Date: Tue, 8 Jan 2002 16:40:20 EST From: Bbbrokworknprog@aol.com Subject: Bad Boy B-Rok:All In The Family 1 Well, well, well, I'm baaaaaaaaaack! Eight months, I know. So eat me. I know I've been on a long long break. Granted this is the longest break I've ever taken. Anyhoo, did ya'll miss me? I know you did. I missed ya'll, too. After writing some more short stories and whatnot, being INCREDIBLY busy with work, family, relationships and all that noise, I decided it would be a hoot to write another section to Bad Boy B-Rok. I always enjoy it, and you guys seem to not mind too much. So, let's get to it: This is all fiction. I don't know the Backstreet Boys--and if I did, I wouldn't tell ya'll 'cause then you guys would be e-mailing me ALL the damn time about them. As far as I know, the BSB are not gay. Since two of them are married, it's safe to say that atleast 40% of them are straight. Why's it always the cutest ones that end up straight? If you have any questions, answers, comments, want to say you hated, liked or loved the story or just want to give me a jignle, you can e-mail me at bbbrokworknprog@aol.com! Anyhoo, hope to hear from you all after such a long long LONG time! Here's the story: "It's hard to wake up when the shades have been pulled shut. This house is haunted. It's so pathetic. It makes no sense at all. I'm ripe with things to say. The words rot and fall away. What stupid poem could fix this home--I'd read it everyday."~Blink 182 in the song 'Stay Together For The Kids'. "All In The Family" Bad Boy B-Rok By-Lep (Part One) "Did your mother call today?" I looked at Brian thru the mirror as I applied eye liner. "You know, you apply make up too well, baby. You're starting to scare me." Brian teased. "Oh, shush. Did she call?" "Yeah, she called a little bit after you left this morning. She said Booker was fine, so stop worrying about him." Brian could read my mind. "I wasn't worried." I snorted, putting down the eyeliner pencil. "You know, the make-up lady will put the cosmetics on for you." "I don't like people holding pointy things near my eye, babes." I explained. "Ah, well I'm sure you wouldn't lose an eye. And if you did, I would exact revenge on the bitch like no other gay man would." Brian came up behind me and kissed me on my cheek. "That's why I love you." I turned my head to kiss him back. "So, how many scenes is Clinnon gonna make you do before the day is up?" Brian laid his head on my shoulder as I began to fuss with my hair. "Just one more, mister Brian. Then I'm all yours for a whole week." I replied in a voice that made me sound eerily like a game show host announcing the runner-up prizes. "Oh goodie!" Brian giggled like a school boy. "You know A.J. and Nick are getting incredibly pissy having to sit around our house while you're busy." "Haven't you taken them out at all?" I asked with a grin. "Yeah, but they just aren't as fun to shop with as you are." Brian nuzzled my neck. "Baby, no one can shop like me. It's just a fact. It's genetic with me. I was meant to carry a platinum Visa card." I teased. "Ain't that the truth?" I took a quick look at myself in the mirror, with Brian's head propped on my shoulder, then slowly stood. "Do I look okay?" I spun around for Brian to look me over. "Good enough to eat." Brian licked his lips and reached out to pull me towards him. "Hold off, horndog. I want to finish this scene and get out of here before you try any funny stuff." "That's not fair!" Brian pretended to be hurt. "Yeah, well tell it to your momma. She might have compassion for you." I teased back. "I doubt it." Brian giggled. "Let me show you to the set, Mr. Thompson." With that, Brian stood and offered his arm for me to grab. I laughed at his display, then laced my arm thru his, letting him lead me out of the trailer. The weather was shitty. The sky was clouded over, leaving a hazy gray tone to the sky and the air around us. It was lightly misting, making it just a bit chilly on the lots. It was very unusual weather for southern california. The weather had forced the crew to set up a covered walkway for the cast to walk under so the mist wouldn't run our make-up. Very gay, if you asked me. Juliette Lewis and I were the only cast members left on set for the rest of the day. The whole cast of around twelve people were on set earlier in the day, but things were fucking up as the day went on so scene after scene was cut from the schedule throughout the day. Finally, Clinnon had a complete hissy-fit and told everyone to just start the week long break early. I was beginning to thank God when he told Juliette and I to stay behind to film just one scene. We both grunted and groaned, but relented and went to put our make-up on. We had to film our big "love scene". Okay, you're probably wanting me to explain what I'm doing in a movie where I actually have sex with a--gasp--girl. Well, I can explain everything. I had signed the contract with Bob & Barbara to star in the new Clinnon Davis movie. Which was kind of exciting since Clinnon was actually doing a "studio movie" and had requested me specifically. However, I didn't know what kind of movie I was going to be doing until a week before it began filming. That's when they actually sent me the script. To make a very long story short, my character is a male slut. He practically fucks everything that moves. Men, women, teenagers, just whatever. My character is an aspiring actor in Hollywood--sound familiar--and he's trying to make his mark. Trying to become famous. And he realizes, during the process of trying to get noticed, that he has to give up some booty to get noticed. So basically, it's tacky and in the worst taste. It'll make millions and be a blockbuster, I'm sure. Anything that has as much sex and dirty words as this movie was going to have, it was bound to be a huge deal. I sorta liked the idea of doing a movie that was going to be about raunchy sex, foul mouthed young actors, and complete moral deterioration. I haven't done a movie like it before, anyway. I knew Brian enjoyed watching me on the set, too. He was sure to be there for any scene where I had very few or no clothes on. But atleast that let me know he was still interested in seeing his boyfriend nude. That was always reassuring, I guess. A week after the movie began production, Brian and I sent Booker to stay with his parents in Kentucky. It was too hard on Booker to spend a summer with no one to play with or be able to pay attention to him. When he was in school, it would be easier, because he would be occupied for eight hours out of everyday. Until the fall, though, he was going to be staying with Brian's parents. He seemed to be be loving it with them, though. Jackie and Harold seemed to treat him like one of their own kids. Well, like a grandchild. He needed someone that could give him that kind of attention right now. I hated having him away from me, and I knew Brian missed him, but it was best for Booker. Kevin and Howie had gone back to Orlando for vacation. They wanted to check on their houses, see their families, all that noise. A.J. and Nick, on the other hand, had wanted to stay behind with Brian and me. They wanted to help us get settled into the new house. They also wanted to fuck like bunnies without their families getting too grossed out. After my little puking and pouring my heart out incident at the club, A.J. and Nick figured I needed friends around to help me thru this new transition in my life. Apparently, I had poured my heart out to A.J. after I had upchucked in the toilet. I didn't really remember too much of what I said, due to the fact that I was drunk. A.J. gave the shortened version that I said I was so scared about being a "daddy", buying a house, and what might happen if anyone found out about Brian and myself. Drunken blubbering is definitely enlightening. "Matt, Clinnon has gone off the deep-end." Juliette whispered as Brian and I walked up next to her on the set. "What do you mean?" I whispered back as I peered out over the cameras to see the Clinnon pacing back and forth and screaming at the producers. "Well Roger told him we need to calm down on the sexual content. And apparently he thinks that compromises the integrity of the film." Juliette rolled her eyes. "Were those his exact words?" I smiled to myself. "Yes. Scary, huh?" She smiled. "We're compromising integrity by cutting back on the sex?" I stated sarcastically. "Sounds very odd to me." Brian shook his head. "Clinnon has a habit of using that as an excuse to be reckless and irresponsible, baby." I answered for both Juliette and I. "Ah, gotcha." "Go over there and see if you can settle them down. I'm afraid they might start throwing fists soon." Juliette giggle nervously as she looked over at the three men again. "Alright, I'll be right back. Entertain this thing for me." I replied and shoved Brian towards Juliette. "You got it." Juliette smiled as I began to walk over towards the group of people. When I was within twenty feet, I heard the F-word used in one sentence about twenty times. I stopped, cringed, then began walking towards them again. "You can't fucking tell me what to do with the fucking movie. If I want every scene to be Matt and Juliette fucking like rabbits, I'll do it. Now get the fuck off my set!" You'd have thought Clinnon was gay as dramatic as he was. "Listen to me, you limey bastard, I'm the fucking producer here. I'll pull the fucking plug on this movie so fast your head will spin." Roger replied, pointing his finger at Clinnon for emphasis. "What seems to be the problem, guys?" I asked sweetly, making everyone in the crowd of people stop and turn to look at me. Clinnon and Roger both looked at me for a good ten seconds before they visibly relaxed. "This bugger is trying to turn my film into crap." Clinnon stated, but rather calmly. "And this son of a bitch is trying to make a porno." Roger replied calmly. "Can't we come to a compromise, guys? It's getting late and Juliette and I would really love to just film the scene so we can go home for the week." I tried to reason with them. "You can't film this sex scene. There are already twenty." Roger dead-panned. "Not all of them will be in the film, you tight ass." Clinnon raised his voice. "Listen, when you had Matt and Tom completely nude and writhing on top of each other, I didn't say anything. When you had Matt and Ben simulating oral sex on each other, no one said anything. When Kristin and Matt were fucking like bunnies, I turned my head. And when you had Kristin and Juliette going at it completely nude, no one stopped you. But from what I've heard, this scene is going to be even more graphic than all the others before. You're going to end up with an NC-17 rating, Clinnon. The studio won't tolerate it." "You fuc--" "How about this?" I stopped Clinnon before he went into another colorful rant. "Juliette and I will stay clothed and improvise?" Roger and Clinnon both turned to look at me, intrigued by the suggestion. "How can you have sex fully clothed?" Roger cocked his head, genuinely interested in hearing more. "You apparently don't try many things sexually, do you?" I teased. "I don't think it will be very interesting with the clothes on." Clinnon stated, but seemed to be thinking it over. "Has anyone ever seen 'The Last Seduction'?' I raised my hand. Just about everyone nodded or raised their hand. "Well, in the scene where Linda Fiorentino all but jacks off Peter Berg at the table in the redneck bar? That was hot. And you really didn't see anything but her hand in his pants and them talking was hot. You don't need full nudity to make it hot, guys." Roger and Clinnon looked at me for a good thirty seconds. I could almost see the wheels turning in their heads. "I can deal with that." Roger was the first to respond. "It sounds like a brilliant idea, actually." Clinnon smiled. "Good, now we've all agreed. Juliette and I will be over there whenever you're ready for us, guys." I smiled, turned around, and walked away before they could stop me. Juliette was already smiling when I began walking towards them. "Thank God you showed up." She stated with a loud breath as I walked up next to Brian again. "Thank you, thank you." I bowed my head quickly, making Brian and Juliette laugh. "Atleast they stopped fighting." "Yeah, I would like to go home sometime today." I smiled over at her. "Me too." Brian wrapped an arm around my shoulders. "Yeah, yeah. I know." I giggled. The three of us stood there for another ten minutes, watching as the crew and cameramen set up to do the scene. Roger finally realized that he could trust Clinnon to go with the "fully clothed idea" and left the set. Within another ten minutes, Clinnon finally decided he was ready to shoot the scene. "Okay, you two, get over here." Juliette and I finally woke up from being bored to death to see Clinnon waving an arm at us. "Be back in a few, baby." I winked at Brian as Juliette grabbed my hand and drug me towards set. "Take your places." Clinnon flipped a hand at us, not really even looking at us. "Alright." Juliette replied quickly as we took our places as instructed. "Everyone quiet on set. I'd like to get this in one fucking take if possible." Clinnon was being colorful again. (Part Two) "It's about time you got home!" A.J. lept up from the couch. A.J. and Nick apparently had been curled up in each other's arms on the couch watching some DVD movie when Brian and I walked in. It was beginning to get dark outside. The sun was setting, leaving the sky two-toned. Part was a darkening blue and the lower half was that warm red that made you want to curl up in a blanket with someone you loved. Looking down into the den from the doorway was quite a sight. Brian had decorated the room, and he did an unbelievable job. There were about five stairs leading down into the lowered level room. The walls across from the door had been ripped out and replaced with a lot more windows. A sliding glass door had been put in that lead out onto the deck. The only bit of wall that was left after the windows were put in was filled with a fifty-two inch television and every state of the art accessory. The room was filled with overstuffed, but fashionable, chairs and sofas. The sofa could easily fit ten people on it comfortably and every chair was actually a chair and a half. Candles cluttered the room. The carpet and all the other knick knacks and decorations were earth tones that made the room seem very tranquil, despite the bohemeth of a T.V. glaring at you. It was definitely my favorite room to chill out in. I was suddenly jealous of A.J. and Nick when I realized that they had gotten to lay together and watch DVD's all day while I was working. Ofcourse, if it had been the other way around, I probably wouldn't have felt one damn bit guilty, either. "Hey, some of us have to work for a living." I teased as I sauntered down the steps and over to the couch to sit down. "So, what are we watching girls?" "Tomb Raider." Nick replied, not bothering to sit up. "Not again. We watch that every night." I moaned as I kicked off my shoes and laid back against one of the throw pillows. "Lara Croft is my woman!" A.J. plopped back down next to Nick. "She's hot." Nick agreed. "Any sexy woman in booty shorts with a whip and an attitude gets your little gay hearts pumping, huh?" "What do you want for dinner, baby?" Brian peeked his head thru the doorway. "Fajitas!" Nick & A.J. replied in unison. "Who was talking to ya'll?" Brian laughed. "Fajitas are fine, baby." I cocked my head around just far enough to smile at him. "Woohoo!" Nick laughed. "Steak or Chicken?" Brian asked. "Chicken." I replied quickly so A.J. and Nick wouldn't beat me to it. "Alright." Brian replied then was off towards the kitchen again. I leaned forward and picked up the first magazine I touched off of the coffee table. I opened the mag and leaned back, propping my feet up on the table. "So, how was your day at work, dear." Nick giggled as he crawled down the couch to me and laid his head in my lap, looking up at me. "Just fine, honey." I smiled down at him for a second, then turned my eyes back to my mag. "We've been utterly bored without you here." Nick stated dramatically, clasping his hands to his chest. "It's good to know you guys missed me." I replied, not even looking down at him. "I'm not kidding. Brian's not nearly as entertaining as you." "Okay, Nick. What do you want?" I closed the magazine and looked down at him. "Poker night." Nick replied quickly, not showing any emotion. "Yeah, poker night." A.J. followed up. "We are not having a poker night." I laughed, knowing what he meant by "poker night". "Pleeeeeeeeeease? We haven't done poker night in FOREVER!" Nick wrapped his arms around my waist and hugged me, pleading into my stomach. "Get out of my lap before Brian comes in and thinks you're getting freaky." "If that'll make you agree to poker night." Nick looked up at me misheviously. "Oh good lord. Fine, if you guys want a poker night, we'll do poker night." I sighed, then opened my magazine again. Nick and A.J. both practically jumped up off the couch and cheered. "What's going on?" Brian peeked into the den again, a half an onion in one hand and a knife in the other. "We're having poker night tonight, baby." I sighed, still reading my magazine. Brian cheered, too. "You better go to the liquor store, baby." "Oh, goodie." I snarled, put the magazine back on the table and reached for my shoes. "I'll go with you." Nick volunteered. Before I could say anything, he had run to his room and grabbed a pair of shoes. "Are we ready to go?" Nick asked as he pulled the sneakers on quickly. "Yeah, let's go do this." I replied as I walked towards the garage door. "Don't forget the pineapple juice!" A.J. hollered as I opened the door. "And cranberry!" Brian followed up. Poker night. The night when all flavors and varieties of liquor had to be bought. When you think of poker night, I'm sure you all think of a bunch of buddies getting together and gambling their paychecks away. Poker night at our house was actually somewhat different. Since Nick and A.J. practically moved in with us, poker night had taken on an all new meaning. Poker night had started a month before. After Booker went to Kentucky with Brian's parents, the four of us had a night full of drinking, dancing, eating and acting like complete idiots. We did play cards, but most of the night was spent drinking like fish and putting on music to dance and make fools of ourselves to. It was fun, I had to admit. But the guys seemed to be becoming addicted to "poker night". Oh well, I guess there are worse addictions. "Let's go to Larry's. They have more of a selection." Nick replied as he hopped into Brian's BMW. "Oh, so I see we're going to take Brian's car." I laughed. "Hell, he takes yours all the time when you're gone to work." Nick let the cat out of the bag. "I wouldn't doubt it." I replied as I slid into the driver's seat. "Well, he likes to save gas." "And make sure he doesn't wear out his car." I laughed as I started the car. Nick just laughed at me as I clicked the garage door opener remote and backed out. I backed out into the driveway and closed the garage door. Before I had even driven down the driveway and thru the electronic gate, Nick had the radio on and was flipping thru stations. "Sucks. Sucks. Sucks. Sucks big dick." Nick stated blandly as he pushed buttons. "Oh, wait wait, I love that song." I grabbed Nick's wrist as I pulled onto the highway that would take us to Larry's Liquor. "Which one?" Nick asked as he pushed the button again. "That one!" I grabbed his hand again. "This one?" Nick looked shocked. "Yeah, this is my jam." I smiled as Jo Dee Messina's song 'Burn' began to play. "Do you want to be a poet and write? Do you wanna be an actor up in lights? Do you wanna be a soldier and fight for love? Do you wanna travel the world?" I sung along. "Brian has been a very bad influence on you, mister Matt." Nick stuck his tongue out in disgust. "Okay, so it's country, shut up." I laughed. "Yeah, well it sucks." Nick squinched his face up. "I want you to burn. Burn for me, baby. Like a candle in my night. Oh, burn. Burn for me, burn for me." I smiled widely and sang to Nick the schmooziest I could. "You are country." Nick laughed as I sang to him. "Hey, you and A.J. tattoo yourselves, I listen to country now. We all make accomodations for our significant others." I said the last words with a lisp. "True. But you have a pierced tongue, so you've done more than just one." Nick replied logically. "Okay, turn the damn station before we have to discuss this first." "Now this is much better." Nick stated as 'Livin' It Up' by Ja Rule began pouring out of the speakers. "Well atleast it's a song we can both enjoy." I smiled. "Don't miss the turn." Nick pointed at the off ramp as he bobbed his head up and down to the beat. I got off the highway, went under the underpass and pulled into the parking lot of Larry's Liquor. The neon sign thirty feet above us flashed blue, red and green. We were the only car besides the one that obviously belonged to the guy that was working. "Okay, we need wine for dinner, Absolut Mandarin, Malibu, Midori, Rose's Lime Juice, Cranberry Juice, Pineapple Juice, Southern Comfort, Blue Curacao, Tangeray, Dry Vermouth, Patron Silver, Sweet & Sour, Orange Juice, olives, cherries, limes, lemons..." Nick began running the list off audibly. "Do ya' think a platinum card will be enough to cover all that?" I laughed, already thinking of a three figure total in my head. "I've got some cards, too. Don't worry, sexy." Nick wrapped an arm around my shoulders with a sly grin. "Let's just try to spend less than an hour in here." I teased. "Okay, that's the sixth and final bag." Nick put the last paper bag down on the counter next to the other five. "Did you two buy out the whole damn store?" Brian laughed and gave me a peck on the cheek as he took the last dish towards the table. "Correction--did Nick buy the whole damn store." I replied. "What does everyone want with dinner?" Nick stated loud enough for A.J. and Brian to hear in the dining room. "I want wine!" A.J. hollered back. "Merlot or Chardonay?" Nick replied loudly. "What do you think?" A.J. stated sarcastically. "Merlot it is." Nick giggled. "What about you Brian?" I asked loud enough for him to hear. "Hmmmm." I realized Brian was right behind me when he wrapped his arms around my neck. "How a Southern Screw?" I laughed loudly as Brian pressed his groin into my butt. "You think you can manage that, baby?" Brian nibbled lightly on my neck. "I think I can handle that." I rolled my head to the side with a smile so he had full access to my neck. "And a cherry." Brian stated as he pulled away from my neck after a final kiss. "Oooh, I want in on that action." I looked over to see Nick leering at us. "Shush you." I smiled. "Hurry up, baby." Brian slapped my butt playfully. "Food's getting cold." "Aight, baby." I slapped his butt back as he walked away. "Damn, ya'll are kinky." Nick teased. "Shut up and hand me the Merlot, the southern comfort, orange juice, vodka, rose's lime juice, cranberry juice, and the cherries." I stated quickly. "What are you gonna have?" Nick asked as he began handing me bottles. "A Cosmopolitan." "How gay are you?" Nick laughed. "Fix me one, too, then." "Takes one to know one." I laughed. Nick and I got all the drinks mixed and poured and finally were able to join the guys at the dining room table. "It's good to see you guys waited." I laughed when I saw Brian taking the first bite out of a fajita. "We were hungry, sexy." Brian patted the chair next to him. "Yeah, it looks like it." I grinned as I sat down in the chair next to him. "Here, baby." Brian held the fajita up to my mouth. I took a small bite, then washed it down with some of my drink. "Mmmm, tasty, baby." I congratulated him on his cooking abilities, then gave him a quick kiss. "Oops, missed some." Brian stuck his tongue out to get some sour cream off the side of my mouth. "Ya'll are giving me a tooth ache." A.J. turned his nose up at us as he let Nick feed him a piece of chicken. "Look who's talking." Brian snarled playfully, then planted his lips on mine, shocking me. "I don't know if you or the fajita tastes better." "You ain't too bad your damn self." I winked. I retired to laying a hand on Brian's thigh and rubbing it softly as he ate and I filled up on my first of many to come cosmopolitans. Nick seemed to have the same idea as me. Neither one of us wanted to fill up on food and ruin our drink. Brian and A.J. took their good sweet time eating--either that or they were just eating alot. Nick had to get up and refill our drinks for us before Brian and A.J. finally gave up on eating what was left. "I'm stuffed, baby." Brian sighed contentedly as I ran my hand up and down his thigh absentmindedly. "Well, share a shaker of Pearl Divers with me and that'll cure it." I rubbed his belly and leaned in to kiss him. "Mmmm, sounds good." "Go lay back in the den and I'll be right there. Nick, help me out, boy." I stood up and took off towards the kitchen. "Follow Brian, baby. We'll be right there." Nick kissed A.J. quickly before getting up. (Part Three) I couldn't exactly remember what made dancing on the coffee table such a good idea. I did know that we had had about fifteen Pearl Divers apiece, though. Granted, they were just in martini glasses, but I wasn't sparing the liquor in them either. Another thing I couldn't remember is why it seemed like a good idea to strip down to just my boxer briefs and Doc Martins. But it sure seemed like alot of fun. "Yeah, take it off, baby!" Brian squealed, laughing loudly as I gyrated on top of the table. Oh yeah, that's why I thought it was a good idea. Brian must have suggested it. He always put me up to these kinds of things when I'd been drinking. Yeah, it was all his fault. Ofcourse, I didn't really remember him telling me to strip. He had just told me to dance for him. I guess I had come up with the stripping part. But since he was yelling for me to take it off now, it was ALL his fault. "Give me a dollar, A.J." Nick screamed over the music. As soon as the money changed hands, Nick jumped up from his place on the couch and began waving the dollar in my face as I wiggled my hips in front of him. "Work for it, boy!" Nick laughed, egging me on to dancing sexier for him. I laughed loudly and got my crotch as close to his face as possible, without actually making contact, and wiggled my hips seductively for him. Nick made a few cat calls, followed by A.J. and Brian, then pulled the waistband of my boxerbriefs out and stuck the dollar in. Before he let the waistband go, he looked inside quick, then let it snap back to my waist. "WOO HOO!" Nick laughed and then plopped down next to A.J. again. I finally gave up my game of seduction and hopped off the table. I plopped down next to Brian and laid down, laying the upper part of my body across his lap. I smiled goofily up at him. "You are too much, Matt." Brian smiled down at me and kissed me on the forehead. "I know, I know." I let out a breath and smiled. "Let's have more drinks!" A.J. stated loudly, even louder than the music was playing. "I was thinking the same thing!" I hopped up off of Brian and grabbed the two martini shakers off the coffee table. As soon as I was in the kitchen, I poured each shaker a third full of malibu rum, filled both up to halfway with Midori, then topped them both off with pineapple juice. I gave them both a good shake and ran back into the den so I wouldn't miss too much. Brian, A.J. and Nick were perfect gentlemen, they let me pour their martini glasses full for them. As soon as all four glasses were full, I plopped back down in Brian's lap. "You know, you're rather sexy in those, baby." Brian winked at me and popped the band of my underwear. "Why thank you, Mista Littrell." I used my best southern gentile lady accent. "I was thinking the same thing." I felt Nick running his hand up my thigh. "You think everyone is sexy." Brian laughed, but didn't push Nick's hand off of my thigh. "Yeah, horndog." I raised my head to look at Nick. "A.J., are you going to let them talk to me like that?" NIck acted like he was offended as his fingertips went up the leghole slightly. "Well, it's kinda true, baby." A.J. made Brian and I crack up. "Okay, it's true." Nick relented and left his hand on my thigh, halfway up the leg of my boxer briefs. I don't know why, but since Brian and A.J. didn't make Nick stop being a skank, I just let him leave his hand where it was. The three of us just laid back on the couch as "Standing Still" by Jewel and "Killin' Kind" by Shelby Lynne blasted on the stereo. The third song finally started to play. "Ooooh, that's my jam!" Nick squeezed my thigh as 'Family Affair' by Mary J. Blige started playing.
