This will be a Justin Timberlake centered story. This story is in no way meant to imply that he is homosexual in real life. This story is simply the work of a fan and is pure fiction. I don't own The Lord of the Ring or any other works of the series. The rights of the series goes solely to the series author JRR Tolkien. Now that's out of the way. This story appeared in my head when I was trapped in the car with my relatives for a 24-hour road trip. I was really really bored! I shudder just thinking about that trip. Anyway, if your below legal age to read this where your from, then all I can tell you is stop and don't let your parents catch you. He he that's not much of a warning, but hey what else can I do. Now if you have any comments, feedback or you just want to drop a word. Send them to SilvenFox@yahoo.com I forgot to say this last chapter, but the song that Justin sang is called Only Hope and it is from the movie A Walk to Remember. And also a reader pointed out to me that Legolas's eyes are blue. I said they were green. My fault. ;) Now on with the story. Chapter 4 Justin awoke yawning as the first morning rays of the sun filtered into his room. A light knock sounded from the door. Arwen opened the door and entered the room with a pile of neatly folded clothes in her hands. She smiled down at him. "The fellowship will leave shortly. You must be ready." Justin nodded sleepily. He got out the bed and went to pile of clothes that Arwen had lain on the table. It was a week's worth of outfits. Each looked relatively the same except the colors were all different. He fingered the soft material lightly and smiled at Arwen. "Thank you," he said grateful. She nodded and walked to the door. She turned around and gazed at Justin with those all knowing blue eyes. "No, thank you. You are truly a kind spirit for accepting this task. Iluvatar chose will." Arwen swept from the room before Justin could say a response. ******* A short time later Justin exited his room dressed in a light blue tunic. It was complete with a set of brown knee length boots and a matching pair of silver forearm protectors. He entered the courtyard and saw only three members of the fellowship. They seemed to be in the stages of last minute preparation. Aragorn, Boromir, and Legolas were loading up a small pony with their things. He winced in sympathy for the poor horse, for the load was no light one. "Good morning. Where is the rest of our companions?" he asked. "They are all saying goodbye to Frodo's Uncle Bilbo. Gimli went to speed up the process," Aragorn answered. Aragorn picked up something from the ground and walked over to Justin. "Here, I have something for you." Justin plucked the object from his hands and took the off the cloth that covered it. Nestled in the folds of the fabric lay a black belt with a black scabbard and sword attached. He unsheathed the sword and gasped at its craftsmanship. The sword had a silver handle and guard. The blade itself was steel and was curved slightly like a samurai's sword. He tested the blade in his hand was surprised to feel as if he had handled a sword all his life. He took a couple of swings and shocked himself at how easy the motions came. He didn't even have to think about it. It felt as if he instinctually knew how to use the weapon even though he had never handled a sword in his life. Aragorn watched the younger man do a sequence of sword attacks as if he were a born warrior. He knew that Iluvatar had changed the young man when he sent him here but from what he picked up from Justin last night he didn't seem like the warrior type. He didn't have the hardness in his eyes that he himself had. Justin stopped his movements and sheathed the sword. 'I'll have to ask Gandalf about this later.' He filed the thought away to bring up to the wizard later. "I wouldn't have taken you for a warrior. Have you used a sword before?" asked Aragorn. He shook his head. "No that was my first time." "How did you know how to do those moves?" He was just as perplexed as the ranger was. "I don't know. It just came so easily." He grinned widely. "Maybe with my new Elvish blood and years of watching the Highlander movies has finally paid off." Aragorn brow furrowed in confusion. "I do not understand." Justin sighed. "It's just my luck that this world doesn't have TV's," he muttered to the air. He walked a little way off and leaned against the bark of a large tree. He turned his head as he felt someone come up beside him. "Are you all right?" Boromir asked concerned. He grinned. "I'm all right. Thanks for asking. I'm just missing my home a little, you know?" Boromir nodded. "I do know of the same feeling. I left Gondor not at the best time." "What happened?" Justin had heard some of the current conditions of Middle Earth last night at dinner. However, he didn't hear of the white city's fate as of late. His face suddenly became distant. "My city has never been the same since Aragorn deserted us after his father died. We have the difficulty of holding together a king-less city and defending against the forces of Mordor at the same time." Justin placed a hand on his shoulder in comfort. Out of the corner of his eye he could see Legolas standing next to Aragorn and the pony. He was looking at the two of them with an expression that Justin couldn't identify. Boromir snapped out of his sorrow as he felt the hand on his shoulder. He graced Justin with a small smile. Right as Boromir opened his mouth to say something Gandlaf walked into the courtyard with the rest of fellowship in tow. All the Elves of Rivendell had gathered to see them off. Elrond gave them a final parting speech then they set off. Arwen waved to Aragorn from one of the higher balconies. Aragorn touched a necklace that hung around his neck and nodded his head at her. Justin smiled at their display of love. They crossed the bridge and made their way up the steep steps that led out of the valley that housed Imladris. Together they gazed down at the refuge nestled within the valley. After a moment in peaceful silence they continued their way on the path never looking back. ******* It was after a couple of days that Justin had started to get bored. To make matters worse when he asked Gandalf how far they had to go the wizard replied with, "We must hold to this course, west from the Misty Mountains for 40 days. If our luck holds, the Gap of Rohan will still be open to us. From there our road turns east to Mordor." It's not that Justin was tired from all the walking on the contrary he was not even winded. He attributed it to the Elvish in him. Over the past couple of days he had started to get used to the group. He loved it when they were travelling in the afternoon that was when Gandalf would tell them tales of his own travels. The old wizard never ceased to amaze him with the elaborate stories he told. They were currently walking along an expense of land that seemed to go on and on. Justin was in the middle of the pack with the hobbits. He was softly humming and walking at the same time. A habit of his that he has been trying to break. Frodo turned to him. "What is that you're humming? Is that a song you made up?" Justin looked down at little hobbit. He had come to a friendship of sorts with the halfling. They both were put in situations that is more than any one person should bear. "Yes. It's a song of mine. It's called Cry Me a River." "Could you sing it to us?" Merry asked bouncing from foot to foot. "Yeah! Sing it to us," Pippin chorused. "Oh all right," Justin laughingly agreed. The hobbits never ending supply of energy was a constant source of amusement for all of them. "You little guys are good." You were my sun You were my earth But you didn't know all the ways I loved you, no So you took a chance And made other plans But I bet you didn't think that they would come crashing down, no You don't have to say, what you did, I already know, I found out from him Now there's just no chance, for you and me, there'll never be And don't it make you sad about it You told me you loved me Why did you leave me, all alone Now you tell me you need me When you call me, on the phone Girl I refuse, you must have me confused With some other guy Your bridges were burned, and now it's your turn To cry, cry me a river Cry me a river-er Cry me a river Cry me a river-er, yea yea I know that they say That something's are better left unsaid It wasn't like you only talked to him and you know it All of these things people told me Keep messing with my head You should've picked honesty Then you may not have blown it You don't have to say, what you did, I already know, I found out from him Now there's just no chance, for you and me, there'll never be And don't it make you sad about it You told me you loved me Why did you leave me, all alone Now you tell me you need me When you call me, on the phone Girl I refuse, you must have me confused With some other guy Your bridges were burned, and now it's your turn To cry, cry me a river Cry me a river-er Cry me a river Cry me a river-er, yea yea Justin once again finished to hear nothing but silence. Just like in the dining hall in Rivendell they stared at him transfixed. Also, like in Rivendell Legolas seemed to be the first to come out of his dazed state. "That was beautiful. I have never heard anything like it," Legolas said softly. Justin shivered slightly at what the effect of the Elf's voice did to him. Blue met blue as they locked gazes. Boromir clapping loudly broke the moment. He patted Justin on the back. Justin broke his stare, but not before seeing a flash of emotion appear in the elf's eyes before it disappeared. "That was well done. It was very moving." Boromir congratulated. He looked at the hobbits to see them enthusiastically nodding along with the Steward of Gondor's praise. "Justin what is a phone?" asked Sam. Justin laughed and spent the better part of an hour trying to tell the curious hobbits how a telephone worked. That eventually led into a discussion on the Internet and then cell phones. By the end of day, it was safe to say that Justin had a headache. *********** They made camp for the night in a clearing in a wooded area. They didn't want Sauron's spies to see them out in the open. It is imperious that the Dark Lord not know of their location. Justin's hormones were going haywire. He glared at the elf across the fire. Legolas was singing. But not in Common Tongue. He was singing in Elvish and the very sound of the Elf's voice was enough to send him into heat. Of course Justin couldn't really blame the Elf. He didn't know what he was doing. But that didn't stop Justin from glaring at him. He cursed Iluvatar and Legolas's parents for making someone so perfect. Justin stopped glaring as he realized that Boromir, who was sitting next to him, was trying to get his attention. "Huh...What?" he asked sheepishly. Boromir grinned and looked at Legolas then at Justin. He leaned close to Justin. "You see something you like," he whispered in his ear. Justin snapped his head around. "What are you talking about?" he asked his eyes the size of saucers. Boromir grinned like a Cheshire cat. "You like the Elf." He stated still whispering. 'I'm was having too much fun with this,' Boromir decided. He didn't want to embarrass his young friend, but he just so easy to tease and he turned so many different shades of red too. Justin decided to try to turn the tables. If he appeared non-caring then Boromir would stop teasing. "So." He shrugged. Boromir smirked. "Don't try to play coy with me Justin. I see the way you look at him." "Damn," he softly cursed. Boromir chuckled. "Are you going to tell him?" Justin snorted. "Yeah right." Neither Justin nor Boromir noticed the blonde in question look at them from across the campfire. He saw the two men lean into each other and laugh hysterically. Suddenly, Boromir leaned over to Justin and whispered into his ear. Justin became quiet and started to blush heavily. A heavy feeling in his chest right where his heart was started to ache painfully. He couldn't stand to see the two of them together any longer. He stood and did an abrupt about face and marched into the woods. Only two people in the whole camp noticed the events. Aragorn started to get up to go and comfort his friend. A hand holding his wrist stopped him from getting up from the ground. Gandalf looked at the ranger. "Let them handle this on their own. If they can't handle this then the trials ahead will surely overcome them." With a sigh Aragorn sat back down and stared at the spot his friends ran into. Justin looked across the fire expecting to see Legolas, but found only air. He quickly searched around the make shift camp hastily. He turned to Boromir. "Boromir where did Legolas go?" Boromir heard the worry in his friend's voice. He looked around and turned back to Justin. "I don't know." "You don't think something happened to him, do you?" "No he was just here and if something happened we would know." Justin sighed. "If your sure." Boromir nodded, "I'm sure. Now stop worrying." ************ On a rock overlooking a small clear lake sat Legolas. A beautiful melody filled the air. Even though language was foreign the haunting tune's message was clear. It told of heartbreak. Legolas finished the last note of the sorrowful song and wiped at his face. He looked down at his fingertips surprised. Wet tears coated the tips. He closed his eyes and let the rest of his tears flow. *********** So what do you think. Do you like it? If you have any comments, feedback or you just want to drop a word send them to SilvenFox@yahoo.com. Am I being too hard on the blonde Elf.
