Dying Eyes
Chapter 7-8

Author's Note: I'd just like to start this off by saying I'm really sorry. I got really caught up in some personal stuff, and I completely abandoned Dying Eyes. When I finally did remember, I noticed the chapters were missing, as my computer had gone through some serious problems. On the brighter side, I've decided to start working on Dying Eyes again. This time hopefully, for good. I'd just like to thank everyone who emailed me, supporting me through my issues, and for everyone else who emailed me, even after my email account had been deleted. I truly apologize for not getting them, and or not replying to them. Without further ado here's Chapter's 7 and 8…

Disclaimer: The following story in no way implies that I truly know the
sexual orientation of either of the REAL Backstreet Boys. I don't know
them personally, nor do I know anything concrete about them. This story is
STIRCTLY fictional.

Chapter 7

Kevin and I decided to just go upstairs and straight to bed, instead of allowing any time for Jamie to make comments. We both shouted goodnight and practically ran upstairs.

Once inside his bedroom I stopped and took a good look around.

Kevin continued in and started to pick a few things off the floor.

"Sorry. I wasn't expecting company." He said embarrassed.

"It's ok." I smiled, "I wasn't expecting to stay."

Kevin sat down on the edge of his bed and patted the mattress beside him. I walked over and sat down.

"I hope you don't think we're moving too fast…" he said looking down.

"No." I said before he could continue, "I don't think there's any real speed to any kind of relationship. Things just happen. Simple as that."

I hoped I had made him feel a little bit more comfortable with him asking me to stay.

He looked up and smiled at me.

"I think we should get some sleep." He started, "I know you have to work tomorrow, and I have to be at the studio at around 9."

I nodded and stood.

"Let me grab you something more comfortable to sleep in." he smiled as he walked over to his dresser.

He pulled out a pair of shorts, and a t-shirt.

"Thanks." I said as he handed them to me.

"I'm going to go in to the bathroom to change. I'll be out in a moment." he said walking towards a door on the other side of his room.

"Ok." I smiled.

As soon as he closed the door I began to strip down. I managed to undressed, and dressed again before he came out of the bathroom.

He walked over to his alarm clock and began to push some buttons.

"What time is ok for you?" he asked.

"8 is fine." I said.

He finished with the alarm clock and he pulled back his blankets on the bed.

"After you." He smiled as he motioned for me to hop in.

I walked around to the other side of the bed and climbed in. He followed.

We laid there for a few moments just looking at each other.

"Goodnight Davey." He smiled.

"Goodnight Kev." I replied.

He leaned over and kissed me on the cheek. I smiled and he turned off the lights.

I lied there on my back for a few moments, and then I felt his arm land across my chest. I reached up with my hand and gently caressed his arm. For some reason, this felt really good.

A few hours later

I suddenly awoke from sleep. I quickly sat up and looked around. I looked at the clock and immediately remembered where I was. The clock read 3:30am.

I looked over at Kevin. I could hear him breathing. It was slow and steady. I put my arm around
him, and moved closer to him. The heat from his body was driving me insane. Soon afterwards I fell asleep again.

The alarm clock woke me at 8. I opened my eyes and looked over at Kevin.

"Good morning." He smiled at me.

"Good morning." I smiled back.

"Did you sleep ok?" he asked.

"Yes. I did thank you. Did you?" I asked.

"Better then I have in a long time." He smiled again.

I kissed him on the forehead and got up from the bed.

"I need to get home so I can get ready for work." I said with a frown.

Kevin got up from the bed as well.

"Ok. Do you think maybe you'd want to get together later?" he asked excitedly.

"I'd love to. I'll give you a call as soon as I'm done work." I smiled.

He walked over to me and we hugged. It felt so warm. So safe. I wished we could stand there hugging forever. Was I falling in love with Kevin? I shrugged off the question that popped into my mind and said my good bye, and left.
An hour later

I walked into the office and was greeted by Jennifer.

"Where were you last night?" she grinned from ear to ear.

"Heh. I spent the night at my cousin's house." I smiled.

"Oh hehe. I though maybe you had found a 'friend'." She laughed.

I chuckled and made my way into my office.

"Are there any messages for me?" I asked.

"Nope. None." She answered.

"Maybe we've got ourselves a bright group here then. They apparently don't have any questions about their job. That's always a good thing." I said chuckling.

"Looks that way!" Jennifer laughed.

"Ok. I have a few meetings set up this morning, with a few of the clients. Hopefully we haven't lost them. This walk out has made them very nervous." I said sifting through my agenda.

"Did you want me to hold all your calls?" Jennifer asked.

"No. That's ok. If a call comes through don't worry about interrupting the meeting." I smiled.

"Yes sir." Jennifer said, "Is there anything else?"

"Nope that's it thanks Jennifer." I said as she turned and walked back out to her desk.

I gathered my paperwork and my laptop, and headed towards the conference room. My first appointment was already waiting.

Chapter 8

A few hours later, I was through with my meetings.

"How did it go sir?" Jennifer asked me as I walked back into my office.

I let out a grunt.

"That bad huh?" she laughed.

"Nah. It wasn't too bad. I had to convince them the company wasn't falling apart. It took a lot. They were ready to walk out as soon as I walked in. They weren't pleased. I reassured them. I've managed to convince them to stay, at least until I've got things under control here." I stated.

"That's great sir!" Jennifer got excited.

"Yup. Now I need to check on those new projects. I'll be around the building for most of the afternoon, so it may be hard to find me." I said standing up collecting some folders.

"Sure thing boss. I'll take messages while you're gone. Is there anything specific you want me to do with those folders on my desk?" she asked.

"I need you to go through them. Find which ones are out of date, rewrite them, and then file them." I said.

"Not a problem." Jennifer led the way out of my office.

"Thanks Jennifer. I'll see you in a bit." I smiled as I headed towards the elevator.
A few hours later I returned to my office.

"Any messages Jen?" I asked.

"Just one sir. Mr. Thompson called." She smirked.

"Great." I said sarcastically as I entered my office.

I called Mr. Thompson and finished off any work I needed to get done before leaving the office. It was a good hour before I was able to leave.

"Alright then. I'm off." I said to Jennifer.

"You going to be home tonight David?" she asked.

"I don't think I will be. I have some plans. I'll give you a shout later. Ok?" I smiled.

"Sure." She returned my smile.

I left the office and made my way home. As I entered I noticed my phone was blinking. I picked it up and proceeded to collect my messages.

One was from my mom, one from my sister, one from Jamie, and the last from Kevin.

Hey Davey, it's Kev. Just wanted to know if we were still on for tonight. I'm not sure what you want to do, but I've got some ideas. Give me a call when you get in.

I deleted the messages and proceeded to dial Jamie's home #. As it rang, I walked into the kitchen to make myself a sandwich.

"Hello?" Kevin answered the phone.

"Hey." I said.

"Oh hi Davey!" Kevin's voice sounded a lot more upbeat then it did a second ago when he answered.

"I just got in from work. I got your message. What were you thinking about doing?" I asked.

"Well, I was thinking maybe we could go catch a concert. I have a few tickets to go see Mariah Carey tonight. Jamie said he'd come along if that were ok. I do have an extra ticket. I was going to ask Brian if he wanted to come out." He said asking for my approval.

"Actually, " I started, "I have a friend who might like to come if that's ok with you?"

"Sure!" he said enthusiastically.

"My secretary has come here to Orlando with me. I don't think she'll have any plans for tonight, and I think she'd enjoy the concert." I said.

"That sounds fine to me. So, how about we meet here at around 7?" he asked.

"Sounds good. I guess we'll see you at 7!" I smiled.

I hung up the phone and started to dial Jennifer's #.

"Hello?" she answered.

"Hey Jen. Question for you…" I started.

"What's that David?" she asked curiously.

"We've got an extra ticket to the Mariah Carey concert tonight. Would you like to join us?" I asked grinning.

"OH MY GOD! Are you kidding me?" she started to freak out, "I'd love to go! How'd you get tickets?!" she started to calm down.

"A friend of mine. Who you'll meet tonight." I grinned again, "We're meeting them at 7. So in about an hour, we should be ready to go."

"Alright. I'll be ready by 6:30. Thank you David!" she got hyper again.

6:30 came around and Jen met me outside. We both went in my car.

We pulled up to Jamie's house at about 6:45. We both got out of the car and walked up to the front door.

I knocked and Jamie answered.

"Cuz!" he practically screamed obviously over dramatizing it.

I laughed and stepped in pulling Jen in with me.

"Where's Kevin?" I asked Jamie.

"He's upstairs getting ready." He grinned, "Who's this fine lady?"

Jamie eyed her up and down. Jennifer was a very good-looking young lady.

"That would be my secretary. Her name is Jennifer. Jennifer, this is my cousin Jamie." I giggled.

"It's a pleasure!" Jamie said as he grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"Oooo! A gentleman." She laughed.

Just then Kevin started to make his way down the stairs. He was using a towel to dry his hair so his face wasn't visible.

As soon as he reached the last step, he removed the towel from his head, looked up and smiled.

Jennifer looked, and then her jaw dropped.

"Jennifer?" I looked at her with a smirk, "What's wrong?"

"Th..that's…Ke..Kevin Richardson from Backstreet Boys!" she managed to spit out with an amazingly large amount of difficulty.

"Yes. That would be me." He smiled.

"OH MY GOD!" she screamed.

The 3 of us winced.

"Relax!" I said laughing.

"Sorry!" she said lowering her voice, "This is just too weird!"
