Date: Sun, 12 Nov 2000 12:42:15 CET From: Sophie V Subject: Fate Will Gather Us Together: Chapter One Author's note: Yes! A new one! For all people who didn't know me before, I'm Sophie, the author of "Together Again" and "Porcelain". I hope you'll like this new one. You know that thing: I don't know any of the BSB and people who work with them, and I don't know their sexuality and blah blah.... Don't read if you aren't older enough to or (and) if you don't like homosexual stories. I know that I like many stories but I can't help it! Anyway, I advise you these ones: "Nick and Brian", by JC Vascardi "Open Arms", by Carter "Because I love you", by Lucas Thompson "The Body Switch with Nick Carter" by Sher "The Project" by Adam "Any Path", all the sequels, and "Interludes" by Dara Lynn "Star Crossed" and "I Need You Tonight" by Jo Beth Hill "It's Gonna Be Me" by Jamie "Say my Name" by Jo Beth Hill and Colleen "BSB and 'NSync" by Mark J "Heaven in yours eyes" by Beck "Question of Faith" by Nathaniel O'Leary "Chances are" by Red "Josh and Just" by AJ Shukla "Just One Call" by Sarah "Tearing Up My Ass" by "Kevin and Dustin" by Nick Moore "Little White Lies" by Elly Iles "Devotion" by Angel1313 "The Real Nick" by Kevin Michael "God Must Have Spent" by AJ B My list will probably be longer next time;) Remember that English isn't my first language! So sorry for the errors that I probably did! Fate Will Gather Us Together Chapter One By Sophie V. (wind_phoenix@hotmail.com) **************************************************************************** He lay on his bed at his house looking at the ceiling. He rolled on his left side and looked at a family picture. His mom, his dad, his 13 years old sister and him. He took it and placed it in his bag. He must left soon. He had got a job as a guitarist in a popular group, the Backstreet Boys, and had to take a plane to New York in one hour. He didn't really know this group but heard from some people who had the luck to meet them that they were very kind. He hoped so. It would be better for him. He always wanted to do some music. As a musician or a singer, he didn't really care. He sang since the age of four, but he never really knew if he wanted to be a singer. "Maybe one day..." he said as he thought at that. This guy is Gene Mark Wiser. He's born on the 28 January 1980, so he's 20 years old. He's 6'1 tall, 165 lbs., with blue eyes and short brown hair. His hairs are blond naturally, but he liked it like brown. Plus there was another reason. Since some times, when he entered in a public place, there were some girls who looked at him as is they just saw a ghost and then one of them screamed: "OH MY GOD! IT'S NICK CARTER!" And then plenty girls started running toward them. As he was a great sportsman, he had no problem to escape but sometimes he was truly afraid. One time, a girl had almost torn his shirt apart and scratched him. Luckily he escaped safe but that was closed. It wasn't easier at school... plenty girls wanted to go out with him because he had a really good looking. No one wanted to know who he really was. Well, except one girl he dated a few months ago. He was sure that she understood him and didn't like him because of his look... except what happen one day. He went at her house in order to go out with her. Her mother was in the garden and told him that she was in her bedroom. He went to this room and as he was ready to enter, he heard her speaking on the phone. "Yes! I'm dating a man who looks like Nick Carter, Jessie!!!" she said happily. She was lying on the bed and looking at the ceiling so she didn't see him. Gene wasn't happy to hear that. "His name his Gene... No and I don't care who he really is... you know he's so cute!!! When you'll meet him, you're gonna be jealous!!!" she continued, while giggling. That was enough for him. When she finished her phone call, he entered in the room and said that it was over before he rushed to his car and went at his home. Since then, he never dated someone. However, he wasn't heartbroken because he never fell in love since his really first one. Not to be able to love someone was hard for him but he didn't care. He still had feelings for his first love, even if it was over since two years... Gene looked in his mirror, a sad look on his face and shook his head. He didn't want to remember that... He ran his right hand in his hair and try to smile a little. Since he dried his hair, he had fewer problems to be mistaken with someone else. He preferred that, not dating anyone to date some girls who liked him for his look was immoral for him. "Nick Carter..." he said, still looking at his face in the mirror of his room. He heard this name so much time. Even her little sister said that he looked like him. A few times ago, he had looked in one of her sister's magazine to see who he was. He found that he was in the group called Backstreet Boys. He had understood why he was chased in time. The BSB are very popular and especially with the teenagers. But it wasn't what shocked him at first. The thing that shocked him the most was Nick's face. It was as if he was looking at himself in a magazine. He was like him. Each Nick's features were his. Still looking at the mirror, he slowly touched his face and sighed. "At least, I finally met him..." He didn't know why but he couldn't help but to be nervous. Maybe because Nick was a celebrity. He never met one before. "Gene!" His mother was calling him. "Coming!" he said as he exited his room and went down the stairs to the living room. "Yeah, mom?" he asked as walked toward him. "I have something to give to you." She said as she opened a velvet box. She took off a golden chair with a nice gold locket. It was in a shape of a star with the Greek symbol of the Water engraved on it. "It's for you. I keep it since you were a baby... but now I know I have to give it to you." She said as she opened the clap and put it around his son's neck. "Mom... it's beautiful..." he said as he held the locket in his hands. He looked at her with a big smile and hugged her. "Thanks... You didn't have to..." "I have to... Open it." she said. Gene looked at her and then back to his locket. He took it in his hands and opened it. He saw in it some small words engraved on the left and some initials on the right. "Fate will..." he read on the left. He then read on the right "N.G.C" "What is it, mom? What that's mean?" he asked confused. "You'll find that, Gene. I'm sure you will." She said. "You have it since I was a baby?" he said. "Yes... and I know that now I have to give it to you." she said. "But... why now?" he asked. "Have faith in your eyes and hearth and you'll find out, Gene." She said. Gene looked at her and nodded. It wasn't the first time that his mother was so mysterious. She was like that when... He shook his head. Didn't want to think about it. "You're alright, honey?" she asked "Yes... Just thinking about the 'other' mystery..." he said, looking at his mother in her eyes. She understood what he meant and said, pointing at the locket: "It's a step to it, Gene." "My locket... a step to it?" he said, confused. His mother smiled and nodded. "I guess I'll must follow you, huh?" he said. "Exactly, son... So... are you ready? We must go to the airport." She said, quickly changing the subject. "Yeah... just a few more thinks and I'm ready." He said as he walked back in his room. "So hurry up, young man!" she said from the living room. Gene closed his room's door and sighed. He didn't know why but he felt that something would happen soon. Something that would change his life forever. "It's probably the job..." he said as he took more clothes and put it in one of his suitcases. He bent down to lock it and saw his pendant hanging down. He looked at and sighed. "Or maybe..." **************************************************************************** That's all! Yes, I know it's short but the second chapter should be there soon!
