Chapter 4

Jeff stretched and wiped the drool from his chin. He blinked a couple of times and rubbed his eyes. Suddenly, he sat up and looked around.

"Kevin?" He called out.

"I'm right here." Kevin called out from the kitchen.

Jeff smiled and stood up to stretch.

After a few moments Jeff became antsy, "Can I at least go pee?"

After a few moments, Jeff walked back into the living room. He sat down on the couch and sighed contently.

Kevin walked in from the kitchen holding a tray in his hand.

Jeff smiled as Kevin placed the tray down on the coffee table, "What's this?"

"Breakfast." Kevin chuckled.

"Where did you find this stuff? I haven't gone grocery shopping yet." Jeff curiously looked over the food on the tray.

Kevin blushed, "I've been up for a little while. I actually took a little trip down to the store this morning."

Jeff was impressed. "So what are we eating?"

"Well.." Kevin could barely contain his excitement, "We have scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon and some fresh strawberries."

Kevin picked up a strawberry and brought it up to Jeff's mouth. "Open up."

"What time is it anyway?" Kevin looked at his watch, "Oh. Wow. I have to get back to the hotel."

"So soon?" Jeff's face dropped.

Kevin nodded slowly showing Jeff that he was just as disappointed, "I promise I'll give you a call later."

"Ok." Jeff sighed.

Kevin leaned over and kissed Jeff on the cheek. He winked at Jen as he left.

The door was barely closed when Jen ran and jumped on the couch, "Sooooooooo. What happened?"

Jeff blushed while sitting down, "Nothing."

"Nothing?" she snickered, "You lie."

Jeff chuckled. "We ate dinner, then we talked and then we fell asleep."

"You fell asleep?" Jen raised an eyebrow, "That's a bit lame isn't it?"

Jeff scowled, "No! It's not lame. I'm not a whore."

Jen laughed, "So what does all this mean?"

"I'm not sure." Jeff replied, "I think we're just going to take things as they come."

Jen nodded.

"He did tell me something about himself though." Jeff raised an eyebrow.

"Oh?" Jen's eyes widened.

"Kevin's one of the Backstreet Boys." he grinned.

"You didn't know?" Jen laughed loudly.

Jeff frowned, "No! I didn't know! Apparently you did, though."

Jen nodded while laughing, "I knew."

"I'm not really sure what's going to happen." Jeff sounded a bit discouraged.

"Why? Because he's a celebrity?" Jen asked curiously.

"Sort of." Jeff sighed, "I mean...he's going to have to leave soon, and who knows when he'll be back. I'm not sure I'm stable enough to deal with something like that."

"You're stable enough. You were on your way to becoming quite independent Jeff, before all this happened. There is no reason you can't be that way again." Jen smiled.

"Yeah.." Jeff smiled back, "I guess you're right. I mean, I moved in here, I put Rick completely behind me. You're right. There's no reason I can't be that way again."

"Now..." Jen grinned, "Go get ready. Let's go shopping!"

Jeff laughed and made his way upstairs to get ready.

Kevin opened the door to his hotel room and was surprised to see a man sitting on the couch waiting for him.

"Look who decided to show up!" the men shouted from across the room.

"Brian, what are you doing here?" Kevin asked sternly.

"Jeff called. I went to see him." Kevin stated.

Brian stood up and angrily walked towards the door, he stopped just before opening it. "I won't accept this Kevin. I won't."

Kevin stared in disbelief as Brian stormed out slamming the door behind him. He took his cell phone out of his pocket and immediately called AJ.

"Hey AJ. How's it going?" Kevin asked into his cell phone.

"Not bad. What's up?" AJ asked.

"What the hell is wrong with Brian?" Kevin raised his voice a little.

"Whoa. I have no idea. What happened?" AJ was surprised.

"I-I don't know AJ." Kevin's voice shook slightly, "I came back this morning to find Brian waiting in my hotel room. He freaked on me about going to see Jeff and the stormed out."

"Hmm. I'm not sure what's going on with him." AJ sounded concerned, "I'll have a chat with him. How is Jeff anyway?"

"He's doing fine. There doesn't seem to be any damage from getting his memory back so quickly." Kevin smiled a little.

"That's great." AJ was genuinely concerned, "When do I get to spend time with him?"

"Soon I think." Kevin smiled then his face turned serious, "But if what happened with Brian this morning is any indication of what I can expect from anyone else, it may never happen."

"You know that the rest of us don't care Kevin." AJ was dead serious, "You know Brian is a man of god. You also know he won't turn his back on you. We'll figure this out. Until then, just stay clear of Brian."

"Alright.." Kevin sighed deeply.

"Hey..." AJ smiled, "Relax. Enjoy getting to know Jeff. Don't worry about anything else. Right now, we have nothing going on, just this little interview."

Kevin smiled, "You're right. Thanks AJ. I love you bro."

Kevin hung up his cell phone and decided to take a shower.
