Date: Fri, 26 Nov 1999 01:08:12 CST From: Jason Randall Subject: JC & Jas Part 18 Disclaimer: I am not assuming anything about the lives of anyone in this story. Many may wish things to be true, but who knows so don't be offended, just enjoy. If you're UNDER 18, stop reading this, and all that other legal stuff. This is my first attempt, and I know this story lacks sexual adventures, give it time, I want them to get to know each other first, okay?--Well I threw in a bit of fun last time, but it was kind of a tease, wasn't it? I promise sometime soon it will be more than just innuendo and foreplay, and perhaps I'll even add details, instead of letting your imaginations decide what happened. . . "You know you could be more supportive?" "Oh, I'm sorry. `Oh this should be easy, I've been around this neighborhood hundreds of times. . .' Wait, there I go again being unsupportive. . ." JC laughed. "I'm glad you find this funny, but I seriously have been here hundreds of times, just not this side of it all. WAIT! There it is! Ha! I knew I'd get us there!" "I had complete faith." JC said, struggling not to laugh again. "Be nice or I won't protect you from Kelly's friends." "I'm well adept to dealing with teenagers, no worries." "Fine, be good or I'll run off with April." "Oh, that's mean." JC said, smiling and squeezing Jason's hand as they pulled into the driveway. "Alright, let's go." JC waited alongside the garage while Jason rang the doorbell. When Kelly's mom answered, Jason waved for JC to come up to the door. "Hi, I'm Jas-" He was cut off by a big hug. "Oh hi! I'm Kelly and April's mom, Rachel. It's great to finally meet you Jason. Oh and who's this? Wait, I know him from somewhere. . ." Jason laughed, immediately seeing where Kelly got all of her enthusiasm from. "This is my friend, Mrs.-" "Oh no you don't, call me Rachel." "Ok, Rachel. This is my friend Josh. He's here cuz he's a mem-" "Oh my, you're one of those guys Kelly has pictures of! I should've known, I'm sorry. It's great to meet you, Josh." "It's nice to meet you, too, Rachel. You can call me JC." "Oh, alright, well come in, come in. Kelly didn't tell me you'd be coming, there's a lot of teenage girls here, are you going to be ok?" JC laughed. "Well, Kelly didn't know I was coming, but I'll be fine, I'm quite used to it." "Ok then, well they're right through there." She pointed to a door which led to the basement. Jason walked towards it and told JC to wait at the top while he went down. As soon as Jason reached the bottom of the steps, Kelly spotted him and ran at him full force. Jason set his present for her down just before she'd reached him, and returned her big hug. "Hey birthday girl, how are you?" "Great! I'm so glad you came! And you didn't have to bring me a present, you did so much for me at the concert, that was present enough! Everybody? Hey everybody! This is Jason!" Jason was suddenly surrounded by teenage girls asking him what it was like to know N'sync personally. Jason just laughed and looked back at Kelly who was beaming with excitement. "Say, Kel? If you don't mind I actually have one more present for you?" "Oh god Jason, I couldn't possibly accept anything more from you!" By this time April had come out from the other side of the basement and smiled, nodding a hello to Jason as he waved. "Oh c'mon Kel, he really wants to give you a present, at least accept it." April said, smiling but keeping a straight face as she pretended to have no clue what the gift was. "Well, ok, but only because April said I should." "Alright, then, here's your gift." The room had gone silent for a moment as everyone was waiting for the surprise. As the stairs started to creak, JC started to sing Happy Birthday and head down. Before he got halfway down Kelly had sunk to the ground, sitting cross legged as her mouth hung open. "Happy Birthday, dear Kelly. . ." JC swooped and gave Kelly a kiss on the cheek and a hug, "Happy Birthday to you." All of the girls in the room were in shock, and Kelly started to cry. "Th-thank you JC, that was beautiful." She stammered, trying to get her composure back. "You're welcome Kelly. Thank you for letting me crash your party." The first girl was starting to come out of shock, and a scream escaped her throat. Soon all of the girls were letting out shrieks and rushing towards JC. Laughing, he took it all in stride and took a pen out of his pocket. After everyone had gotten an autograph and had talked to JC for a while, they realized they weren't looking very mature so a few of the girls walked over to talk to Kelly who was thanking Jason up and down and smiling huge. "God Jason, I'm going to be the talk of the whole school now. Everyone's going to die. I'm going to die. Thank you!" Kelly gave him a hug and Jason returned it. "Not a problem, hun, just trying to be nice." Kelly turned away to talk to the girls who'd come over to her, and Jason could barely hear their words as they walked away. "God Kelly, you have JC Chasez in your BASEMENT!" Laughing, Jason turned and started talking to April, catching up. Soon JC had joined them. Once some of the girls had left, all the others thought they'd better leave his side, too, so he'd gotten up. "Hey Mr. Popularity, how are you?" April asked, smiling as he gave her a hug. "I'm fine, I figured it'd be like this. Most girls around this age are the same way." He started to whisper. "They all freak out at first, but then a few start to think that by backing off they'll look more mature and we'll be interested, so then the others follow that lead. Usually that's when we end the meet and greets after a concert, but because we're going to stay a while now I actually get to approach some of the girls. It should be fun." JC started laughing. "Well don't lead too many of them on, we don't want a cat fight!" Jason said, laughing as well. In Lance's room: "Yeah Mel, I'm excited, too! God, I'll be in Missouri in three days!" "I know! Ok, what time is your flight again?" "We'll come in around 8, it's a relatively short trip." "Cool, I'll be waiting at the airport for you then!" "Actually we're taking a private plane, so as not to attract as much attention. Why don't you just meet us at the hotel?" "Ok, I have the address you gave me the other night, what floor are we on?" "The seventh floor. Oh, and we're sharing a room, sorry. The hotel was booked and management said I didn't give them enough notice." Lance snorted, agitated. "Eew, you mean I have to share a bed with YOU?!" Melanie laughed. "It's alright hun, I seriously don't care if I sleep in a box, I just can't wait to see you again!" "Alright, good, I just didn't want you to be upset, or uncomfortable or anything stupid like that." "Hun, you're my best friend, and you're gay. I have nothing to be uncomfortable about!" "I do suppose." "Well, I hate to do this, but you called at an inopportune time, I have to get going." "Oh I'm sorry sweetie, I'll talk to you later." "Yep, talk to you later hun. Take care!" Lance hung up the phone and walked to the window, peeking through the curtains. It was sunny out, shocking since for the previous 3 days it'd been cloudy and miserable out. Lance smiled, remembering playing in the pool with Justin for most of the previous day. As he turned away from the window, he heard a knock at the door, surprised when he found Chris and Joey on the other side. "Hey guys. what's going on?" "Not much man, wanna head out and play catch with us? We found a football in the gym and it's great to see the sun again." 'Hmm, it'd be kind of fun to hang out with these guys again, we had fun at breakfast the other day. . .why not?' "Sounds good to me, let me change into some more comfortable clothes." "Alright, cool man." Joey said as he and Chris sat on the couch to wait. "Isn't there a park or something somewhere near here? You, JC and Justin went to play basketball there our first day here?" "Oh, yeah that." Lance said from the bathroom, thinking about JC for the first time in days. "Well, I think I saw a park closer than that while Justin and I were exploring the other day. Let's try there first!" Heading out the door Joey and Chris raced eachother to the elevator. Laughing, Lance followed close in pursuit. 'This is going to be fun. . .' In Justin's room: 'God, it was so much fun to mess around in the pool with Lance. . .' Justin sighed, thinking about the same things Lance had been remembering only moments earlier. "Why can't I just tell him?" Justin asked himself quietly as he glanced out the window. He closed his eyes and thought of Lance's sparkling eyes and the way the corners crinkled up when he smiled. 'Because he'll hate me for it. . .but why? I mean really, if he's gay, he wouldn't shun me for being gay, too, it's hypocritical. . .but then again he may not want someone like you coming on to him. . .it might freak him out, and you're just a kid. . .hell he even called you one the other day. . .but he apologized as soon as he saw it upset me. . .and he did almost kiss me the other night. . .I know he was about to kiss me, it couldn't have been my imagination. . .' "Lance, I love you. . .No. . .Lance, we need to talk. I think I love you. . .No. . .Lance, in the past few days I've come to a conclusion. . .No." Justin sighed and flopped down on his bed. 'I need JC.' Justin picked up the phone and dialed JC's cell. JC, still at the party barely heard it over the girls' laughter. "Oop, one second. My phone's ringing, excuse me." JC walked over into a corner. "Hello?" "Hey Josh, it's me." "Hi Curly, what's going on?" "Um, where are you? What's all that noise?" "Oh, remember that girl Kelly? You know, her and her sister sat by Jason at the concert?" "Um, kind of, yeah. Why?" "Well Jason and I are at her birthday party." JC said, laughing. "Oh. Um, well nevermind then. I'll talk to ya later. . ." "J? What's wrong?" "Oh, it's nothing. I just, well, nah it's nothing. Have fun at the party." "Justin? Seriously, it's me, what's going on?" JC got a concerned look on his face, which Jason saw from the other side of the room. Frowning Jason watched as JC walked up the stairs talking into the phone. "Come on J, just tell me." "Oh, I didn't mean to worry you Josh. I just wanted to ask your opinion on something, but it can wait." "Not if it's bothering you it can't. Ask away." "No, it's not that important, I don't need to ask you over the phone, I'll just talk to you later. . .Actually, can I talk to Kelly? I want to wish her a happy birthday?" 'No need to get JC concerned about me when he's having fun, I can just tell him later, then ask his opinion if I should tell Lance.' "Um, ok. If you're sure you'll be alright J?" "Oh yeah, it's not life-altering or anything!" Justin tried to joke around, even though he knew it was indeed life-altering. "Oh, ok Curly, don't scare me like that." JC walked back down the stairs, making small talk with Justin. When he approached Kelly he interrupted the conversation. "Excuse me? Kelly?" "Oh hi JC!" Kelly noticed the phone up to his ear. "Oh no, you and Jason don't have to leave already do you?!!" "No, no, actually, a friend of mine just called to talk for a minute, and they want to say happy birthday, since I told them you were a good friend." "Oh, ok, thanks." Kelly grabbed the phone. "Hello?" "Hi Kelly! Happy Birthday!" Kelly's mouth dropped open. "Um, um, is this who, um, I think it is?" "Well, this is Justin Timberlake, we met the other night, I'm not sure if you remember me? About 6'1", blond hair, blue eyes?" Kelly's mouth dropped even farther open as a silent scream of breath escaped her lips. Regaining her composure in an instant she responded. "Oh, hi Justin. How've you been? Thanks so much for calling." Kelly's friends were dumbfounded. Around the room all the girls had stopped talking though there were a few whispers still audible. "No WAY is Justin Timberlake on the phone with Kelly right NOW?!!" "I've been pretty good. How come no one told me it was your birthday party today, I love parties!" Justin sounded disappointed for being left out, which put Kelly in hysterics, though she struggled to sound normal. "Oh, I'm sorry! I didn't know JC was coming, Jason just brought him with. If I'd known I would've invited you, too!" "Well, I suppose it's best I didn't, I have stuff to do and I would've wanted to stay all day. Speaking of I should go now, take care ok?" "Alright, you take care of yourself, too, Justin. Thanks again for calling." "No problem, can I talk to JC for just one more second?" "Absolutely. Bye for now!" Kelly calmly handed the phone back to JC who was smiling. "Hi Just. Yep. Ok. Talk to you later. Bye." JC looked at the entire crowd who was watching his every move. "Justin says hi everyone, and that he wishes he could've been here." Immediately screams overtook all of the girls and Kelly could be seen holding onto her best friend's arm as she sat on the couch and tried not to think of everything that had happened to her that day. Jason walked up to JC, curious. "Hey, what'd Justin want?" "It was weird, he seemed kind of upset, but when I told him I was here he backed off it, said it wasn't important and he didn't want to bother me. I dunno. I think he and I need to talk, but he doesn't want to do it over the phone." "Well, did he say it was important? If he did, maybe we should stop by the hotel on the way home? So you guys can talk and you can pick up some more clothes." "Thank you. I'd love to do that. I really hate it when he's upset." "I know how it goes." "Hmm." JC looked around, and noticed none of the girls were really watching them. Whispering, he looked at Jason, "I want to kiss you, but I probably shouldn't. Thank you for being so understanding, though. I love you." "I love you, too, now go flirt with some girls so they don't despise me for stealing you all afternoon." He whispered back. At the park: Lance caught the ball as he was running, whipped around and tossed it to Chris. "Smooth moves man, where'd you learn to play ball?" "I've just got natural talent." Lance said, laughing as he conveniently dropped the ball. "Gotta love that irony." Joey said, laughing hard. "So Lance, are ya getting excited?" "For what?" Lance asked, tossing the ball back to Joey. "Oh I dunno. Maybe for going to Missouri and getting to see your girlfriend?" Lance laughed. "For the last time, she's not my girlfriend. But yeah I'm excited. It's going to be fun." "Whatever man, don't give me that!" Chris said, tossing the ball to Joey who joined in on the fun. "Yeah, no man talks on the phone that much to a chick who's just a friend unless he wants to get some from her later." "Maybe he hasn't gotten any yet, Joey? That's why he doesn't call her his girlfriend yet?" Joey and Chris started laughing as Lance blushed and shook his head. "You guys are terrible. And she's not my girlfriend and I don't want to get some from her, so let it go!" He laughed and threw the ball hard at Chris' head. To Be Continued. Send all comments to jas_stories@hotmail.com.
