Date: Thu, 06 Jan 2000 03:02:12 GMT From: Jason Subject: Justin and Jason-12 Justin and Jason-12 This is fictional and not meant to imply anything about anyone in it. If you aren't old enough or offended by this type of reading, what the hell you doin' here? Thanks go out to Ry, Tonny, Tom, and Zachary~Scott (I never meant to piss you off Zack, I apologize). Now to the story. I was being rushed to the hospital in the ambulance with Justin and JC in tow in JC's jeep. Justin was an absolute wreck. He did somehow manage to get a hold of the other guys and Lynn to tell them what happened and they all agreed to meet them at the hospital. I kept slipping and out of conciseness, I kept asking for Justin. Everytime the paramedic gave me the same answer. He would meet them at the hospital. We arrived at the hospital and the doctor and nurses were ready for me and rushed me right into surgery. The last thing I remembered was seeing a nurse's face. Justin and JC waited in the waiting room, and both were scared. Justin wouldn't stop crying and couldn't even compose himself as people walked by staring at him. Then the rest of the guys and Lynn came running into the waiting room. "Mom!" Justin yelled as Lynn came into the room. Justin got up and ran right to her. He cried on her shoulder while she did her best to comfort him. "It's ok Justin, it'll be alright." She said as she stroked his hair and held him in her arms. "Yeah Justin, Jason is to stubborn to leave you," Lance said as he did his best to comfort his friend. "I know, but he looked really bad. His shirt was covered with blood and he was just lying there. He was bleeding form his mouth too." Justin said as he did his best to describe what I looked like without breaking down again. "Justin, why don't you and I get something to drink." Lynn said as she led him to the caf‚ to get some beverages. "Guys, Justin wasn't exaggerating. Jason really looked like shit. I really don't know if he'll pull through." JC said as he tried to explain the situation to them. "Don't even think like that, he'll be just fine. I mean, This is the same Jason that took on five crewmen that first night he showed us how he drove truck. The same Jason that broke down a locked metal door so he could save Justin from that one attacker. He won't die, he can't." Chris said as he almost hit JC for saying that. "I realize that, but shot twice at close range, with a shotgun. That would take out just about anyone." JC said trying to bring reality to the group. "We'll just have to wait and find out." Joey said breaking into the conversation. So they all waited for news. Justin and Lynn came back and sat down, nobody said anything. They all watched the TV or the door to the trauma ward. After about two hours a doctor came out of the room, but it was for another group of people. A family, whose boy was hit by a truck, he died. Then another hour went by and this time another doctor came out. "Are you the people waiting to hear about Mr. Baker?" the doctor asked. They didn't know whom he was talking about, because I never did tell anyone my last name. "Are you the ones that are waiting on Jason?" When they heard my first name, it was like a race. No one could get to the doctor fast enough. Needless to say, Justin made it first. "What? What? Tell me, is he gonna be ok?" Justin asked not sure if he wanted to hear the answer. The doctor took off his glass, like they do when they have bad news. Justin would've hit the floor if Lance hadn't been behind him to catch him. "He is stable for now, but he lost a lot of blood and there was a lot of damage done. He is in a coma. Pray for the best, but expect the worst, I'm sorry" The doctor said as he turned to walk away, but Justin turned him back around. "You mean to tell me that you spent three hours in their and he isn't gonna make it. What the hell kinda doctor are you!" Justin yelled. "If it weren't for me, Jason would have died five minutes after he arrived. It's a miracle he survived the ride here!" the doctor yelled back " He is in the critical ward, if you wish to see him. It's this way." The doctor led them through the doors and into a hallway. He walked halfway down the hallway and turned into another hall. Then he walked down about five doors on the right and turned onto the fifth one. As they entered the room, they saw me lying on the bed, monitor hooked up to me. In the corner, there was a funny looking machine hooked to me to help me breath, then their way one that checked my pulse. They had a cord that was hooked to my nose to give me fresh oxygen. "Oh my god," was all anyone could say. Out of the corner of Justin's eye, he saw the doctor leaving. He went after him. "Excuse me. Um, I'm sorry about blowing up like that. You must be a good doctor if he's still alive." Justin said "it's just that he means a lot to me and I don't know what I would do if he died." "You're forgiven. However, don't be complimenting me on how good of a doctor I am. I doubt that I am good enough for your friend. I hope so, for your sake." The doctor said and he again turned around and left. Justin re-entered the room I was in and looked at me. He couldn't believe what he saw. He never saw his big strong Boyfriend down and out like this. Justin started to cry all over again. Lynn turned toward the window and saw the sun start to rise. "Awe, look." She said as she walked towards the window. They all looked out the window and admired the sunrise. "Mom, do you think Jas will make it," Justin asked his mother as he turned from the sunrise to his mother. "I hope so honey, I hope so." She said as she hugged him. Just then, out of nowhere alarms started to go off. My upper body was arcing off the bed as the machines went haywire and all hell broke lose. Then the doctor and a whole shit load of nurses came in. "Jason!" Justin yelled as he tried to go to my side, but Lynn and JC held him back. He fought to get free, but they were holding him too tight for him to get free. "Let go, Let go!" "There's no pulse. He's fibrillating, the EKG paddles!" the Doctor yelled as he was handed two big paddles. Some jell was squirted on the paddle and he rubbed them together and them pressed them to my exposed chest. Then they went off and my entire body jumped. Nothing, he did it again and then finally a nurse reported a small pulse. The paddles were put away and I was given assistance in breathing and finally after about ten minutes of excitement, I was back to just lying there, motionless. Justin, however, was going ape shit. He wanted to run to my side. The doctor announced that I was back under control and the machines were reset. Then he motioned to let Justin go and Lynn and JC did just that. Before Justin reached me, the doctor stopped him. "Don't touch him, he still in shock. You can look at him and all. Please don't make any contact." The Doctor ordered as he released Justin and left the room to continue his work. Justin and the rest of the Guys and Lynn took seats and watched me for about another half-hour. Then Joey got up. "Where you going'" JC asked. "I'm hungry, anyone want to come with me to the caf‚ to get something to eat?" Joey asked and Chris and Lance stood up "How about you Justin, you want anything?" "No, I'm not hungry." He said as he stayed in his moms arms and looked on, watching for the slightest movement from me." "Justin, honey, you have to eat something," Lynn said as she help him off her. "I'm not hungry," Justin said again with more force. "Well I am, how about you JC?" Lynn asked as she got up. "No, I'm not hungry either," JC said as he looked at Justin. "Fine, we'll be in the caf‚," She said as they all left. "JC, what do you think about Jas?" Justin asked taking his eyes off me and looking at JC. JC took a few minutes to think. "Justin, he was hit pretty bad, I don't know. I hope he lives, but..." He trailed off. "Yeah, I know," Justin said. Justin stood up and walked over to my side. He looked at me lying there. "I wish he would move" Lynn went home, because Jonathan would be waking up soon. Chris and Lance also left to go home and change. Joey stayed a while longer, but eventually left. It was now about eleven. "Justin, come on. Let's go. He have to get changed and we both need a shower." JC said standing up. "No, I won't leave him. He wouldn't leave me and I won't abandon him." Justin said sitting him a chair looking at me, then JC and back to me. "You're not abandoning him, you're going to get changed and shower, then you can come back." JC said trying to persuade his friend. "I said no, that's final!" Justin said as he got up and again walked to my side. Jut then the Doctor walked back in. "How is he?" He asked Justin. "You tell me, you're the Doc." Justin said looking at me. "He is much more stable now, if nothing else happens, he'll be fine. But it is still too early to tell just how much he'll recover, if he does at all." The doctor said. "What do you mean?" Justin asked looking at the doc. "Mr. Timberlake, Jason has suffered serve lose of blood and serve damage to his upper body. Recuperation will be tuff." The Doctor said leaving the room once again. "JC, if you want to leave, go ahead." Justin said looking at him "I understand, you need a shower, I know it's nothing against Jas." "I'll be back later on, ok," JC said as he hugged his close friend "He'll be ok, I know it." This coming from JC meant a lot to Justin. Justin waited all day and into the night. JC came back for awhile, as did everyone else, but there was no change. Day and night Justin stayed, waiting, hoping for some kind of change. For the last week of their vacation Justin stayed at the hospital, waiting for me to wake up. Then the last day, Justin bent down and gave me one single kiss on the forehead because now he had to go. He wanted to stay, but if he wanted to keep his job, he had to go back to work. He turned around and was about to walk out the door. He turned around at the door and stared at me one last time. Then just before he left, he saw me start to stir, them I moved my hand. Justin could've been happier. He ran back next to my side. "Jason, Jason" Justin whispered at me. "Huh," was all I could even attempt to say. Justin ran to the door and yelled that I was awake. The doctor came running and checked me out. Justin quickly called Lynn and the guys to tell them the happy news. By the time the guys got here, I was awake and able to talk. Justin had taken a seat on the edge of the bed next to me. He was holding my hand for all it was worth. "Justin, if I am gonna drive for you anymore, I am gonna need that" I said jokingly. "That's right, I forgot, whose gonna haul our equipment?" Justin asked. "I'm sure Tom has a backup driver," JC said. JC called tom on his cell and told him I was awake and asked about a backup drive. The backup driver quit, and Tom hadn't found a replacement yet. "When do you have to leave?" I asked. "We have to be in Kansas City in three days, tomorrow we work at the studio and then were off. The equipment has to be their tomorrow." Lance said. "Well, you're fucked," I said "Justin. Go home, in our closet is my driving bag.." "You aren't driving, not a chance." Justin stood up and said with force. "I wasn't gonna, but in my bag, on the inside. There is a pocket on the end; in there is a black book. Bring it here." I said and he was off and Lance went with him. "What's in this book?" Chris asked. "Your replacement driver for one, and a guy that I need to talk to as well." I said. "Who are these two people?" Lynn asked. "Old friends of mine." I said as I recalled the last time I saw Zack or Troy. After about a half-hour, Justin and Lance had returned with my book. I turned to the back cover and picked up the phone next to the bed in my room. Ring, Ring, Ring "Yeah What," A voice said on the other end of the phone. "Zack, its Jason." I said, "How soon can you get to Orlando?" "Jason? What the hell are you talking about?" Zack asked. "You don't have a job right now, do ya?" I asked. "Not right now, but I just finished one yesterday, so won't have another one for about a week." Zack answered. "I have a job for ya, but you have to come to Orlando," I said. "When do I have to be there." Zack asked. "Fly to the airport in Orlando on the next flight, I will have someone waiting for you," I said and we said or good-byes and hung up. "Who the hell is Zack?" Justin asked. "He is a guy that learned to drive with me, we learned together. He is almost as good as me." I said picking up the receiver of the phone once again. Ring, Ring "Hello," Said another voice. "Troy, how are ya," I asked. "Who is this?" Troy asked. "You mean to tell me you don't recognize my voice?" I asked. "Jason? Is that you?" Troy asked not believing it was I. "Yep, it's me. I need your help Troy. Can you come to Orlando?" I asked. "Sure, when?" He asked "As soon as possible, catch a plane and I will have someone waiting for you, be sure to tell me what flight your on." I said. "I'll be on the next on out of Buffalo, NY." He said and we hung up the phone. I turned to Justin and looked at him. "Justin, will you hand me that phone book?" I asked and he replied not knowing what was going on. I took the phone book and looked up the airport's phone number. "Hello, can you tell when the next flight from Buffalo NY is due?" I asked. "About three hours Sir," The lady said "How about Harrisburg PA," I asked, "About two hours, Sir." Again the lady answered. "OK, thank you very much." I said and hung up. "JC, have Tom get a man to the airport in two hours to meet my friend Zack, and you yourself go and meet my friend Troy in three hours, please." I said looking at him "I'll explain everything when they are here, ok." That seemed to please everyone. JC called Tom and told him about Zack and having a driver. Tom first hated the idea, but I took the phone and told him just what credentials Zack had and he excepted the idea reluctantly. Then JC left himself to meet Troy. Three hours past and Zack walked in the room. "Zack, good to see you man," I said shaking his hand. "Jas, man what happened?" Zack asked amazed. "Someone broke into my house and tried to kill me" I answered. "I take it this guy is dead then right," Zack said in a serious tone. This confused Justin, when he heard him say that, he expected to see him laugh, but there was not even a grin, he was serious. "Not yet, but Troy is on his way, he'll find him." I said still serious. I looked over at Justin and saw total shock in his face, " Zack, this is Justin, Chris, Lance, Joey, and Justin's mom Lynn." "Nice to meet you all," Zack said shaking their hands, "Jas, what is the job you were talking about?" "It is for them, they will take you to the truck and give you all the details, ok." I said. "How long is the job?" Zack asked. "You will drive their truck until I get better, then you will be backup driver, if that's ok." I said. "Ok," He said then turned and looked at the guys and examine them. He looked over all of them, then he turned back to Justin and looked at me, " Is this the one?" "Yep," I answered. "One what?" Justin asked rather pissed. "Clam down. So you're going out with Jas. Boy have your got your hands full." Zack said looking back me. "How the hell did you know that?" He looked at Zack. "I guessed," He said looking at Justin. Then JC and Troy walked in. "Jas, what the hell, what happened?" Troy asked "Someone tried to kill me," I said. "Oh," Troy said taking out a tablet, "What have you got for me?" "He was arrested before for trying to run me down." I said, " he has a van with the license plate, BAD BOY" "Bad Boy," Troy said with a half grin, "that's original" "You' re telling me," I said as I also laughed, "How long?" "Not too long, couple weeks" Troy said. "Good, how much," I asked. "Well the usual is ten up front, then depending on how long and what is done. It is five a week, you know about the rest." Troy said, " but for you how about and even twenty?" "Thank you, I'll give you ten now and the other ten when I get him," I said. "That'll be just fine with me," Troy said, "Hey Zack. Sorry, didn't see ya there. How ya been." "Fine Troy, you keeping busy," Zack asked as he shook Troy's hand. "Yeah. You know this is the first time the three of us have been together in a long time." Troy said. "Yeah. Well Zack you go with the guys and Troy you do what you do so well," I instructed. Everyone left and I turned on the TV to see what was on. Then Justin came back in and looked at me from the foot of the bed. "Who the hell are you?" He asked.
