It's amazing as far as I am concerned. I started writing pretty much because I was bored and I wanted to see if I could do it. Well you people have proved to me that I can do it! Thank you so much. A few business matters I will take care of right now. Number one, You will get an installment usually every other day. Here are the days I will post a new chapter, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday. I shouldn't miss a day. Now if I do I apologize but I shouldn't. Number two, I will be away for two weeks in mid July (18-27). I will not even be near a computer, I am going to Europe. Therefore expect a really long chapter on the 17th and on the 29th. That's a lot of advance but oh well. Third and final... I love e-mails, you know that so e-mail me spifty214@email.com. Even negative ones. I am including an e-mail I received because I find it quite funny. I have removed names to protect the anal. Hi there! ***** ****** here!. Professional bitch (critic) of the Nifty Archive. Lets get down to it!! Your story has potential. The dream thing was stupid. Espically how you came out it. Stick to a POV, omnicient is best. I don't think you proofread chapter 8. I found about 7 errors. It is a good story but the dream will throw off a lot of people. Spelling is good. Tense is good. POV was acknowledged. Overall you get about an 6. (chapter 8 made you lose points.) You have a plot and you gave the main character some background which is good. IM ME on the MSN messenger if you want. The legal thing was stated once, so you don't need it again. ANd its good someone told you how to put the subject in your emails. Ok that was it. I would like to say a few things about it. Seeing as how I have the medium to embarrass this person. Don't worry, he is the only one I will do this to because he instant messaged me and came off as a total ass hole. Who really has that little of a life that they go through stories and count the errors? About the proofreading, I do proofread, however, I do at 2am so usually I don't do that great of a job. I try to get the major things. If you would like I will wait to the next day to submit and do a better job proofing. I'd think though that I would rather have the story a day earlier. I just guessed about the subject. Now that I am done bitching I will get on with stuff about the story. Sorry it had to be depressing. Remember it's just one chapter. I am writing with a general plot in mind so just chill out. This chapter will also have a melancholy mood. By the end though it will be all good. So stay tuned as we start Lonely Lance....Chapter 10! LEGAL: I make no claims to the sexuality of any member of `N Sync or anyone else. This is completely fictional. If you are under 18 or if it is illegal for you to read this then just go away. This story has homosexual themes and sexual situations in it. Ya know, every time I write this I have to pee. Geesh!! ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Lonely Lance...Chapter 10 - "Are you coming up?" He asked his crying had ceased a little. - "Yes, I am not gonna let him do this alone. But I think I should let you go so I can get a flight booked and get us to the airport. Sorry." - "It is ok. I will see you soon Lance. Thanks for being such a good friend to my son." Steve's dad said as he hung up the phone. Lance hung up the phone. Steve laid in Lance's arms. Lance was crying as well. They sat on the cold kitchen floor crying for more than a half hour. Holding each other, comforting each other, giving each other strength. Maybe they were crying about the same thing. Maybe they weren't. Lance couldn't help thinking how good it felt to hold Steve, and how good it felt to have Steve hold him. (If any of you have ever had a moment were you and your special someone are holding each other, you know how magnificent it feels.) It was nearly 5:30 when Lance broke the embrace. "Steve, we have to get ready. Go up and pack and I will get the flight set up. Ok?" Lance said quietly and calmly. "Lance, you don't have to go. I can do this myself." Steve said in a whisper. "I know I don't have to go. I want to go. So go get packed ok?" Lance said getting up off the floor and helping Steve up. "O-Ok." Was all that Steve could get out. He slowly walked out of the kitchen and into the living room and upstairs. Lance called the airport and was able to book a flight that left at 8. They would be landing in Detroit. Lance also called and got a room booked at a Hotel. He then called JC so he would know what happened. - "Hey Josh." - "Hey Lance, what's up?" - "A lot actually. Steve's mom passed away last night and he has to fly to Michigan tonight. I am going with him." - "Why are you going with him?" JC asked. - "Because he needs someone right now. I have a lot we have to talk about but now definitely isn't the time. ok?" - "Ok. It's cool. Is there anything you need me to do?" - "Yeah. I need you to get management to exchange our tickets so we can fly into L.A. on Wednesday from Detroit. I also need you to get us a Limo at the airport at midnight. We will need it for the time we are there. I am sure it won't be a problem." Lance said - "Nope, I don't think it will be." JC said chuckling. - "Well I am gonna let ya go, I am gonan call a cab to take us to the airport. I will cya Wednesday." - "Cya Wednesday." - "Josh." - "Yeah?" - "Thank you." - "No problem, you better get going though. Give me a call when you guys get settled ok?" JC asked - "Will do. Bye Bye." - "Adios." Lance then called a cab company. they said they would be there at 6:45. It was 6:15. Steve had been gone for forty five minutes. Lance went upstairs, well he ran. He had fear of what he would find upstairs. He ran into Steve's room and found him wrapped in a ball crying in the corner of his room. He had his suitcase sitting in his bed and a few clothes in it. Lance stopped for a second and just stood and looked at Steve. Steve looked up and his blood shot eyes met Lance's. He got up off the floor and walked over to Lance as Lance walked to Steve. Lance reached his arms out and pulled Steve into an embrace. "It's ok Steve. Let it out." Lance said. He was holding back tears. "I can't believe she is gone. I just talked to her a few days ago and she was fine. I never wanted to lose her. I miss her Lance." Steve said crying into Lance's shoulder. "I know you do. This is gonna be hard babe, but I am here for you ok?" Lance said. "Thank you so much. You don't realize how much I need you. I don't want to lose you." Steve said. His tears were starting to subside. "You won't, I don't want to lose you either." Lance said as he kissed Steve on the forehead. They stood there and held each other until Lance noticed Steve's alarm clock. He kissed Steve on the forehead and broke the embrace. "Steve." "Yeah?" Steve said quietly. His tears had stopped flowing. "We need to get you ready to go. The cab is going to be here in ten minutes. Our flight is at eight and we land in Detroit at midnight. I got us reservations at a Marriott in downtown Detroit. I know your parents live in a sub of it but I didn't know the exact city so I just got us a room there ok?" Lance calmly said. "Thank you so much. Can you put the clothes that are on my bed in the suitcase and throw in my cologne and hair gel and deodorant off my dresser. I have to call the office and I have to call Kelli." Steve said "I already have the office taken care of. All you need to do is call Kelli. And yes, I will put your stuff in your suitcase." Lance said. "Ok. I will be back in a minute. Thanks." Steve said as he left the room. He made his way to the kitchen and tried to keep his composure. He dialed Kelli's number. After 4 rings she picked up. - "Hello, Kelli here." - "Hey Kel, it's Steve." - "Duh, I know who you are. So what's up?" - "Uhm, Well, My mom passes away last night. So I am gonna be in Michigan and then we are probly heading right from there to LA. So I probly won't see you until a week or so." Steve said, holding the tears back. - "I am really sorry to hear that. Who is we?" Kelli asked - "Lance and I." Steve said, he liked the way it sounded. - "Ooooooohhhh!" - "Kelli, please don't even start with that. I am not in the mood. I have to go now though, the flight leaves at eight. Cya Laters." Steve said. - "Alright, sorry, cya soon." - "Love ya. Bye Bye." Steve said, not giving Kelli a chance to respond. He hung up the phone and as he walked into the living room Lance was making his way down the stairs with his suitcase. "Well this is everything. I added some more clothes because we are leaving on Wednesday from Detroit to LA. Is there anything else you need?" Lance said trying to stay on top of things. "Yeah, Thanks, I have everything. Uhm, do you have any clothes?" Steve asked. "Yeah, Luckily, I have a black suit and I have a suitcase full of clothes. I always keep it in there in case I need it. I think I have my laptop in it too. Not sure. It's either there or in my Mustang. Oh well though. I don't think we are really gonna need it. And if we will then I will bring it, this is the information age, and all. Do you have a..." Lances rambling was interrupted by Steve. "Lance, you're rambling. Are you ok?" there was a pause. "I can make this trip by myself. You really don't need to go." Steve said. "I want to go. I want to be here for you. Is that ok?" Lance asked. "Yes it is. Thank you." Steve said. Lance didn't respond. They stood in silence for a few moments until a car horn was heard. "Well, It appears our ride is here. Make sure you set your alarm, I am gonna get our stuff in the cab ok?" Lance said. "OK, I'll be out in a second." Steve said looking around the living room and staring at a picture of his mom on the wall. "Ok." Lance said as he opened the door and carried Steve's suitcase outside. Steve stayed inside for a few minutes. Tears were filling his eyes. In forty-eight hours his life had been changed drastically. His mom was dead. He was falling in love. He had a good job. He set the alarm, closed and locked the door and headed for the cab in the street. Lance was already in and had the door open for Steve. Steve looked up, still tears in his eyes. "Thank you mom." Steve whispered peering into the darkening sky. He slowly walked toward the cab. At this very moment, he didn't know if he should be happy or sad. He got in the cab and sat next to Lance. It pulled off down the road. Tears were in both boy's eyes. "Everything is gonna be ok Steve." Lance said as he reached for Steve's hand and held it. Steve complied and held back. TBC... ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, so there ya go. It isn't that long, forgive me please. I tend to write less on weekdays. So my computer is cooperating for once today. I have to share right now. Ok, so my puter is in my bedroom. I live in suburbia USA. So it's warm right now and EVERYONE feels the need to take a walk. So anyway, my room is on the first floor and when you walk down the street and I have my windows open and my shades up you can see in. And well I was singin to `N Sync and I had it really loud and everyone is looking at me. I feel that it is so in appropriate to do that. So anyway beyond that what else is there to share. Oh, gotta thank a couple people...Jilly, I love ya girl. Thanks for those Lance photos too! And PJ, well ya know DAMN GIRL! LOL (inside joke) anyway. Have a Spectacular Day
