Millennium Love Brian Chapter 29

NOTES: For the next few chapters, I'm only going to be posting every other week! Summer is the busiest time at my work and I don't feel I'm doing justice to the story by forcing out a chapter every week!

Once the fall arrives, I should be able to get back to every week!

Hope no one is too disappointed.

I returned to Scott. "Let's go Angel," I said, holding out my hand.

He grasped the outstretched hand and we headed off the stage. As we walked we heard footsteps fall into step behind us. I knew who it was.

"Is there a car we can take back to the hotel, Marcus?" I asked without turning around.

"Yeah, there are a couple out the back," Marcus replied from behind us.

The three of us walked to the back exit and after a quick check by Marcus, climbed into the car. Marcus joined the driver in the front seat. I closed the blackened glass window between the sections.

I turned to Scott. "Now where were we?" I asked as my hands worked under Scott's shirt.

Chapter 29

"Ha! I won again!" Scott shouted, tossing the controller onto the floor and raising his hands in victory. I laughed as Nick glared at Scott and shut down the system.

I set the papers that I'd been looking at, aside and watched the two men. I was so happy to see Nick and Scott getting along so well. The past three days the three of us had just hung out in and around Vienna.

It had been a nice break from the tour and Scott and I had definitely enjoyed the hotel room! We'd also made sure to include Nick as much as possible in our daytime activities. I didn't want him to ever feel like I was ignoring him.

The others were due back in soon from the various locations they had disappeared to. I'd asked Nick to call a three day truce in the prank war while we had the break, so that Scott and I could enjoy ourselves without worrying about things happening. I knew it would just give him time to plot, but it was worth it to be able to relax.

Nick stood up and stretched. "Well, I guess I should go to my room and pack," he said with a sigh.

I laughed. "You mean you haven't started yet?" I asked in horror and looked at my watch. "I don't know Frack, I don't think eight hours is going to be enough time to organize that disaster zone!"

Nick stuck his tongue out at me and left the room. I smothered a snicker. I knew he got tired of us picking on him, but he really was unbelievably messy.

Scott stood up from his spot on the floor and stretched too. I watched his muscles ripple under the t-shirt he was wearing. He walked over and sat down beside me. I moved the papers from beside me, to the coffee table then turned back to Scott. I held out my arms and he leaned against me, matching my embrace. I kissed his ear.

"You do know that you've just made things worse, right?" I asked softly, trying not to laugh.

Scott pulled back to look at me. "Maybe. But don't you think Nicky would be pissed if I faked my abilities and lost to him all the time? He doesn't need to be patronized," he said.

I kissed his delectable lips. "You're right. Sometimes it's hard to see him as an adult, because he's been a kid as long as I've known him," I said honestly. Scott nodded in understanding. It was hard to accept that Nick had grown up and I knew that sometimes our attitude frustrated him. I decided I would try and treat him better.

I stretched out on the couch and Scott followed, laying half on top of me. I loved the feeling of his warmth and weight on me. It made me feel loved and safe. We dozed for a while, something that had become almost a daily ritual. It was a way to have 'us' time, without offending or ostracizing anyone.

We were already packed so we just had to wait for the others. The other buses and crew had gone on to Munich. We would drive through the night and arrive there the next morning.

I'm not sure how long we lay there but suddenly we heard laughing and loud voices as the door to the suite opened and Howie, AJ and Kevin walked in.

AJ looked over at us. "Have you guys even moved in the past three days?" he asked.

I answered. "Why should we?"

AJ just shook his head and carried his load of shopping bags into his room. It was obvious what he'd been doing with his time off. Howie and Kevin crashed onto the other chairs.

"Where's Nick?" Howie asked as he looked around. I laughed.

"He JUST went to start packing!" Scott said. Both Kevin and Howie looked at their watches, then at each other and shook their heads. We were all familiar with Nick's habits.

I had an idea and began to move slightly so Scott sat up allowing me to stand.

"We should go pack too Angel," I said quietly.

Scott frowned. "But Brian..." Finally he looked at me and saw my smirk. He caught on quick and stood up. "I guess you're right Bri, we should go pack," he said quickly as he grabbed my hand and began pulling me towards our room.

Howie and Kevin started to laugh as Scott slammed the door behind us.

"That was a little rude Angel," I laughed as Scott began to unbutton my shirt.

"Hey! You suggested it!" He objected and tossed my shirt onto our packed suitcases. Our eyes met and I lost myself in his incredible green eyes. "Want me to stop?" he asked softly.

I didn't bother to answer. I pulled his face close to mine so our lips could meet.

A few hours later we were on the bus and on our way to Munich. The six of us sat in the lounge while Kevin, AJ and Howie told us about their adventures.

The three had headed out together but went their separate ways for a couple of days before meeting again to return to Vienna. We heard all about the places they went, and all the money AJ spent on clothes he really didn't need! It gave us a good laugh.

Finally everyone tired and began to migrate to the back of the bus and the bunks. Scott and I were the last ones and we both stripped down to our boxers before crawling into the lower bunk. I got in first and moved close to the wall. Scott crawled in and turned on his stomach, laying his arm possessively across my chest. Even though we really hadn't been that active in Vienna we were both exhausted and quickly fell asleep.

As I woke up I could tell that the bus had stopped moving. I figured we were in Munich. Scott had just wakened too, so we cuddled quietly together for a few minutes before getting up. We each grabbed a t-shirt and wandered into the kitchen. The others were already there, sitting around drinking coffee or juice. I flopped down onto a chair while Scott continued to the sink to put the kettle on for tea.

As he walked past me I glanced at his ass and almost laughed allowed. The others all quickly noticed too and a quiet snickering could be heard. Scott plugged the kettle in and turned to look at us, wondering what was going on. Scott looked at me and I almost gave into my laughter. Nick had really done a good job.

I finally walked over to Scott. "Ya know, Angel, I love you and I know you love me," I paused, "But I don't thinks its necessary to tell the world that your ass belongs to me!" I managed to get out before bursting in laughter. My laughter sent the others into giggle fits.

Scott still didn't know what we were talking about so he headed to the back to the bathroom. I watched him go; looking at the bright red letters, "This ass belongs to Brian Littrell!" printed on his boxers. The little picture of me wasn't too bad either.

"Nice job Nick," I said truthfully. How he managed to do that without waking Scott was impressive. The others calmed down and a minute later Scott returned, wearing a new pair of boxers.

He grinned and shrugged. "Well, at least he's not printing lies!" he said, as he poured the boiling water into his cup.

I moved back over and kissed his cheek. "I think I should have a t-shirt made up for you, just to keep any cute guys from getting too close!" I whispered.

Scott turned and kissed my nose. "Like they would stand a chance against you Love," he whispered back.

Scott finished fixing his tea and turned to look at Nick. "Score one for the blond," he said as he raised his mug in salute. Nick grinned happily. I was glad Scott hadn't been upset or offended.

Kevin informed us that we were parked outside the arena. We were going to do sound checks then we would check into the hotel. We had two concerts in Munich, then we would move on to Milan.

I walked back with the guys to throw some comfortable clothes on. We then headed into the arena. The stage was already set up and everything was ready to go.

Scott sat down in the first row of seats while we checked the hand mics and the headsets. A few minutes later, Jeff came over to talk to us.

"Hey guys, I just got word from the label about one of the fan contests," he said as we gathered around him. He looked down at his clipboard. "It's being run by a TV station. Fans write in about their favorite 'boy' and then the best letter about each of you is selected. The fan gets to have dinner with you," Jeff explained. I wiped my face as I listened. I hated the pretenses but knew it was a necessary evil.

"When?" Howie asked.

Jeff glanced at me before answering. "Valentine's Day," he said quietly.

That was when I lost it. I knew that fan interaction was necessary, and often times we enjoyed it. But for Jive to just usurp an important date like Valentine's really pissed me off.

"Who the hell do they think they are?" I yelled, making everyone around me jump. Kevin reached out to touch my arm, but I shook him off. "Do they think they own us? There is no way I'm going to do that. No!" I said forcefully. I was not going to let them steal my first Valentine's Day with Scott.

"Bri?" A voice said softly from beside me. I turned quickly and realized it was Scott. He slowly reached out and ran his fingers down my cheek. It was exactly what I needed. I took a deep breath and closed my eyes for a moment. His touch calmed me and when I opened my eyes again, I was back in control.

Scott's gaze bore into me. "Bri, love, what's wrong?" he asked quietly.

I sighed. "Jeff just told us about a fan contest the label has arranged," I said softly. I reached up to grasp Scott's hand and entwined our fingers. "The fans write in saying who their favorite 'boy' is. Then one fan for each of us is selected and the ten of us, plus hoards of media are supposed to go out for a romantic dinner." I lowered my eyes. I really didn't want to tell him the rest.

There was a moment of silence. "When?" Scott finally asked.

No one said a word and I knew I would have to be the one. I raised my eyes. "When we're in Rome. Valentine's Day," I whispered. I could feel him tense and waited to see his reaction. I knew both of us had been looking forward to the romantic day, in the city of Rome.

"Did they run it by any of you?" Scott asked, mainly looking at Kevin. Kevin raised his eyes.

He sighed. "We all knew that they were going to plan a few fan contests. But they never once mentioned Valentine's Day until now." He looked at Scott intently. "I'm really sorry Scott," he said sincerely. "I should have been on the ball more." He shook his head sadly.

I looked down at the stage, not wanting to see his disappointment or hurt. I waited. Scott spoke again. "Have they set a time for when you have to meet the fans, and how long dinner is?" he asked. I could feel his eyes on me but didn't look up.

Jeff answered. "According to the information I received, those details are for us to decide. Why?"

"Well, you meet the fans at about four local time, in a reception room at the restaurant and allow one hour for mingling and pictures. So you sit down at five for dinner. The restaurant knows ahead of time, so the food arrives quickly. Finish dinner at six thirty, seven at the latest, then a few minutes to say thanks and goodbye. You're all back at the hotel by eight." I listened to Scott's plan and was amazed that he had come up with that so quickly. I felt him move closer to me, and his fingers gently lifted my chin. "Then the rest of the evening is ours," he said intently. I could tell that he was being honest and smiled. He smiled back. We were both disappointed, but we weren't going to let it spoil anything.

The others were all quiet and I turned to look at them. They were smiling. Jeff was scribbling information down in his book. He looked at Scott. "I'll make the arrangements, and let the others at The Firm know so that this can be written in stone," he said.

"Thanks Jeff," Kevin said as Jeff walked down off the stage, pulling his cell phone out as he went. Kevin turned back to look at me. "You okay Bri?" he asked.

I was more than okay. I put my arm around Scott's waist. "See why I keep him around?" I asked the others with a smile.

"Yeah, I guess he's worth all the trouble!" AJ piped up. Everyone smiled in relief.

The sound check was over, so we walked back to the bus for the short drive to the hotel. No one said much in the bus. We reached the hotel and got our room keys. An entire floor was reserved and thanks to Jeff, Scott and I had adjoining rooms. I walked across the floor, tossing my suitcase as I went to the dividing door. I opened it and stood there. I only had to wait for a couple of seconds before Scott opened the door on his side.

I stared at my Angel. "Can I have a hug?" I asked quietly. Scott stepped forward and wrapped his arms around me. I held on tightly. We stood like that for a few minutes before my grip relaxed a little. Scott pulled back so he could see my face. "I'm sorry about that scene at the arena, Angel," I murmured. "I don't want you to think I'm just a spoiled pop star," I added with a slight grin.

Scott smiled and shook his head. "Nope. I'd never think that Love. And I understand why you were upset. I was looking forward to spending all of Valentine's Day with you too. But I promise we'll make due with what time we have, okay?" I nodded.

Scott leaned forward to kiss me. I was willing to stay like that for the rest of the day, but he had other ideas. "Brian, love, how deep of a sleeper is Nick?" he asked as he kissed along my neck. I giggled as his tongue tickled me.

"Usually very deep. Why?" I asked, pulling back. I immediately saw the wicked little grin on Scott's face and knew he had a plan. I smiled. "Ah! Have something planned do you?" I asked.

Scott nodded. "Do you think you can disguise yourself and arrange for Marcus to join us on a little outing to a mall?"

I continued to smile and walked over to the phone. I called the front desk and asked for Marcus' room. I dialed his number.

"Hey Marc, its Brian," I said as Marcus picked up the phone. "Could you arrange for a car for a few hours? Scott and I have some 'shopping' to do..."

"Dare I ask what kind of shopping?" Marcus asked with a slight laugh.

"It's probably better if you don't know. I'm sure you don't want to get involved in our wicked games," I said smiling at Scott while I talked.

"Okay, I won't ask. I'll call the front desk and see what I can do. I'll get back to you in a few minutes."

"Sounds good Marcus, thanks." I hung up the phone and looked at Scott. "Marcus said he'd arrange for the car and get back to us in a few minutes."

Scott walked over to where I was and sat down, pulling me onto his lap. "So what shall we do for the next few minutes," he asked seductively as he ran his fingers down my spine, sending shivers through me. I turned to Scott and grasped his face, lowering my lips to kiss him forcefully and passionately.

A few minutes later the phone rang and I moved back slightly to answer it. Scott was in a daze from the kisses and I smirked at him as I talked to Marcus.

The arrangements were made and we were to meet Marcus in the hall in five minutes. I slid off Scott's lap and went to my suitcase, pulling out a hat and reading glasses with plain glass lenses. I put on the standard disguise and turned to look at Scott. "What do you think?"

He contemplated the disguise for a moment then nodded. "Looks good Love. Lets go."

We left the room and found Marcus waiting by the elevators. We went to the lobby then along a couple of other hallways to a back door. A car was waiting and Chris was driving. Marcus got into the front seat allowing Scott and I to sit together in the back. Once we were sitting the car drove away.

Marcus turned to look at us. "Okay, I know you both know this, but I'm supposed to say it anyway. Remember no PDAs anywhere outside of the hotel, bus and secure venues. I know it sucks guys, but that's the way it goes."

I knew the speech and so did Scott. It made me seethe that we had to be lectured like little children. I knew Marcus was only doing his job, but I found it so unfair. Scott and I both knew we had to be careful. I stared out the side window as the car moved.

"Course, no one can see into the car, and despite what you guys may think, I don't have eyes in the back of my head," Marcus muttered.

I smiled to myself and silently thanked Marcus. I looked over at Scott and found him looking at me. We both glanced down at the seat between us and simultaneously our hands moved to the middle and our fingers entwined. It wasn't much, but it was enough.

The four of us walked casually into the mall. Both Marcus and Chris were very good at blending with the public, which helped me feel a little more like a regular person. I followed Scott to the health and beauty section. I had no idea what he was planning, but I knew it would be good.

We reached the nail polish section and Scott stopped to look at the huge selection. "Brian, would you find the brightest colored nail polish you can?" he asked. I grinned at Scott and walked to the counter. This was going to be fun. I looked through the hundreds of brands and colors, trying to find the perfect one. Finally I spotted a small display of wild colors. I glanced over the selection and found two perfect shades, a bright fluorescent orange and a horrid lime green. Even better, the sign said the polish was quick drying.

I turned to find Scott and showed him the colors I'd found. He laughed when he saw them. I grinned and put them into the basket Scott had picked up.

We continued wandering around the cosmetics and Scott picked up some black eyeliner. I wasn't sure what he was going to do with it, but just continued to follow along.

I noticed Marcus off to one side watching us and shaking his head. I grinned and we continued walking. Next stop was the toy department. We walked up and down the aisles until Scott found what he wanted, a bag of small plastic spiders. Scott grabbed a small bottle of non-toxic glue as well. I was starting to put it all together and began to giggle as I thought about Nick's reaction. We walked to the checkout and made it through without me being recognized. We met up with Marcus and Chris at the exit.

Once we were back in the car, Marcus turned to us. "Please tell me when you're going to do this! I really want to be around to see it," he said with a laugh. Chris started laughing too.

"Please tell me you aren't going to start on anyone else?" Chris asked.

Scott just grinned. "Um, sorry! No promises!" he said and sat back. My hand found Scott's again and we rode in a comfortable silence back to the hotel.

The concert went perfectly and we arrived back at the hotel without any major delays by the fans. Scott and I went to our rooms, supposedly to sleep. Once the door was closed, I ran over and grabbed Scott into a hug.

"Guess what I have, Angel!" I asked excitedly.

Scott grinned. "What?" I reached into my pocket and pulled out a key-card. "So?" Scott asked. I handed it to him. The room number was for a room down the hall, Nick's room.

Scott laughed. "How did you manage it?" he asked.

I shook my head. "That's a secret Love. But it should make things easier," I said. I promised Marcus I wouldn't tell a soul and I also had to make sure I slipped it under his door first thing in the morning.

We had made final preparations in the afternoon, and decided to go to bed for a few hours. Scott set the alarm clock for three AM.

We crashed onto my bed and quickly fell asleep. Too soon the alarm was buzzing and I was trying to wake up.

Scott shut off the noise and turned to me. "You sure you want to help with this?" he asked as we pulled on some dark clothes.

I grinned and nodded. "Oh yeah! I owe Nick for so many jokes he's pulled on me over the years. This should be good. You going to get him up in the morning to take a picture?" I asked.

Scott nodded. "Yup. I'll knock on the door and take my digital camera with me. You ready?"

I walked to the door. Silently we crept out of the room and into the hall. We could see one of the security guys at the end of the hall. He saw us and recognized me. He grinned and turned his back, so he could honestly claim he saw nothing. The security staff was used to midnight escapades.

Silently we walked down to Nick's room. I swiped the card and the door clicked softly. I pushed it open and we slipped inside. There was enough light coming from outside that we could see easily around the room.

I had the nail polish and gently lifted the blankets from Nick so I could put the ghastly orange and green on his fingernails and toenails. Scott proceeded with his part, and quickly drew lines all over Nick's upper body. Once or twice, the eyeliner must have tickled a little and he moved, but he never woke. Once that was done, the nail polish coated plastic spiders were pulled out of pockets and with a dab of glue on each one, placed at the end of each little spider web.

By the time we were done, Nick's body was covered with glow in the dark spiders and fingernails. Scott had to cover his mouth so he didn't burst into laughter. I pulled him quickly to the door and we slipped out.

We ran down the hall to our rooms and once inside, began to laugh hysterically. If we could get Nick in the morning before he saw himself, it would be perfect! I glanced at the clock. We had been in Nick's room for an hour. Scott re-set the alarm for eight, knowing that Nick normally wouldn't get up before ten.

Scott and I returned to bed and snuggled close before drifting back to sleep.

To be continued...
