Hey Nifty Readers.  I have been an avid reader of Nifty for the past 3 years and I simply love the fiction.  Especially, the Boy Band stuff.  This is my first attempt at writing a Boy Band story, so bare with me.

Oh, before I forget I would like to give a shout out to some people who I think write awesome stories:

Elly Iles - Little White Lies

Dara Lynn - Any Path

Daisy - Best Man & Super Man Can't Fly

Garrett Sparks - Next Window Please

There are bunch of other ones that I will list in later chapters.

DISCLAIMER:
This is a piece of fiction.  None of the non-celebrity characters are real. I am not implying any thing about the sexual orientation of any of the members of NSYNC.  In addition, I am not affiliated with the band or Jive Records.  Of course if I was, I wouldn't be writing any of this.

Also, if you are under 18 and/or not open to Male-Male relationships, please
do not continue.  Thank you

I NEVER KNEW A LOVE LIKE THIS BEFORE, Part II
By Joseph Wallace

LAST TIME
"Ok Joey.  Are we ready to go to the club?  I am ready to get my dance on!"

"Sure.  Just give me a second."

"Hey Joey, why don't you just bring Phil with us?  That is if he wants to hang out with us?"  JC said

"Do you want to go with us?"  Joe Asked

"Sure.  Do you guys mind?  I know it is probably a little unorthodox for
you to pic up strangers and hang out with them."

"We don't mind!!!"  They said in unison.

NOW

Mental Note: "Remember to take pictures with the guys so that people  believe you when you tell them this story."

"Here I am hanging out with NSYNC.  Life is great."  I thought as I smiled to myself.

We were riding down the West Side Highway in a huge Lincoln Navigator Limo.  In fact, there was enough space in the car for Joey and I to have our own little intimate corner.  Joey and the rest of the guys were still on a high from there performance and we were getting banged off of champagne.  I was trying my best to remain reserved and quiet, but they were really good at keeping me involved in the conversation.  Joey was especially nice and engaging.

"Phil, I hope you don't think less of us because we are getting drunk
and being obnoxious."  Chris said

"No.  I think you guys are awesome.  You are certainly a lot more fun then some of the other entertainers that I've worked with."

"You work in the industry?"  Lance asked suspiciously.

I hesitated a little because I didn't want them to think I was hanging out with them for business reasons.

"Ye...Yeah.  A couple of friends and I started our own PR company.  We all started doing internships and things of that sort while in college and then after working as PR people for a couple of years, we decided to give this a shot.  I am happy to say that it has been going really well.  I also do some free lance writing for some magazines."

"Wow that is cool and you look so young."  Justin blurted out.

"Well how old do you think I am."  I said seductively while leaning forward.

"Well...I mean, you have to be at least 30 to have your own company, but you look like you are about 23."  Justin stated nervously

"Actually I just turned 23.  I've been out of school for almost 2 years.  DIIVA is only a year old."  I said

"Oh."  Justin said.

Everyone went back to their usual banter and antics.  I adverted my attention to Joey.  He looked like he had something on his mind.

"Joey is every thing ok."  I asked.

"Yeah I'm fine.  It's just..."

"It's just what?"

"I know this may seem like a silly question, but are you gay?"

"No.  What gave you that idea?"  I said in a serious tone.

Joey's eyes immediately dropped to the floor and he begin to mumble.

"W...When I saw you staring at me in the audience and enjoying our performance, I guess I got excited and hoped I could meet you because it isn't very often that I get to meet other gay...I mean.  I am sorry that I assumed.  If you don't want to hang out with us tonight.  I understand.

"Joey.  I said lifting his chin so that I could look into those eyes.

"Yeah?"

"I'm just kidding.  Of course I am gay and I am so happy to be here right now.  I'm really honored."

Joey smiled and grabbed me into a big bear hug.

I pushed Joey back lightly and looked into his smiling face.

"I hope you are gay becaus if your not, then I guess I just have to settle for a drinking buddy."

"Oh.  I see we have have another joker over here guys."  Joey yelled.

"Good!  We can make Joey's life hell!"  Chris said

"To answer your question, Yes.  I am happily gay.  You know Phil.  I was nervous for a minute.  I thought you were serious about not being gay.  I was going to have to find a way to convert you!"

"Really?  How were you planning on converting me?"

I was caught off guard when Joey grabbed my hand and moved closer to me.
He moved in closer and was going to kiss me.  I cold feel his warm breathe against my lips.  I tingled with anticipation and hopped it would be as good as I imagined.

"Hey you to love-birds, we are here!"  Lance barked.

"Damn"  I mumbled

"Damn is right."  Joey agreed

We were quickly scuffled into the club so that we could avoid the paparazzi and the crazed fans.  When we got inside, there were already tons of people.  I spotted Britney who came running over to give Justin a big hug.  I think she was just as tipsy as we were.  I also spotted Jennifer Lopez over in the corner.  'Where was Puffy' I thought.

I followed Joey and the other NSYNC members to a table off in the corner.  I guess it was sort of like the VIP area.  I had to take off my leather jacket because it was getting very hot.

"Whew!!!"  the group yelled.

"Damn Phil.  You're body is hot!"  JC Howled.

All of his band mates turned around and gave him a questioning stare.

"Well.  I guess it is hot for a guy."  JC said nervously.

"Thanks JC."  I smiled with a wink

Along with my butterscotch leather pants, I was wearing a rust colored shirt.  It was long sleeved and it came a little above my belly button.  The shirt was see through, so you could basically see everything, including my left nipple piercing.  I try to work out as often as I can, so my abs and upper body were nice.  I was glad to be the center of all this attention.  Although, it was making me a little shy.
Joey  grabbed me around the waste and said, "This is my piece tonight.  Get your own!"
I couldn't help but to laugh.

"Phil.  I don't know what it is about you, but I'm glad that you are here.  You seem like a very warm and genuine person and I don't get much of that on the road.  Thank you."

"Joey.  This all seems rather sudden and unreal, but I am having a great time.  I thought that this was going to be a regular night and the next thing you know, I am chillin' at a VMA after party with the object of my...I mean with you."

Joey laughed at my slip and squeezed my waste from behind.

"I'm glad you're having a good time.  Can I get you a drink?"  Joey asked

"Yeah, I think I would like some more champagne.  I don't want to mix to many things tonight."

"Will do!"

Joey walked over to the bar to order drinks for me and his fellow band members.  I went to sit down and chit chat with Lance since he was siting alone.  Everyone seemed pretty into the scene; however, Lance seemed a little distant and he kept staring at me.

"Hey Lance.  What is going on?"  I said while shaking his knee.

"Nothing.  I was just wondering what your intentions are towards Joey."  He said projecting all of the ice that his clear green eyes could emit.

"Excuse me?"  I said with a sudden attitude.

"Phil.  I am not trying to be rude, but I care a lot for the guys in the group.  Sometimes they don't see clearly, but that is my job.  I want to know what you want from Joey, or from the group."

I could tell that it wasn't easy for Lance to approach me.  I imagined that they are harassed by a variety of people, but I couldn't help but be a little angry.

"Look James ( he winced when I used his real name) I don't want any thing from Joey.  I would be lying if I said that I wasn't attracted to him because of the way he looks or because of who he is.  He is an international popstar for heaven sake; however, I am not some star struck teeny bopper who hasn't had their piece of pie.  Otherwise, I could have been attached set my sights on anyone of you.  I like Joey.  We are just hanging out with no expectations.  Nothing more, or nothing less.  Ok?"

James looked at me with pleasant surprise.  He just sat and shuck his head and smiled.  Just as I was about to get up, Joey was returning to the table with the other guys and Britney.

"Hey.  Where are you going?"

"No where.  I just need to go to the bathroom.  I will be right back."  I said with a strained smile.

As I walked to the bath room I saw a multitude of stars and familiar faces.  The crowd was out of control.  I walked by a group of people that consisted of Fred Durst from Limp Bizkit and some other folks.  I felt a hand palm my ass and when I turned around The Durst smiled and licked his lips.  I gave him a dismissive smile and pumped into the bath room.  "If I wasn't so upset, I probably would have entertained him" I mumbled. "Who in the hell does Lance think he is?"  I thought.

I walked into one of the stalls and tried to block out all of the noise, but it was impossible.  I just sat on the toilet for a moment thinking about what Lance said.  'Hell, I should be the one with my guard up.  Joey didn't really have time for me because he has is work' I thought.   After I collected myself a bit, I decided to go back out there and make the best of a bad situation.  Hey, I didn't have to beg any MTV reps for backstage passes or tickets to this party, so I couldn't let a little exchange of words ruin my whole evening.

I headed over to where Joey and the others were sitting.  Bye now, I was some what calm.  They were playing Aliayahs "Try Again."  I loved her choreography and practiced a lot from watching videos, so I threw myself into the crowd and let them have it.  I was totally having the time of my life.  I was lost in the moves and I didn't notice anything that was going on around me.  All of a sudden I opened my eyes and focused and noticed that there was a crowd cheering me on.  I grew terribly embarrassed and begin to walk over to the guys.  Everyone clapped and I gave a gracious bow.

"Whew, I need a drink"  I said while plopping in the seat next to Joey.

"Wow Phil.  I didn't know you could dance like that."  Lance said

"There is a lot that you don't know about me."  I sneered while rolling my eyes.

Everyone noticed that I was someone what irritated with Lance.  The silence was deafening.

"Here Phil.  Here is glass of champagne."  JC said while handing me the glass.

"Thanks a lot JC.  I appreciate it."

Joey scooted over near me and pulled my chair around so that I was facing him.  Boy was this man strong.

"Phil."  He whispered.

"Yes."

"Nothing.  I just like saying your name."

"I bet you say that to all of the guys.  I am sure you see a lot of them while on the road." I said somewhat defensively.

"No.  Actually, It gets pretty lonely.  It is hard to start anything with anyone when you are not really around that much."  He said sadly

"Well Joey, what do you want from me!"  I said little harshly.

"I want to get to know you better.  Why are you so edge?"

"I don't know.  I just don't want there to be any false expectations on my part.  You see, I don't want you to ever be under the impression that I want anything from you, because I don't even really know you."  I said a matter-a-factly.

Joey looked away with a sad look on his face.  I know what I was saying was a bit blunt, but it was true.  I was trying to be in good spirits, but after what Lance said to me, I was bothered and I didn't want some pop star to think I was some needy teenager.

"Ok. Fine."   Joey said as he got up and walked away

"Damn!." I mumbled

I got up to follow Joey.  He had found his way over to a window in the corner and was staring into the night's sky.  When I reached him, it seemed like he was somewhat teary.  He couldn't have been that upset about what I said. Could he?

"Joey."  I said as I rested my hand on his shoulder.

He shrugged my hand off and turned his back to me.

"You know.  Every time I open myself up to someone, I always get rejected.  I am tired of this shit!  You know Phil.  I think it would be best if you just hung out with out me tonight.  I'm going back to the hotel."  Joey said while walking off.

I ran after him and jumped in his walk way.  I grabbed his hand and pulled him over to a very secluded corner.  I felt like I was going to burst into tears.

"Joey.  Please.  I..I like you.  Really I do.  But I don't want it to be because you are a star.  I mean, I don't want you to think that I like you because you are Joey from NSYNC.  I want you to know I like you because you are Joey Fatone, originally from Brooklyn.  I want to get to know you, but I am scared."

"Scared of what.  I did nothing but be nice to you this evening.  What could you possibly be scared of."  Joey yelled.

"I am scared of falling for someone who is out of my reach.  I am scared of wanting and desiring some one who is unavailable.  I am scared of falling for you and having you just for one night and never seeing you again."

I couldn't hold it in anymore.  All of the times I was hurt by past lovers just came pouring out of me.  I backed up against the wall and slide down, resting my head on my knees."  Joey kneeled down next to me and caressed my shoulders.

"You know Phil.  We are to basket cases.  Either we had to much to drink or we have really got some issues with relationships."

"How about both."  I laughed while wiping my eyes.

Joey lifted my face with his fingers and pressed his lips against mine.  At first it was a soft lingering kiss.  Then, I felt his tongue trying to invade my mouth.  I yielded to the muscle, letting him taste me.
I moaned into his kiss and pulled him into me.  Although people were only a couple of feet away, no one could see us backed up against the wall.  The kiss was so sweet and  filled with so much passion.

"Whew.  I like that."  Joey sighed.

"Yeah me too."

"So Phil, can I get to know you better?  Actually, how can I get to know you better?"  He asked

"How about we go with your original plan."

"What was that?"

"Lets go back to your hotel room."

This seems like a good place to leave off.  Please feel free to email me!  I love feed back (pammonds@rocketmail.com).
