Author's Note: This is Part 1 of Chapter 84. This part of the chapter will contain storyline. The 2nd part of this chapter will essentially consist of the lyrics to the thirteen songs on the joint cd. I had planned on writing a big concert scene and such, but found it hard to continually come up with things to put between sections of lyrics and finally decided to release this chapter in 2 parts, the storyline part and the lyrics part.

Previously

Aaron, Jean-Luc, Nick, and Brian eat breakfast at Lynn's house and then later watch a movie on cable. Eventually, JC and Justin come downstairs after having missed breakfast because they were spending the morning making love. Jean-Luc tells them a little bit about the Château des Rêves and about his family. Aaron and Nick can't imagine what it would be like to have grown up only seeing their parents for an average of two hours a month, but Jean-Luc dealt with that for the first twelve years of his life, when his parents drowned, after their plane crashed into the English Channel.

Two days later, the Backstreet Boys, NSYNC, Aaron, Britney, Christina, 98 Degrees, and 3 Deep meet with Johnny Wright for a meeting at the Orlando headquarters of Jive Records. During this meeting, it is learned that Jeffrey Reynolds, the man who Robert and Roy hired to tamper with the brakes and provided Brian and Justin with the false information which made them think that they were married while both of them were suffering from amnesia. It seems that at some point after his biological father and half-brother helped him escape from prison, he raped his half-brother, before shooting him four times in the chest, and he also shot his father twice in the head.

An unknown man is holding another unknown man prisoner in the soundproofed basement of an abandoned warehouse. It would seem that the captor intends to assume the identity of his captive, although the captive doesn't think anyone who knows him will believe that his captor is really him. The captor is however forcing his captive to tell him everything about him and his life under the threat of not only will he kill him, but also kill his captives entire family, and that he'll kill the women and children first.

Chapter 84, Part 1

Nick Carter sits at the computer in one corner of the master bedroom in Brian's and his Orlando home. He's been checking his email and looking at a few websites about France, in particular the south of France. Ever since Endora Courbet offered the Château des Rêves as a possible location for the weddings, Nick has been thinking a lot about France. From what he's seen on the websites he's visited, he can't help but think that the south of France looks like a very lovely place for a wedding ceremony.

However, Nick has never seen the Château des Rêves or it's grounds, so he can't fully make up his mind if he'd like to be married there. Deciding that he needs to see the place, he logs off the internet, and heads downstairs to the living room. Aaron and Jean-Luc are staying here now, and Endora has come over to spend the weekend with her nephew before flying back to New York for some important meetings.

"Endora?" asks Nick, as he enters the living room, "I was wondering if it would be possible for us to see the Château des Rêves sometime soon. I think Brian and I will need to see the place before we decide if we want to have our wedding there."

"Ok, no problem," replies Endora, "You're welcome to go over anytime you like. Just let me know when you'd like to go."

"Well," replies Nick, as he opens his day planner, which he brought down from upstairs, "We have the tour for the joint album coming up soon, however, Brian, Justin, JC, Aaron, and I have off the second weekend in April. So, if possible, we should really see this place soon and make up our minds, since the wedding is June 8th."

"Ok, that's fine," replies Endora, as she pulls out her cell phone, "I'll get everything setup right now."

Dialing a number, Endora first calls the airlines, and replies, "Hello, this is Endora Courbet, the Marchioness of Charnac. I'd like to book six first-class tickets on a morning flight to Paris, France for the second weekend in April."

After a brief conversation with the airlines, Endora then dials another number, and replies, "Bonjour Lucien, ceci est Endora Courbet. Mon Jean Luc de neveu viendra avec cinq de ses amis le deuxième weekend en avril, donc s'il vous plaît s'assure que tout est prêt pour leur arrivée. Merci."

----

Translation: "Hello Lucien, this is Endora Courbet. My nephew Jean-Luc will be coming over with five of his friends the second weekend in April, so please make sure everything is ready for their arrival. Thank you."

----

Endora closes her cell phone and looks at Nick, as she puts it away, "There you go Nick, my dear. First class tickets on a flight from New York to Paris, at which point you will need to catch a connecting flight to Marseille. I'll have a car waiting for you at the airport to take you the rest of the way to the château. I also called our caretaker, Lucien Laviniere, and asked him to make sure everything is ready for your arrival."

"Thank you Endora," replies Nick, "I look forward to seeing the château."

"And I look forward to showing it to you," replies Jean-Luc, somewhat absent-mindedly, as he's pre-occupied looking at Aaron at the moment.

Nick just grins in Jean-Luc's direction and watches him looking at Aaron for a few minutes, before heading into the kitchen to call JC and Justin to let them know about their plans for April.

"Howie?"

"Yes, AJ?"

"I've been doing a lot of thinking about our relationship," replies AJ, as he lies in bed with Howie, the two of them resting after a night of sex.

"Funny you should say that, AJ," replies Howie, "Because so have I."

"What are your thoughts?"

"You go first, AJ," replies Howie, "You're the one who brought it up."

"Well, ok," replies AJ, "Now, Howie, I want you to know that I really do love you, but, I'm not really sure that I'm in love with you. I'm beginning to think that any feelings that I was in love with you were just a combination of lust and loneliness. I hope I haven't hurt your feelings by saying that because the last thing I want to do is hurt you."

"No, AJ, you haven't hurt my feelings," replies Howie, "To be perfectly honest, I've been thinking the same thing. Like you said, I really do love you, but I think it's more a friendly or brotherly love then it is a romantic love. I think with both of us being the only members of the group not dating anyone we were both just so lonely and desperate for companionship that we fell in lust with one another."

"Yeah, you're probably right, Howie," replies AJ, "I know at first we didn't have sex. At the time we both said that it was because if this relationship were to survive it would need to be based on love and not sex, but I think we were just saying that to ourselves to placate any sense that there really wasn't a chance for us as a couple. Um, Howie, don't take this the wrong way, but I sorta had to think about someone else to get a hard-on in order to have sex with you."

"Oh, AJ, that's ok, I don't mind. Truth be told, so did I."

"Really, who?"

"Christina," replies Howie.

"Hmm, I was thinking of Britney," replies AJ, "So, I guess we know what this means. We're both probably straight, despite the fact that we've been having sex with one another. While doing so we've both been thinking about girls, so we've just been using each other to satisfy our libido."

"Yeah, you're right, AJ."

"So, I suppose we should break up?"

"Yeah, probably," replies Howie, "Who knows maybe Britney and Christina would be interested in dating us."

"Well, Christina might be interested in dating you Howie," replies AJ, "But last time I checked, Britney and CJ were still a couple."

"Well, I could be wrong here, AJ," replies Howie, "But I think that they aren't going to last. I mean Lance and Eddie tried dating but that didn't work out and Kevin and Josh tried dating but that didn't work out. Of course that's probably because Kevin and Lance got together."

"Yeah, that's true," replies AJ, "Well, once this joint tour is over, I think we'll be parting ways from 3 Deep. They are after all just an opening act."

"Yeah, that's true," replies Howie, "Although I don't know if we'll ever be able to completely part ways from them. I mean, we do have the joint cd with them, so completely parting ways is probably impossible."

"Yeah, that's true," replies AJ, "But, I don't think we'll be seeing them as much at least after the 'Differences Aside' tour is over."

"Well, Bone, I'll keep my fingers crossed for ya."

"Thanks, D."

Nick Lachey sits alone at a secluded table in the corner of an Orlando bar, wallowing in loneliness and self-pity. The urge to drink is actually quite strong right now, but Nick has yet to order anything stronger then a coke. Of course after what happened the last time that Nick had too much to drink, it shouldn't be surprising that he wouldn't want to drink much anymore. While it's true that Nick wasn't drunk enough to not realize what was happening, he didn't prevent Drew from giving him a blowjob nor did he prevent Drew from fucking him. Nick knows that not stopping it was wrong, but in the back of his mind he's always had a bit of a crush on his younger brother, as sick and immoral as some would say that is.

However, in the time since that encounter, Nick has had quite awhile to sort out his feelings, and he no longer desires his brother in that way. Of course it probably helps that Drew is back with Jeff now, and the two of them are happier then ever. Of course it still doesn't erase the fact that Nick is lonely for love and that he would give just about anything to find a nice guy to settle down with. He's yet to admit it to Drew, because Nick doesn't like admitting to Drew that he was right, but Nick really is gay, just as Drew, Zac, and Kaitlin Lachey have thought for quite awhile now.

Nick is brought out of his thoughts when a male voice asks, "Hey, Nick, is that you?"

Nick looks up to find Chris Kirkpatrick standing there, oddly enough dressed in the same exact outfit that Nick is wearing.

"Hey Chris," replies Nick, "Yeah, it's me. Hey, we're twins."

Chris grins as he sits down across from Nick and sets his drink, a coke, on the table, before asking, "So what's up?"

"Oh not much," replies Nick, "Just sitting here feeling sorry for myself."

"Why?"

"Oh just loneliness, I guess," replies Nick, "Everyone around me seems so happy. I mean Drew and Jeff are the happy couple and Justin, well, he isn't dating anyone, but that's because he's asexual... oops, I shouldn't have said that."

"That's ok, my lips are sealed," replies Chris with a smile, "And I know what you mean about being lonely and being surrounded with happy people. Kevin and Lance seem happy and then of course there's Justin and JC who are engaged to be married. I don't know where Joe's head or heart is at though."

"I just want to find someone to settle down with," replies Nick, "I'm so tired of being alone."

"Yeah, same here," replies Chris, as he takes a sip of his drink, unsure of whether or not he should suggest the possibility of Nick and him getting together. Of course part of what is stopping Chris from saying anything is that as far as he knows, Nick is straighter then an arrow.

"Well, you're a nice guy, Chris," replies Nick, "I'm sure you could have your pick of any number of girls."

Deciding to take a chance, Chris decides to tell Nick that he's gay. Not because he thinks he stands a chance with Nick, but because at the very least, Chris assumes that Nick will be supportive, seeing as how he's supportive of his brother and Jeff.

"Well, yeah, I suppose that's true," replies Chris, "Of course I don't want a girl."

"What?"

"Nick, I'm gay."

"Since when?"

"I figured it out over Halloween," replies Chris, "I just haven't told that many people. Lance is the only other person who knows."

"Wow," replies Nick, "I'm honored to be the second person you've told."

"Well," replies Chris, "Can I assume at least that you don't hate me, now that you know?"

"Hate you?" replies Nick, "Of course I don't hate you, Chris. I'm not gonna hate you over a little thing like that. I mean, my brother is gay too, and I've always been supportive of his relationship with Jeff. So, no, Chris, I don't hate you. Anyway, if I hated you, then I'd have to hate myself too."

"What do you mean?"

Deciding to take a risk and show Chris instead of telling him, Nick slips off his shoe and then lifts his foot up and starts to rub Chris' crotch with his foot, while smiling brightly at him for a few moments, before replying, "That tell you anything?"

"You're bi?"

"Actually, I'm gay," replies Nick, as he continues to ever so gently rub Chris' crotch with his foot, which is causing the bulge in Chris' pants to get ever more noticeable.

"Really? Wow," replies Chris, doing his best to avoid moaning, and then replies, "Um, Nick, not that I'm enjoying this, but could you stop that before I cream my pants right here?"

"Oh, sure," replies Nick, as he puts his foot back on the floor and puts it back in his shoe, "Chris, I know this may sound a bit forward, but would you like to, um, go someplace a bit more private?"

"I'd love to," replies Chris, with a smile, as he finishes the last of his drink.

"Great," replies Nick, "Let's go then."

Nick and Chris stand up and head out of the bar, with Chris walking behind Nick, partly to try and hide his hard-on, but also enjoying the view.

To be continued...

Well, there you have it, part one of chapter eighty-four. I apologize for taking so long to update, I've just been very busy as of late. The tenth semi-annual Boy Band Story Awards start next month, so don't forget to nominate. Hint, hint. Also, don't forget to take a look at part two of this chapter, which is all of the song lyrics for the 'Differences Aside' cd. Originally, I'd planned to do a big concert scene, but I've never really been that great at writing concert scenes, and I didn't think I could handle writing a thirteen song concert scene without it being too repetitious.
