Please send your thoughts and comments- leo1980@gay.com and visit my website at http://home.gay.com/leo1980 Nick's Gift Part 3- Sweet Beginnings "So what's the plan for the evening?" Brian asked. It was a perfect time to tell them about James, so I filled them in about him- "My best friend James is coming over for dinner at 5. I thought it would be a good time for him to meet you Nick. He doesn't know exactly who you are, mind you." I told them. "That sounds like fun." Nick said smiling at me. Brian however seemed a bit nervous- "Are you sure it's such a good idea to let others know about you guys so soon?" Brian asked. "Well James and I are like brothers and keeping it from him would be next to impossible." I told him. "Okay, I just don't want Nick's outing coming early." Brian informed me. "No problem, his secret is safe with us...and I can speak for James too. He has never whispered one secret that I've ever shared with him to another human being." That seemed to comfort Brian. Nick and I lay down on the couch and cuddled for a while. Brian was flipping through channels on the TV. I had almost fallen asleep when I heard the phone ring. I looked at my watch and it was nearly 4:30. I excused myself from Nick's warm arms, and went to pick up the phone. "Hello." I said answering the phone. "Hey it's James. I'm on my way; do I need to pick up anything on the way?" He asked. "Yeah, we have an extra unexpected guest, so could you make sure to pick up an extra drink for him? That should do it." "Sure, that's not a problem." James always picked up our drinks when he ate at my place; it was his way of helping. "Okay see you soon dear. Bye." We finished up. "James is on his way guys. I guess it's a double date." I winked at Brian. "I hate blind dates." Brian stated with a frown. And Nick and I laughed at his expression. "Is Brian gay?" I whispered in Nick's ear. He was about to answer, but a knock at the door interrupted us. I walked to the door and let James in. I gave James his usual hug, and as he walked into the living room he caught sight of Brian and Nick. Turning to me he said. "Dear Backstreet Boys have invaded your living room." Which was true. Nick was still on the couch, Brian with the remote in hand setting in the floor. "Yes, should I get an exterminator you think?" I asked. "Well, just as long as AJ isn't living in your closet I guess it's okay." He said and set down in the chair not too far from the couch. "Nick and Brian this is my Friend James." I introduced them. James was looking a little spacey, but then he looked at me and said. "This is the Nick you were talking about!?" He practically screamed. "Yeah, but you have to keep it quite." I told him. "Nice to meet you man." Nick said getting up and offering him a handshake. "It's nice to meet you too." James stated with a huge grin. "What's up?" Brian asked shaking his hand as well. "Not much, yet." James said, standing up and pulling Brian into a small hug. I was proud of him for not doing more. Brian was James' favorite! After the introductions were over, we all headed to the table. James helped me serve, and soon we were all eating and talking at the table. "So what in the world were you doing at our park?" James asked Nick. "Oh it's a really big hang out for gay celebrities. Didn't you know that?" Nick asked laughing. "Whatever... Seriously you just happened to be walking in the park and ran into Paul? And why wasn't I at the park that day?" James joked. "Well, even if you would have been I would have still wound up with Paul." Nick stated. "Why is that?" James asked curious now. "It's his eyes...they drew me in, and I knew he was something special." Nick told us. "He is that for sure." James agreed. "Okay enough of that." I stated feeling embarrassed. "So what about you Brian? Are you going to the gay celeb park anytime soon?" James flirted. "Don't count on it." Brian told him. "That's a shame." James said almost defeated. "He`s gay." Nick whispered in my ear. All I could do was smile, and try to keep from laughing. James had a chance with Brian after all, but I wasn't going to tell him. It was up to Brian to do so. And besides who knows if likes James! After dinner we went back to the living room. Nick and I reclaimed the couch. James set in his chair, and Brian choose to set in front of him this time. We flipped it on a movie channel and watched "Ever After". Nick and I would kiss often during the romantic parts, and to our surprise...Brian was more or less setting between James legs during the movie. He was resting his head on his left leg, and James was playing with Brian's hair! How sweet!!! After the movie went off Nick and I decided it was time for Brian to head off, before it was too late to find a room...if it wasn't already. "Why don't you stay at my house?" James asked. "I don't know..."Brian said looking kind of Nervous. "Don't worry I have an extra bedroom...your welcome to it." James told him. "Okay that sounds good." So it was settled. With that Nick and I said our goodbyes to our best friends. I did not know what would happen between the two of them, but I was glad they got along so well. They would at least be friends. "So what do you want to do now?" Nick asked a little nervous. "Well that's what I was meaning to talk to you about." I said getting nervous too. "I know we did, you know, stuff last time. But I don't think we are ready for a sexual relationship yet. So is it okay if we just cuddle tonight?" I asked. "That's what I wanted too dear!" Nick said his worry fading away. "Really, you mean it?" I asked smiling. "Yeah! I was so worried you'd be disappointed if I said it, but we are on the same level." Nick said kissing me. We were on many more ways that either of us could know...but tonight all we needed was the warmth of our embrace. And the tenderness of our kiss surrounded us. As our souls adjusted to the new feeling, I felt my heart start to attach to another being. It knew the risk and the danger of it all...but still it longed for Nicks every touch. We walked into the bedroom, and shed our clothes save for our underwear and crawled into my bed. I flipped the last light off and we were soon in a warm cuddle that would keep us safe through the night. "Thank you Paul. You make me feel safe." Nick told me. "You're welcome. You make me feel alive." I stated and kissed him. Our kiss was sweet and long, and when it broke we both just held on that much tighter. Soon we were both sound asleep, protected by our hearts emotions and each other's arms. ** The next morning I woke up in Nick's arms! He hadn't left this time, and I was so happy by this that I started crying. I could not hold the tears back. I woke Nick up in my small crying fit. "What's a matter dear?" Nick asked. "I'm just so happy you didn't leave again." I admitted. "Oh baby, I won't leave you again." Nick told me and kissed my lips, and whipped away my tears. "I want to believe that Nick. I really do, but you have to go on tour." I reminded him. "But why can't you go with me?" Nick asked. "Could I?" I asked thrilled by the concept. Could I actually dare to dream of waking up to Nick every morning? "Of course you can. Kevin brought his wife on tour with us...so why couldn't I have my boyfriend along?" Nick said smiling at me. "Well I don't have a job here, so there's nothing really holding me back. If you really want me to go?" I asked on last time. "I don't think I could go back without you." Nick admitted. "Okay, then I'll go with you." I told him. With that we both cried for the longest, and held on to each other. When that was done we just kissed, and held tighter. The kiss lasted a long time...and when it ended we didn't need the words...we knew. After we broke our cuddle, we got up and made breakfast. I cooked some eggs and put the can biscuits in the oven, and Nick fried some weenies. Soon we had our meal at the table, and we set down to eat. "So what do you want to do today?" Nick asked me. "Well if I'm going with you I need to pack what I can take with me." I told Nick. "Yeah, I guess your right...listen I want you to go with me on tour, but let's wait till next weekend. That way I have the week to talk it over with the guys. And you have a week to get ready yourself. After all you need to tell your family, and James." He told me. "Yeah, I hadn't even thought about that. Glad you did!" I said and gave him a kiss. "Someone has to think of these things. Oh lord I hope I'm not the brains of this relationship!" Nick jested. "Very funny, it takes both of us dear. And after all I was smart enough to let you tag along with me to the mall, and let you stay with me. So, there!" I defended. "That's very true. And you were clever enough to want to be my boyfriend. You are aren't you? I mean, my boyfriend?" Nick asked. "Yes, if you want me." I said smiling at him. "Of course." Nick kissed me, and then we went back to our meal. After breakfast we decided to call James and see how Brian and him are getting along. I thought I would talk to James, and Nick to Brian. So I made the call. "Hello." James answered. "Hey dear, how'd it go last night?" I asked. "What do you mean? He slept in the guest bedroom." James stated. "Was that his idea?" I teased. "No, yes...whatever. Anyway, he's a sweet guy, and he did kiss me good night." James told me. "That's great! Are you two going to date?" I asked him. "Doubt it, he's going to be on the road all the time." James reminded me. "Well, Nick and I have come up for a solution for that." I told him. "Do tell!" "I'll tell you later, but first Nick wants to talk to Brian." I told him. "Okay, I'll get him." I put the phone on speakerphone. "Hello." Brian said. "Hey bro!" Nick said. "What's up?" Brian said. "Just wondering how things went with you and James." He said. "Oh he's a good guy. I think he and I will be good friends...maybe more with time." Brian told us. "Cool man, that's great. Well I have some good news too, but I'll save it for the trip home. What time do we need to leave again?" Nick asked. "We got to be at the airport by 8." Brian told him. "Okay, so get a cab and come by here and pick me up on the way." Nick suggested. I would have suggested that I drive, but it was better for me to say my goodbye's here. I could kiss him and stuff here, but not at the airport. It might be a risk, but we decided to go to the movies after Nick hung up with Brian. We wanted to see "Save the Last Dance". The movie wasn't for a couple more hours, so we decided to take a walk in the park, and then go there. Nick hadn't shaved since Friday, and he had his cap on again. He was in the same mood in which I met him. And still sexy as hell! Since he wasn't that obvious, we risked holding hands during our walk in the park. We didn't worry so much, after all the guys weren't supposed to be in town...so no one would be looking for him. And everything turned out fine. We didn't even have to worry about bashers, cause this was a very gay friendly area. We came to our bench, and set down once more. Nick placed his head on my shoulder. And I kissed his forehead. It brought back the memories of him crying...I squeezed his hand tight and soon we were back on the trail. Occasionally we would stop to look at the water, and admire the ducks. I was glad it was warm today! After a couple of laps, and settings...it was time to go to the movie. We strolled along the sidewalk, and were soon back at our mall. The theater was at the other end of the mall, so we ventured into a couple of clothing stores on the way. Nick bought a green friendship bracelet for me, and I bought him a matching one. It was the first token of our relationship...and it made me smile and want to bounce around or something. Soon we were at our destination. I bought the tickets, and Nick bought us something to drink, and a large popcorn for us to share. Soon we were seated in a quite and mostly dark room. Lucky for us no one else was viewing it this early. Nick and I made out till the movie started only stopping occasionally, to make sure we were still alone. And we were alone! It was hard, but we did manage to watch the movie, instead of paying attention to ourselves. It helped that the movie was good! After the movie was over, we decided to head back to my place. It was around 5 when we made it back home. I wasn't looking forward to Nick's departure. I decided to not think about it, and spend the rest of the time in his arms. We headed for my bed, and went to our normal outfits-underwear only. We cuddled and kissed the evening away. I was falling for this boy so quick. And you know what, I think he feels the same way! Isn't life grand? I rolled my tongue against his, and he sucked on my tongue softly. I ran my hand through his golden hair, and wished that this moment would never end. Nick moaned into my mouth. I knew that we wouldn't make it another weekend with just cuddling. But for now it was all we needed! All too soon the horn of the cab was blowing. Nick had already packed his stuff, so he quickly got dressed and walked towards the door. I walked right behind him; I didn't get dressed, just put on a shirt. As we got to the door, he turned and hugged me tightly. I kissed him one more time. "I'll call you tomorrow babe." Nick promised. "Okay, have a safe trip. I'll really miss you." I told him. "I'll miss you too babe!" Nick said almost crying. With one more tight squeeze he was out the door. I walked to the window and waved at Brian, as they both were soon gone. I couldn't wait till next weekend! My new life was about to begin. To be continued I hope you liked it. I know this story is fast paced, but that's what I like about it. LOL! Feel free to let me know what you like, and dislike.
