Hey ya'll,

This is to let everyone know that the BBSA Council will be hosting three Author Q&A Nights the weekend of the BBSA Awards Ceremony.

As most of you probably already know, the BBSA Awards Ceremony is on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 3pm Eastern Daylight Time.

What is an Author Q&A Night you ask? Well, it's your opportunity to meet with you favorite author and ask them any questions you might have about their story. Each night we will schedule one author to come and answer your questions. If this proves to be a popular event, and we're hoping that it will be, we will schedule more Q&A Nights and possibly even have more then one author per night.

Anyway, here's the information:

Kyriel, the co-author of "The One", will be answering questions on Friday, May 10, 2002 at 7pm Eastern Daylight Time.

DLC, the author of "Life is What You Make of It" and "Coming Home Again", will be answering questions on Saturday, May 11, 2002 at 5:30 Eastern Daylight Time. Please note that this Q&A period may start a little later then scheduled, should the BBSA Awards Ceremony run a little longer then planned.

ND, the author of "Nick and Ashley" and "Josh's Heart", will be answering questions on Sunday, May 12, 2002 at 7pm Eastern Daylight Time.

If your favorite author isn't scheduled, email them and tell them that you'd like them to do this. We can always schedule more Q&A Nights in the future.

The Q&A will take place in the #boybands chat room. During the Q&A period the room will be set to +m, meaning that only the ops, the scheduled author, and those voiced will be able to talk. General conversation is moved to #boybands2 during the Q&A, as those of you who have been to a previous BBSA Awards Ceremony already know. If you have a question for the scheduled author, make that known in #boybands2 and have your question ready so that when you're voiced, you can ask it as quickly as possible, so that we can get to as many questions as we can.

You will be allowed to ask one question at a time, and after your question is asked, you will be devoiced, and then the author will answer it. If you have another question, make that known in #boybands2 and we will voice you again, after anyone else who is ahead of you in line to ask a question asks their question. So if there's four people ahead of you, they will get to ask their questions first, and then you can ask yours.

Any questions can be sent to me at JCVascardi@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
