Date: Tue, 28 May 2002 18:20:44 +0000 From: James Subject: Boy Bands - On The Streets - Part 40 I don't know the Backstreet Boys, or N'Sync, nor is this story meant to imply anything about their sexuality, their private lives or their life choices. Please don't take any of this seriously, it is just a story, nothing more. Nothing in this story is real, it is the product of the author's imagination. That's enough disclaimers I think... Now some suggestions, seeing as everyone else seems to be doing it. My favourite stories are: Forever (Kevin) My New Life (Lance) JC's Hitchhiker (JC) Get Another Boyfriend (Kevin) Whiplash (Kevin) Blind Date (Lance) My Surprise Romance (Lance) Josh and Just (Duh!) Lottery Winner (Joey) Jamie's Romance (Justin) Brian and Me (Brian) Kevin and Dustin (Kevin) <- I just read this one, and I can't wait till the next instalment, I can't wait to see what happens! Justin's Dancer (Justin, sort of!) Tales of a Real Dark Knight (Lance) Good Life (Justin) Under Management (Lance) That's it, I know there are more I read that I haven't mentioned, but I can't remember them right now, sorry! Well, here's chapter 40... On The Streets - Part 40 Last Time: It was as if they had never been there, except for the fact that our bellies were full. Kevin and I sat down contentedly in the living room, and stared for a moment at the opposite wall, both of us with our hands on our stomachs. Finally, we turned to one another, and just grinned. We leant over and kissed one another. I don't know about Kevin, but I almost groaned from the amount of food I'd consumed and how it was now stretching my stomach walls. We sat there for an hour or two, before deciding to go to bed. Now, on with the story: On Thursday, I went to pick up the plane ticket from Justin, it was due to leave quite early, I guessed because Justin wanted to see Britney before the concert. Of course, now he wasn't going to see her at all, and I felt sorry for him. I thanked Justin over and over again when I went to get the ticket off him. He said it was nothing, and flashed me one of his toothy grins. Kevin had told me about Justin's smile, and how it had become world famous. While I didn't find Justin particularly attractive, especially not while he was disapproving of something, when he was smiling, you could immediately understand why so many teenage girls found him attractive. It was like his whole face changed, and he instantly became far more handsome. Add to that the fact that his face was obviously changing at the time, he was obviously maturing still, and it gave him a very attractive aura. I knew I shouldn't be thinking like this, especially not about someone who's married to someone I consider a close friend, but I thought what the hell? I'm not planning on sleeping with him! I had kind of an argument with Kevin that afternoon. I had told him in one of our earlier sessions that he should never flirt with me during our workouts, as it was my job to keep the guys fit, and I can't do that if he's coming on to me all the time. Unfortunately he did anyway, and I got angry with him. He stormed out, and sat in the changing rooms for about ten minutes, before coming back out and apologising. I was still angry with him, but I forgave him, and asked him not to do it again. He just nodded, and joined in with the rest of the workout. The rest of Thursday went by uneventfully, and Kevin and I went home and had dinner together. I wasn't looking forward to tomorrow night: Justin had been expecting to spend the night with Britney, so had booked his return for Saturday, and apparently it was too late to change the ticket for a return flight on Friday night. Kevin told me that he probably wouldn't make it back home until Saturday morning anyway, so I should just stay up in Atlanta. I reluctantly agreed, but I realised I might get longer to talk to Britney if she wasn't busy anyway, so it might turn out to my advantage. *** Friday morning, I received a load of info from the management about the interview I was supposed to be doing. It turned out to be for 'Fitness' magazine. They would join me in the gym at 10:00, and it would be a one hour interview. They would want some photos, and then I would be done. I would actually be done for the day, after N'Sync cancelled their session, which was handy. The interviewers turned up about 5 minutes early, and came into the gym. We each sat on a piece of equipment, and they asked if they could look over my workouts, diet sheets, that sort of thing. I handed them the papers I had brought with me. Then the main interviewer, called Tom started asking me basic questions, about who my clients were, what use I made of the facilities here. They were surprised that I didn't use the gym with anyone apart from the 98 degrees guys. I explained how with most of the people I work with, fitness was the main aim. They are dancers really, and they need to be as fit as possible, not necessarily as strong as possible. Tom carried on, and wrapped up the interview portion about 10:45. The other interviewer, whose name I never found out, set up a camera on a tripod, and asked me to sit in various positions on different pieces of equipment. I was sitting on the bench press with my knee pulled up to my chest, then leaning against the squat rack, then lying on my back on a crunch mat, and I basically just moved around the gym. Finally, he just asked me to pick up a dumbbell, and do a few reps. I lifted the heavy weight, and lowered it, then repeated it. "Hold it there!" He shouted. I was starting to strain, but tried not to show it as I grinned at the camera. "Ok, lower it." He said. He pulled out one of the test photos I'd seen them do with me and Kevin on Sunday for the Advocate shoot. "Hey, these are turning out pretty good, would you mind signing something for us?" He asked. "Depends what it is?" I asked back. "It's basically just a release form. You see, we've already got permission from your management to use your photos with the article, but we need your permission if we want to use the photos anymore, and I was just wondering, because these are so good, our editors might agree to put them on the front cover." "Oh. Ok, I guess." I agreed, read the form quickly, and signed. "Thanks. Well, we're all done. Thanks for the interview." "My pleasure. Hope to see you again sometime, bye!" I said, and they left. Kevin had agreed to take a couple of hours out in the middle of the day, to run me home get some stuff packed, and get me to the airport in time for the 1:30 flight. At the airport, Kevin and I had to say goodbye. We were in the VIP lounge. "You know, this is going to be the longest we've been apart since we met?" Kevin asked me. We were just sitting side by side, our hands together. I nodded in agreement. "It's gonna be so strange not having you with me in bed." I said to him. "Yeah, but have fun ok Jared? I don't want that little princess complaining that you were moping around the whole time, you got that?" Kevin said. I grinned at him, and we kissed a bit. There weren't too many people in the lounge with us. Finally just before half past one, the announcement was made for my flight. "Well, I guess that's me." Kevin and I rose to our feet together. We kissed goodbye, I wouldn't get to see him for almost 24 hours, and I hugged him, but then we had to break apart, and I had to board the plane. I walked down the ramp and into the first class section of the plane. I settled in, and looked out the window. As the plane started taxiing away from its starting point, we went past the large windows of the VIP lounge, and I saw Kevin standing there, with his hand on the window. I knew he couldn't see my face, as the sun would be reflecting against the windows of the plane, but I put my hand to the window, hoping he could see that. After a moment, I pulled my hand away, and looked back. He had a grin on his face, and he was waving. I smiled to myself and sat back into the plush seats, and dozed. The flight was surprisingly comfortable. I'm not really a good flyer, but this was a nice flight. We touched down shortly before three, and I walked off the plane, and headed towards luggage pickup. There, standing in the crowd, I saw a girl wearing a bucket hat. Standing in the middle of a crowd, wearing a denim jacket with the collar flipped up, and a white t-shirt was Britney. She had actually come to pick me up. I smiled when I saw her 'disguise'. But, considering the number of people here, she must have felt kinda worried, what if she got mobbed? I picked up my luggage off of the carousel, and walked over to her. "Hey." I said to her, careful not to use her name. "Hi. Let's get out of here." She said, quickly grabbing my arm, and pulling me outside. The limo had been parked some distance away, as if someone saw her getting in right outside the airport, there might have been an instant riot. Since coming to America, I had learnt a thing or two about just how quickly and violently the public could react to celebrities. She pulled me over to the limo, and flung the door open, and jumped inside. I quickly followed her. Once inside, she hugged me, and kissed me on the cheek. "How are you Jared?" "I'm good, thanks Britney. I didn't realise you were coming to pick me up though?" I said to her. "Oh yeah, Kevin phoned up and asked if I could send a cab over to pick you up. I told him I'd do one better, and came myself." I smiled at her. "So, how's everything going for the concert?" "Oh, great, everyone's absolutely ready, I think we've got it perfect." She replied. "Cool." I replied. "So, where are we going now?" I asked her. "Well, I've got sound check in an hour, but you can hang out with the dancers and everyone at the hotel if you want, and then you can come along to the venue at 6, with the rest of them, the concert starts at 7:30." Britney smiled at me. "I'm glad you're here. None of my family could make it, and this is like the first real concert of the tour. It would be weird not having anyone." I smiled back at her. We arrived at the hotel at about 3:30, Britney had to leave about 4:15 to get to the venue on time. We went up to one of the suites her group had and I sat down in the living room. "Where is everyone?" She asked. "Hello!" She shouted out. Suddenly four doors opened, all leading onto the central living room. "Britney!" Came various calls, and then people started filing out. It was quite funny to see, kinda like worker ants going to the queen. They all started sitting around her on the chairs and couches laid out in the living room. "Ok guys, I've got to go in..." she looked at her watch. "Twenty minutes. So, do you think you guys can keep Jared here amused?" She asked them with a smile on her face. "Jared, I'll just introduce you. This is." And she pointed to the first one. "Amanda, Lucy, Catriona, Kathy..." Then she pointed to the first guy. "Brandon, Brendon, Luke and Jake." She smiled as she said the last one. I remembered the conversation from the previous night, and looked over at the last guy she pointed to. So, this was Jake. The guy she pointed to was shorter than me, maybe 5'10", he was quite slim, dancer's build, he was wearing a wifebeater so I could see the cuts in his arms. He had shortish brown hair, and greenish eyes. I smiled at him, as he looked at me. And I could see his chest inflate, as he breathed in suddenly. Then he released it in a sort of sigh. Whoa! This guy had it bad. I smiled at him, and he stood up quickly. "E...Excuse me." He said and ran back to the room he had come from. The others all started laughing. "Don't forget to wash your hands!" Luke shouted out. And everyone started laughing again. The girls had tears running down their faces. "What's so funny?" I asked them. "Well, come on, it's so obvious he has a crush on you." One of the girls answered. "Oh." Britney was laughing still. "He's got it so bad!" She said, still in hysterics. "Hey Brit." I said to her. "You wouldn't want me to tell them about your secret crush would you? The one we talked about on the phone?" I asked her. She knew I was talking about me still. Ever since Justin had told me about that, I had it to my advantage, and I was milking it. "You wouldn't!" She said. "Oooh Britney's got a crush?" One of the girls asked. "Yep." I said smugly, not letting on who it was. "Come on then, tell us!" Another girl said. "No!" Britney said, vaulting over the table, and landing on me, and covering my mouth with her hand. I stuck out my tongue and licked it. "Ewww! Jared! Don't you dare tell them!" She said while rubbing her hand on the side of her jeans. I just grinned. "Oh well, sorry, guess I can't tell you." The girls looked very dejected. "Aww, look at them Britney, can't I just give them a clue?" I asked, with a grin on my face. "No!" She said. Finally, she broke out in a grin. "I'll tell them!" She said, I just shook my head. "I told Justin that I had a crush on Jared when we first met." She said with a grin. Suddenly the girls started giggling, and the guys started laughing. "See? We knew you had a lot in common with Jake!" One of the guys pointed out. She just threw a pillow at him. They stopped laughing, and Jake came out the bedroom. He sat down opposite me. Britney had to leave, but we all sat around talking about different things. About quarter to six, we all had to go down and get into the limo. Jake was a little too, well, I don't know how to say it. He acted like that stereotypical gay person they always have in poor quality soap operas. His wrists were always limp, and his voice was a little bit too high. Oh yeah, and every time I said something, he giggled. It was a strange mix, cos he looked like some 'All-American' jock or something, but had this attitude which didn't really suit it, and to tell you the truth, it was getting a little annoying. Especially as he carried on touching my knee in the limo. "Jake!" One of the girls shouted to him after about 5 minutes in the limo. This is after we'd put up with him for about 45 minutes up in the hotel. He looked over at her. "Drop the act!" She said with a big grin on her face. "Huh?" Jake asked, seriously confused. "Drop the act Jake." Luke said to him. "What act?" He asked. "The one you think you're gonna win Jared with." One of the other guys said. I hadn't worked out yet which one was Brandon and which one was Brendon. They were both similar looking, and I hadn't been looking when Britney pointed them out. Jake looked over at me when he said this. I raised an eyebrow at him, but didn't know what he was talking about. Jake had been sitting cross legged, right next to me, and leaning on me slightly. He moved away and sighed, uncrossed his legs, and sat in a more comfortable position. Then he leant his head over, sighed again, and rubbed his hand across the back of his neck. "Fine. Shit guys, you don't have to be quite so nasty about it." Jake said in a completely different voice. "Huh?" I looked at him with a look of surprise. His voice had suddenly changed, and it was like looking at a completely different person. "What happened?" "Jake has a bit of trouble picking up guys. From what I can tell, he intimidates them a bit." One of the girls, Lucy, I think, said. "So, he puts on this act, of what he thinks gay guys should act like." She continued. "Unfortunately he uses it regardless of whether the guy's attached or not." Another one of the girls carried on. I looked over at Jake in surprise. Then a smile passed across my face. "Oh, so you've been coming on to me all evening, that's what it was? I thought you were sick or something!" I said with a grin. Jake started laughing. He had a deep, throaty laugh, completely unlike anything he'd been doing before, and I laughed along with him, and so did the rest of the dancers. We arrived at the limo about another 10 minutes later. Jake was a lot more personable without his act, and I have to say he was quite good looking too, I'm surprised he wasn't attached. But then again if he puts on that act with every guy he's attracted to, then it's not really that surprising. Britney's concert was cool. I was sat in the sides, like I was at the Backstreet concerts. I know I'm gonna sound really biased, but I think I prefer Backstreet music to Britney music. Hers was a bit more wishy-washy I guess, it sounded, how can I put it? Like a girl had written it. Anyway, she worked through her songs. She was a really good singer, and she could certainly dance about a lot. I just sat in the wings. Sometimes the dancers would come over when they weren't needed on stage, and we would talk for a bit. Jake was a lot more personable now that he dropped that act, and I enjoyed talking to him, he told me how because this was like the second leg of the US tour, and it was the first concert in this leg, they were going out to a club afterwards. He was hoping I could join them. I told him I wasn't sure, but I'd think about it. I didn't want to commit myself. The concert was over shortly after Jake invited me with him, and even with the couple of encores that Britney did, she was soon off the stage. She sort of slumped into my arms as she came into the wings. "Too tired, carry me." She said in a voice like a little girl's. I just smiled down at her, then threw her over my shoulder. "Jared! Put me down!" She started kicking her legs, and bashing her arms into my back, and all the dancers around us were laughing, so were the stage crew. I took her to her changing room, and sort of half dropped, half rolled her onto the couch in there. She just huffed and stared at me, then smiled. She lifted up one boot clad leg. "Please?" She had to be kidding. No, no she wasn't. "Please Jared, my Mom normally helps me, but she isn't here." She pouted, oh playing the guilt card, real mature. I grabbed the heel of the boot she had in my face, and yanked as hard as I could. The boot came off, but unfortunately, so did Britney, off the couch. I couldn't help but laugh as Britney stood up rubbing her ass. The other dancers were coming in, well, the female ones, and they started taking their clothes off. "Hey! Hey, guy in here! Can you at least wait until I'm out!" I shouted out. "Jared, you're gay, it's not like we're worried about you being in here!" Britney said. "Oh right, so cos I'm gay, you think I have no attraction to women?" I asked them. "Well, yeah." One of the girls replied. "Ok then." I pulled a chair up. "I'll just sit here and watch if that's ok with you." They paused for a moment, then it struck them. "Ewww! Perv! Get out of here!" One of the other girls shouted. I was summarily discharged from the girls' changing room, and told to go wait with the guys. I knocked on the door opposite, and was let in by one of either Brandon or Brendon. "What's the matter?" Jake asked. "They threw me out of their changing room." "Oh, what happened, you admit that just because you're gay doesn't mean you can't find woman attractive?" I nodded, and Jake started laughing. "Same thing happened to me at the beginning of the tour. When will they learn that a lot of gay guys still get turned on by women?" I sat down on the couch in here. This changing room was actually neater than the girls' one. I thought guys were supposed to be messy? About half an hour later, they were all changed, and it turned out that they were all going out to the club afterwards. I was going to stay in, sit around back at the hotel, go to sleep. Since I'd been with Kevin, my sleep patterns had changed, and I was sleeping longer and longer. So, I got tired around 10, 10:30 normally. We walked straight into the club, following Britney. I had experienced this 'star' status before with the guys, they just walked straight into clubs, recognised by the bouncers, and just allowed straight in. The club we went to wasn't as loud as I had expected - I could hear the music outside, but it must have had very thin doors or something. In British clubs, the music can be so loud that you can feel your lungs vibrating, and it literally pounds into your head, but this place I could still hear the people next to me talking. I had left my jacket in the limo which was waiting nearby, so I was just wearing a pair of slacks and my tight black top, but I was still pretty hot. We went and got some drinks first, and then went and sat on one of the couches running around the edge of the dance floor. One by one, the dancers joined in to the fray, their arms flailing wildly as they jumped and swayed to the music. About 10 minutes later, only Britney and I left. Eventually, she stood up, and pulled me onto the dance floor, to join in. It was a kind of free-for all, no one was really paying attention who they were dancing with, though I kept an eye on Britney. I was probably being a bit overprotective of her, but I liked her, and I was just looking out for her. An hour of dancing got us all hot and a bit sweaty, and we took a break, and got some more drinks. Perhaps I should explain something now. I can't handle alcohol. I know, you would've though with Irish and Italian blood in me, that I could take my liquor, but no. After a couple of pints of beer my head is swimming, and after a bit more, I can't focus, and all sense of rational thought goes out my head. A latin sounding dance tune came on, and I pulled Britney up onto the dance floor. I did about three years of latin dance when I was at school, and I loved when latin songs became more popular in clubs, as I could mix club dancing and latin dancing, and I thought it looked pretty cool, loads of people I knew really admired the footwork I could do. It was handy that Brit was a good dancer, as she imitated what I was doing, and we looked pretty damn good, even if I do say so myself. We were probably a bit closer than we should have been, but hey how else can you dance the samba? *** Another hour or so later, I noticed it was almost two, and Britney said we should go back to the hotel, and we could carry on with our little party there. We all piled into the limo, and we were throwing stuff around, and drinking from the minibar. We'd picked up balloons from somewhere, and we were batting them around. It was only after I caught one did I realise that it wasn't a balloon, but a blown up condom. I passed it on, and we were playing volleyball from side to side of the limo. Finally, the limo arrived back at the hotel, and we all ran inside, as it had started raining. "Oh my God! Brandon I can't believe you did that!" He had stolen one of the porter's hats from off his head as we ran through the lobby. I finally had the hang of which one was which, even in my drunken state, and I was laughing along with everyone about what he'd done. We got to Britney's floor, and we were all so hyper that we carried on running through to the suite, and we all jumped over the couches, or jumped onto the table in the girls' case. Someone turned on some music loud, and we started dancing on the spot to it. I had never done anything like this. When I was younger, I was so engrossed in my education, and sports, that sort of thing, I went straight to work, and now, although I was 27, I was partying along with the rest of them, and having the time of my life. I was just a bit drunk by now, and someone was passing around some bottles from the minibar, and these weren't those stinky little bottles, there was a 2 litre bottle of vodka going round, and I took a couple of swigs from it before passing it on. It burnt the inside of my mouth quite badly, and I could feel it burning its way down my throat. As I said, I don't drink very much. We were still dancing, and that's when Jake started dancing with me, well, I felt Jake dancing with me. You see he'd come up behind me, and was now grinding his denim-clad crotch against my ass, so what did I do? I turned around and joined him. His jeans were so tight, and I was so hot that I could feel each throb of his cock on my leg, or hip, or against my own cock. That's when it happened. He grabbed the back of my head, and kissed me. And I enjoyed it. "Hey!" Britney suddenly pushed Jake backwards. Unfortunately I was holding onto his waist, so I fell on top of him. "What do you two think you're doing?" That was the last thing I remember doing before waking up the next morning. *** I woke up the next morning, and smacked my lips together, I could taste that vodka, or something I'd drunk the night before on my lips. It still felt like it had scalded my throat, and I couldn't open my eyes because my head hurt so much. Every part of my body ached, and every time I moved my head, it started spinning. I lifted my head off the bed slightly, and opened my eyes, but the light pouring in the window made me shut them again quickly. I could feel Kevin's head resting on my chest, and I smiled to myself. When had Kevin come up here though? I forced my eyes open again, and the sunlight again hurt my over-sensitised nerve endings. I looked down, and there was a shock of blond hair strewn across my chest. I moved it aside and there she was...Britney. What did I do last night? What happened, oh shit. I know I got drunk, but how far did I actually go? I can't remember past Jake coming onto me. I had to get up. I could feel my breathing getting faster, and I didn't want to wake Britney. So, I lifted her head gently, the shock of finding Britney asleep on top of me had sobered me up and got rid of that hangover. I laid her head down onto the pillow, and slid out completely. I heard her murmur as I removed myself from her grip, but she didn't wake up. Finally, I was out of the bed. Then, I pulled on my clothes from last night, and checked my pockets, there was my wallet, the plane ticket, some other stuff. I walked out into the living room area of the suite, and saw how everyone had crashed out here. All the girl dancers, Jake, Brendon and Brandon, who were once again indistinguishable. That did it, that meant Britney and I must have gone into there to be alone. Why? Why the fuck did I do this? Oh God, I can't believe I'd ever do that. Kevin. What would Kevin do? I couldn't tell him this, but then he didn't deserve to be with me, not now, not after I've done this. Kevin was right, sex is nothing to me. I left the suite, and exited the hotel. I caught a cab to the airport, and used the plane ticket to get back to Orlando. I couldn't go back to Kevin, but at least they were slightly more familiar surroundings. What was I gonna do? Where was I gonna go? Oh Kevin. End of Chapter 40 TBC... Ok, now for all those people who sent me emails, I told you something big was gonna happen, so, how's this for big? I can't remember the last story I read where it wasn't the boyband member who cheated, and I actually can't remember any story where they cheated with a girl! So, here's a new one for the archive. I hope everyone's still reading, especially after such a big twist. A lot of people didn't get responses to their emails from the last chapter or the one before, and that's because there were so damn many! I'm sorry I threatened everyone at the end of Chapter 38, I won't do it again, but please don't everyone write at the same time again, it filled my inbox, and I couldn't possibly respond to everyone. I hope everyone enjoyed the chapter.
