I yelled out in anger. "No, don't bother, I'll figure something out!" I continued, seeing how It wasn't really the guys fault. Let me explain. My name is Chase, and I just turned 20 a few weeks ago. I was full of hopes this time. Hoping upon hope that I may have finally got a script wrote that would sell, but alas no. No...huh! Seems to be a word I've been hearing a lot of, lately. At least coming from Producers. They lack depth, or have no meaning, or wouldn't be good for my career. The last one usually makes me laugh. What career? Anyway, I don't always moan like this. I came from my small little town in England hoping that America `the land of dreams' would make mine come true. HA! That dream was blown to hell after my fifteenth script was rejected. So, besides barely been able to make rent in my crummy apartment and my career going nowhere but down I'm having a great time. Did I mention I was sarcastic? I'd made one friend in the city of Boston, Perry. He was a good friend, and worked in a photo shop. We'd laughed over some of the photos that people had brought in and even made a few copies now and again. I'd met Perry the first day I arrived. He bumped into me...apparently an accident, but what I'd later learned was his main `pick-up' technique. Yep, Perry was gay, but what made him so attractive to me was that he was incredibly straight acting. Well built, around 180lbs, 6ft grey-blue eyes and a well-chiselled face. His hair was short, and an incredibly rich brown colour. He knew he was a lady-killer and loved flashing himself off. To be honest, I think the main reason he wanted to hang with me was because I made him look even better. He was...how do I say? The Braun without the brains. Where as I, much to my dismay am the brains without the Braun. What makes me feel worse is that I aren't even that smart! Perry said I was good-looking, but he's just that kinda guy. I have jet-black hair that has loose curls. My eye's I wish were green, I wish were brown, but no they're blue. I am quite pale and only around 5'10 in height. Plus, I never thought I was too thin, but compared to Perry I'm a stick. Around 140lbs but proud to say I have some definition! Anyway, that's enough for the description, and as you've probably guessed if you're the least bit observant that, I am gay too. For some reason though, Perry never attracted me. Maybe because he was too sure of himself. I need someone who's quiet, vulnerable. Someone who is like me but doesn't hide it as well. Not asking for much am I? "What's that Perry?" I asked, my best friends voice cutting into my thoughts. "I said get your cute butt over here and check these pictures out!" He repeated. I had been walking to my friends shop after the daily rejection of my script had been given, and was now stood by the door in the photo shop I almost called home. "Is that who I think it is?" I asked after seeing what had my friend so interested. "YES" Perry replied, grinning like the cat who'd eaten all the cream. "Nick...something from one of those bands?" I said, pretending I didn't know whom it really was, though both Perry and I knew that was a lie. "Oh...something like that." Perry played along. "Maybe not the blond you want but it's the best I could manage today!" He joked. "WHAT OTHER BLOND WOULD I LIKE?" I asked, my voice raised. I didn't know if Perry was falling for my angry voice but by the look on his face it didn't look like he was. Perry pretended to cough whilst he said the name Lance. "I heard that you..." Just then the door opened and we both looked. It was two guys. A blond and a...well let's just say the other guy was no stranger to hair dye and leave it at that. They both had curious looks on their faces at the scene in front of them and I couldn't blame them. How would you react if you came into a shop and saw two guys chest to chest so close your entire bodies were nearly touching. I pulled back at the look, unable to be confident in public like Perry was. "Honey...I mean Chase." Perry corrected himself, knowing only all to well what he was doing to me. "What?!" I scowled. "Nothing, just wanted you to keep close. I may need you soon." Then with that he slapped my butt before turning to the two young men again, who at this point, were struggling to pull their jaws on the floor. "Can I help you two gents?" Both guys were wearing glasses that didn't seem to look right, and had facial hair that looked out of place. They were wearing clothes even I, with the crummy apartment wouldn't wear, and that made me wonder. "Eh yeah..." The blond spoke his voice causing my blood to race. //It's so deep, and sexy.// I thought. Although I didn't know this at the time the blond was thinking the exact same thing. //He's got the hottest accent...why didn't we spend more time in England?// "We want two films developed. We could have got them done by our company, but wanted them done somewhere where we couldn't be lectured about behaving badly." The guy with the dyed hair explained a situation which was really none of our business. "Sure, whatever. Everything developed here is kept completely private." I struggled not to laugh at this point, knowing Perry would have them in his `special collection' if he even thought they looked slightly embarrassing. Lance saw the guy grinning about keeping things private, and although he knew he should be concerned, all he could think was. //Shut up!// About the American shopkeeper and, //Please say something else// To the quiet English guy. "Thanks, that's great!" Joey said, handing the films over to Perry, where their hands remained touching for longer than I thought comfortable. "Come back in about an hour and they'll be all ready!" Perry said, not asking but telling the customer what to do. I thought at first this would hurt his business, but recently discovered that they did exactly what they were told and it sorted out any confusion that may have happened otherwise. Perry was in work mode now, and although he was always fun to be around, he took his work seriously. Knowing when to leave and when to stay I left. "Perry, I'll catcha later, okay?" "Sure Chase. See ya' later." The two guys had already gone when Chase left and Chase was still gone when they returned, a little over an hour later. "Hey guys, you're photos are right here, and very interesting they were as well, `Big Daddy'" Perry laughed. One or two of the photos had shown Joey lay across a table with the words `Big-Daddy' wrote out in cream. Joey blushed at Perrys words, but Lance just laughed, his attention was elsewhere as his eye's looked around for any signs of... `Chase, that's his name.' Perry didn't joke about some embarrassing ones of Lance in a uniform and quickly, yet discreetly handed Lance the photo's without Joey noticing. Along with the negatives. "I just saved you from who knows how many years of teasing. You owe me!" Perry grinned, loving how he'd made the blond smile. "Thanks." Lance whispered, his face beat red. "You have any idea where Chase is?" Lance asked straight out. Rarely was he this forward, but his need to see the cute, English guy from earlier had been growing rapidly over the hour. "Nope. He won't be back for a day or two. Sorry man." Perry replied, not giving out any details that he knew the blond was practically begging for. He had begun to know Chase and knew he liked his privacy respected. Plus, something had happened back in England that he didn't know about. Some kind of relationship went to hell and he was doing his duty as a friend. "Oh okay." Lance said, looking down at the ground like a lost puppy. "Come on man. Give him a break. He's really into your friend. I give you my word that, that guy over there." Joey pointed to Lance who was almost in tears. "Is the sweetest, most trustworthy person you'll ever meet. On Joey's honour!" "Joey's honour?" Perry said, laughing out loud. He knew who the guys were when looking at the photos, but just hadn't said anything. Just because they had money didn't mean they were good guys. "Yup." Joey said. "Send out the search party!" Perry laughed out, whilst writing something down. "Hey, Lansten." Perry shouted, knowing that would get a reaction and he was right. Lance's head shot up in fear, confusion and curiosity. "Take this." Perry handed Lance the paper when he was close enough. "Take it," Perry repeated. "But don't make me regret it!" He warned. On the paper was Chase' full name, address and phone number. Perry wouldn't usually give his best friends address out to any sad face that wandered in, but he figured Lance is way too visible to do anything bad. Though if he did, he would pay. "Oh, and before you go, Joey?" Perry asked, coming around from behind the counter to stand directly in front of Joey. "Yeah?" Perry leaned in so that their faces were touching. "You can come over and be `Big-Daddy' at my house when ever you want. You bring the handcuffs." Perry said before pulling the guy as big as him into a deep, rough kiss before pulling away. Joey had a shocked, but satisfied look on his face that went well with Per's lust filled one. "Lance...you know where Chase lives." Joey said before fiercely grabbing hold of Perry and pulling him into another killer kiss. Lance nodded, his shocked expression remained as he got in a taxi, and headed towards Chase's place. (Chase's place) "I bet they've gone back, collected there photographs and are home having wild monkey sex with there equally sexy girlfriends right now!// Chase yelled at his 3 month old dog, Chester, who merely sank his head onto his paws letting out a gasp of air which sounded almost like a sigh. "Okay, okay. I'll stop going on about it." Chase apologised, handing the chocolate brown Labrador pup a piece of his corned beef sandwich. He sat down on the only thing soft in his entire house, his bed and finished his sandwich as he sulked. "I mean I only wanted to hear a little more of that deep, sexy...wooo going off into dream world again!" Chester had come in at this point and was laid across Chase' legs. "At least I have you, Ches. I know you love me, right?" The dog gave Chase a look like he was sick of hearing it, and Chase thought this dog was way to smart for his own good. There was a knock at the door, which paused his thoughts. His hair was now slightly stuck up from been laid against a pillow and he couldn't seem to stop yawning. The knock came again, evoking an "Alright, I'm coming! Hold your horses!" From Chase. Standing at his door was a thing of beauty. //Oh My God// Chase thought, but his mouth was far ahead of him. "Lance Bass?" "Chase Bradly." Lance responded, with a goofy grin on his face. Chase smiled as well realising how stupid he must have sounded. Then he frowned. //He's Lance Bass, and I'm a poor, English guy who's barely making rent.// "Can I ask what you're doing here?" He knew it sounded rude, which was only, confirmed when he saw the hurt flash into Lance's green orbs. "I just...that is I wanted...oh hell." Deciding to take the `Perry' approach he quickly moved in grabbed Chase' head and pulled him in for a sweet, tender kiss. Chase pulled back rage tearing across his face. "How dare you?! Just who the fuck do you think you are?!" Chase yelled in outrage. "Oh that's right, you're Lance-fucking-Bass. Famous singer who thinks because he's on a square box he has the right to fuck whoever he chooses. Well guess what, hick-boy. I'm not one of your red-necked Yankee's who'll just whore myself out. So take your peroxide hair and puppy eyes, and...and," Chase couldn't believe what he was saying, but worse. He couldn't believe he was actually pulling the guy he had yelled at, and did the exact same thing. Pulling Lance's face to his there lips parting and tongues entwining. "Oh, god!" Chase said, moving away. I am so sorry. First I insult you, then I kiss you." At this moment in time Lance didn't know what to think. He'd felt so good when he felt his lips touch Chase's he thought he would die. Then they were ripped away from him to be replaced by insults he knew he deserved. Then heaven came back to him and he was in bliss once more. Now he was hurting the guy he was quickly falling for. To Be Continued.
