I asked him seriously. "Not right away. They don't need to know yet. Honestly, I don't know if I can tell them. I'm scared they won't love me anymore," Lance said solemnly. "Lance, I don't think there is any way that those guys would stop loving you," I said wrapping my arms around him. "But you have to do it when you're ready. Just remember that I'm here for you when you ARE ready. I'll be right there with you." "Thank you, Cody, I appreciate that," he said with a hug. "I better take off. The show is tomorrow night and we have an early rehearsal. Do you still want to come?" "I would love to be there, but what about Chris and Justin?" "You don't have to worry about Justin. He feels very bad and is going to apologize. Chris can just go get fucked for all I care. The rest of us want you there and that is all that matters." "Well alright then," I said laughing. "What time do you want me there?" "Our rehearsal goes from 7 am to 1 pm. After that we are just going to hang out at the arena `til show time. It's kind of boring but it would make it so much better if you were there, too," he said smiling. "I'll be at the arena at 1:30 then. Am I going to be able to get in?" I ask him as he opened the car door. "I'll make sure security has your name and an all access pass for you," he said climbing in. "I'm sorry tonight started rather bad, but thank you for a wonderful finish." "It's you that deserves the thanks. You have made me happier than I have been in a long long time. Now get home, young man, 7 am comes rather early," I said walking to the car and giving him a kiss goodbye. "Yes sir!" he replied laughing. "I'll see you tomorrow, Cody." "Bye, Lance," I said as he closed the door and drove out of sight. I stood there until I could not see his taillights any more, then I made my way inside. I felt like I was floating on air. I went to bed and dreamed fantastic dreams of a wonderful blonde boy from Mississippi. __________________________________________________________________ That Day By ShyWriterBoy Chapter 7 I woke up about 9 am the next morning feeling more refreshed than I have ever felt. I had a wonderful night's sleep dreaming of Lance. I still could not believe that last night happened, and that I now have a possible future with one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. I made some breakfast, grabbed the morning paper and decided to eat out on my patio so as to enjoy the morning sunshine. I was sitting in utter bliss, again thinking of Lance, reading the current events of Texas, when my phone rang. I quickly ran inside to grab the handset and answered it. "Hello and good morning," I said cheerfully into the phone. "Well for someone I haven't talked to in forever you sure sound chipper," the voice said, laughing. I recognized that voice right off and immediately my face lit up. "CAMERON!! Oh My God, how the hell are you?" "I'm doing good, but apparently not as good as you," he replied. "Oh, I'm sorry, I sound like an idiot. I just had the most FABULOUS night last night. I'll try and contain myself." I said laughing. "Well, to what do I owe the pleasure of this phone call?" "I just wanted to call and ask what you were doing for the next couple days and to see if I could crash at your place." "You're going to be in town? What for?" I asked "Well, lucky little ol' me has tickets to the N'Sync concert tonight in Dallas, and so I figured, why not make a weekend out of it and spend some time with my best friend that I never see. That is if you're up for company this weekend," he replies sarcastically "I would love the company. I'm going to the concert myself and so the both of us can make an event of it. When are you flying in?" "Well, I'm pulling up to the airport now and my flight leaves at 11:00. I should be in Dallas at about 2:00. Can you be there to pick me up at the airport?" "You bet! I'll meet you at the baggage claim. You do remember what I look like, don't you?" "Cody, it's only been 2 months since I've seen you, you couldn't have changed that much in just 2 months. And if your still in the mood you're in now, all I have to do is look for the Dumb Ass with the big Dumb Ass grin on his face," he said, laughing. I did so miss that laugh. "Dumb Ass grin?" I said faking hurt. "Have you seen a mirror lately? I didn't give you the nickname of Ass Face for nothing, you know." "Just be there at 2:00, alright, Dumb Ass?" he said laughing. "You got it, Ass Face," I said chuckling. "I'll see you in a while. Bye." "See ya!" He replied, hanging up. I hung up the phone smiling from ear to ear. This weekend could not get any better. I started towards the bathroom to jump in the shower when it all dawned on me. "OH SHIT," I said out loud when I realized that I told Lance that I would be at the arena to hang out with him at 1:30. I guess in all my excitement I completely forgot about meeting Lance. I was frantically going over in my mind what I could do when my phone rang again. Thinking it was Cameron, I walked back into the kitchen and answered it. "Good Lord, do I have to hold your hand as you get on the plane, too?" I said exasperated. "Huh? I'm not getting on a plane," Lance said, confused. "Oh shit, Lance, I'm sorry about that," I said, completely embarrassed. "I just got off the phone with my best friend, Cameron, who was about to get on a plane. I thought it was him being stupid and calling me back to annoy me." "Well, sounds like you two have quite the relationship," Lance replied, chuckling. "Where's he flying to?" "Actually, it's a good thing you called. I need to talk to you about that," I said sitting down at the kitchen table. "It seems that he has tickets to your show tonight, so he decided to make a weekend of it and stay here in Dallas with me. I haven't seen or talked to him in about 2 months and now I feel like a complete idiot because in all my excitement, I completely spaced out that I was meeting you at 1:30. I am not canceling on you, but is there any way that we could hang after the show? I hope I didn't just screw everything up." "Stop it," Lance replied. "You didn't screw anything up. We are on a quick break from rehearsal now and I thought I would give you a call. It sounds like it was a good thing that I did. What time does his plane come in?" "He said he lands at 2:00," I said wondering what he was up to. "Perfect! We are done rehearsing about 1:00, so how about we do this? After rehearsal, I'll get cleaned up, hop in the car, come get you and we'll both will pick him up from the airport." "Are you sure?" I asked. "I don't want to impose." "You're not going to be imposing. I would love to meet him if that's OK? If you want, he can hang with us and the guys before the show." "I would love you to meet him, but is that allowed?" I asked. I trusted Cameron implicitly, but Lance and the others are mega celebrities; they probably have strict security protocols for stuff like this. "Cody, if he is a friend of yours then he has to be a good guy. I know that Josh, Joey and Justin won't mind. And Chris, well I told you last night what he could do," he said laughing. "Alright then, it's settled. I really appreciate this Lance. I take back all those mean things I said about you." "WHAT!" was all I heard from Lance before I broke out into hysterical laughter. "I'm...only...kidding...Lance," was all I could manage as I tried to catch my breath and compose myself. "I'll get you for that Cody," I heard Lance reply, hearing noise in the background. "Hey, I have to go back to rehearsal now. I'll see you about 1:30 at your place?" "That works for me. Thanks again, Lance, I owe you one." "Don't think I won't make you pay up either, Walker. After that last comment, your ass belongs to me now!" Lance replied, laughing. Doing my best confused-cheerleader impression, I replied back "Just my ass?" "Ugh! You're impossible!" Lance said exasperated. "I'll see you later." "Bye, Lance." I laughed and hung up the phone. `AGAIN, COULD THIS DAY GET ANY BETTER?' I thought to myself as I put the phone back in its cradle and went upstairs to get in the shower. I walked into the bathroom, stripped off my clothes, glanced in the mirror and couldn't believe what I saw. Staring back at me was the luckiest guy on the entire planet. I was amazed at how much my life had changed over the last two days. I went from the day-from-hell to spending the weekend with the beautiful Lance Bass, the rest of N'Sync and my best friend in the entire universe, Cameron. I didn't know what higher power or force was watching over me but I just hoped that it wouldn't stop. I didn't ever think I could be this happy and I didn't ever want it to end. I started the shower, got it to the right temperature, and jumped in. As I let the water cascade over my body, my mind turned to Lance. I will never forget how my body and heart felt the minute he kissed me. You've heard about those moments in people's lives that are small and minute, but seem to last forever? That was my moment. Just having my arms around his waist, feeling his body pressed up to mine. Feeling his chest expand and compress as he breathed, and the tender feel of his soft lips touching my own. I will never forget that moment. Naturally all these thoughts of last night got me all excited, and my cock that was limp when I got I the shower, was now standing at full attention. I leaned back against the side of the shower and closed my eyes. With the water still falling on my excited body, I grabbed the shaft of my hard cock and started stroking it while thinking of Lance. It didn't take long before I exploded in orgasm all over the shower curtain. I'd not had an orgasm like that for a long time and I nearly collapsed from its strength. I cleaned myself up and finished my shower. I got out, dried off and went to my room in search of just the right thing to wear for my day and night with Lance. Two hours later - who knew that looking just right would take so long? - I had finally decided on a pair of black slacks and a red button up shirt from Banana Republic. After checking myself over one last time in the mirror, I headed downstairs to wait for Lance to arrive. I glanced at the clock on the stove as I entered the kitchen and it said 12:30. `Hmmm, an hour to go before they get here,' I thought to myself. I went to the fridge, grabbed myself a soda and wandered into the living room, grabbing the remainder of the newspaper I'd started reading on the way. I went in, flipped on the radio, and sat down to finish reading the paper. I was sitting there, jamming to the music and reading the paper when I heard the DJ say "Alright, its time to go to the phones and find the lucky listener who will win floor seats and backstage passes to tonight's N'Sync concert." I just giggled to myself as I thought of how jealous that person would be if they knew just how "In" I was with N'Sync and just what I would get to do at the concert. I guess being infatuated with one of the band members has its privileges "Hello, Caller, who am I speaking to?" I heard the DJ say as he answered one of the phone lines. "My name is Gina," the caller said. I immediately recognized that voice and bolted up straight where I was sitting. Please, God, I pleaded in my head, don't let her be the winning caller. I wanted tonight to be fun and drama free, and I knew that would not be the case if she were there. "Well, hey there, Gina," the DJ continued. "Are you having a good day today?" "Yeah, I am," Gina answered nervously. "Well, how about we make your day even better by telling you that you have just won floor tickets and backstage passes to the N'Sync concert tonight in Dallas." All that could be heard on the radio were screams of happiness coming from Gina. Once she finally calmed down, she kept repeating "Oh My God, Oh My God" over and over again. "You alright, Gina?" the DJ asked, laughing. "Yeah, I'm just excited. I can't believe this, thank you so much." "Thank you for listening. Hang on the line for me and well get all your information, and Gina," the DJ asked again. "Who just made your night a hell of a lot better?" "KMPJ Radio 95." Gina said with glee. "Congratulations again to Gina," the DJ exclaimed. "She is going to see N'Sync tonight in Dallas. Speaking of N'Sync, here they are with one of my personal favorites `It's Gonna Be Me' on KMPJ Radio 95." As the song started I just sighed to myself. So Gina will be there tonight. Well, it's a huge arena and hopefully I won't bump into her. I will just stay out of sight while they do their meet and greet with the fans so she shouldn't spot me there. I had just settled back in to read the paper again when the phone rang. I got up and went into the kitchen and answered it. "Hello." "Hello there, baby-boy, how you feeling today?" Sylvia's voice said. "Hey, Syl, what's going on?" I replied smiling. "I'm doing well. Just got home from work and figured I would call you to see how you're doing," she said in her concerned mother voice. I missed hearing that voice. "I'm doing wonderful, Sylvia. I haven't been this happy since I don't know when." "How's the head? Have you had any more problems with it?" she asked. "Nope it's been fine since I left the hospital," I replied "Speaking of the hospital, how are things going at work?" "Oh, you know, same shit different day. Nothing has changed in two days, my dear," she said with a chuckle. "What I really called for is how everything went with Lance and dinner?" "It had its ups and downs. It's kind of a long story." "Well, I have time, start talking," she said laughing. I glanced at the clock again and it said 12:45. I had about 45 minutes before Lance would arrive so I told her the whole story of dinner and the walk that Lance and I had last night. It was wonderful to hear her reactions and get her take on everything as we talked. Just knowing she is listening makes me feel a lot better about things. Something about her just soothes my heart. You could tell in the way she was talking that she had a huge smile on her face. "Well, it sounds like you have a bright future ahead of you," she said after I had finished my story. "Yeah, but I'm scared," I replied. "Why on earth are you scared, Cody?" Sylvia asked. "'Cause this is the best thing that ever happened to me and I don't want to screw it up. I have always been able to make the worst out of the best, and I don't want to do that to Lance." "First and foremost," Sylvia said firmly. "Have a little confidence in yourself and who you are. You are a beautiful person, Cody, and Lance would be one lucky man to have you. Just be you and that should be enough. If it is not enough, then he is not someone that you should have in your life." "I know that, Syl," I said, turning my back to the kitchen door. "But he is a mega star who has everything, why would he want someone like me who, compared to him, has basically nothing? I am merely a peasant with little to his name. He is a Prince who can have anything and everything he wanted." "Because no matter how much I acquire or how much I buy, it could never take the place of having someone as wonderful as you to love, hold and be with for the rest of my life," Lance said, wrapping his arms around me from behind. I jumped at the sound of his voice, and he pulled me tighter to him. The feel of his arms around me began to calm my nerves and melt my heart. "How did you get in here?" I said turning to face him, still holding the phone to my ear. "The door was unlocked so I figured I'd come in and surprise you. I didn't mean to scare you," Lance replied. "I must have left the door unlocked when I got my paper this morning," I said smiling. "Who are you on the phone with?" Lance asked. "Oh, shit," I exclaimed, going back to the phone. "Sylvia, are you still there?" "Yes, baby-boy, I'm still here and I heard everything," Sylvia said sweetly. I immediately began to blush as Lance looked at me strangely. "I'm sorry about that, Sylvia. I didn't mean to ignore you," I said apologetically. "It's OK, dear, no worries. Cody, he likes you, I can hear it in his voice. Please don't be worried. He sounds genuinely interested in you and everything about you. Just be yourself and let time take you and Lance to where you need to be," she said as a single tear streamed down my face. I loved this woman so much because she was able to read my heart and knew just what to say to make me feel what I needed to feel. "Cody, can I talk to Lance for a second?" Sylvia asked. "Um, sure, I guess," I replied. "Sylvia wants to talk to you," I said, handing Lance the phone. Lance took the phone and hesitantly brought it to his ear. "Hello?" "Lance, this is Sylvia. Do you remember me from the hospital?" Sylvia asked. "Yes, I remember. How're you doing?" Lance replied. "I'm doing just fine. Listen, I want to thank you for coming into Cody's life. He's been through so much, which I'm sure he will explain to you when the time is right, that he's started doubting himself and his abilities. Continue to do whatever it is you're doing. You're helping him tremendously. He needs to know that he's a good person capable of being loved. So please do just that; be his friend and love him for who he is." "Thank you, Sylvia, I already do," Lance said looking at me with a warm smile. "Here's Cody." "What did you say to him, Sylvia?" I asked, taking the phone from Lance. "Nothing bad. Now listen to me," Sylvia said firmly. "Standing in front of you is a very genuine man who wants nothing more than to get to know the real Cody Walker. Give him that chance. Let him see the true you, let him see who the real Cody is. I promise you will be very surprised at the outcome. Don't worry about your demons either. We all have them and I get the feeling yours won't sway Lance in the slightest. I love you, baby-boy, now go have a good time." "I will, Sylvia," I said smiling. "I love you, too. Bye Momma." "Bye, baby-boy," she replied hanging up the phone. I put the phone back in its cradle and turned to face Lance. The second I saw him I ran to him and gave him the biggest hug EVER. "It's so good to see you, Lance," I whispered in his ear. "It's good to see you, too, Cody," he said, glancing at the clock. "Well, its 1:30. We better take off." "OK," I said. "Let's go." I grabbed my keys and we headed out the door. When we reached the bottom of the stairs outside my door I was shocked at what I saw. A shiny black stretch limousine was parked in front of the complex. "What's this?" I asked, turning to Lance. "I thought we would just take Joey's SUV." "This is all Justin's doing. He wants to apologize for how he treated you last night. He said that you're going to get the celebrity treatment tonight whether you like it or not," Lance said laughing. "Well, that is very thoughtful of him, but not necessary. I already forgive him." We walked to the limo and climbed in and I was greeted by three sets of eyes. Josh, Joey and Justin were all sitting across from me. Josh and Joey were grinning from ear to ear, and Justin was just looking at me timidly, with more of an ashamed look on his face. "Hey, guys!" I exclaimed, smiling back at them as the limo started toward the airport. "How're you all doing?" "We're doing OK. How're you doing?" Josh said with a smile. "Well, when I left last night I wasn't so good," I said glancing at Justin, who just looked down at the floorboards of the limo. "But after I talked to Lance, everything was good." "That's great to hear," Joey replied nodding his head towards Justin, indicating I should say something to him. "Justin," I said quietly, causing him to raise his eyes to me, but he was still frowning. "I promise you, I'm OK. No harm done. So please stop frowning, you're much cuter when you smile." When I said that, I heard Lance snicker, and the looks of shock on Justin and Josh's faces were priceless. Joey just started to laugh. "I knew it!!" Joey exclaimed loudly. "Knew what?" I asked confused. "I knew you batted for the `other' team." Joey said, beaming. "Don't worry, we're all fine with it. I just had the vibe from you when I met you and it's just cool that I was right." "Thanks, Joey. I think," I said giggling. "It's just that I had a very good friend tell me that I should not worry so much and just be myself. I trust you guys, so I figured it was OK to let you know my biggest little secret." "Well it changes nothing," Justin finally spoke. "We like you just the same, and I owe you a huge apology. If I had known it was you in that bathroom, I would have knocked Chris out cold right there. I do not know what his problem is, but I don't share his sentiments. Lance is not one to walk into any situation blindly, and if he likes you, then that means that you have to be a good guy. I hope we can still be friends." "Of course we can, Justin," I said. "No harm, no foul. I'd be happy to be your friend." Justin immediately perked up and was an active part of the conversation as we talked our way to the airport. When we arrived, the limo just parked out at the curb and I went in to get Cameron from the baggage claim area. As I approached the baggage claim area, I saw Cameron standing with his bag. His back was to me so I snuck up behind him. "Hey, little boy, you lost? Want some candy?" I said rather loudly, causing him to jump and scream. "Good God, Dumb Ass! Are you trying to give me heart failure?" he said, playfully socking me in the arm. "I was trying," I said laughing. "But yet, you're still standing." "Shut up and hug me," Cameron said, pulling me into a huge bear hug. It was nice to hug him again. Cameron was one of my best friends on the planet and I missed his huge hugs. "You look awesome," he said as he released me from the hug. "You don't look so bad yourself," I replied with a smile. "Now let's get out of here." We made our way to the doors and went out to the curb. Cameron looked around and began to get very confused. "Where's your car, Walker? You sure as hell don't expect me to walk. I'm not in sensible shoes you know," he said smiling. "I didn't bring my car," I said laughing. "And no, you're not walking. Our ride is over here." I made my way to the limo with him following close behind me. The chauffer had gotten out and opened the trunk for the luggage as I heard Cameron say "What the hell?" After the luggage was loaded, the chauffer came around, opened the door and I climbed in. Cameron climbed in after me and the chauffer closed the door. Cameron looked around for a minute trying to get his bearings when he noticed who was sitting in the car with us. He froze completely, his eyes got wide and his mouth opened as if to say something but nothing came out. It was about that time that Lance leaned forward, and extended his hand, "You must be Cameron. Cody's said a lot of good things about you." Cameron did not move, did not extend his hand. He just sat there in awe, with that dumfounded look on his face. **To Be Continued**
