I'm sorry the chapters are getting so short, but I always seem to run out of steam at the end of a story. Anyway, ENJOY! www.aarondelorean.com Disclaimer: *says in Dana Carvey voice* "Not gonna do it!" But seriously, I highly doubt that BSB's publicist(s) are actually over here reading my story, so I guess I'm safe. Besides, they can't sue me, I'd go broke and then I'd end up having to file for bankruptcy, and they would never see a single cent. lol. What's that? A Haldol? Oh no, I'm fine thanks. "Watching You Without Me" Aaron DeLorean *Chapter Sixteen* ____________________________ "Can't let you know What's been happening. There's a ghost in our home, Just watching you without me. I'm not here." --Kate Bush ____________________________ Four weeks later found me still at home in Seattle, with a cast on my wrist. I was more than willing to try and forget what Brian had done to me, and A.J. was more than happy to try and help me forget. Nimm had come up to see me once right after I was let out of the hospital. She had expressed her sorrow for not being able to help me. We had talked it out, and she had been all right. I had decided to arrange a small dinner for A.J., the rest of the Backstreet Boys, and Nimm and Tori. I wanted to help everyone heal after Brian's funeral. The doorbell rang, and I immediately tensed. A.J. noticed and came over to me. "Baby, relax, it'll be fine!" He said, kissing me softly. "But what if they don't like me?" I said quietly, "What if they...what if they blame me for Brian's death?" A.J. frowned. "Oh hun," he said consoling me, "Nobody is mad at you, I've talked to them all." I sighed, "I hope you're right." The doorbell rang again insistently. "Ok, Alright!" I said loudly as I made my way into the front hall, "I'm coming!" I didn't bother checking the Aifone, I knew who was at the door. I brushed at my hair nervously, and then swung the door open. Tori immediately burst through, a blur of leather heals and fur coat. "Christ," she began loudly, "Those cross-country plane trips will be the death of me before I'm 25, I swear to god!" She proclaimed as she slithered out of her coat. I grimaced, "Oh god Tori, not again with fur." She rolled her eyes. I continued, "And Tori hun, you ARE 25." She laughed, "Yes, and you're 22, so what?" Someone cleared their throat loudly. I turned around to look, and there they were. The Backstreet Boys; or what was left of them anyway. Nimm stomped in the door in her Doc Martins. "So you gonna let us in or just stand there and yack with Tori?" I smiled widely. "Oh my god! Nimmy!" I ran up to hug her. We embraced, and then she turned to Nick, "Here hun, take my coat please." She said, pilling it on Nick's outstretched arms. "Crack that whip." Kevin said under his breath. I looked at him confused, "What?" Nimm rolled her eyes. "I've wanted to tell you since...well since you got out of the hospital, but I thought I'd wait for a more...opportune moment." I scrunched up my nose, "Tell me WHAT?" I asked. Nimm smiled. "That Nick and I are..." She let the sentence hang in mid air. My jaw dropped open. "No fucking way!" I yelled, shocked. Nick nodded, "Yeah man, it's true." A wide grin planted itself on my face. "OH MY GOD!" I yelled. I hugged Nimm tightly to me. She smiled. I looked over at Nick. "You hurt her, and I will hunt you down and hurt you so bad that your great-grandchildren will feel it. That is IF you have any." I declared, shaking my finger at him. Kevin walked forward. "Whoa there," he said, "We already got that speech from Tori." I dropped my finger. "Oh." "Boy did we ever." I heard Nick say under his breath as proper introductions were made. We sat down to dinner. *To Be Continued*
