Chapter 130

Josh sighed, the two men beside him staring quietly at him, Josh's arm around Colton.
They were in the main elevator in the hospital, heading upwards to Lucas' room.

"Never ends, Joshy." Justin said, Lance's green pools meeting his lover's blue.

"I can't believe that vulture's still circling." Josh softy saying, Lance's arm going around him.

The group had had to fight their way through a barrage of reporters camped outside the hospital's front entrance, a team of security guards surrounding them.

Harry and Alain were at their sides as well, the two focused on the surrounding melee.

Harry now stood in front of everyone, his back to the elevator's door, Alain standing behind them.

"I'm going to cut that Sheppard a new ass. It's going to be wide with my foot up it." Harry said, Alain's eyes meeting his.

Lance's hand went to Harry's shoulder in front of him, the younger man staring into his green pools.

"Think of Lucas, Harry. We need to keep him calm." Lance said, Harry lowering his eyes, nodding his head.

The group had almost made it to the front glass doors of the hospital's entrance when a voice had stopped Josh and Justin, their friends meeting a smiling face.

"Justin! How's Lucas really doing? Is this all a contrived sham to make him the new poster boy for everyone's sympathy?"

Justin's blue pools had met Morgan Sheppard's blue eyes, the man standing to their right side, a cameraman right behind him, focused on the three singers.

"I don't know what you're referring to, Sheppard. Our friend was shot, he's in critical but stable condition. That's all we have to say. We're going in to see him." Justin said, beginning to move, Josh and Colton moving as well.

"Charged with murder, then freed?  I was in that courtroom, it looked well staged. Seems Carver can give you a run for your money Timberlake, in the acting department and music department."

Justin moved forward towards Sheppard, his eyes darkening, Morgan staring at him.

"He was shot, Sheppard! He saved the judge's life! As well as others! He risked his own life for all of us!" Justin said, rather loudly, the surrounding reporters staring at him.

"Your young friend is a dangerous man, Justin. Murder surrounds him, real and attempted. He's got a lot of celebrities surrounding him as well. You can't tell me you guys aren't concerned by the danger surrounding you?" Sheppard said, Josh glaring at him.

Lance's hand went to Josh's shoulder.

"All we're concerned about is making sure our friend recovers. There is no danger in his giving friendship and love." Lance said, looking at Harry.

"Let's go in, guys." he said, the cameras flashing around them.

"You banging Carver now, Bass? Isn't he out of your league?" Morgan said, Justin's eyes widening with anger, the man moving forward.

Harry was on his friend immediately, stopping Justin from almost reaching the reporter, Justin's fists clenched, the man struggling against the younger, stronger bodyguard.

Morgan smiled, Harry and Alain guiding everyone forward, Josh's arm around Colton, Lance's arm going around Justin.

Ben, Morgan's cameraman, smiled, lowering his camera when the men disappeared into the hospital.

"You really set him off, Morgan. Maybe Bass is banging him. Didn't think Timberlake was gay." Ben smirked, whispering to his friend.

"They all look close. But they've been friends for years."  Morgan said, he and Ben walking away from the other reporters.

"Maybe friends with benefits. Well Bass is gay, that's a fact. Timberlake ain't though. He's banging Jessica Biel. Maybe he's bi." Ben said, smiling at Morgan, the reporter looking deep in thought.

"We need to get in there, Ben. What's the word on our friend?" Morgan said, the cameraman smiling.

"Rico's shift starts at two this afternoon. He'll meet us in the employee parking lot. You'll get through with his access card. But it wasn't easy. Rico's nothing if not relentless. My ass is still sore from last night. And he wants more from both of us." Ben said, Morgan staring at him.

"You enjoyed it. As did Rico."

The cameraman smiled, nodding his head.

"I loved the ride, Sheppard. You both were amazing."

Morgan smiled, the two walking up to his car.

"Then you both can ride me again while we wait."
The man smiled, the two climbing into Morgan's car

Lance's eyes went to Justin, the man sighing again.

"I'm sorry I began to lose it out there, guys. I just couldn't let him say that about you, Lance." Justin said, Lance smiling at him.

"Sorry, my love." Justin said, Lance kissing his cheek.

"I felt all your protective love, my angel.  But I've met guys like him before. Taunting words are just that. Words." Lance said, his friends smiling at him.

"I'd never let anyone demean you like that, my love."  Justin said, Lance smiling at him.

"It's nice to know I have so much protective love around me." he said, Colton kissing his cheek.

"We all love you, Lance." Alain said, Lance smiling at him and Harry.

"Lucas doesn't need to know about this, guys. Let's focus on keeping him calm and rested."

Colton softly smiled, the five smiling at him, the elevator door opening, Harry stepping out, scanning the area.

The three singers and Colton walked out, Alain behind them, Harry ahead of them.

They walked up to the nurses station, the nurse looking at them with soft surprise.

"Good morning, gentlemen. You're. . .you're all here early." she said, Justin glancing at his watch, the hour reading nine forty-five.

"We missed our friend. How's Lucas this morning?" Justin smiled, the nurse quietly staring at him.

"He's. . .Dr. Welby is in with him at the moment. Linda paged him this morning." the nurse said, everyone seeing a soft look of confusion on her face.

Colton softly smiled at her, Josh's face showing concern as he stared at her.

"Life and love give us moments of surprise." Colton said, the nurse staring at him, everyone looking at him.

"Is Lucas alright?" Josh said, looking down the corridor towards his room.

"He's awake and. . .Dr. Welby can discuss that with you." the nurse said, everyone staring at her with confusion. Josh didn't wait for any more words, the man moving, everyone following him down the corridor.

Josh saw the door of Lucas' room opening, Linda walking out of the room, everyone staring at her.

They stopped, seeing a look of shocked surprise and awe on her face.

"What's wrong, Linda?" Lance said, the nurse lowering her eyes, walking past them, heading for the nurses station.

Josh moved again, pushing against the door, walking into the room, he and everyone stopping in their tracks, everyone's eyes meeting two pools of violet love.

Josh and everyone stared towards the bed with awed shock.

Colton softly smiled to himself, the young man staring at Lucas as well.

Lucas sat on the edge of his bed, his feet on the floor, his smile breathtaking.

Pierce stood beside him, unwrapping the blood pressure gauge from Lucas' bicep, his blue eyes turning to those standing in the doorway.

"Your friend continues to shock all of us. Myself the most." he said, Colton smiling, the young man moving forward, everyone else staring in awed silence, slowly walking more into the room, all now standing at the end of Lucas' bed.

They all saw the look of confused awe on Dr. Welby's face, Colton sitting down beside Lucas, the younger man hugging him.

"Morning, Dad!" he smiled, Lucas smiling and kissing his forehead, his arm around him.

"Morning, son."

Colton lightly laughed,  Dr. Welby staring at the two.
Josh moved forward, Lucas smiling at him as he sat down on Lucas' other side, the two staring into each other's eyes.

"I'm feeling better, my love. The waters flowed greatly last night." he said, Josh staring at him with quiet awe.

"Lucas' you're. . .you're sitting up! And you look amazing!" Josh said, Dr. Welby staring at Lucas.

"That he is, Josh. Amazing indeed." he said, everyone else staring at Lucas, Alain walking back to the room's door, closing it.

Lucas smiled, leaning in and kissing Josh on the lips.

"I'm feeling much better, babe. My legs are still unfortunately immobile, but the pain's greatly reduced."  he said, looking  up at Pierce.

"Sorry for shocking Linda when she walked in here this morning, Pierce. I hope her scream didn't wake everyone up."

Dr. Welby nodded, staring at him.

"She couldn't believe it, Lucas.  You totally shocked her. You've rattled all of us for that matter." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"I told you I was a lousy patient. I had to get healing. I have a great metabolism, I heal fast." he said, Pierce nodding with a wondrous look on his face.

"This is unbelievable, Lucas. I sense you're an unbelievable man. I've never heard of. . .or  seen such a miraculous. . ." the doctor said, Josh looking up at him, their eyes meeting.

"Your friend's vitals have all stabilized. His blood pressure, temperature and heart rate are normal, no trauma or exhaustion that we could see. Even his stitches are healing at an amazing rate. I just can't believe this!" Pierce said, looking at the young man with awe on his face again.

Lucas sighed, looking at Colton.

The younger man smiled, standing up again, smiling at the doctor.

"Our family is rich in vitality, Doctor. Lucas is even richer in his magical love." the young man said, Pierce staring at him.

"I'm beginning to see that, young man." he said, Colton smiling at Lucas, the young man smiling at Pierce.

"I am one of a kind, Pierce." he said, the doctor nodding.

"We can start those tests if you like, Pierce." Lucas said, the doctor nodding again.

"Alright then. We'll start the spinal tests later today, Lucas." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"It's Luke, Pierce." he said, the doctor nodding his head again.

"Simply amazing." he softly said, the young doctor looking around at everyone, then quietly walking out of the room.

The minute Alain closed the door again behind the doctor, Lucas was wrapped in a trio of awed love.

Colton had smiled; Justin, Josh and Lance all gently wrapping their arms around the young man,  Lucas feeling their awed love.

He kissed each of them, the three feeling his energized love.

"You're. . .you're so amazing, Lucky." Josh said, Lucas kissing his tear-covered face.

"I just had to focus and center my magic, my love." he said, Lance smiling at him.

"You went to the pool again?"

The young man nodded, moving back in the bed, everyone rising and giving him room, Colton smiling, helping him move his legs back into the bed, his three soulmates staring down at him.

Lucas' bed was elevated, the young man sitting up.

"I bathed in the rejuvenating love of my magic again, my friends. My great-grandfather's love there as well." he smiled, Harry and Alain both moving to the bed, Lucas gently hugged by both.

"Your love is magic, Luke. Glad to see you smiling and energetic." Alain said, Lucas smiling at him.

"It's a joy seeing your wide loving smile again, Luke." Harry said, Lucas kissing his cheek, the two men rising again.

Josh sat down on the bed again, his hand going into Lucas'.

The two looked at each other, Lucas smiling his Josh smile.

"Fat chance I'd leave you alone long with these two warped angels. Justin would capture your innocent beauty so easily." he said, Justin laughing, tears showing on his and Lance's faces.

Josh smiled, kissing his man's lips again.

"I only need your beauty, my love."

"Yeah right, Josh! That Lance looks beyond delicious!" he said, Lance now laughing, everyone else chuckling.

Justin and Lance both smiled, seeing the love in Lucas' violet pools for both of them.

Justin's hand went to Colton's shoulder, the young man looking at him.

"You knew, didn't you, Colt? Those words you said to the nurse at the nurses station!" he said, everyone now looking at him.

The young man softly smiled, looking at Lucas.

"I felt your increased love this morning when I woke up, Luke. And also the magic's renewed strength. I knew you'd revitalized yourself." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

The other men stared at him with surprise, the young man softly blushing.

Lucas patted the other side of the bed, Colton smiling and walking around it, sitting down on Lucas' other side, the two gently hugging again.

"Who says the boybanders had it right? I think you and I are in sync!"

Josh, Justin and Lance groaned, Harry and Alain laughing.

"That's bad, babe." Josh said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Want to talk about it, Justin?" he said, now staring at Justin, his blue pools looking at Lance and Josh.

"Talk about what?" he said, Lucas leaning in and kissing his Josh's lips again.

"I'll always feel my friends' protective love centering. I felt your love ignite for Lance downstairs. I take it is was Sheppard again?"

Everyone looked surprised, Colton quietly staring at Lucas.

"The place is inundated with reporters, Luke. He was the most vocal." Harry said, Alain's arms wrapped around him.

The young man nodded, looking around at everyone.

"The world's ever-enquiring need. I think I should make a statement." he said, Josh squeezing his hand.

Justin stared down at the young man.

"I think you should be kept out of the spotlight, Luke. You'd only draw his gaze."

The young man sighed again, smiling at his friend.

"I'll see him soon enough. And he's on his path as I am on mine." he said, everyone looking between each other.

"Meaning what, Luke?" Lance said, Lucas meeting his green pools.

"Meaning we walk where we must." the young man said, Josh kissing his cheek.

Josh's eyes saw the rawhide cord hanging around his man's neck, the man's fingers going to it, pulling out the red stone that lay hidden under Lucas' hospital gown.

"I see the Teardrop moves again." he said, rubbing its smooth surface, remembering the nurse giving him it with Lucas' other personal effects yesterday to take home.

He'd taken the stone back home and placed it on their dresser back home.

"It's a part of me, Joshua. It goes where I go." Lucas said, Colton smiling at him.

"As does your love." Colton said, everyone looking at him.

Lucas' violet pools stared at the young man, the two smiling at each other.

"I take it the showing of their love was beautiful, our wandering angel?" Lucas said, Colton's eyes lowering.

"How long have you known?" he said, his blue pools meeting Lucas' violet  again.

"From the moment I lifted you in my arms near that tomb in Westonshire, Colt." he said, Colton looking surprised.

Everyone stared at the two, not sure of what they were talking of.

"What's going on, my love?" Josh said, Lucas smiling at him.

"That exactly it, my Joshua. Love is going on. New love, rekindled love and youthful, searching love." he said, his violet pools looking at Colton again.

The young man softly blushed, Lucas leaning forward and kissing his cheek, the young man smiling.

"I love you, Colton. We'll discuss the ethics of your path later. Right now I'm starving. Did anyone bring me some food?" the man said, smiling around at everyone.

Harry smiled at his cousin.

"I saw a Burger King down the street. I can sneak out and fill a couple of bags for you." he smiled, Lucas grinning.

"My Whopper pimp. You know I love them big."

Everyone laughed, the young man smiling, Alain and Harry leaning down and kissing his cheeks again, the two men smiling and walking out of the room.

The four remaining men stared at Lucas, Lucas smiling at all four.

"I love all four of you. My surrogate son, my husband-to-be, and the two of my joined heart. I am still myself, everyone. Regardless of the cumbersome reality of my lethargic legs. Life goes on. And I'm living. And I feel great." he said, all four smiling at him.

"Why can't your magic heal that pain, Luke? I feel the immensity of its power." Colton said, Lucas smiling at him.

"In time, Colt. I just need the joining factor. My total magic is just not whole."

The young man nodded, his face showing a look of soft thought.

"Just think, Luke. Josh will be happy. You're easier to catch now." Colton said, Lucas laughing loudly.

All four smiled, seeing his happy smile.

"I may be slow of movement, but my heart's desires are back." he said, his violet pools meeting two sets of blue love and a set of green beauty.

Colton smiled, kissing his friend's cheek.

"I feel three hearts just filled with joy." he said, Josh looking at him.

"Your eyes give all of you away. I see the joined love, it's beautiful." he said, Josh smiling at him, his blue eyes meeting Lance's and Justin's.

"You're very smart, Colt." Justin said, Colton smiling at him.

"I feel love, my friends. And yours is spectacular." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

The young man snuggled against him, Lucas' mind on his own thoughts.

Josh smiled, pushing the wheelchair down the corridor, Dr. Welby walking beside him and Lucas, Lucas sitting in the wheelchair.

Harry and Alain walked behind the men, Harry scanning the area surrounding them.

"That's the last test, Luke. Sorry for their length." he said, Lucas covering his mouth, the doctor having seen the yawn escaping.

Lucas had gone through a battery of tests all afternoon; EKG, blood tests, x-rays and finally an MRI.
Here now they were returning to his room, the young doctor walking back with him and Josh.

"Your eyes seemed to show a look of surprise in the MRI room, Pierce." Lucas said, looking up at him, the doctor's blue eyes meeting his.

"I think you're indeed a surprising man, Lucas. Your metabolism as you said is great, in fact it's unbelievable. Your brain waves, molecular structure, they're. . .they're so unique, so untainted. It's unlike anything I've ever seen. You're what I'd call the perfect specimen. You have a true unblemished physical structure. Your cell count is amazing. You're so amazing."

"I definitely have to get those cards made." Lucas said, Josh softly smiling at him, Harry lightly chuckling.

"You have a totally healthy metabolism, Luke. No infections, cellular abnormality or disease. Have you ever been seriously sick?" Pierce said, Lucas sighing.

"Not that I recollect." he said, his eyes looking down the corridor.

An orderly was walking towards them, the young man looking Hispanic, staring nonchalantly at the group.

Lucas saw the young man's hand go to a room door, lightly tapping on it.

No one else seemed to notice, the young man walking past them a few moments later.

His dark brown eyes stared at Josh's handsome face, Josh disregarding his glance, his eyes focused on his Lucas.

Lucas' violet pools met Pierce's blue, the younger man nodding.

Pierce pulled out his cell phone, quietly talking as the men walked down the hallway towards Lucas' room.

Josh pushed the wheelchair forward, the two men going towards the door the orderly had knocked on.

The door suddenly opened, Morgan Sheppard stepping out into the hall right in front of Lucas and Josh.

"Hello, Carver! You don't look that ill!" the man said, Ben's camera focused on Lucas, the cameraman walking out of the room behind Morgan.

"Sheppard!" Josh said, stopping the chair, Lucas staring at the man smiling in front of him.

"What gives, Carver? I thought you were at death's door?" Morgan said, Pierce staring at the man as he closed off his cell phone.

Harry and Alain were moving, rushing in front of Lucas' chair, Josh pulling it back.

"Stop, guys." Lucas said, Harry looking at the young man.

"Back up, Harry. You also, Alain." Lucas said, Alain looking at Harry, the young man moving back.

Alain followed him, the two standing beside Josh, all three men glaring at Morgan.

"What are you doing here, Sheppard?" Lucas said, staring at the reporter glaring down at him.

"I'm here to uncover the lies, Carver. You seem no worse for wear from your ordeal. What are his injuries, Doctor?" Morgan said, staring now at Pierce.

"That's between my patient and myself, sir. Lucas is recovering from gunshot wounds." Pierce said, focusing on the man.

"You're in the middle of a media frenzy, Lucas. The public needs to know everything." the reporter said, Ben smiling behind him, his camera taking in the exchange.

Lucas saw the reporter's professionalism taking over, an interview in the offing.

"They will know everything, Sheppard. " Lucas said, Josh moving to Lucas' side.

"But not through you, Sheppard. Leave now or I'll have you thrown out." Josh said, Morgan staring at him.

"What's your story, Chasez? Why are you defending this dangerous mysterious man?"

"I'm his friend, Sheppard. I'll always defend my friends." Josh said, Lucas looking up at him.

"What are you hiding, Carver?" Morgan said, looking at Lucas again.

Lucas stared at him, the reporter smirking.

"We all hide things, Sheppard. Mine is my love."
The reporter laughed, his eyes showing a look of soft confusion.

"You've gotten off on your murder charges, Lucas. Slick work in that courtroom. Worthy of an Oscar." Morgan said, Josh's eyes flaring, he about to move, Lucas' hand grabbing his arm.

"Right now I'm recovering from my trauma. I'll soon voice the truth of that trial. And where my life will now lead. Josh is right. I'll show everything on my own terms." Lucas said, Pierce looking at the young man, seeing the tiredness showing on his face.
"Right now my patient needs rest. I want you both out of here. Now." Pierce said, Harry and Alain moving forward again.

"We both can escort you out. Now." Alain said, Morgan staring at the muscular black man and the other muscular young man at his side.

"Hired some goons have you, Lucas?" the reporter said, Lucas staring at him.

"I'm surrounded by friends. I don't have to hire protection from anyone. Especially you. You can tell your new employer that as well." the young man said, Morgan staring at him with confusion.

"I work freelance for ET, Carver. I always like exposing the fabricated stories. My bosses love it when I expose the truth." the man smiled, his bravado showing again.

"You won't be reporting for them long."

Morgan and Ben turned around, Morgan's eyes staring into two blue and two green pools.

Justin and Lance stood behind them, both staring at the reporter.

A uniformed security guard stood on Lance's right side, another on Justin's left.

"You both have ten seconds to leave or you're both charged with trespassing. This is a restricted area." one of the guards said, staring at Morgan.

Pierce's eyes went to Lucas, then looked at Morgan again, seeing the badge on his lapel.

He moved forward, pulling the picture badge off his jacket's lapel.

"Where did you get this? This is hospital issue." the doctor said, Ben looking at Morgan.

"I think we should leave, Morgan." Ben said, Morgan staring around at everyone.

"You can't keep the press from finding out the truth. I know something's going on here. You're hiding something, Carver." Morgan said, Lucas staring at him.

"I know what's going on here as well, Sheppard." he said, the two guards walking forward, Morgan looking at them.

"Okay, I'm leaving. But this isn't over, Carver. I sense a real story here." Morgan said, he and Ben moving, the two guards following them.

Lucas sighed, Josh's blue eyes watching the two men being escorted back down the corridor, his hand going to Lucas' shoulder.

"Are you alright, Luke? I can't believe they snuck in here!" Josh said, anger showing on his face and in his voice.

Lucas patted his man's arm, looking up at him.

"I need to rest, Josh." he softly said, Pierce looking at him.

"You were right on the money, Luke." he said, Josh and everyone looking at the two men with confusion.

"Let's get you back to bed, Luke. I'll bring them all up to speed." the young doctor said, Lucas nodding his head, the doctor pushing his wheelchair forward, everyone following the two men.

"You knew they were coming?" Justin said in surprise, staring at Pierce.

Pierce's blue eyes met Justin's blue, the young doctor removing the blood pressure gauge from Lucas' arm, smiling at him.

"Blood pressure's normal, Luke." he said, looking at Lucas, then at Justin again.

"Yes, Justin. I in a sense knew they were coming. Well, I knew they would come soon." the young doctor said, staring at Lucas.

Everyone saw their traded glances, Lance sitting down on the end of the bed, staring at Lucas, Josh seated on his other side, their hands entwined.

"You knew and told Pierce." he said, Lucas softy sighing, resting back against the pillows.

"Yes, Lance. I sensed the man's upcoming conniving deception." he said, his violet pools meeting Pierce's blue.

"You may want to talk to that orderly that walked past us, the Hispanic young man." he said, Pierce nodding.

"He provided the access, didn't he? The pass card?" Pierce said, Lucas nodding.

"I saw him tap on the door of the room Morgan and his cameraman came out of. He signalled them we were passing by." Lucas said, everyone looking surprised, Josh now remembering the forgotten man.

"We're going after him, Luke. This has to stop! He's stalking you!" Justin said, Lucas sighing again.

"He's looking to find fame, Justin. As he's looking to find wealth. He's burning his candle at both ends. I think it may be him that will get burned."

Josh squeezed Lucas' hand, their eyes meeting.

"Thank you for voicing your friendship with me, and the underlying love, my love. And thank you for providing the protective love everyone." Lucas said, his Josh smiling at him, Lucas' eyes looking around at all the smiling faces.

Pierce's eyes met his, the young doctor smiling.

"Lucas informed me of their coming as I said. He gave me the signal in the hallway to call security." Pierce said, Justin nodding.

"We met them when we were coming back to the room. They told us to follow them." Lance said.

"I told the guards to charge them with trespassing, Luke. They're both banned from this hospital and its grounds. And I'll inform them about our employee. I know the man, he's been here for about five years. I guess they paid him off?" Pierce said, Lucas nodding.

"He was rewarded, of that I have no doubt." Lucas said, sighing again.

"Something wrong, my love?" Josh said, Lucas looking at him, Josh kissing his cheek.

"Nothing that my voicing the truth won't fix." Lucas said, looking at Justin.

"I want to schedule a media meeting, Jus. I'm going to come clean on all of this." Lucas said, Justin standing beside Lance's seated form.

"You're recuperating, Luke. There'll be time enough later for interviews." Justin said, Lucas staring at him.

"I have to nip this in the bud, everyone. What better way than for me to tell the truth? And it should be done quickly." Lucas said, his violet pools meeting Pierce's blue.
"So what's the verdict, Doctor? What did the tests show?" Lucas said, Pierce staring into his determined violet pools.

His eyes met Josh's, then everyone's, the young doctor focusing on Lucas.

"The tests showed you have severe spinal nerve damage, Lucas. That has resulted in the paralysis of your legs. I wish I could give you a good prognosis, but the evidence speaks for itself. I can't guarantee that you'll ever regain movement of your legs."
Everyone lowered their eyes, Lucas staring around at everyone.

"Thank you for being honest, Pierce. You're a good friend." he said, Pierce staring at him, his blue eyes showing a soft wetness.

"I'm sorry,  Luke." he said, Lucas patting his arm.

"Don't be. You gave all your experience and devotion to that hope. I now have to give more." he said, Pierce staring at him.

"I'm not giving up, Pierce. I'll never give up." Lucas said, his violet pools staring into Josh's wet blue pools.

"I'll make you a promise here today, my love. I'm going to dance with you on our wedding day. I have full faith in that reality."

Josh nodded his head, leaning forward and kissing Lucas on his soft lips.

"It will be the greatest moment of my dreams, my love." he said, Lucas smiling.

His blue eyes went to Lance, then Justin, Justin's blue eyes filled with tears.

"Make that interview happen, my friend. And when that's done, I'm going home." he said, Pierce nodding at him.

"Alright, Lucas. There's not much else I can do for you here. Home life would be best for you. We'll organize a therapist who can help you at home." the young doctor said, Lucas smiling, taking his hand in his.
"And I and my Josh welcome you there as well, Pierce. We'd all like to get to know you better." the young man said, the doctor's eyes showing surprise.

"Really, Luke?" he said, looking around at the smiling faces around him.

"Yes, Pierce. I feel the goodness of your heart. I'd always want to call you a friend."
The young doctor smiled, patting Lucas' shoulder.

"Thank you, Luke. You rest now. I'll check in on you later." the doctor said, smiling around at everyone.

He walked out of the room, Alain closing the door behind him.

Lance's green pools met Lucas' violet.

"Reigning in another lost angel, Dad?" Colton said, Justin's arm around the young man.

The man smiled, leaning back against the pillows.

"Expanding the love, Colt. It needs to grow." Lucas smiled, a soft yawn escaping his lips.

"Close your eyes, babe." Josh said, Lucas smiling, his violet pools closing.

Everyone quietly stared at him, the young man surrounded by love.

Morgan Sheppard downed the drink, watching the young man leave his condo.

Rico waved goodbye to him, the young Hispanic man walking out the door.

He'd been suspended by the hospital, his complicity in the reporter's entrance found out.

He'd arrived at Morgan's place, anger showing on his face.

Within an hour the young man had surrendered to the reporter's domination.

The two, along with Ben, had spent most of the evening in Morgan's bedroom, the reporter on a mission of needful, forceful desire.

He'd been rather intense in his brooding need.

The hospital staffer had given in to the man's strength and domination, he and Ben both used by Morgan all evening.

Ben knew his friend was pissed, the reporter taking that anger out on both of them.

Ben always enjoyed a rough session, his submissive side thriving on Morgan's domination.

Morgan's blue pools looked up, watching the cameraman walk out of the bedroom, pulling a t-shirt over his muscular chest, smiling at him.

"You were very forceful tonight, Morgan. You surprised the hell out of Rico. A dom-boy like him dominated by a stronger master. Was hot to watch." the man smiled, Morgan filling his glass with another scotch.

"I needed to let off some steam. And that bastard needed to be put in his place. Fuck him and his job." the man said, sipping at his drink, sitting down on a bar stool at the bar.

The young cameraman smiled at him, leaning against a door frame.

"Carver really pissed you off, didn't he?"
The man stared at him.

"That young man's full of himself. He thinks because he has all those famous friends he's above us. He's nothing but a foreign half-rate singer." the man said, Ben staring at him.

"What's your real beef with him and his friends?"

"That's my business, Ben." the man said, Ben staring at him.

"Have it your way, Morgan. I'm going to head out and hit The Abbey. The night's still young and I need some more fun. Want to come?" the man said, Morgan looking at him.

"No thanks, I'm not in the mood for a gay bar." he said, Ben nodding his head.

"Any word from our friend?" Ben said, Morgan looking at him.

"He's supposed to touch base soon." Morgan said, Ben smiling at him.

"Cool. He was fun."

"Yeah, he was a submissive bitch." Morgan said, sipping his drink again.

"Careful, Morgan. He's bankrolling our endeavours." Ben said, Morgan staring at him.

"Want me to bring a friend back tonight? Or are you all steamed out?" Ben said, Morgan looking at him.

The young man's eyes were scanning Morgan's naked torso, the man wearing only a pair of khaki cargo shorts.

"I'm calling it a night, Ben. I'll call you tomorrow." Morgan said, the man sighing, Ben nodding his head.

"Okay, boss. Talk to you tomorrow." the man said, walking towards the door, Morgan's blue eyes following him.

The young man smiled at him, giving him a salute, walking out of the condo, closing the door behind him.

Morgan sighed again, leaning back against the couch, sipping his drink.

His hand reached into his pocket, pulling out his cell phone, staring at its small screen.

He read the text message again, the man having seen it when he'd walked out into the living room, picking up his phone off the bar where he'd left it earlier.

He sighed, a knock coming to his condo's door.

Morgan tossed his cell on the coffee table, rising up and walking up to the door.

He opened it, staring into two blue pools.

"You're now alone?" the man said, Morgan staring at him.

"Yeah, my fuck buddies left. Come in." the man said, opening the door, Bryce Hartwell walking into the condo, Morgan staring at him.

"I can smell the sex." he said, Morgan smiling at him.

"You should have been here. You would have enjoyed me even more. I was a tiger tonight." Morgan said, his hand going to Bryce's ass, kneading it as he walked up to him.

"I'm not here to feed your desires, Sheppard."
The man stared at him, walking over to the bar.

"So your text said. Drink?" he said, raising the scotch whiskey bottle.

"No thanks. We need to discuss our path forward." Bryce said, the reporter looking at the young man.

"Not happy with my services?" Morgan said, Bryce staring at him.

"Your services haven't yielded much. Other than showing Lucas in a stronger light. You went to the hospital?"

"Yeah, I was there." Morgan said, sitting down on one of the bar stools, seated in front of the standing man.

"And?"

"He didn't seem that fatigued or worse for wear, by my eyes. He was in a wheelchair, but he looked okay to me."

"I thought he was shot in the chest? You were there."

"He was, I saw that with my own eyes. Don't ask me why he seems okay now. He was surrounded by his friends."

"Josh Chasez was there?" Bryce said, Morgan staring at him.

"Yeah, him, Bass and Timberlake were there, as were two hot looking young guys. Maybe they're studs for hire." Morgan smiled, Bryce staring at him.

"Not likely." Bryce said, Morgan staring at him, leaning back against the bar.

"What's your story, Hartwell? Why do you have such a hate on for that young punk?"

"For the same reason you hate him. I don't like him where he is. And I want him out of the picture."

The reporter set down his glass, rising to his feet, walking up to Bryce.

"I think you need to come clean with me, Hartwell. I need to know what's going on. With him and you?" the man said, one of his hands moving, pulling the younger man against him.

Bryce felt the man's strong grip on his arm, the muscular man slightly bigger than him, and stronger.

"Do I have to fuck the truth out of you, bitch?" he said, Bryce staring at him.

"Careful, Sheppard. You'd hate to lose your gravy train when I have so much more to offer."

Morgan stared at him, the man's grip on the young man's arm softening.

"Alright, boss. It's your dime. But I don't like walking into situations blind. That's what happened today. Carver's physical presence today surprised the shit out of me. I don't like being made a fool." he said, Bryce staring at him.

"Alright, Sheppard. I'll tell you the truth as I see it, and then you're going to do something for me."

The man smiled, walking back and getting his highball glass, walking over to the couch, sitting down and staring at Bryce.

"Okay, Hartwell. Sit down and chew the fat." Morgan said, Bryce moving, sitting down beside Morgan.

"I want Lucas Carver out of the picture for one reason alone. And you're going to help me achieve that."
"And what do you want, Hartwell?"

Bryce stared at Morgan.

"I want Josh Chasez. And to get that, Lucas Carver has to disappear."
Morgan looked surprised, staring at Bryce.

"You mean. . .?"

Bryce's hand moved with a flash of speed, his fingers wrapping around Morgan's throat, the man surprised by the sudden strength he felt in the young man's powerful grip, the large man pushed back against the couch.

"Josh is mine. No young stud he's fucking is going to stop him from seeing who he really needs. And you're going to do as I say."
Morgan looked shocked, Bryce rising from his seat, pulling the larger man up to his feet, Bryce's other hand going to Morgan's center, grasping onto his manhood.

Morgan gasped, Bryce glaring at him.

"I'm going to pay you well, Morgan. For all your services. For the services I require from you. And tonight you need to really see who's boss." Bryce said, the man moving with a burst of speed, tossing Morgan onto the floor, the man shocked by the young man's aggression.

Within seconds Bryce was on top of the man, Morgan struggling against the young man's sudden domination.

Clothes began to tear, lips meeting.

Morgan looked into two blue pools, seeing a sinking cauldron of madness.

And then he felt a sudden pain.

Justin walked into the brightly lit room, Lucas smiling at him.

"Where's the posse?" he smiled, Justin smiling at him.

"You know Joshy. He's pruning himself. You'd think he was the star." Justin smiled, sitting down on the edge of Lucas' bed, the young man smiling at him.

"He's the star of our hearts, beautiful." Lucas said, Justin smiling, leaning forward and kissing Lucas' warm lips.

The two parted, Lucas seeing a lost look of calm happiness on Justin's beautiful face.

"I feel your returned passion, Lucas." he said, Lucas' fingers brushing his cheek.

"Your beauty--along with Lance's and my Joshua's--stirs my heart. I think Colton didn't have it all right." he said, Justin looking at him with a raised eyebrow.

"Josh isn't the only one going to be happy. Something tells me I may be a Timberlake snack easily. This prey can't run from you anymore."

Justin smiled, his blue eyes glancing down Lucas' body, looking towards his legs, his eyes returning to Lucas' violet pools.

"I would willingly lose that prey if it meant you could walk again, Lucas." he said, Lucas seeing the soft tears of love in his blue eyes.

"I know, Jus. I feel your love. But the path is as it is."
Justin nodded, smiling at him.

"We'll make the best of it." he smiled, Lucas smiling back.

"Everyone is at breakfast, in the cafeteria. I just came up from the briefing room. The media's almost set up." he said, Lucas nodding.

It was the next morning, Justin having organized the interview as Lucas had requested.

A room downstairs was filling up with reporters, a table set up in front of it, awaiting Lucas' press conference.

"How's the mood downstairs?" Lucas said, Justin looking at him.

"According to the staff the media is in high gear. Your having the interview is driving it hard. All the morning shows are filled with the news."
Lucas nodded, pushing back the tray from beside his bed, Justin seeing the empty plates, Lucas having just finished his own breakfast.

"How was it?"
"Rubbery and bland. I'd give anything for one of your egg omelettes."

Justin smiled, kissing Lucas' cheek.

"Your first breakfast at home will be in bed, the aroma to die for."
Lucas smiled, staring into Justin's blue pools.

"A special cream filling?"

Justin laughed, the door of the room opening, a bunch of smiling faces greeting the two men.

"Morning, Dad." Colton said, walking up to the bed, Josh's arm around him, Lucas smiling up at him and Colton.

"Morning, son. Morning, Papa."

Josh smiled, Justin rising from the bed, Josh taking his place, his and Lucas' lips meeting.

"I never knew dessert came with breakfast. Sweet!" Lucas said, Josh smiling at him.

"Fatty and filling." he said, Lucas smiling.

"But delicious, nonetheless. And the best part of a substandard meal."

Josh raised an eyebrow, Justin laughing, his hand in Lance's.

"He was referring to the hospital food, not your lips, Joshy." Justin grinned, Colton laughing, Josh smiling around at everyone.

"Good to hear." he said, Lucas kissing his lips again.

Everyone was smiling when Doctor Welby walked into the room.

"Here's the star of the show. All ready for your close-up, Mr. De Mille?"

Lucas smiled, Pierce smiling at him.

"Better lambaste me with a pound of makeup. That close-up will show my wrinkles."

Everyone laughed, Pierce smiling at his patient, his face then showing a look of guarded concern.

"If you find this too much I'll end it fast, Lucas. Your welfare and recovery are the most important things." Pierce said, Lucas smiling at him.

The door opened again, Lucas' family and friends walking into the room.

He smiled, everyone staring at him with surprise.

The young man seemed to radiate calmness and love, his face a vision of smiling calm love, his violet eyes sparkling.

"Morning everyone." He said, everyone staring at him with soft surprise, Finn walking up to the bed.

"Josh. . .Josh told us about the new you, Luke. But this is. . .is. . ." he stuttered, Lucas' hand going in his.

"Amazing, Finn?"
Finn nodded his head slowly, Lucas pulling him down into his arms, his friend hugging him tightly.

"Oh, Luke! I'm so glad. . .!" He said, Lucas rubbing his back, everyone surrounding the two men smiling with tearful smiles.

"I'm the glad one, Finny. I had to nearly die to cop a feel of your hot, sweet ass." Lucas said, his hand rubbing Finn's left butt cheek, pinching it.

Finn burst into laughter, backing away from his friend, his face covered in tears of happiness.

"I'll turn the other cheek so you can have all of it!" he said, Lucas laughing, the young Welshman standing up again.

Everyone took turns hugging the young man, Lucas feeling all their love.

Lucas' parents and grandparents all kissed his cheeks, Emerson the last to hug his grandson.

"I love you, Lucas. It is so wonderful to see your smiling face filled with life again." he said, Lucas brushing a tear away from his grandfather's cheek.

"The love around me warms my soul, Grandfather. It is the happiness of my life. Of all our lives."
Pierce smiled, seeing the love everyone around the young man had for him.

"You have the best medicine around you, Lucas." he said, Lucas smiling at him.

"The greatest wonder of life is the surprise of love." he said, Pierce smiling at him, Lucas' violet pools staring directly at him.

The moment was interrupted by the room's door opening again, Grayson and Judge Navarro walking into the room.

Emerson smiled at his old friend, Grayson's face showing a look of radiant, calm happiness.

Lucas smiled at both men, the two walking up to the bed.

Judge Navarro smiled down at the young man, Lucas staring into his sparkling blue eyes.

"I need to voice some words, Lucas." the judge said, Lucas smiling at him with a soft blush.

Josh smiled, seeing his usual reluctance at someone thanking him.

"No words need saying, Judge Navarro. For life or for love. I give both to you with my own returned." Lucas said, the judge's blue pools tearing up.

"It's. . .it's just Gabriel, Lucas. Your love warrants our friendship." the man said, Grayson smiling at his lover.

Pierce stared at the two men, looking confused.

Justin leaned in, whispering to the doctor, Lance quietly talking with him as well.

"You. . .you saved. . ." the judge softly said, staring at Lucas, Lucas seeing the tears welling in his eyes.

"I stopped your being hurt, others as well. I will always do that for anyone regardless of anything." the young man said, Gabriel staring at him.

"You are love personified. What you've given me. . .my Gray. . .our love. . ." he said, everyone hearing his emotions.

Grayson's arm went around his soulmate, his blue eyes staring down at Lucas.

"Lucas. . .I. . ." he softly said, Lucas smiling at him.

"Life is a path of journeys. Some take us on other paths, that life joining where it finds the love. That's all that's happened. You've both found your happiness. That in itself was worth any risk."
The two men teared up, Grayson staring at Lucas.

"Your letter. . .your words. . .the truth. . ."

"A path for later on, Gray. We walk as we must." Lucas said, his eyes  meeting Justin's again.

"Let's get this show on the road, Jus. I think I need to look a little more together." he said, Josh smiling at him.

"I've brought you a new gown, and some toiletries." Pierce smiled, the doctor having carried in a small bag.

"Great. Does this one open in the front or the back? How big of a show am I giving?" Lucas said, everyone laughing, Finn grinning.

"He's back!" he laughed, Lucas smiling at his friend.

"In all ways, Finny. In all ways!" Lucas smiled, his mind on something else.

Forward we all go.

It starts today.

I know now where I'm walking.

Lucas smiled, Josh kissing his cheek again.

End of Chapter 130

And so Lucas has healed himself again.

Well, most of himself.

His legs are still dead weights, but I don't think that will slow him down.

He seems more resolved and confident.

A shadowy round room and a waterfall pool of love have enlivened his spirits and soul.

He seems on a mission.

And Bryce seems on one as well.

His sights are on Josh again, Lucas the only obstacle in the way.

What are his plans?
And what will Morgan do for him?

It seems the submissive Bryce Hartwell is hardening himself.

A hardened man is a dangerous man.

On we go.

An interview of truth ahead.

And then a return for Lucas to his much loved home.

Greater things lay ahead.

Let me lead the way.

Hugs, Angel.
