Caleb Chapter 42 Before Jerry left, Caleb started to prepare their evening meal and was standing in the kitchen still only in boxers when Jerry came through to say good bye. "I'm about to go now. Look, I'm sorry if I've upset you by refusing your offer, but I just wouldn't feel right doing it that way." Jerry said. "You haven't upset me, but it did sound a bit like Sheils got upset over it." Caleb said. "She was upset because she thought she had upset me with it. I'm not upset and I've told her that. I think it's really special that you two care so much about each other that you'd do that sort of thing just to make the other happy. I'm not so sure I'd go that far for Carol." Jerry said. "Don't worry about it then. It wasn't a done deal anyway. I've asked Mark how he feels about it and he hasn't given me his answer yet." Caleb told Jerry. "Okay then, I'll see you guys tomorrow. I'll just go and say bye to Sheila and then let myself out. Thanks for being so understanding." "Not a problem. Catch you tomorrow." Caleb raised a fist to bump knuckles with Jerry, but Jerry moved in closer and pulled him into a hug. "You're a good guy Caleb Matthews and I like you a lot." Jerry said softly into his ear, as they hugged. About ten minutes later Caleb heard the front door click shut as Jerry left. With the chicken breasts baking in the oven, Caleb went through to check if Sheila needed any assistance and found her dabbing her eyes as best as her tortured hands could do it. "Hey, what's up Sheils?" "I've made such a fool of myself with Jerry, and now he must think the worst of me." Sheila said. "No ways! Jerry loves you and people do not think the worst of those they love. I think he was touched that you cared enough to try and arrange something to help him feel good." Caleb tried to comfort Sheila, but the tears kept trickling down her cheeks. Caleb sat down on the bed next to her and started to rub her arm in an attempt to sooth her. After a while she began to get a bit more composed and Caleb suggested they move to the lounge. He lifted her into her chair, still naked like the other day, and wheeled her through. They did a bit of channel hopping until they found something they both wanted to watch and settled back to enjoy what the tele had to offer. The distraction of the television did help Sheila to calm down and by the time that dinner was ready, the two were talking and joking like they always did. On Saturday, about mid-morning, Mark and his parents arrived at Caleb's house. Both Caleb and Mark had not been told about this meeting which the parents had arranged to discuss what they were happy with letting Mark and Caleb do while Judy took Sheila to the hospital. The decision they agreed on was that the Millers would have Caleb go to their house from school and he would eat with them. Then after dinner, Alf would take him and Mark to Caleb's house where they would spend the night. Alf would be given a key to the house while Judy and Sheila were away. Jerry would be given Alf's phone number and if he found a problem when he called by to join them in walking to school, he would phone Alf immediately. A quick phone call to Jerry confirmed that he was willing to do this, and that he was confident that nothing would go amiss. Mark's parents were more concerned that Mark and Caleb would go to bed too late and not wake up in time to get to school. There were a few conditions put into this arrangement as well. One being that if Mark and Caleb were late or missed school then Caleb would spend the remaining nights at the Miller's home. Another was that once Alf dropped them off at Caleb's home, they were not to leave it until they left for school the next morning. If there was an emergency they were to remain at the house and call Alf who would tell them what they were to do. Once the plans had been agreed and Mark had brought in an air mattress for him to use in Caleb's room, Alf and Gail left, leaving Mark behind to spend some time with Caleb. He would walk home later in the day. Before he left, Alf turned to Judy and said, "I've taken the morning off work and will take you to the train station and make sure that you get helped on. Text me your expected time back and I or Gail will be there to pick you up." "Thank you, that'll be a big help. You don't have to do it though; we can always get a taxi." Judy responded. "Even if they're paying for the taxi, you would still need the money up front and who knows how long it will take for them to give you the money back. This way, you have the money for the taxi at the other end." Alf said, "And I'm quite glad to have a good excuse to take some time off." After Gail and Alf had driven away, the remaining four were sitting in the lounge chatting. "You know if someone had told me all this would be happening a few months ago, I would not have believed them. But look now, you two both have partners who have great parents, there is something happening about a care package. And I might be able to start working normal hours instead of these hours where I hardly get to see you, Caleb." Judy said. "Not only do we have boyfriends, but we have several other friends too who also have great parents. We hear these stories about how parents don't understand their kids and here we have loads who really do understand not only their kids but us as well." Sheila said. "Yes, and before we all get to weeping in joy, this kid is going to take his boyfriend and go for a walk. We'll be back in time for lunch." Caleb said, standing up and putting out his hand to help pull Mark up. The two left Sheila and her mum still chatting about how things had changed so much. Once they were out of the house, Mark said, "You know what you guys were saying in there is so true. But just think about how it all started. We stopped you to basically rob you of anything that was valuable. Instead of getting something we could sell we got something which is far more valuable and has made all our lives so much better; especially me." "Why especially you?" Caleb asked. "Because I got a boyfriend." Mark replied. "And so, did Sheils and I." Caleb countered. "Yeah, that's true. But the boyfriend I got is the one person who turned all of us around and brought out the best in us. You and Sheila only got a couple of reformed crooks." Mark said. "Don't put yourselves down. That gang and holding people up was never really in any of your bloods. That's why you were able to give it up so easily. It really was just a game you were playing for some kicks." Caleb said. The two walked on past Graeme's house and towards the green. "Do you really want to do sex stuff with Natasha?" Mark asked. "I really want to do sex stuff with you. But I would also like to help Natasha and if her therapist has said it might be good for her to try it, then I'd like to help her with that. At least if she says to stop then I know I'll stop. I won't be forcing anything on her, where some other guy, she maybe could ask, might. Does this mean you've made a decision?" Caleb answered. "Yeah. I also think that as the therapist has said it might help her, you should help Natasha. I'd like to be involved, but only if she says it's okay. I think you should be alone with her for the first few times at least and see how she copes and what she thinks about having an added presence. I also know that she might tell you some things which you can't share with me and that's okay too." Mark told Caleb. "Thank you for being so understanding. I think she might just like having you there sometimes too. I'll talk to her about it." Caleb said. "And with Jerry, because it is gay action, I want to be in on it too. I think that if we help him out together then I'll cope with it. Otherwise, I think I'll be so jealous it could spoil our relationship and also my friendship with Jerry." Mark said. "Sheils told Jerry that she had asked me to help him out and he turned it down outright. He said that it would feel like I'm just being used to satisfy people's sex needs. So that won't be happening as a planned thing. If it happens when we have a group meeting then it happens but it will not be an arranged sex relief op." Caleb told Mark. "Good old Jerry. I respect him even more now. I sort of felt that that is what was happening to you. First there was Carol, and then Jasmine got in on the scene and they had you giving them both at the same time. Then Natasha asked and then Sheila. I can understand Natasha and Sheila and why they've asked. But the other two has to simply be them satisfying their own desires. "While it might have been them using me, I wasn't being forced and I didn't object. And I certainly didn't feel like I was being used." Caleb said. "That doesn't alter the fact that that's the way it looked to both Jerry and me." Mark said. "But I'm glad you're okay with it all and at least you're not being abused by them." "Yeah, I can't say that I've not enjoyed it all. I do enjoy it much more when I'm with you, but then we both know that it's still nice to be helped by someone else. Better than doing it yourself, anyway." Caleb agreed. "I hope you agree that the airbed and sleeping bag are just for show to keep the `rents happy. I don't intend to be sleeping apart from you." Mark said. "I was surprised when you brought it in. I mean, I know we don't have one, but I had just assumed we'd squeeze into my bed together." Caleb assured Mark. "I've never actually slept all night in the same bed with someone else, let alone doing it naked." Mark admitted. "Me neither, but I'm looking forward to it." Caleb said. "No, wait, I do remember when I was about five or six I sometimes slept with Sheils, but then we both had pjs on and that doesn't really count like this time is going to." "I know it is only the day after tomorrow, but it seems so far away still. I can't wait to see what it is like to spend that time with the freedom to really be ourselves together." Mark said. "The trouble is these next couple of days are going to seem to go very slowly and then the four or five days that mum and Sheils are away are going to whizz by with not enough time to do all we want to." Caleb said. On Sunday evening, after Caleb had helped Judy to pack for both Sheila and herself the three were sitting in the lounge and Judy was giving some final instructions to Caleb about what he needed to do. Caleb thought she had come to an end when she paused for a while but then she began again, "Don't for one moment think that I don't know that the airbed and sleeping bag are not going to be used. There's nothing I could do to prevent that happening but I'm concerned that you will not rest well with the two of you trying to squeeze into your bed. So I will make an allowance this time. You can use the double bed in my room while I'm away. But you must change the bed linen before we get back. At least then you should have enough room to sleep more comfortably and get better rest." "Wow! Really? Thanks mum; you're the best!" Caleb, jumped up and gave his mother a strong hug. "I'm going to miss you guys." "No you won't. You'll be too busy prancing around in the altogether with Mark." Sheila teased. "That doesn't mean I'll not miss you still." Caleb said, not trying to hide the fact that Sheila had just let out of the bag one of the things that was going to happen when the two were alone together for the night. "Just remember to keep yourself safe, and `no' really does mean `no'." Judy said. Caleb knew he should have been embarrassed by his mum's tacit acknowledgement that they were going to have some sexual fun while she and Sheila were away. Instead he found it a comfort to know that his mother had not only accepted that he was gay, but also was willing to give him some independence to make his decisions on just what he could or couldn't do. What Caleb did not really understand was that his mother knew that he was mature beyond his physical age and the situation they were in had instilled in him a greater sense of responsibility than many a young adult had. When Caleb went to bed that evening, he found sleep hard to come by. He was anxious over what Sheila would have to go through and what the outcome of it all would be. He should have been excited about Mark coming to be with him every night for four nights, but that didn't come into his head that night time. He was worried that Sheila would come home totally flattened because all they did was investigate her current state and would not look to see if there was anything that could be done to help her gain any movement and control back. Or that they would tell her that it had been too long and now there was no chance of any further recovery other than what she had already achieved. On Monday morning, Caleb got up and got ready for school as he usually did, but this particular morning felt strange to him. He knew that for the first time in his life he was not going to see any other member of his family for five days after he left the house to walk to school. Although normally, Sheila would be left sleeping in the morning, Judy had woken her up and got her washed and dressed in time to say good bye to Caleb before he left. They too, were in a sombre mood. There was the uncertainty of what they would find at the hospital as well as the pain of leaving Caleb behind. On the way to school, Caleb told Mark that he was going to try and get alone with Natasha at the first break to tell her the decision and discuss a few things with her. Mark said he was okay with that and they split to go to their different classes. Just before he got to his class Caleb caught up with Natasha and just said, "Same place as last time, first break." This brought some curious expressions to the faces of some who were close enough to hear his instruction and a quick thinking Natasha said, "It's a date for Friday then." Throwing the eaves-droppers a curve ball to put them off the truth. Natasha's curve ball worked and the two were not followed when they separately made their way to their meeting point. Natasha got there first and as Caleb approached she looked to be rather nervous. Caleb didn't waste any time and began to speak, rather quickly, "Okay, if you still want my help, you've got it. Mark has given his permission because he wants to help you in any way he can too. I promise you that I will not do anything you don't want me to do. And if we start and you find you can't do it then say so and I'll stop. You won't owe me anything so there is no pressure for you to allow anything I might suggest or feel you have to do something for me in return. Mark has said he would like to be involved too, but only if you want it. At least for the first few times I think it should be just us two. Then you can decide if you want to add to it. There are two things I need to know before we start. Firstly, will you be prepared to get fully naked and secondly are you expecting me to get naked too? Also we will need to work out how and where we are going to get together as I don't think we live that close to each other, and also I have my sister to take care of after school." "Thank you. This is really exciting. I'll think about Mark joining in later. Mum will help us with getting together and will either pick you up and bring you to my house or will bring me to yours, whichever is best at the time." Natasha said and leaned in to give Caleb a hug. "Your mother is going to know we are doing it, then?" Caleb asked. "Yes, the therapist spoke to her before she suggested it to me and my mum agreed. When the therapist suggested it to me my mum asked me what I thought of the idea and I told her I wanted to try it and had the right person in mind to try it with. When you told me about Mark, I was really worried that he would say he didn't want it to happen, and I'd have to try and find another person. Do you mind if I thank Mark myself?" Natasha asked. "No. I think he'd be touched by that. Have you thought that with your mum delivering you to my house or picking me up, both my sister and my mum will have to know what I'm doing. Maybe not the details but the general idea." Caleb said and grinned at the last sentence. "I thought you would have told them already." Natasha said. "Sheils kind of knows because she overheard me discussing it with Mark, but I don't think my mother has any idea at all." Caleb said. "Well I think you'd best tell your mum because I know my mum is going to want to talk to her about it too. We are both underage to start with." Natasha said. "That's fine, I can talk to my mum and also Sheils when they get back, and by then we might have come up with some days and times to do it." Caleb agreed. "Where are your mum and sister then?" Natasha asked. "They've gone to a special hospital up north for them to examine Sheils and find out if there is any chance they can help her." Caleb said. "But please, it's very secret and the only other people who know about this are Jerry and Mark. You can't even tell your parents yet. Okay?" "I can understand Mark knowing, but how come Jerry knows?" Natasha asked. "He's Sheil's boyfriend." Caleb said. "Look, I'm sorry, I can't tell you anymore and I need to stop talking about it before I say something I really shouldn't." "You know I can keep a secret as well as you can so I'll wait until you can tell me more. But I will talk to mum about arranging some times. How long are they away for? I guess you can at least tell me that?" Natasha said. "Most of the week." Caleb answered. "What are you doing then, staying at home by yourself? Maybe you could come and stay with me." Natasha offered. "I'm staying with Mark." Caleb told her. He didn't tell her that the staying together would be at his house for a good part of the time. "Break is nearly up. Tell me when you've told your mum about this and then I'll get my mum to speak to yours." Natasha said and they began to walk back to the class they would be attending next.
