Caleb Chapter 52 Both Natasha and Caleb went into the meeting with a serious case of the nerves. Both mothers had not really let on to either of the teens what they wanted to discuss at the meeting. Nor that the main reason for the meeting was for the two mothers to have an opportunity to get to know each other and the other's child. Also, rather than learning intimate details the mothers intended for the meeting to be a time to let them work out the logistical details. Judy had arranged with Jerry that he would take Sheila out for the afternoon so that Natasha and Sarah could know that they could speak freely. Both mothers were very pleased with the meeting. They saw how both the teens were quite nervous at the start, and how they relaxed the more they got into the meeting. From their responses the mothers were assured that both children were approaching their future activity with a responsible attitude and a determination that it should be done in a way that would be acceptable to both of them. Sarah came away very impressed with the boy Natasha had chosen for this somewhat unorthodox therapy. Judy was confident that Natasha wasn't just using Caleb to achieve what she had actually enjoyed with her father and friends. Both Caleb and Natasha came away from the meeting relieved and a bit excited. Their first trial time was going to be that evening at Natasha's home. Caleb was going to go home with the Everett's and stay the night. Sarah, Natasha's mother would run Caleb home Sunday morning as he needed to be home in time to allow Judy to go to work. Caleb borrowed Natasha's mobile phone so that he could go to his room and phone Mark to explain what was happening and invite him to come round the next day. A result of their getting together at school, Mark and Natasha had exchanged phone numbers and so Caleb just needed to call it up. Caleb would have loved to have a mobile of his own, but he knew that with their finances the family could not afford a single mobile, let alone one each. After letting Mark know what was happening, Caleb packed a few things for the night and re-joined the others in the lounge. The phone rang and Caleb answered it. After a short greeting, Caleb asked his mother, "Mum, can Sheila and Jerry come in now? They're at the door." "You've nothing more to say that you want kept private have you?" Judy asked both Sarah and Natasha. When she received a positive answer she told Caleb, "Yes, they can come in." Judy had already explained that the two had gone out to ensure complete privacy for the meeting, but had also explained that they had some idea of what it was about. Caleb went to the door and helped Jerry with getting Sheila in and then introduced them to Sarah and Natasha. There was a definite look of shock on their faces as they saw Sheila in her wheelchair. That she was disabled had not been mentioned. Mainly because neither Caleb nor Judy ever felt the need to explain it. It was a fact and that was that. Both Sarah and Natasha were polite enough not to ask questions in front of Sheila, but Natasha was quick to start asking when they were in the car on the way home. Caleb told them what had happened and their new hopes for Sheila now. He also told them that they could not talk about it outside of the three of them as there was still an investigation going on. After Caleb had finished, Natasha said, "I can't believe that we didn't know anything about all this before. You certainly know how to keep secrets. And Jerry? Is he dating Sheila?" "Yeah. They hit it off the first time they met and it was only a matter of days before Jerry was going out with Sheils." Caleb confirmed. "That is quite something. You don't usually get the chance to see something like that; a young man taking on someone who is disadvantaged." Sarah said. "You don't need to answer this, but does Jerry bring you lunch to school because you guys can't afford it?" Natasha asked. "Well, mum can only work when I can be home to be with Sheils, and the kind of work that mum can get in those times doesn't pay too well. But lately she's been able to get some extra overtime working on Sunday's and that has helped a bit. So, yeah, Jerry makes out he just brought more than he wants but I know that he purposely brings more for me." Caleb told them. "And that's why you don't have a mobile or computer?" Natasha asked. "Actually I do have a laptop now. Graeme's father got one that his work were throwing away and gave it us. Then Ewan's dad gave us a printer, but we can't afford mobile phones yet." Caleb answered. As they pulled into the driveway of the Everett's home, Caleb's jaw dropped. He knew that there was some money in their family but he hadn't realised that they lived in a huge house on big grounds. It wasn't a manor house but it was considerably bigger than the house Caleb lived in. Natasha led Caleb inside and then Sarah explained, "There is a little annex on the side where we thought you two might be more comfortable so I'll let Nat take you there and you can put your bag down and then she can show you round. After that we'll have an early tea and I'll leave the two of you alone." The `little' annex was bigger than Caleb's whole house. Sarah had had it redecorated in preparation for Natasha's therapy sessions. The kitchenette had been stocked with milk, juice and biscuits, as well as some tea, coffee and sugar. There was a door from the kitchenette which led out into the back garden. Natasha showed Caleb the way out before showing him the rest of the annex. At the other end of an expanse of lawn, about a hundred and fifty meters from the house was what looked like a ruin to Caleb. He asked what it was. "Oh that was a cottage. It's where dad would do his stuff with me, so mum decided that it would be better to pull it down and put something else there that wouldn't keep reminding me of what happened there." Natasha explained. Natasha led Caleb back into the annex and through the main reception room that could easily host a group of thirty or forty people. In one corner was a spiral staircase which the two teens ascended next. This staircase opened out onto a landing with two doors off it. Natasha opened one door and showed Caleb that it was fitted out as a bedroom. It had a small bathroom ?nsuite which made the room bigger than Judy's bedroom. They went through the second door from the landing into a much bigger bedroom with a king size bed in the middle of the floor. Under a large bay window was a Davenport sofa; easily long enough for them both to lie on. The bathroom had a spa bath with both warm water and air jets and Natasha promised Caleb he would get a chance to experience it. Next to the tub was a multi-jet shower big enough for two grown people to use comfortably together. There were also `his' and `hers' wash hand basins and a separate toilet. Alongside the bathroom was the first of two walk in dressing rooms; again fitted out as `his' and `hers'. Natasha said that once they knew Caleb's sizes and preferences, he would have a small amount of clothing provided for his use when he stayed. "This is amazing. It's so big!" Caleb exclaimed. "Wait till you see the rest of the house." Natasha said. She suggested Caleb leave his bag in the `his' dressing room and guided him back into the main house. The tour of the house took nearly half an hour and Natasha did not show him all the rooms. She took him around the ground floor showing him two lounges, each bigger than their lounge and kitchen combined. The two rooms had very wide double doors between them and when opened basically turned them into one room. Then into a dining room with a table that could seat ten and leave room around it for servants to attend to the dinner guests. Off the dining room was a serving room where food could be brought from the kitchen and dished up onto individual plates before being carried through and placed before each diner. The kitchen left Caleb glad that he didn't have to wash that floor as it was easily four times bigger than the kitchen at his home. There was also a large conservatory off one of the lounges which looked like it would be lovely and warm even on the coldest winter's day. Natasha took Caleb back through the dining room and one lounge to the entrance hall so that they could go up the stairs to the next level. On this level were a number of bedrooms. One of which was Sarah's but Caleb was not shown into any of these. It was just pointed out where the bathroom and toilet were should he be this side of the house and need it. They went up another flight of stairs to the second floor where Natasha showed him two more rooms before taking him into her own room. This room wasn't quite as big as the larger room in the annex, but it was bigger than both his and Sheila's rooms put together. Natasha had a double bed with surround sound speakers linked into a full entertainment system. A large television mounted on the wall opposite the foot of the bed was also connected into her computer so that she could sit in bed and do her homework and then send it to the printer. She also enjoyed having her own bathroom with both a tub and shower; albeit not a spa bath and the shower could fit two; but they would be rather close to each other. She also had a walk in wardrobe that was well stocked. "I'll be moving some of my stuff into the annex over the next few weeks too. As we see how things are going and what I need." "Who does the cleaning here?" Caleb asked. He had noticed that the house was very clean and where wooden floors were not covered with carpets, they shone with a high polish. "Oh, there are two ladies who come in every morning from Monday to Friday to do the house. Then we have a cook who prepares all the meals. We also have two gardeners who do the grounds and such like, during the week. None of them work at the weekends unless there is something special going on." Natasha explained. "Wow! I wouldn't mind having someone to do our cleaning and gardening some times." Caleb said. "What kind of job did your dad have?" "Oh he was just a sales rep. The money is from mum's family. Great grandpa was in banking and was able to finance grandpa to start a small business. Grandpa was very good at business and now it's a multinational company that mum is a director of. Mum's brother is the managing director and he makes sure that mum and I are taken care of." Natasha explained. "Right it must be nearly tea time so let's go and find mum and see what gives." They went back down to the ground floor and Natasha took Caleb to a part she hadn't yet shown him. It was two smallish rooms, by the house's standards, behind the main staircase. One room was her mother's study where she did her work for the company from, and the other was called a snug, but was as big as Caleb's lounge. They found Sarah there reading a book. "Right, are you ready to eat?" Sarah asked looking up as they entered the room. "Yes please mum." Natasha answered. "Okay, I have our meal ready. Francois made a good looking stew for us for tonight. I think you'll enjoy it Caleb." Sarah said; putting her book aside she stood up and the three of them went through to the dining room. Sarah left them there and went on through to the kitchen where the stew was simmering in the oven. There were also dumplings to go with it. Sarah dished up a large serving for Caleb and two slightly smaller servings for herself and Natasha. Once again, Caleb's eyes nearly popped out of his head. "Oh, I don't think I can eat that much." He exclaimed. "That's fine. Eat what you can and the dogs will have the rest." Sarah told him. "Dogs?" Caleb asked as he hadn't seen or heard any the whole time he was being shown around. "We have three dogs and four cats. The dogs are already in their kennels which is why you haven't heard them. You met one cat in my room and I'm guessing the others are in mum's room. They like it there." Natasha told Caleb. The food really was good and although Caleb ate more than he would have had at home, he still couldn't finish what Sarah had dished up for him. When Sarah started to ask them about desert, Caleb said that he couldn't fit another mouthful in. "Well, why don't you both dish up a serving for yourselves and put it in the fridge in the annex and then you can have it when you're ready, later on." Sarah suggested and both Natasha and Caleb were happy to do that. They served themselves up a reasonable helping of fruit salad and ice-cream to take through to the annex. "Right, I'll leave you two now. If I need to come in I'll ring the bell and give you a minute before I open the door. However, if I hear either of you screaming or crying, I'll be right up. Caleb, I believe I can trust you. This wouldn't be happening if I didn't believe that. Nat, you treat Caleb right, you know what he's told you he's not prepared to do. Don't try and get him to do that." Sarah said. She then stepped over to Caleb and pulled him into a hug. "Thank you seems so inadequate for what you are doing for Nat. But at the moment that's all I've got to offer." Stepping over to Natasha she pulled her into a hug and then kissed her on her forehead. "Have a good time Nat, but remember it's not something you have to do and if you find it too hard just tell Caleb and I'm sure he'll do what you want." The two left and went through the door into the annex closing it behind them. After putting their desert into the fridge, they went up to the big bedroom. Natasha went over and sat on the bed, "I don't know how things are going to work out. I know that part of me hopes we will sleep in the same bed, but you might have noticed that the bed in the other bedroom is made up and ready. If we want, one of us can use that bed." "Natasha, or would you prefer me to call you Nat?" Caleb asked. "Please call me Nat. Dad always used my full name when he was doing stuff to me, so I think it would be better to use the short one. In fact, both mum and dad always used the full name and its only since mum found out that she started to call me Nat. She has decided that we need to change a lot of things. She's even moved into a different room than the one she and dad slept in. Sometimes I think this has been harder for mum than me." Natasha said. "Yeah, sometimes I think mum has struggled more than Sheils over her accident. Now, if all you want to do tonight is talk that's okay with me too. I want you to tell me what you want or need. I'll then do my best to help you. So you call the shots. Not just tonight but every time." Caleb said. "How did you turn out so nice after all you've been through? Look at me; I became a right prima donna bitch with a capital `B'. It's only since you guys made friends with me that I've got better." "I think that's because I had the support of my mum and sister and we were all in it together. All trying to make the best for all of us in whatever way we could. But you had no support. I'm guessing you didn't think you could go to your mother about it and who else was there. It's not exactly something you would talk about with your friends." Caleb suggested. "Shit a heart with brains. Why do you have to be gay? I think I could enjoy a relationship with you." Natasha said. "We might not become a couple, but we're already friends and I think we can enjoy that relationship just as much." "Perhaps in more different ways than most friends would too. You know just saying that we're friends' feels so nice. All those girls I used hang with were never really friends. Look at them; not a single one is still with me." "Nat, I'm sorry it's happened like that. But at least now you have got some true friends. Friends who even get upset with you and for you. Look at Graeme's reaction the other week. And look at what you did for him. That's what being a friend is all about. It's not who is the prettiest or has the most money or anything like that. It's caring about and for each other." Caleb said. "And now, a philosopher too. No wonder Mark has got his hooks into you." Natasha said. "Well, I'm not complaining." Caleb grinned. "You don't need to answer this. But is he as good looking without his clothes on as he is with?" Natasha asked. "Definitely even better. At least I think so." Caleb said and grinned some more, with a slight blush to compliment his expression. "The more we talk the more jealous of Mark I'm getting. So perhaps we should move onto something more. Do you want to be naked when we do stuff?" "Nat, like I said before, you are calling the shots for this. I don't know what you were put through and what would be good and what might be painful. Maybe even you don't. But if you want me to be naked, then I'll be naked. If you want me to undress or let you undress me doesn't matter, whatever you want. If you ask me to do something I don't want to do, I promise I'll tell you. If I think of something I might suggest it, but it will be up to you if we try it. Our being together like this is to try and help you work through all the mess that's been made in your head by what happened. So say it and I'll do it." Caleb said.
