The gentle tap on the front door was just audible enough for TJ to hear. He turned the volume down on the speakers attached to his laptop and proceeded to open the door. Peering out into the darkness, he didn't see anyone. As TJ was about to close the door, a faint "good night" emerged from the blackness of the night. He flicked the light switch, throwing on the porch light and quickly chasing the darkness away. Emerging from the fleeing darkness was the tall, dark, slim frame of his best friend, Chase. "There you are," TJ said as he stepped outside to greet his buddy. They exchanged pleasantries and idle chatter about nothing in particular, each inquiring about hoe the other was doing. After a while, TJ invited Chase inside, leading the way into the living room. As chase entered, he closed the door behind him. TJ motioned him to take the chair beside him around the table where the computer screens displayed videos , pictures and on one particular machine, a screensaver depicting a waterfall. Chase took off his backpack and set it down at his feet and proceeded to make himself comfortable around the table. "If you want you can use this laptop," TJ said, motioning to one of the computers on the table. Chase took the mouse and proceeded to make a few clicks. Throughout the evening Chase and TJ hardly spoke, each man concentrating on their computer screens. Every now and then they would acknowledge each other, asking what they thought of a particular video, or picture or program on the computer. Their exchanges were usually curt, as what's on the screen seemed more urgent than an actual conversation. Things took an unexpected turn when TJ leaned over to look at Chase's screen, asking what he was looking at. Chase attempted to click away the picture he was staring at. But it was too late. TJ caught an eyeful of the shirtless, muscular guy that was on the screen. "Nothing, just browsing through some sites," Chase retorted. "Do you like what you see?" TJ asked. "Not really," replied Chase, as he resumed flipping through the pictures. "So you like muscular guys?" asked TJ. Chase paused what he was doing and looked over to TJ. Their eyes met and they stared at each other for an awkward moment, perhaps half a minute or so. The moment in time seemed much longer to both. "Not really," Chase replied, turning around to face TJ. They awkwardly continued to watch each other. Then together they moved closer to each other ... until their lips met. They seemed unsure of what to do at first. Then TJ took the lead, kissing softly, persistently. Chase responded apprehensively at first, but then gave in, their tongues intertwining. When they broke apart to catch their breath, TJ got up from his chair, adjusting himself to try and conceal his arousal. Chase held his hand. Then he stood up and turned to face TJ. The two men were almost the same height. It didn't take them long to get back to kissing. Chase stepped in closer, their bodies making contact as their lips connected. "I've wanted to do that for so long," TJ said as he broke from kissing Chase. "So what took you so long," Chase replied. TJ just looked at Chase, a faint smile on his face. He leaned in once again, and kissed his best friend. Chase cupped TJ's face and yielded to the passion of the moment. A knock on the door jolted the kissing friends from their sultry embrace. As chase sat down, picking up his backpack and putting it in his lap to hide his excitement, TJ adjusted himself, making sure the bulge wouldn't be too obvious. As he opened the door, he looked back over his shoulder to make sure Chase was alright. The visitor at the door spoke with TJ, the conversation hushed enough so that Chase could not hear. TJ was trying to hurry his visitor off so he could return to what he was doing. But it was apparently something that needed his urgent intervention. He told Chase he would be back shortly, as he stepped into a pair of flip-flops, picked up a flashlight from the table and closed the door behind him, leaving with the visitor. When TJ returned he stepped inside and closed the door behind him. He walked over to Chase and hugged him from behind. "Shall we resume what we were doing before? TJ asked. "I'd love to, TJ, but I must be leaving. I got something I need to do before it gets later." Chase stood up and TJ pulled him into an embrace. "Don't go," TJ said. "I need to go, but I will be back tomorrow. We can pick up where we left off then," Chase said. He proceeded to pick up his backpack. When Chase had put on his backpack, TJ leaned in and kissed him again. "You are making it hard to leave," Chase said. TJ continued to kiss his friend, and as he did, his hand moved down to caress Chase's butt. A slight squeeze caused a faint moan from Chase. "I got to go, TJ," Chase said and be broke away from the embrace. "I'm so turned on right now. Can't you stay a little while longer?" TJ asked. "I wish I could, TJ. But be patient, we can continue tomorrow," said Chase. As he walked to the door, Chase paused for a moment. Then he turned around to look at TJ. He slowly walked back to where TJ was standing. As he took TJ's hand into his own, Chase looked him straight in the eyes. "It was worth waiting for," he said as he watched TJ's lips parted in a smile. "Thank you," said TJ. "No thanks necessary," replied Chase and he leaned in and kissed TJ one more time. Then he turned away and walked to the door. He slowly opened the door and stepped outside. As he closed the door behind him, TJ sat down slowly on the chair in front of him. "What just happened here?" he asked out loud. A moment later, his cell phone vibrated. TJ picked up the phone and looked at the message that came in. A smile blanketed TJ's face. "You are a good kisser," the message read. "Thank you," TJ entered on the keypad on his phone. He hesitated just a moment, before he pressed the send button. He smiled happily as he set the phone down on the table. The End(Author's Note: I appreciate your feedback on the story.
