Comments preecherdave@gmail.com I really enjoyed writing this chapter. I had unfinished business with Mark's relationship with Liz and Mark's position in the office. Then it was challenging to write the arrival and final scene in Thomas Corbett's office in Buffalo. Hope that you enjoy the chapter as much as I did writing it. Previously Now it was Robert who had wet eyes. Lucas grabbed him and gently had him lie down on the bed. Lucas spread Robert's legs and climbed between them. "I have always said that you may be smaller but your body is perfection." He leaned down and kissed him gently. The kiss was intimate and loving. Robert's hands were all over Lucas back and then over his chest. He loved pinching Lucas' nipples. Seconds later, Robert knew exactly what Lucas was feeling as Lucas leaned over and sucked and then bit his right nipple. There were moans of pleasure from both men. Lucas had the lube in his hands. He put a lot in his hand and reached behind him and put it on Robert's very hard cock. Robert looked at him. "I thought that ...." Lucas looking at him smiling, "All in good time." In very quick time, Lucas placed Robert was at Lucas' entrance and Lucas sat on him. Lucas closed his eyes as the invader went totally into him without stopping. Lucas looked as if he was feeling total pleasure. Lucas started to move up and down. Robert looked as if couldn't believe the pleasure that he himself was getting. After several minutes, Lucas moved up and off of Robert. Lucas grabbed the lube and spread it in on himself. He moved fast and he was at Robert's opening and entered him and went all the way in also without stopping. Robert gasped in pleasure. Robert often didn't say much but tonight, he spoke instensly, "Fuck, fuck. I needed you so badly." His arms were around Lucas and he pulled Lucas to himself and kissed him hard, biting his lip and forcing his tongue into Lucas mouth. The kiss was smouldering as neither could get enough of the other. Robert started to use his hand on his almost purple cock. He felt Lucas moving faster and faster until his he felt Lucas ram into him and stop. Robert gripped himself hard and moved faster until he could feel his climax hit him. The first shot hit his cheek. He felt Lucas start to move to his own climactic rhythm. Still in him, Lucas moved them sideways so that they were still connected but on their sides. When their breathing came under control, Robert turned his head and kissed Lucas a final time. As Robert drifted off, he thought this was another amazing memory to store away. Present They walked into their office building the next morning. He gave Lucas a quick hug as he got off at The Accountants. When Robert entered his office, there was no one around but he could hear talking in their small meeting room. He walked quietly to the room. Mark was talking. "You have no idea how good the presentation was. They had this bickering session at the start which caught everone's attention; they tried to say that the other could be easily replaced. Then, it was Robert and Lucas at their best. I am still amazed at how great the presentation was: professional and detailed. The boss was incredible. He had the French speaking delegates almost rolling in the aisle as he talked to them explaining the different accent in Canada and France and the different words used in forensic accounting. The second presentation was just as good the first one." He paused. "OK, here is what we have to do today." Robert had retreated to his office. He didn't want to stop Mark. Mark was acting like the second in command. He chuckled to himself; what a bit of confidence and good sex could do for a guy. Robert certainly knew what it could do for him. His mind drifted back to yesterday after they arrived home and later in the evening. He realized very quickly to stop those thoughts; he could be embarrassed if he had to stand up. He knew what he had to do that day to start getting organized. They still had work to do on the English version of Forensic+ and then really work hard on the French version that he wanted to publish as soon as possible. But his dream was to have a full service computer company. He needed someone to come in and start of a web site design section of the firm. He wanted to implement databases for small and medium sized firms. He wanted to be able to set up computer systems in smaller offices where they couldn't aford an IT department. It was now clear that Mark was very important to the company. He would have to talk that over with Lucas. They had a very busy day with orders for Forensic+. They had set up the office to deal with a high volume of monetary transactions and copies of Forensic+ sent on line to the firms that had paid. That would last much of the week but they hoped that it would taper down a bit by Friday. Monday and Tuesday had gone well. It was lunch hour on Wednesday and Robert was just about to go for some lunch when he heard someone come in to the office. Their secretary and receptionist politely asked if she could help the person. In a very clipped voice, he heard a female say that she wanted to see Mark. Robert wondered about the tone of voice. He looked out and there was Liz, the young lady who he had seen dancing with Sean at the pub. Robert muttered 'oh, oh' to himself. As he was looking out, he saw a surprised looking Mark come into the reception area. "Liz, didn't expect to see you here. Welcome. Why don't we go to the conference room?" They disappeared into the conference room. Unfortunately, as it turned out for Liz, there was no privacy. They had merely bought some second had dividers and walled off an area of that room adding a fairly large table and chairs. There was no ceiling and anyone could hear what was being said. Robert had an agreement with his dad that he could use a small meeting room in The Accountants if he wanted to do interviews or needed privacy. He decided that he should stay around for this meeting. Liz spoke with a harsh tone to her voice. "I haven't heard from you for a while and then I got your email last week. Your only words were that you wanted your electric razor back and I could drop it off at The Accountants." Quietly with determination, "No, I gave you some options. I did tell you that I was willing to come over to your office and pick it up." Petulently, "Why do you need it returned?" There was a bit of silence, then .... "When was the last time that you agreed to go out with me? I had phoned quite a few times and you were never available. The last time I phoned was a Thursday. Let me see, that would be two weeks ago tomorrow. You were out with the girls on that Friday and with the family on Saturday if I remember correctly. The same sort of reasons that you gave me for the previous couple of weeks. I do believe that we have only seen each other once in the last four weeks. Perhaps longer. I gave up asking you out after that call on that Thursday." Again with a nasty tone of voice, "So I can't go out with the girls?" "You can go out with whom ever you want. The boss and his parnter wanted to get something to eat after work that Friday night after I called you so we arranged to meet at the pub. Strange, you were there with some girls and so was Sean with his arm around your shoulders. When we finished eating, you and Sean were dancing rather closely and when the dance stopped, you reached up and kissed him. It was more than a friendly kiss." "So you were spying on me." "No I was there with my boss for supper and you were out with the girls ... according to you." Liz had put the razor on the table and Mark had picked it up. As he moved it, shaving particles came out of the foil. Mark looked at Liz and then took the head off the razor. It hadn't been cleaned for many shaves. He put the head back on. "Interesting. I clean my razor after every use with warm water. This hasn't been cleaned for weeks. Someone has a darker beard than mine. Sean?" "Sean is married and has decided not to break it off with his wife." "Ah ... so I am the second best. Not good enough for me. Liz, I met someone that Friday night and we are going out together. She came to Toronto and helped me at the conference. Which by the way was very successful for us. Thanks for asking." "So you are breaking up with me and haven't had to guts to tell me." "I think that you broke up the relationship over several weeks almost a month ago as you spent your time with Sean. You didn't have time for me then. Now it appears to be all my fault. Hmm, interesting interpretation but I can live with it." Robert could hear chairs scraping the floor. Then he heard Liz. "Fine, I can live with it too." He wondered what Mark's face looked like when he very lightly said. "Thanks for bringing my electric rasor back." The door to their office slammed shut. Robert chuckled. Liz appeared to be less than fine with the situation than she had said. Mark saw Robert looking out to the entrance area. "Sorry boss. I really did say that I could pick it up at her office but I did give her an option to drop it off at The Accountants, in case she didn't want me at her office." Laughing, "I think that you did a masterful job. You didn't pull any punches and you were blunt. I liked the retort when she accused you of spying on her that no, you were having supper with your boss. Well done." He looked at Mark. "I think that you need a break after that. Lunch is on me. I have some things that I want to discuss with you anyway. Might as well eat." At lunch, "Mark, I really liked you taking over with the staff that first morning after the conference. You did an excellent job with Liz. That is the Mark I hired and saw emerge again in last couple of weeks and at the conference. I have some things that I want to talk over with Lucas and then I will probably want a meeting after hours with you, Lucas and me." "Thanks boss so much. I won't mess up again." Robert gave him a knowing smile. "It helps to have someone that you feel that you can trust and enjoy being with." At home that evening, "Lucas, I want to run somethings by you." Lucas stopped what he was doing and gave him a questioning look. Robert explained what he had seen and heard Mark do Monday with the staff and then with Liz. He told him how pleased he was with him at the conference and over the last week leading up to the conference." Lucas looked at him. "So you are telling me that you are seeing again the guy who we first hired." "Exactly! I would like to find an appropriate title and give him more leadership duties." "Smart thinking. You could call him the assistant to the CEO or Office Manager." "When did you become so smart? From the look on your face, your answer is always." They both laughed. "You know that I have always wanted a full service IT company." Lucas was thinking. "What do you want to do first? You need to establish a list of the services that you want to sell. Then you have to pick one or two. After that, you will have to establish what market you want to service. Then you have to hire and start up. My suggestion, start with a web site service." Robert was impressed, as usual. His guy had become very knowledgeable about business and because of his forensic background, he had an eye for detail. "Why a web site service?" "Well there are a lot of start up companies like ours. They either have to have the expertise that we have or they have to hire a firm. You know as well as I do that a company's web site is the first introduction to a firm. If their web site is awful or difficult to follow, customers will leave and go else where. You know that better than me. Your sites are brilliant but you CANNOT get bogged down in that." Robert looked at his guy with deep respect. "I think the other service that we need is to set up their computers, servers and offices. I could suggest that they need us as their IT department." He stopped. He was thinking. "Link the two together to get the company up and running." Robert continued. "As Dad used to say a lot, synergy is important. You and me together just proved it yet again." Later that evening, it was Lucas who came up behind Robert who was working on his computer. "Save it. Send it to your work computer and put it to bed. Then to bed with me." Lucas massaged his shoulders. Robert sighed with pleasure. Lucas had a little smile on his face. "I looked up synergy. Let's see if the two of us togther tonight can come up with a combined effect greater than the sum of our separate efforts." The laughing bubbled up from deep inside Robert. He turned around and stood up. "Lucas, sometimes you simply delight me, actually all the time. I know that we can do that." Later, laughing while they were still breathing heavily, they agreed that their synergy had indeed been way beyond what they could do separately. It was the smart ass who had to say that he had always realized that a solo handjob just was never enough. The week passed quickly. They had their meeting with Mark on Friday after work. Mark had been shocked but had agreed to be the assistant to the CEO and the Office Manager. He couldn't stop thanking Robert and Lucas. It became clear that the staff had already given Mark the role if not the title. Robert had worked hard on his ideas for becoming a full service IT buisness. One of the first things that he realized he needed was a computer coder who could work on Forensic+. If Robert was to be CEO, he knew that he could not get tied down in the day to day work on the English or the French version of Forensic+ but that person would also have to able to work on web sites and possibly setting up computers and servers as well. Then he wanted to hire someone who could could take over the designing of exciting web sites for the firm. Finally, he needed someone who could code but who was totally bilingual for ForensicPlus, the French version. It was a relief to have a weekend together. They had their workouts. Both of them wanted to stay in good shape for the hockey season which started in the Fall. They had given up hockey on graduation as anything but a passtime. Both knew that their goals were very different from trying out for more advanced teams. However, they loved their hockey games with like minded players. They ended up being co-captains of a team in their league in the city. It was enjoyable and gave them a reason to stay in shape. Then there would be church on Sunday with Momma and the Malenfants along with Jamie, Philipo and Tony's growing family. They attended Momma's church and often the Malenfants joined them. Timothy was thrilled by how much his father enjoyed being at church with his sons and grandsons Robert and Lucas. Both Robert and Lucas had formed a very strong bond with Grandpere Malenfant. They always spoke French when they were with him. He enjoyed their enthusiasm as each started his professional career. They had a good workout and they were at a local restaurant for lunch on Saturday. Robert brought up the topic of their visit to Buffalo the next weekend. "I have been thinking of ways to get in to see Thomas Corbett." "Well, I am a forensic accountant from a well known firm. Perhaps that, some how is our entry. I don't want to lie to him. It would hurt our credibility. How do we do it?" Robert looked very thoughtful. "Perhaps, we could some how make him guess why you would want to see him." "You mean don't lie. Let him make up a reason. OK, I can tell that you have given it some thought. Out with it!" "Yes, I have been thinking about it. Your comment that you are a forensic accountant at a well known firm gave me some ideas. You could phone and ask for an appointment late on Friday. If the receptionist asks for the reason for the appointment, you could tell him or her something vague. If you have to, you might identify yourself and your firm. You could leave you name and The Accoutants name but neglect to leave a contact number. They could find it but they might just let it go." "You are a trickey bastard. Just like you dad, no just like your dads." "I learned from the best. You included." Lucas reached over and touched Robert's hand. "Synergy again. It works in and out of bed." "Yeah and I remember that workouts and food make you horny." "No, you make me horny." "Nicest thing you have said today. Let's go." They did some shopping for food and then went home to enjoy the afternoon discovering how active workouts affected them. They discovered that workouts did make them horny but found a very satisfying solution for that. They woke on Monday morning satisfied with their weekend. Both knew that it was going to be another busy week. Sunday had been enjoyable first at church and then at the Malenfant's for lunch. They had done a bit of work on Sunday afternoon and relaxed Sunday evening. Robert went down to Lucas' office in the late morning. They talked a bit and then Lucas phoned the number for Thomas Corbett's firm. They had talked over what he would say to start the conversation. The telephone was answered by a young sounding female voice. "Good morning, Corbett Accounting, how may I help you?" "Good morning, my name is Lucas Stephenson and I would like to make an appointment with Mr. Corbett. I have a rather busy week ahead of me but I would be free on Friday, later in the afternoon if that is possible." There was a slight pause. "Yes, Mr. Stephenson, Mr. Corbett usually has his last appointment at 3:30 on Fridays and it is free. Can I tell him your reason for the appointment?" "I just have a small business matter that I want to discuss privately with him and I may be bringing a colleague with me." "I shall book the appointment Mr. Stephenson." "Thank you. You have been very helpful." "After all our thoughts, that was brilliant. Short and to the point giving nothing away. Well done." "She sounded young and I figured that I might get away with that kind of approach. Seems to have worked." "Now we have to work on how we'll approach him and not get thrown out of his office." "Right!" It was another very busy week. They still had orders coming in for Forensic+. Robert had posted on several hiring sites their need for a programer who knew mutiple computer languages and spoke fluent French and a programer who was an expert in web site construction. Robert had also put some time in on ForensicPlus, the French version. It still had a long way to go to translate all the input information and instructions. He had a couple of candidates in for interviews on Thursday. One was a question in his mind; Phoebe, Mark's friend, had applied for the web site construction position. The week passed and they were on the road to Buffalo on the Friday morning. They timed it so that they would arrive around noon. That would give them time to register at the hotel, eat, locate Thomas' office and look around downtown Buffalo. He had decided that he would run over the interviews with Lucas on the drive to Buffalo. Lucas beat him to it. "Alright, you said that you had a couple of interviews for the postions you want to fill." "I had in a young man for the programing in French. His French was good but his spelling was not the best and there was something about his attitude that bothered me. He seemed to be giving programed answers. Just giving what he thought that I wanted to hear. He was a bit vague on his actual knowledge when I pushed him. I think that I would like you there for the next interviews." "And Phoebe?" "I want to make certain that her working at the firm isn't going to cause potential problems. However, I was very impressed with her interview. She showed me some sites which she had created and made some suggestions for my sites for Philipo and The Accountants. I was impressed with her suggestions. I really pressed her on her relationship with Mark. She pointed out that she had a good job and would get a good reference but she was looking for a smaller start up company which she could join and work her up in it. She was quite blunt that this was a risky move for her but she wanted to try it badly." "Have you talked to Mark?" "Yes, he let her know about the position and he seems confident that he could work with her even if the relationship broke up. He has grown in the last weeks and really taken charge of the office. I am impressed. This may be my 'David' hire." "Your Dad always says that David was Jamie's best hire and he had to encourage him to grow and take charge." "I would like you to talk with Phoebe before I hire her. We can do that next week. Hey, there is the first turn off for Buffalo; we take the 405 that joins up with the Interstate 190. We get into the US earlier and we can leave at that time or later if we cross back at Fort Eire; that gives us some flexibility for a forty eight hour stay. I see that you have the file folder with the passports and hotel reservations. Let's hit the US." They had read up on Buffalo. It had started to revitalize itself in the late 1990s and early 2000s. They built on their early successes and the city had become a magnet for computer firms and light manufacturing. They registered at the hotel they had booked and figured that this was not the sleazy motel for a dirty, wild weekend. But as Robert said, once the lights were out, they could pretend. They were impressed with Buffalo. It appeared to be a good place to live. There were some good restaurants and they had read that there were some good bars with dancing for both gay and straight. In fact, much like at home, several were mixed. They arrived at Thomas Corbett's offices. It was in a small office building just outside the downtown. Both guys were now a bit nervous. They had talked a lot about how they would handle the situation and had decided to somehow steer the conversation to their topic. Lucas had been correct. The receptionist was a young lady in her twenties or very early thirties. The guys had dressed in a suit with an open neck and no tie. It was obvious that the receptionist was impressed. Minutes later Thomas Corbett came out to where they were waiting. With a bit of a smile. "I am not sure which one of you is Lucas Stephenson but you have clearly brought your colleague." Robert smiled to himself. Thomas was gay and he obviously liked what he was seeing; his eyes had roamed over both their bodies. "I'm Lucas Stephenson." "Mr. Cobett, I am Robert Malenfant." In his office, Thomas looked at the two. "I have seen, read or heard the name Malenfant recently. I have a memory for things that catch my eye" He paused trying to figure out where he had seen or heard the name. His face brightened. "I remember now. I was looking over the information for the conference in Toronto, held a couple of weeks ago. I took some French in school and I saw your name as a presenter. I smiled when I translated your name, bad child." He smiled. "Silly, I know. I hope that your presentation went well. You were presenting a computer program for forensic accounting. I decided not to attend the conference as a lot of the sessions were forensic related and I haven't gotten into that but I am considering it. I also had some other obligations on that weekend as well." Robert took over. "The presentation went better than we had ever hoped. To answer a question that is probably in your mind, we are not here to try to sell anything to you." "Mr. Stephenson, it was you who made the appointment." "First, I think that you should call me Lucas. I made the call for both of us." Robert interjected; he had figured how to start. "I am Robert. We came tell you a story. Right, all the way from Canada for a story. We had seven copies of the program, Forensic+, sent out to 4 Canadian companies and 3 American to try the program for a month. It was free for the month and if they liked it they could get their first year at half price. We had excellent reviews from all the companies but we had one American company which gave us a really good review. I read it out as the last thing in our presentation.' He paused thinking. "We met the owner of that company for a drink in the afternoon. We talked and he finally asked if he could ask a personal question. I told him he could ask anything but he might not get an answer. He said that he had watched us and noted that I had refered to Lucas as my partner. He wanted to know if we were more than business partners." Thomas similed. "That can be a difficult question." "Not for us. I told him that was an easy question and that we always answered it. I told him that we had been together since the fall of our first year at univeristy and that we were married last November. Then I asked him if that was important to him. He said yes but not for the reason we might guess. I too remember things that I find fascinating and interesting. He said that he had done something so stupid and something that he had come to regret so much." Robert was watching Thomas' face very closely and he saw it begin to look very wary. "This CEO of an accounting firm called himself an idiot, stupid and hateful. He said that he had come to regret and feel so ashamed of what he had done." Robert paused. "Thomas, I can see from your face that you may know what I'll say next. The man was ...." Thomas held up his hand for Robert to stop. Both Robert and Lucas could see Thomas lips draw in, his face became tighter and his eyes start to tear up. "Robert, sorry, I mean no disrespect to you." He lowered his head into his hands and then looked up at them. Then with almost an agonized tone and almost whispering, "Ah FUCK."
