Sorry for the delay, but I have been very sick and not able to write. I
hope I will be able to continue with chapter six very soon.  I

Sorry it has been so long since i posted a chapter. I have been in a battle
with my health and still battling but doing better. I hope to start writing
more on the story now and hopefully more chapters will follow soon.

Last time:
Gary got up and went and knelt in front of Marilyn and hugged her.
"Everything will be okay. I will not let anyone hurt my brother or you
anymore.  You will be safe here until he is caught and behind bars," Gary
assured her.   "As for your other children; if they still side with
their father after all this, there is nothing I can do but protect you and
Davey from them.  I will do what ever it takes. I made Davey a promise
that no one would ever hurt you or him again, and I intend to keep that
promise. I also know a young man who will do everything he can to keep
Davey safe."
"I know.  Michael seems like he is very fond of Davey. I just hope
Davey doesn't get hurt," Marilyn sighed.
"It is much more than fondness.  I truly believe Michael loves Davey
and the look in Davey's eyes tells me Davey loves him just as much, Gary
corrected her."  Now let me show you to your room.  I know you have to
be tired after the day you have had.  The boys know where their room is
if they decide to get up and go to bed."  Gary got up and took
Marilyn's hand to show her to her room."
"You are so right.  I could use a good rest, though I am not sure how
much sleep I will get," Marilyn responded, following Gary up the stairs.




A Cowboy's Love - Chapter 6



Three weeks had gone by since Davey had been found beaten by his stepfather
Carl, and had found his half brother. He and his mom now lived with his
half brother and his partner until they could get Davey's real father
Frank's old house repaired for them to live in. The guys had been working
everyday after school and on weekends painting and fixing the old house up
and it was almost livable. They had repainted all the rooms and the outside
and installed some new plumbing and kitchen cabinets. Davey was so excited
about finding his half brother and in fact two half brothers and a half
sister and he was learning more about his real dad who had died before he
was born.

Davey had been out riding his horse Lady Linda and thinking back over the
past few weeks. He was thinking mainly about finding the guy he had been in
love with for so long had really been in love with him also. Michael was
like a dream come true for Davey. They had spent many nights together
holding each other and talking. Davey loved waking up in Michael's arms and
wished they could live together. They had yet to make love or even have any
sexual contact because of their age difference Michael felt it necessary to
wait until Davey was of legal age. However, being a horny 14-year-old Davey
was frustrated and always needed to take matters into his own hands he
fantasized about having Michael make love to him and dreamed of the day
that would become a reality.

Bringing Lady Linda to a halt Davey dismounted and tied the reins to a
tree. Davey was at his favorite spot to be a lone and think. He spread his
blanket under the tree next the beautiful lake that spread out before
him. Removing his clothes and stretching out Davey let the warm sun bathe
his slim trim almost hairless body. Davey had been taking self-defense
classes since his step fathers last beating and swore he would never again
let anyone beat him again. There were still signs of bruising and old scars
on his body that had finally started to heal. The police were still
searching for Carl but so far, no sign of him and that made Davey a little
nervous, he never got far from the house because he was still afraid to be
alone. Closing his eyes Davey started to dose off thinking about being in
Michael's arms. As he slept, a silent figure was watching not far away. The
figure knew someday he would have the boy but the time was not right now it
was best just to keep an eye on him from a distance.

Back at the house Jim was starting to prepare dinner for the family he too
was thinking about the past few weeks. He was thinking how lucky they had
been to find out Davey was his partner Gary's half brother who he had been
searching for so long. He had seen a change in Gary the last few weeks he
was happier and had taken to the role of protective big brother to
Davey. Jim laughed to himself as he thought of the sight of the two of them
playing and wrestling in the back yard like little kids. He himself loved
Davey as a brother or even a son, Davey had always been one of his favorite
students and was hard working a made excellent grades. He never gave any of
the teachers any problem. Davey's mom Marilyn had become like a mother to
all the guys and Sister Baylor well there was no other way to describe her
but beautiful. Everyone in the house was calling her grandmother now. Jim
thought back to the first day they went to her church and how scared he was
but how she and everyone there had welcomed them like family. Jim who had
never been very religious was now finding a new inner peace and loved going
to church. He specially loved hearing Davey sing, Jim thought back the
first time he heard him sing he thought he was hearing the voice of
angels. Hearing the clomping of boots on the porch Jim looked up to see
Davey entering the house thru the back door.

"Hi sweetie, have a good ride?" Jim asked as Davey entered the kitchen.

"Yea it was nice," replied Davey as he walked over where the other man was
chopping lettuce for a salad and put his arms around him hugging him. "but
I had a strange feeling out by the lake." he continued snuggling closer to
his older friend who was like a brother to him now. "It was like I don't
know I just got a creepy feeling like I wasn't alone."

"Its ok babe, no one is going to hurt you as long as we are here. We aren't
letting anyone hurt you again I promise you that." Jimmy returned pulling
the boy closer to him sensing some fear in his voice.

Neither man had noticed the other figure joining them in the kitchen. Gary
just stayed silent watching the love between his brother and the man he
loved with all his heart. He was happy to have Davey now in his life and he
could see that his lover loved him just as much as he did.

" Hey little bro you trying to steal my man," Gary laughed finally letting
himself be known as he joined the other two in a three way hug and kissed
his lover deeply. "This is my man and don't you forget it bro.," he said as
he continued hugging his brother tight along with his partner.

"I am better looking old man and I am gonna take your boyfriend away from
you." Davey giggled as Gary started tickling his ribs. "Ok ok, I give, you
can have him besides he is way too old for Me.," he laughed pulling away
from the two older guys and heading for the frig for a soda.

"Too Old what do you mean toooooooo old you little scamp." Jimmy snorted as
he chased the young boy snapping at him with a kitchen towel. "I'll make
you think too old, I am just a few years older than YOUR Boyfriend by the
way." he laughed as Davey ran from the room.

"Come here OLD man and give your OLD man a hug and kiss." Gary laughed
taking Jim into his arms and kissing him passionately. "You may be old but
you are still as hot as the day I meet you when we were both 13. I still
remember that day as if it was yesterday. "He whispered in between kisses.

"Yes and you my love just keep getting hotter and sexier" Jimmy cooed
leaning against the counter and pulling his lover in closer snuggling with
him for a few minutes. "I love you more everyday."

"I love you do baby. Now I have two men in my life. "Gary said with a sense
of love and pride in his voice."I am so glad we found Davey. The house
seems more a live now. I am gonna miss him when he and Marilyn move into
dads ole place." he continued with slight frown.

"I know babe but it is not like he will be that far away. I mean the house
is just next door and we will see him everyday." Jimmy tried to be cheerful
and cheer his lover up but at the same time, he too was going to feel the
emptiness with Davey and Marilyn moved out. The last few weeks had been a
joy for him and his boyfriend. "I am still gonna worry about him until this
mess with Carl is cleared up and he is caught."

"I know hun, I wish they could find that son of a bitch and put him where
he belongs. After what he has done to my little brother he better hope the
cops get him before I do." Gary said with venom in his voice. "I want to
hang him by his balls and slowly torture him like he has done to Davey." as
he laid his head on Jimmy's shoulder he had tears of grief running down his
cheeks. In the past few weeks, Gary had gotten close to his new brother and
had vowed he would do whatever necessary to protect him from being hurt
again.

Jimmy could feel the hurt going thru Gary and knew his heart was breaking
at the thought of what Davey had been thru in the past fourteen years. As
he stood there holding his lover and consoling him he too thought back over
the past few weeks. Although he himself had known Davey as a student for
the past three years he didn't have a clue what Davey had been going thru
until recently when Davey had called upon him to come rescue him. His heart
broke for the pain his lover and Davey both were feeling. His heart also
went to Marilyn for the abuse she too had suffered at the hands of her
husband.

Suddenly their quiet moment was shattered by none other than the pipsqueak
himself running thru the house bare-naked screaming.

"Hey, what's all the fuss about?" Gary asked gabbing Davey before he could
run out the door "and what do you think you're doing running thru the house
with no clothes on young man? He continued to question as he also tried to
calm davey down.

"There's a mouse in my room." Davey cried shaking in his brothers arms.

"All this fuss over a little mouse "Gary laughed thinking how anyone could
be afraid of a mouse not knowing Davey had a deadly fear of them.

"It's not funny." Davey cried, "I hate those things they scare me."

"Come on little brother I will take care for the mouse he is probably gone
by now anyway. And you need to get clothes on before your mom gets home."
Gary said still laughing inside and guiding Davey out of the room kissing
his lover once again. " Be right back hun let me go get rid of this big bad
mouse" he said still grinning at his lover as he and davey left to go find
the Giant mouse Davey was screaming over.

Gary was watching as Davey climbed the stairs "damn" he thought, "he is
gonna be a heart breaker some day" admiring his brothers lithe frame and
cute butt. "Michael doesn't know how lucky he is," he thought to
himself. He could see how much his new brother was a like to their other
brother Leslie. They would have passed for twins at that age. Leslie was
married now with two kids of his own a boy and a girl. They also had a
sister Patricia she had 4 children 2 boys and two girls. Davey was an uncle
at a young age but when he had met his new family Davey had taken right to
the kids and adored them and they adored him. It seemed Patricia was going
to be Davey's best friend as well as sister the two seemed to really hit it
off well and had talked well into the night the first night they
met. Leslie tho usually quiet and never one to talk much tho had opened up
to Davey and talked to him a lot that night. Gary thought how strange it
was to see their brother like that since he was not usually one to talk
much even with family.

"Ok naked boy where is this veracious mouse at." Gary giggled as they
entered Davey's room, it was littered with clothes and used tissue that
made it obvious as to what he had been doing in his room.

"I swear it was here under my desk there." Davey exclaimed
excitedly. "Please find it and get rid of it please please please!" he
begged

"Ok ok just calm down ok I will get rid of it when I find it" Gary assured
him looking around for any sign of the mouse. "I will go get some traps and
set in here to catch him ok"

"Ok but I am not sleeping in here until that pest is caught" Davey stated
clinging to his brother for protection.

then. But please remember to use the trash bin for your used tissues we
wouldn't want your mom to have to pick them up now would we." Gary laughed
thinking of what a sight that would be to see Marilyn having to clean up
after Davey's jerk off sessions.

"Oh god I didn't think about that" Davey blushed even brighter. "I will
make sure I clean up from now on." He finished breaking the hug and pulling
on a pair of white briefs and jogging shorts.

"Well what you say we go find those traps and get them set so we can catch
this monster that had you so upset you run thru the house naked showing
everyone what you have." Gary laughed aloud and tussled Davey's
hair. "Which by the way little bro is pretty impressive" he smiled causing
Davey to turn red with embarrassment. Wrapping his arm around the young man
the two walked back down to the kitchen to find Jimmy busy preparing a
salad and cutting potatoes for fries.

"Well did you two mouse hunters find that big bad creature and do away with
him" Jimmy greeted them teasing davey about the mouse.

"No but Gary said we could set traps to catch him" Davey replied grabbing a
sliced of raw potato and munching down on it.

"Hey hands off till you wash them I don't wanna know where they have been."
Jimmy slapped at his hands with a knowing smile on his face. "Now go wash
up" He ordered and you too Mr. Big Mouse hunter he pointed at Gary.

"Yes sir master sir" Gary saluted in a mock fashion. "Come on little
brother let's go wash up and watch some TV while the ole grouch here cooks
out dinner." he laughed as he dodged a dish towel thrown by Jimmy.

"You two better watch what you say or you might not get any dinner
tonight." Jimmy torted as the two guys left the kitchen in a hurry.

"Love you babe" Gary hollered from the other room as they retreated.

"Love you babe" Came an echo from the younger version causing Jimmy to
smile to himself thinking how much a like those two were and how much Gary
was like a kid again with Davey around. Was not long until Jimmy heard a
car drive in and looked out to see Michael and Marilyn getting out of
Mike's car and coming toward to the house hurriedly. As the two entered,
Jimmy could tell Marilyn was frightened by something by the look of terror
in her eyes.

"Mikey!!!!!" Davey ran screaming into the room jumping into his boyfriend's
arms and kissing him with every ounce of passion he could muster. "I missed
you so much" he exclaimed.

"Hey what about me don't I count anymore?" Marilyn laughed as Davey
released Michael long enough to go hugs and kiss his mom. "Hi baby how was
your day "she asked watching Davey hugging his boyfriend and smiling with
pride knowing the two really did love each other.

"It was ok," Davey answered as Mikey wrapped him in his arms and held him
tight. "I went for a ride to the lake and came home."

"Davey baby please don't go to the lake anymore without someone with you."
Marilyn replied with fear in her voice.

"Sweetheart, listen to your mom ok." Michael finally spoke. "We don't want
you going anywhere anymore without someone with you ok. We love you and
don't want anything to happen to you sweetie." Michael tried to be calm but
fear also was showing in his voice causing Gary and Jimmy both to become
concerned now knowing something wasn't right.

"Mom, Mikey what's wrong " Davey questioned as Marilyn looked at Jimmy and
Gary for help.

Michael sat down in a chair at the table and pulled Davey into his lap
before answering him in as calm a voice as he could. "Baby we don't know
what is going on but someone slashed the tires on your mom's car today. So
until we know what is happening and why we don't want you outside the house
alone ok?" Michael told the now frightened young man in his lap.

"Oh momma." Davey let out as he jumped from Mikey's lap and ran and
embraced his mother tight. "Why is Carl doing this, I know he was the one
who did it I know he was." He cried into his mother's shoulder as Michael
now had came up from behind and embraced them both with Gary and Jimmy
joining in the group hug.

"I don't know Baby but until he is caught we want you to be safe ok promise
mommy you won't go anywhere unless we are with you ok." Marilyn spoke into
her son's ear as the family continued their hugs. "Ok enough hugs I am
tired and want to get off my feet so if you big lugs will let me go so I
can sit down" Marilyn laughed trying to change the mood to a more cheerful
one. Everyone let go as Mike pulled out a chair for Marilyn to have a seat
in.

The burgers and fries will be ready soon." Jimmy said turning back to his
task of cooking " Sweetie will you get the stuff from the frig and set the
salad and plates on the table please? He asked his partner who started
setting the table and getting help from Mike with getting the stuff from
the frig and getting the salad.

"Oh God I got so upset I forgot to call and have the car towed." Marilyn
spoke with anxiety in her voice as she remembered her now disabled car.

"Don't worry about it. It has been taken care of." Michael answered her.

"But how who?" Marilyn questioned

"Who do you think?" Michael laughed "As soon as grandmother heard what
happened she called Ray herself to have him pick the car up and put four
new tires on it."

"But I can't afford new tires" Marilyn started

"Grandmother is taking care of it no sense arguing with her, you know how
she can be" Michael came back. "I'll stay here tonight so I can take you to
work in the morning and then we will go get your car tomorrow afternoon."

"Well I know someone who is happy to hear that news." Marilyn giggled as
her son gave the victory sign and snuggled in closer in Michaels lap.

"I love you Mikey" Davey whispered in Mike's ear as he cuddled close.

"I love you too baby boy" Michael replied kissing his ear softly

"Hey get a room you two." Gary quipped jokingly

"Ok come on Mikey we can use Jimmy and Gary's bedroom" Davey joked back
pretending to pull Mikey out of his seat

"Oh no you don't young man you aunt messing up my bed" Laughed his brother
as the two continued to joke back and forth Jimmy brought in a platter of
hamburgers and a platter of home made French fries and sat them on the
table

"Ok children quit arguing and let's say grace before we eat" Jimmy spoke
softly taking his place beside his lover. As the group stood up and joined
hands for the table Grace that Mikey was elected to give. After Mike had
giving the blessing everyone sat down and started digging in to the food.

"Did you make a report to the police about your tires?" Gary asked as he
bit into his burger.

"Yes Leo made a complete report but with no witnesses not much he has to go
on" Marilyn replied shaking her head. "I am just afraid he is going to come
after Davey next."

" Don't worry about Davey school is out now so neither of us are working so
davey will not be along for one second from now on. They will catch this
creep soon if not I will personally catch him." Gary stated from his heart

"I don't think Carl knows where you are right now does he? Jimmy asked
concerned for the safety of Marilyn and Davey as well as he and Gary and
Mike.

"I don't know, it is possible he could have been following me or having
someone else to follow me." Marilyn replied not really knowing how to
answer and knowing full well what her husband Carl was capable of
doing. "I'll just be glad when they catch him and all this is over."

"I think I speak for all of us when I say I think we all will be but until
then You and Davey are staying right here in this house with us so we can
help protect you if need be." Gary answered quickly. He knew he was not
letting his little brother out of his sight for one minute now.

"Yea like you had top protect him from the big bad mouse today?" Laughed
Jimmy telling about the mouse incident.

"Jimmy you didn't have to tell everyone!!!" Davey exclaimed hiding his
face.

"What happened?" Mikey wanted to know

" NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!" Davey shouted

"David Wayne Collier you will not shout at the table" Marilyn scolded" now
apologize."

"I'm sorry everyone" Davey apologized tucking his head down.

"Hey Babe its ok, I'll protect you from the big bad mouse " Mike tried to
hide the giggle in his voice but soon had everyone including Davey
laughing.

"Davey was so upset he came running thru here and forgot he didn't have
clothes on," Gary laughed

"Oh, my God" Marilyn laughed, "I should have warmed you; Davey has a
terrible fear of mice. Not the first time I have seen his naked butt
running from one."

"Mommmmmmm" Davey stammered, "did you have to tell everyone"

"Baby it is no shame that you are afraid of mice" Mikey assured his love to
Davey. "I love you anyway. But sure would have loved to have seen you
running bare assed through the house tho." Mike giggled kissing Davey's ear
gently

"Perv" Davey returned turning to plant a kiss on Mikey's lips in front of
everyone.

"Ok you two get a room" Gary snorted

"I got one right up stairs thank you very much." Davey retorted back at his
brother "ain't like you having seem us kiss before"

"Yea but some of us are TRYING to EAT here," Gary, laughed as Mikey threw a
french fry at him

"Hey no food fights." Jimmy hollered, "I worked to hard to prepare that to
eat not to throw." He continued as he ducked a fry being aimed at him by
his lover. "Dang Gary you are supposed to set an example for your brother
and darned if you are not just as bad as he is." He scolded the older
brother.

"Maybe we should take them both over our laps and give them an ole fashion
spanking" Marilyn added grinning from ear to ear.

"Naw, Gary likes that too much," Jimmy, laughed

"Way more information than I need to know young man." Marilyn playfully
slapped jimmy on the arm. Everyone at the table burst into a fit of
laughter as Gary's face turned a bright shade of red.

After everyone had finished dinner, Jimmy cleared the table and Gary helped
him wash up the dishes while everyone else retired to the living room to
watch television. Marilyn sat in a comfortable chair and kicked her shoes
off with a sigh of relief, while Mikey and Davey snuggled together on the
sofa. Soon Jimmy and Gary took their place with the group snuggling
together on the love seat while watching the evening news. Everyone seemed
to be just relaxing and vegging out when a loud shot rang out, the glass in
the living room window was shattered.

Amidst the screaming and chaos that followed, no one had noticed Mikey had
not moved. All of a sudden, they heard Davey screaming. "Mikey is bleeding
oh my God do something he is bleeding bad," He screamed holding his barely
conscious lover in his arms. Jimmy ran for the phone to call for help while
Gary and Marilyn were trying to attend to Mikey and calm Davey at the same
time.

"He is still alive baby he is going to be ok" Marilyn spoke softly trying
to calm her frightened son and at the same time not let him see the fear in
her eyes she was feeling. Michael from what they could tell had been hit in
the neck. Gary was applying pressure to stop the bleeding until help could
arrive. Amidst all the panic, no one heard the tires peeling out leaving.

In just a few minutes, the sirens of the ambulance and police cars could be
heard pulling into the driveway. The paramedics were the first thru the
door with a stretcher. Davey was still holing Mikey's hand and did not want
to turn loose even for the paramedics to do their job.

"Baby come on now let the medics do what they have to do they need to get
Mikey to the hospital come on now he will be ok." Marilyn assured her son
as she pulling the crying child to her and held him close while at the same
time offering a prayer for the safety of Michael and the whole
family. Jimmy thinking ahead called Sister Baylor and told her to meet them
at the hospital. Leo came bursting thru the door asking Jimmy what
happened. When learning Michael had been shot He had all his men start
searching the area.

The Para medics being good at their job soon had Michael loaded on the
stretcher and were on their way out the door with him. Davey was fighting
to go with them but Gary and Marilyn were holding him tight assuring him
they would be right behind him.

"Leo, I want that son of a bitch found and found now," Gary cursed. "No one
is safe now with him running loose. You best find him before I do because I
will be the one going to jail after this."  Gary assured the cop standing
there. "I promise you that"

"I am gonna pretend I didn't hear that Gary if Carl should say have an
accident of some sort." Leo replied giving Gary a knowing wink. "We will
catch him I assure you, he will pay for what he has done."

Davey was tugging at Gary's arm as the two men spoke.

"Come on we have to get to the hospital I have to be with Mikey." Davey
cried hugging his big brother. "We have to go now."

"Come on I can get you there faster in my car," Leo stated herding the mass
out to his car and loading them up.

Soon they were all on their way to wait the out come of Mikey.


Sorry to leave you Hanging. Will Mikey live or will he die. Hope you are
