Sorry for the delay as I explained in my earlier post. This is the long awaited chapter 6! For those who wonder, I had a great wild camping trip this summer. It was fun as hell, despite it was raining everyday! Hi hope you'll like the next chapter as I had a lot of fun to write it. Drake From last chapter: Once Jake was feeling a bit better with some food in him, I went and gathered some more wood to stoke the fire for the night. I wasn't sure what nocturnal wildlife might be lurking on this island, but I couldn't take any chances. We all climbed into the tented raft and called it a night. Jake was surrounded by his two friends; Wil in front of him, Matt behind, and me, behind Matt. We were stuck skin to skin in an expression of love and to share body heat. We all drifted into a profound sleep - this being the first one that would be less stressful since the crash. The calm, the heat, the serenity we had that night prepared us for another great day together - one that we could all share tomorrow. -------------------------------------------------------- Chapter 6 The sun was about to rise as I stirred from my slumber. I became aware that something was going on around me while I tried to extricate myself from my comfortable dream state. As my eyes focused to see what was going on, a panic mode set in as I heard Jake yelling and screaming as if he was in pain. I turned over to have a look at him and saw that Matt was already kneeling beside his boyfriend, rubbing his shoulders, trying to wake him up. Wil was nearby to help, but seeing that Matt had the situation in hand, he moved back and watched as I did. "Jake!! Wake up!" Matt said with some urgency in his voice. "Move away!! He'll snap you! Hurry up!" Jake yelled, still dreaming. "Jake, wake up man, you're dreaming!!" Matt continued. "Matt!!! MOVE!!! The fish!!! He's comin' back!!" Jake moaned loudly, twitching and flailing his hands. I was trying to understand the intensity of his nightmare. I'd have thought that his own voice would have woken him before now. "JAKE!! It's OK! I'm right here!" Matt said in a loud authoritative tone. "Hmm.... Huh! What, where I... Is he gone?" Jake replied, still dazed. "Jake, we're on land, there's no fish here..." Matt said with a comforting tone. "On land... Huh?" "You were having a nightmare Jake." "Oh... Matt... You're really here?" "Yeah, you remember yesterday don'cha?" Matt asked, still concerned, but now with a small smile. As the cogs seemed to start spinning in Jake's head, he became aware of where he was. Finally, he remembered the reality of last evening and started to calm down. He looked at each of us, without saying anything. We didn't speak, allowing Jake to gather his thoughts in silence. Matt kissed his forehead and told him to rest a little more, so he could recuperate from the pain of his dreamy misadventure. I think we all wanted Jake to get back to us in a better shape and I thought that rest for the moment would be the answer. "Stay there Jake... try to sleep a little more, you really need it. We'll gonna scout around outside to get some food and explore the land..." Matt said. "I don't wanna... I'll just have the same nightmare.... God, it's scary...." Jake replied as a frightened stare came over his face. "Just maybe, but maybe not Jake. Right now you have to heal and conserve your energy. First we're going to get you some food so we better get up fellas. Jake, we'll be around so you don't have to be afraid." I said. "Noooo!!! Please, don't leave me alone in here!" he said. "Hmm, it's OK Jake... Greg, would you mind if I stayed with him in the raft while you guys are gone?" Matt asked. "Sure, no problem Matt." I replied "Thanks guys, you're all really sweet..." Jake added with a smile of renewed confidence. "Before you go back to sleep.... your lips look pretty dry. I think you'd better take a sip of water?" Wil said with a water bottle already in his hand. "Yeah, thanks Wil..." Jake took some of the water in the bottle with the help of Matt to keep him in a sitting position. As soon he was done, he lay back down on the raft floor and closed his eyes. He started to breath more and more slower as he went back into dreamland, however he started to shiver. Matt moved closer to him, pulling Jake's back to his chest giving him some body heat and then started to stroke his belly. I think we'd have to figure out how to make some blankets out of something because the nights were really chilly where we were marooned. As the sun got brighter, I was able to get a better look at Jake's wounds. Damn, he'd been bit quite a lot. His flotation vest sure had helped him survive when the fish attacked his chest. It probably exploded in the fishes jaw because there were some small abrasions on his torso, as if the teeth hadn't had time to penetrate, and his skin was reddened in some places as if something had rubbed on it. His thighs and calves were a different story; the cuts were very bad, yet the bites hadn't done any permanent damage, HOWEVER one inch closer, and his dick would have been well ripped. I could see the jaw imprint left by the teeth on both the front and back of his thigh. From the way it looked, I thought he'd been bit by a barracuda or a very small shark. The jaw seemed to be less than eight inches wide. I'd have to remember to tell the boys to be very careful because, if I remembered right, this type of shark liked to forage in shallow water. Matt was still awake and because he was clutching his boyfriend and stroking him lovingly, he started to get a boner. To give them some privacy, Wil and I exited the raft and went to the shore. "Do you think they'll do it?" Wil asked with no hesitation. "Hey! That's none of our business Wil! Come on, quit asking anything about their sexual life. Let's give them the privacy they need! I know you're curious about them but... well.... whenever they want to do it, they'll do it and you know what? We don't have to know it!" I added as we started to walk along the shore. "Like you said, it's just that I'm curious... I mean, it's not like voyeurism, but I just... I... Sorry I won't say it..." he told me, looking at the ground. I stopped him and took his beautiful face in my hands, pulling his chin a little upward so I could make eye contact. He tried to avoid looking at me, but finally gave up and waited for me to say something. With the embarrassed look on his face, I could tell he was uncomfortable, as I seemed to read his mind. The more I waited, the more nervous he became, breathing heavier and shuffling a little on his feet. I continued my stare until I'd cooked him to a boiling point. Finally, he exclaimed, "Stop, stop it!" I did my best to look as if nothing had happened and replied, "Stop what? I didn't do anything!" "Stop looking at me like that Greg!" he whined. "I'm just try to read your mind kiddo..." I told him with a small grin. "You're not a mind-reader. Ya can't be. Are you?" he asked in disbelief with a questioning look on his face. He was so cute when he did that; his furrowed brows uneven, and the left side of his mouth pointing up at one end. "You really won't say it will you?" I cut him short while leaving his face free from my hands, then started to brush his hair with my fingers. "Say what?" he asked, still trying to avoid my sight. "You and Jason..." "What do you mean? Me and Jason what!" he said with an upset tone. "OK, I quit. I won't tease you with that. I just guessed you wanna talk about something that's boring you and I figured it could be related to Jason... My bad. Sorry Wil, I didn't want to make you angry," I replied calmly. "Oh, OK..." he simply answered as we started to walk back on our path. I was uncomfortable with the situation. For the very first time since our escape from the crash, Wil wasn't able to talk me. He wasn't shy at all, no - he just kept something that was bugging him buried deep inside. I knew he wanted to talk about this, but I think he was afraid of my reaction, or maybe he was just unable spit it out. I tried to keep silent during the rest of the walk to avoid putting more pressure on him. As we walked, I saw that he was still in deep thought, giving some glances at me, but avoiding being near me. As I continued watching him near my side, I saw some tears in the corner of his eyes, so I turned toward him and put my arm around his shoulder, still without saying a word. It was a matter of seconds before he flooded his face on my chest, sobbing uncontrollably. "Shhhh, it's OK Wil, let it go!" I said as I stopped walking and lowered both of us to the ground. "Com'ere sit on my lap." I told him as I pulled him onto me, still crying and unable to speak. I embraced him with my arms and rocked him back and forth trying to give him some consolation. I gave him the time to catch his breath before I spoke. I figured I'd have to ask him if he wanted to talk about it, because my last temptation was a big zero. "Want to talk now?" I asked gently. He answered yes with a nod of his head so I started to speak, avoiding the real subject that I thought this matter was really about. "Well, we've been through a lot of crap since last week, don't you think?" I started to say. OK, that's not my best introduction, but I wanted to put him at ease with small talk. "Hmm hmm..." he just replied with no tone. "Home sick?" I asked. "No... Not really, even you should already know why..." he replied. "Yeah, sorry. But you don't miss anything at home?" "No. I'm just exhausted from everything that's happened. I'm probably more relieved now that we've been able to make it to shore." he said in a brighter mood. "Yeah, I think it was about time. I was starting to worry about our food and water..." and with a serious tone, I added, "...and I'm happy you got Jake back!" "Yeah, me too. I'm starting to like him a lot more and I think he likes me the same... but I dunno why, somehow it's different now." "Do you remember when we talked about you in the raft?" "Yeah, 'bout my shyness?" "You're the winner! Yeah, about your shyness, about how you acted with everyone. Now you're a better person to hang around with because you open up with the others, you're making great efforts to express yourself and you're letting other people know who you really are. I take it that Jake was waiting for this moment for a very long time because he seems to like you a lot now. Still, I think he owes you his life." "I did nothing, I just saw the raft and..." He raised his head from my chest and looked at me. "Hey Wil, you brought him back to us!!!! Forty-five minutes walking in the water, dragging that orange raft behind you? I don't think I'd be able to do that myself! It weighs more than two hundred pounds! That's more than nothing!!" "That's what's bugging me..." "What Wil?" "Why I was strong enough to drag it back to our camp." "What do you mean?" "As selfish as it sounds, I didn't do that only for Jake and that makes me feel ashamed," Wil said sobering. "I just did it so Matt would consider me... you know.... I wanted to impress him." "He already likes you a lot son. You're more than a friend to him! He loves you as if you were his little bro!" "That's not what I meant. He would... like ya know?" He slid off my lap and sat beside me. I kept my arm around him so we'd have the closeness of our bodies still touching. "No. I don't know..." I said, trying to let him say it by himself. "C'mon Greg, help me here. It's not easy to say..." He replied looking at me seriously, then at his feet. "Okay, let say you love him?" "Yeah..." "More than 'he's just your friend'?" "A lot more than that..." "Like?" "Geeze, I just can't say it, Greg!" "Like?" "Greg! You're starting to act silly again! I'm serious here!" "Like?" "Okay you asked it. LIKE I WISH HE WERE MY BOYFRIEND DAMMIT!!" he spat back at me as he started to cry into his hands. I realized that something was hidden deep within him and this was just the tip of the iceberg I was seeing. "Are you really surprised about that Wil?" "No, I'm just a selfish jealous prick. Just before we started to walk, I was wondering what it would be if I was Jake. I mean if Jake wasn't there and I was alone with Matt... like I've been really dreaming about.... having sex with Matt..... for a long time.... and I dunno why!" How could I tell him that I'd already heard that little conversation they'd together, him and Matt, and that Matt just told him to forget it. Maybe not said that way, but from Wil's point of view, I think the expression fits pretty good. So I thought the truth wouldn't hurt now. "I heard some of what you and Matt talked about yesterday." "You heard what??" he replied in disbelief. "Sorry Wil, I couldn't help myself because I wanted to keep an eye on you guys, but let me say that it took a lot of guts to tell Matt what you did." I told him. "And he turned me down..." Wil added with a pout. "No. Not that way... You know that Matt is deadly fond to Jake. You know, for him it would've been the same as cheating on Jake. So I think you have to forget it. And don't think of creating trouble between those two. I don't think I have to explain what would happen to you!" "Yeah, I understand, you'll be beating the crap out of me... but I'm still just jealous... Why is it that I can't find anyone to love me? Am I that ugly?" "Nooo!! I'd never beat you," I replied with a small chuckle, "...and no, you're really good looking and you're developing into a handsome young man, more than you think yourself! It's just that you're just starting to open up with the others and maybe it's embarrassing. Previously, you were so closed and it was difficult to approach you, so I doubt it didn't help for you to get close with some girlfriends, or maybe even some boyfriends too." "I'm just frustrated Greg. I'm not really into girls. Sometimes, I think Jason is interested in me, but not as a boyfriend. I know he wants to do some things with me, but I know it's just sexual. I want more; I want a real relationship." "Do you know what a real relationship is?" I asked. "Yeah, I think... it's like you care for the one you love, you talk with him, you're like a team. It's not only sex, it's more than that, but I can't explain it." he replied. "Besides being real lovers, you never wanted to try something with your friend Jason, just to know if you'd like it?" "Hell no! His dick is too much big to shove in my ass!! Oops! Sorry I didn't meant to be crude..." "Ha ha ha ha! That's OK!" I laughed back. "Anyway, he just wants to wank me or to put his dick in my ass... like fuck buddies do... He doesn't want to kiss, he says that it's too girly. He doesn't want us to cuddle, to hold hands, or to share anything about our lives. So I know I couldn't expect too much of him on that side..." "Oh, I'm really sorry Wil, I shouldn't have asked." I replied. "Nah, it's OK. I know that Jason doesn't love me as I'd like him to, so.... I just want to save my ass for my real lover.... BUT I still don't know if I'm gay or not!" "That's fair." "Hmm Greg?" "Yes Wil?" "I uh.... I don't know how to say this..." "Just let your thoughts flow into words and say them." "OK... Let me... Ahhhh Gosh! Well... since, there's no one here besides us, couldn't you be my boyfriend?" he asked. I DID ask him for his thoughts. Great! Now I had it right from the nether regions of his mind. How could I answer him? I paused, trying to think of the right response. Here I was, stuck on this deserted island having a private moment with a young man who had the same sexual cravings as me. Oh yeah, I had them and God knows I was starving for the love and affection that he craved at this tender time in his life, but I just couldn't allow myself to corrupt his tender emotions. Any passions that I could imagine had to be controlled. Although we were on land with a source of food and water, our future still wasn't without danger. The wrong touch, the wrong word, and we'd be down a road full of distractions that I'd never forgive myself for giving into. Here I sat already feeling the depths of guilt because of my suppressed thoughts, mentally fighting for the right thing to say. On one hand, I wanted nothing more than to wrap Wil into my arms and enjoy a passion that we both wanted to answer, but also we had to face the perils of our present environment - an environment that may make us face many new uncertainties. Did I love Wil - yes - dearly, as I did Matt and Jake as well, but it was a love that declared I wanted them to grow up into upstanding young men that took pride in themselves - and young men that I could look upon, with an equal pride. Even with all these thoughts parading through my mind, I stumbled with my answer. "Ehhh... Wil, I really can't. Even if I wanted to... it's just...." I was stumped for words, so I let my mind speak. "I could be your dad and..." "Greg, that sounds like a bunch of crap from a soap opera script. Did you watch too much TV so that now your brain is completely melted?" Wil said angrily. He paused and his voice softened. "Did you know that some gay boys of my age really want to be with an older man? They'd like to be loved by an older man, and yes they'd like to be fucked by an experienced older buddy!!! Our age doesn't have anything to do with love. Love isn't tagged with years, love is just a feeling you can't stop. They just made some stupid laws to keep younger guys from being abused by the older men. And that's OK, I can understand why, but when the call for this love comes from us, the younger guys, there's.... there's just nothing we can do!" "Wow! I really don't know what to say..." I felt the anguish and somber pleading in his voice. I understood, but I had to maintain my stance of the understanding father figure. "In some way, it makes sense but..." "But you should already have replied yes or no!" he snapped back. "Listen Wil, you can't order someone to love you and expect them to tell you so, out of nowhere. AND you don't even know if I'm into boys or girls!!" "So?" "So what?" "Oh crap!! Greg! OK, since I have to explain everything to you..." then putting an emphasis on each word with a sharpness in his voice, Wil continued, "Are... you... into... boys... or... into... girls?" "Wil, don't use that tone with me!" I replied showing the offence I'd taken with his attitude. "I know you're kind of upset and you're tired and frustrated trying to find someone, but it won't solve anything to act like that with me!" "Sorry Greg, I really didn't mean to be rude. It's just that I think I'll spend the rest of my life here and I'll never find love. Even if it's a boy or a girl, I just want someone to love and to be loved by someone. It's not fair..." "And is that why you want to be with me?" "Yeah, kind of..." "So, you don't really love me... I'd be just here for you until we're back to civilization..." "Noooo!!! I really love you. More than I can explain. Yeah, for sure Matt would be my first choice because he's my age and I've had a kick on him for ages, but he and Jake are almost wife and husband now, so I have to forget it, you already told me that. But I like you and I have as much love for you as I do for Matt." "Well...." I said, waiting for my mind to slip into gear. "So, boys... girls..." he asked with a small grin on his cutie face. "Wil, don't look at me with those puppy eyes!" I told him. "Boys... girls..." he said, still wearing his smile. "Both..." I confessed. "Both? Both what?" "Both boys and girls..." "Huh?!?! You're like, hmmm.... bisexual?" "Yeah, that's what they used to call us!" "So did you have a boyfriend?" "Yeah, but none for a long time.... back when I was your age. But I've had a lot of experiences from time to time though." "Wow!! So you had a girlfriend?" "Yeah, I'd been in some relationships. And I was married too. But I divorced my wife five years ago." "Oh sorry... Why did you divorced?" "She found out about me..." "Oh, you were with a buddy in the bed?" "No!!" I laughed back. "No, I'd never cheated on her. It's just that she found out some old letters I got as the years passed by. Let say that she found some letters that were written by boys, with kisses at the end." "Ha ha ha ha! That wasn't your lucky day!" Wil said with a big smile. "Hell no! To make a long story short, some weeks later, since it was difficult to her to accept my sexuality, we just divorced. We still see each other sometimes and we've stayed good friends." "I'm happy you can still talk to her," Wil added. "Yeah, but no more until we get off this island and back to civilization." "Hmm hmm..." Wil replied looking sadly to the ground. "Hey buddy! I'm sure we'll be able to make it. "Yeah, but when..." "Dunno, but we're still able to live, so there's hope!" "Yeah..." "And for your previous question, I really don't know what to think..." "About me and you?" "Yeah, I really love you too, but... well... let me think about it ok? I don't want to give you an immediate answer. But be sure, I'll tell you. OK?" " 'Kay" We continued to chat about everything, but nothing particular. We stood up and resumed our walk. I could say that a good thing about our misfortune, we were able to land at a very pleasant place. I know that some rich people would pay billions dollars to spend their holidays in a place like this. The landscape was incredible, the vegetation was luxuriant and the land seemed to be endless as we walked along the shore. All of a sudden, Wil stopped dead in his tracks and I almost bumped into him. "Hey! Watch out Wil, I'm right behind you!" "Shhhh! Look!" "Where?" I asked. "Over there, to your right" he said quietly. It may seem odd that in a virgin place such as where we were, there was the remains of a trail leading into the forest at our right. I could barely see a sign post near one of the trees beside the trail. "Should we have a look Greg?" Wil asked. "You bet! Go on!" I replied as we walked toward the trail. Arriving at the sign post, I could hardly manage to read it because the paint had faded with the years of exposure to the elements. ************************************************* * United States of America * * * * Restricted Area * * U.S.D.W. Site #212 * * * * No trespassing beyond this point * * Authorized personnel only * * * * Military enforcement will be * * used without any warning * * * * JB.1946.3D-1.1 * ************************************************* "Wow!!!" was only word I was able to say. "What's it mean Greg? USDW?" Wil asked. "If I remember well, it's what the American Department of Defence was called during World War II. I think it means United States Department of War. See, at the bottom of the sign, the sign codification says 1946. I dunno if it's related, but it would make sense!" I replied. "Should we go in the forest to have a look?" "You, didn't read the sign? We could be shot to death!" "Aww c'mon Greg! This sign was printed like 60 years ago!" "Just kidding... Yeah, we'll have to give a proper look, but we have to find some food and I have to have another look on Jake really soon. We've been out for more than three hours walking and chatting. We better get back to camp. We'll all make an expedition here when Jake's better." "Shit..." "What?" "Oh, I'd just said hell yeah, what a marvellous idea!" "Right.... that's what I thought you said..." I replied with a big grin. For sure we were both curious where the trail led and what we might find at the end of it, but that would be an adventure for some other time. Right now I was still worried about Jake. So we turned around and started the walk back to our camp. We arrived there almost one hour later. I didn't think we'd traveled so far from our camp. It was irresponsible to be so far from Matt and Jake, but we lost track of time and distance as we went on. Thinking about it, if we walked at an average of about three mph on flat sand, the military entrance would be approximately at three miles from the camp! I approached the stupid orange raft, like the kids used to say, to give a look on the boys. They were still sleeping, so I turned back and started to gather some food while Wil was already trying to fill fresh water into the bottles. After bringing some coconuts and some red spiky fruits that the kids finally named the Red Punky Balls, we were able to make our late lunch quietly without disturbing our sleeping beauties. "Wil, you'd better wake up those two? It's about time for lunch," I said. "Okay," Wil said as he walked back to the beached raft. Wil came back shortly after with an embarrassed expression on his face. "I can't wake them up..." "Why?" "They're, like, hmm... they're..." he stammered. I snapped back on my feet, ready to run. "They aren't in there?" I asked with some tremor in my voice. "Nooo!! Shhhhhh! Calm down, they're awake, they just... they didn't see me. Matt's too occupied to... and Jake... Matt is... well... he's doing the big 'it' in Jake's bum!" he finally said, a lot more embarrassed. "Oh, ah... hmm. Okay! Let them alone... They'll come after while." I replied. And seeing that Wil was uncomfortable, I asked him "Come here beside me." Wil sat near me, but I patted my hips to tell him to come for a hug. As we were side by side, I hugged him with my arm and stroked his hair with my fingertips. I gave him a big kiss on his forehead. "Wil... let the time go by a little okay? You'll have someone just for yourself one day, you can be sure." "Yeah... it's not that... it's just that I'm not used to hearing my best friend moaning because his dick is pumping one of our friend's ass..." "I understand what you feel. It happened to me one day. I was about your age." "Yeah, but I'm just curious to see. I'd like to see them doing it. I'm finally starting to think that I'm.... well.... like a voyeur. I can't help myself, but I like to see the others nude, or doing it." "You already saw someone doing sex, I mean making love?" I asked. "Uh huh. You were right when you said 'doing sex'. It was Jason and one of his friends, Joshua. The first time, we were all sleeping in Jason's room and they waited for me to go to sleep, but I wasn't sleeping at all. Since it was full moon and even with the dim light, I was able to see it all. I saw Jason lube his thing and shove it easily into Joshua's ass. I don't know why, but I started to stroke myself. He pumped that guy for... maybe like five minutes and cum in his ass. I came almost at the same time. They realized I was watching the whole thing and it didn't seem to bother them at all. After that, they fucked each other anytime I was there. I was really horny watching them every time. That's why I told you I wouldn't mind seeing Jake and Matt doing it." he explained. "Yeah, I understand your situation, but I don't think Jake or Matt will agree to being the object of your perversion..." I chuckled. "Yeah that's why it bugs me. I'm crazy for sex, but have no one to share it with. I can't just wank myself for the rest of my life can I?" he said with a chuckle of his own. "Hell, no! Don't give up, your time will come one day. Just be patient," I replied. "Who has to be patient," Matt said as he approached us, followed by Jake. Wil, thought quickly and told a lie that was near the truth. "Oh, Greg just told me to be patient to go back where we went this morning!" he said, trying to hide the biggest red face I've ever seen. "Oh OK... but why do you have to be patient... there's nothing keeping us here!" Matt said. "Well... 'cause we found an old USA military site out there!" Wil proudly exclaimed. "No shit!!!" Jake and Matt said at the same time. "No shit." "Is it true Greg?" Jake asked. "The whole truth and nothing but the truth!" I replied. So Jake and Matt started to ask us questions about what we saw and everywhere we went. Wil and I tried our best to relate everything. In fact, we told them our whole story, avoiding talking about our conversation. We explained what we found, what was on the sign post. I could tell that the boys wanted to go back there as soon as possible. One thing was more important, I wanted ALL of us to go there. That meant Jake too, but right now, he was still much too weak to be able to make the round trip to the military site. That reminded me to have a look at his wounds after lunch. The boys were disappointed when I told them that we had to wait for Jake to recuperate and that he had to be in better shape before we went back there. They were disappointed, but understood that as a team, we had to help each other, each waiting for the other when needed, and to care and pay attention for everyone's condition. Jake got a big hug from Matt, just a mark of respect, pointless to say anything more. Opposed to what I'd thought, those kids are still incredible together! We ate our lunch, trying to put some fantasy in the food presentation, so it would seem different than what we ate yesterday. I realized that soon, we'd have to find some way to vary our food to balance our diets. Right now, we were able to survive by eating some local vegetables and fruits but in the long term, if we couldn't provide some proper balanced nutrients for our bodies, it could not only make us sick, but put us into a critical situation where undernourishment could lead to starvation, disease, or infection. I made a mental note to think about it and find a solution. I didn't want to panic the boys. It would be like pouring gas on a fire if I told the boys that the food we were eating could be poisonious to us one day. I needed to have a solution at hand before I told them about the problem. In the meantime, I'd have to observe for any mental or physical changes in all of us. While we ate, we enjoyed some small talk about what we expected to find at the military site. The speculation that ran from one to another was amazing. "Hey! Maybe there's still an old plane with plenty of fuel in it!" "Maybe a boat?" "Or maybe it's still occupied by an old soldier abandoned there?" Yup, some of the things were silly, but OK, anyone can dream - and in our situation - why not?! After lunch, I sent Matt and Wil to play in the water because I wanted to have a good look at Jake's condition and I needed to give a closer inspection without being disturbed. I warned the guys to remain near the shore to avoid being bit by small shark if they started splashing themselves. I started giving Jake a closer examination. His wounds were healing quickly, thanks to the salty water that had rinsed them. I sent him to walk around me and watched for any signs of pain. "It's just itching on my hip when I walk," he said. "OK. Nothing when you stop?" I asked. "A little less but, in either way, I'm able to stand it. It's not that painful..." he replied. "OK... From what I see, you're healing fast, but you're still weak. It takes a lot of energy to recover from what you've been through. If you eat like a pig at each mealtime, I'd say you'll be probably OK within five days..." I told him. "Five days!!!" he snapped back. "Probably... but I'm not an expert. We'll do a check on you each day. I don't want you collapsing when we will go to the military site. I need you to recover your health as much as you can." I explained. "Yeah, I understand..." he said. "Also, we'll have to do some exploration on the land. I'm curious about what we may find, and I'm sure all of you are too. We didn't have the time to explore thoroughly since we beached here because we were much too weak and had to find a way to supply ourselves with some food and water. Since Wil found you, we didn't get to explore as much as we wanted to and we won't be able to until you recover completely. So now you know why it's really important for you to get better." "Yeah I know... It's really important because we may find some new kind of food, probably some animals we can eat, fresh water and everything..." he added. "You're a smart young man. I was just starting to think about our diet a little while ago. So now that you're aware of the situation and you want to heal faster, it means avoiding physical or exhausting exercises to keep up your energy." I said while I winked my right eye. "Huh... hmm... what do you mean?" he asked, a little embarrassed. "That means no 'little Matt' in your bum for one week." I replied with a warm smile. "Oh, hmm... You heard us?" he asked. "No, Wil just turned away from the tent as soon he saw you two at it..." I replied. "Oh. Shit." He simply said. "Yeah shit... now listen... You and Matt are the only couple here, and that means that only you two will be having sex together. Not that I condone that two boys your age should be allowed to do it, but... but I know I won't be able to stop you, and I know you're doing it in the proper way... with respect for each other. Just one thing... I know it'll be hard to tell us, but ask for privacy when you need it. That way we won't fall in on you in the middle of the action." I explained with a smile. "Oh, we wouldn't mind anyway... we're all living together anyway. I think it would be normal that someone would catch us sometime... Matt and I talked about that this morning... and we heard what you and Wil were saying. But don't tell Wil! In fact, we don't mind if he wants to watch us..." he replied with a small grin. "I don't think it would be correct Jake, whatever your and Matt's intentions are..." I added. "I told you we don't mind. Anyway, knowing how Wil is, I'm sure if you forbid him to see us doing it, he'll try to watch anyway." Jake said. "I was sure you'd say that." I said. "So, there's no problem." "Maybe not... Anyhow, I still don't like that kind of sexual behaviour from young guys your age, but who am I to judge. Let's make a deal, I'll close my eyes to that one and you two do whatever you need to, but if I smell shit, it'll be no sex for a long time and no Wil to watch you. Am I clear?" I said in a humorous father tone. "Yeah, clear as crystal," Jake chuckled. "Another thing. What if I walk in while you're doing it?" "No problem either... Just don't watch us 'kay?" he asked, then with a wink of his own, he added, "unless you want to too." "No problem there!" I chuckled myself. Once it was settled, we continued to chat until Matt and Wil joined us. We put some clothes on during the afternoon because it became chillier as some clouds rolled in. By the way the sky was looking, I expected we'd have a rainstorm during the evening. We decided to set our camp closer to the forest to avoid the tide reaching us. We packed all our belongings under the old raft so it wouldn't get soaked, then we climbed aboard the newer raft that still had its tent top. We ate our lunch in the evening as the rain started to pour. Meanwhile, we talked about our life, our family, and our hopeful future while we had to stay on this island. Tonight I didn't have to think about stoking a fire. It was just too wet and not fit for man nor beast to be in an unsheltered area. We didn't see any evidence this morning of any curious creatures being around, so I felt safe. Soon, we all felt asleep and called it a night as the rain started to shower our tent much harder. Just the sound of the rain drops on the nylon was enough to put us into dreamland.
