Chapter 13

“Boys, there's no exercises this morning, we have something more important to do.” James told the boys as they all met in the hallway.

“What?” They all asked as one.

“Just never you mind, but I want all three of you to go and pack a bag with at least five changes of clothes, grab your toiletries, and any other personal items you care to take with us. Your computers though are a must, because you'll be required to do some school work each day still, but probably only a couple hours a day. You may wish to grab your cameras and your MP3 players and probably even your cell phones. I'll grab the diapers that we'll need, but you might all want to pack a thing of wipes and some diaper rash cream.” James said.

The boys all stood there in confusion for a few moments before going and doing what they were told to do. James followed Nathan and started his packing as well. All three boys grabbed all that they would need and all that they wanted, taking James' suggestions to heart and grabbing it all. Within about half an hour they were all finished grabbing everything that they would be needing. As they were exiting their bedrooms, Michael and Tony exited theirs.

“What are you two doing up so early for, it's at least a full hour before you normally get up?” Mitchel asked them as they came out.

“To see you guys off of course. You're gonna be gone a few weeks at least, so I want to see you before you go. Oh right, you have no idea about that yet, do you?” Michael grinned cheekily, confusing the boys further. Now all they knew was that they were going to be gone for a while.

“Oh.” Was about all Mitchel could think to say.

“Don't worry boys, you'll find out soon enough.” Michael smiled.

“So, you boys gonna enjoy your few weeks alone here?” James asked.

“I doubt it. Tony was called yesterday and he has to head out to Northern Alberta again in a couple days, and he'll probably be gone for a week again, possibly more. Oh well, not much we can do about it.” Michael shrugged.

“Oh, well you knew that he was gonna have to again soon, it's been a while.” Mitchel pointed out.

“Yeah, doesn't mean I have to like it though. Well, you guys look as if you're pretty much ready to go, so are you heading out right away?”

“Yeah, we just have to pile all our things in the van, then we'll come back and say goodbye to you two, and then we'll let you go back to sleep for another couple hours.” James smiled warmly.

“Oh, we'll just come to the garage with you, no point in you guys all coming back in.” Tony said.

“Oh, okay. Come on boys, let's get this show on the road.” James said, hoisting his suitcases up and leading the way.

The boys, not knowing anything at all, just grabbed their bags and followed suit as well. As soon as they made it there, they all loaded everything into the back of the van.

“Okay, you guys have lots of fun on this trip. I wish we could join you, because it sounds like it'll be a blast, although you have no idea anything yet. Stay safe and make sure to come back in one piece, please.” Michael said, and then went and gave all of them hugs, holding his brother just a few seconds longer.

“Thanks Michael. You and Tony have a good time as well, and try not to be too lonely, go out and have some fun too.”

“Okay, we will. Well, you should probably head out, you only have an hour to get there and you still have to make a stop before you go.” Tony smiled.

“Right, yeah, we better.” James said.

With a final goodbye all around, James got them on their way. The boys still had no idea where they were going or what they were doing, but when they pulled up to Benji's place, they were more confused.

“What are we here for James?” Nathan asked curiously.

“Jeff and Benji are coming with us.” James answered simply.

“Oh.” Was all Nathan said, and before he could have said anything further, both of them came out of the house, Jeff locking it on the way out, and then they came and loaded everything into the van.

“I see you were all ready to go. Feel free to take the back seat you two.” James said as they opened the side door.

“Yeah, we just finished about ten minutes ago and were waiting for you, although Benji had no idea who or what we were waiting for.” Jeff smiled.

“That's good. It's nice to finally meet you in person though by the way, since we've only met over the phone.”

“Yeah, it's good to finally meet you as well. I really must thank you though for the opportunity.”

“It's no problem, I couldn't do something like this without the boys' best friend along, and he wouldn't come without you, so it only makes sense. Well, go ahead and hop on in and we'll head out, because we should probably get going.”

“Oh right.” Jeff said and the two of them climbed in, and Mitchel, who was sitting by the door they came in, closed it behind them.

“So, where exactly are we going Dad?” Isaac asked.

“You'll see, don't worry so much.” James smiled and took off.

Fifteen or so minutes later they pulled into the train station and went and parked in the long term parking lot, paid the kings ransom for the privilege, and then grabbed their bags and headed in.

“Okay, so clearly we're taking a train trip somewhere, care to tell us where yet?” Mitchel asked this time, but Nathan had pretty much figured it out, because he had a calculated look on his face, and then smiled.

“Ask your brother, it seems he's figured it out!”

“Huh.” Both Mitchel and Isaac said, looking to Nathan.

“We're taking the train back east to see Grandpa and Grandma, aren't we?”

“Yep, but we're gonna take our time getting there and coming back. We're taking two different ways, one way there and another back, and on each trip, we're stopping at all the great places to check them out. Most of the time we're stopping in the morning then catching the later train back out, but on a couple, we'll have to stay a night or two, depending upon the reasons for it. Once there, we'll probably stay a week, but we'll figure all that out while there. Don't forget though, Grandma has to work, so she might not be able to spend lots of time with us, but you can bet that she'll probably take at least a couple days off.” James smiled.

“Wicked.” All four boys said as one, even though Benji had no idea who the people they would be visiting were.

They headed into the train station and James went to the counter to get everything all arranged, a few minutes later, he had everything they needed. He gathered all the others up and they headed to the correct loading area. The train was just pulling in, so as soon as it was ready, they took their bags and headed in, looking for the car that was to be theirs, and it very nearly was all theirs too, because it appeared as if there were only three other people on it, it was two parties. They all found their rooms, and found them to be surprisingly spacious, considering it was on a train. By the time they got all their things squared away, they were not really going to be unpacking much, since they would not always be staying on the train, they were just starting to pull away from the station. They all met out in the hall at almost the same time.

“So, how are everyone's accommodations?” James asked.

“Cool.” They all said.

“This is my first time on a train, as is it for Benji, and it's surprising how much space we actually have. The bathroom's a bit on the small side, but not too bad.” Jeff said.

“Same.” The other three boys said.

“Yeah, I was on a train once, back when I was a kid, but this is far nicer, bigger and better set up than I remember it being. Well, I know we didn't have breakfast, and I doubt you guys did either, so let's go get breakfast.” James smiled.

“Okay.” Everyone said, they were all very good with that.

“So, does this train have an exercise area for us to use as well?” Nathan asked as they were sitting down.

“No, the only way to exercise is to get out and run after the train. They don't like it when you do that though.: James said with an amazingly straight face.

“Gee, I wonder why!” Nathan shook his head while rolling his eyes.

“Yes, they do. That's why we're traveling on this train, they have all the amenities for everyone. They don't have a pool, but they have a hot tub and a sauna in the gym car, and probably not so surprising, but they say that they have no free weights. I wouldn't dream of using them on a train anyway, mind you, not a huge fan of them at the best of times. We all have a TV in our rooms and there's internet connection, but they do say that they can't guarantee a hundred percent coverage at all times, but it's most of the time. There's also a lounge car that has all that we need for relaxing, their website says they do nightly movies in there as well, and there's lots of games to play as well. It should be a nice trip.”

“Cool.” All four boys said.

A few moments later they received their menus, so they all perused them and decided what they wanted. Once ordered, they all sat around talking for a bit, until their meals arrived, so they ate. After breakfast, it was decided that they would all hit the gym and do a nice workout, and they spent a little more than an hour and a half in there. They all headed back to their rooms to get cleaned, diapered and dressed.

“Okay boys, grab your computers and you can go to the lounge car and sit back and get some school work done. I'm gonna grab my computer and do some writing and listen to some music.” James told the boys once they all met back in the hall.

“I'm gonna grab my sketch book and do some drawing.” Jeff said, sounding happy with the arrangement as well.

For the next several hours that was what they all did, they all enjoyed their time working as the train gently swayed back and forth and side to side, it was quite relaxing. The boys managed to get a lot of work done, although after four hours, Nathan switched to the book he was working on and continued writing.

For the rest of the day, they all enjoyed themselves, they played games together and watched the nightly movie, then they all headed to their bedrooms for the night, where it was sure to be a good night all around. None of them had ever had sex when their entire room was rocking gently, so they all felt that it would increase the sensation, and they were not wrong either. The shortest love making session was Jeff and Benji, and that was only because Benji passed out after an hour and a half of the best sex possible. Mitchel and Isaac were shortly behind them at one hour and forty minutes or so, but James and Nathan beat out both couples at almost two hours long, before James just passed out cold, mid orgasm. They all had great smiles on their faces as they slept. Fortunately, they were all diapered for the night though.

Their first stop came at just after noon the following day, they were in Edmonton, and James was treating them to two nights at the mall and amusement park, they headed in and got their rooms for their stay. As soon as they were unpacked and ready to go, they hit the mall, all deciding that they would leave the amusement park until the following day, so that they could spend the whole day there. All of them were amazed at a mall being so large, and they managed to look around for several hours, and while they all saw many a thing that they would like to have, they abstained from buying too much, because they did not want to have to carry it all around with them until they finally made it home. They all did find a few things that they wanted though and did take.

That night, given their exercise session the night before, was amazingly tame, and even though they all had a good workout, if you wish to call it that, it was definitely far shorter.

The next fay they spent the entire day in the amusement park and had a great time, and finally at just after midnight, they all stumbled into their rooms and crashed for the night, none of them having the energy to play around at all. Then again, they had played hard all day long already. The next morning they woke up with almost not enough time to make it back to the train station to board their next train, but they did make it and went and got settled into their rooms. As with their first day on the train, this day too was much the same.

Their trip to Grandma and Grandpas home was great, they stopped almost every day and had fun and saw many neat things and learned lots too. They also made sure to get a good routine exercise in every morning, and a not so routine, but far more enjoyable exercise session in every night. As soon as they made it there though, James went and rented a van for all of them, it was already booked and waiting for them, he just had to give them his credit card and signatures in triplicate so that they could make everything legal. They headed to their hotel and got their rooms, and as soon as they were all settled, James told Nathan to call his grandpa.

“Hey Grandpa, how's it going?”

“Good, and you, how are you enjoying your trip, and are you gonna be here soon?”

“We just got to the hotel and got settled in.”

“Oh, that's great. I was surprised not to hear from you during the trip to say you were coming.”

“Sorry, with as busy as we've been and as much fun as we've been having, I actually haven't even thought of calling anyone. Are you at home, and what's your address so that we can put it into the GPS so that we can get there.”

“That's okay, I understand. I'm not at home right now though, I'm in an office talking to some snot nosed little brat who's trying to steal one of my inventions, yet again. I can understand their not wanting to pay too much, so as to protect their bottom line, but when I tell the little puke that it cost more than three times to develop than he's offering, and have told him that repeatedly, then I start to get bitchy. I think he'll come around though soon, because it's either that or I leave and he never gets another chance.” Nathan could actually hear his grandpa grinning.

“Ah, and said snot nosed little brat is right there and can hear every word you say, isn't he?” Nathan laughed.

“You bet he is, I have no problem telling him it right to his face, and I have too. I'm old enough to be this kids grandfather as well, and here he is treating me like I'm some dumb uneducated kid, when I've had about three times more schooling than he has. Yeah, well this bird don't fly that way, I know what it's worth, and I know exactly what his main competitor will offer tomorrow morning when I go talk to him, so I think he'll come around. Anyway, I'll probably be home in about half an hour, unless Mr. Stingy here wants to loosen off his tight puckered ass, in which case I could be a few hours, so why don't I call you when I'm done.”

“Okay, but you really do enjoy this part of your job just a little too much, you know that right!”

“Yes, and your grandma loves informing me of that almost daily.”

“I'll just bet she does. Okay, call when you're done then, try not to have too much fun.” Nathan laughed.

“Will do, talk to you later.” Grandpa smiled and they hung up.

Nathan informed the others as to what was happening, and they had to laugh as well, especially when Nathan explained to Jeff and Benji exactly what Grandpa did for a living and what he was actually trying to do.

“So, what should we do in the meantime while we wait for Grandpa to call?” James asked.

“Well, I don't know about the rest of you guys, but we're almost out of diapers, so we should probably go find a good store and stock up again.” Isaac suggested.

“Probably not a bad idea. Let's load up and head out.” James smiled, and all were good with this, so they headed out.

They found a good medical supply place nearby and they all went in. This time Jeff said he had the two packs of diapers that they would be buying, because James had bought the last couple, and they did not want or need more than that while traveling. After that they headed back to the hotel so that they could sit back and relax. The relaxation though was short lived, because not even half an hour after getting there, Grandpa called.

“Hey there Nathan, I just got home, so you can come over any time, and Grandma should be here in a few minutes as well.”

“Oh, great. What's your address so that we can get there?” Nathan asked, so Grandpa told him and he wrote it down. “Thanks.”

“No prob, see you in a few then.”

“Okay, bye.” They both said, and as soon as they were all ready, they headed out, even though Jeff said that he and Benji would stay behind, this was for family. Of course everyone told them that was nonsense, and told them to come too.

“Hi Grandpa.” Everyone said, all except Jeff and Benji of course, as Nicholas opened the door.

“Hi guys, it's really good to see you again. Come on in.” He smiled warmly and opened the door for them to all come in.

“Grandpa, these are our friends Jeff, and his lover son Benji.” Nathan said in way of introduction as soon as they were inside.

“Nathan, you shouldn't have told him that.” Jeff gasped.

“It's okay, he knows about James and I, and he already knew about you two anyway, he figured it out one night while we were talking and I was telling him about you guys. He asked if you had the same relationship as we share, and of course I answered yes. Don't worry though, he won't say anything at all.”

“That's right. You'll find that there's very little that offends me, I'd really only be offended if one of you didn't want what you share, but that's not the case, so no worries there.” Grandpa said warmly.

“Thanks. It's good to meet you though.” Jeff said, shaking the mans hand.

“And it's good to finally meet you as well.” He said to Jeff and then turned to everyone else. “Grandma just called a few seconds before you arrived, saying that she was running a few minutes late, but that she'd be here pretty quick. In fact, that's probably her now that I hear.” Grandpa smiled, and a few seconds later, Grandma did in fact walk in.

“Oh, it's so good to see you boys again. Come give Grandma hugs.” She said happily and they all lined up and gave hugs.

“So, how was your trip guys?” Grandma asked after she too was introduced to the two that she had not yet met.

“It was great.” They all said, and then the boys all told the grandparents all about their trip, everything that they had seen and done, and how much fun they had had doing it all.

“That sounds like a great trip. I think that our next trip out we might just have to do the same thing, take a nice relaxing vacation, instead of always feeling rushed. That's the great thing about train travel, there's just no rushing it.”

“That's for sure.” James and Jeff both said at the same time.

They all went to the living room and sat back and relaxed for about an hour, talking and laughing more, the two new boys getting to know the grandparents, and by the time it was called dinner time, Jeff and Benji felt that they now had grandparents as well. Grandma and Grandpa took all of them to a nearby restaurant that served excellent food and they all stuffed themselves silly.

“Thanks a lot for dinner guys. I think I speak for all of us when I say we're just gonna drop you guys off at home, then we're heading to the hotel for the rest of the night.” James smiled as they all finished up.

“Sounds good to us. I have to work tomorrow, then I have the next five days off, I go back to work on Monday, so we can spend the time together as much as possible.” Grandma said.

“And I'm taking the rest of the week off work as well, not that I strictly work mind you, but I'm not making any appointments.” Grandpa added. He had told him that the snot nosed brat from earlier had in fact finally offered him what his concoction was actually worth, as well as rights to buy as much as they needed at any time and at what rates.

“That's really good. Unless anyone has any other plans for tomorrow though, I think I want to just stay in for the most part tomorrow and really lay back and relax. We've done so much lately that I'm bagged.” Nathan said.

“That sounds like a really good idea to me too, now that you mention it.” James said and Jeff nodded his agreement.

“Okay, just come over the day after tomorrow, whenever you get up and at em then and we'll go do something fun.” Grandpa smiled.

A few moments later they were at the house, and with final goodbyes all around, Grandma and Grandpa headed to the house, while the rest of the crew headed back to their hotel for the night.

As soon as they made it there, all the couples headed to their own private rooms for the night, where they all had some nice loving cuddles, and some even nicer lovemaking. It was a really good night for them all.

The next morning, they all headed to the hotels pool and hot tub, and they all had a nice swim, although they really did not exercise all that much, more just a light workout. They mostly just relaxed and played in the cool water, as well as in the hot tub and even the sauna. After that, the boys sat back and did some school work, while Jeff did some drawing and James did some writing. The rest of their day also passed in relative peace and quiet.

“Good morning boys, how was your day of rest yesterday?” Grandma asked them all when they entered the house the next morning.

“Really nice.” The boys all said, for they were probably the most tired after everything they had done for the past week. The adults at least took the time to sit back and relax when they needed to, whereas the boys usually just kept going and going and going and going. You get the picture.

“That's good. What would you like to do today?” Grandpa asked.

“Whatever you guys want to do is okay by us.” Mitchel smiled.

“Okay. There's not much to do here, unfortunately, but we're gonna take you boys to the arcade in the next city today. It's a really fun place to go, it's huge, and they have a lot to do there.”

“Okay, cool.” The boys all said as one.

So that was what they went and did for the rest of the day. Even though James did try and pay for things, Grandma or Grandpa was always there to bat his hands away so that they could pay for it. They all played at the arcade almost all day long, all of them having a serious blast. They stopped for both lunch and dinner there, it was revolting to say the least, it was expensive to put it mildly, and the boys loved it. Well, except Nathan, and even though James admitted that this would have been great before, he too had not enjoyed the greasy fast food. Both would have been far more happy with going to a real restaurant, but there was no point in leaving. None of the others realized it though, so that was good. They ended up stumbling into their hotel very late that night, none of them playing at all before going to bed, no one was complaining about that.

The next day, after breakfast and morning exercises, they met Grandma and Grandpa at their house, and they took them all to a local homeless shelter and soup kitchen. They had stopped at a large grocery store of course, and then took it all there and cooked a very large lunch for everyone that was there. Jeff had to admit that it did feel good to help all the others like that as well.

For the rest of their stay there, they all had a lot of fun together, even though one day they did not leave the house at all, but before they all knew it, it was time to go. It was another tearful farewell, but Grandma and Grandpa promised, that come hell or high water, they were going to come out for Christmas break, and the boys all knew that they would be there.

The trip back home was another two week long trip, going a different way than they came, and each day they made stops and saw all the sights. Their favorite side trip had to be their two day stop at Drumheller National Park, it was a very interesting place, and they all learned a huge amount and had even more fun.

Finally, after almost exactly five weeks to the day of leaving, they all stumbled in the house, all glad to be home. They took all their belongings and got them put away, and then kicked back and relaxed in just their diapers for an entire day. They did not see Michael or Tony until the next morning.

“How was your trip guys?” Michael asked the next morning when they got up. The guys had all had their morning exercises and breakfast, and they were just sitting there doing their school work and or writing in the living room with the music station playing quietly on the TV.

“It was really nice, but it feels good to be home again.” Mitchel answered for all of them.

“I bet. Five weeks is a hell of a trip. I bet it was a lot of fun though.” He smiled.

For the next hour, the boys happily told the two of them all about their trip.

“Wow, no wonder you're so tired.”

“Yeah, and the boys dragged me everywhere with them and made me run most of the time. So, did you ever get the check from the car company?” James asked.

“Yeah, it arrived a couple days after you guys left. Everything's paid off, not that we had much left mind you after you paid all the business stuff off for us.” Michael answered.

“That's really good. So, have you two thought it over any, will you stay living here then?” James asked.

“Yes, but only on two conditions.” Tony answered this time.

“And they are?” James asked curiously.

“One is that you accept this,” Michael answered, handing over an envelope, “and two, that you at least allow us to pay rent. We'll pay whatever you think is fair for room and board.”

“I can't take this Michael, it's you guys'.” James said softly, not even looking inside, expecting what he would find.

“Yes you can, but what do you think's in there, you didn't even open it?”

“I know as well as you do that you've given me a check, how big I don't know, for all that we did for your store, but you know as well as I do, that this just isn't necessary.”

“Yes, it's a check, but it's a condition for us to stay here. I don't like feeling like I owe anyone anything, and here you are giving me far too much. I know you did it because we're family and all, but I still can't accept it. You never let me know anything about how much all that cost, and I'm sure that this hundred thousand dollars barely covers half of it, but it's that or nothing. Look, you didn't have to do squat for me, but you did, and I want you to accept this, the same as you made me accept what you gave to me. And we'll pay some rent as well, at least a couple hundred a month, preferably more though.”

“Fine, I'll accept it, on one condition.”

“And that is?”

“That I donate it all to charity under your name.”

“It's now your money, so what you do with it is up to you.” Michael laughed.

“Good, because it wasn't up for negotiation. As for rent, I think I could accept you guys paying two hundred a month, that should cover all the food you eat, but not a penny more.” James said stubbornly.

“Fine. Thanks so much for everything.” Michael smiled and hopped up and hugged James.

“And thank you as well. We may be an odd family, but family none the less, long live family who understands and loves each other.” James said, a few tears trickling out, and all of them ended up in one large group hug.

Grandma and Grandpa did end up coming out for Christmas break, but they surprised everyone by saying that they were not going back, other than to go back and pack up all their belongings. They had taken the train out, and they too enjoyed the slow gentle pace, enjoying many of the same sights and places that James and the boys had enjoyed during their trip. They did go back though to pack up all that they wanted, shipped it out, sold their cars and all that they did not want, and then took the train back home. There was a huge welcome home party the day they got back for good, held of course at Steven and Greg's restaurant, it was a beautiful party.

Michael and Tony stayed living with the others for only a couple years, before they told them of their plans to get married, find a house of their own and adopt a mess of kids. When the time came, James helped them in any way he could, and they found a great house, his old house, Tony really liked it, and Michael thought it was a bit too grand, but the eight kids they adopted really made it feel like home. Of course James took no money for it, all they had to pay for was all the utilities and taxes.

Jeff and Benji lived a nice life together. They did not adopt any children, although they were known to help out hard done by families, and they donated their time as often as they could for the cause of helping those who did not have enough.

Mitchel and Isaac also got married in their early twenties and bought the house next door when it came on the market, or more accurately, Nathan bought it for them, since his bank account was every bit as large as James'. Shortly thereafter, they too adopted a couple boys, cute little four and five year old brothers who had been brutally abused. The boys helped those two little boys out a great deal, and by the time they were in their teens, there was almost no hint of the abuse they had suffered. The boys too ended up being gay, and they too loved their diapers, although they truly did need them as well, full time, both bladder and bowel, but they still loved them as well.

James and Nathan, now they were special. They never adopted, mostly because they were still listed as father and son, but they fostered many boys over the years that just needed a caring place to go to until they could find something better. Most of the time the boys went to family, other times they had to find a caring family for them, but they always helped every boy that crossed their path. At least twice a month, sometimes more, sometimes less, they all also went to the soup kitchen and helped out, all of them continuing their work of helping out the needy. Nathan though was the main driving force behind this though, he always said it was their lot in life to help those less fortunate than they. Every Christmas was the same though, they always went and bought huge amounts of clothes and toys and passed them all out at every shelter they could. They always bought huge numbers of thick warm blankets, coats and gloves as well and passed them all out, if they ran out, they went and got more, they never wanted anyone to go cold.

Nathan also decided to buy up a large piece of property on his eighteenth birthday and he had a huge homeless shelter built that would house up to as many as a hundred people at any given time. Isaac and Mitchel said that they wanted to take the day to day operations of this on for themselves, since they did not have actual jobs, and Nathan gave them both excellent wages, but they did do a huge amount as well. There were guidance offices, a huge kitchen, and a few recreation areas for everyone. Nathan paid for everything and just wrote it off, but he could afford the roughly one million dollars a year operating budget, because as he got older, he sent in more and more books, wrote even more than that, and was making almost that much every month.

Almost every one of both Nathan and James' books were also made into movies, almost every one of them were extremely well received. This was of course little to no surprise, because their books were both great, although it has to be said, that Nathan's did end up being just a bit better liked, but the difference was maybe one percent.

By the time that Nathan and James were together for one year, James was back down to his pre accident weight, his flabbiness had pretty much all disappeared, and he had even more muscle tone than he did when he was in his prime. James of course blamed Nathan daily for this, and thanked him repeatedly as well.

It is truly amazing what finding exactly what you need in life can do to your self esteem and your general outlook on life, and James had to remind himself daily of what he would still be like if it were not for the most perfect boy in the world that quite literally just dove right into his heart.
