Thank you and enjoy. They pulled into Jon's driveway then walked next door to see what's up. Just as the got to the door Ms. Parker open it, apparently she was living. She and Jon introduced themselves but then she said she had to go and said her good-byes to everyone and left. They all went inside. Christine told them that Ms. Parker was moving in with her mother to take care of her. And she wanted to know if Jon would consider watching Michael for a longer period of time. Jon of course said yes, which made Michael very happy. Christine told Jon that if he ever had to stop just tell her, and then went on to thank him for everything that he has done. Over the summer Jon and Michael became the best of friends. Jon became a friend, brother, and father figure to Michael. Christine was happy that Michael had a male figure in his life. Michael spent most of his time at Jon's. He actually spent the night over there at least 3 out of 7 nights a week. Jon taught Michael how to play the guitar and some programming languages. But soon the fun would come to an end, well at least slow down. Summer's end was here, and Michael would have to go back to school. Now because Christine does work a few hours after school lets out, Jon said that he would pick up Michael and watch him. She was happy with that, and so was Michael. The first half of the school year went by slowly for Michael. But during it, Jon went to all the Father/Son events that Michael wanted to go to. Jon also helped Michael with all of his schoolwork, and for once Michael kept a B+ average, which made Christine very happy. Christmas time was close, and Jon couldn't think of what to get Michael and vice versa. Jon has already gotten Michael just about everything that he wanted in the 6 months that they've known each other. And Michael doesn't even know what he could possibly get Jon, since Jon seems to have everything already. Jon finally got an idea but had to ask Christine first, and even then he might not be able to do it. With Christine's permission Jon started making phone calls. Where Michael lives, they don't get much snow, if any. So why not bring the snow to them. After making a few calls, and offering some bonuses, he got one company to actually come around 5am Christmas day, so that Michael could wake up to snow in his yard. Hopefully Michael won't wake up while it is being done though. Michael on the other hand couldn't think of what to get Jon. He thought long and hard but was coming up empty. He decided to ask his mom, but she didn't really know either. She just told Michael, "Why don't you make him something?". Well that got Michael interested, but what could he make and quick. And then it hit him; Michael is a very good artist. And Jon has been wanting him to make or draw him something, but he never had time really. He was always spending time with Jon instead. Michael has given Jon some of his old stuff, but never made anything for Jon himself. So now is his chance. Christmas Eve popped up on them in no time. Michael had just finished his painting but wasn't going to wrap it, instead he would wait till last and had it to Jon. Jon had gotten Michael a game and a big box that had a note in it saying look outside. Jon had also gotten Christine some perfume, and Michael got her a necklace with the help of Jon. That night with Jon now being part of the family, he was asked by Christine to stay the night and be with them for Christmas morning. Jon accepted it, and Michael was very happy about that. It was hard to get Michael to go to bed though. He wanted to stay up all night with Jon. But eventually he fell asleep on the couch and Jon put him into bed. Around 5am the people to make the snow showed up and Jon met them outside. He watched as they did their job, and to his surprise it wasn't as noisy as he thought it would be. When they got done he paid them the rest of their money and said his goodbye. Jon then went back inside to try and get some sleep on the couch, but just as he closed his eyes Michael came walking in looking like a zombie. "Morning sleepy head." Jon said. "Morning." Michael replied while rubbing the sleep out of his eyes. Michael then walked over to Jon and laid down beside him on the couch and fell back to sleep. Jon didn't complain, it might let him get some sleep too. About an hour later, Christine came in and took a picture of them asleep. The flash from the camera woke them both up. "Oh I'm sorry for waking you two, but you just looked so cute, I had to take a picture." Christine says, "Besides I think it's time to open up some presents don't you." Michael looked at both his mom and Jon and then a wicked smile formed on his face. With that he quickly woke all the way up and jumped for the gifts. Jon told him to wait to open up the box with the note. Michael had some good gifts. He got some clothes, games, and art supplies. Christine opened up her gifts and loved them. Christine had gotten Jon a gift too. When he opened it, he looked kind of dumb founded. But he soon realized what it was. She had given him a key to her house, and some legal papers saying that if anything should happen to her that he will be named Michael's guardian. Also a note, saying that he had become part of their family and will treated as such. That not knowing what she should get him, she figured that the gift of family is the best gift she could give him. By the time he got done reading the letter Jon actually had a tear run down his face. "What's wrong." Michael asked when he noticed Jon's tear. "Oh, um. Nothing, just happy." Jon answered. "OK, I'll be right back." Michael said. He left before opening the box with the note. "Thank you." Jon said to Christine. "No. Thank you." Christine says, You have done so much for us, for Michael. You are part of our family now." With that they gave each other a hug. And then they heard Michael coming back. He was holding a canvas. "Here you go." Michael said while handing the picture over to Jon. "What's this." Jon said while taking it. "Oh Michael, this is awesome. Is this for me?" "Yep." Michael said with a smile. "Oh man this is so cool. Thank you so much." Jon said while looking at the painting. The painting is of a boy and man throwing a baseball around. It looked almost just like Michael and Jon. Up in the sky was a Dragon and Tiger's face looking over them, almost as if protecting them. It all looked so realistic. "I'm glad you like it." Michael said. "Like it I love it." Jon said while putting it down and giving Michael a hug. FLASH. Christine took another picture. "OK, now open up that one." Jon said while pointing at the unopened box. "OK." Michael said while running over and tearing at the box. He looked dumbfounded. "What?" "What is it?" Christine asked. "It's a note saying to look out side." Michael replied. "Well then go look." Jon said. Michael got up and walked to the front door and opened it. His mouth dropped and his eyes went wide. He couldn't believe what he was seeing. "How? Who? I can't believe this." Was all Michael could say. "What?" Jon and Christine asked at the same time. "It snowed." Michael said while turning around to face them. He noticed the smile across their face. "What?" "Merry Christmas." Jon said. Michael ran to Jon and gave him a big hug. "Hey you better go get dressed if you want to play in the snow." Christine said breaking the hug that Jon was getting. "She's right, better dress warm." Jon said. With that Michael ran to his room to get dressed. He came back in no time, dressed in a jacket, jeans, shirt, and gloves. But he forgot to put on his shoes and Jon noticed that. "Hey you can't go out like that." Jon said. "Huh, what do you mean?" Michael asked. "Aren't you forgetting something." Jon said and looked down at Michael's feet. "Doh!" Michael said and ran back to his room, put on his shoes and ran back. He then went outside and proceeded to make snowballs. Jon went outside, and as soon as he stepped outside he was under attack from the snowballs Michael had been making. The two of them had a snowball fight going in no time. Soon a couple of kids out riding there new bikes came by and asked if they could join in, Jon asked Michael and Michael said the more the merrier. So now it was 3 boys against 1 man. Christine finally came out and helped Jon out, but it was still 3 against 2 and so the kids won in the end. After throwing snowballs around for awhile they all decided to work on a snowman. It turned out pretty good. It was around 3pm when they decided to call it a day and said goodbye to the other 2 boys and went inside for something to eat. Later that night, Michael got permission to spend the night with Jon. Since he hadn't in awhile, because he would stay home and work on the picture. When they got over to Jon's, Jon first hung up his painting in the living room and then went online for a minute. He turned his ICQ on and put it on "away mode", and wrote in the message Merry Christmas and Michael. By now all his friends knew that if the word Michael was in the message, the Michael was spending the night. After he got off he went to the living to find Michael on the couch watching a Christmas show. Michael was already dressed for bed, or should I say undressed. All he was wearing as usual was a pair of boxer, and Taz ones at that. Jon is a real Taz freak, and bought Michael a few boxers with Taz on them. Jon went and sat down at the other end of the couch to watch the show with Michael. After a few minutes Michael worked his way down to Jon and laid his head in Jon's lap. "Comfy." Jon asked with a giggle. "Yep." Michael replied. "Well, did you like your Christmas presents?" Jon asked. "Oh yes. It was the best Christmas ever." Michael says, "What about you? Did you like the painting?" "It was the best gift I've ever gotten." Jon replied. "Really, I was afraid that you wouldn't like it as a gift." Michael said. "Nonsense, it was a great gift." Jon says, "It came from your heart and that all that matters to me." Jon was surprised when Michael sat up, gave him a hug, and said, "I love you." Jon hugged Michael back and said, "I love you too." It was the first time they said that to each other. But what surprised Jon more was when Michael looked up and gave Jon a kiss on the lips. Jon kissed back by reflex, but soon realized what happened and stopped. "Woe, I don't think we should do that." Jon said. "Why?" Michael asked. "Do you remember the conversation we had when you wanted to sleep with me?" Jon asked. "Yeah and?" Michael replied. "Well people would think it's wrong and I could get into a lot of trouble." Jon answered. "But I love you and you love me, so what's wrong with showing it?" Michael asked then said, "Besides I know you wanted to." Jon's face went white and he said, "What? What are you talking about?" Michael got a small grin on his face and said, "It's all right. I love you too. While you were in the shower once, I got online and on your ICQ to talk to Pete, but he wasn't on. So I was messing around with it and looked as some of your past messages." "Oh my god." Jon said and a tear rolled down his face. Michael wiped it away and said, "Hey now, it's all right. I said I love you too." "No it's not all right. I shouldn't, we shouldn't be like this." Jon says, "And we definitely shouldn't kiss or do anything else like that again." Now Michael looked sad. "Why? If you love me and I love you that's all that matters. It shouldn't matter what everyone else thinks." Michael said. "I know it shouldn't matter, but it does." Jon says, "If anyone was to find out, or just think that I did something to you then I would probably go to jail and never get to see you again." "It's not fair." Michael said. Jon gives Michael another hug and says, "I know, I know. But hey we can still love each other, we just can't show it like we want to. OK?" "I guess." Michael says, "Can I still sleep with you though?" "Yeah." Jon says, "We better go ahead and go to bed. What do you say?" "Yeah I guess." Michael answers and gets up off the couch. They both walk to Jon's bedroom holding hands. They gave each other another hug and laid down to go to bed. Over the next four months Jon and Michael got even closer, if that was possible. Now that they knew how the other felt, it was like a weight lifted off their shoulders. They talked about how they felt from time to time, but mostly they acted like they did before, but now they didn't have to hide their feelings from one another. They never kissed again, but they did hug a lot and hold hands from time to time. Michael even talked to Pete more openly. And how time flew in these last months. Christine's birthday was in Feb. and Jon got her a day at the spa and took her out for dinner. But before they knew it, it was April and Michael's birthday was almost upon them. Jon of course didn't know what to get Michael, so he asked Christine, who said "Anything you give him, he will love because it came from you." And how true that was. But Jon wanted to get Michael something special. "Hey Michael, what do you want for your birthday?" Jon decided to ask. "I don't know." Michael replied. "Well, what do you really want that I can get you?" Jon asked. "Well there is one thing." Michael said. "Then tell me." Jon said. "You promise not to get mad?" Michael asked. Jon could tell it was something important to Michael. "Hey I could never get mad at you. Just tell me." Jon said. "Well, I still want for us to kiss." Michael says, "I know you said no, but that's what I really want." That kind of took Jon by surprise. He thought they had settled that at Christmas. He could see that Michael was being serious, and he wanted to fulfill his wish. But how could he, he knew it wouldn't be right. So he just said, "Well let me think about it, OK?" "OK." Michael replied. So over the next few days, Jon thought about it over and over. He knew that he wanted it and Michael wanted it, but does that make it right. He asked friends online, but they really couldn't say either. "Oh what to do?" Jon thought to himself, "If I don't then Michael might think I don't care enough for him. But what if we get caught. And kissing will lead to other things eventually. Oh what to do?" The day arrived. It was a Saturday Michael had a few friends over and got some good gifts. Jon got him a few things too, which made Michael look funny at Jon. After the party was over Michael got permission to spend the night at Jon's. After getting over to Jon's home, they played around with the games and guitar. Michael never brought up the subject, and Jon was nervous about it. But soon it was bedtime, and Michael finally brought it up. "Jon?" Michael said. "Yeah." Jon said. "Do you love me?" Michael asked. "You know I do." Jon said and went to hold Michael. "Then why didn't you do the one thing I wanted?" Michael said with a tear falling down his cheek. Jon wiped away the tear and kissed Michael on his eyes. Then he said, "I've thought about it a lot, and I think that as long as it stays between us and all we do is kiss, then OK." "Really?" Michael asked with a smile on his face. "Yes, really." Jon said. "But what about the other gifts, and why didn't you say something earlier." Michael says, "When I seen those other gifts I thought your answer was no, and I almost cried right then." Jon gave Michael a big hug and said, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to make you cry. I had to get you the other stuff, I mean how would it look if I didn't. And I was to nervous to bring up the subject." Jon released Michael. "You had me scared." Michael says, "I thought for sure you would say no." They stared at each other for what seemed like hours but in fact was only about 20 seconds. Then Michael said, "Well are you going to kiss me?" "I can't help but stare at your beautiful eyes." Jon answered. Michael blushed somewhat then gave Jon a quick kiss on the lips. He pulled back at looked at Jon to see what his reaction was. Jon just smiled, which made Michael smiled. Then they leaned in and kissed each other. It was a long passionate kiss, it seemed to go on forever. They finally broke apart and at the same time said, "Wow." Then they both giggled. "Well how was it?" Michael asked. "It was...was...It was the best kiss I've ever had." Jon said and gave Michael another hug. "What about you? How did you like it?" "I loved it. Can we do it again?" Michael asked. Jon looked at Michael, who had a big grin on his face, and said, "Yeah, I think we can do that again, but we need to take it slow. I want you, and me to get used to this. You know what I mean?" "Yeah, I think." Michael said and leaned in for another kiss.
