Anton lay back watching the ceiling and smiled, he wanted to give Ty and Jaden the illusion of privacy, but he felt the bed vibrate and heard the moans and animal croons. They didn't talk, but the sound effects made him think several times of joining their passion. He suspected that this was just a delicate beginning, oral sex and no more. A scarcely used tube of K-Y gel sat in the drawers by the bed. Ty never reached for it. He knew when Ty took that step with Jaden he would be very slow and gentle. He had trained his boy well, for him Ty would always be his boy. He had hopes that Jaden would turn Ty into a man. The rocking of the bed lolled him to sleep, and he slept well that night, no longer restless from medication, and the illness battling his body. He slept like a child. Ty handled the boy's exquisite penis like it was the tenderest thread so it wouldn't be broken as he tied the knots of tension. It was softer than the lightest feather, and silkier than the rarest fur. He tied so many fish flies that his hand worked the boys flesh as if he was turning it into the perfect piece of fish bait. Then he became the fish as he opened his mouth to take the irresistible morsel. It was springtime food for a ravenous trout, and he was hooked. Jaden sighed in contentment. He never knew that his body was capable of feeling such wonderful warmth. It was so good, so very good, that he couldn't stand it, and a small jet of clear cream shot out from his sweetly tortured boy cock into the man who engulfed him. Finally spent they joined Anton in sleep. When Ty woke up the sweet scent of sex was still in the air. Anton snored quietly, and Jaden slept with his mouth partly open, his body pressed into Anton like a puppy. Ty got out of bed intent on having an hour or so to sort out his feelings. It was just getting light out. He pulled on his hiking boots, and threw a jacket on. The lawn was coated with a thin layer of frost. He walked past the heated birdhouse, and back into the woods. He now realized that he was in love with two people, Anton and Jaden. Jaden stirred his senses; even thinking about him now had the effect of causing him to harden. Jaden was not just another boy, he was the special one. And then there was Anton who he loved like the father he always needed. He wondered if that was what he was destined to be for Jaden. Would he get sick and old while Jaden was still young and lovely and incredibly sexy? He had to think about the unthinkable. If Anton died what would happen to Jaden? He had no legal rights over Jaden, and as much as he didn't want to think about it, the situation last night made his case of keeping Jaden weaker. If anyone outside of the three of them knew about it, Jaden would be taken from them immediately. It was a reckless act that Anton had encouraged. Was he so sure that no one would ever know, or was he so sick that laws seemed trivial to him? And if no one discovered that he had sex with Jaden that one time, and he was determined that was all it would be, there was finances. Money was pouring away like a deep gash in a water bottle...and he couldn't share that with Anton. He had to figure a way out on his own. Just as things looked gloomy the sun came up over the lake and the world was transformed into a glow of beauty. It seemed to say trust in life, and all would be alright. He trekked back to the house where it was warm in the kitchen. Jaden appeared in his flannel shirt, and smiled. "Good morning Ty, I'm going out to feed the birds now, do you want to come with me?" "I better start breakfast, and check for new orders." "Okay." Jaden walked over and reached up so he could be kissed. Ty couldn't resist, and kissed him softly on the mouth. Jaden's lips were slightly chapped but wonderful, his breathe was like gingerbread. "See you in a bit." Jaden pulled away and then waved as he opened the door heading towards the feed bin. Ty watched him from the window; he was so full of energy and such a ray of joy as he scooped seed and walked to the bird spa. It had been fun to build the wooden shed that housed the cages. Jaden never tired of helping him. They had used old solar panels for the heating element, and an inverted system to carry the waste. Jaden seemed to have a way with the birds while they squawked at Ty who felt like the fox in the henhouse, and a dodo bird with the budget. The books were depressing, and there wasn't a single new order on line. He sighed as he logged off and started to make breakfast, there was an old loaf of bread maybe a few fresh eggs would be good. Jaden read his mind coming in with some eggs big enough to hatch a baby dino. "Turkey eggs" Jaden pulled up a stool and put his elbows on the counter watching Ty beat the eggs. "Shit these things are weird, it's like stirring glue. "But they taste good." "And they're free." Ty admitted "Kind of like me." Jaden stated. "You are never to say that again, Ty lectured, "Never" "You mean I'm costing you too much?" "Of course not." "Look, I know that you're worried about my Uncle, and all. I figured that it must take a lot of money for all his medicine. I know mom had trouble finding change to pay for booze. She used to shake out her purse for coins; a few times she put me in the fountains to bring her quarters when I was little. I think she used to ask people for money by telling them it was for me" "It's hard to believe your Mother was Anton's sister, she was a monster, a bitch! Just the fact that she kept you from Anton. He would have helped you out, and I'm sure she knew it. Did she ever tell you about him?" "No, but it doesn't matter, I miss her sometimes but I'm far happier now you know." "Well that's good, but I wish things were better here." "What do you mean?" "You have to know Jaden, your uncle is really sick. I worry about him all the time." "No wonder you're looking older than him." "I am?" "Come on Ty, things are going to be fine." They could hear footsteps on the wooden floor above them. Anton was awake. He came down stairs in a frayed plaid robe, coughed a few times from the exertion and sat down at the circular country table. "Something smells good." Ty gave him some eggs and coffee, as Jaden put the bread in the toaster. Anton picked at his food, until Jaden made monkey faces at him, and told him he had to eat his eggs or get a spanking. "You are a tyrant, little boy, just wait until I'm back on my feet!" "Then what?" "You will treat me with respect or I'll have to beat you up with a goose feather." "How do you beat someone with a goose feather?" "You tickle them to death." "I'll get Ty to protect me." "Sure you will." "Stop arguing you two, and eat before it gets cold." Jaden buttered his toast, and then his red tongue darted out to slowly lap at the yellow coating." "What is that about?" Ty asked. "We're having a slowness race, Ant and I. I think I can eat even slower than him." "That would be nice but we haven't got all day, I decided to teach you to start making flies." "Really? Cool." "Right after we eat." Jaden swallowed the bread in a few gulps and was ready to go. "Ill clean the dishes." Anton mentioned. "Good, we'll be in the workroom." What was once a front parlor had been converted into a workroom where most of the business was accomplished. There were bins labeled with the different materials, and a bench with the machine where the thread was tied. Hooks of various sizes were in drawers. Ty took out a medium size hook and clamped it to the machine. As the thread spin he took Jaden's hand in his and guided it. "You're getting the hang of it." "Fish are pretty amazing aren't they?" "Yeah, let me show you how to make a water beetle, we usually sell a lot of them." They cut the foam and Jaden got a look on his face. "Why don't you teach people to make their own flies, it's really fun, you can get them to pay." "Most people are too lazy; you have to be really patient to tie these. Besides most of the people who don't already know how to make flies live in the city, and they aren't going to drive the hell over here to take a few lessons." "Why don't you write a book then?" "Cause I'm not a writer, besides there are dozens of books out already on the subject." "I never saw one." "Then when we're done you hop on over to Michael's store and check out the fishing section." "I will." The two worked for several hours. Ty put on some music, and it was comforting to have company again as he worked. Most of the time he had to re-do the flies Jaden made, but the boy was making progress. Anton couldn't work any more as his hands shook too much. "Ouch" It was the second time Jaden hooked himself in a few minutes. "You bleeding?" "No" "That's good; I think you should call it a day. I think under child-labor laws or something you can't work all day." "I'm going to Michaels" "If there are any eggs left take them to him." "Okay." Jaden liked that about this town, everyone seemed to share what they had. He didn't have a bike, and wasn't going to say anything about it, although when he went outside a few kids went by on mountain bikes. He ran instead up the hill and into town where the bookstore was located next to a shop that doubled as barber shop and tattoo pallor. It had the stripped pole outside which Anton told him used to mean blood letting, and hair cutting. He joked that a few letches would cure him, and the barber shop was cheaper than the God damn hospital, though the only thing he could talk Alfredo the barber into was a haircut and shave. It was noon and quite a few men were having coffee at the bookstore. "Hiya Handsome" said Michael in greeting. "They let you off for good behavior, or did you come to get a book for your old Uncle?" "No, I came to ask you a serious question." Michael looked at the boy but didn't say anything; he looked changed as if he was starting to know who he was. "You want some coffee." "Could I? I have a few turkey eggs for you, they seem gross but they taste good, especially if you use lots of butter." "Thanks, I can use them for tomorrow's carrot bread." Michael didn't ask him how he liked his coffee, just figured he would want lots of milk and sugar. He sliced a piece of chocolate cake and took it over to a distant table. He pored himself a cup of black coffee and sat down across from Jaden. "Okay kid spill the beans" "I'm really worried." "Your uncle is a pretty sick dude. Nothing we can do about that except take care of him, and pray he gets to feeling better." "I know, it's actually money that is the worry." "Things must be tight." "They are, and I can't be making things better for them." "Don't even think that, your uncle may be sick but having you there makes him feel 100 times better." "Yeah but..." "Jaden, I have an idea. I don't know what Ty and Anton would think about this but maybe we could do a benefit of some kind to raise money to help with the bills." Michael brushed his hand through his gray hair in thought. "We would have to be very careful how we plan it though. Anton would not take money he thought was a charity." "He's pretty proud." "What if we had a night with music and poetry, and all the proceeds went to help out. Next month I have a poet coming up from LA who is doing a reading and signing, what if we did it then." "What's his name?" "You read poetry, do you?" "No much, but I meet a poet a few months ago. His name was Barris "That's the poet, Barris Oliom, Maybe it's an omen that we were meant to do this. I know a few bands, and I can invite everyone on my mailing list. Send out a ton of E-mails and spread the word." "Do you think it would work?" "Sure." "I don't know how to thank you." "You don't have too; it will be thanks enough to see the reaction on Anton's face when he sees how many people love him." "Should I tell him?" "No lets get the ball rolling first, and then we'll tell Ty." "You're the man, Michael. What should I do?" "Stop back tomorrow. I'll E-mail a few others and get their ideas. If it's really big we may have to use the park, across the street. "You think?" "You just be a good boy and stay out of trouble, but I think you know how to do that and just what you want at the same time, you remind me of when I was your age, but I'm not telling any stories." "So how many books do you have about fly fishing?" "About five in stock, but why would you want one of them. Ty could write a book himself on that subject." "Just curious. Thanks for the coffee. I better go." Michael went back to the register as a few women were ready to buy some books. He was already planning the benefit for Anton as he scanned the books and credit cards, and handed some silk screened bookmarks to his customers. "One of my friends is really sick, and I'm thinking about having a benefit for him. Would you ladies come?" "Of course we would." One answered for both of them. "It's for Anton right." "Yes, but it's a secret, he's the only one I know who would stop it from happening." "Anton would love it, especially if you had male strippers" "It won't be that much fun." "Too bad, but it sounds like a great idea. Let us know when, and we'll furbish the cakes." One woman, Mandi had a bakery. What if it's for 1,000 people?" "Give me a weeks notice and no problem." This was beginning to take shape. Michael couldn't wait to really start planning it. Jaden's cheeks were flushed from running home top speed. In the work room Ty was still wrapping the hooks into insect forms. He looked up surprised to see how intensely happy Jaden appeared to be. "What's up with Michael?" "Nothing^Ånothing much" "You look like the cat with the canary, what are you so excited about." "I really can't tell you now Ty, it's a surprise." "Come-on, there are no secrets between us now." Ty berated himself for manipulating Jaden but he was starting to feel jealous. "Well I guess I can tell you but it has to be kept from Anton, cause it's about him, and it may not happen anyway." "What may not happen? Are you and Michael concocting to hire a witch Doctor or something?" "No not that, we're having a benefit to help pay for Anton's Doctor bills and things." "Did you say a benefit? Anton would hate it." "Well it would be lots of fun like a celebration, a party! This famous poet is coming from Los Angeles, and there will be rock groups." "It sounds crazy." "No. it's not, I met the Poet and he's very nice." "Was he at Michaels helping you plan this?" "No, I met him at this fancy resort place before you found me." "Really, Ty did not like these feelings but he couldn't help it. He hated this poet, he wondered what he did with his boy, and how could he have let Jaden continue to live on the streets." "It sounds like a very bad idea Jaden; I won't let you do it. Anton would despise having all these people pity him." "But you need the money, you said so." "But not that way." "I shouldn't have told you." "Well you couldn't exactly hide it could you. What were you going to do? Have a party for Anton and forget to invite him?" "No, you don't understand!" "But I do. You love him, and you want to help, but you can't ask other people to pay our bills. We just have to work harder at the business. We will manage." "Please Ty, we could have 1000 people. If they each paid 20 dollars that would be 20,000 dollars." "I'm glad you know your math." "Then we could have an auction too, and make more money." "No we can't the answer is not 20,000. It's no. N.O." "You're just being stubborn." "I'm being realistic!" "Please, just think about it." "I did and the answer is still no no NO." "I hate you, you think you're right when your not." "That's not what you acted like last night." Ty knew he was very unfair to bring that up now. Jaden went off crying, and Anton came in to find out what the yelling was about. "You two are having your first lovers quarrel, that's not a good sign, I don't what to know what it's about, I just want you to go up there and apologue to my baby." "Anton, please keep out of it." "Ty, I love you to death, but you have always been too pigheaded for your own good. Go be nice to Jaden, he loves you too." Ty put down the hook and slammed it into his finger. "I had enough. I'm leaving." "Look this threesome is wearing us all thin, and me not being able to carry by weight doesn't help, but you're not going anywhere until you tell me what the trouble is." "Jaden and Michael are planning a secret benefit for you, and I'm not supposed to know to about it, in case I accidentally tell you." "That is so sweet. I think it's the kindest thing I ever heard of." "Now I'm the bad guy, I thought you would hate it." "I do but I'm touched that they care so much, we can use the money to help homeless boys." "The money they earn was to pay for your medical bills." "That's what insurance is for." "Insurance doesn't pay for everything, and we can hardly afford the insurance." Anton looked crestfallen as Ty brought up a subject that tormented him. Some days he thought that the Eskimo's were right, and when it's your time you should wander from the tribe instead of wasting its resources, in this case the equity in their business. However as he looked at the lump of artless feathered insects, not good enough to sell, but one's that they would use for their own fishing, he knew he stayed around for the one who worked hard as he started to learn the craft. "Worrying won't help. We need to think about Jaden's needs. Go find him and tell him that I'm all for this benefit." "You are?" "Of course, it will make Jaden happy, and that's all I care about." Jaden was in his room. He had discovered a box of old magazines in the back of the closet and was looking at the boys and comparing himself. He looked at how the photographer took the subject in daylight, the boys looked sexy and happy, and he knew that he looked as good as the best of them. Maybe he could be a model, and make some money that way. He knew that he had to help his Uncle; there was no way he was going back to an institution. If something happened to his uncle, Ty would just have to keep him. He knew that he also had to find a way to make Ty love him so much that he would never send him away.
