Chapter Forty Three The remainder of our cruise was very quiet and uneventful. Curtis and Michael seemed to be working through the first difficulty of their relationship but things were still on pretty shaky ground between them. On Sunday morning we left the ship and flew back to the island. Overall, I think the cruise accomplished what I had hoped it would. We all had a chance to step back from all of the chaos that surrounded the past few months and catch our breath. James and Curtis headed straight for their rooms when we returned home so they could get started on their make-up work for school. Personally, I was ready to lounge around on the deck all day but there was to much work to be done. I went into my office and fired up my computer. Once I was logged in I placed a call to Allen. "This is Allen, how may I help you?" Allen answered. "Hi Allen, it's Tim." I replied. "Hi Tim, how was the vacation?" Allen asked in a chipper voice. "It was a great week but now it is time to get back to work. I need for you to get a hold of the Executive Staff and set up the remainder of the planning meetings for Angels Cove. We need to fast track this Allen, since we have fallen almost a month behind. Everyone should have the Impact Assessments ready by now so we have a good starting point. I want two meetings a week for the entire month of December. I will not start my recovery mission to fill all of the vacancies for the new ship until the second of January. I am considering asking James to help me out to shorten the length of the recovery trip." "That sounds like a good idea Tim. Do you think he is up to it?" Allen asked. "I will leave it up to him but he sure seems like the old James to me." I answered. "It will be great to have him back to full speed. He handles a lot more affairs here than I realized until I had to start covering for him." he chuckled. "Yes it will be great to have our team at full strength again. We have so much work to do in a short period of time. Oh, by the way, don't forget that our new evac pilot and his son will be arriving on Tuesday morning. Make sure their accommodations are all ready for them and their accounts are set up at the bank." I reminded him. "I will see to it Tim. Is there anything else?" he asked. "No, that's all for now. Email me the schedule for the planning meetings so I can be prepared. Don't forget to copy James on the email. Thanks Allen." I concluded. "No problem Tim. Talk to you latter." he responded, before hanging up. Just as I finished my call with Allen, Cory informed me that lunch was served on the patio. I asked him to go let James and Curtis know as well. He had already done so and in just a few minutes the boys and I were on the patio. Cory brought out a plat full of sandwiches, chips and drinks for lunch and we all dug in. "James, how are you feeling angel?" I asked. "I am feeling great Tim. It is great to be home and I am glad to be getting back to work." he replied. "Good. I have an idea and I wanted to run it by you and Curtis." I stated. "As you know, I have to make another very long recovery trip in January to fill the vacancies for the new ship. I was wondering if you would be willing to assist with the recovery process so we could cut the time it takes in half. You would take care of recovery in Miami, Dallas, and Los Angeles while I took care of the Canadian and Mexican cities. Phillip and Nathan will be off their rotation on Caribbean Angels so they could stay here and look after Curtis while we are gone." "That sounds great to me Tim. Curtis, will you be okay with Phillip and Nathan looking after you?" James asked. "Sure! If it means Dad is only gone for two weeks instead of a month then I am all for it!" Curtis replied enthusiastically. "Tim, the ship yard has not ask me for the name of the new ship yet. Shouldn't they be needing that information already?" James asked. "They have not ask because they already have the name of the new ship. I decided on the name and informed them some time ago." I explained. "Well?" James said rather impatiently. "I decided to name the new ship for the two men in my life that have made me the happiest man on earth. The new ship's name is 'Maggie's Legacy'" I proudly proclaimed. The boys both got huge smiles on their faces at this news. We finished our lunch and the boys went back to their school work. I returned to my office and sent off an email to Phillip asking him and Nathan if they would agree to stay at the house and watch Curtis in my absence. Having the afternoon open I decided to take a tour of the island. It was getting near dinner time when I finished my very thorough tour, having satisfied myself that everything was running smoothly. James and Curtis were just coming downstairs when I walked in the front door. I told them I would meet them on the patio for dinner in just a few minutes. I walked back into my office and made a last check of me emails. Phillip had responded stating that he and Nathan would be more than happy to watch over Curtis for us while we were away. I logged off the computer and shut down the office for the day. Cory's skills were coming around but he was still preparing pretty basic meals. We had stuffed pork-chops with green beans and mashed potatoes for dinner. Cory and Timmy joined us and the meal was very relaxed and enjoyable. I reminded Curtis that he had agreed to help make Yuri feel welcome when he arrived on Tuesday and Curtis assured me he would take care of everything. I also made a mental note to remind security that we would have a dirt bike traveling the island in a few days. Jim's helicopter and Yuri's dirt bike would not be arriving until Friday. After dinner was finished, James ask me to join him in the hot tub which I gladly agreed to. I took a seat and James sat on my lap instead of sitting beside me. I wrapped my arms around my angel and held him close as he laid back against my chest. Cory and Timmy cleared the table and then excused themselves to their room. Curtis was just sitting at the table staring off into space. "Curtis, come and join us." James said after noticing Curtis sitting alone. "No thanks bro. Hot tubs make me horny and I don't feel much like being horny tonight." replied Curtis, almost moping. "If something is bothering you Curtis we are here to listen. We are your family and we love you. Come on and join us." James insisted. Curtis padded over to the hot tub and climbed in. He plopped down in the seat and began to weep. "Why did Michael have to dance with that other guy?" he blubbered. "You still have not worked through your problems with Michael?" I asked carefully. "He said I am just being silly. He told me I was acting very immature. He said he did not want to discuss the issue anymore." Curtis replied. "What would you have done if the guy had ask you to dance instead of Michael?" James queried. "I would have thanked him for the invitation and politely refused. I would have told him that I was with someone and not available to dance with anyone else." he stated rather matter-of-factly. "Did Michael apologize to you for hurting your feelings?" James asked. "Yes he did apologize the first day I mentioned it. He told me it would never happen again." Curtis explained. "And has it happened again?" I asked. "No. He has not even looked at another man since then." Curtis answered. "Look Curtis, when Tim and I first became a couple we made a promise to be faithful to each other. There is nothing to guarantee that either of us will be faithful. We have only our trust in each other to believe that we will honor our words. If you and Michael can not find a trust between you, then your relationship is in for a lot of troubles." James lectured. "Without trust, you really have nothing. You should give Michael your trust until he does something to destroy that trust." I was so proud of James. He was spouting wisdom far beyond his years. It also did my heart good to know that James' trust in me was still fully intact. But my heart was breaking for poor Curtis. He was really hurting over what Michael had done on the cruise. I have to admit I did not think the offense was so bad but Curtis did and that is what mattered. I was doing my best to hold back but finally I had to speak out. "Would you like me to talk with Michael about this Curtis?" I asked. "If you think you can help then yes that would be great. I really love Michael and I don't want to lose him over this." Curtis replied. "Alright then. I will have a chat with him tomorrow morning and see if we can't get this all cleared up." I stated. "Thanks Dad. I hope it helps." Curtis said, before coming over and kissing my cheek. "Thanks for listening James. It is really cool to have a brother to talk with when I have a problem." "Any time Curtis. I am always here for you." James added, with a smile. Curtis excused himself and went up to his room while James and I remained in the hot tub. I started to nibble on James' earlobe and he turned and planted a very passionate kiss on my lips. James turned his body a bit and wrapped his arms around me. We stayed wrapped together for some time, allowing our tongues to do their familiar dance while our hands gently caressed each other's bodies. Before we knew it, the buzzer sounded on the timer which meant we had to get out of the hot tub. "Interruptions, interruptions." I grumbled. James just let out a chuckle. James had school in the morning so I thought it best to make an early night of it. After watching a bit of television we headed upstairs for bed. I knocked on Curtis' door and waited for him to answer. I walked in and kissed him goodnight and closed the door on my way out. I shouted goodnight to Cory and Timmy as I passed their door but I did not get a response. They were either sleeping already or occupied in other ways. James was just coming out of the bathroom when I entered the bedroom. I went in and relieved myself and then joined James in bed. We snuggled up close together and kissed each other goodnight. I woke up in a very high state of arousal. I looked down and James was working my dick in his mouth for all he was worth. It only took a few short minutes before I was moaning and pumping my load in his wonderfully talented mouth. James crawled up to me and gave me a very hot kiss. "Thanks for breakfast." he cooed. "I needed some protein before school." he said, with a huge grin. He kissed me goodbye and headed off to school. It was the first time I had ever been awakened with a blowjob and I must say it is not a bad way to wake up. I laid in bed for another half an hour just enjoying the afterglow of my orgasm and the laziness of the morning. Finally it was time to drag myself out of bed and start my day. I slouched my way to the bathroom and handled my morning duties before heading downstairs. I started a pot of coffee brewing and picked up the telephone. I dialed the number to the infirmary and asked to speak with Michael. "Dr. Pellphrey here, how may I help you." Michael answered. "Hi Michael, it's me Tim. I was wondering if you could sneak away from your duties long enough to have breakfast with me?" I asked. "Sure Tim. Paradise del Ragazzo at 9:00am?" he asked in return. "That will be fine. See you then." I replied before hanging up. I poured a cup of coffee and headed out to my usual table on the patio. I wanted to gather my thoughts before addressing things with Michael. This was going to have to be handled very carefully. I was treading in waters I did not like to be in. This was not really any of my business. But since my son was involved, I had little choice in the matter. Curtis was so inexperienced in matters of the heart. This was bound to be a huge learning experience for him. I tried to draw from my years of experience in dealing with boys but that was pretty futile. All of the boys I had experience dealing with were street kids. Curtis was still so young and innocent. He had not had the misfortune of being taught to grow up in a hurry on the streets. Relationships were still idealistic and pure in his mind and I desperately wanted to keep it that way. But Curtis had to learn that people are only human and if we place to much demand on them, they will eventually let us down. How to find the happy medium? Another of life's great mysteries. I made my way over to Paradise del Ragazzo and asked if Michael had arrived yet. The Matradee told me he had not arrived yet so I ask for a nice booth that was suitable for a quiet conversation. My waiter arrived and escorted me to a cozy booth in the corner. I ordered a cup of coffee and decided to hold off on the food until Michael arrived. He did not keep me waiting long. Michael was escorted to the booth and took a seat. We exchanged pleasantries and then we both ordered our breakfast. "So what did you want to see me about Tim? Is there a problem with our medical team?" Michael asked. "No, this is about you and Curtis." I explained. "Me and Curtis? Whatever do you mean?" he enquired. "Look Michael. I don't like getting involved in your relationship with Curtis but..." I began. "Then why are you?" Michael interrupted with a touch of indignation in his voice. "There is no reason to be defensive Michael. I have not come here to discuss this problem as your employer. I have come to discuss this problem as a concerned friend and Curtis' father." I assured him. "Curtis really loves you, and I believe you love him too. He is very upset over this whole dancing issue and the fact that you will not talk with him about it." "I apologized to him for making a mistake and I told him he was the only one that I had any interest in. I told him that I was just being friendly with that customer and that the guy meant nothing to me." Michael insisted. "I understand Michael. I really do. But I think you are over simplifying this just a bit. You and I are used to dealing with young boys every day that have had their lives drastically altered by cruel circumstances. They have been forced to mature and age beyond their years by life on the streets. I think that sometimes we forget that not all boys have that same background. We forget the innocence of youth. It is a side effect of our jobs I am afraid." I stated. I reached across the table and placed my hand on Michael's before continuing. "Curtis is an innocent boy Michael. He said that you called him silly and immature for being so upset. Well, he is immature Michael, and yes maybe he is being a bit silly over this whole thing. But try and remember the trauma he has gone through recently and his need to feel secure in a relationship." "Let me ask you something Tim. Do you think what I did was wrong?" he asked. "What I think or feel is pretty much irrelevant Michael. But as a matter of record, yes I think you were wrong. I think you acting without considering your partner's feelings but I don't think you meant any harm by it. However, I think your biggest mistake was when you trivialized your partner's feelings after he tried to talk with you. You let him know that the two of you were not on equal footing in the relationship. That is the mistake I fear will end your relationship if you don't take action to correct it." I said. "Do you really believe that our relationship is in jeopardy over this mess?" Michael asked in a shocked voice. "I do Michael. Do you really love Curtis, Michael? Now before you answer that, give it serious thought. Are you really and truly in love with Curtis?" I asked. "I can not believe you have to ask such a question. You know that I am in love with Curtis." he replied. "Then I suggest you make sure he knows that. I suggest you talk to him about his feelings and let him get it all off his chest. Show him equal respect in the relationship and do not blow off his concerns. You're a good man Michael, and I believe you love Curtis. But I am not the one who needs to be convinced of this. I would take the first opportunity I could get to sit down and work this out with him. If you don't, your going to lose him Michael." I stated sadly. "I have to admit that I was resentful that you were interfering in our relationship Tim. But you have given me a lot to think about and I will take your advice into consideration." Michael concluded. We finished our breakfast and parted company. One of the disadvantages of having a son that is dating one of your employees is the conflict of interest involved. If Michael every seriously hurt Curtis then it would be difficult for me to continue a business relationship with him. All I can do is hope is does not come to that. I paid the bill for our breakfast and headed back to the house. I retrieved a cup of coffee from the kitchen and then settled in my office for another busy day. I found it a bit unsettling for the house to be so quiet with all of the boys gone but it did allow me to get a great deal of work done before they got home. Only a few short years ago I was used to being alone all of the time. Now it was almost driving me crazy. My how much one's life can change in the space of a few years. I occupied myself with the business of Jason's Haven and the morning slipped away from me in no time flat. Before I knew it, the boys were coming through the front door and announcing their presence. I took a break to go out and say hi to James and Curtis. "Hello my angel. How was school?" I asked as I gave James a nice kiss on the lips. "It was fine Tim. How was your morning?" James asked with a wink. "Better than any other I can remember. I replied with a big smile. "Where is your brother?" "Michael was waiting for him after school and they went to lunch." he responded. "I asked Michael to talk with Curtis and see if they could not resolve their little conflict. Time will tell if it works out or not I suppose." I added. "Well, we have done all we can do Tim. It is up to the two of them to make it work or not. It is out of our hands so no worrying over it." James instructed. "I have a lot of work to catch up on so I will see you a little later this afternoon." he stated, before kissing me and heading up to his office. I returned to my office and tried to get back into my work but my mind kept drifting back to Curtis. Despite James' warning not to worry, what else could a father do? To be continued...
