Not nearly as nervous as the first time he made that approach, but still nervous. This time, however, they did not stop at the gates. Instead Steven drove past that gate and continued on around the corner, where they came to another gate that Josh didn't know existed. At this gate Steven held his ID card in front of a sensor and the gate automatically opened. He drove through, turning almost immediately into a car park where each bay had a number. Steven had number ten, one of the closest ones to the entrance to the Academy building. "There is a bit of pecking order for parking spaces. One and two are for the chief and deputy. Then the officers in charge get the next ones and so it goes down to the kitchen cleaners at the bottom of the order. Of course it is unofficial and would be denied if anyone asked, but it is there," Steven explained as they walked to the door. At the door Steven showed his ID to a sensor and the door opened automatically. He ushered Josh through while standing in the doorway and then let the door close. As they passed through a metal detector it bleeped for Josh and he had to turn out his pockets in front of Steven. There was nothing there to set it off, so he took off his belt and then passed through undetected. "I could be mean and say we have to keep the belt here, but I won't do that to you. Some people who we don't know as well we would do that to. Come on, I will show you the way through now." Steven led Josh through the building and to a room that he had not been in before. "This is the visitor's room. Wait here and I'll bring Sam. After you have had a bit of time together I'll bring Chris and Andy to join you as well. I won't tell them what's happening; I'll leave it for them to discover when they get here. Oh, a number of the officers know you are visiting today and might come to say hi, so don't do anything too intimate. Remember you are still under CCTV surveillance in this room." "Thank you, Officer Steven. I appreciate it very much." "You've forgotten already. I'm just Steven to you now." "Sorry." "I'll be back soon." Josh moved over to the door where he expected Steven would bring Sam through and waited so that when the door opened it would shield him. He wanted to see Sam before Sam saw him. Less than five minutes after Steven left, the door opened and a somewhat nervous Sam stepped through. As Steven pulled the door closed Josh said, "Hello, darling." Sam stopped dead in his tracks for a second and then with an excited squeal, leapt and swivelled in the air to land facing Josh, who took the two steps needed to bring the two boys close together. Before anything more was said they were hugging each other tightly and had their lips pressed together with their mouths parted and tongues engaging in a mutual tasting session. When they finally stopped for a breath Josh said, "I have missed you so much." "And I have missed you. It is not the same lying in bed with just your pillow. The guys have kept me satisfied, but they don't sleep in bed with me like you did." "They are looking after you then?" "Yes, but it's not the same. Sure, we jerk and suck and fuck each other, but without the love we have it's just getting our rocks off and relieving the pressure. What about you? How are things going on the outside?" "Up and down. I've only had my hand for relief so far. The son of the people I am staying with is a possibility, but I haven't really had a chance to try anything. He is as complete a virgin as I was when I came in here, but he is sure he is gay. I have not pressed to do something with him, because I'm not sure how I will cope, knowing you're in here and you are the one I want to do it with." "Let him help you. It's not as good as when you love someone, but it's better than your own hand. What about your folks? Have you seen them yet?" "I've seen my mother three times and ended up crying every time. I haven't seen her for a few weeks now, and I don't plan to see her again for a long time. I am going to go for some counseling to help me to cope with my feelings on that score. I love her and hate her at the same time. And as for that fucking shithead of a husband she has, I haven't seen him and hope I never see him. I don't think I would even feel sorry for my mother if he died." "I'm sorry, Josh. At least my mum has written to me since I came in. Even though she doesn't like what I did, she still loves me, and when I get out I will go back to live with her again. I've told her about you, too." They turned to face the door as they heard it opening, and Chris and Andy came into the room. Big smiles lit up their faces when they saw Josh, and soon they were hugging him as well. For the next twenty minutes Josh gave them a summary of what had happened since he got out, although he left out some of the painful bits about his meetings with his mother. He told them about Simon and working at KFC and the progress towards a retrial. While they were still talking the door opened again, and Mr. Succum came in smiling. "Mr. Tolmers, it is so nice to see you back for a visit. How are you?" "I'm very well thank you, Mr. Succum. How are you?" "Also well, thank you. You know, you are the first inmate that I can think of who has come back to visit friends he made while in here. And we really do miss you." "Maybe I am the first inmate who had a reason to come back to visit." "That might be possible, but I don't think so. I think that in the past inmates were only too glad to be shot of the place, and the only chance they had of returning was if they were still young enough when they got their next sentence. I know that is rather cynical, but then we have never had an inmate like you in the past either." "I am unique." "You are that. Anyway, I will leave you with your friends again, and I believe Officer Steven will be along to take them back when the visit is over. Please come back again." Mr. Succum shook Josh's hand and then left them. A few minutes later officers George and Edward came in to say a brief hello and asked how Josh was getting on in school. Josh explained that he had not yet started at school as he was waiting for the start of a new term to start at a different school to the one he had attended before being arrested. "But I'm sure I will be able to catch up what I have missed," he assured the two officers. No sooner had they left than both medics who had looked after Josh came in to say hi to him. Officer Simon asked him if he was coping alright with seeing his family again, showing he remembered what he and Josh had talked about concerning his birth father's death. "I'm going to be going for some counseling for that soon. I saw the doctor this last week and he is trying to get it pushed through, because he thinks I will need it before the retrial." "Good. I am sure you will find it a big help. You are the kind of person who is open to be helped by that form of treatment. Look after yourself then." The two officers left and the four teens got back into a conversation, which was cut short again by an officer interrupting them. But this time it was Steven to announce that their visiting time was over for the day. He did not allow the boys long to say good bye and then told Josh to wait for him again while he took the other three back. When he returned to Josh he had a big smile on his face. "How do you fancy trying some Academy slop again?" he asked. "I don't know, but I think I could endure it if it means what I think it means." "Good, I have been to see Chief Craven and with his permission I have made some special arrangements for tomorrow and some others that he won't necessarily know about. If you want to go through with them then we will go back to my office for a bit while I send out some emails to staff here and then I will take you home to meet Abigail and the girls." Steven explained the outline of his plan and Josh immediately agreed, so they went back to Steven's office for him to put out the instructions in emails to the officers who would be on duty the next day. Josh's arrival at Steven's home was met with mixed reactions. Abigail threw her arms around him and hugged him while Susan and Marcie kept a bit of a distance and just looked at him shyly. Steven led him through the house to show him where he would be sleeping for the two nights and where the facilities were and then back to the lounge to sit for some refreshments. While he was there Susan came in and leant against her father's knee holding a fluffy rabbit. Josh asked if it was named after any of the stories. He began to list off various names that he could remember like Cotton Tail and Peter from Beatrix Potter and gradually the girl lost her shyness and took the rabbit over to Josh to look at. Josh spent a long time admiring the rabbit and talking to Susan, eventually getting her to laugh as he used the rabbit's floppy ears to tickle her face. Seeing her older sister having some fun with Josh, Marcie went off and came back with a pink sausage dog. She did not get the joke about it being a hot dog and should have some bread with it, but she did also giggle when the dog's ears tickled her face. When Abigail came through to announce that the tea was ready, Josh had a girl either side of him vying for his attention, and Steven was sitting opposite them with a contented smile on his face. After they had eaten Abigail took the two girls to get them bathed and into bed, leaving Josh alone with Steven. "Sorry, I was very rude and ignored you before supper. You have two very special little girls there." "I did not feel ignored. In fact I got great pleasure seeing them warm to you and have some fun with you. You certainly have a way with people of all ages. Have you thought of going into some sort of service career when you leave university?" "I have to finish school first. I had thought of going into accountancy like my dad was doing and I know I could be good at it, but I think I might get bored with it quite quickly. I don't know about a service career though. What would I do?" "I think you could do just about anything, from being a doctor or a nurse to being a teacher or social worker. Or maybe even a young offender's officer," Steven added with a smile. Abigail returned with the two girls in their nighties and suggested they say good night to Josh. Both girls ran over to him and climbed up on the sofa to hug him and kiss him goodnight, planting kisses full on his lips. Josh returned the hugs and wished them a good night. The girls went back to their mother, who hugged them and kissed them goodnight before Steven scooped them up in his arms and carried them off to bed. Abigail sat down and said, "You have made a hit with those two girls. They even wanted to know if you would help them with their baths." "That would be a first for me, but I would think Susan at least was a bit beyond needing help in the bath and might be a bit shy getting undressed in front of a boy." "Well that is what I thought too, but evidently you are an exception she would be willing to make." "Maybe she feels safer because I am gay," Josh suggested. "I don't think that has even entered her head. We certainly have not talked about you being gay in front of the girls and I am not sure she would understand it anyway yet. No, I think she just knows that she would be safe with you." "Is that what you think too? I mean I hope that I would not be tempted to do anything untoward, but the only girls I have seen naked were those new arrivals at the academy while I was there. Apart from that all I have seen is pictures and clips on the internet. All of which have been totally untouchable." "Josh, I don't just think my girls would be safe with you, I am sure they would. Not because you are gay, but because you are an honest person who cares about others and not just himself. You might have some doubts, and that is understandable, but I have heard enough from Steven about how you were while inside that I am certain you would not allow yourself to take liberties with the girls." "Wow! Thank you. I'm really flattered. I must remember to tell Steven not to exaggerate so much." "What am I not to exaggerate then?" Steven asked as he came back into the room. "What you are telling people about me," Josh replied. "I don't believe I have been. But changing the subject. Abi, what are your plans like for tomorrow? We have had a change of plans at the Academy and now need to try and get Josh there for twelve noon instead of half two." "Oh, okay, no problem. I can get the groceries done early and then drop Josh off on the way to the hairdresser. That will save Josh having to wander around town on his own for an hour. I take it he needs to be dropped off at the visitor's entrance?" "Yes. That would be best. Give me a call when you are close and I'll be there to see him in."
