Enough of this - both of you have gone too far this morning!" stated my Dad. Now Dad will speak up when needed, but he normally stays out of our squabbles, but this was not a squabble, this was, in my book, war. He continued "Douglas, if you have other news, it can wait to another day. Ginnie, you need to rethink some of your comments as you have let your mouth get away from common sense and decency." My Mom turned and looked at my Dad, but before she could even begin to sound out a word he said, "I think, I made myself clear, and I mean it. You have become mean spirited in the name of the Lord and that is not the spirit that we believe our Lord exemplifies. You have said some very hurtful things of late, and I thought that one day you just might hear yourself, but this morning, it became crystal clear that you haven't and don't have any intention of changing. We have a wonderful grandson joining our family, and I for one am happy to welcome him, and I look forward to his visits." He then turned to me and said, "Douglas, you know how your mother is, and yet, you let her get you started. You too, need to listen to your statements because son, I know you were taught better than to speak to your parents like you did this morning. You need to remember that you have two sons who are watching you, and you do not want them to disrespect you. I don't have a problem with you defending your family, but do so with dignity and carefully worded statements." I walked back to my room, picked up my suitcase and walked out onto the front porch. Dad followed me and said "You almost went too far this morning. An argument such as you were having this morning with your Mom is not the place, nor the time to talk about Phil. Phil deserves more respect and consideration, do you hear me? That has to be handled with discretion. I will work with you on that; just let me know what your plans are." Mom walked to the front door and stood there. She said "Doug, tell Ryan that his Grandmother loves him, and then, she turned and went back into the house. I was so angry that I wanted to follow her and blast her again, but Dad said "She will come around, she is mad at both of us. I imagine it will be a rough couple of days around here, but I've dealt with her for forty years, I think, I can do a few more." He reached over, hugged me, and said "I am so proud of you and the father that you have become. Tell both of my grandsons that I love them and look forward to seeing them soon. I walked down the steps, placed my suitcase in the Denali, and got in. I backed out and headed home. The more I drove, the more I replayed Mom's words this morning. I cannot believe that she can be so heartless and bitter. Why? Why? Why? I have to give Dad credit, this morning he called both of us down, and it was a good thing because I almost said something that I was not ready to divulge. I want Phil's introduction to my family presented with love and not in the heat of the moment. I pray that Mom will come to love Phil and to mirror the love and respect that Phil's parents showed me. I stopped at my favorite restaurant and had lunch. I looked at the menu and could not find a meat that I wanted, so I ordered a vegetable plate of fried okra, cream style corn, fresh sliced tomatoes, and speckled butterbeans along with a large glass of sweet iced tea and two corn muffins. I ate my lunch, and it helped calm me down. The waitress tried to talk me into dessert and she was really tempting me with chocolate pie, but just before I gave in, my willpower showed up. I made good time home even considering the fact that I had taken the longer route. I needed the time, and space to get myself calmed, and focused, as well as, do some more thinking on how we were going to handle announcing to the neighborhood and to the school that Myles was my real son. I knew that regardless of what we did, we had to be careful with Michelle's reputation and its impact on Myles. As I was turning into my driveway, my phone began to ring. I looked and it was from Mom's phone. I answered, and she said "Douglas, your Dad and I have had several really strong conversations since you left this morning, and I have come to agree with him, things got totally out of hand this morning. Regardless of what, you are my son and although I don't agree with everything you do, I still love you. Please tell Myles that his Grandmother loves him and wishes him the best. I know that you love him and will protect him just like you protect Ryan. You are a good father, and I will say that until the day that I die." I said "Thank you Mom, I will tell Myles that you send him your love and best wishes. We will talk soon, as I have just driven into the driveway and I want to go check on Myles." We hung up, and I just shook my head, but I knew undoubtedly that Dad had chewed her out after I left. My Dad doesn't say much but when he does, he packs a powerful punch, and he hits direct and hard. I know all too well, because I have been on the receiving line of one of his epic chewing outs. I parked in the driveway, grabbed my suitcase, and walked into the house. I walked back to my bedroom, put the suitcase on the bed, walked to the family room and looked out at the pool and into the backyard. No one was home, so I called Michelle. She said that the boys were there, and that, I should come on down. I opened the refrigerator, located a bottle of flavored water and walked down to Michelle's. Michelle had stepped out onto her front porch when I told her that I was coming down. She hugged me and said "Doug, if he has asked me one time if I had heard from you, he has asked me ten thousand times. He is so thrilled with the news, but he is tiring easily again. I have texted Dr. Chesterfield, but have not heard anything yet." I said "Michelle, if we don't hear something soon, I will call Mikel and see what he has to say, but right now, I want to go see the boys." I opened the door and all four of the boys stopped what they were doing, but Myles was up and hugging me. Jay said to Ryan "What's up with that? Did he think Pops was going to bring him something, or is he just kissing up?" Ryan played it off really good "Myles and I have traded places so Ms. Michelle is my Mom, and Pops is Myles' Dad for the day." "So why?" asked Jay. Ryan said "We just wanted to see what it was like to have something that we don't have." "Hmmm" said Jay, and they were back to whatever they were talking about before I entered the room. Myles wanted me to go to his room so, I followed him. He closed his door and motioned for me to sit on the bed. I did, and he said "Dad, oh God, I love saying that to you, but Dad, I haven't mentioned this to Mom, and I know that y'all said we had to talk about some stuff, but I want to change my last name, I want to be a legal Brunson." I said "Myles, I would love for that to happen, but you Mom has to be a part of that decision." He said "Hold on." He called Michelle to join us in his bedroom. She walked in and said "I have the feeling that I am walking into a set-up." It did not bother Myles, as he said "Mom, I have been thinking a lot about things, and I just told Dad that I wanted to be a legal Brunson. He said that you had to be a part of that decision." She looked at Myles and said "Son, I know that means a lot to you, and the other name is in so many ways a fraud, I definitely would agree to a name change, if your Dad is willing." I know my face had to brighten the room as I felt my smile widen and my eyes glow. I said "That would make me extremely happy, but Myles your Mom and I have to discuss the intricacies of this as we want it done right, and so that it does not blow up on any of us." He looked puzzled and Michelle said "Myles, we have to tell the others before we can announce to the world, and there are some things that we have to carefully plan before we go out and make the announcement. We do not want it to hurt you or cause either your Dad or me problems." He looked at me, and I said "Your Mom is right. We will talk more on this, but I will have my lawyer begin work on it Monday." He smiled and said "Now, that is good news. I am going to let you two talk about whatever you need to talk about, but all I am going to say is hurry and make a plan, I can't wait for everyone to know that I have a for real Dad." He left the room and Michelle asked "Did you hear Jay question Ryan when we walked in tonight?" I said "Yes, and Ryan did a good job of answering his question." She said "Doug, in some ways, I feel like I am handling a bomb because it is going to put the two of us in a situation for gossip and that will eventually hurt Myles." I said "Michelle, I understand that line of thinking, but Myles is ready to announce and wants it done as soon as possible. I have thought about this for several days, and I think we need to call the neighborhood family together and announce the news. I think we need to do the lead-in, but allow Myles to drop the great news." She said "I don't know Doug, I don't know." I said "Michelle, you are right, there is going to be some gossip, but that is normal. I think that our neighborhood family will be happy for us." She said "Well, I don't see how they could be unhappy once they see and hear from Myles." When do you want to meet and where? We decided to have the group meet at my house tomorrow night for an end of summer social. I suggested that we have ice cold watermelons and cantaloupes. I said "I think that would be something that we haven't done, it is easy to do, it is fast clean-up, and not a major expense." Michelle agreed after I agreed to take the lead in the explanation. I agreed to do it with the understanding that she would jump in and tell part of the story, too. Michelle said that she would call both Meredith and Christine and let them know about the get together and that this strictly was a watermelon and cantaloupe event. I left and walked back home after telling Ryan that he could stay for about thirty minutes longer. I looked over at Myles, and he gave me a half-hearted smile. I knew what that was about, he wanted to go with us, but Michelle wouldn't let him out of the house. I walked into the house and found a naked, but a fresh and naked Phil in the kitchen looking through the refrigerator. He looked around, as I entered the kitchen area and then, he resumed his search in the refrigerator. As he bent over to get something off one of the lower shelves, the devil spoke to me and said "Grab his balls!" I reached between his legs and grabbed those hanging ornaments. He rose up fast, but I had a good grip on them. I pulled him backwards and toward me. He said "Doug, what if Ryan walks in?" I said "Ryan will be home in about twenty-five minutes. I can do whatever I want to you now, because I have total control, don't I?" As I was talking to him, I let my index finger on my right hand raise up and it began to stroke the base of his cock. He said "Doug, you are about to have me on high alert, and you know it is not long after that until ..." I gave his balls a slight yank and told him that I did not want to hear any more from him. I told him to walk in front of me and go to our bedroom. He did and it was somewhat awkward with him walking and me, bent over gripping his balls, but we finally made it to the bedroom. I released my grip and shoved him onto the bed. I looked around the room and said "I am gone one night and this place looks like a tornado has hit. What happened to cleaning up after yourself?" He started to answer, but I fell down on my knees between his legs and pulled his hard cock straight up in the air. True to his word, he had begun to leak some pre-cum. I stuck my tongue out and began to lick up his cock from the base to the tip, then into the slit and down the other side. As I was doing this, he grabbed my head and tried to push me down onto his cock when I was at its head. I persisted in my efforts, and I soon had him trying to hunch my face. I took his balls in my hand and began to play with them as I continued to lick him. I let his balls go and moved my hand to his taint and started applying a little rubbing action there. I felt him move and then, he started telling me that he was cumming. I sat back on my heels and watched him blast five large loads onto his chest and stomach. It was then, that I heard the front door open, close and Ryan yell for me. I swatted Phil's cock playfully and told him to clean up so that we could go out to eat. Phil started complaining that he would have to take another shower. I explained to him that water would not hurt him, but if he didn't hurry, that I might. I walked out of the bedroom and met Ryan on his way to my room. I told him that we were going out to eat and to go take a quick shower and change clothes. He started to complain, but turned and did what he was asked to do. I sat in the family room and waited for both of them to return. Amazingly Phil and Ryan walked into the family room at the same time. I stood up and herded them to the driveway. We got in, and I started driving. Ryan wanted to know where we were going and I said "To get some food." He responded "Well duhhhh, I had figured that much out, so what place are we going to tonight?" I responded "I was thinking Mexican." Phil said "Now, that is always a good choice." So I continued driving, and then, Ryan said "Dad, are you sure you want Mexican, because you know how Phil is after he has eaten Mexican." I chuckled, and Phil punched me on my shoulder. Ryan then thoughtfully said "Well, you know you have to sleep with him, I don't, so Mexican is fine with me." We drove into the parking lot, made our way into the restaurant, checked in with the hostess and were seated in a booth near the back of the restaurant. I studied the menu because I really wanted to try something new as I seem to always order a Chimichanga or a burrito superemo. After reviewing the menu, I talked Phil into ordering the fajitas for two. Ryan ordered Enchiladas Supremas which consisted of four rolled corn tortillas (one each of shredded beef, chicken, bean, and cheese) topped with red sauce, cheese, lettuce, tomato, and sour cream. After reading the description of Ryan's dish, I almost changed my mind, but I really wanted the fajitas. Our orders were taken, and our drinks were refilled. Phil and Ryan asked me about my trip, and I told them parts of it. I didn't get into how nasty Mom had been, but Phil picked up on the fact that something did not go good. I asked them about how they spent Friday night, and they told me that they had gone to the Olive Garden and had a quiet dinner, then, they took in a movie. Phil told me that he was up and out of the house early because he had a truckload of shrubbery arriving at one of the sections of the development that would be a park, and he had to be there to sign off on the paperwork. Ryan told me that he slept in, but as soon as he had eaten breakfast he walked down to Myles' and sat with him while he ate breakfast. He said that Myles was really trying to be strong, and it helps when everybody treats him normally, but when they start trying to make things easy because he is sick, he gets very down. He said "Dad, I don't understand how things worked out like they did, but I can't think of a better way. Myles has always been a member of our family and now it is all legal." I told Ryan that we were going to make it official and legal as soon as the lawyer finished filing the proper paperwork with the courts. Our food arrived and the sizzle of the meat, onions and peppers in the small cast iron skillet added a unique sound to our table. Phil opened the tortillas and handed me one and I made my fajita using the tomatoes, guacamole, sour cream and lettuce. I looked over at Ryan's plate, and could not resist cutting off a piece of his shredded beef tortilla. It was good. I could not believe how hungry I was, and well, Phil was right there with me. I thought we were going to have to reorder, but we decided to not pig out. Ryan asked me when are we going to make the announcement, because it was getting really difficult to keep things quiet. I told him that we were going to do it tomorrow afternoon. I told him about the watermelon and cantaloupe get together which reminded me that we had to pick those up early tomorrow morning so that they would be cold by afternoon. Phil wanted to know if I was going to put them in the refrigerator or ice them down in coolers. I told him that I preferred the coolers. He told me that he would take the coolers down out of the garage and put them in the Denali tonight when we got home. I thanked him. The waiter brought our bill to the table, and I paid for our dinner. We left the restaurant and headed home. We walked into the house and everybody headed to their bedrooms. I told Phil that even though I had slept really good at Mom's last night, that the drive and everything else had worn me out and all I wanted to do was sleep. He looked disappointed, but I promised him that we would have some fun soon. We slipped into bed after turning off the lamps, and I think I was the first one to fall asleep. Sunday morning made its appearance, and I really tried to resist by spending more time in bed. Phil was content to just lay there and talk however, Ryan was a different story. He started calling me and wanting to know when breakfast would be cooked. I finally had to get out of bed, shower and dress for the day. I walked into the kitchen and Ryan had pulled the eggs, bacon, cheese, hash-browns, an onion, and bread from the refrigerator or pantry and placed it on the counter. This served as a suggestion for what he wanted for breakfast. I thought, why not, so I cooked our breakfast and left the cleanup to Ryan. I told Phil that we needed to go shopping, so he grudgingly joined me, and we were off to the grocery store. We arrived at the store, and I did my usual shopping for the week, plus I bought three watermelons and three cantaloupes. Phil started fussing because we did not have enough coolers for the watermelons. I told him that we would borrow what we needed. He then said, "Okay, so how are you going to deal with the ice issue?" I said "We are going to place the melons in the back, go by the ice machine, fill the coolers with ice and buy another bag or two of ice." I was somewhat surprised that I did not run into Landon this time, but maybe that was a good sign. We finished shopping, went to the ice machine, purchased the ice and returned home. I sent Ryan over to Jay's to borrow more coolers. He and Jay returned carrying one a piece. We placed the melons and cantaloupes in the coolers and iced them down. I made a large pot of spaghetti sauce. I put together a quick garden salad and used some of the Olive Garden Salad Dressing that I had bought at the grocery store. I buttered about half a loaf of Italian bread and sprinkled garlic powder on the slices. This would be a quick and easy lunch. I let the sauce simmer and then, when it was ready I put a large pot of water on the stove and brought it to a boil and added the spaghetti noodles. I placed the bread in the oven and tried to watch it very carefully as I have been known to let it burn. As it cooked, I called Ryan and Phil to the kitchen. Ryan pulled the salad out of the refrigerator, and I took the bread out of the oven. We sat at the counter and had lunch. Ryan asked if he could go to Myles' house after lunch, and I agreed. I told him to tell Myles that I would see him later in the afternoon. Phil told me that he needed to go to the development, and I thought, good deal, I need some quality quiet time to myself. They left, and I cleaned the kitchen. After I had finished in the kitchen, I walked down to my office and began to make a list of the things that I needed to talk to the lawyer about tomorrow. I also began to think of some stuff that I needed to discuss with my banker. After I had worked on those lists for about an hour, I looked them over and was impressed with my substantial list. I logged into my school email account and began to read emails from the staff, from Mr. Richards, and from parents. I responded to those that required a response and filed the others. I stopped what I was doing around five o'clock and called Michelle. She and I talked for a few minutes about tonight's meeting. She said that she was ready and that she and the boys were about to leave their house to come to my house when I called. After I hung up, I walked to the kitchen and pulled one of my long slicing knives and a spoon out of the utensil drawer. I located several travel sized containers of salt and put them on the counter too. Michelle and the boys walked in the front door and joined me in the kitchen. Myles said "Dad, I am so happy to be able to come down here today; I was getting claustrophobia at my house. Mom won't let me go out, and although I understand, it is so boring looking at the same four walls." I said "Myles, we love you so much, and we are doing everything possible to make sure that you become healthy again." He shrugged his shoulders and said to Ryan "Let's go to your room and listen to some music." They walked down the hallway to Ryan's bedroom and Michelle looked at me. "I agree with him, it is not fun, I am not having fun. It is totally frustrating, but it is the only way I know how to protect him until the chemo is finished," she said. I asked about his upcoming appointments, and she gave me a quick rundown. As we were deciding which appointments I would be a part of, the front doorbell rang. I answered it and it was Colt, Christine, and Rob, the girls decided to stay home and watch a love story. I welcomed them into the house and Colt headed to the family room while Christine joined Michelle in the kitchen. Rob wanted to know where the boys were, and I pointed to Ryan's room. He joined them, and I joined Colt in the family room. Colt asked about Phil. I told him that Phil had to go and check on some things at the development, but would be back in time to join us for the get- together. In a few minutes, Justin, Meredith, and Jay arrived. Jay took a look in the family room, turned and headed to Ryan's room. Justin joined Colt and me in the family room while Meredith joined Christine and Michelle in the kitchen. Meredith yelled to me and wanted to know if I had the table out back ready for the melons. I had completely forgotten about the table, so I hurriedly grabbed a plastic tablecloth from the garage, placed it on the table and hosed it off. I grabbed a handful of paper towels and began to dry the tablecloth, then Colt, Justin, and I began to bring the melons to the table. Christine brought the knife and the salt shakers. Meredith began to slice the melons while Michelle began to rake the seeds from the center of the cut cantaloupes. After every melon had been cut, I called the boys to join us outside. Everybody grabbed a slice of melon and began to eat. The boys decided to show that they had mastered the skill of seed spitting until Meredith dared one to do it just one more time. I thought Jay was going to take her up on it, but she gave him a look that scared his unborn children. Phil walked out, grabbed a piece of melon and joined us. Justin looked over at me and said "I have done some research on the Tennessee trip, and I thought I would share it with everyone after you have your meeting tonight. I imagine that Michelle will not allow Myles to go, and I certainly understand that, but I am looking forward to getting out of town." I had forgotten that we were supposed to discuss that trip after it was revealed that Myles was my son. My dilemma now was should I let Ryan go without me, should I go on the trip too, or should I try to persuade Michelle to let Myles go as long as he did not get into the mountain streams or be involved in strenuous activities. We finished eating our melons and put the rinds in the garbage can. I asked Ryan and Jay to take the cans to the side of the road for pick-up as tomorrow was garbage day. Rob helped me hose off the table, and then, he and I spread the table cloth over a couple of bushes along the backyard. Phil was not too happy with me, but I can handle him. We walked into the family room and everybody found them a place to sit. Michelle and I sat on the hearth of the fireplace. I began by saying, "Michelle and I have some information that we would like to share with you because we feel that all of us are one big family. Meredith responded "Yeah, well don't think you are getting a bigger Christmas present this year!" I smiled and said "Did I get one last year?" She shot me a look, and I had to chuckle. I said "We would like to bring you up to date on Myles. Michelle and I will jointly give this report, but I am going to start by saying that I went with Michelle the other day to meet with the doctors regarding Myles' treatments. During that meeting we learned that his treatments might impact his bone marrow, so they began asking questions related to siblings, father and mother. Michelle is the single provider for Myles therefore, she was ruled out." Michelle takes over then, and says "Every since we moved into this neighborhood, I have said that Myles' father left us for places unknown. That is not totally true." Christine sat up and said "So what is the real story?" Michelle hesitated and said "Years ago, I really wanted a child and to be a mother, but every guy that I met, just did not meet my standards. I could not shake the feeling of motherhood, so I talked with my family about my desires. They suggested many of the local guys, but they just were not my type. This feeling persisted, and I decided to explore options with a doctor in Atlanta. He recommended that I consider using the services of a sperm donor." Meredith uttered some type of comment or noise, but Michelle continued. I returned to my family and told them of my meeting with the doctor, they were vehemently opposed to this, and told me that if I persisted, that they would be forced to exclude me from the family." I looked around the room and everybody was focused on Michelle. She continued "I made the decision to go with my heart, so I told the doctor that I wanted to proceed and after a special procedure, I was pregnant with my wonderful son Myles." Colt spoke up and said "Michelle, you have a wonderful son, and it does not matter how he was conceived, what matters is that you brought a wanted child into this world, and you have provided him with the best that you could do." Michelle nodded and said "Well, that brings us back to the visit with Myles' doctors last week, I had to tell the doctors and Doug was there to hear all of this information. I was really worried that they would judge me like my family had, but they didn't. The doctors told us that there is a national registry, and that, we could try for a DNA match. I looked across the room and Myles was about to burst. I knew that we had to speed this conversation up or else, Myles was going to spill the beans. I jumped in, and shared "Michelle told us that the only thing that she had was an identification number for the donor dad." Myles could not contain it any longer and he burst out with "And now I know who my Dad is!" Everyone looked at Myles, and then, back to the two of us. I said "I had a need to earn a little extra money when I was in college so I investigated being a donor. I made a couple of donations, and when Michelle shared the identification code, it sounded familiar, real familiar" and "He's my Dad" yelled Myles and Ryan added "And I have a for real brother". The room went stone cold quiet. Justin looked between us and said "Are you sure? Doug, we all know you have always loved Myles, but are you jumping into this without thinking?" I looked at him and said "Justin, I accept that Myles is my son, I am happy beyond words, I always wanted another child, and I prayed and prayed that I would be a Dad to more children. I feel that the Lord answered my prayer in his own timeframe. We want you all to be happy for us, and especially, Myles." Christine said "I would never have guessed in a thousand years that this would be topic for tonight's meeting, but I can tell that this has made Myles one happy young man, and I am so excited for him and for you two." Meredith said "I have to admit that I am dumbfounded, but you know, if you look at Myles, you can see some of Doug in him, and there are similarities in both Ryan and Myles. I agree Doug, the Lord does work in mysterious ways, and I am so glad that this has worked out for the two of you." I looked at Michelle and she nodded at me, so I continued "We are so happy that we have been able to share this with you tonight, I will be taking a DNA swab, and it will be analyzed to see if I am a positive match. If so, and if Myles does need a bone marrow transplant, then it will be me that will serve as the donor." Justin said "Well, I had hoped that we could discuss a Labor Day trip, but I think we all need to stay in town and support Myles and his family." Colt had been quiet throughout this revelation, but he finally spoke up "Doug, how is this going to play out? Will you and Michelle get together or will you share Myles?" Michelle spoke up and said "Colt, there are a number of things that we have yet to discuss. We made have made the decision that our decisions will be made with input from Myles, Ryan, and the lawyer. Doug has said that we shared Myles in the past without knowing and that he doesn't see why we can continue in that vein, the only thing that has changed is that he has two parents that he now can touch." Justin turned to Phil and asked "How do you feel about all of this?" Phil was taken aback by the question, but did a quick recovery. He said "I could not be happier for Myles and his family. I am proud to be a part of it, and I hope that this news spurs Myles to fight harder against this disease. I know that a positive attitude helps in the fight against cancer." Meredith looked at her phone and said "Guys, I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we have school tomorrow and some of the young men in this room have to get up and go tomorrow morning, so I am going to speak for the group, We are so happy for all of you. We love each and every one of you, and we are so glad that you felt comfortable enough to consider us as family. You are loved unconditionally. Michelle, you have nothing to worry about any more and I want to say that your family made a serious mistake." Michelle teared up, and Christine walked over and hugged her. Colt and Justin walked over and shook my hand, then, all of the adults turned and hugged Myles. He had tears in his eyes and you could tell that he was so relieved that his good news was now public. Justin and Colt left with their families leaving me, Michelle, Phil, Ryan and Myles. Michelle was the first to speak "I am so relieved that we have that out in the open, and I am so appreciative to each one of them for their positive response to our news. My only concern is that I didn't hear anything from Jay or Rob." I said "I looked around the room and watched them as the news unfolded, they were shocked, but they nodded their heads and seemed to take the news positively." Ryan said "If they say anything wrong, they will have to deal with me." I said "Son, you are really getting into the big brother role." Myles cleared his throat, and said "Older brother role," and most of us burst out laughing. Ryan did not find that funny. Michelle stood and turned to Myles and said "I am exhausted, and I can only imagine that you are worn out, as well. Can you walk home, or do I need to ask Doug to drive us?" He looked at Michelle and said, "I can walk, I want to be outside for a change, I am sooooo tired of being cooped up in the house." With that decision made, they gave each of us a hug and headed home. I looked at Phil and Ryan. Ryan said "I know, off to bed we go." I nodded and began to make sure that the house was secure while turning out the lights. Phil beat me to the bedroom and had stripped and was in the shower by the time I made it there. He took a quick shower and joined me in the bedroom as I was laying out my clothes for tomorrow. He gave me some unsolicited advice on some of my choices, but I eventually made the choice that made me happy. I walked over to my side of the bed and pulled back the bedspread. Something was different, I looked down and there was a picture frame turned face down. I picked it up. It was a frame with the words "My Sons" and pictures of both Myles and Ryan. I turned and looked at Phil. I walked over and hugged him while thanking him for this wonderful and timely gift. He said "I had a little help from Michelle, but it was my idea." I said "I will find the perfect place for it tomorrow and then, I got into bed after placing it on my nightstand . We had just made ourselves comfortable when Phil's phone began to ring. He looked at it and said "It's Brandon." He answered with "Hey Brandon, what's up bro?" Phil didn't say another word for a while because Brandon was doing all of the talking, finally Phil said "Hold on," and he turned to me and asked "Can you house Brandon for a few days?" I looked at Phil and said "Did you honestly have to ask? Your brother is welcome in this house at any time." Phil told Brandon that he would be looking forward to seeing him on Wednesday night and hung up. I looked at Phil and he said "He said that he needs to talk to me and that it is urgent, but he would not tell me what, so now I will worry until he gets here." We lay down after turning off the lights, but it was not a night of restful sleeping. We both tossed and turned all night long.
