Both of my parents had died, first my father and then my mother. They say my mother died from pneumonia but I think it was a broken heart. My parents were inseparable and had a love one could only dream of, a love that I had dreamt of for as long as I can possibly remember. I was on my own for the very first time as a young man and something was calling me to head out West, so I packed my bags and headed for Kansas. My flight was quite long, I mean I had to sit in coach with a screaming baby, a four year old who wouldn't stop kicking my seat, and an old man who fell asleep and drooled on my shoulder for the entire eight hour flight. When I arrived in Topeka all I had were the clothes on my back and five bucks in my pocket. I had no clue what I was going to do or where I was going to stay. I drifted in to a local restaurant that night shortly after I arrived, that's where I met him Steve Anderson. He was the most handsome man I had ever seen, granted he was only sixteen. He was six foot three with the body of an Adonis with dirty blonde hair and silky tan skin, and an ass that you could crack an egg off of, which is another story for another time. It seemed as if I was sitting at that little table in the corner for a good half an hour when Steve finally came over to take my order. I just ordered a coke and fries, because like I said I only had that five bucks in my pocket, and I needed to save money for a newspaper, after all I did need a job.
