Getting up from the computer, Denis walks over to the window of their bungalow, facing the backyard. "Who?" He inquires of Mark, his seventeen year old rooming mate. "The blonde stud. Oh hell yeah. I think I've died and gone to heaven!" Right on top of Denis' head, Mark lets the blind fall. "Owwwch!" "What about me?" "It's not like I'm madly in love with him, Mark, dah!" The two stand there, staring. "What?" Denis finally breaks the ice. "Nothin', other than this is the first time you've ever referred to us as being `in love'?" "Oh. Well, I didn't mean like we're `in love' love." "Oh, okay." Looking at Mark walk away, opening a text book on the desk, he didn't have to - being it Saturday. Denis wonders what is going on with him. "Hey Mark, what'sup?" "Not a thing." Being a seventeen year old, to a seventeen year old, it wasn't a good enough answer. Walking over to his step-brother, Denis throws his arms around his teen room mate, hugging him, chest to back. "Hey. C'mon, Mark. We're brothers. I'm always going to love you, man." In deep thought, Mark says nothing. "You.." Denis forcefully twirls Mark around, "didn't think everything was going to mean more than that, did you?" "I think..." Denis could sense this getting serious. He backed away. "The first time you fucked me, well it was more of a novelty." "Novelty?" "My first time getting it. You giving it?" "Okay, so?" Denis questions, hoping this is not going the way of his thinking. "The only thing I kind of felt, is the pain when you shoved yourself inside of me." "Not true! I was careful about not causing you pain. I can't help it that you were so tight, Mark!" "Yeah, okay. I guess I didn't put it right." "Well, forget the first time...." "Oh, I'll never forget it, Den." "You're scaring me here, Mark." "Like I said, the `first time', was the `first time'. Second time you fucked me? I think I felt more." "More? Like what?" "Something." Not sure he wanted to hear the rest of Mark's feelings, Denis turned from the feelings, to the actual incident. "Oh course you felt something. In a week's time, your asshole closed up. Prolly went back to normal. It's only natural the second time I entered you, you would feel `some' pain, Mark." "I'm not talking about pain, Denis! Look, we're going to be graduating soon, going away to college." "So, what's your point, Mark?" Slowing down, Mark said more gently, "We might not see each other for awhile." The situation escalating, in Denis' mind, he sought a quick `out'. "Look, whatever you felt, I didn't feel it, okay?" With his feelings out, Denis grabs his jacket, heading out the door. Mark, walked to the closet. He didn't open the door. Instead, the seventeen year old leaned his forehead against it, put his fists over his head, pounding on it. Tears streamed down his cheeks. % "So, how did you like your first day on the job?" "I think I've got `dish pan hands'!" Justin Beanhacker replied. Michael turned to Christian. "You didn't tell him about the rubber gloves?" "Oops!" "It's okay," Justin replies, holding up two reddened hands, wrinkled. "No sweat... well yeah, kind of." This time, Christian exchanged glances with Michael, as Justin lifted the front of his shirt, pinning it behind his neck, flaunting the frontal region of his bod. "Whew! It got really hot in here, y'know, the steam and all?" Justin makes an excuse for himself. "It still is!" Michael commented, suggestively. Dark hair, lightly defining Justin's pecs, outlining the curves, before it formed into a neat trail, paved down his stomach, skipping over his deep navel, before heading under his beltline, made the temperature rise about ninety-eight point six degrees, the his twenty year old bod reflecting the heated conditions, his body hair as if coming out of the shower. Christian, seeing where Michael's thoughts traveled, said, "Justin can't work here, because he's already employed at his Uncle's store." "Which one?" "The Army'n'Navy." "Oh yeah. I know the place. Seb Beanhacker. I take it he's related to you?" "That's right," Justin agreed. "But if you need the help, I can work part time, doing it around my other job." The thirty-one year old cafe owner, still scanning Justin's hot bod, let his crotch make the decision. "Well, sure. Any time you can give me, would be appreciated. When can you start?" His shoulders, bopping up and down, Justin replies, "I thought I already have." "Cool!" Christian replied. "But I don't want any hanky-panky going on between you two!" "Michael, we're not two high school kids, y'know." "I know. Here...." Reaching in his pocket, Michael pulls out a wad of bills. He peels off a few. "Pay day is every Saturday." "Whooaaaa! That's more than I make in a week!" "Bullshit!" Michael mocked him. "A bonus for helping me out when I need it." "Um, does this mean you're docking me?" Christian questions him. "I should, but on account of having you break Justin in, instead myself doing it, I suppose you will want double time today?" Both Christian and Justin knew Michael jived them with the double talk. "Of course!" After Michael dished out more than enough, both thanked him. "Now get the hell outta here and spend some of it!" "But we haven't finished cleaning up," Justin says. "Never mind. I don't want to be accused by your uncle of working you to the bone." With more thank you's, the two left. Out the door, Christian says, "Um, you better put your shirt down?" "Hee hee... yeah. I thought it felt drafty." "Did you catch Michael checking you out?" "He didn't hide it too well." Christian let Justin into his car. "I think it's kind of cool we'll be sleeping under the same roof tonight, Chris." "More than cool." Before turning over the engine, putting on his seat belt, Christian turned to Justin for a smooch. % "Oh man, my back's killing me," Chad complained, locking up the front door of Barr's and Bridges. "Mmmmm... I suppose you'll need some extra attention tonight?" Chad didn't dispute the fact. Getting into the SUV, they headed up Van Dusen, towards home. "Hey wait." "What?" "Wasn't that Marco we just passed?" "I dunno. I was paying attention to the road." "Back up." With his right arm behind Matty's seat, Chad expertly drove backwards. "There!" "Looks like he's hitching for a ride." "No, dah," Matty replies. "Ask him if he wants a ride." Matty could have replied sarcastically the second time, but just took it in stride, smiling. Out of his window, Chad still three feet away, Matty yells, "Heeeeey! You need a lift, Marcoooo?" In a few seconds, Marco's chest matched the open window, til he bent down. "Would sure appreciate it. At least part of the way." "Huh?" Matty questioned. "I mean, as far as you're going." Chad asks, "Who was supposed to pick you up?" "My dad, but he had to change his route." Chad, knows the Benevuto's live quite a ways from here. Estimating, he asks, "So you are going to hitch hike fifty miles?" "I don't think it's that far," the seventeen year old replies. "Okay, so it's forty-six," Chad revises his estimate. "I could have probably gotten a ride." Matty, who has lived all his life in these parts, informs him, "Only one Saturday night, and it had been the night of the great flood, Van Dusen became bumper to bumper. Other than that, you're lucky Chad and I came by." "Really?" "Yup." "Then I suppose I'm lucky you stopped. Thanks." "I have an idea." Both Matty and Marco paid attention to Chad. "I'm not up for a long drive tonight. Why don't you check with your folks..." "It's only dad, my brothers and I, except my Aunt Cecilia who checks in on us." "Oh? I hadn't realized it." Chad, as well as Matty pick up on the missing link. "I was a little guy, when it happened." Chad reflected back on Philip, adopted, coming into their family as a `little guy'. "Aunt Cecilia told me it happened when my little brother, Giorgio, was born. I didn't understand much, being a kid. My aunt said Giorgio came home from the hospital, but she didn't." The couple got the gist of Marco's story, adding sympathies like it happened in recent times. "Thanks. Are you sure I'm not putting you two out?" Matty answered it for him, "No problem. We have plenty of room." Indeed, when they pulled up Bridges Lane, Marco was all goo-goo eyes, looking from side-to-side, at the rather large parcels of property, hints of big homes, through the forests. "This sure is something." Making a left and then a right, Chad traveled a long block, then made a right turn, traveling under a wrought iron arch. "Whoooooooaaaa... this is way too much." Chad wondered if Matty thought, as he did, hoping Marco didn't faint when he saw their home. % "Well, well, well... look what the cat dragged in!" "Oh hi Maury." "That's it? After I haven't seen either of you for three days?" Belching out loud, Jim asks, "Did you really miss us that much?" "Yeah. It's been so quiet I had to put on my `noise' CD." Connor walked over to the fridge, opening it, `shopping' . "I'm starved." "Yeah and that's another thing." "What?" Jim asked, the high school senior stripping his tee. "The fridge started to get `overloaded', with food?" "Cool! Pizza, Jim!" "What's-it got on it?" "Well, I can make out the mushrooms, but I'm not sure what this green fuzzy stuff is." Taking a look, Jim replies, "Try `mold', dimwit!" "I knew that." "I was almost ready to go out and buy a goat, to take up the slack in leftovers." "I get the feeling Maury really missed us, Connor." Nudging his lover, Jim nods towards Maury, sitting at the table. He also tagged at the edge of Connor's tee shirt, hinting him to strip it, then to follow his lead. Standing to Maury's right, Jim butted his crotch right into Maury's shoulder. "What tha?" Connor took the hint, doing the same to Maury's left shoulder. "Heeeeey, what are you two trying to pull." "Why don't you pull down my zipper, Maury and I'll show you!" "Oh no... I'm not playing your game, so you can forget it." Placing both hands on the table, he gets up. "Sore sport," Connor tells him. "I got caught in this sandwich once before...." Cutting him off, Jim says, "Like you hated having two eighteen year olds as the bread?" "No. It's just that I don't intend on being the meat again." "Hey, Jim... Connor... what's shaking?" Not only did Maury's latino lover stand there, literally in the flesh, top half exposed, Ron stood with him, both with towels wrapped around their waists. "Who's the stud?" Jim asks, adding, "A new boytoy?" Maury gets a sinfully wicked idea. "Yeah, a little graduation present for you two, all waiting to be unwrapped!" Ron didn't utter a word, as Jim came over to inspect, Connor following. "He looks like he could be fun," Jim's blond counterpart assessed. "I don't know Connor," his love replied. "Me neither." Knowing of Maury, often having three in a bed, they weren't sure if they wanted to enjoy the same, especially with the third guy being ten years older than themselves. Maury picked up on the disappointment on Ron's face. If Jim and Connor weren't game, he knew he'd be able to dig up at least one high school senior or a couple of college students willing to play. "Going once..." "What about it Connor?" "I don't know. What do you want to do?" "Twice." "Um, it could be fun to try it?" As if a bargaining chip, Ron, licked his lips, breaking out in a slight sweat. "I'm willing, if you are." "Let's go for it!" "Sold!" Maury slammed his fist down on the table. Everything `jumped', knocking his beer bottle over. The contents ran off the table, into his lap. "You slob! What am I going to do with you?" Ricardo scolds him. Backing away from the table, his crotch, clad in a pair of boxer shorts, doused, he answers, "What do you think you should do?" The smile on Maury's face, gave Ricardo a big hint. "Well, I guess we should be going," Jim says, scratching his head. "Um, yeah," Connor agreed. As the three left the kitchen, Maury throws a nod Ron's way, but looks at Jim, "And you better do every they tell you to do, Ron!" "Yes," he wasn't sure how much they knew, but chance, "sir." "Cool!" Jim's eyes lit up with excitement. "Nice, Jim," Connor said to his lover, "two suckboys for ya!" If Ron got his way, he would be sucking up to two masters and loving it. Sometimes bottom-guys can pull a fast one, ruling the roost! % Sweating, Denis came in from outside, with the others. He procrastinated, not wanting to face Mark, in their room. "I hope you are going to shower before dinner, Denis." "Um... yeah. I wanted to get an orange juice, first." Making light of the situation, Steve says, "You stink, that's all." "I know I smell dad, okay?" "Uh-on," Barry says to his lover, as Denis storms out of the kitchen. "Do you want to go or me?" "How about both of us?" Steve agreed. Instead of heading towards the seventeen year olds' room, they find Denis sacking out on the den couch. "Denis, something bothering you, son?" Sitting on the sofa, Denis tossed the little square pillow up in the air, catching it. Steve, stepping nearby, caught it, on one of the `up' tosses. "Somebody have a problem?" "I don't want to talk about it." "Fine," Barry replies, "then I think you owe your father an apology?" "Sorry," the sloppy apology is given. "Accepted," Steve answers, dropping the pillow on Denis' stomach. "Now that that's out of the way, what's this about?" Denis lay there, hugging the pillow, thinking. Finally he opened up, spilling out all that happened this afternoon, in their room. "Well, we never said anything to you, but us guys haven't been sleeping in our own beds, the whole night, for the last coupla years." "Doesn't surprise me... um us," Barry looks to Steve. "And well, to tell you the truth..." Steve butts in, "Which is good for the soul!" Denis went right on, "We've been trying out some stuff." "Stuff?" Barry goads him on. Steve and Barry already had set in their minds, what was transpiring, but it became important to hear it from their son, not assuming. "Kissing," Denis shrugs his shoulders, "hugging, matching up our bodies. That kind of stuff." "And is that all?" By now, Denis can pretty much tell his dads know what else they've been doing. So, he goes for it. "And... I don't know how it happened, but Mark sort of wanted to try it," he waited a second, getting up the nerve, a little scared his dads would come down on him, "sucking my cock and... I let him." "Doesn't surprise us." "Really? I thought you would be freaking out!" "How could we be naive, thinking two gay boys, same age, in the room together, would not resort to trying out sexual things?" Steve asks his son. Barry thought it a wise choice of words. "So, you can probably already figure out," Denis proceeded with caution, "we tried out...." A pause showed Denis' nervousness. "Well, the truth is, I fucked Mark." Waiting a longer period of time, the dads digested what they heard. "I suppose you're kind of mad at us, huh?" Instead, Barry steers the conversation on a different course, "And what does this have to do with you and Mark?" "Today, this afternoon before I went out to play with Aidan and the guys, Mark kind of wondered... asked... well you see, I kind of made a comment about Terence's boyfriend, who I didn't know at the time was his boyfriend." The dads waited. "Mark sort of got jealous-like. I think. Anyway, he said stuff like when we made love he felt something." "Love?" Steve replied. "Yeah. I think that's what he was trying to get at, but I wasn't sure." "Not sure?" "Yeah. I mean it felt good kissing him, hugging him, having our bodies mashed together and all, plus it was like pleasure I never felt before, with him licking and sucking my cock. It sure felt great fucking him, but.... I'm not sure I sensed much more than pleasure. You know what I mean?" Having been through precisely the same, only the two dads sensing much more than the mating ritual, the two acknowledge the facts. "Of course," Barry replies, leaning in, putting his hand on Denis' arm. "Perhaps Mark did feel something different, more of a bonding than yourself." Steve asks, "So, how did you handle his remarks to you?" "I was in a panic. A guy, even though he is my own brother....step-brother, coming out with news like he `loves' me, well... I gave up... grabbed my jacket and ran out of the room." "I see," Barry states, Steve acknowledging the same. "Dumb thing to do, huh?" "When you're inexperienced at things like this," Barry lectures him, "it's easy to get upset, run away from it, find the correct words to say." "Exactly," Denis replies. "Well, I think I better check up on our other son," Steve replies, getting up from sitting on the arm of the leather sofa. "Need help?" Barry offers. "No. I think I can handle it." "Sorry," Denis added one last time. "You can't make yourself fall in love with somebody. In the long run, you both lose out." "I guess so." Steve returns, saying, "Well, he's not in his room." "That's where I left him," Denis said, sitting up, from the reclining position. "I'm getting some bad vibes about this," Steve announces, getting nervous. "Calm down," Barry replied. "I'm sure he's outside for a walk, to think about things." Both Barry and Denis got up, to help look. "Dinner's on the table," Max butts in. "You and the kids go on without us." Seeing the question on their cook's face, Steve explains, "Mark is missing." "Missing?" "He's probably outside. You go on without us, okay Max?" "If you say so." "And Max?" "Yeah, Steve?" "Don't mention this to the others?" Reporting back to the kitchen he only mentioned it to Berk. While outside, looking around, he came up to Barry. "Max tells me Mark is missing?" "We.... Steve told Max not to tell anyone." "Only I know. I can help." And he did. Even though the grass remained pressed down, from the tag football game, between the squirts, Denis, Terence Beethoven and his boyfriend, Berk pointed out a trail leading off into the back. "The barn. Of course!" Steve guessed. The three adults, Denis trailing behind, hustled through the backyard, dodging the small, freshly planted fir trees, among the already established ones. Berk led the way, using his keen sense of trail knowledge, to point the search party in the right direction. Coming to the barn, Berk stepped aside, allowing Barry to man the door. Swinging the hinged door open, they began their search. "Mark?" Barry called out, Steve and the other doing likewise. "I'm not mad at you!" Denis added to the search. However, Mark was not found to be hiding out among the lumber, used in the reconstruction of the dilapidated building. "I'm scared, Dad," Denis relents. "Don't be son," Barry coddled him. Berk tells them, "I will get us some help." "Um, I think we should alert the rest?" Barry mentions to Steve. He shook his head up and down, with the affirmative. All the way through the back yard, Denis kept blaming himself, a natural reaction. Unknowing to all, Mark, his school-pack attached to his back, with a few perishables, headed up Van Dusen Blvd., almost to the town line. A passing motorist picked him up, `concerned' with the teen, out for a `hike' on such a chilly evening. % Copyright 2006 T.
