Chase McPhee % It was common knowledge, at least between Riley Sanchez and the state social worker, the two didn't get along. In front of others they withheld their grievances towards each other, maintaining a professional standard when it came to their professions. However from the start of the hearing Riley sensed his adversary, Ron Nussbaum, Ron's preference to Aaron, was ready to use anything as a pawn against him. Before the hearing began he heard Riley connecting with the child involved, assuring him things were going to work out just fine. In his mind, Ron had thoughts of discrediting Riley. Perhaps evil in nature, he thought, `Wouldn't be terrible if things didn't work out for the kid?' He was smiling already, his verdict well set in his mind, his only objective, vengeful thoughts. On the other hand, when they all sat in the courtroom, Riley had a feeling about Aaron, the grin on his face until the judge started the proceedings under way. Going through the regular jargon associated with a hearing from the department of social and family services, Judge Cromwell went through his monologue. At first Nussbaum stated his position on behalf of the office of family services. Meant to harm rather than help, he was sure to reveal the fact Riley's nephew, Miguel Sanchez had knowledge of the situation and kept the fact from authorities. "I hardly think the mention of Miguel Sanchez is relevant to this case," Eric Danziger protested to the judge. Even though stricken from the proceedings, Riley knew he had to be careful, catching `Aaron' using anything and everything which would humiliate him in front of the court officials. Representing Alac Davalos, his attorney appointed him, Eric tapped Alac on the shoulder to assure him things were going fine. Knowing his brother was nervous, as was himself, Alac whispered to Davide, "See? Eric is going to make everything okay for us." A little whiny, the ten year old replies, "I'm scared Alac. I don't want them to take me away from you." "None of us want that," Alac said, an arm around his brother's shoulders for comfort. Eric presented a fine defense for Alac, showing him just as responsible and loving as a father image. When it came down to the final ruling, Eric had to reveal, "Your honor, the reason my client had his brother staying with him is a result of financial difficulties." Eric went on to explain circumstances which resulted from the parent's early death, bills paid from sale of the estate and Alac's own personal college expenses. When all was said and done, Eric, Alac, Davide and Riley sat there on needles and pins waiting for the judge to make a decision. On the other hand, Ron Nussbaum sat with hands folded in front of on the table, ninety-nine percent positive WRCC would not allow Davide to continue living at the dorm. Judge Cromwell's words met with Alac's face, meeting with defeat. Davide questioned, "What did he say?" It was Eric who crouched down next to the ten year old and explained things to him. Davide whined when Eric had to be the one to explain Alac and he would have to be separated for a little while, placed into foster care until Alac could provide for the two of them, "But Eric, you said Alac and I were going to be together." Alac spoke up, "It's not going to happen. I'll find a way to keep us together. You'll see." Outside the courtroom, Riley saw Aaron duck into the jon. He headed in the direction, admitting himself. Standing there at the sink, Ron had crossed his legs, arms folded across his chest. "I had a feeling I was being followed." Riley got right to the point, a foot casting the garbage can to the door so the handle couldn't be depressed from the outside as he answered, "You could have made it easier on the Davalos. You could have awarded Davide to Alac," he spelled out the options rather than surrendering Davide into the foster care system. "I could have," Ron said nonchalantly. With obvious intention he states, "What a shame. The kid probably hates your guts now!" He ended his statement with a smile. Leaning with his shoulder on the stall, Riley folded his arms across his middle, showing a more relaxed stature as he submitted, "Y'know it's not too late for you to go out there and change the judge's mind?" "Now why would I want to do that?" Nussbaum delivered snuggly. He straightened up, felt a gut reaction of nervousness when Riley stretched out his arms, cracked his knuckles, the police officer turning the corner of lips up in a slight smile. "Tell me, ahem... `Aaron', remember that little party we had down at Joe's place, ummmm, six or eight years ago?" "Joe Harris. Yeah sure. I remember it," Ron replied, not as gleefully as a minute ago. He still got a tingly sensation in his crotch whenever he thought of Joe Harris' party, the nineteen year old college guy who accompanied him to the party meant for leather doings. "What was that boy's name you brought? Simon?" "You're way off Riley. Try Jared." "Good memory. Better than mine." Ron wondered where Riley was going with this. Nobody at the party except himself knew about how long and hard he worked his boy. "Must've cost you plenty to keep your boy's mouth shut," Riley slowly dropped a hint of Aaron's activities at the party after everyone else had left. His memory in overdrive, Ron recalled a few things. Joe Harris had deserted his own party and crashed upstairs in front of the Tv when the others left, leaving Ron and his `boy' alone in the basement. But Ron felt vindicated of any wrong, knowing he was alone and not another sole witness to the `fun' he had with his college jock. "You have nothing on me, Sanchez." "Nothing, Aaron? You covered your tracks pretty well, offering to pay the boy's tuition at another college as long as he left town. I'd say your `rush' that night at the party cost you plenty." "Rush? What the fuck are you talking about?" It made Riley smile, feel good inside he was making Aaron Nussbaum sweat, some perspiration causing the front of his dress shirt, mid-chest, to look wet. Confirming he was getting through, Ron moving his shirt with his hand, between his pecs to soak up the moisture, proved he was making Ron nervous. "I bet you thought you covered all your tracks?" "You don't know what you're talking about, Sanchez," Ron called his bluff. With more of a smile Riley revealed, "Tell you Aaron, I hadn't a clue myself, but did you know Joe Harris was video-taping the party that night?" Ron almost slid off of the sink, one hand catching him from his ass taking the plunge. It made Riley laugh. "Yeah, ain't it a pisser?" "But if he was taping me, he had to be taping the other guys and.... you... what about you? You were there that night with some boy?" Standing directly in front of Aaron, Riley says, "Yeah I was there and like the other guys. I was having a helluva good time too!" Ron summoned up a vision in his mind of that night, eight years ago as fresh as if it happened yesterday. Planted in his brain, he pictured in front of him his college boy, doing all kinds of kinky stuff which was only limited by his own imagination. Integrated thoughts recalled Riley having a great time, though more subdued than the activities he hurled upon his guest at the party. "So what makes you exonerated from the activities from that night, Riley? Huh? I'm sure Joe Harris has as much on you as me?" "Had," Riley put it. "Remember after the party, about two weeks later, Joe Harris took a nice vacation to Hawaii?" "Joe Harris? He's a part time clerk at the post office. He doesn't have that kind of dough." "Yeah well he didn't mind accepting `my gift' in exchange for some Saturday night viewing in front of the Tv." It didn't take a rocket science to figure it out, Ron Nussbaum saying, "You. You have the tape? You bought it from him?" Almost in his face, Riley being two inches taller replied, "Yeah and it could very well be in your employer's hands, `Aaron'." A short silence was followed by a long interval of thinking on Ron's part as he turned, paced over to the stall and back. "So, what do you want me to do?" Riley had it all figured out like a blueprint in his mind. Included was a way to really screw with Aaron's brain. "Easy enough. You go to Judge Cromwell, tell him you've come up with a solution which will make both brothers happy and out of the kindess of your heart, which I doubt you have one which is not diseased, you'll strongly suggest Davide Davalos be place in temporary custody of `me'!" So filled with hatred, Ron replies, "Over `my' dead body!" Accomodating him, Riley formed a fist, hauled his elbow back and rammed it into Ron's gut. "Ummmmmphfffff!" Ron belted out, immediately bending over, knees buckling and his whole bod caving in to the floor. "Don't worry. I have the name of your supervisor the address of Social and Family Services. And oh, in case you're wondering, I've edited out mine and the other guys' activities." "Bastard!" Ron said, holding his stomach, looking up at Riley. "Got a nice shot of your boy with red welts crisscrossing his back... and guess who's holding the flogger?" % "I've got to get to work, but you can hang here as long as you want, Matt." "Nah. Thanks Thomas, but I've got to get down to the gym. Um, which job is it you're off to?" "Birdy's cafe. I mean restaurant. Y'know he's made me manager?" Thomas replied, the thirty-four year old dabbing his pit with deoderant before pulling a white crew over his head. "So you said." "I did? When?" Recalling the facts, not necessarily in order except the first two items, Matt tells him, "After we had sex and rested awhile. You don't remember us lying together in the bed, you rambling on about how good it felt to have me near you?" "I think," he wasn't sure. "Well you were really going at it when you fucked me, so I don't blame you if you tired yourself out." Handling the collar of the white shirt, Thomas smiled saying, "So, you enjoyed this old man's cock up your college jock ass?" Slowly Matt has been edging towards Thomas, so it was convenient to show rather than spell it out verbally, his hands sliding in between Thomas' arms and sides, feeling up the fresh white tee shirt, two nips helping to stretch it over Thomas' pecs. His lips making love to Thomas' lips showed how much he enjoyed last night. "So you were okay with it?" Thomas said facetiously. "Hurt a little when you stuffed it inside me." "I didn't just `stuff' it inside you and you know it!" Matt then toned it down, "Yeah. Was nice how you gently did it. Want to do it again sometime?" By now the two stood there, arms hugging each other, chests slightly parted, Thomas' fabric-covered to Matt's natural skin, smooth to the touch as was his shoulder blades. "I have to work late tonight but it sure would be nice to come home to a warm mouth!" "Is that all I'm good for?" Matt responded. "Nah. You're a real cutie too!" % All through the morning Max withstood all he could endure, hearing the younger boys singing to `Camptown Races', "Wednesday is the last day of school, doo-dah doo-dah... Wednesday is the last day of school... oh doo-dah dey!" "Somebody's awfully chipper?" Barry asked. Max just rolled his eyes, saying, "The music teacher only taught them one song it looks like!" When Berk happened through, Barry diverted his attention saying, "Your presence is surely going to be missed around here, Berk." "Where's he going?" Mark asks. The proud partner, Max fills them in, "Berk is the new manager of Barberio's Landscaping!" "Cool!" Mark says. "Congratulations!" Then to the point, "Got any openings for two high school graduates?" Meaning himself and Jose. "At least for Mark," Jose says. "Never mind," Mark then utters. In the dark over the sudden rash decision, Berk asks, "I'm sure there will be openings once business picks up." Barry tells Berk, "I think what Mark is trying to say is he's going to wait til Jose turns eighteen and then maybe they'll approach you again." He also tosses in, "Besides, with you out of the picture around here `somebody' needs to attend to the grass, the pool and other things needing to be done." Aidan speaks up, "Phil and me can help out." "I think I can mow straight rows like Berk," Philip intercedes for himself and his brother. After telling the boys their age prohibits them from touching live machinery, he tells them, "But while you're hanging around the pool it wouldn't hurt to help out Mark?" "How about me?" Jose asks. "I can help out too." For now Barry agreed but on his mind he pondered the situation with Jose staying a few nights which was turning into two months now. It's not that he didn't enjoy having Jose around... he gave up his thoughts for now wondering why Steve hadn't come down yet. Climbing the three steps to their room, set off to the side of the modernistic home, he opened the door to find him lying faced down on the bed. "Steve?" % He didn't expect this much of a greeting, but standing there Tony didn't refuse the hug Denis was applying for the past five minutes. "I missed you too," Tony told him. "I miss everybody," Denis told him. Tony chocked it up to Denis going through a lot, especially not having seen his dads or brothers for a week. He had hoped part of the warmth he felt was meant for him. "The guys on the team say `hi'." Breaking their hold, Denis asks, "Do you think Coach will hold a space for me when I get back to school in the fall?" "Of course he'll hold a spot for one of our most valuable swimmers!" "Of all the guys in my life you know you're the only one who bothered to come see me all the time in the hospital? Do you like me or something Tony?" "I think you're a cute guy Denis. Sure I like you. I wouldn't keep coming around if I didn't." Even though Tony held the reins on Dr. Singh, he agreed to not keep Denis incarcerated in his office for longer than an hour's visit. "Are you going to come see me again or is this a one-shot deal?" "I'd like to see you again," Tony said honestly. "Really?" Denis replied in a highly energetic tone. "Sure. They feed you good here? Maybe I could smuggle in a pizza?" "The food's okay. Truth is I haven't been eating much," Denis said, pulling up his shirt and showing Tony his ribs, the darker than blond treasure trail from his deep innie to the beltline of his sweatpants. Kidding him, Tony says, "You look good enough to eat!" It gave Denis the opportunity to say, "I felt nervy in asking, but now that you mentioned it Tony, do you think I could suck you off?" "Suck me off, huh?" Tony thought. "I don't know about that." Sitting in Dr. Singh's office, the two sat in the wooden chairs designated for patients. "Denis, I..." Tony's voice trailed off when the blond teen dropped to his knees, his hand on Tony's belt buckle. "Please?" Denis quizzed him again as he held the leather part in one hand, buckle in the other. Taking Denis' hands in his Tony relayed, "Why don't we leave it for a special moment. When... when we can be alone." "We are alone," Denis replied, looking only to the office door. "I mean alone alone.. like away from here." Then he started into a dreamlike manner, "When we're laying in bed together sometime... you know, all naked, hands all over each other?" Playing along, Denis seemed to agree, adding his own vision, "Me licking your chest, sucking on your nips, eventually my tongue licking up and down your hard shaft?" "Then again maybe we can make it a quick one?" Given the go ahead Denis made haste in umbuckling and unzipping Tony down to his naked crotch. % "You're back early." Standing there with the pitchfork in hand Juan looked a sight, stripped down to a skimpy pair of 2xist briefs. "And you look ravishing," Riley told him. "I've been working in the barn all morning. I'm as sweaty as hell and smell like horseshit!" Juan exclaimed. "I always thought you would look so sexy in briefs'n'boots!" Close to the touch, Juan reaches out with the hand not holding the pitchfork saying, "I must be doing something for you." The two smiled at each other, Riley sighing, "Feels good," he says of Juan massaging his balls, hand around fabric and hardened cock. "Much rather feel something else wrapped around it!" "Maybe someday," Juan replied, knowing they hadn't got to the point where he was ready to try the versatile thing. "Um, I've got to finish cleaning up here." Miserable at Juan firming him up, Riley is stuck self-masturbating. "Um, can you at least finish me off?" "Is that why you came home so early?" "Oh yeah. I'm home early. I've got something to tell you. We're going to have a kid..." "We're going to have a kid? You mean a goat? Aren't the horses enough?" "No, you idiot! A boy is going to come stay with us for awhile. His name is Davide." "Latino?" Juan questions. "French I think. Last name is Davalos." "Hmm... could be a little of both," Juan replies. After Juan explained to Riley the integration of cultures crossing from France to Spain, he in turn told of today's proceedings in court. Not trying to be unfaithful to the startup of their relationship he decided to leave out the `bribery' part. "So when is all this happening?" he asked Riley. "Could be this weekend." "This weekend? Yikes!" "Why? What's the matter?" Riley questioned him. "Think about it. Do you think this place is ready for a kid?" "What's wrong with it? It was good enough for you, Juan?" "The inside of our place is a disgrace!" "Disgrace? How come you didn't mention it before?" "Because before there wasn't a kid living there." "Oh," is all Riley could muster up. "So what are we going to do about it?" Throwing the pitchfork up into the air like a javelin, it landed perfectly in a pile of hay. Feeing his shirt into his arms, grabbing his pants, Juan says, "C'mon." "Where we going?" "You'll see. Um, you got your wallet?" Riley was already seated in the truck by the time Juan stepped into his jeans and buttoned up. "Um, you forgot one," Riley mentioned about the button fly. "I forgot more than one!" They sped out of the drive, kicking up dust, Riley fastening his seatbelt, cautioning Juan about putting any scratches on his 4x4. % "Sorry about the decision," Eric mentions to Alac outside the courthouse. "You did your best," the twenty-two year old artist replied to his attorney. "Nice of Officer Sanchez to offer to take Davide for as long as needed." "I'm going to miss him," Alac replied. "We haven't been apart since leaving Spain." Eric felt for Alac but wasn't sure how to handle the emotional aspect. "Are you still in the mood for having dinner with me tonight? Of course Davide is invited." "No. Thanks though Eric. You're being very sweet, but I think we better go back to the dorm and do some packing." "Nice enough of the college to allow Davide to spend the last few days there with you," Eric said. With more than a longing each could not detect, each others emotional attachment excelerated, brought on by their feelings. Standing in the middle of the courthouse parking lot, it was hardly the place for expression. "Well I better get going," Eric said even though his tasks of representation were over for the day. "Yes. I need to get Davide back to the dorm... start packing." "Well, goodbye then," Eric said, looking deeply into Alac's eyes while offering his hand. "Thank you for everything," Alac replied, taking the hand offered, but wanting to thank Eric more personally. "Let me know if you need anything," was Eric's last word. "I will," Alac told him. "Ready to go?" Dana Halvorsen called out when Alac reported to the passenger side of his dad's cleaners van. "All set back there?" Alac called to Davide. "How come I can't stay with you Alac? You can still sneak me in and out. Dana can help us, right Dana?" Alac and Dana exchanged glances. All the way back to the dorm Dana talked up the horses out at Officer Sanchez's farm. Little of it did Davide find enticing. % In seconds it seemed the ambulance showed up in front of the Clark-Barr home. "What's wrong with dad?" Philip asked. Aidan, questioned, "Is he going to be alright?" Barry, equally as emotionally charged simply put it, "Of course," then deviated to, "Max, see to it the kids get to school." He hustled into the back of the ambulance. Right away the phone began ringing off the hook. First it was Bernice with wonder of why it was their house in which the ambulance reported to. In a jiffy she raced through the backyard and admitted herself through the back door. Hearing it screech was only a prelude to "Hellooooooo!" Running to greet her Philip yelled, "Aunt Bernice, the ambulance took my dad to the hospital." Aidan soon entered, "Could you hear it all the way from your house?" Like when they were two years younger, she engulfed them in her arms with comfort, but even more so with their bonds of love being two years older. The screeching back door became over-used that morning, Alonzo and Callan getting wind of the ambulance siren whining as it zipped up Bridges Lane. "What happened to your dad?" Seth asked the two. "We dunno," both Aidan and Philip replied. "Dad on the bed and our other dad thought he was sleeping," was all Aidan knew. In a second the front door flew open, Chad entering. "Hello! Anybody home?" "We're in here!" Rang out from the kitchen, Max taking the helm to greet Chad. "What do you have on him?" Chad immediately asked. "We don't have much to go on other than Barry found your dad lying on the bed." "Was he unconscious?" Chad asked anxiously. "Sorry I can't tell you more," Max informed him. "I called Ethan. He's opening for me. I'm headed off to the hospital." Hearing Chad say it, Philip asks, "Can we come too?" "Us too?" Diego asks, standing right behind Philip. "The four of you are going to school!" Alonzo told them. The kids missed the part where Max and Alonzo discussed the free bus service, since Alonzo worked at the high school anyway. Most of the time he dropped Seth and Diego off at the elementary school. Both to help keep Chad in check and give Alonzo a break, Callan asks Chad for a lift to the hospital. Bernice brought up, "Did Barry call school and tell them what's happening?" Max replied, "He didn't say anything about it." Five seconds later Bernice was on the phone to her old friend, Agnes, also head of the high school secretarial pool. % "Times up," Dr. Singh said, poking his head in the door. "We've got two minutes, Dinesh. Do you mind?" Tony replied. He butt out, closing the door to his own office. "I had a good time. When are you going to come visit me again?" Denis asked, still licking his lips. "Denis, I...." "I mean when you come I don't have to give you a blow job everytime. Did you like it?" The two opposite each other, standing, Tony placed his hands on Denis' shoulders before he replied, "I liked it. You did a great job keeping me hard, but I don't want it to be..." Thinking he knew what Tony was getting at, Denis jumps the gun, "I know. A relationship is not just built on sex. We've got to get to know each other to make it work. Right?" Tony was going to leave it at being friends and seeing where it went, but he didn't want to disappoint so left it as, "I'd like to get to know you better Denis." "Cool!" His excitement then changed like summer to fall. "Whatsamatter Denis?" Sadly Denis asks, "You're not going to go pretending you love me and then skip out on me are you?" "I..." "You don't have any other guys who interest you, do you Tony?" He didn't want to tear down Denis' happiness yet be truthful, so he answered truthfully, "I'm not seeing any other guys at the moment." "Cool! So I'm the only guy in your life?" Ruffling Denis' hair, Tony smiled as he watched Denis' deeply blue eyes sparkle. "Yeah. You're the only guy." They ran over their two minutes, but no Dr. Singh to interrupt. Instead it was Tony opening the door. Walking to the waiting room, he said, "Denis is ready to go back to his cellblock!" "Ron will see you back to your unit," Dr. Singh told Denis. "I still need to speak with you Mr. Gagliardi. In my office?" "See ya next time, Tony," Denis said as he left with Ron. They both overheard Denis say to Ron, "Tony's my boyfriend." "So just what is your relationship with Denis?" Going from the simple to the extreme, he covered the panorama of relationships, "Are you friends, boyfriends, lovers or occasional sex partners?" Singh asked as he sat in his swivel chair. Tony sat on the narrow edge of the desk, turning slightly to Singh. "Friends," Tony put it. "I heard a lot of noise going on in here." "Oh really?" Tony questioned. "Are you in the habit of being a peeping Tom?" "Just watching out for my patients. I'd say you have quite a luring effect on Denis." Thinking he was digging a little two deep in the mine shaft of his personal business, Tony switched the polarity with, "Tell me Dinesh, are you in a relationship now or are you meeting guys for sex?" "I think that's my business Tony." Doing a little psychoanalysis of his own Tony ignored Dinesh and asks, "Tell me what kind of a man you enjoy being with. Possibly a bit on the submissive side?" "What gives you that impression?" Singh suddenly became alert. "Well for instance with Ron, your receptionist. I've noted you enjoy ordering him about. If I'm not mistaken, in laymen's terms you would be called a `control freak'?" Standing, banging his fist on the desk, Dinesh tells him rather brashly, "I am `not' a control freak. Any workplace needs order." "Hmm... and violent too?" Tony added to the list of personality traits. "I think we've had enough talk for today Mr. Gagliardi..." "Tony," he reminded Dinesh to call him. "I really need to go `Tony', if you don't mind?" "Not at all. Oh by the way, you're not in the closet are you?" "I don't go around broadcasting my sexuality if that's what you mean?" Singh replied. Helping himself, Tony stole a fancy pen off the desk and jotted a telephone number down across today's date on the square pad on Dinesh's desk, along with a name. As if ordering taking two Tylenols and calling him in the morning, Tony prescribes, "Give this guy a call. I think you two could find an interest in each other." "I'm not interested in guys or dating at the moment. I have my career to attend to thank you." At the door, Dr. Singh offered a handshake, but Tony purposefully slid his hands in between Singh's arms and ribs, hugged him, adding a kiss to the cheek. "C'mon Dinesh. Get with it," he said when letting go. "I can tell you're deprived. You don't even know how to greet a gay guy!" Tony noticed Dinesh didn't fight him, but made like he didn't show any interest. Still he didn't regret the hug. On his way out, Tony stopped at the receptionist's desk. Ron wasn't back yet. Just as he opened the door, Ron appeared. "Denis get back okay to his cell?" Smiling, Ron replied, "I think you have Pacific Northwest all wrong Tony... I mean Mr. Gagliardi." "Tony is okay, `Ron,'" Tony said with a smile. "I have a feeling we both have some common knowledge about each other." As Ron entered the door, Tony exited, their chest meeting. It was if they were lovers way back when, each taking up the effort to kiss the other fervently. Calming, Ron joked, "Tsk! Tsk! Cheating on Denis already?" "Don't ask, don't tell!" Tony replied. He added, "Denis and I are friends. I think you'll find my phone number on the papers I filled out?" "Hmm... maybe I'll give you a call. I happen to pass by town on the way to school." Before Tony left each had given accounts of their experience attending WRCC. % Copyright 2008 T.
