Both, sixteen year old Denis Clark and fourteen year old Tom Barr sat there, with the word 'annoyed' written across their faces. Denis stirred the peas around on his plate, as Tom twirled the spaghetti onto his fork, then lifted it to let it slither off. Barry reached over took his son Tom's hand, in his. "It's a sin to play with your food, son." Barry's words of advice struck a chord from way back in Tom's childhood. A few years back, Tom's dad had instructed them all on the sinful deed, as ten year old Philip played with his broccoli at the dinner table. "Sorry, dad," Tom reported grimly, but with a smirk. "Ahem! Ditto on the food playing, Denis?" Steve directed his son. Denis replied, "But dad, you never..." The look on Steve's face gave clear evidence that it would be wise for his son to deviate from the sassy course of action. "Yes, sir," came the reply from the sixteen year old, apologetic, but also negatively pouty. "So, what's eating at you guys?" Steve tries opening up the conversation to include both boys. "Nuthin'" Tom replies. "Well, looks to me like an awful lot o'somethin' of nuthin'," Barry approaches them, addressing them in the backwoods jargon, instead of the straight-laced back east talk. "I told you I was sorry, Tom," Denis concedes. "Yeah, but why did you tell me you'd meet me after school and then go and tell another guy that you wanted to be with him?" Tom badgered. "Look, it was a mistake, okay Tom?" The dads let the two take the iniative to hash it out before they had to intervene. "Well, you could've told me alone, instead of in front of me," Tom pouted on. "What do you want Tom," Denis began to get angry, throwing his fork down on his plate, sending some peas onto the floor, "me going behind your back?" "Easy... easy now guys," Barry reproached them, putting his plate on the coffee table. Steve did the same, only bent down to pick up the loose pease strewn about on the carpet. Barry took on the moderator's role and asked, "Denis, did you embarrass Tom in front of your friend?" Denis looked to his own dad, who reflected the look, 'well, did you?' He replied to Barry's interrogatory, "Um, maybe." Steve then helped out, "You mind telling us the whole story, so we can help you two guys come to terms here?" "He made a fool out of me right in front of Adam!" An outburst proceeded from Tom. "Now.. now, son," Barry took hold of his shoulder and confided in him, "let's give Denis a chance to tell his side of the story." The sixteen year old figeted about as if he had ants in his pants. To some it might resemble sitting on a stiffie and trying to move around to get the best benefits of the hot encounter. However, Denis wasn't getting any pleasure out of this part of the conversation. "Well, ya see um... today was really the first time Adam Pezzolo and I got to talking with each other. I mean, we talked, but not talked like buds talk. Y'know his mom was killed in that car crash on the hill?" Tom suddenly changed his mood and asked, "She was?" "Yeah," Denis replied, still in a solemn manner. "I felt sorry for him, in a way." Tom calmed down quite a bit, but still some comments from Denis had irked him the wrong way. "I didn't know that, Denis, but I don't think you had to call me your little brother. I'm not six years old y'know?" Tom addressed him. Barry continued to rub his son's back and asked, "So, did you introduce Adam to Tom?" "Yeah and I guess I did say little brother, but I didn't mean it like he was a baby or something," Denis explained. Steve, trying to add to patching up the mend in the broken pipe, says, "Tom, don't you think it's good that at least Denis referred to you as his 'brother', instead of just some classmate?" Tom's eyebrows went up like gaydar, even though Tom wasn't gay. Yet, his emotions began rehashing the conversation earlier at school and he sensed a different translation of the wording. "Yeah, you did say I was your brother, Denis. Do you really feel like I'm your brother?" "Sure I do. I mean we're all gonna live together, right, dad? I mean 'dads'?" "Yeah, that's right!" Steve says, cracking a smile, glancing quickly at his partner and then back to his son. "And real soon," Barry backs up his lover. "In fact the bulk of our worth is arriving tomorrow." "Oh great, dad," Tom says, with heightened emotion, "you mean I can have my own bike to ride, instead of Matty's?" "I thought you liked Matty's old bike, Tom?" "I do, but I like mine more. If anything happens to my bike then Matty's bike can be my standby." It seemed that things had been on the mend, however like a dad always does, before business matters are settled, it's made sure as taking care of business, things are resolved. "So, are we okay with all this business with Adam and Denis, Tom?" Barry asks. "Yeah, I guess." Tom then starts to roll out some feelings of enlightment for both dads to comprehend. "I mean," Tom rolled out, pointing to Denis and then an imaginary Adam, "Denis is gay. Aaaaand, since Adam is, plus they're the same ages, I know I don't fit in. Denis and I played around a little, but we don't match. I mean, I don't mind hanging around with gay guys or even having them as my brothers or..." Tom looks up at Steve, "a gay second dad." Rising from the sofa, Tom shoves his plate onto the coffee table. He approaches his dad's side. "And I'm not mad at you dad because you're gay. I love you the same," Tom says tenderly, putting his arms around his dad's neck and hugging cheek to cheek. In a gesture of total committment of loving effort, Barry grips Tom around the middle as he rises to a standing position. He gives Tom a total body hug, cherishing the special moment. "I love you dad and I love mom too." "I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Tom," Barry exhibited his totally unconditional love. Dennis weaseled his way out of his seat, storing his plate on the table and then in an opposite emotional response, placed his hand on his dad's shoulder and began rubbing it. "Nice couple, huh dad?" Denis kidded. Steve smiled, placing his arm around Denis' hip, as he sat there gazing up at the loving father and son embrace. % "You seen a looker today Diego?" "Yeah and he thinks I'm a looker, too!" Jade and Catherine sit there, taking in the conversation. Suddenly it pauses, as all four eyes stalk the two women. "Hey Jade, I'd say this is the time to make our exit!" Catherine says brashly. The 'Squirts' needed their time alone, so the two lovers picked up their plates and headed out onto the back porch. "Here, take my plate sweets." Catherine says to Jade, then grabbed the neck of a red wine bottle and two glasses. Philip kidded, "Hey guys, betcha Jade's not going to be serving us dessert!" "Yeah, like my dad says," Aidan tells them, "you want it, go for it!" "Your dad tells you that when you want something and he's having sex, Aidan?" "Sure Frankie. I wanted to tell my dad about my project I handed in before the fire at the high school and when I knocked on his door, he said 'go away'!" "Didn't it hurt your feelings, Aidan?" "Nope. My dad was with Philip's dad and I know they got busy doing sexual stuff," Aidan reported to them. Diego tells them, "My daddy waited until he saw my map, to kiss dad-Callan." "You saw your dad kiss dad-Callan, Diego?" "Yep. Remember when I carried his briefs in his case on my head when we came in the door?" "Yup. I remember, Diego." "I turned and saw my daddy grab dad-Callan's shirt, pull him to him and kiss him on the lips!" Philip asks, "Did they see you and stop?" "Nope. They keep doing it, until dad-Callan's hand goes down near my dad's zipper and then they stopped." Aidan, the oldest replies, "Hah!" "What, Aidan?" Frankie asks. "Dad-Callan probably went for your daddy's balls!" He informs them. Well, the laughter and giggles stretched all the way up the cathedral ceiling and reverberated downwards, like Santa tumbling down the chimney, laughing all the way! "My daddy's balls? How do you know Aidan?" "'Cause probably his cock was still soft. It's easy to scoop up a guy's balls with a hand." "I wonder how that feels?" Frankie asks. "Yeah," Philip seconds it. "I don't know," Aidan replies, being modest, however sorta knowing the score. Diego asks, "Anybody ever take your balls, Aidan?" "Nope," again on the modest effort. "If they did, I would punch them out!" Philip groans, "Even me?" "No, not you," Aidan assures Philip with a quick hand to shoulder action, smiling. "Why would you do that if it felt good, Aidan?" Diego asks. "Because my dad taught me that a guy's body is his own and ya gotta protect your body from other guys touching it." "Hey, but I touched your body, Aidan," Philip intercedes. "Yeah, but you and I know each other Philip. Besides, I let you do it." "Wow! You guys touched each other?" Diego asks, startling. "Sure," Philip replies, but also adds, "and you'n'Frankie touched each other." "We had our PJ's on, though," Frankie informs them, as if they did some low, dastard deed. "Oh yeah. I guess," Aidan says. Diego asks, "Did you guys do it with no clothes on?" Even though Philip and Aidan had been used to laying side by side without any clothes on, the ten and eleven year olds blushed at the thought, put to them by somebody else. Frankie and Diego, for whatever reasons whirled around in their young minds, began cackling. "What's so funny?" Aidan asks. "I don't know," Frankie says, Diego giving the same bubbling reaction. Philip breaks the comic relief with, "So, who's your looker, Diego?" "Oh yeah! My looker!" Suddenly, the whole focus shifts to Diego, as he talks about his encounter today, in school. "His name is Darryl-and he's the same age as me-nine-and he's got almost blonde hair-same as Philip's-and he's in the same class as me," Diego spilled out, with hardly a gasp for a breath of air. Aidan asks, "Did he say somethin' to you or did you say somethin' to him, Diego?" "Oh noooo. I wouldn't say anything to a guy!" "Why not?" Philip asks. "I dunno." "So," Frankie stirs the conversation back to the meeting place, "What did Darryl say to you to start this?" "He asked me if my dad was gay," Diego reveals. A moment of silence prevailed as the other three exchanged glances. "Your dad?" Aidan broke the ice. "Why would he ask if your dad is gay?" "Because he told me his brother says he's got him for a teacher and thinks my dad is gay." "So, what did you tell him, Diego?" Aidan, the oldest, dominates the conversation, as the other two follow. "I told him I couldn't tell him if my dad was gay because I have to ask my dad if it's alright to tell him!" "What a dufous!" Aidan says to Diego. "Huh?" Diego asks, "What makes ya say that, Aidan?" "Think about it. You told Darryl your father is gay, by saying you couldn't tell Darryl your father is gay without asking him if it's alright." Philip adds, "Yeah, Aidan's right, Diego. You said the same thing as saying your dad's gay." Suddenly Diego's whole outlook took a nosedive. Tears began to develop. His fork full of spaghetti dropped right on the table. "Ooooh nooo.. my daddy is gonna be sooooo mad at me!" Frankie advises, "He wouldn't be if you don't tell him, Diego. I wouldn't tell him. None of us have to tell them, do we guys?" Philip and Aidan looked at each other. "I don't know, Frankie. My dad says I should always come to him when I need to say something," Philip lays on him. Aidan agrees, "Yeah, especially if it's something about him, then I 'gotta' tell him." "Not me," Frankie says, "I couldn't tell nothin' to my father. Man, I'd get a beating like you wouldn't believe!" The jovial conversation had turned over to a serious matter of telling the truth vs. facing corporal punishment. However, two sides of the coin existed; family life that thrived on love and understanding versus a life living with a dictator, more or less dwelling on punishment would be in store as a tradeoff for telling the truth. "Yeah, one time Bill told my dad that he accidentally scraped the side of the car with his bike and my dad punished him real bad." Philip, Aidan and Diego sat there, momentarily stunned by the brutal conversation. "My dad pushed Bill right over the kitchen table, even though Bill told him he was sorry a million times. He undid his belt buckle, pulled it from his pants, folded it in half and then started whipping Bill across the back with it." As if watching a horror movie in the theater, the three boys' attention intently followed Frankie's horrifying description of Bill's punishment. "I watched from my bedroom door as my father hit Bill with his belt. Everytime it hit his back, Bill screamed out. He told my father to stop, but he kept on whipping him with his belt, until Bill didn't scream no more." "Why didn't Bill stop him?" Aidan asks. "My dad was a big, tall guy. It's not easy to stop a guy that can take over ya. Bill and I weren't 'hefty' guys." Diego, crinkling his nose, asks, "Did Bill hurt a lot after he got wipt?" "That one time, yeah. My father had been drinking and I he lost his temper. Bill breathed, but didn't move much and his tee shirt had blood on it." "Did you call the cops?" Aidan inquired. "Nooooo way. If Billy or me did that, he would tan both our hides and worser than he did Billy just then!" "But if you called the cops, wouldn't they put him in prison?" Philip asked. "I don't think so. One of the cops is my father's friend. When he was drinking with my father one time, he saw Bill's back and asked my father if he beat us. I heard the cop tell him that it's the only way to raise kids. So, the police wouldn't do anything if we told them." "All police aren't like that, Frankie," Aidan explains. "My dad knows this cop and he's a nice guy. I betcha he wouldn't think that whipping a kid is right." Suddenly they were interrupted. "How's it going in here? Where's sis?" Callan asks, pertaining to his twin, Catherine. "She and Jade are out on the porch," Philip relays. "Yeah, we started talking guy talk and they took the hint!" Aidan says, lightheartedly. The dads giggle. "Diego, son. Have you been crying?" Alonzo asks, sitting down on the bench next to him. "Um..." Diego looks down at his lap, fiddling with his fingers. One of Alonzo's hands begins rubbing his son's back. A technique that he always used when Diego became troubled. His other hand lifted the nine year old's chin. "What's wrong son?" Callan stood there, leaning on the sink edge, taking in the whole group. He watched and waited, but at the same time, loved the feeling of being part of a family. Strange, not like he pictured the family of the future, in his younger days, but still having that deep down feeling of belonging and being a part of a loving unit. "Daddy, I said something bad." "What could you possibly say that would be so bad that you can't tell your daddy?" Alonzo provoked in a loving manner, kissing Diego's forehead. Frankie burst out with, "Don't tell me I didn't warn you, Diego!" "Warn me, Frankie?" Alonzo looked across the table at the ten year old. Callan sensed the situation unraveling and how nervous Frankie seemed to get. He walked across the room and stood behind the lad, placing his hands on his shoulders. "How did your dad handle something when you did something wrong, Frankie?" Callan asked point blank. Frankie sat there, wincing, as if the belt had been doing it's deed, punishing him right at this second. Aidan reports, drawing on Bill's experience relayed to them, "His father beat him with his belt until his back was bloody!" "Ooooh noo.." Callan bent down and looked into Frankie's face, "is that what happened, Frankie?" The floodgates released and tears began streaming down Frankie's cheeks. At the same moment, Diego's confession sprung forth from his lips, as Callan hugged Frankie. "Daddy, I didn't mean to tell Darryl you were gay. It's an accident!" He reported, also crying his eyes out. At this moment, Alonzo didn't give a damn what his son said about him. Almost passionately he scooped his son up and hugged him with all his heart and soul. Coincidentally, Steve and Barry appeared, carrying their glasses and plates. Philip, followed by Aidan, jumped from their seats and hugged their dads around the waists. "What's all this about?" Steve asks, surprised. Barry, like Steve, lifts his plate and glass up high, to avoid the human collision. % "I think we've outdone ourselves." "You better believe it." Chad'n'Matty slowly turned out of their faced down position on the bed. Facing each other, they recapitulated their experiences of a moment ago. "I can't believe how sore my ass is." "Well, Chad, what do you expect when you got me going the way you did. Would you rather have had me fucked the mattress?" "Did it feel good?" "Hell no. Your ass was ten times hotter, schoolboy!" The two chatted back and forth until Chad's hand came up wet. "You better hit the books while I change the sheets." "Yeah, um sorry, but I couldn't keep that second blast in check," came a devious reply from Chad's lips, rather than totally sincere. "Hey, Chad. You do what you gotta do." "How could I keep from shooting a second load with your shaft giving me a sweet massage?" As Chad stood, Matty turned over doggie style and began undressing the bed. Looking at that upturned ass, Chad kept thinking about it as he held on to his shrunk meat. He smiled, but didn't have the built up reserves or means to have another go at it. Yet, he did have some built up passion left. "Heeeeey!" Rung out from Matty, as Chad bowled him over on the bed. Matty didn't stand a chance of resistance, as Chad's encompassing arms scooped him up in an embrace. Their lips met. His staying position didn't last long. "That's it?" "I've gotta hit the books. To be continued," Chad said with a smile. Matty smiled back and then went about the chore of removing the cumladen bottom sheet from the corners of their love nest. % The Squirts weren't too far from the truth when they figured out that Jade wouldn't be serving the desert. So, the dads banded together to carry out the deed, as well as doing the dishes, putting away leftovers and tidying up the kitchen. "So, is there a connection between the Arrow kid that asked if you were gay, babe and Diego's looker, whom happens to be an Arrow?" "They're brothers. Brothers confide in each other. Who knows what kind of chat went on between the two," Alonzo relays to Callan. Barry says, "As Steve said earlier, I'd have a stratedgy planned, Alonzo." "Oh, I am. I'm going to say, 'have any gay questions, see him'." Barry and Alonzo laugh as he points to Steve. "Hey wait a minute there. What am I, the head 'faggot' advisor?" Steve saids, half-kiddingly. "Oh c'mon Steve." "I know, Barry, but I don't want to get bogged down by guys coming to me between classes at all hours of the day and wanting free gay advise." "Steve, I'm surprised at you!" "What Alonzo?" "Charging these gay-inquisitive guys for advice, Steve... tsk! Tsk!" "I didn't mean that, Alonzo. I think education on any subject is important, but there should be some type of 'talk' group or something and not during classtime." Barry jokes, "Must've been some school that Floyd, to have you come up with such brilliant ideas, babe." "Um, what did I come up with? Want to clue me in?" Even Callan, who's not a teacher at the school, sees the implications. "I think they're talking about the gay after school group you're thinking about, Steve." "Gay after school group?" Steve questions. A few nodes of silence prevail before Steve reinforces his statement. "Oh yeah, an after school group. Yeah, well, if during class time is inappropriate, then that only leads to an after school group." "I knew you'd figure it out, Steve." Steve answered his own questions with rapidfire results. "Yeah, but I think there should be another one or two other gay advisors there, also," Steve suggests. Alonzo, into the thumb pointing, thumbs towards Callan, "Why not talk to this guy?" "Me?" Callan says, his hands gesturing towards his own chest. "I'm not on the staff at the high school." Steve's brain begins to work overtime. "Yeah, great idea Alonzo. Callan can advise the guys on medical matters, like using condoms and stuff. Hey and maybe I can get Dr. Roberts or Jacq della Croix involved." Barry suggests, "And why not the pastor from the church..." "Pastor Greg?" Steve asks, wondering why. "Sure," Alonzo kicks in. "Pastor Greg and that new kid that started." "What new kid?" Callan asks. "Um, Terrence Brahms or something like that." "Beethoven," Barry says. "But at least you had one of the 3 B's correct." "Three B's, Barry?" "Steve, don't you know anything about music?" "Sure. I know that together you and I make sweet music!" "Oh booooy... now you've got him going, Barry!" Callan's statement turned Steve into a dancing machine, as he did a quick two step with the dish towel behind his butt. They howled at the interpetation, then settled back down into the serious mode. "It's going to take a lot of thought about all of this gay gathering." Alonzo states, "But you're into doing it Steve, aren't you?" "Yeah. I guess. After all, if I took an interest over the years to adopt my own boys, whom were turned away from their families because of their sexual identity, I think I can feel for these other boys with questions. But don't go sending every Tom, Dick and Harry my way just yet," Steve seriously responded. Barry snickered, "They better not send any 'Dick' your way!" "Oh, not worry 'bout that, Barry. I think Callan and I know that Steve is now a one-dick man." At that response, Callan chummed up with his lover, caressing Alonzo around the waist. "I guess that means no fourway," Steve interjects, waiting for a reply from either of the other three, his right hand rubbing his thigh, in very close contact to 'you-know-what'. Callan replies, "As far as I'm concerned, I'm contented with the man I got." He kissed his mate. "I don't know where Steve gets these wild ideas of his," Barry throws off the guilt. "Meeeeeee?" Steve says, laughs. Then he switches, hugs his lover, letting it the blame fall on himself. "However," Callan goes on to say, "if by chance we all get wasted on some fuzzy navels some night I don't think any of us should hold either of the others accountable for any of our actions." They all laugh off the notion, then collectively empty the dishwasher. % "Did I say I was sorry enough, Tom?" A smile breaks the cloudy face on Tom, as a hand goes to Denis' shoulder. "Yeah. What the heck. Like our dads say, we're brothers." "So, you're not going to be mad at me or Adam?" "No," Tom spoke with confidence, even though the reassuring pat on the back dropped. "Um, another thing, Tom?" "Go ahead, Denis." "I know you said that you didn't think you got turned on by me sucking your cock, but was that because it's me or did you mean that any guy giving you a blowjob doesn't move ya?" It didn't take much figuring for Tom. His mind had been made up after that night of experimentation. "Any guy, I suppose. I mean, don't get me wrong, it felt real good to have lips suck my cock, but I'm not so set on it being a guy doing it... I think." Then again, maybe some doubt still lurked in Tom's thinking, afterall. That's the interpetation Denis sensed. "Yeah. Okay," Denis left it at, for now. "So, are you and Adam going to um...." Tom evaded the total thought. "Have sex? That what you driving at, Tom?" "I guess." For a sixteen year old gay guy, chatting with a straight, nonversed fourteen year old, Denis tread lightly on the subject of gay relationships. "We'll take it as it comes. Maybe it might turn out that we're friends and that's that." "But don't all gay guys have sex?" "Not according to my dad. A lot of people think that because guys are gay that they have sex with each other. My dad told us boys a long time ago that that's not what it's about. Sure, it feels good. Like when I sucked your cock, Tom. Didn't that feel good?" "Yeah," Tom conceded. "But we didn't do it because we loved each other, right?" "Suppose not." "We did it because it was a thing to do. My dad says that when you get with another gay guy that it should be where you learn to fall in love with the guy. Then you go and have sex with him." The conversation turned to an 'in general' twist. "I understand," Tom's wording turned more analytical. "You do? I mean you do," Denis followed along. "Sure. My mom and dad fell in love and they tried to make kids, but my dad couldn't." "But do you know if they had sex before they got married?" "I don't think so, Denis. I don't rightly know," Tom showed a matter of question on his face. "Doesn't really matter. I mean, the way it's going to be with me is the way my dad taught me. I love my dad and want to do what's right. I know he loves me and wouldn't steer me wrong," Denis laid on Tom, like telling an all out confession. "Makes sense. Same here," Tom agreed. "Tom?" "What?" Denis replied, more as fact than question, "You know we can still hug, like brothers and not be gay." "I know," Tom accepted. Like hopscotch, Denis shimmied his ass over the sofa cushion towards Tom. He engulfed the fourteen year old brother in both arms. Tom slowly carried out the same action and they hugged chest to chest. "I'm going to like having you as a brother, Denis." % Good time for a fuzzy navel....continued......... Copyright 2005 T.
