Chapter
18 – The Next Level.
I held my breath as I waited to hear what Dr. Arpante’s PA had to say. “He told me to let you know that all of the tests came back negative.”
“Really? That’s great news and thank you for calling to let me know this.”
As soon as I got off the phone, I went upstairs to share the news with the boys. I asked to speak with them after they got to a point where they could stop what they were doing, and then I had them meet in Dakota’s room when they were done.
“What’s up, Dad?” Dakota asked once we were all together.
“I just got a call from the doctor’s office about the test results for Glen, Laine, and Jamie. I’m happy to tell you that the tests all came back negative, so somehow you managed to avoid picking up any sexually transmitted diseases, although I’m not sure how that was possible.”

I wasn’t too worried until we got to the stream, and as soon as I crossed it I slowed slightly and glanced back to see how the other two were doing. “I’m sure they loved you.”
