Chapter 61 – A bit of a Surprise.

When I woke up on Saturday, I tried to get out of bed without waking Jamie, but I wasn’t successful.  I told him he could stay in bed and sleep a little longer, but he didn’t want to do that, so we both slipped on some clothes and headed downstairs so I could prepare breakfast.  Since no one else came down right away, I decided we should eat and began fixing our breakfast first.  I’m not sure if it was the smell of the food that attracted the others, but they started coming downstairs just as we were finishing our meal. 

After I fed the rest of the troops, they immediately began pressing me on what was in the boxes.  “Curiosity killed the cat,” I joked. 

“Yeah, we know, but we just wanna see what’s in there,” Glen replied. 

“Yes, you’ve always been a nosy group,” I teased.  “Ok, let’s clean up this mess first and then I’ll start opening the boxes so I can show you what’s in them.” 

I wasn’t sure which boxes contained which items and could only guess due to the weight of the box, but I had a good idea what was in the heaviest box, so I left that one for last.  The first box I opened had some of the games I’d ordered and there were two each of the following games: Monopoly, Scrabble, Clue, and Ticket to Ride.  In the next box were two copies of The Game of Life and Rack-O, along with a Trivial Pursuit: Family Edition, another UNO deck, and an UNO Dare!  I felt our current UNO deck was showing signs of wear and needed to be replaced, and the UNO Dare! looked interesting, so I added those items as well. 

“Man, I didn’t know you ordered so many games,” Dakota stated amazed. 

“I felt we would need them eventually, so you boys wouldn’t get tired of playing the same games all the time.”

“Yeah, we keep changin’ what video games we’re playing too,” Reece confirmed. 

The next box contained the sporting goods.  There was a football, a soccer ball, two basketballs, and a pair of plastic goals they could use when playing soccer.  I knew they were about to ask a question, so I held up my hand to stop them, and then I began to open the final box.  It was the one that contained the portable basketball hoop. 

“Ahhh, I was wonderin’ why you got the basketballs if we didn’t have a basket to shoot at,” Dakota stated.

“That’s why I held up my hand.” 

“And the other stuff is to use on the new area, isn’t it?” Glen followed. 

“What new area?” Brady asked. 

“Dad is havin’ a wall built and is fillin’ in behind it with dirt to give us a flat area to play on.  That’s why he got the soccer ball, goals, and the football.” 

“I guess you’ll have to show me what you’re talkin’ about.” 

“Yes, it was too dark for you to notice it when we arrived here last night, so I’ll show it to you later, but that can wait until we’re ready to go outside,” I confirmed. 

“So what are we gonna do now?” Jamie asked. 

“I thought I would give Reece and Brady a lesson on driving across the slope on the lawn to get them ready for driving across the fields.” 

“And then are you gonna let us do that too?” Reece pressed. 

“Not yet, because you’ll need a little more practice before I’m ready to let you try it.” 

“Yeah, he did the same thing to us too,” Dakota added to let Reece know he wasn’t being treated differently. 

“K, I guess I understand.”

“So do you want us to go change?” Brady followed. 

“Yes, you and Reece might as well, and then the rest of you can do the same thing in about forty minutes.  OK?” 

They all agreed, so I went up to change with the first pair, and then I hurried downstairs to fill the tanks with gasoline before they showed up.  I was just about finished when they walked out onto the cement pad, so I told them to go into the garage to get their safety gear and put it on.  I’d numbered the new helmets for them so they would each know which items they had used before, and they went inside to get ready.  When they came out again, Reece asked a question. 

“So exactly what are we gonna do today?” 

“I’m going to have you drive back and forth across the lawn so you get used to driving on a slope.  You’ll have to make sure you’ve got a good grip on the handlebars when you do this to prevent the four-wheelers from veering down the slope.  If that happens it will not only take you off course, but it could also cause you to flip over and crash if you try to get it back on course too quickly, so be very careful.” 

“So how are we gonna do this?” Reece asked.

“You’re going to drive halfway down the driveway and then turn left so you’ll be able to drive across the yard.  Just before you reach the tree line on the other end, I want you to slow down and do a hundred-and-eighty-degree turn so you can head back in this direction.  Make sure you slow down when you make the turn or you’re liable to tip over, and then drive back here and we’ll talk about how you did.  You’ll do this one at a time.” 

“K,” they both agreed. 

“Reece, I want you to go first,” and then I watched as he took off. 

I thought he was going a little too fast as he reached the point where he was going to make the 90 degree turn onto the lawn, and I was correct.  The ATV went up on two wheels momentarily, but then he leaned in the opposite direction so the vehicle came back down on all four tires again. 

“I hope you watched and learned from that,” I told Brady as I kept an eye on Reece. 

Reece did better after that and leaned slightly uphill as he went across the lawn, and then he did quite well when he made the U-turn at the other end.  When he returned, I had him turn off the engine and then I critiqued what he’d done, both good and bad. 

“Yeah, I know I messed up on that first turn,” he said after I finished speaking.  “I guess goin’ downhill made me forget how fast I was goin’.” 

“That’s a mistake you can’t afford to make.” 

“Yeah, and I won’t do it again.” 

“Ok, Brady, it’s your turn to give it a try now.”

He not only learned from Reece’s mistake, but he overcorrected.  He nearly came to a stop when he slowed down to make the turn, but then he picked up speed again as he made his way across the lawn.  He also leaned slightly uphill as he drove to the other end, and once again he slowed down more than necessary as he made the U-turn to return.  When he reached me after crossing the lawn, I also critiqued his performance. 

“I’m not sure you had to slow down quite that much on either turn, unless it’s what you feel comfortable doing.” 

“I think I can go a little faster next time, but I didn’t want to make the same mistake as Reece.” 

“Ok, you both did fairly well, so let’s try it again.” 

I sent each one off on a second run, and they both did better this time.  When they finished doing this, I decided to have them try it one more time, and while they were making those runs the other boys came outside. 

“They’re still practicin’?” Glen asked when he saw Brady starting out again. 

“Yes, I’m making them go a third time,” I replied. 

“Did they do that bad?” Dakota followed. 

“No, I just wanted to make sure they felt comfortable doing this.” 

As that pair was making their final run, I told the other boys to put on their safety gear and then I made sure Reece and Brady shut off the engines before I spoke to them one final time. 

“You both did much better this time, so now we’re ready to go out as a group.  I’ll let you drive out to the stream, but I want you to change drivers to cross over the stream, and when we’re all on the other side you can switch back until we reach the fields.” 

“So you aren’t gonna let us try crossin’ the stream this time?” Reece asked in a dejected tone.

“Not yet.  Maybe next time, but that requires a different safety lecture first.” 

I then checked the oil level on all of the ATVs, and we took them over to the storage tank to fill up with gas.  When we were finally ready, we started off on our ride and we only stopped when we changed to cross the stream and after we were on the other side, and then we took off again.  Both boys were doing quite well as we drove along, and when we got to the top of the field we changed drivers one final time. 

The boys followed me as I led them partway down the field and then we turned to cross it.  We angled for the break in the tree line so we could cross the next field as well, and we did the same with the final field.  When we reached the house, we pulled up in front of the garage, shut off the engines, and hopped off the ATVs.  Without saying a word, the boys immediately began to strip and before long they were all totally naked and shaking out the clothes they’d just been wearing. 

“Reece and Brady leave your clothes on the washing machine again and then all of you can head upstairs to hit the shower.” 

“Can we use your shower again?” Glen asked, beating Dakota to the punch this time. 

“Yes, you and Brady can go first, and then Dakota and Reece.” 

We then went inside and made our way to the laundry room, and then we headed upstairs to shower.  Since Reece had already seen me naked, I took off my underwear when I got to the bedroom, and we waited for Glen and Brady to finish up.  When they came out a few minutes later, they stopped so Reece and Dakota could go in next, and Brady’s mouth dropped open when he finally saw me naked.  As soon as I realized my error, I hoped I hadn’t shocked him. 

“I didn’t know you got undressed with us too,” he said amazed. 

“Yes, I do this sometimes, so I hope it doesn’t bother you?”

“Nah, I was just surprised, but I’m glad you’re doin’ it.  I felt a little strange standin’ around with nothin’ on at first, ‘specially when you weren’t doin’ it too, but now I feel better about it.” 

“Why’s that?”

“Cuz now I’ve seen all of you naked too, so I don’t feel so weird about doin’ the same thing.” 

“I’m glad to hear that, because my three would be naked all of the time if I let them.” 

“I guess I’d be willin’ to do that too,” Brady confessed.  “I just didn’t want to do it at first cuz my mom said I shouldn’t do things like this and I should keep my body private.  My dad said not to worry about bein’ naked in front of other guys, cuz all guys do it at different times, like when they go campin’ or if they’re takin’ a group shower.” 

“So you told your parents about what we do here?” 

“Nah, he told me this before I came here the first time.  I’d never tell them this is what we do here, but I think my dad knows already and he’s ok with it.  He said he used to take group showers at school and would go skinny dipping in the creek with his friends sometimes, but our school doesn’t make us take group showers.” 

“No, they’ve stopped doing that even for the sports teams.”

“I guess we could prob’ly go skinny dipping in the pond.” 

“I’m not sure that would be a good idea, because it’s so close to the road that people could see you when they drive by.” 

“I haven’t seen very many cars on the road and we could just jump in the water if we heard one comin’.” 

“Yes, if you heard the car in time.”

“I prob’ly wouldn’t have been willin’ to do any of these things before, but I would now.  It’s kinda nice seeing that I’m not any different than the rest of you.  I guess I was kinda worried about that before.” 

“You definitely don’t have anything to worry about,” I told him as I visually scanned his body again.

“So does this mean you like my dick?”  He was very blunt about this. 

“Yes, you’re a good looking guy and you’re probably hung a little better than most boys your age.” 

“You really think so?” 

“You’ve seen the other boys, so you must realize you’re penis is a little longer than Glen or Dakota’s, and they’re your age too.” 

“Yeah, and they’re not ashamed of anyone else seein’ them naked.” 

“No and neither should you.” 

“Thanks, that makes me feel better.” 

“You’re welcome, but I’d suggest you don’t mention this at home or what you and Glen are doing in his room at night.”  

He blushed.  “You know about that too?”

“I pretty much know about everything that goes on in this house.” 

“And you’re not mad?” 

“No, boys fool around when they’re your age, so it’s not unusual.” 

“Thanks, I didn’t know that either and I’m glad you’re not mad.” 

About this time Dakota and Reece came out of the bathroom and they stopped dead in their tracks.  “You guys are still here?” Dakota asked.  “How come you didn’t go get dressed?” 

“Cuz we was talkin’,” Glen replied, even though he hadn’t said a word. 

“Oh, ok,” and then he and Reece came over to chat as well. 

I did that for a few more minutes before I spoke.  “I have to shower if you guys want to have lunch, so please excuse me.” 

As I headed to the bathroom, Jamie was right behind me, and that’s when Reece asked a question.  “Is he gonna shower with you?” 

“Yeah, we all shower with Dad sometimes,” Dakota explained, “and then the other two usually shower together after we’re done, just like we shower with you.” 

“Then I wanna shower with your dad sometime,” Reece stated. 

“Yeah, and I wouldn’t mind doin’ that either,” Brady followed. 

“I let these guys shower with me because they’re my sons, but I don’t think your parents would approve of you doing it with me.” 

“We do it with Kota and Glen,” Reece protested. 

“That’s different, because you’re the same age.” 

“So, I still want to do it with you,” Reece pressed. 

“I’m sure your dad would cause a ruckus if he found out you did that.” 

“So, I won’t tell him.” 

“And I don’t think my dad would mind,” Brady followed. 

“Maybe not, but your mother certainly would.  And if either of your parents found out, not only would they stop letting you come here, but they’d probably get me fired from my job and maybe even have me arrested.”

“We won’t let that happen,” Brady responded. 

“And I won’t either,” I concurred, “and that’s why I can’t let you two shower with me.” 

Jamie and I then went in to wash up, and when we came out we got dressed quickly and I went downstairs to fix lunch.  When it was ready I called the boys down to eat, and during the meal they asked what we were going to do next. 

“That’s up to you?” 

“Can you put up the basketball hoop?” Dakota asked. 

“Yes, I can do that for you.” 

“And can you also show us that wall thing they was talkin’ about earlier?” Reece followed. 

“Yes, I can do that as well.” 

After we finished our meal, I had Glen help me carry the portable hoop outside, and then I quickly set it up.  I then went into the garage and grabbed some heavy objects to set on the base to keep it from tipping over, because I didn’t have time to fill the base with either sand or water.  I also made sure the rim was at the ten-foot (3 m) setting, which is the normal height for a basketball hoop, and once that was taken care of the boys grabbed the two basketballs and began taking shots. 

After I watched them doing that for a couple of minutes, I made an announcement.  “Reece and Brady, if you want me to show you the wall and what we’re doing there, then come with me now.  It won’t take very long to do it.”

They quickly came over and followed me there, and I showed them the wall first, before we walked up the slope so they could look inside. 

“The wall looks really nice,” Brady said after inspecting it. 

“Thank you and I agree,” I replied. 

“And it’s nearly all filled in behind it already,” Reece said as we walked up the slope. 

“Yes, but we’ve got to give it time to settle now, and then we’ll probably have to add a little more dirt to it before I put the top soil over it and plant the grass.”

“And it will be great for playing soccer and football on it,” Brady added. 

“I hope so, because that’s why I had this done.” 

Once they’d seen this area, they went back to rejoin the other boys to shoot hoops while I headed inside.  After doing some laundry first, I started working on dinner, and when it was ready I called the boys inside to eat.  While we were chowing down, Jamie asked a question. 

“What are we gonna do next?” 

“I don’t know.  We have plenty of games you can play, or you can do something else if you want.”   

“Yeah, let’s play a game, but we don’t know them very well,” Glen replied.  “We only know what you told us about them, so you’ll hafta pick one for us.” 

“Ok, I can do that, so how about Ticket to Ride?  It’s for two to five players, so you boys can all play and I’ll referee, since you aren’t familiar with the rules.” 

“Ok, let’s do that then,” they agreed. 

After I set up the game, I read the rules to them first, but that didn’t mean they were all ready to get started. 

“I’m still not sure I understand how to play,” Jamie whined. 

“That’s ok and I’ll explain your options to you as we go along.  You’ll pick it up quickly and will do fine.” 

He relented and they began to play.  One of the reasons I selected this game is that they would also gain a subtle geography lesson about the U.S. and Canada at the same time, since it’s played on a board with a map.  Even though they started off slowly, they began to get the hang of it quickly and before long they were doing fairly well.  It took quite a while for the first game to end and Brady was declared the winner. 

“Let’s play it again,” Glen urged. 

“Yeah, I want to play it again too, cuz I know how to play it now,” Jamie agreed. 

Since they all wanted to give it another try, I let them go at it again, and this time Glen won.  “That was pretty fun,” he said when the game ended. 

“And next time I’m gonna beat you,” Dakota countered. 

“No you won’t, cuz next time I’m gonna beat all of you,” Reece chimed in. 

It seemed as if the game had stirred up their competitive juices, so now I asked what they wanted to do next. 

“Uhhh, the games are fun,” Brady began, “but the movie Child’s Play is gonna be on TV.  I know cuz I was hopin’ to watch it at home if I couldn’t come here.  I was pretty sure I could get my dad to let me watch it, even if my mom didn’t want me to see it, so can we watch it here?” 

“Yeah, let’s do that,” the others concurred. 

“I know your dad was all for letting you watch the scary movie at the Halloween party when I told him about it, so we can do this if you promise not to tell your mom.” 

“Yeah, I won’t say nothin’ to her about it, and my dad thinks my mom is bein’ too protective with me.  He says she’s tryin’ to keep me tied to her apron strings and that’s why he’s lettin’ me come here this weekend.” 

“I had a feeling that might be the case.”

Once I found out which channel the movie was on, we all settled in to watch it.  Glen and Brady sat in the chairs, and Dakota and Reece sat on either side of me on the sofa as Jamie sat on my lap.  I felt there was a duel purpose to Jamie sitting with me this time.  Not only was it something he liked to do, but I’d also be able to reassure him through the scarier parts of the movie. 

As he’d done before, Reece leaned against me as well, and Jamie would squeeze my arm during the more frightening scenes.  I saw each of the boys jump in their seats during some of the really scary moments, so I hoped they wouldn’t have nightmares or trouble sleeping later.  I also had a feeling Jamie was going to be sleeping with me. 

When the movie ended, Glen made a comment.  “I’m glad that boys don’t play with dolls, cuz if we did I’d be takin’ all of them out of my room now.” 

“Yeah, I’ll never enter my sister’s room again,” Brady added, “cuz she’s got a bunch of dolls in there.” 

“She still plays with dolls?” Reece asked. 

“Nah, they’re just dolls she had when she was younger and she keeps them in her room for decoration.”

“I bet she wouldn’t do that if she saw this movie,” Jamie chimed in. 

“Yeah, you’re prob’ly right,” Brady agreed.

Once the conversation died down, Dakota asked a question.  “Can we use your shower again?” 

“You showered earlier, after we rode on the four-wheelers.” 

“But we got sweaty when we was shooting hoops.” 

“You weren’t playing a game, and I doubt you sweated that much just shooting baskets, so I don’t think it’s necessary.” 

“Uhhh, we did play against each other a little bit, and we still want to do this,” he whined. 

“Does anyone else feel he has to shower?”

To my surprise, Reece, Brady, and Glen nodded that they did as well.” 

“Ok then, just make it snappy.”  I wasn’t sure if they were doing this because they got sweaty earlier or just wanted to be squeaky clean for what they had planned next, so I let them have their way.

Those four boys all raced upstairs to get ready to wash up, but I took my time turning off the TV and the lights downstairs before I headed up to my room.  Jamie was right behind me every step of the way. 

“Can I sleep with you again?” 

“Yes, but is it because of the movie?” 

“I was gonna ask to sleep with you anyway, but now it’s cuz of the movie too.” 

“Ok, I just wanted to see what you had to say.  So are you going to shower?” 

“Nah, I’m ok.” 

When we entered my bedroom, Brady and Glen were there totally naked, and they were moving around the room and each other like two wrestlers.  However, instead of attempting to take one another down, they were merely trying to grab the other’s penis. 

“Are you two having fun?” I asked when I saw what they were up to. 

“Yeah,” they each responded, although Brady was blushing slightly. 

“I never get to do stuff like this and its fun,” he finally admitted, “so I hope you don’t mind?” 

“I don’t, as long as no one is getting hurt.” 

“Nah, we’re only grabbing each other’s cock, not their balls,” Glen replied. 

“I see.”

I also saw that Brady was semi-hard from this activity, so I didn’t know if it meant there was a good chance that he is gay as well.  I’ll be interested in hearing what they were up to once they got to Glen’s room. 

A couple of minutes later, Dakota and Reece emerged from the bathroom and Glen and Brady went in next.  Although Dakota kept going and went over to his room, Reece stopped to chat with me. 

“I’m havin’ a blast stayin’ here again and I just wanted to thank you.”  I had a feeling he also wanted to give me another good look at his penis, because his hips were turning from side-to-side and making his penis sway back and forth to draw my attention to it. 

“You’re welcome and I’m glad you’re having fun.” 

About that time, Dakota came back into the room and grabbed Reece by the arm so he could drag him out the door and down the hallway.  I assume he had plans for the two of them and wanted to get started. 

As soon as they were gone, Jamie and I began to undress, and then Glen and Brady came out of the bathroom.  When Brady saw Jamie, he asked a question. 

“Are you guys goin’ to shower now?” 

“Nah, I’m just gonna sleep with dad,” Jamie replied. 

“You do that too?” Brady asked rhetorically. 

“Yeah, he does and I’ll explain it to you when we get to my room,” Glen quickly responded. 

Brady obviously took the hint and the two of them left, so I went over and shut the door before Jamie and I got in bed. 

“Do you think Glen is gonna tell Brady I’m sleepin’ with you cuz the movie scared me?”

“I’m not sure, but he might.  He may also just tell him that each of you boys sleep with me from time to time.” 

“Ah, ok, and I hope that’s all he says to him.” 

Once we got into bed, Jamie immediately cuddled with me like he normally did.  He never asked me to do anything else with him, so it must be the movie had either scared that need out of him or merely made him forget about it, although he sought my protective embrace.  It must have worked, because it didn’t take long before he fell asleep and I heard the gentle rhythm of his breathing.
