This story involves homosexuality in loving, caring relationships between boys and men, not necessarily sexual in nature yet, but it will come. If this sort of material offends you, you shouldn't really have got this far, let alone start reading this story. You've had plenty of warnings from previous pages. If you shouldn't be reading this, for whatever reason, don't get caught, because I know that me telling you not to read this isn't going to stop you (I am 18 and legal, but I do know what temptation's like)(This does not constitute me condoning this action). This is predominantly a love/romance story and not particularly incestuous in its absolute form, nor authoritarian, though slavery is used as a means to get the story moving and on to its main focus. This story is entirely fiction and any similarity of anything to a real-life counterpart is coincidence. All spelling and words are British English and may differ to those used in America. Any such words that are significantly different will be added in a list at the end of the chapter and translated into any American English equivalent I know. This story is my work and should not be reproduced in any way (with the exception of one electronic copy for your own personal use), whole or modified, without making it absolutely clear that I am the author. You may not demand anything that may equate to financial gain in return for allowing someone to access this work. Any quotes should be attributed to me unless otherwise stated by my own acknowledgement to someone else. Plagiarism is a criminal offence under any penal code I have ever come across, so please do not commit this offence. At this point in time, Nifty holds the only authorised English copy in the public domain outside my possession. Any changes in possessions shall be notified in later chapters. This 'chapter' defines the 'Laws' that govern the course of future events in this story for quite a while. This 'chapter' does not define existing Acts of Parliament and should not be construed as such. The 'Acts' are written in a fashion that I hope looks reasonably legal. Real Acts are written in prose and not in lists. This is done to keep the distinction between the two. Once more, the 'Acts' defined in this 'chapter' do not exist - do not construe them as reality.

And thus ends the "Chapter" concerning the Acts involved in the story. To start with, the story only requires the Acts of 1980 and 2000. You will be informed at the right points in time of any further developments that require you to take into account later Acts. The closing of Bow Street Magistrates' Court happened in real life. It closed after more than 300 years service. No mean feat for any building.

The following chapters should flow more quickly, now that I have set up the framework behind them. Though I cannot guarantee regular updates, it shouldn't be 3 months like last time. You can contact me in the usual way, via e-mail at sable.author@googlemail.com. Please include 'Nifty' and the title. Failure to do so will probably mean that your e-mail will get lost, as I use filters.

Please consider contributing to Nifty financially. If you can't, like me, consider contributing in another way. This is my way of contributing.
