January 2003 After our time together, Jared seemed to want to spend the majority of his day at my place. It was still mostly under the pretext he was working for me, so Josh didn't tag along at those times, but Josh did like to join us on the weekends, when he thought we'd play more than work. Jared and I did get a lot of the work done that I had wanted to do, and we even began to repaint the interior of my home. One day while we were working, I asked Jared to go down to the mailbox and collect my mail, as I was expecting something important. He went down and brought it up, and as he handed it to me, he asked me a question. "Your last name is Cox?" "Yes, with an 'x'. I thought you knew that." "No, I didn't, and that's kind of a funny name for you." "Why? Don't you like it?" "Me? Of course I do. I've never met any Cox I didn't like." Now he burst out laughing, thinking he had just made up that joke. If only he knew how many times I had heard that, or similar jokes about my last name, while I was growing up. "So you've got two cocks then?" he asked me. "One in your pants and another for your name?" He began to laugh again. "Yeah, and if I got married, I could have lots of little Cox too." Now Jared was nearly rolling on the floor in hysterics, and I thought it was best to get through this as quickly as possible. "I attend all the Cox reunions, and when I go, there are big Cox, little Cox, old Cox, and young Cox. We have skinny Cox, and fat Cox; smart Cox, and dumb Cox; and if anyone in my family goes drinking, then those Cox might end up half in the bag. We have smoking Cox, and non-smoking Cox. We have rich Cox, and poor Cox, and some Cox might have to be supported by others. We have athletic Cox, and couch potato Cox, and some Cox prefer to hang out, while other Cox enjoy the comforts of home. Any questions?" Jared was splitting a gut by now, and he could hardly breathe, let alone respond, so I let him work his way through all I had just thrown at him. By the time he calmed down, I thought we had probably eliminated most of the future jokes about my surname, unless Josh also found my name as humorous. After that little session with Jared, I didn't hear any more references to my last name again, and I was glad I overdid it at that time, and we got through this all in one session. Jared's birthday was just around the corner now, and he'd be turning fifteen soon. His birthday was on July third, so I figured we could really do up the holiday weekend with a big party for him one day, and then celebrate the Fourth the next. When I got in touch with his mother, Sherry, to inform her of what I wanted to do, I discovered that, unfortunately, she didn't have both those days off. I figured I'd readjust my plans, so she would be off for the party, and then I asked her if there were any others Jared might want invited. She said she couldn't think of any, but she'd ask Josh, to see if he knew if Jared had any special friends. If Josh didn't know of any either, then she'd ask Jared directly, without letting him know why she was asking. She didn't want to ruin the surprise that I was going to be holding a birthday party for him. I thought her suggestion would solve my problem nicely. The planning continued, and Jared kept coming down to my house as usual. The following Saturday he and Josh came down to swim again, and once we had finished working out in the pool, the boys decided they wanted to watch a movie. I let them choose what they wanted, and they picked an old film, 'Homeward Bound - The Incredible Journey', about two dogs and a cat that crossed the Sierra Mountains to return to their home. It has plenty of exciting moments, great scenery, and some clever wisecracks between the animals. We all enjoyed the movie, though I had seen it several times before, and when it was over Jared told me that someday he wanted a dog too. He said he knew his mother couldn't afford to buy dog food and such now, but he hoped someday they could, because he really thought he'd have a lot of fun with a dog of his own. Now I asked the boys what they wanted to do next, and Jared said he'd like to play miniature golf again, if that wasn't asking too much. I told him it wasn't, and I asked Josh if he'd ever played, and he said he hadn't. I thought this was an ideal activity then, and we could teach Josh how to play too. When we got there, we each picked up our golf balls and putters, and then I gave Josh a few pointers, before he took his turn. We let Jared go first, so Josh could see how he did it, and then Josh would go next. He did fairly well, but I could see he was more independent and less likely to accept advice than his brother was, so I gave him only as much assistance as he seemed to be interested in accepting. Due to his independence and stubbornness, he struggled at various points, but both boys seemed to enjoy themselves. I had low score this time, with Jared coming in next, but we both made sure to emphasize to Josh that he had done fairly well, considering it was his first time ever playing. It was approaching dinnertime when we finished, so I dropped them both off at their house. That way they would be there when their mother came home to have dinner with them. They had no problem with this, though they did ask if they could come down to my house after their mother went back to work, and I told them that would be fine. After we had settled that issue, they thanked me for taking them miniature golfing, reminded me they'd see me later, and then they went into their house. I got a call shortly after I got back, and it was Sherry, first thanking me for taking the boys out earlier, but then she had some information for me. She told me there were two boys with whom Jared was friendly with at school, and there was also another boy, who was also Josh's friend, but Jared hung around with him at times too. She then gave me their names and phone numbers, leaving it up to me if I thought they should be invited. I told her I would take care of it, and thanked her for her help. I now had a good idea of what I was going to do for him, and now I just had to get it all organized and set into motion. It just so happened that Jared's birthday was on Thursday this year, but Sherry had to work on that day, as usual. I talked to her about waiting and holding his party on Friday, when she had off, because of the holiday, but she didn't want to do that. She was concerned that the other boys wouldn't be able to come, because their parents might have family plans for the Fourth, so she thought holding it on his birthday would be best. Reluctantly, I agreed, but I had to figure some way to work her into this celebration, as I didn't want her to feel left out. I concentrated all my efforts into figuring out how to resolve this dilemma, when suddenly an idea came to me. It seemed simple enough, yet it had been so difficult to see, but isn't that the way most problems are? I called the diner where Sherry worked, and spoke to the owner. I asked him if he could plan Sherry's dinner break for a certain time on that day, letting him know that if he did, I'd make a reservation to have Jared's party at his establishment. That way his mother could join us for her son's birthday party, and he could earn our business. He said he'd be happy to do that for us, though I assumed he was probably happier to know that I'd be paying for several meals that he might not have otherwise sold. Regardless of his reason, I had a partial solution to my problem. As the day of Jared's birthday celebration approached, I merely asked Jared to come down to my house that day, as I had a project I needed his assistance with. Although I could see a little disappointment registered on his face, because he thought I had forgotten that day was his birthday, he agreed to help me, nonetheless. That also helped to convince me that he was totally unaware of my real plans for him. His brother Josh had more of an idea that I had something planned, because I had asked him to quietly invite his friend and the two boys from school, with whom Jared was friendly, but he also wasn't aware of any of the details of what I had in store for them. He did his part, however, quietly inviting the others, but one of the boys wouldn't be able to join us, because of other family commitments. The other boys would meet up with Josh, at his house, and then walk down to mine, because Jared would already be at my place, helping me with those projects. That morning Jared obediently pedaled down to my place, and we immediately set about doing a small project I had dreamed up to distract him. Once we had finished the minor chore, I suggested he go up to shower, and change in to one of the outfits he kept here. I told him that while he was doing that, I would be doing the same, explaining that I had to run to town to pick up a few supplies. He agreed, but he wanted to mess around a bit first, hinting that it was his birthday and that could be my gift to him. I explained that I was pressed for time now, but suggested we might be able to do something later, however he wasn't exactly pleased with my response. Regardless of his disappointment, he responded like a good little trooper, doing exactly what he was asked. I sped through my shower, so I could be downstairs to greet the others when they arrived, as I wanted everything set up and ready, before Jared came back downstairs. Before long, Josh and the other two boys showed up and I explained what I had planned for when Jared came downstairs. We soon heard the shower turn off, and then I had an unsettling thought. I hoped Jared got dressed before he came downstairs, and didn't come down naked, hoping to entice me into a little midday action. It was definitely too late to worry about that now, without spoiling his surprise for him, so I just held my breath and waited for him to appear. Fortunately, he came out fully dressed, though looking more than a little forlorn, that was until we all screamed 'Happy Birthday', and he looked down and saw us waiting for him. At first he was startled when we shouted out, and he jumped backward slightly, before that special grin of his began to spread across his face. Soon he was beaming, realizing that I had arranged this little surprise for him, and he came bounding down the stairs to greet the others. The three boys surrounded him, wishing him another round of 'happy birthday', and then Jared looked at me and smiled broadly. "You're sneaky," he blurted out. "I thought you had forgotten all about my birthday," he explained. "How did you set all this up, without me finding out about any of it?" "Oh, I had a little help," I confessed, pointing at his brother. "Josh knew about this and was able to keep it a secret?" Jared asked. He seemed amazed by that bit of information. "Josh is never able to keep a secret," he continued, "and he always gives it away before the time comes. Even when we try to plan something nice for mom, he always manages to tell her beforehand, so it's never a surprise." "Well, I kept this secret, didn't I?" Josh responded, annoyed that Jared had spilled the beans about his less than admirable trait, especially in front of the rest of us. Instead of making a scene over it, however, he used it to turn things back on Jared. "I guess I showed you I could keep a secret, even if it was for a brother who doesn't really appreciate what I do for him." Jared now felt bad about what he had said, and he went over and placed his arm around Josh's shoulder, trying to let him know he meant no harm by his comments. "Hey, I did the same things when I was your age, and I didn't mean anything by what I said. I was just amazed, that's all." "I know, but I kept this secret, so I could surprise my big brother." I could see this touched Jared deeply, and the boys were growing closer and more appreciative of each other now, but that's when I decided to step in and end this, before they embarrassed themselves in front of the other pair. "Okay, let's go out and load up in the Tahoe. I've got some plans made for today." As we headed out to get into my SUV, all of the boys wanted to know what I had in store for them, but I wasn't about to tell them. I wanted this to be a surprise, and there were multiple parts to my little scheme. Once they were all buckled up, I drove off toward town, with Jared and Josh immediately recognizing where I was going. "Hey, we're going to the miniature golf course, aren't we?" Jared wanted to know. "Oh, could be," I replied, not committing myself totally. Suddenly I could hear the boys whispering, as they made plans to pair up and play against each other. It was going to be Jared and his friend from school, against Josh and his friend, but then suddenly Jared realized something else. "If we play against each other, then we'll be leaving Bob out. That's not fair." "Hey, I'll still play. I just won't be part of your competition. That's fine, and I don't mind," I assured him. Jared eyes searched my face, as if he were trying to read my soul, but he apparently couldn't discern any hurt or disappointment in my expression, so he figured I was being honest. However, he still wanted to double-check. "Are you sure you don't mind?" he asked, just to make certain. "Not at all. In fact, if you boys hadn't planned on doing that, I'd probably have suggested it anyway, just to make things more interesting for you." Now Jared smiled and took a deep breath. "Kay, if you're sure, Dad." He was smiling at me, and I didn't know if he realized the slip he just made in front of the others, or if they had picked up on it. Both his friend and Josh's friend knew I wasn't really his father. However, no one made a big deal out of it, so I thought possibly they hadn't caught on to what he had said, as I had done. We were at the miniature golf course in short order, and we selected our putters, golf balls, and picked up a scorecard. The boys began trash talking with their opponents, trying to intimidate them before they took their turn, but it was all being done in a friendly manner, so I let them carry on. They played pretty even for the first several holes, but on the very difficult eighth hole, Jared made an extraordinary putt, getting a hole-in-one. The others weren't so fortunate, and encountered various problems with their own putts. This catapulted Jared's team into the lead, but that didn't last long. On the tenth hole, Josh's friend got a hole-in-one, drawing them within one stroke of Jared and his partner. The pressure was on for the remainder of the contest, and things were nip and tuck as we came down the homestretch. The lead was going back and forth, but more than half of the time the two teams were tied. We were now approaching the final two holes, and you could see how hard each team wanted to win this competition. Josh's team was up by one at this point, and I could tell how hard Jared was pushing to take back the lead. However, he wasn't the one to help his team get into a position to win, as his putt went errant and left him in an awkward position to sink his second putt. Fortunately for him, his brother did almost the identical thing, but then Jared's friend made his second putt, while Josh's friend missed his. Jared and Josh each scored a three, deadlocking the overall score once again, coming up to the final hole. Luckily, this wasn't one of those courses that had a final hole meant merely to collect your golf balls. This course had a final hole that the boys could actually play. The tension was thick as each boy stepped up to putt, and you could see the determination on everyone's face. The idea was to get the ball close enough to the hole to be able to sink the second putt, maybe getting lucky in the process, and making a hole-in-one. The problem is, things don't always go as we plan. Jared's friend had honors, so he putted first. He didn't make a bad putt, but it wasn't all that good either. He still had a long putt for his two. They let Josh's friend go next, and he did only slightly better than the first boy, leaving himself a lengthy putt for two. Jared followed with a pretty good putt, leaving himself only about a two-foot putt for a two, but Josh did even better, leaving himself a putt of only a little over a foot to make. The two who were farthest from the hole putted first, and they both missed their next putts, but then put it in the hole for three, leaving it up to Josh and Jared. Jared was the next to go, and he made a very good putt. His putt caught the edge of the cup, looked like it was going to stay out, but then fell in, putting the pressure on Josh. I thought this was going to be a very easy putt for Josh to make, so the teams would end up tied, but surprisingly his putt went slightly to the left, with his ball ending up about an inch from going in the cup. As Jared and his partner celebrated their win, and started spouting trash to their opponents, I began to wonder if Josh just made a bad shot, or if he actually missed his putt on purpose. I couldn't tell by his expression, but I had seen him make many putts more difficult than that, but he didn't seem all that distraught about losing. As we turned our putters back in, Jared and the other two boys said they had to use the restroom, so they ran off, leaving Josh and me standing alone. "Hey, I thought you were going to make that putt. That was tough luck," I told him, giving him an opening. "Oh, well. Crap happens," he said, grinning at me. "I guess Jared can consider that one of my birthday presents to him." Now he winked at me, confirming my suspicion. "That was pretty nice of you," I told him. "Well, it is his birthday, and I could see how much he wanted to beat us." "Just the same, I'm proud of you." At that point Josh and I decided to use the restroom too, and we entered, just as the other three were finishing up. After we had completed our business, we got back into my SUV, and we set off once again, however this time the boys didn't guess where we were heading, until we finally got there. You see, I had made arrangements for us to go go-carting next. I had called ahead and rented the track for an hour, so the boys could have a good time, without having to worry if they were experienced enough to drive with others on the track. I figured it would probably be Jared and Josh's first time doing this, and I was correct on that assumption, but I also discovered the other two had never done this either. We had to wait about ten minutes, until our time began, and one of the attendants explained to the boys how to operate the go-carts, as we waited for the other attendant to get the final three people off the track. I had offered to pay the equivalent of twenty people, to get that hour by ourselves, which was far more than their average attendance for that time of day. Seeing the profit in the situation, the owner jumped at the chance to make some extra money, even though he knew it might upset a few of his other potential customers. Soon there were five go-carts lined up and waiting for us, and we were ready to try our hands at driving these miniature vehicles. I suggested to the boys that they take a few easy laps first, just to get familiar with the go-carts, and once we were all comfortable with how to operate them, maybe we could set up some races. The boys all seemed to think that was a good idea, and we all started out slowly. After a couple of laps, the boys began to build their confidence, and they were soon ready to begin racing. I suggested we do this first in pairs, so there were fewer vehicles on the track to cause problems, and this would let the boys concentrate on what they were doing and just one other driver. Jared and his friend went first, with Jared winning that race. Josh and his friend went next, with Josh's friend just nosing him out in the end, but only because he managed to get the inside position. After that Josh and Jared raced, with Jared winning again, and then the boys' two friends raced each other next, with Jared's friend getting the better of that deal. The final race paired Jared and Josh up with each other's friend, with Jared losing his first race, and with Josh barely beating Jared's friend. Now everyone wanted to challenge me. So we increased to going three at a time, with me taking on Josh and Jared first. We let Jared have the inside position, and he managed to hold tight while steering around the corners, nosing Josh and myself out in the end. I know I didn't push extra hard to try and beat him, and I had the feeling Josh didn't either, but Jared never suspected the race might have been rigged slightly. Next I took on their two friends, and I went all out this time. I started on the outside, and quickly cut in front of the other pair, gaining the inside position, and I used that to push them wide on the turns, and I won easily. This helped to convince Jared that I was trying my hardest, and allowed him to believe that he had won fairly in our previous race, but now all the boys were ready to race at the same time. With five of us on the track, I knew a one lap race would not be a true test, so we decided to make this a ten lap contest, with the attendant giving us hand signals as to the number of laps we had completed. I felt my role in this race was to slow some of the other drivers down, making it easier for Jared to win the first race. After he had won the one, then I'd back off, and let things go as they would, but I wanted him to win the first group race. We started on the attendant's signal, and I immediately cut off two of the other drivers. This put me in the middle of the pack, but Jared was just in front of me. In order to help him, I'd have to pass him at this point, so I shot by him, as we came out of the next curve. I also tried to cut inside the next person, as we came to the next corner, and I managed to get the inside position. I was merely going to force him wide, and let Jared pass us on the inside, but the front of one kid's cart banged into the rear of my cart, and he overcorrected at that point, causing him to spin out. I understood he did a little more than a one-eighty, before he came to a stop, but he was fine, just a little shaken. I felt bad about this happening, but there was still one more driver I had to worry about, so I set my sights on him, and put the other kid out of my mind. Soon I was making my move. Jared was still behind me, as he managed to squeak by the go-cart that had spun out in front of him, and now I had to figure a way to get rid of the final obstacle in his path. There were only a couple of laps to go, so I knew I had to make my move fast. I couldn't tell who was driving, as his helmet made it hard for me to see, but I thought it was Jared's friend, as I thought I recognized his shirt. As I tried to cut him off on the inside, he saw what I had planned and cut me off instead. Seeing my path cut off, I swerved to go to the outside, but he went to block me there too. That's when I made another quick move to his inside, catching him by surprise. He couldn't react quickly enough to prevent that, and I got between him and the infield, but he tried to cut me off now, by veering back toward the center of the track. Unfortunately for him, by that time it was too late to do anything to regain the lead. All that happened was he banged his cart into mine, though not intentionally, and as I jerked my wheel to the right, to correct for the impact, he went veering off to that side, and he crashed into the railing along the outer perimeter of the track. I almost lost control of my vehicle too, but I let up on the gas to regain control, and before I had readjusted, Jared had passed me by. Now he was in the lead, and he easily finished in first place. He was so excited about having won that he pumped his fists into the air as he crossed the finish line, and he was all smiles when he removed his helmet. Everyone was congratulating him, when the attendant came up to tell us we just had time for one more race, before our hour was up. The boys wanted all of us to compete in that one final race, and I was sure some of the boys wanted to get even with me for what had happened during the last race. We quickly got back into our carts, lined up in the order we had finished, giving Jared the pole position. The attendant waved his arm, setting us into motion, but this time I fell to the rear, choosing to merely watch the boys, as they competed with one another. Needless to say, I had a great spot to view this race from, right behind the four boys, and I spent most of my time watching them jockey for position, and trying to outsmart one another. It was like a chess match, and I observed them formulate strategy, make their moves, and then I would watch as the others attempted to make some sort of a counter-move. The problem was, this wasn't a one-on-one competition, and as they moved against one opponent, another would take advantage of the opening that had just been created. The leader changed constantly, as we went around the track, and lap after lap someone new would take control, until Jared and Josh's friends got tangled up with each other. They were coming around one of the turns, when the driver on the inside tried to bump the cart next to his, possibly to gain some room or because he was upset about something the other driver had done. Well, his bump was a little too forceful, sending them both across the track, where they smashed into the outer protective rail, putting them both out of the running. This left Jared and Josh battling to win the race, with me following discreetly behind them, just as we were about to begin the final lap of this race. I could tell this time Josh wasn't going to let Jared win so easily, and the two of them continued to battle it out. Josh was in the lead, but he kept an eye over his shoulder, watching for his brother to make his move, and when Jared tried to cut to the inside, Josh was ready for him. As Josh tried to swerve to cut Jared off, the two got tangled up, and Jared's cart smashed into the inner rail, and then into the back of Josh's cart. This spun Josh's cart around, so now he was heading in the wrong direction, and Jared's cart was now blocked between his brother's cart and the rail. Without even trying, I passed them both and crossed the finish line first, winning the race when I wasn't even trying. Seeing I had won, however, I played it up big time, doing a little victory dance after I got out of my cart, and giving them the old 'number 1' routine. The boys soon told me it was a fluke, and I was lucky to win, but I didn't let up, telling them that was my plan from the beginning, to let them fight it out, and then slip past them before it was over. They all gave me the old, 'I don't believe you for one-minute' look, and then we exited the racetrack, with the boys joking with one another about all the things that had happened there. They were all having a good time recalling the things that had taken place at the track or at the miniature golf course, as we rode in the Tahoe, and I think they had assumed we were heading home at that point. They all seemed kind of surprised when I pulled into the diner instead, but I think they merely thought we were stopping to check in with Jared's mother. When I told them to hop out and come with me, they all seemed puzzled, but they did as I instructed, and we went into the diner. We were soon being led to a table in the back corner, where we would be less likely to disturb the other diners, in case we wanted to let loose a bit, while celebrating Jared's birthday. Sherry came by after we were seated, telling me I was very sneaky to set this up without telling her first, but then she told us she'd be joining us in a few minutes, after the last of her current customers had finished. Another waitress soon came over to take care of us, giving us menus, pouring our water, and asking us what else we might want to drink. I had the boys order whatever they wanted, while I ordered a coffee for myself, and then we looked at the menus, as we waited for Sherry to join us. The drinks had been delivered to the table before she got there, and then we all ordered from the menu, before the boys began to fill her in on everything they had done, up to that point. Sherry smiled and gave me that motherly 'you've outdone yourself again' look, as she learned about our exploits, but I could tell she was actually pleased for her sons, especially Jared. She listened intently to every detail any of the boys told her, and then she laughed at how I had won the last race, guessing that I lagged behind on purpose. By the time the food came, the boys had told her pretty much all that had happened, so now we talked about other topics, as we ate. Once we had finished our meals, the waitress came over to clear the table, and I whispered to her as she took my plate away. Everyone began to question what I had told her, but I played dumb, and they were still questioning me about it when the waitress returned, carrying a birthday cake, with fifteen lighted candles on top. I think they now had their answer about what I had told her, but they focused on Jared and the cake at this point. I had ordered this through the manager, when I made the reservation, and now I suggested we sing happy birthday to Jared, so he could make his wish and blow out the candles. After a very loud and raucous chorus of 'happy birthday', Sherry told Jared to make his wish. Instead of doing so, he turned to her and spoke. "I don't have to," he replied. "I already have my wish. I've got a really special dad now." He looked over at me at that point, and I think Sherry and I almost burst into tears, because of what he had just said. We did somehow manage to maintain our composure though, as his two friends began to catch on to the depth of our special relationship. After making that pronouncement, Jared blew out the candles, and we had him cut the cake, and then the waitress came back with bowls of ice cream for each of us. Each bowl had two scoops of vanilla ice cream in it, but she also placed a pitcher of chocolate syrup and two bowls on the table, one with strawberry topping and the other with pineapple topping in it. This way the boys could make their own sundae, selecting any flavor or combination of flavors they might wish to have. After we finished our desserts, I slipped away to pay the check and tip the waitress, as I didn't want to take the chance of any of the others seeing the bill. I knew Sherry could probably find out later, if she really wanted to, but I hoped she wouldn't go to that extreme. Now it was time for us to say good-bye to her, as she had to continue to work, and I took the others home. I drove the two friends to their own homes first, acknowledging their 'thank you' as I delivered them to their front doors, and then I drove Josh and Jared back to my place. Sherry had already agreed to let the boys spend the night with me, as we also had plans to get together the next day. We were all going to go on a picnic and celebrate the Fourth of July together. We'd spend the day at the local park, doing many different things during that time, and then we'd watch the fireworks display that would be held there later. I wasn't sure if they had included me in their family outing, or I had managed to barge my way in, but I was going to try to make sure they all had a wonderful time. When we got to my place, both boys thanked me for the fun day, but then Jared whispered a little something extra in my ear, telling me he'd pay me back later for the great time. He then told me that was the best birthday he'd ever had, and I told Josh we'd do something special for his birthday in November too. He smiled when I told him that, as he now knew that this wasn't only going to be for Jared, and I think we were growing closer every day as well. I was glad he wasn't feeling left out. Now it was time for me to give Jared his present, so I left the room, but soon I returned holding a chocolate lab puppy. Jared leaped from his seat, when he saw me holding this wiggling little bundle, and I quickly explained that he could leave the puppy at my place, and he could care for it here. That way I could supply the food and make sure his mother wasn't strapped with any responsibility for the dog. I also had a cage for it to stay in, whenever we were away, and it would have lots of room to run around, as it would grow to a good size. Jared fell in love with the puppy right away, and soon he and Josh had come up with a name for it. They had decided to call him Boo-Boo. They wouldn't explain to me why they had selected that name, but I was sure there was some sort of story behind it, and now the two boys frolicked with the pup. After tiring each other out, the boys decided to watch a movie, so we popped in a DVD and sat together on the couch. I had a boy cuddled up against me on each side, and the puppy was curled up on Jared's lap. At one point, we paused the movie so Josh could go to the toilet, and I took that opportunity to inform Jared that we might not be able to do anything later, with Josh being here too. He said he knew that, but figured he could slip away for at least a few minutes during the night, without Josh being any the wiser about what might be going on. I told him we'd have to be very careful, as I didn't want anything to happen that might jeopardize what we had now, and he said he'd be careful, but he didn't think Josh would mind, seeing he was feeling close to me now too. Soon after that, Josh returned and I had my arms around both boys again, as we watched the remainder of the movie. When it was over, I suggested we all head to bed, and both boys were more than ready to turn in for the night. It had been a long day, and I think we were all exhausted. I had them take the puppy outside first, so it could do its business, and then I told them they could take a shower tonight, or in the morning, and the boys opted for morning. Honestly, I didn't mind whatever choice they made, and I could see how they might think a shower would perk them back up, and not allow them to readily fall asleep afterward. The boys went into their own room, the one across the hall from mine, and hopped into bed, placing the puppy between them. I went in and crawled into bed alone, knowing I probably wouldn't be alone for the entire night. Around 2:00 a.m. I awoke, when I felt someone crawl into my bed. It was Jared, and soon he was giving me a huge, wet kiss. I eagerly joined in, slipping him my tongue and allowing him to gently suck on it, before I returned the favor. I could already feel his hand beginning to work its way down my chest, until he was able to massage my genitals, and he had me in a highly aroused state within a matter of minutes. Knowing we should probably be quick about this, if we were going to do anything at all, I began to run my palm over his organ too. Sensing the urgency of the situation, Jared swung around and placed his midsection above my head, and I began to slip off his underwear, to get at my prize. He proceeded to do the same thing to me, and soon we were in a frantic sixty-nine position, slurping eagerly at each other's fleshy straw. Jared must have been highly aroused, probably from thinking about this moment all evening long, and soon he was filling my mouth with his watery boy cream. Even though there was a momentary pause in his attention to me, as he enjoyed his own orgasm, he soon continued his ministrations, and he doubled his efforts to get me off as well. When the time came, my ejaculation exploded from my tiny slit, sending volleys of hot cum down Jared's throat, but he never let up or missed a beat in the process. Silently he drained me of all my juices, devouring most of them, and once the forcefulness of my climax began to subside, he would tease the final few drops from my penis. Once I was completely on empty, he swung back around and cuddled up against me, but we both knew this couldn't last for long. We only stayed that way for a few more minutes, before he got up and headed toward the toilet, on his way back to the other room. After that, we both went to sleep contented, having enjoyed Jared's special day to the max. * * * * * * * * Positive emails may be sent to ErastesTouch@aol.com
