Chapter 5 I decided that if this was going to be a holiday, we wouldn't travel the Interstate highways. We could have been in Washington in two days on the Interstate. Instead we stuck to secondary highways. It was slower but we could stop and look at attractions along the way. It took us over four days to reach Washington. The closer we got to Washington the more nervous Sam got. The Fifth day we could have made it but I stopped in a small town and got a motel. After dinner we were in our room and Sam couldn't sit still. "Come here Sam." When he was close I pulled him onto my lap. "Tell me what's wrong Sam." "It's my Dad. My Mom said he took off when I was five. I should be able to remember what he looked like or even sounded like but I can't. I just don't know my Dad. I guess I'm scared too." "Sam, your Father was a Marine. I'm sure the Marine Corp can tell you all about your dad." "I guess." He said but didn't sound too convinced. While he was on my lap, he scratched his balls a couple of times. "What's the matter Sam? Got crabs?" I laughed. "No. Their getting itchy coz I haven't shaved them in a while." "Well you were going to teach me to do that." "Oh yeah. You got a razor and shaving cream?" "No, but I'm sure I can buy one at that store." "Okay. Can I use your electric first?" "Sure Sam. I'll be right back." After I got back and undressed he used my electric shaver to trim all my pubic hair, including on my balls and my ass. He also shaved off my treasure trail leaving a tuft of hair above my cock. Very much like he had. We went in the bathroom and he used Shaving cream and a razor to shave everything very close. It took along time until he was satisfied. "It takes long the first time coz you got to get everything real close. You can do me now Gary." It only took about ten minutes to get him smooth as a billiard ball. WE showered after and when I checked my own, they did feel nice. I knew I'd have to shave about once a week to keep them that way, but figured we could do each other. That night we did the same as we had the first lessons same gave. Sam said it was much nicer coz he didn't get any hair in his teeth. Sleep was always easy with Sam beside me. I had booked a suite at the Washington Hilton. I wanted it mostly because I wanted Sam to have a nice view of Washington. He was in awe when we checked in and even more so when he saw the view from our balcony. Tomorrow we would go to the Graves Registration Office, tonight was to unwind from the trip. After sucking each other off we were just coming down from the rush. "Gary after we get home, I want you to put your dick inside me." "Oh Sam. I don't know. I'm real big Son and I don't want to hurt you." "Well it will hurt a little but I done it before and know how to do it slow. It might hurt you too when I do you." He giggled. I'd never thought of that, but was very sure if he wanted me inside him, I wanted him inside of me. "Well we will decide that when we get home." "That's going to be your next lesson." He laughed. "Okay teacher." In the morning we dressed in our best clothes. Except for his hair, which had grown out since he had stopped swimming, he looked perfect. It took us a while to find the right office, but soon after we proved it really was Sam Edwards, we were given the Plot number and a map to his Fathers Grave. They told us we would have to go to Marine Personal to get his Fathers personal effects. They told us that was in the Pentagon. WE had no problem finding the Pentagon and paid for parking in the visitors lot. Then walked inside. Well we got visitor passes and another map. We were warned that our passes were only good for the Marine area of the Pentagon. Well it took a long time to get to the right office. The Pentagon was huge. WE finally found an office Marked. USMC Personal and a smaller sign. Knock and enter. I knocked and walked in with Sam. A Marine looked up from his desk and the walked to the counter. "Can I help you Sir?" "My name is Gary Garrison and I am legal guardian of this young man. His name is Samuel Edwards. We were told his father was an officer and Marine and died in Iraq. We want to pick up his personal effects." "One moment Sir." He typed in a computer and then looked up. "Your Fathers records are flagged Son. I need permission to release them. Will you please wait?" "We're not leaving without them." I said. He went to a phone and made a call. I heard a lot of Yes Sirs and Aye, Aye Sirs. Then he called another number and talked for a bit. Before the clerk even spoke I heard behind me. "Could you please come with us Sir." Sam and I turned to see two Marines in dress blues." I just shrugged and Sam and I followed them out the door. They walked down the corridor to an elevator. "Our passes say we can't leave this area." I said. "Right Sir." He reached out and pulled both our passes. "We'll take care of them." The door opened and we got on an elevator. A few seconds later we got out in another corridor. They walked to an office, walked in and stood aside. Another Officer looked up. "One Moment Sirs." The officer walked to a door and opened it. Said a few words and then stepped to one side. "The Commandant will see you now Sirs." Oh shit, I thought. This was the office of the Commandant of the Marines. I wondered why we were here. WE walked in the door. The Man was standing behind a huge desk. A US Flag and a Marine Flag hung behind his desk. The walls were covered in photographs. There were cases of models every where. He looked up as we walked in. He looked at me and then at Sam. "You just have to Samuel Edwards. You are the spitting image of Captain Trent Edwards." He said as he came around his desk. He put out his hand. "I am very much honored to meet you Son. Your Father was a fine Officer and Marine." "Did you know my Dad?" Sam said. "Yes Son, I knew your Dad very well. I was his Commanding Officer in Iraq." "Can you tell me what happened to him?" "Yes I can do that too Son. Your Father was a real hero Son. He saved many Marine lives in Iraq." He turned and pulled a picture off the wall and handed it to Sam. I looked over his shoulder as he looked at the picture. It showed a Marine Officer in Blues with a baby in a white dress affair in his arms. The Commandant was standing beside him and another officer also in dress blues on the other side. The officer holding the baby looked exactly like Sam. There was no mistaking him at all. "That was taken at your baptism in the Marine Chapel Here at Quantico just after you were born son." I see you have gown up into a fine young man Sam. Your Father would be very proud." Sam clutched the picture to his breast. I put a protective arm over his shoulder and he leaned into me. "I wish I could remember him." Sam said. The Commandant turned away a bit and buttoned his tunic. He grabbed his cover and turned to the NCO at the door. "Everything will be set by the time we arrive Sir." He said to the Commandant. Come on Son." He made no move to take back the picture. WE walked out his door as Marines snapped to attention. He was guiding Sam. I just followed, Sam was all the Commandant was really interested in. He walked to the same elevator, but went down a lot further than we had come up. The doors opened on a big Garage. A long black limo stood waiting. A Marine opened the back door and the Commandant ushered in Sam, myself and then got in himself. The limo moved off smoothly and the Commandant sat back. "Where are we going?" I asked. "I'm sorry Mr. Garrison, I guess an explanation is in order. Your Father Sam left very specific instructions in his will. It specified that all his personal effects were to go to his Son. We did of course pay his Insurance into the trust he had set up for him, but considering you were only a five year old boy at the time of your Fathers untimely death, we couldn't give you his effects. We did tell your mother they were here but she never got back to us. Today we will honor your Father for you Son." Sam moved from the seat next to the Commandant and over next to me. I put my arm around his shoulder. "I can see where his loyalties lay now Sir and I am very happy for him." "Thank you. Sam and I are very close. I love him very much." I hadn't been watching where we were going and was startled somewhat when the limo stopped. A Marine opened the Door and we exited the limo. Not far away from where we were I saw two lines of Marines in Dress blues. Another line stood a ways away, all armed. AS we slowly made our way up a short incline I saw two Marines holding a Flag by its corners. A navy Chaplin stood at one end. There were also three chairs sitting facing the flag. It looked like a funeral without the coffin. The Commandant ushered us to the chairs and said we could sit. Then he walked to the other end of the Marines holding the flag. "ATTENTION TO ORDERS." "On behalf of the President of the United States and confirmed by Congress, Captain Trent Jackson, United States Marine Corp, is awarded the Silver Star for his actions in the Republic of Iraq on or about the ***********." "During the movement toward Bagdad, Captain Edwards' forward platoon came under intense fire from elements of the Iraqi National Guard. Ordering his platoon back, he stayed in position to allow the bulk of his platoon to pull back. His vehicle was hit by Iraqi fire and in the ensuing action Captain Edwards and his driver were killed. His actions were in the highest traditions of the United States Marine Corp and the United States Armed Forces." An officer handed the Commandant a small leather folder. He turned and walked toward Sam. Sam stood up. "PRESENT ARMS." He stopped in front of Sam. "On behalf of the United States Marines and a grateful Nation, I present this Silver Star to you Son. Wear it proudly." HE stepped back and saluted. "Thank you Sir." Sam said. Sam sat back down, fingering the Silver Star. The Chaplin then said a prayer. Could you all stand for Military Honors. He said. As the Marines fired three volleys, the two Marines holding the flag expertly folded it. They gave it to an officer. The officer walked to Sam. He leaned down to Sam. "On behalf of the President of the United States and a very grateful Nation I present you with this flag for your loved ones faithful service." Sam clutched the flag to his breast and cried. I just held him. Then a bugler played taps. As the honor party marched off the Commandant came over to Sam. "Stay as long as you like Son. We'll wait for you." He then saluted Sam and walked off. We sat for a long time. "Gary, do you think my Father would hear me if I talked to him?" "I am very sure he would hear you Sam." Sam got up and walked to the Stone Marker. He sat down very close. I didn't hear what he said, but watched as he ran his fingers over the lettering on the stone and then picked little bits from in front of it. He stayed for about ten minutes before he got up and came back to me. He wrapped his arms around me. "Thank you Gary. I'm happy now." We walked back and climbed into the limo. The Commandant had a drink in his hand. He handed one to Sam and me. Then lifted his glass. "To Captain Trent Edwards. He's in gods hands now." "WE drank and Sam made a face. "Sir did you drive or take a cab to the Pentagon?" "I drove. My truck if it hasn't been towed is in the visitor parking lot." "If you give me the keys, I'll have it delivered to your hotel. Also if you like Sam you can come out to Quantico and we can show you exactly what your father did." "I'd like that Sir." "Just give your name at the gate. They will be expecting you." "Thank you again Commandant." I said. "Not a problem Sir. The Marines always take car of their own. You are part of our Family now too Sam."
