My name is Jonny, some of you may have read some of the stories written by my twin, Dylan, but this particular story is my first attempt at writing. I would love to hear some opinions, just send them to my brother at Dylan49@gmail.com as we share the account. Running Away - Chapter Six The two entered the bookstore what seemed to Jesse miles apart. 'Can't believe that just happened.' He kept thinking. "Hey watch out!" someone yelled. Jesse tripped over a small display of books and fell forward, hitting his head on the table before him. "Ouuuahhh" He groaned, rubbing his head, which by now was throbbing with his latest fall. "Oh!" Oliver turned and seeing Jesse on the ground, ran back and dropped to the floor. "Are you okay?" He asked, his eyes shown with genuine concern. "I was uh, just admiring the view of the ceiling from down here you know..." He smiled awkwardly, trying to hide his discomfort. 'Why am I so ditzy in front of him?" Jesse secretly cursed himself. "C-come here." Oliver helped Jesse to the nearby bench. "I'll be okay. Ah" Jesse winced as he he attempted to wink. "You just hit your head on a table, most people don't think of that as a minor incident." Oliver said, trying to tend to the already darkening bruise. "It's turning black!" he said, a little frustrated that he couldn't do anymore than stare at it. "Here sir, this may help you." A employee from the bookstore handed Jesse a bag of ice,"Thanks" Oliver responded, pressing the makeshift ice pack to Jesse's forehead. "Ah, it's cold." Jesse winced again as the bag made contact. "Crybaby." Oliver smiled and held the bag in place. "Hey, don't make fun of someone in pain." Jesse teased. "Here, rest a little okay?" Oliver braced himself against the corner of the bench and let Jesse lean his head on his chest, remembering to keep a hand on the ice. A tingling sensation ran itself through Jesse's system as he allowed himself to rest on the all-to-welcoming chest that was to be his refuge. As he lay, he felt the young teen body's vigor wash over him. The gentle rising and falling of the body lulled him into a light slumber. "Hey, are you feeling better?" A voice called to Jesse, it echoed in his head, and sounded so, familiar. As the voice spoke, it became clearer, more defined. "helloo?" It asked again, Jesse opened his eyes, coming out of his sleep. His eyes focused on the face that was still clearing up. "Are you okay?" Oliver's voice asked. "Unh.." Jesse grunted as he struggled to sit up. "What time is it?" He asked, rubbing his eyes. "Around 10." Oliver said standing up. "What!?" Jesse jumped up, only to collapse back on the bench again, dropping the newly bought jacket that Oliver used to cover him as he slept. "Ouu" he moaned again. "No sudden movements." Oliver said, squatting in front of him. Oliver picked up the jacket off the floor. Painfully, and with many pauses, they finally reached Jesse's car, and drove home, slowly. As the car pulled into the driveway, Oliver ran over to the other side of the vehicle and bracing Jesse, they walked into the house. "I don't think, I can make it up on that high bed, my head is still pounding." Jesse said, falling into the couch's welcoming pillows. "It's okay." Oliver sat down beside him, placing his hands on Jesse's knee, reassuring him that he was there for him. Without thinking, Jesse moved his hand on top of Oliver's. "Ollie, I uh... about before..." he started, but that only made the pounding in his head worse. "I was just thinking about um..." his voice trailed away as he felt himself get a little more lightheaded. 'Stupid fall' he though again. Oliver understood, and pulled himself closer into Jesse's arms. Knowing that Oliver had accepted their kiss, their relationship, Jesse could let go, and with that he fell asleep again, with a smile on his face, and the boy of his dreams in his arms. _-_-_-_End Chapter Six_-_-_-_ Thanks for reading!
