When I got home all I wanted was to go to sleep but there was some business I needed to attend to before I rested. The car salesman assured me he seldom went to sleep before eleven so calling at nine-thirty was no problem. We chatted about what I wanted. They had the model I was looking for in a brown. He told me it was no trouble to have a blue one delivered. I was going to buy one so they would need a car to replace it. He promised to text me if any problem arose. I explained I had a full day tomorrow and might have to call him after hours again or early Thursday morning. No trouble at all he assured me and thanked me for a second sale. I told him he'd done such a good job the first time I wouldn't go to anybody else.

The next morning Natalia woke me by gently shaking my shoulder.

“Rohan it is five-thirty.” Natalia said. “Dylan called last night and asked if we would check on you this morning. You looked so tired he thought you might oversleep. I started the coffee. We're farmers and used to being up early. Kazimierz is out doing his morning rounds and will expect to hear you leaving at six. He'll hear the car.”

“Thank you, Natalia.” I said. “You are certain it's no trouble to cook for us tonight? I'm not certain what time I'll be home.”

“Cooking for two more is no trouble.” Natalia said. “I'll leave some in the slow cooker for you. That way it will stay warm.”

A change of clothing for Dylan was waiting for me on a bar stool. I had time for a quick cup of coffee and took a second with me. I told Dylan I'd do some meditating while Alida and Dariusz did their work. When it comes time for the sparring I will be fine I assured them all. Donat also seemed unconvinced about me sparring but let it go. Breakfast helped a lot. A few of the monks and nuns stopped at our table to thank me for making Maciej so much happier. The only downside they said was that he was so happy he had started singing in the shower. Dylan suggested they send in a nun to help him wash his back and kiss him if he started to sing. Alida told Dylan that judging by the thoughtful expression on the faces of a few nuns it looked like his suggested was being seriously considered.

I told Dylan it was only fair to email Frederick instructions to add a $100 bonus for each of Hubert's crew. Dylan had made a count of how many were on his crew. Once we'd greeted the two crews I went off to meditate. I knew I'd need it. Dariusz and Alida knew what to do. Dylan served us tea and some leftover cake. I did some more meditating until just before lunch. They had finished the window installation and installed the solar panels so we inspected the building. Hubert told us it would take a while for the batteries to charge but then we would be self-sufficient.

“My friends I wish to thank those people who worked so hard on restoring us to a level of comfort we have not known for a while.” Donat said as we gathered for lunch. “I especially want to thank Rohan who spent a considerable amount of his own money on us. Maciej in particular is especially grateful but he assured me he won't go easy on you in the sparring.”

“The honor of all light mace wielders is at stake.” Maciej declared. “We're professionals so bribery doesn't work.”

“This sparring has brought about a change to our lunch.” Donat continued when the laughter had subsided. “Rohan if you and Maciej have no objection the workers would like to watch the bout. Then we will serve some soup and a sandwich now. After the bout we will return for the remainder of our lunch.”

Dylan told Alida he was looking forward to watching a bout between two mace wielders. Alida gasped when Dylan told her we would fight to first blood. He told her it was the only honorable way to go with two skilled fighters. The best part is first blood wouldn't hurt him and neither would any scolding I got from my housekeeper. The soup and two sandwiches fortified me nicely. I glanced at Maciej who nodded so I stood up and announced the bout would begin soon.

“We'll need five minutes to warm up so finish your soup and sandwiches.” I said. “We'll start when Jozef tells me everybody who wants to watch is present.”

Talk stopped when people entered and saw me standing with my decorative stitching. While Maciej did some stretching and did a few practice swings of his mace I stood and grounded myself. Then I let some chi flow up through my feet and into my muscles. The bell mantra cleared my mind nicely. I stood and waited with my shield and heavy mace held motionless against me. Alida had asked if she could feel the weight of the mace. I told her the fact she could hold it off the ground was impressive. When she asked how I swung it Maciej had said with great difficulty. I thought of his comment and smiled.

Knowing that it was easy for the weight and momentum of my mace to throw me off-balance I kept the swings small and infrequent. Maciej delighted in trowing several quick strikes with his lighter mace. Some I swatted aside with my shield but most I simply avoided by swaying aside. A strike that missed by an inch was as good as one that missed by several feet. This was hard to remember when you heard the sound of the mace swinging through the air. Twice I felt its breath on my chest as the mace brushed in front of me.

A skillful Maciej and landed two bruising blows without breaking the skin. One struck me on the back of my shoulder. The other bruised my right bicep. I managed to stay patient and let my arm recover even though it nearly cost me the match. When I felt I could wait no longer I made use of the sheer power that only a heavy mace can give you. The key to staying balanced with the heavy mace was to make contact with something. Maciej had moved his shield slightly outwards to give himself room to swing his mace. Sliding my arm through the shield grip I grabbed my mace in two hands and swung. My mace caught the inside edge of the shield, dug in and dragged Maciej's arm out wide. Slamming my entire body into his left side I drove his own mace back into his chest.

“First blood.” Donat called even as my mace left a second cut on its way across Maciej's chest.

“There's no pretty nun to guard your back now.” a cold voice said.

“You should have attacked me from the back.” I said calmly turning to face the monk. “You might have drawn some blood.”

“You fool. I beat you and he defeated me with ease.” Maciej said. “Rohan this is the idiot I was telling you about. Go ahead dolt take a swing. Rohan won't kill you or hurt you too badly. More the pity.”

“Walk away.” I said angling my body towards the right and presenting my shield side to him. “Out of the Order or back north where you won't have access to weapons or be taught any other combat until I grant you permission.”

My stance put my mace further from him and with a shout of premature triumph the man attacked swinging his sword down at my head. I let my mace fall to the ground and stepped forward under his swing. My shield struck him hard in the ribs and everybody heard some of them snap. The sharp pain caused him to drop his sword behind me. Pushing him backward with my shield a second time I created enough space between us to land a solid uppercut. Aiming about a third of the way from the point of his chin I broke his jaw.

“Take care of him.” I said to the Hospitallers who always attended first blood bouts. “Treat him with extra kindness. Maciej he needs it more than anything else. Anybody else want to try their luck when my personal nun isn't around to guard my back? Then let's eat! Maciej let me buy you a drink.”

“I'll let you buy me several.” Maciej said. “Dylan I'd be honored to have a drink with you. Looks like you need one. Yes son that was a killing blow he tried to land. Less than one per cent of fighters would drop their weapon. Holding the heavy mace would have slowed Rohan down too much. He would have died if he'd held his weapon.”

“There is one other strike that would have saved me.” I said as I pulled on my shirt. “Yes Dylan the jab. He left his armpit was exposed. Even wearing armor this is a soft spot.”

“I don't want to know where you learned that.” Maciej said with a shudder. “Just thinking about the damage you'd do. Dylan's there's a row of vital organs protected by your ribs. Look at the size of the heavy mace. Measure it your hands. Now hold them against Dariusz. A little higher. Now draw a line level with his armpit and one at the lowest point across his chest. The only thing that might stop the mace is his ribs on the other side.”

“Rohan that's ghastly.” Alida said in genuine horror. “You'd be driving bone fragments ahead of you. I guess it would be all over when you hit the heart.”

“Sometimes one ghastly death makes others think twice and saves lives.” I said quietly. “Enough of this gruesome chatter. We have a splendid lunch waiting in a nice warm dining hall. Alida looks like she could do with a drink.”

“Me. I'm not the one some poor fool tried to kill.” Alida said. “How do you shrug off something like that so quickly?”

“The biggest danger he posed was to himself.” I said as we left the sparring room. “That's why I've ordered his combat training stopped.”

Donat was waiting outside the dining hall to ask me about my assailant’s comment of a nun watching my back. I briefly described the incident. Donat wanted to head off and phone the other chapter house but I told him I'd rather he joined us for lunch. A couple of hours won't matter Maciej pointed out. I sent Tracy a quick text to say we had found their missing monk and would update her in a few hours.

Stepping into the room I let my Lady sing a song of victory. Then she sang a song of thanksgiving. While the song of thanksgiving filled the air Donat wisely had food brought out. The problem with training the monks and nuns is they recognized he intended to kill me I explained when Dylan asked about the sombre mood. What they didn't know was his ineptitude and the two counters I had to his strike I continued. The vodka will help Maciej chipped in. Dylan agreed Alida had regained some color. A doctor came in and told Donat the broken ribs hadn't pierced any organs so it would be a lengthy, painful but uncomplicated recovery for the monk.

“Please help him Donat.” I said. “I won't order it but if you could extend kindness and bear witness to his story I would be most appreciative.”

“Will it stop you from promoting me?” Donat asked hopefully.

“No it won't.” I said laughing loudly. “But it might buy you some time. That all depends on how our other investigation goes.”

“A sliver of hope beats no hope Donate.” Maciej said. “Nicely done Rohan. The others needed to hear you laugh.”

“They could just go upstairs and have some sex.” I said. “I'm more than happy for them to slip away if they are discrete and there's no mass exodus. Spread the word quietly Maciej.”

“You are the one who needs it most but I guess as guest of honor you'll go last.” Maciej said. “Well drink up Rohan and let me get you a refill. That much we can do. Yes the food is particularly good. Nicely seasoned don't you think?”

“The key do a good stew is definitely the seasonings.” Jozef said winking at Dylan. “Rohan it was such a small donation there seemed no reason to trouble you about it. I suppose in more common terms we stole it from you. You had some extra in a bowl when I visited for a meal and under the guise of clearing up I appropriated it. I did a penance though.”

“Yes he did.” Maciej said. “We both shared the penance so we could bear witness to the other doing it.”

“We drank a cheap bottle of vodka together.” Jozef said with a perfectly straight face. “Rohan after being around you and drinking the good stuff this was absolutely horrid.”

“The hangover lasted an entire day.” Maciej said. “I hope everybody appreciates our sacrifice.”

“We definitely do.” Alida said kissing his cheek.

“Better wash away the memory with some good stuff.” I said pouring them a drink. “Don't let me ever hear of you two drinking cheap vodka again or the penance I set will be uglier than sin. Good idea Dylan. Remind when we are in town tomorrow. Jozef we'll stop at the liquor store and let the owner know if you and Maciej need a bottle or a case of good vodka he can charge my card.”

“Careful Dylan if you keep doing the things Rohan does to spoil us we might pick you as his replacement.” Maciej said leaning over to kiss Dylan squarely on the lips.

“I thought you liked me.” Dylan protested with a smile.

“Rohan promotes the people he likes.” Jozef pointed out. “That means as loyal followers of him we must seek to emulate the example he sets. That's the way of the Order. Nothing personal. That's just the way it is. Man proposes and Rohan disposes or deposes.”

“Please will somebody bring these miscreants some food.” I begged. “Right now they are laying it on so thick you could slice the air with a knife.”

“The term cloyingly sweet comes to mind.” Alida agreed. “I think the problem is they are still sober. Maciej got wounded twice and ought not to risk dehydration on top of it.”

“How he managed to shoot himself in the foot while carrying a mace instead of a gun was very skilful.” Dylan said with a grin.

“I had some help.” Maciej replied modestly. “Modesty prevents me from taking all the credit.”

“Why don't you take some vodka?” I asked. “Very good of you.”

The lunch continued for another hour before they brought out desserts. I stood and thanked everybody for their help getting the furnace and windows done. Maciej called out his thanks as well. Karol promised he would take me up on my offer to continue the party even though I had business to attend to and had to leave. Hubert promised to help his friend keep that promise. Donat told me he'd had beds prepared and wouldn't let them drive home drunk. A sleeping draught in one of the drinks later would take care of things.

“Dylan I want you to go spend some time with Dariusz.” I said. “Unfortunately much as I'd like to it just isn't possible for me to leave you here tonight. I'll be about an hour.”

“I think I'll go back to the cottage as well.” Alida said. “Some tea would be great. Dylan if you like we can prepare a cake together and then you and Dariusz can slip away while I keep an eye on it. We'll frost it together as well. Rohan neither Jozef nor Maciej have a problem disturbing the two of you if we need to.”

“Thank you, Alida.” I said sincerely. “Donat let's move I don't have a lot of time.”

“We have some Hospitallers here he could talk to.” Donat said when we were safely out of earshot. “Yes I suppose it would be better if he spoke to a therapist he knows and trusts. I hope he holds it together long enough for you to reach the home.”

“Me too.” I said. “That's why I'm in a bit of a rush. I'll text Tracy and tell her to call me with the head of their chapter house, Brother Michael and Waldemar present.”

“Boss you said it was extremely urgent so I'm calling to let you know we will be in the head guy's office in five minutes.” Tracy said. “No it's best if we wait so you don't repeat yourself. Are you and Dylan okay? For now. What do you mean for now? Brother Michael will explain it in a bit. Why don't you? Oh he might need to show me. Okay. We're hurrying. I'll call you back. I can run faster if I'm not talking.”

“Are both phones on speaker Tracy?” I asked when she called me back. “What I am about to share here I am sharing in my official capacity as Grand Master. That means nobody hears what we say here without my express permission. Tracy that means no sharing of this with the gang. The only person who might call seeking information will be Leslie and I am only letting her know because Dylan will be needing help. Donat will explain what happened because I was a little caught up in things.”

“The full overhead strike with the gladius while you were holding your shield and heavy mace?” Brother Michael asked when Donat had described what happened. “You turned so you shield was facing him and still had the mace in hand. He was attacking from the front? Rohan he intended to kill you. First blood becomes last blood.”

“I hope you left him a little alive so your housekeeper can finish him off.” Tracy said. “Oh wait this is Rohan. Are your wounds more severe than his?”

“She knows you so well.” Donat said with a laugh. “Rohan is unscathed. He won first blood against Maciej. Then he broke some ribs and the jaw of the other fellow.”

“Brother Michael I dropped the mace and body slammed him with the shield.” I explained. “Then I used an uppercut to end it. Dylan knows. There was no way to keep him from hearing the comments or to stop the others from making them. He picked up on the mood right away. Tracy I gave him a little too much vodka at lunch. Dariusz and Alida are with him now. Something else has come up but I will need more details before we talk. I was going to speak with Donat about it now but I think I will have to get Dylan home. Tomorrow I have plans that I can't change.”

“Place Maciej in charge of the chapter house and take Donat and a Hospitaller home with you.” Waldemar said. “That way you will have somebody to help with Dylan who knows how to treat this and you can have your meeting.”

“Tracy the chapter house can manage for a night without Donat.” Brother Michael assured her. “Knowing how Emily decorates for Rohan I am certain Donat won't feel he is roughing it. I'm sure Donat won't mind a break from the chapter house.”

“Definitely not.” Donat said. “I'll go arrange it right away.”

“There's plenty of room in my car and I will be back for sunrise meditations so I'll bring you back.” I said as Donat got up from behind his desk. “Do you want the pleasure of promoting Maciej this time? Blame me if you must. I was almost certain you were going to. Thanks for the suggestions guys. What's a good time to call you tonight? I'll text you if I'm busy with Dylan and cannot talk.”

Natalia bless her told me my timing was perfect and she'd be delighted to cook for two more. I asked her to use my kitchen because I might need to do some cooking with Dylan. He's fine now but later he will be feeling pretty bad. I promised to explain more when we got home. Then I made my way over to the cottage.

“Nice cake.” I complimented them. “There's four of us. Dylan we have two guests. Donat and Kasper are joining us. Kasper is a Hospitaller. Come in. Here they are. Glad you joined us because eating in the car will be impossible. I'm really sorry I cannot explain now but as soon as I can I will explain what's going on Dylan. You'll have to have faith I won't deliberately cause you pain or keep you from Dariusz without a very good reason.”

Dylan grinned later when I told everybody to hold on tight. Donat surprised us by saying it was the most fun he'd had in a car in a long time. Kasper offered to have a few nuns take him for a drive one day soon. Dylan grinned and gave Kasper a high-five.

“Hello Natalia.” Dylan said when we entered the house. “Yes I could do with a hug. We had a great day. Dad won his first blood fight against Maciej with the mace. Then he beat the guy who tried to kill him. Oh my god! Somebody tried to kill my dad. I knew when I saw the look in his eyes. The others told me he would have killed Dad. Why? Rohan constantly does good things. He helps kids. He helps the farmers. He even helps people who hurt other people. What would I have done without Dad?”

Natalia held a sobbing Dylan close. I texted “Medical emergency” to Leslie. Seconds later my phone was ringing. I stepped out of the room while Kasper took Dylan into his arms and offered him a glass of water with a tincture. He was speaking soothingly to Dylan and holding him close as he got Dylan to drink.

“We're both all right physically Leslie.” I said quickly. “Dylan needs chat with you in a few minutes. Apart from his mom and J nobody else is to know. I'd rather spare them but you can all sit down together the moment we step off the plane. Tracy knows because it involves church business. Speaking of church I'm going to have Donat, head of the chapter house, tell you what happened. Donat you can tell Leslie anything you feel she needs to know. Anything at all.”

“Halo Leslie.” Donat said. “I think Dylan will be fine. He is a strong boy inside which is where this hurts. A monk tried to kill Rohan today at the end of his first blood bout. No not the one he defeated. This was another monk. Rohan fought with a heavy mace and I think he hoped it had tired Rohan. He was wrong. Rohan is unhurt. The other monk has broken ribs and a broken jaw. Nothing serious because Rohan wouldn't do that.

Tracy, Brother Michael, Waldemar and the head of the chapter house know because the monk was living there. Rohan has given them special permission to talk with you. I have a healer looking after Dylan know. Kasper knows this is shock. We were glad we got home before it hit. Speak to Tracy and Brother Michael then call us back. That will give the herbs time to work. I am glad to help and glad to escape the party Rohan has going at the chapter house but we can chat about that another day.”

I was holding Dylan on my lap when Donat returned. Dylan was quietening down as the herbs kicked in. Kasper was giving Natalia a hand in the kitchen. Donat was happy to help himself to a beer. When I mentioned Leslie was calling a few minutes later Dylan perked up.

“This isn't coincidence is it?” Dylan said and then he paused. “Dad you knew this might happen but didn't want to bring it on by saying anything. That's why you let me get a little drunk. Dad I'm not the one who almost got killed. You should get drunk and talk to Leslie. Better talk to her before you get drunk.”

“This is the third time somebody has tried to kill.” I said calmly. “After the second time it gets boring.”

“Dad this is serious. What would we have done without you?” Dylan said. “I know you say you weren't in any real danger but he was swinging a sword at your head. Hard.”

“Dylan if it helps any Brother Michael told me your dad wasn't in any real danger.” Leslie said when Donat answered her Skype call. “Yes it looks dangerous to you now but when you've trained for five years with Brother Michael then you will be safe if it happened to you. This is why Rohan has so many people working with you. Lao, Catherine, Brother Michael, Petersen, Charles and who knows how many other people are all being used to make you fitter, stronger, quicker and tougher than most of the people who might want to hurt you.

Think of it this way. People point a gun at cops but their training keeps them safe. They know there is a chance they can get hurt but they don't feel as if they are in danger. Yes it is scary and frightening to the family. That's because they don't have the same confidence in the training.

What you saw today was frightening and your dad is more concerned about what you are going through than he is about himself. He'll talk to me when we finish or I'll get his housekeeper to call him. He would do anything to have you not see him in such danger. Rohan knew you might go into shock and did everything he could to make certain you had help on hand. Yes that's why he wouldn't leave you with Dariusz. That wouldn't have been fair to Dariusz or helped you.

Now have you drunk the herbs Kasper wants you to drink? Is that the rest of it in that glass next to you? Then bring them with you to the bedroom and we'll chat. I'll get Ivan to bring me some coffee while you get settled.”

“Leslie's seen us kiss plenty of times Scoundrel.” Dylan said as I set him down in the armchair. “Thank you for doing your best to make this situation better. Now let Leslie work her magic on me. The sooner she gets done with me the sooner she gets to work with you. And we get dinner. I'm suddenly ravenous. Don't worry these herbs kick like a mule. This is one natural remedy that could make a man very rich.”

Kasper told me the hunger was a good sign and meant the herbs were kicking in. Dylan would stay awake long enough to eat but would later feel very drowsy and fall asleep. The herbs relax the body which helps the body let go of the physical symptoms of shock like shaking or crying or shivering Kasper explained. He definitely approved of Dylan talking it through with Leslie. The herbs would stop the emotions from overwhelming him. Kasper told me I'd done everything possible to hep Dylan through this trauma.

“That doesn't help you feel a lot better I know.” Donat said. “This is when you have to trust Dylan needed to witness this for a very good reason. He saw you extend mercy and kindness to a man who was trying to kill you. You extended this kindness while under attack. You weren't kind after it when you were safe. Rohan every member of the Order who witnessed it was humbled. We cannot imagine what inspiration could get us to such a point.”

“Genta.” I said. “A very wise old man who taught me to believe in the God-like purity of every man, woman and child. He told me when I couldn't see it in a man I wasn't looking hard enough. Today it was very hard to see it. I don't think I saw it but I couldn't extinguish it. My trust in Genta is absolute so I trust it is still within that troubled monk.”

“That's why you would like me to bear witness to his story.” Donat said. “You hope to learn how it got covered up and how we can reconnect this man with this innate goodness.”

“Yes but first we must just listen to the story with no agenda.” I said. “Donat it is not easy to listen without judging. Especially when you have seen the man do something like try to kill another man. This will be good for you as well.”

“Do you have any more of those herbs?” Natalia asked suddenly. “I am standing here listening to you talking about a man really trying to kill Rohan and I'm just cooking a meal like it is a perfectly ordinary day. Am I in shock?”

“No, Natalia, you are doing just fine.” I said. “We need you to show us that all is well in the world now. The man attacked me hours ago. Nobody is attacking me now. Now we are preparing for dinner. I'll give you a beer if you like. You don't need any herbs Natalia. Your day has been ordinary. Perfectly ordinary so please stay happy and enjoy cooking us a meal. Dylan is ravenous so I'll make him a sandwich to tide him over while I talk to Leslie. Of course I need to taste one and see if it is good enough for him. So we'll make three sandwiches. Two for him and one for me to test. What now?”

“Excuse me, Sir, but your computer is showing an incoming call from er the British Hooligans.” Kasper said. “Yes Sir I'll answer the call for you.”

“Hello Garth listen up.” I said quickly. “I need you call to Tracy in two minutes. Not three minutes. Not four minutes. Precisely two minutes. Tell her it's about the incident. I'd like you to chat with Dylan. Donat please send Tracy a text from my phone telling her to share the incident with Garth and Christopher. Garth far too many people are learning about this but I have to help Dylan. We can chat about the other stuff later.”

“Of course, Rohan. Are you okay?” a startled Garth asked. “Call you right back. Don't go anywhere.”

“You look better.” I said when Dylan returned to the living room. “Here's a couple of sandwiches for you. The British hooligans will be calling back soon. Please tell them I'll chat with them when I've finished chatting to Leslie. They know of the incident so feel free to chat with them if you want. Yes Dylan I'm going to have everybody I can think of chat with you. I'm going to make certain you drink every vile potion Kasper recommends. I'm going to do chi healing on you until you glow in the dark. When I kiss you goodnight it will be right after we've made love. Doped up, awake or asleep won't matter to me. Your ass will be mine at some point tonight.”

Leslie told me she treated Dylan as if he was suffering from post traumatic stress disorder. I thanked her for all her help. Dylan will share what he wants with me so you don't need to worry about explaining every step of the treatment I told her. Our chat was quite brief.

“There's no way for me to convince you I'm fine, Leslie.” I said calmly. “You might choose to believe I am burying my hurt beneath my concern for Dylan regardless of what I say. How do I shrug it off so easily? The second attempt on my life took place when I was homeless. A group of several people tried to rape and rob me. The first guy to reach me died a very messy death. The others lost interest pretty quickly. Anyway the next day I was browsing some used books and I found a book of poetry. There was a poem that has stayed with me and helps me through these little incidents:

When the blood dries and the dust settles \ Do not look at the world as less beautiful \ Simply because there are those \ Who see you with eyes that do not love.

I started to take my martial training very seriously after the second attempt on my life. No, I wasn't afraid of being hurt. I hoped to learn enough to defend myself against several attackers without having to take a life. You could describe my martial path as the way of Genta. Yes the staff technique is one of the things I picked up. A kind, short Japanese man saw me practicing in the fields. We chatted and when I explained my purpose he taught me the pattern. Lao will help me refine it a bit.

Today I was able to defend myself without taking a life. That alone makes me feel better about the incident. I am not at the point where I can handle every situation without violence. What I can do is use less force with each incident. We'll be home Monday morning. You, Sophie and J can fetch us from the airport. We'll have a chat before we join the rest of the gang. That's a mere three or four days from now. Oh, Garth just called and I had him speak to Tracy about the incident. He might be chatting with Dylan but you can chat with him about it. Garth has counseled a few monks who have had to defend themselves in a life or death situation. I think he's volunteered to help treat British soldiers as well.

Thank you so much for all the help you gave Dylan. Now we are going to enjoy a dinner, some cartoons and sex. Leslie I don't mind if he sleeps through it. Tonight I'm just slaking some primal urges. Now I really must go. I have a surprise to arrange for tomorrow. Promise not to tell anybody? Kazimierz is uncomfortable driving my Audi so I thought of getting another less powerful model. I'll have Emily drive us in to town and if she likes the car I'll let her borrow it while I'm away. That way she won't have to pay to rent a car when they take Tomek camping. The boys will be getting licenses soon so having two cars when we visit will be good. Dylan can use one to visit Dariusz while I visit the farm.”

“Rohan you are just buying it to make Kazimierz feel better.” Leslie said. “I know it. You know it. I think it is very kind of you.”

My call to the car salesman was short. The two vehicles were waiting for me. Both of them had all the bells and whistles available. He'd even called a local shop to make certain they had a nicer sound system to replace the one in the car.

“Need a hand Natalia?” I asked when I joined the others. “Another beer I can do. Where's the scurvy knave? Yes doing the evening round with Kazimierz will be good for him. Did they take a beer with them? Good. I'm glad he chatted with Garth. Thanks for telling me Donat. Natalia do I have a little time before dinner to chat with the Brits or shall I call them after dinner? Okay I'll call them now and get it done.”

“We'll keep this short tonight and speak at greater length tomorrow.” Garth said on speakerphone. “Leslie is chatting to Christopher as we speak. Stephen was not happy we didn't wake him the moment you thought something was amiss. Yes he'll get over it. Belinda will talk sense into him before you return. The America embezzlers had a sizable network established. They sent relatives out to different parts of the world to set up a duplicate of their operation on five continents. No they didn't tell us. We found the link to Poland and decided to check how many relatives each of them had in the Order. Then William placed some test calls. He pretended he was a monk in need of maintenance supplies. When he got the funds not available line he dug deeper.

All the heads of each continent are most grateful and will send you a thank you gift. They also appreciate your willingness to let them handle the matter on their own with the help of Tim, William and their crew of sleuths. The auditing firm has recommended firms on other continents. Your willingness to stay out of things will gain you a lot of favor. Donat we are keeping our esteemed GM out of things because we want to administer more than a slap on the wrist and we're scared Rohan will be hugging and kissing them. You saw what he did today. Rohan I'd have killed the guy, apologized to his corpse and officiated at his funeral all without a single regret and I'm not Dylan's dad. This is me calmed down. Christopher took me to the dungeon for an hour. Fine I'll call Lao and ask about the inner smile meditation. See Donat what his idea of penance is?”

“Dylan you are welcome to listen to any conversation unless I tell you I need privacy.” I said pulling him down on my lap. “This fire-spitting monk was just giving me a brief update. We'll speak tomorrow evening about it in greater detail. I hope you will be up to spending the night with Dariusz. Send him a text and tell him you're doing good and will chat to him after dinner. Now for the really important stuff. How's Lance? Yes, I'd love to chat if you can tear him away from Leanne. The boy is always hanging out with pretty wenches.”

“Rohan did you just call me a wench?” Leanne asked leading Lance into the room.

“The loveliest of wenches.” Dylan said. “Lance looks very smart today? Did you speak to Lawrence?”

“Yes and Nancy took me shopping.” Lance said. “I can't show you all my clothes because Nancy packed them in my case. We go to Scotland tomorrow. I will miss Leanne. She says I helped enough saying goodbye to people I earned two cans of hot chocolate. Rohan what's an allowance? No I've never had one or pocket-money either. Okay. I will let Garth show me later.”

“I heard Rohan and will set a fair amount.” Garth said coming back to hand out mugs of chocolate. “They catch a nine o'clock train. I'll make certain they give you a quick call from the manor. You're as bad as Nancy when it comes to the boy. She bought him a hat.”

“And tea and cakes and lunch. I got to use my pass thing a lot on the buses.” Lance added. “Thank you Rohan. Sitting at the top of the bus was cool Dylan. I'll take you for a ride when you visit. You can look down on the other cars.”

“They're called double-decker buses Lance.” Leanne said. “Yes, it's a big word. We'll add it to you list of words.”

“Garth taught me a trick.” Lance explained. “I keep a card with big words in my pocket as a reminder. Dylan the herbs are helping me sleep. Christopher bought me some vanilla honey to take with to Scotland. They are packing some herbs for me with a note for Nancy about what I need to drink. My date with Dr. Everett was great. She took me to a tea house and taught me some eti... some manners. I don't want to upset Charles. He's being very nice.”

“You let me know if Charles is naughty and I'll spank him for you.” I said. “Huh, I have a big sword of my own.”

“Charles will spoil you rotten.” Dylan said. “Don't worry about upsetting him. Ask him questions. He won't mind explaining things to you. Did the doctors check you again?”

“Yes before my date.” Lance said. “They told me I was doing fine. They took some blood. That hurt a bit. I got a chocolate for being good.”

“And brave.” Leanne said. “I'm going to miss my assistant. No Garth I'm not lazy and worried about the extra work. You'll get your ears boxed when we end this call. Dylan you're too young to see such a thing.”

“Take lots of pictures with your phone Lance.” Dylan said. “You have a lot of friends who want to see what you are up to. Tim can teach you how to put them on the internet so we can all see them.”

“Time for you to take a bath young man.” Garth said. “Say goodbye to our friends.”

“Good bye Lance.” I said.

He giggled when I blew him a kiss. Then I had to blow Leanne a kiss.

“That was just what I needed.” Dylan said when the call ended. “More herbs Kasper? Are you in cohorts with Rohan and drugging me so he can have his way with me later? I don't mind. I just want to make certain Rohan knows what's expected of him in this plot. Now who was Garth worried you'd hug and kiss?”

Natalia chose that moment to tell us dinner was ready so over dinner I told Dylan about our enterprising embezzlers. Dylan told us Tim would be having way too much fun. He told us Tim loved cyber-sleuthing. The herbs Kasper had given Dylan were doing a great job. We had a very pleasant dinner together. Dylan teased Kazimierz about the surprise I had planned for tomorrow. Kazimierz admitted he was trying not to think of it. He told Donat I usually spent too much money on things for him to use. Donat told him he knew exactly what Kazimierz meant. This led to a recounting of the maintenance work at the chapter house. Dylan didn't help by saying it had all cost a measly $30 000. The scurvy knave got me to admit I was spending more than that on my surprise tomorrow. Kazimierz switched from beer to vodka at this point.

“Let's take a little break before dessert.” I suggested. “Dylan you have two calls to make. One to your Mom and one to Dariusz. Call your mom first.”

Dylan told me making him call before he had dessert was a clever tactic to help keep the calls short. He laughed when I said I was a trifle fond of my desserts and wanted to keep the wait short as well. I insisted on washing the dishes by hand. The soapy water felt good and the simple task of washing dishes allowed me to use the mantras to settle myself. Natalia dried and Kazimierz put the dishes away. All too soon we finished. I found a travel show for us to watch while we waited for Dylan.

“Good timing Dad.” Dylan complimented me. “Leslie was chatting with Sophie and J when I called. Mom surprised me. She checked that I was okay. Made certain I was taking all the herbal medicines Kasper gave me. She asked me to pass on her thanks to Kasper. Then told me we'd see each other Sunday morning.

Dariusz told me Maciej had called a halt to the party when they poured Karol and Hubert into bed. Then he had all the monks do a thorough cleaning of the place from top to bottom. Then when he was finally satisfied everything gleamed he told them to continue having sex in their rooms. They'll be happy to have you back Donat. Oh, Maciej also had everybody take some herbal potion to ease the hangover tomorrow.”

“Depending on how you look and feel tomorrow I think it might be possible for you to spend the night with Dariusz.” I said. “Dylan that will depend on Kasper. He has work to return to as well. Now how about some Daffy Duck?”

When I returned from showing Donat and Kasper to the guest suite I found a naked Dylan lying on the bed. He had propped himself on a pillow and when I entered he pulled his legs back toward his chest. This left his hole exposed. I also got a good view of his cock and balls as I undressed at the foot of the bed so I could enjoy the view.

“My you really do want me tonight.” Dylan said with a smile as I crawled up the bed and penetrated him before the first kiss. “Unleash the monster, Scoundrel. Split me in fucking two! Go on! Yes just like that.”

I wrapped my arms around him and held Dylan tightly to my chest. My hips were the only part of me moving.

“I'm so sorry you had to go through this Dylan.” I said softly as tears began to flow down my cheeks.

“Dad it's okay.” Dylan said. “At least I'm not stuck in bed. Stuck being bedded is much more fun. Stuck on a stick is fine. That is heavenly. Wow! You beat me to it. Care to beat me?”

“No, not tonight.” I said equally surprised at how quickly I'd cum.

My kind son didn't mind three fingers replacing my cock and my mouth engulfing his cock and balls. He didn't mind howling his pleasure or pumping a load down my throat. We were both happily surprised when his cock didn't deflate completely. The kissing and fondling revived him enough for me to bugger him again. I entered him semi-erect and fucked him to the point of my orgasm. Then I withdrew and fed him my load. Watching him gulped down my cum was amazing. The sight kept me pumping more cum into him. I carried him to the shower.

“Come back here, Scoundrel.” Dylan said when I stood and turned off the water. “There's a cock in need of attention. This is not a two for one night. Hmm, that sort of treatment will require a response of some sort soon. Suck it, Scoundrel. Drink! Swallow your son's seed. Every drop. Fuck it's always so hot to feed my dad cum. You may dry me now Pater.”

The next morning I took some resistance bands downstairs and put my two guests through a strenuous workout. They came through it in surprisingly good shape. I suggested one of them use the upstairs bathroom while the other was showering downstairs. No sense in me showering before I have sex I told Kasper as we headed upstairs.

“Pitter-patter Pater punishing boy-pussy.” Dylan said as I fucked him awake. “Punishing pounding pleasuring Pater properly.”

Mindful of his quick first orgasm I paused for an intermission blow. Then the pounding resumed with me on top locking eyes with my son. Dylan ran his hands over my body. He squeezed my ass. Then he grinned wickedly and spanked my balls. I convulsed in pain, cried out twice and unloaded.

“Yes Dad I got off because I relish the sight of you climaxing in pain.” Dylan admitted. “Little me hurting such a big warrior and giving him pleasure all together is a rush. Then watching you lick me clean. Oh gods it's a shame more boys can't experience this at my age.”

“Thank you, Sir.” Kasper said after knocking lightly on the door. “I'll brew up some tea for Dylan and there is a tincture in some water waiting. We'll be downstairs, Sir.”

“You'll be over my knee if I hear you call me sir once more in my home.” I threatened. “No Dylan that doesn't apply to you so knock off the sirs.”

Since the others were ready I got us on our way the moment Dylan finished his tincture and tea. He was eager to reassure Dariusz. I drove more sedately back to the chapter house. Our early arrival meant we caught Maciej directing some last-minute cleaning.

“Rohan you spent a lot of money on this home so the least we can do is keep it clean.” Maciej said. “Dylan you don't have to help.”

“I know but I get to hold Dariusz' hand if I do.” Dylan said calmly kneeling to wash the floor. “And I'm close enough to kiss him.”

Maciej promised to send Jozef over to find me when it was time for the morning service. Alida was sitting quietly on the deck with a pot of tea next to her.

“Please join me Rohan.” she said. “Grab a mug. There's some tea in the pot. This is such a beautiful piece of land even desolate.”

“Yes it is beautiful here.” I agreed as I poured myself some tea.

“Watching Dariusz work with the earth energy has been a lovely experience.” Alida said. “I am beginning to get a feel for what you wanted. Sometimes I feel as if I ought to be paying you for this time. Don't worry I won't. Even in Holland there are bills to pay.”

“How was Dariusz yesterday when we left?” I asked. “You know I care deeply for him and not just because of this project.”

“I do know and it is amazing.” Alida said. “Some of you is rubbing off on Dariusz already. Yesterday he meditated when you left and then got on with the assignment you'd set him. The shopping list is ready for you. There are some things he needs to see before you buy them. Wood for the benches. Some of the paving stones. I think that's all.”

“Alida would you be so kind as to accept my invitation for a lunch date today?” I asked.

“The price of my acceptance is a kiss.” Alida said leaning in towards me.

“See Dylan even your dad agrees she's pretty.” Dariusz said when they caught us kissing. “Merely payment for a lunch date. Maybe for you Rohan but not for Alida.”

“He's right.” Alida said. “Rohan you are a wonderful man and I wanted to know what a kiss from such a man feels like. When I get the same feeling from another man I kiss I will most likely marry him. Thank you for helping.”

“Now as for you scallywags I may change my mind about taking you to town for a lunch date.” I said as we walked across the yard to the chapel.

“Please don't change your mind.” Dariusz said. “Dylan and I will take you for a lovely walk through the woods if you don't.”

“No promises until after our walk so don't celebrate just yet.” I advised.

“Come on Dad. Getting your hand on our two asses alone will convince you to treat us to a date.” Dylan said. “Never mind all the other fun bits you get to play with. The best part is we must be quick because we have guests for breakfast.”

The walk was lovely. Cupping their bare butts in my hand was enough for me to agree they were going on a lunch date. Sucking cock and nibbling on their balls until they pumped their cum down my throat made me absolutely certain they deserved their treat. The gods knew I'd been treated quite nicely to two treats.

“Donat I have to return these scurvy knaves and the lovely Alida later so we can chat then.” I said as we gathered by the car. “Kasper I'll make certain he takes that tincture regularly. Will you be here this afternoon to examine him? Good because I will only let him stay with your say so. Hop in and hold on tight! You've made me late by insisting on a walk.”

“Actually the walk itself didn't take long.” Dylan pointed out. “Dad you don't want me to let you unjustly accuse the walk do you? That's hardly fair or right. Now if we are to be precise about the delay....”

Gunning the car put a stop to that tirade and any further chatter as I raced home. Kazimierz shook his head as he watched us pull up in a cloud of dust and rattle of stones. Alida didn't hesitate to knock back the vodka Natalia offered her. I was busy preparing breakfast before the last stone had settled. Emily came over to hug and kiss me as I started cooking. When I told her I was okay she just said she was glad and headed back to sit next to Wincenty.

“Here's our agenda as best I can figure it. There might be a change or two.” I said. “Emily will drive us to town in my Audi. Natalia and Kazimierz will follow in their car. I'm having lunch with Alida and these two lovebirds are having a lunch date. They'll have their own table but we'll chaperone them. I can't tell you any more until we get to town. Dariusz needs to go shopping for some supplies and I'd like Kazimierz and Wincenty on hand. We may not find what we are looking for at the garden supply shop.”

“The sooner we get started the sooner I can start my recovery.” Kazimierz said.

Emily was grinning from ear-to-ear at the thought of driving the Audi. Wincenty sat up front with Tomek on his lap. Tomek was just as excited as Emily.

“What do you think of the car?” I asked Emily as we approached the city.

“Rohan it's magnificent.” Emily said. “Drives so smoothly yet it has all this power in reserve. I don't think there's anywhere I couldn't go if I was driving this car.”

Kazimierz groaned when we arrived at the Audi dealership. He bravely followed me with Natalia holding his hand tightly.

“Rohan the big cars are over there.” Kazimierz said pointing to our right. “This is a sensible, practical car even I might drive.”

“Good then go ahead and give it a test drive.” I said. “Natalia go with them and drive it back. I want you both happy with it. What do you think of the color?”

“I love the brown.” Natalia said. “I definitely prefer this to a blue.”

They both agreed it was a lovely car. Kazimierz told me he preferred it to the beast. The salesman was smiling because he knew he had a sale.

“Emily do you think my current Audi would be a good replacement for the cars you rent for your excursions with Wincenty and Tomek?” I asked. “Good. I realized I was not being kind expecting Kazimierz to drive the beast as he calls it. So I am going to buy this wagon. I think it will make it easier for them to get supplies back to the farm. The problem is the beast needs exercise. I'd like Emily to make certain it gets plenty of exercise when I am away.”

Nobody seemed to care that by hugging me so tightly Emily got Tomek to follow her example and wrap his arms around both of us. Then Natalia, Alida, Dariusz and Dylan joined the group hug.

“I'll take that as a yes.” I said when they released me. “When I've signed the paperwork I'll need somebody to drive the new car over to get the sound system replaced. Then they will meet us at the garden supply store. Whoever decides to drive needs to keep in mind they will have to deliver our purchases to the chapter house later. Jozef will show you where to store the stuff.”

Kazimierz took the keys and listened closely to the directions to the shop. I let Emily drive us so she could get used to the beast in city traffic. When I'd paid for the new sound system we headed on to get our gardening supplies. Dariusz confessed he hadn't thought of tools. Dylan came to his aid with the list Sanne had suggested for Fionola's garden. I told Dariusz to think of the land and see which of those tools felt right. There were three he felt he didn't need now. We finished before Kazimierz joined us. The manager promised to help load the car and tell Kazimierz we were at the lumber yard.

Letting his fingers rest lightly on the wood Dariusz strolled around the yard. Whenever he rapped his knuckles on a piece Wincenty helped me load it on our cart. I never questioned any of his choices even though some needed a forklift to lift them. Alida said it was a good thing we had Kazimierz' wagon as well. I wanted to see if we could get it all home on our own but it was good to know they yard would deliver if needed.

Kazimierz was the voice of reason. He pointed out we risked doing a lot of the damage to the car by overloading it and if we couldn't get all of it in we might as well have the truck bring it all out. Natalia suggested we pick up some extra groceries for Dariusz since we had the space. She pointed out he had extra people staying over. When he heard Kazimierz had arranged to have the stone delivered by the garden supply store the manager promised he'd deliver the stone for us as well. No sense in two trucks driving out there when his would have room. I was already paying extra for them to make a special delivery this afternoon so he wouldn't take any more money.

Emily kindly decided to let Tomek's parents have lunch with him today while I had lunch at the restaurant. Dylan laughed when I told the hostess I wanted to see their table from mine. Dariusz pointed out it worked both ways. They had caught us kissing earlier he told the hostess. She decided to put all of us at tables she could watch from up front. Alida laughed at my reaction when Dylan slid the hostess his bank card and told her he was buying us all lunch. Alida kissed Dylan thank you while I was still spluttering and mumbling under my breath about kids with their own businesses being nothing but trouble. I did tell the hostess it was fine with me if they shared a bottle of wine.

We lingered over our meal for so long Emily called to say she was waiting outside the restaurant. Yes it had been wonderful to share experiences with channeling I told her as I climbed into the car. Naturally I'd be teased about this for some time. A good thing Wincenty needed to get back to the farm so they collected the car on the way to the chapter house. Emily asked me to check with the British hooligans how the redecorating was getting on. She'd spoken to the designer who was very happy with the way it looked but she wanted a second opinion. I promised to ask about it and call her later. Another hug and a kiss for letting her use the beast.

When we arrived Maciej was sipping vodka and drooling over the wood Dariusz had chosen. Maciej conceded there might be something to this channeling lark after all. I rushed Dylan off to see Kasper. Then we rounded up some monks and moved the lumber into place. While we had the extra help we took care of the paths. Dylan returned in time to help us finish off the paths. He gladly agreed to help construct the benches. Maciej had his tools out in no time. Alida stayed close at hand to guide Dariusz. Maciej reassured Darius he was in complete control. Alida suggested Dariusz stand in each seating area and sketch the benches. He already knew which piece of wood to use in each area.

I found Donat sitting in the garden and joined him for a while. He told me Tracy had called to check on Dylan and the monk. The obvious problem with getting the injured monk's story was that the man couldn't speak and wouldn't be able to for a while. Donat loved the idea of messaging. He told me with all the money I'd saved them recently he would buy a couple of computers for them to use. In the meantime he would still visit the monk he told me. I made him promise he would only do visit on the days he was not angry or harboring any resentment towards the man. That wasn't the energy I wanted brought into a healing space I explained. This applied to all visitors and the Hospitallers treating him, caring for him or making his medicine. Even if it means bringing in other staff for a while I added. Donat agreed he would make certain they followed my instructions.

“This is for Leslie.” Donat said leading me from his office after we'd had a couple of shots. “You are correct in sensing a conspiracy but it is the least you can do in return for her help. She told me to let you know your other choice was a chat with your housekeeper.”

“Who's looking after the monk?” I asked when Donate led me in to a crowded examination room. “Every Hospitaller you have is here.”

“Almost every one.” Kasper said with a smile. “Garth and Christopher set this up and suggested it would prove useful as a training moment.”

“I'm just here to see the Grand Master naked.” a nun said with a smile. “Are pictures allowed?”

“Dylan has some if you want.” I said calmly starting to strip. “Are we taking blood? Oh they want to compare it to what they took a week ago. The ghouls.”

“I heard that comment.” Garth said. “Don't blame Kasper. We never told him it was a teaching moment for some British Hospitallers as well. Skype video calls are a wonderful teaching aid.”

“You look as good in the flesh as you did in the pictures.” Dr. Everett said. “My compliments to the photographer and your trainer. Go ahead Kasper. We're just here to observe, ogle and tease Rohan. We've never had such a good sport for a GM. Best to make the most of it.”

“When I spoke with the lab they told me it would be expensive but they'd get me the results by the time they closed tomorrow.” Garth said. “When it comes to the GM and his son I chose not to worry about cost.”

“You just couldn't wait to get some new reports to analyze and you have my debit card.” I said as I dressed.

“Why GM you seem to know these two rather well.” Dr. Everett said. “They've been this way since we trained together.”

“I'm going home to cook a small dinner for three so a couple of hours will be fine Garth.” I said. “Glad to hear Lance and Nancy had a nice train ride. Ask them to call me after they've had dinner please. I'd love to chat.”

After my examination I headed out to check on the benches. The first one just needed some finishing but it was stunning. All the pieces were thick and I was glad they had plenty of people to help move it into place. Maciej showed me how the weight of the components held it together without the need for screws or even glue. There were two wedges to hold a cross-brace in place between the two uprights. Darius told me he knew the planting was his work. Dylan told me he'd been cleared by Kasper to spend the night. Alida laughed when I told them about my examination and the stunt Garth had pulled. When I mentioned Leslie had orchestrated it Dylan sighed and told us he wished he was there to thank her.

“You can do that on Sunday.” I said. “Remember we are nine hours ahead out here so while Polish florists are closing the ones back home haven't opened yet. There's plenty of time for you to finish your work, get dinner started and then order some flowers. My housekeeper will be happy to help and Alida is here to offer advice. Her country is known for flowers.”

Kazimierz arrived with the rest of the gardening stuff while we were saying goodbye. I helped him unload and followed him home. Kazimierz and Natalia agreed to keep me company while I cooked and tell me about the new car. They thanked me for understanding but felt bad because I'd had to spend so much more money. When I mentioned how useful a second car would be for the boys and me they felt better. Kazimierz chatted with Garth while I put a tray together for the two of them. Natalia told me they had ice-cream to go with the brownies I'd baked.

“One of your sleuths wants to say a few words.” Christopher said with a smile.

“Hello, my Love.” Tim said. “Remember me? Your husband, life-mate, beloved and better-half? I don't need that much beauty sleep or are you implying something? Actually I would believe you have been busy and these two have told me there was an incident involving Dylan you needed to handle. They won't give me any of the details. Rohan we all have stuff we want to keep private. Are you sure he's okay? That's all I need to know. Please tell him I send best wishes and I'm here if he wants to talk.

You were just going to putter around observing Dariusz and Alida as they worked together and now you tell me in four days this is the first chance you've had for some alone time. You can take care of your needs in Dariusz' bedroom or on a walk but Dylan will spend tomorrow night with Dariusz as well. I'll have breakfast while you have another quiet dinner and we'll spend some quality time together. Yes I'll let the other two say hi but not for long.

Rohan until your embezzlers got to work your Order was a very prosperous organization. Even now it is still doing so well the missing millions were able to go undetected. I'm not certain of the exact figure but we're close to about thirty million in embezzled funds. We'll know more when the auditors get through. They send us account numbers to track down and authenticate. Being a religious organization you get plenty of tax breaks so any account linked to a known tax haven is a red flag.

That takes care of the dull financial side of things. Can I bring in the other two? They want to hear about and see the results of the decorating. We know you have nobody on hand to open the files so Garth is emailing you a link to online copies of the pictures. While you open it up I'll move my laptop downstairs. The gang want to say hello and scold you for not checking in.”

“Leslie it's okay.” I assured her. “We are such a close-knit group there was no other way to explain our silence without lying. I wouldn't want us to ever feel we needed to lie. Thank you for keeping the details private.”

“Rohan we trust Sophie and Leslie when they say Dylan's okay but if it was a traumatic experience for him we're all concerned about you.” my housekeeper said in a much gentler tone than I had expected. “He has you to make sure he gets the best support. You woke Leslie early, mobilized Hospitallers in Poland and England all for Dylan. What did you do for yourself?”

“I bought a new car and treated myself to a dinner with you guys.” I said calmly. “Honestly this incident had a bigger impact on Dylan than it did on me. I'm trained to handle violent situations. Dylan hasn't had that training so he couldn't assess the risk to me. You'll be happy to know I don't have even the slightest scratch. Abby the other guy has a some ribs and a jaw that needs healing but I'm told there are no complications. Dr. Deidre can explain. I broke the jaw about a third of the way from the point of the chin. Lower ribs is all I know. No organs pierced by shards of bone.”

“He'll be fine in about six months.” Dr. Deidre said with a grin.

“Six months. For Rohan to hurt somebody like that the guy was either beating up on a child or trying to kill Rohan.” my housekeeper said. Her guess caused Sophie to gasp. “You're kidding?”

“No you guessed right. This is what we call 'first blood last blood'” I said pouring some more wine. “The first stroke's intended to deliver a mortal blow.”

“Holy crap somebody tried to kill you?” Morgan said. “I don't care if it wasn't a good try. What did he have against you?”

“The man was ill.” I said calmly. “Donat, head of the chapter house, will find out why in time. He's going to use some messenger software to communicate with the guy. Now you know why Dylan was so freaked out.”

“I think Irish coffees are in order.” Adam said. “I know I need one. How did Dylan get over that so soon? Some really strong herbs that kept him doped up to the eyebrows. Do you think Kasper would share it with us? I plan on visiting the apothecary when they open. Irish coffees will do until then.”

“Garth please ask Kasper to share the remedies and their components with Lao and Mu.” I said. “This is strong medicine even if it is just herbs and you will treat it as such.”

“Well since it was just your every day run-of-the-mill attempt to kill my husband I see no reason to panic.” Tim said. “Adam it's a double. I had to check the whiskey was fresh before I put it in the coffee. Contrary to what my mate thinks this is not something to brush aside without a little meltdown. Don't worry my Love we'll be polite and disconnect the call before we curse, rant and weep. Somebody tries to kill you and it rates as not worth mentioning eh? I will prepare a list of things that you will mention to me. Guess what is going at the top of the list?”

“What was he armed with?” Morgan asked sipping his coffee. “A gladius. Hang on Tim is finding us a picture. A rectangular shield. Did you have your axe or heavy mace? Heavy mace. Who were you sparring with? Maciej and his light mace. Chalk one up for the crazies.”

“Rohan if you had struck him with a heavy mace it would have done a lot more damage.” Dr. Deidre said. “Even a gentle tap would have caused considerably more damage than what you've described.”

“You're right. I broke his ribs by slamming into him with my shield and used an uppercut to break his jaw.” I explained. “Adam I had to drop the mace. The weight would have slowed me down. He never thought I'd let go of my weapon so I had time to get inside the swing. He was striking down at my head. Overhead strikes are just stupid.”

“May the next man who tries to kill you be no brighter than this fool.” Tim said raising his glass. We all drank to that. “Abby was making her favorite for breakfast but I think the menu has changed to therapy and a visit to the apothecary. True there's no sense in going hungry now because of something that happened two days ago.”

“No point in starving over unshed blood.” Morgan agreed. “Besides I got a double dose of the good stuff. Rohan please thank the fool for me. Maybe I'll send him a card.”

“And some flowers for the next coffee.” Adam said.

“Are you all done for the moment?” Garth asked calmly. “Yes Rohan I am enjoying observing their reactions. I'm glad you can share this with them and have them take it so well. No doubt your housekeeper will be discussing leashes with Juliet soon.”

“More like manacles and how to secure them to the wall.” my housekeeper said. “A good thing he only keeps the good er medicine for us. True it is the least he can do. Garth we could all do with something a bit lighter. Yes we'd love to see your newly decorated clinic.”

The walls had gone from white to cream but the trim remained a crisp white. Against this color palette the dark wood of the faux columns really popped. All the chairs had arms and looked much more inviting. There were less of them which I thought was good. Instead of being set around the edge of the room they were in small clusters around coffee tables. There were books showing nature scenes, temples and churches, special places from around the world and magazines that continued these themes. The sort of stuff that would lift your spirit and get you thinking of beauty and places that heal. Instead of chairs the kids got to sit on bean bags. The Hospitallers had come up with a mix of entertaining and educational toys. Plants brought both color and life to the place.

“Looks pretty good.” Morgan said. “Tim, I think you, Emily and Tomek did a great job. My only question is the one Rohan would ask. How does it feel when you walk in, Garth?”

“Like I'm entering my home instead of a clinic.” Garth said. “The staff have received nothing but compliments the past two days. They prefer it. Some of the Hospitallers have asked the designer to look at their chapter houses. Morgan in a few months our nice Spartan chapter houses will look more like the cabin or the love nest. We'll be turning people away from the doors who want to join our Order. The monks will go soft.”

“Oh I doubt that.” Tim said finishing his coffee. “Stories of people trying to kill Rohan will keep that from happening. Please tell me you have something else to share? Rohan isn't here so we don't have to eat at the table. Allow us to revel in our freedom for our last few days.”

“We could introduce you to Lance and Nancy if you want.” Christopher said. “They were going to speak with Rohan.”

“Keeping them all to yourself just won't do Pater dear.” Adam said. “I've got a spot wot inside of me and won't stand for such rot. Well my good man you're being as bad as Rohan keeping them from us.”

“Wow! Who are all these people?” Lance asked in surprise.

“Your new friends.” I said. “A few of them aren't there but I think it's good to meet them a little at a time.”

“Nancy we will have to write their names down because I don't think I can remember them all.” Lance said. “Yes Morgan it's a mug of hot chocolate. Charles insisted on sharing his gift with us. Rohan thank you for my pocket-money. I've never been so rich.”

“He spent some of it buying me flowers when we arrived.” Nancy said. “We have a room with a double and a single bed. Griogair said it was no trouble to supervise Tavish and Columba while they carried it to our room. I believe it is the one you and Morgan had Adam.”

“I helped clean the room today.” Lance said. “Fionola says I can help her in her new garden. Dylan reminded me to take some pictures with my phone. Tim he said you can show me how to share them on a computer. I think it's nearly my bedtime though.”

“Tim if you don't mind talking me through it in a couple of hours I'll be able to help Lance tomorrow morning.” Griogair said. “Are you young tykes staying well? Yes we heard some idiot took a swing at Rohan. He was lucky none of us were around or he wouldn't have gotten off so lightly. Rohan I am still more closely linked to my barbarian ancestors than you so I can hurt people without suffering a pulled conscience. I'm not upset he swung at you but rather he did it when Dylan was there to see it. Rank amateur using an overhand stroke.”

“That's what Dad said.” Adam said with a smile. “I love you Griogair. Give Fionola a kiss for me. How did dinner go on Monday?”

“We're very glad you boys stepped in.” Charles said joining the conversation. “I think the wedding will be next summer. They played matchmaker Amanda. Columba has never been happier. Now Rohan perhaps you'd care to explain how I am to cope with all the extra publicity you generated without a secretary?”

“No idea how you'd do it without one.” I answered. “The answer is in the question and so glaringly obvious my sloshed son and his betrothed can tell you.”

“Yes Charles you did walk into it.” Griogair said. “The trouble is not enough hot chocolate. I think Lance can help you drink more every day.”

“I will.” Lance said. “We have a lot. I brought two tins. Maybe Christopher can send us another. I can pay for it now. Why is your son sloshed Rohan? What is sloshed? Drunk.”

“Somebody tried to hurt my dad and I needed some medicine to stop me getting too upset.” Adam said.

“Rohan are you hurt? Oh, then it's all okay.” Lance said. “I was hurt once. Now I'm better. Because I got hurt I ran away. Then the railway man shouted at me and Rohan brought me a pass. Christopher helped me. All you guys helped me. I have lots of new friends and all these nice people looking after me. Do you know I have to climb a small ladder to get into my bed? I think it's taller than me. Anyway getting hurt didn't turn out too bad. Maybe the man trying to hurt Rohan has helped him. You may have to wait a long time before you find out. I had to wait twenty-five days.”

“Lance you're the best.” Adam said. “Nancy give him an extra goodnight kiss from me.”

“And me.” Morgan added. “The boy makes me look as sharp as a rusty plowshare. No wonder Rohan didn't want us to know. He knew how we'd react and the embarrassment would do what the monk couldn't. I'll still go pick up some herbs though. Oops I was about to ask Tracy to call Lao. Rohan you have to stop sending her off. Now I have to dial the number.”

We all wished Nancy and Lance a goodnight. Nancy told him he had time to stop in the kitchen and wash his mug. We heard her telling him he could call and thank Lawrence for his new clothes tomorrow night as they left the room.

“That is one very adorable little boy.” Amanda said.

“There's not much going on at the orphanage.” Charles said. “They're still conducting their investigation. We might not know their findings for another week or ten days. Thanks to the nuns and monks it's getting back to normal. I think we'll travel back with Nancy and Lance so we can visit it.”

“You just want to come over and help Lance finish my hot chocolate.” Christopher teased. “You're welcome anytime. Griogair told us Lance went for a walk with you and Nancy and came back with clean and dry shoes. Care to explain how he managed that trick?”

“He's just so slight he doesn't put any pressure on the ground.” Charles said. “What else? Abby I'm too old to carry young whippersnappers on my shoulder. Don't listen to her Griogair. Even drunk the children don't need to see you kiss me. Rohan I'm glad Kasper will be able to take those stitches out before you go home. I'd hate to think of the scolding you'd get from your housekeeper. You earned more than enough goodwill taking such good care of Dylan for that incident to earn you a scolding.”

“I think we should catch up tomorrow night.” my housekeeper said. “No matter what Rohan says it did affect him. I haven't heard any mention of herbs from Kasper for Rohan. Will somebody please set that right? You have an hour to relax when you've washed your dishes and then you will be going to sleep. I'll expect a call from you to let me know you are turning out the light. Tim also needs to wish you goodnight.”

Tim was glad he got to wish me goodnight. He put me on speakerphone so the others could wish me goodnight as well. The sleep did me a lot of good. I woke refreshed and did a workout before driving over to the chapter house. Alida didn't say a word as she watched me sneak into the kitchen and begin making scones. When I glanced across at her lying under the covers she pointed to a brown paper bag. I nodded and offered her a mug of coffee which she accepted gratefully.

While the scones baked I went to hep the boys wake up. Sliding under the covers I discovered they were both naked. Dylan's first orgasm got him half awake. I left him to nod off again while I got a mouthful of Dariusz' cock. I did nothing to make him think it wasn't Dylan. Taking advantage of them being half asleep I got three loads inside of me. The game was up when Dylan's body bucked and he cried out in pleasure loudly enough to wake Dariusz.

“You make the best alarm clock ever Rohan.” Dariusz said as he peered under the covers. “That's another good reason to marry Dylan.”

“Oops, that's the timer. I must dash. Coffee will be ready in five minutes.” I said from the doorway.

“Dariusz it must be his age.” Dylan explained. “Dad tends to forget the cream goes with the coffee not before it.”

“Maybe whatever it is that smells so delicious will improve his memory.” Dariusz suggested as he started getting dressed. “Come on Dylan before he eats them all.”

“You mean he's not serving me coffee in bed?” Dylan asked. “Life is hard in Poland.”

Alida had kindly taken the scones from the oven. I unpacked the jams from my basket. We were enjoying one when the boys made it through to join us. I was able to explain the gist of my chat with the gang to Dylan. He laughed when I told them Tim had made the Irish coffees with a double shot. Dylan was relieved the gang knew. I told him he was looking forward to the extra kisses. Alida smiled as I apologized to Dariusz for leaving Dylan here another night. Dariusz made me promise to let Dylan spend his last night here as well. Coincidentally that would be tomorrow night.

“Tim is right in saying you need to spend time chatting.” Dylan said. “I'm happy to go for a walk with you to help ease the uh stress and pain of being alone. Dad have you spoken to Alida about changing her flight?”

“Sorry I forgot in all the excitement.” I said. “Thanks for reminding me. Alida it would be easier if we traveled back on the same flight so with your permission I'd like to change your flight. We leave Sunday afternoon at around 3:30 and arrive just after 11 in the morning. Yes, it will mean you have to allow us to move you up to business class at our expense. Wonderful! I thought we'd have to argue about it.”

“All you need to do is change my seat because I was already booked on that flight.” Alida said with a smile. “I'm sure they won't mind you upgrading.”

Dylan showed me how to put a reminder to call in my phone and told me I needed to start making better use of the phone. I promised to have Tim teach me while we were at the love nest. I tossed a scone at Jozef when he came over to let us know the monks were gathering in the chapel. Alida stopped me on my way out and had me take some of my tincture. Kasper had brought it over last night. I pointed out to Dylan I hadn't seen him take any when he stood grinning at me. That got him scurrying away to the kitchen. Medicated we headed off to the chapel.

During breakfast the maintenance monk told me he'd been monitoring the power usage of the chapter house and it had actually dropped with the new furnace and windows in place. Maciej joked I was actually giving another donation because instead of the savings recouping me the cost of my furnace and windows they were going directly into the chapter house budget. I told I didn't mind because after the savings had paid for the initial investment I could claim future savings as a donation without having to fork out cash. Dylan decided he would have to make his donations like this as well. Donat consoled Maciej by saying the accountants would find a way to make certain these savings got put to good use.

I told Donat I didn't want to upset the monk by visiting him so soon after our fight. Instead I sat on the new bench with Dylan and watched Alida work with Dariusz. They were starting to plant some of the flowers. I told our gardeners we were going to bake a cake for tea and would let them know when it was ready. Dylan agreed that frosting had a way of finding its way into every nook and crack er cranny so a shower while the cake baked made perfect sense. The timer will even help us save water by making certain we don't spend too long looking for every speck of frosting Dylan pointed out.

“Getting clean and saving the environment is a great double-team.” I said as we undressed.

“Well, Scoundrel, I can see how licking my hole fits in.” Dylan said leaning against the shower wall. “How does munching on my ass fit in with cleaning or saving the environment?”

“I can't drive and eat ass so less fossil fuel.” I said and smacked his ass. “Don't go there.”

“Where? Oh you mean what to use to fuel a fossil?” Dylan said pressing his ass back against my face. “I'd never be so rude.”

“Damn I hate time restrictions.” I said kissing my way up his back and sliding inside him. “Of course they have their benefits.”

“Glad you've noticed.” Dylan said as I began fucking him. “I love you Dad. So much.”

“I couldn't love another any more than I love you.” I whispered in his ear. “Always remember that. I may love them as much but never more. Sweet Lord but fucking you is such a sweet chore.”

“Hmm, keep it up. The fucking.” Dylan said. “Sometimes gently is nice. You hand feels good on my cock.”

“Room for one more?” Dariusz said as he shed his clothing. “Alida told me if I wasn't in the shower within two minutes she'd get Rohan to spank me. She'll finish off the cake.”

“Ass, Dariusz. Feed me your ass first.” I said pressing Dylan face down on the shower floor.

Easing back on the fucking I pressed my face eagerly against the flesh of his cheeks. Nibbling on the flesh as I made my way to his tight hole. Only when he started begging did I tell Dariusz to turn around. The bobbing of my head matched my thrusts. I picked up the pace at both ends. This time when Dariusz let me know he was about to cum I released him.

“Jerk off into my mouth.” I said eager to see his cock explode.

The boy looked stunning as cum spurted from his cock to land on my extended tongue. Three streams landed before I pulled him inside my mouth. Ignoring his whimpers at the effect of my mouth on his oversensitive cock I held him trapped until Dylan and I had finished unloading.

“Fuck! So that's the bastard Rohan your son was telling me about.” Dariusz said with shaking legs. “Pleased to meat you.”

“A pleasure to eat you as well.” I said. “I mean meet your meat or you. Whatever. Well do you guys think you're getting paid by the hour? Get me soaped, rinsed and dried. I can't believe my son is willing to let Alida finish off his cake.”

They paused in soaping me to push me forward and give me a spanking from either side for my last comments. They saw the truth in my warning that another few swats would lead to more fucking and reluctantly broke off the spanking.

“I'm always getting assaulted at this address Alida.” I said when she mentioned it sounded like I was being naughty again. “Even my son gets transformed into an assailant. Hello Kasper. Here to make certain I take my tincture are you? A good thing you are or I'd have forgotten. Dylan can program a reminder thingy for me in my phone. Join us for some cake.”

A few minutes later Donat joined us. He decided it would be impolite to turn down his superior's offer of cake and tea. While the boys cleared away the dishes Donat opened the laptop he was carrying. He typed for a little then turned the computer toward me.

“Before you answer know that I truly intended to kill you.” monk typed on IM. “I offer no excuse or explanation yet. Will you help me? Please.”

“Yes.” I wrote. “Gladly.”

“Will you tell your son I am sorry he had to see my attack?” monk continued.

“I'm right here – Dylan.” Dylan typed as I motioned him forward. “Right now I cannot say with honesty I forgive you. When I can I will let you know.”

“Thank you for considering it.” monk responded. “Your dad has every reason to be very proud of you.”

“And I of him.” Dylan finished.

“I will share my story with Donat. A very ugly story. Thank you both. I will rest now.” monk ended.

Donat was glad the first steps toward healing had taken place. Alida told me there wasn't much to cook for lunch. I led the boys on a raid of the chapter house kitchen. Distract those guarding the pantry with kisses while I filch some meat I ordered outside the kitchen. The plan worked perfectly. My cohorts kept up the distracting long enough for me to make it all the way back to the cottage before I saw them heading across the yard.

“Does roast chicken for lunch sound good Alida?” I asked holding up my trophy. “Yes I can make chicken and dumplings. Dariusz do you have some white wine? Good I am glad Emily was thoughtful enough to give you a fully stocked wine rack. Tomorrow I'd like your grandparents and their helpers to visit for lunch. Why don't you call them while I get lunch started. Dylan we only have time for a quick bread. Yes I can do an Irish soda bread.”

While the chicken stew cooked we went outside to see what Dariusz had done while we uh er baked the cake. Dariusz told me it felt strange planting flowers in such a wasteland. He shared how he kept reminding himself about the success of Findhorn. What gave him hope was the energy he felt as he built the garden. I told him he wouldn't fail and we'd stick our tongues out at the naysayers. Dariusz pointed out where the fruit trees would be planted later. Right now we were starting with small plants so he could build up to the trees.

“Dylan please call the airline for me while I take care of the dumplings.” I said tossing him my phone. “Go ahead and use speakerphone. Halo I'm Cardinal Rohan and have two seats booked on the 3:25 flight for San Francisco on Sunday. Very good of you to confirm that for me. You also have Alida van den Berg on the flight in economy. Well she kindly agreed to let me bump her up to business class and sit next to us. Can you arrange that for me? No I don't mind moving as long as I get a window seat. Does my son need to give you my card details. Yes go ahead and use some of the miles reward thingy. Now why don't you transfer me to your supervisor so I can tell him how magnificent you are? No trouble.”

When I was about to leave Alida told me she'd been thinking of a way to say thank you to the monks who had been so welcoming and friendly so I couldn't pay her for our wounded monk's channeling. She said she was a curious as the rest of us to see what message she got. Sharing it with others would be the monk's choice. I thanked her. Then I said goodbye to them and drove to Katowice.

I bought some chicken to replace what we'd eaten today and some meat for lunch tomorrow. Alenka was visiting so I had a very pleasant visit. Feliks told me they were also buying chickens from Tim's farm. They were smoking some now and if I waited an hour I could take two home with me. I called Natalia to let her know I'd be bringing a chicken home for them. She told me they were well-stocked on meat. I bought some steaks for lunch tomorrow, lamb chops for my dinner tonight, six chickens to replace the one I filched and some beef ribs for lunch on Sunday.

Before I left Katowice I stopped to pick up some sweet buns. I delivered the chicken. Natalia told me she was glad to hear I'd be chatting with Tim for an hour or two. I did a workout, took a shower and was busy cooking dinner when Tim called.

“Waking up early is fine if I get to lie in bed.” Tim said. “Besides I had to get the hired help up and started on my coffee.”

“Unpaid hired help which hardly makes us hired.” Morgan said bringing Tim a mug of coffee. “Hello Rohan what's for dinner? I'm curious to know what you cook for yourself when you're on your own.”

“Lamb chops, some beets, spinach, roast potatoes, gravy and a side salad.” I said. “Leftover brownies for dessert.”

“Nice.” Morgan said. “We'll leave the two of you alone for now but we'll be back.”

Tim told me our embezzlers had gotten very creative and directed parts of a cent to a separate account. He explained it might not sound like a lot when you calculate interest and end up with six tenths of a cent but multiplied by every account every time the Order earned interest and it accumulated very quickly. Then they even earned interest on it. On the plus side the head of South America had suggested setting up an account just like it that would be a general disaster relief fund available for anybody to use no matter where they were.

“How difficult would it be to convince you to join me on a trip to the Andes?” I asked Tim with a smile.

“Hang on a moment, my Love.” Tim said reaching for his cellphone. “Lawrence how are you? I'm doing very well and about to get terribly excited. Somebody is trying to convince me to go on a trip to the Andes. Now I know they are very high and it's awfully cold. My disdain for cold is well-known. Be nice it isn't world-renowned yet. Anyways the gentleman trying to talk me into a dirty few days away wanted to know how difficult it would be to talk me into going with him. I'd need a durable, warm winter wardrobe for a start. Could you put together something for both of us please? Money is no concern. I'll be spending his. No rush. There's the holidays coming up so I imagine we're not going anywhere until the spring. You're the absolute best. I love you guys. The gentleman in question says hello and sends his love. He's on Skype.”

“I take it that isn't all it will cost me.” I said with a smile. “Obviously you'll need to check the venue. I'm certain you will find the heads of the Order are no less concerned about their comfort than you are.”

“These are people who routinely get up at sunrise to pray.” Tim said. “I'm not taking any chances with such a mob. Now tell me all about your day? Any assaults, attempted assaults or muggings you'd like to share? Remarkable for you to have such a quiet day. I shall mark it on the calendar. You got Alida to join you guys on the flight. That's wonderful. What time do you arrive? Let me guess. Sunrise? Oh you actually listened and made it eleven. Sweetheart if I'm cooking you lunch the choice is strawberry or blackberry jam with your toast. We'll arrange something.”

I laughed when Tim got up to call down for his breakfast. He scolded Adam and Morgan for having to walk the seven paces to the door to call for his breakfast. There was talk of a broken contract. How his feet were not meant to touch the ground before ten in the morning. Several kisses were definitely required to help get his world back in order. Spanking him while the other kissed him was not the sort of kisses needed.

“Don't worry, Tim. The sight of your bare butt being spanked is lovely dinner viewing. Very stimulating of the appetite.” I said. “Thanks guys. Nice to know he is in good hands.”

Lao had decided to include a lot of Tai Chi in our relaxing week away when he heard of the incident. Tracy hadn't needed any dispensation from me to share the details. Tim didn't mind because the chi work was relaxing. Lao was going to set him up with some sequences to practice. Elaine couldn't wait for us to visit again. She was so excited to hear Lao would be joining us it had taken a lot for my housekeeper to stop her from cleaning the love nest on her own.

The plants on the balcony were thriving much to Eddie's delight. Thanks to the software, lists from Sanne and all the monitoring devices it was about as foolproof a system as you could create. Adam and Morgan wanted to visit the cabin for a couple of days because it was nearly time to harvest the vegetables. They wanted to take part in the harvest and show their thanks by cooking a meal. My housekeeper had agreed when Tim told her that would not be included in our week of rest. I was only allowed to supervise. Elaine was going to make certain all I did was supervise.

Patricia was doing great with her studies. A lot had to do with all the practical experience she was getting and the help from Penelope with her assignments. I apologized for interrupting but I'd just received a text from Charles wanting to discuss something urgently.

“Tim it will wait until we finish chatting.” I said. “Charles is an hour behind me and wanted to set it up for after dinner so we have a couple of hours. Tell me about your business with Karol and Hubert.”

“Oh, yes Tim's International Trading Company is such a diversified enterprise.” Tim said making suggestive motions with his breakfast sausage. “I have the organic vegetable farm with the woodworking sideline. The animal farms and the chicken farm. There is the meat shop in Kraków. A business to set up in England. Thank the gods the Order is taking the cellphone network off my hands. I'll be a consultant my Love. That will keep it more like a hobby. But my dear husband had to replace it with some construction work.”

“I warned them you might say no.” I said. “You didn't have to take it on.”

“Are you kidding?” Tim said. “The profits those Poles were talking of rendered Frederick speechless. When somebody who deals with your sort of figures gets rendered speechless it's a pretty good clue to invest. What those dear Poles don't know is Frederick is looking to expand through sub-contractors with them making certain the work is up to high standards. You get a nice discount on a hundred windows but an even better one when you order thousands.”

“You'd make more if you bought a window manufacturing company.” I said with a smile. “Terrence is almost done with his village and flood protection plans. I think it would be nice if he and his cohort of monks and nuns had another project. I'm curious to see how eco-friendly it is possible to make a window.”

“I haven't heard of one. You've got me curious.” Tim said. “A nice donation to the Order is the usual. I may set up a guaranteed percentage of the profits if Mr. McGoo can come up with a worthy public cause as a front. No doubt there have been some companies going out of business or teetering on the brink with the change from the Communist regime. Frederick can play sleuth with Beatka on this project. Regardless of the workload leaving him out of this hunt would be cruel. You don't seem too concerned about my workload.”

“What workload? You'll be lord of an empire you can manage from your bed.” I pointed out. “Other poor souls will be the ones putting their feet on the ground before ten.”

“You have a very good point.” Tim said after giving it some thought. “I'm glad you're getting me started at an early age. I might be starting with England and Poland but there are plenty of other countries in Europe. I'll work my way in from both ends. Maybe meet up in the middle of France. A knighthood by the time I'm thirty is the goal. We must keep an eye open for a castle. I want a proper castle with moat and turrets Scoundrel. Emily will take care of the drafts. Think how much fun Tomek will have decorating a proper castle with a drawbridge. Think of the Halloween parties. Besides a knight has to have a castle. Every boy knows that.”

“Dylan wants you to teach me a few things about my cellphone.” I began but Morgan and Adam rejoined us.

“Sorry, Rohan, your cellphone lesson will have to wait.” Morgan said. “Your housekeeper wants you to relax and we have a show to put on. Feel free to join in on your side when you're ready.”

While the boys disrobed I shed my clothing. Then I went through to the playroom for some lubricant and a vibrator. The wonderful lads put on a great show for me. Tim got another spanking with the boys wielding a hairbrush on either side of him. Tim's wrists were tied together behind his back leaving him entirely at their mercy. He got spanked face down and ass up. Then they rolled him over, slid a pillow beneath him and took turns fucking him. The wonderful lads refused to touch his cock. Morgan emptied himself in Tim then knelt next to Adam and kissed him. Tim exploded during the second fucking. When Adam unloaded both Tim and I were coated in cum.

“If you behave I might just take care of that second hard-on of yours Tim.” Morgan said. “Rohan the herbs we got yesterday have a wonderful side-effect. Extra staying power and a quicker arousal. Lovely blend.”

“How on earth did you get so messy sitting alone in a living room with nothing on Dad?” Adam asked with a smile. “Led astray by naughty pictures on the computer. I'm told it happens. A pure innocent son of the head of a religious order doesn't look at such things.”

“Unless it's to help the non-son he's betrothed to find inspiration.” Morgan added.

“There is that service thing.” Adam said. “Good night Dad. Come along Tim let's get you cleaned up and downstairs. We have a Sunday lunch to plan.”

I loaded my meager dishes in the dishwasher before taking a shower. Tomorrow I'd have some more dishes and run a load. I slipped on some pajamas, grabbed a beer and settled down with a novel while I waited for Charles to call.

“Hello Rohan. Where's Dylan?” Lance asked.

“Hello Lance. He's spending the night with his boyfriend so I could have some time to chat with my mate.” I said. “We had a wonderful chat. How was your gardening today?”

“Lots of fun. I got very dirty though.” Lance admitted. “Nancy says my clothes will get clean in the wash but I might have to spend some money on new ones. I hope Lawrence doesn't mind.”

“Lawrence is very kind and understands how important having fun is.” I assured Lance. “Have the nightmares stopped bothering you as much? I'm glad you're able to sleep all night. The beds are wonderful aren't they? We couldn't get Tim out of bed they were so comfortable. Are you making certain Charles drinks more hot chocolate? You are a good friend.”

“Fionola let me bake some cookies with Charles this afternoon.” Lance said holding one up. “They are Griogair's favorite. I like them a lot. Mary is coming to stay the weekend. Columba thinks she is very pretty and wants to marry her. I think it will be good for him to have a friend to share his home. There no shops to visit or place to see here like in London.”

“Thank you for taking such good care of him Nancy.” I said. “I think I will buy you some flowers. They'll be waiting when you take Lance home or should I have them sent to O'Mally's? I know you don't want an old codger like me having your home address.”

“You already have my new home address.” Nancy said. “That's part of what Charles wants to discuss. This dear old codger has offered me the post of his secretary. The penny dropped with his second cup of hot chocolate. Griogair credits the brandy he added. Yes it's remote but Edinburgh is only a half-hour from here. I can always get an apartment there. I do want a place of my own here and Charles mentioned a cottage you built from straw bales.”

“The one for Elaine.” Charles said. “Adam told me all about it. Do you think she would mind chatting to Nancy about it?”

“I cannot think of why she would mind so I'll send you her email.” I said. “Tell her you got it from me to jog her memory. She was there when we chatted at the cabin. You'll also want to get Lao's contact information. Nancy he will help with the energy and design. Some land is better suited to a single storey. I think that will be the case out there. The land is pretty flat. Give him a kiss and I think Lance will help measure the sight and draw a map for Lao.”

“A kiss and a mug of hot chocolate.” Nancy said kissing him right away.

“Charles he's an abbot so he won't charge you too much.” I said. “Have a word with the designer in London working on the clinic when you are ready to decorate. Now what was the other question or are you going to tell me you plan to buy an orphanage? Charles the only question I have is how much of his life savings is Griogair investing?”

“All of it.” Charles said. “I told him he didn't need to invest anything but he told me he knows I'll take care of him in his dotage. Rohan how did you know?”

“When Clifton got hurt I thought of all the children who had nowhere safe to go.” I explained. “The only reason I didn't open an orphanage was because Lawrence was building one. I'm watching to see how it works out over the next few years. Then I think I'll start one. I saw the pain on your face when we chatted about it this week. The children will be well cared for and it will provide useful training for the Order.”

“There are obviously different legal requirements but I would love to chat with Lawrence about how he set it up.” Charles said. “Would you introduce us? No it doesn't need to be now. I suppose if you can get him to join us you could at least introduce us. Go ahead and call while I kiss Lance goodnight. Yes I am going to try and help make certain your friends are safe and nobody has to run away again. Griogair is giving all the money he has to help your friends. I think he deserves a kiss or two. Three would be even nicer.”

“Goodnight, Lance.” I said as I waited for Lawrence to answer his phone. “Hello, Lawrence, how are you? I was wondering if you had a few minutes for me to introduce you to a very dear friend. We're chatting on Skype if you can join our call. What do I do? Okay. I see you. Right got it. Lawrence this is Charles. Charles the other handsome man in the picture is Richard. Richard is to Lawrence what Griogair is to you. Like I said on the phone this is just to introduce and you can set up a time to chat in greater detail but Charles wants to protect some kids from further abuse and is thinking of buying an orphanage.”

“I made a promise to Richard to take him on a vacation.” Lawrence said with a smile. “Richard would you mind terribly if we vacationed in England and included a little trip to an orphanage? Can you be packed by Sunday? I'll need a couple of days to promote some people and let them know they're in charge for a while. Richard it's hardly proper to kiss me like that on a Skype call. Please excuse him, Charles.”

“I'm sure it's just the excitement of helping the kids that overwhelmed him.” Charles said.

“You're very kind.” Lawrence said. “Rohan where would you recommend I stay? Thank you, Charles, I'd appreciate it if you could get us a room. Mutual friends of Rohan you say. I'd love to gossip about my friend. I'll tell my newly promoted staff I'll be gone for a week so they don't panic but it will most likely be two or three weeks. Yes Rohan I deliberately picked Sunday so I could get to spend time with you. That's why I'm taking the evening flight to London. I'll spend Sunday morning with the kids and join you for lunch.”

“Wow that was quick.” Nancy said when she'd been introduced and told of the plans. “A simple telephone call would have been a smidge cheaper but I'm glad I'll get to meet some friends of Rohan. Yes we'll have a lovely time chatting about Rohan. Many wonderful tea time conversations. You aren't surprised are you Rohan?”

“No I'm not. Charles there is nothing you cannot discuss with Lawrence and Richard.” I said. “That includes Order business. Please let the two British hooligans know for me. Lawrence a Dr. Everett is very impressed with the pictures you took of me and Tim. A long story I'm sure you'll hear over tea so I won't ruin the surprise. Lance is the man to ask.”

“Charles I'll email you the flight details shortly.” Lawrence said. “Rohan I'll remember to mention being a friend of yours if I run into Gregory at the airport. A sniveling hyperactive bundle of irritation is the meanest I've ever heard you describe somebody.”

“Says a lot about Gregory when Rohan gave a kinder description of the monk who tried to kill him.” Charles said.

“Speak to Leslie about it Lawrence if you must know.” I said with a sigh. “Charles the monk is ill and will get better. I have little hope Gregory will evolve out of his sniveling phase in this current lifetime. Now that we've taken care of Nancy's cottage, Richard's holiday and Charles' orphanage I'll bid you lovely people a good night. I'm looking forward to getting home for some rest.”

“Slim chance of that with Lao waiting to pounce on you.” Lawrence said. “Sleep well Rohan. Now Charles if it isn't too late what's this about an attack on Rohan?”

I left them to it and did a little meditating with my nightcap. By ten o'clock I was sound asleep. Chelsea buns I decided when I woke at four the next morning.

“Rohan that isn't fair.” Natalia shouted through the door. “We're trying to sleep and the smell of something delicious is making sleep impossible. No we won't be glad when you're gone. This is the best alarm clock ever.”

“Dariusz said that yesterday but he was the treat.” I said with a laugh. “No need to get dressed I'll just pass them through to you. Good. I'll see you guys this afternoon.”

Before I entered the cottage I poured Alida a mug of coffee from my flask. I set it down next to her with a Chelsea bun on a napkin. Then I set the rest in the kitchen before slipping quietly through to the bedroom. Slowly under the covers. Kissing feet, ankles, calves, knees, thighs and balls. Nibbling on ass. Licking hole. Sucking cock. Swallowing cum. Repeat on son's boyfriend. Repeat on son.

Throwing two naked boys over my shoulder I peered out the door and scurried in to the shower. I buggered my son. Kissed his boyfriend. Kindly allowed them to wash and dry me. While we dressed I mentioned there were Chelsea buns and coffee waiting. Alida had put on a pot of coffee.

“What I don't understand is why Rohan insists on making it so hard for me to remain here when he leaves.” Dariusz said. “You guys get to go with the morning treat maker. Thanks Rohan I'm gad you think I make a great morning treat. These are divine.”

“Speaking of eating we're all set for lunch.” Dylan said. “Well at least we have arranged for our guests to make themselves available but they'll need somebody to fetch them.”

“Alida would you like to fetch our guests?” I asked. “I can fetch them but it would be earlier because I have cooking to do. Thank you.”

“Halo Maciej.” Dariusz said looking past me to the door. “Have a Chelsea bun. We know it's no coincidence you arrived a little early to drag us to the chapel. How do you decided who gets to come call us? You have a schedule set up. I guess it is very important.”

“Dad it won't go well for you at the next election if you ever show up without a treat.” Dylan said. “No you can't feed them Dariusz. Go to plan C.”

Maciej thanked me for the thought. Kasper stopped in to check we had all enjoyed our morning dose of tincture. He bore witness to our enjoyment before we were allowed to make our way to the chapel. Dylan wasn't too surprised to hear Charles was buying the orphanage. He was glad we would enjoy lunch with Lawrence and Richard. When I told him about having a meeting in the Andes and Tim's call for a winter wardrobe Dylan nearly fell off his chair laughing. Maciej decided I was cruel to take a man who thought fifty degrees was a blizzard to the Andes. I agreed with him but couldn't resist such an opportunity.

Dariusz asked if this would be his last chance to work with Alida as we walked to the garden. I told him I was certain they could work for a few hours tomorrow morning. My plan was to cook the ribs overnight in the slow cooker. That would allow me to come over for morning meditations and return to finish the cooking. Emily was happy to come fetch them because it meant driving the beast. My only stipulation was that he spend a couple of hours alone with Dylan before Emily arrived to fetch them.

Alida suggested I take a walk with Dylan or get started on the cake earlier than yesterday because I had lunch to prepare. We took a walk and I fucked Dylan as he braced himself against a tree with his pants around his ankles. I just opened the front of mine. While his dad fucked him Dylan jacked off and offered his seed to the roots of the tree. Then it was back to the cottage so I could get a head start on lunch that might just allow for some head later. Donat stopped in quickly to ask if I would visit the monk after lunch. I promised him an hour of my time from three to four but then I had to get home. Donat accepted my lunch invitation. Dariusz, Maciej, Kasper and Jozef got invited as well.

The moment Alida left I rushed the boys to the shower for a cock and balls double team. Damn my mouth was stuffed and the explosions memorable. Like Dylan I was trying to get as much of Dariusz as I could before we left. I was preparing a cobbler when Alida returned with our guests. Aleksy told me the animals were thriving. He was full of praise for the way things were set up. Even working their share of hours in the farm they all had more free time than they expected. Celestyna told me they even got to go on walks together like when they were courting. She reassured me Dariusz had visited them while we were gone. Simple people ideally suited to the simple life I thought and found such a thought very comforting. Alida told Dylan she loved a car that growled. The beast was promptly named Growler.

Donat told me it was no trouble to drive our guests back to their farm after I'd left. This would give them a longer visit and more time to admire Dariusz' garden. All I did with the monk was sit and hold his hand as I did inner smile meditation. The only message I got from him was a request we do it again. I told him I was leaving tomorrow but would make a point to get in an hour. Donat explained he was new to the meditation but would appreciate the opportunity to practice if the monk didn't mind him taking over from me. The monk didn't mind at all.

I was browning the ribs when Natalia and Kazimierz stopped to check on me. Natalia gave me a hand transferring them from the skillet to the slow cooker. I'd already made the barbecue sauce for her to pour over. Kazimierz added the beer. Then we sat outside to enjoy a drink while watching the sunset. In the last of the light I joined Kazimierz for his evening round of the garden. He smiled when I told him what we'd named the beast. Another beer and they left me on my own.

Adam and Morgan were on either side of Tim for our chat. The three of them made me promise not to tell Adam's dad how many meals they were having away from the table. I agreed it would spare him from getting upset. They nodded when I said it best not take chances with such an old coot's blood pressure. Morgan was glad I understood their kindness. Tim told me Genta would be so proud. Adam mourned that his unrecognized kindness would cost him a reward spanking or two. I told him to trust the Universe wouldn't let such great kindness go unrewarded.

Abby, my housekeeper, Leslie, Sophie, Amanda, J and Dr. Deidre all popped in to say hi and chat briefly. I teased the guys by asking how many times this week they'd had Abby's favorite breakfast.

“Only once.” Morgan said calmly. “Today.”

They were excited to hear of Charles' interest in the orphanage. Tim told me there would be plenty of extra food so no need to worry. Eddie and Jocelyn were going to make lasagnas at the orphanage Sunday morning for the kids and would bring some back to the apartment for our lunch. Leif and Petersen would be joining us for lunch. Bryce was a welcome home gift from Tim to Adam's dad. I understood their desire to keep it a surprise. Yes I was certain he'd like it. Dr. Deidre decided she needed another Irish coffee at this point. Adam asked her to put his “Sex in progress” sign on the door when she left.

Minutes later Adam was happily receiving one of his reward spankings. He suggested I pay attention to how quickly the Universe worked. Tim told Adam there was plenty of evidence in hand that suggested I was paying lots of attention. Morgan added he found it really hot watching me jerk off with and without toys. This time I unloaded first. I idly licked my cum from my fingers while I watched them finish. The sight of me eating my own cum proved too much for Morgan. He threatened me with several special kisses.

“The sex has reached its inevitable conclusion, Sophie.” Adam said in response to a knock and a muffled question I couldn't make out. “Give us three minutes to say bye to Dad and get in the shower.”

“Thanks for joining us my Love.” Tim said. The three of them blew me kisses and hurried to the en suite bathroom. I pulled my clothing closed and a blanket over me.

Sophie and J wanted to check on Dylan. I told them he'd spent two nights with Dariusz and Kasper hadn't called me so I assumed it was going well. His energy felt good when I was around him I added. Sophie thanked me when I let her know we had both programed reminders in our phones to keep us on track with our herbal medicine. I told her it was strange to think I'd have lunch here and a second lunch when I landed. J pointed out they would be nine hours apart. Sophie told me she was buying Tim, Dylan and me lunch on Monday. I told her I'd like to get up to the love nest Tuesday but Wednesday was more realistic. Tracy arrived Monday morning and we'd need to spend some time together. I was also pretty certain Stephen would show up.

The boys returned from their shower wrapped in towels and settled on Sophie and J's laps. Tim kissed Sophie when he learned of our lunch date. They stayed on the line when I saw Charles was calling. Lance wanted to make certain I was getting enough hot chocolate. He was sad to hear I hadn't had any for a few days. Tim made me get up and make myself some while they watched. Sophie suggested I add a reminder in my phone. Tim explained to Lance how he could put one in to remind him to check on me. I told him to start it on Monday because I'd be on a plane tomorrow until after his bedtime. Morgan put a reminder in his phone for Sunday.

“Lao says there is a sliver of hope for you.” Charles said with a smile. “A small sliver is not to be discounted I learned. Yes the dwelling is to be a single storey. Tomorrow Lance is going to draw a map of the land where we want to build the cottage.”

“Charles and Griogair and Nancy and Mary and Columba are going to help.” Lance said counting off the names on his fingers. “I can't keep track of the time in all these places. Rohan is a little ahead. Lao is a lot behind. How do you keep track?”

“I'll show you tomorrow morning.” Griogair promised. “Once you know the trick it is easy.”

“Thank you I will need to know to remind Rohan.” Lance said sipping from a mug that could only hold hot chocolate. “Morgan nobody needs to remind me.”

“That's true.” Nancy said. “Fionola has it waiting when he arrives in the kitchen. Rohan if you served hot chocolate with them Lance would never miss a sunrise meditation.”

I was enjoying the lightheartedness of our conversations today. This got enhanced by Adam contriving to slip out of his towel and off Sophie's lap. He made it even more humorous by grabbing at Tim's towel. J managed to save Tim from sliding to the floor but Adam had his towel in hand. A laughing Sophie tossed Tim Adam's towel while Adam wrapped Tim's towel around his waist. Lance decided it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen. Nancy added it was also the cutest thing she'd ever seen which caused Tim to blush.

Lance's bedtime became the signal for us to end our call. Lawrence had purchased overnight tickets and would arrive Monday. Lance asked what he could buy Lawrence as a thank you for helping with his clothes. I gave him the name of some chocolates. Charles suggested they have Christopher buy them tomorrow and Lance could pay Christopher back. That way they didn't have to worry about the store being closed when they got home. Lance told us he had two homes now. The bed and breakfast and the one in Scotland. He used to have three but Nancy was moving here so it was just two.

Before I turned in I took a shower, grabbed a nightcap and called Beatka. She listened and promised to call me back. There was no diplomatic bag going to London tomorrow but a diplomat was traveling through London to Ireland on vacation and agreed to carry a letter for me if I could get it to him before seven. She asked if I knew of a good hotel for him. He'd intended to arrive in London early enough to leave on a train before nightfall but work had caused him to delay his flight. He'd been caught unprepared. Beatka laughed when I said my letter was going to a bed and breakfast. She was certain he'd allow me to pay for the room in return for playing mailman.

A quick call to Christopher with the man's name got him a room on my tab. I told him I was trying to get a very important letter to them and he was my only chance of it arriving tomorrow. He leaves at seven-thirty so should arrive between nine-thirty or ten I guessed. Christopher told me to give the man his cellphone number and have him call with his flight details. They would arrange for somebody to fetch him from the airport. A quick thanks and I was on the phone to Donat. Yes he knew of a monk who could deliver a letter to Warsaw airport before seven tomorrow night. I thanked him and told him I'd bring it with me in the morning.

Letter, note with Christopher's cellphone number attached to the outside of the envelope, cupcakes and I was out the door at five the next morning. Back inside at 5:01 for travel mug of coffee. Off again to the chapter house. A cupcake and coffee next to Alida. Blowing the sleep from the two boys who still insisted on sleeping naked despite the dangers of the under-the-covers-naked-boy-eating-prowler. Making certain they washed thoroughly in the shower. A cardinal has such a lot to do even before the sun rises I told Alida over a mug of coffee and a cupcake. Dylan and Dariusz smiled at us over their cupcake. Alida winked at them as she promised to make certain I wasn't disturbed on the flight and could get a good rest. I took out my flask to add a dash of Scottish tincture to my coffee.

“No Kasper this isn't the tincture you prescribed.” I agreed. “You weren't aware of all the insolence I was experiencing or you'd have prescribed it. How could you know when even I wasn't aware of it until this morning. Are you our scheduled greeter as well? Then you deserve two cupcakes for doing double duty. Some tincture?”

“Thank you for the offer but I think your need is more pressing.” Kasper said with a smile.

“Are you scurvy knaves paying attention at how politely Kasper is expressing his wisdom?” I asked waving a cupcake at the two boys who were trying not to laugh.

They failed which led to Alida's resistance crumbling. Kasper joined in. I sank my teeth into a third cupcake. On the way to the chapel Alida told us she never knew getting up this early could be so much fun. I let them know I remained unconvinced about the fun aspect. My so much to do speech had as much effect on Kasper as it did on Alida. The speech ended abruptly when he let me know he had a tincture for that as well. Definitely not as pleasant tasting as the one I'd brought with me this morning he agreed. I thanked him but the week vacation when I got home would be enough to ease the workload. Alida suggested taking some with me just in case. Dylan liked my suggestion of having him spank a certain nameless lady in the nearby vicinity of the four of us. Unfortunately for me there was a nun standing nearby for Alida to point to. I gave up at this point and let my Lady take over.

Aware of my time schedule Donat had brought breakfast forward thirty-minutes. I kissed his cheek in gratitude which earned a few whistles and catcalls from other diners. Donat assured me my letter was in an envelope with the official Order seal and address on the outside. Nobody was going to open a letter when the sender was a cardinal and it was in the hands of a diplomat. Time pressure I explained to Dylan when I ended my breakfast after just two helpings.

Tempting as it was to spend my bonus thirty-minutes meditating at the monk's bedside I drew it to a close after an hour. This time had helped me so much. Sharing a meditation and connecting without the judgments or labels or any expectations had proven to be an experience defying description. I felt as if I'd gotten a taste of what Genta had tried to describe to me. Neither of us sharing the meditation were perfect but there was a part of us capable of ignoring our stories and letting go of any hurts to stand in silent acknowledgment of another soul visiting this planet for a time. This acknowledgment was all it needed or desired. When I leaned over to kiss his brow our eyes met and I could see my bewilderment and joy reflected back at me.

“Scoot! Scram! You've got two hours together. Stop wasting time.” I said as I hugged the boys. “Gotta go. See you soon. Come on Growler you lazy oaf. Put some muscle in it!”

Hitting the horn I floored the accelerator and was joyously enjoying a rather exciting ride home. The group at the house had the good sense to watch my arrival from indoors. Horn blaring I slammed on the brakes at the last-minute. The dust was still settling when I entered the house. Emily handed me a beer and took a second from Kazimierz as I downed the first. I tossed her the keys on my way to the kitchen with my second beer in hand.

“Rohan we know you want to cook this meal by yourself but you don't have the time.” Judyta said. “We can peel carrots and potatoes and cut onions. Tomek needs to learn how to make mushy peas. Natalia will warm up the meat in her outdoor oven so it will be close to the table. Kazimierz, Feliks and Wincenty are setting up the tables. Emily is decorating them. Yes she used your debit card for the flowers and other stuff. Go get another beer.”

“He's like this from four in the morning.” Natalia said as she started peeling carrots. “I have no idea where he gets the energy. Maybe the extra six hours in his day will help him sleep well tonight. True Tim gets enough sleep for both of them.”

“The poor boy is most likely so worn out by Rohan he needs to sleep so much.” Emily added. “Rohan when the tables are up they'll call me. I might as well peel a potato or two while I wait. Dice the carrots and onions. Come on we only have two hours. What's for dessert? Apple and blackberry crisp with ice-cream, whipped cream and a chocolate sauce sounds pretty good to me.”

Things went surprisingly smoothly over the next two hours. Tomek sat on the counter with a big pot of peas between his legs and mashed away. Emily took lots of pictures. I drank lots of beer. We prepared lots of food. Lots more than we need Judyta let me know more than once. I was busy preparing whipped cream while finishing the fruit crisps when Dylan tugged on my hand.

“Step away from the kitchen Dad.” Dylan said. “Emily can finish sprinkling that crisp topping on them. Natalia can whip cream just fine. You can add the dusting of cinnamon when we return. I watched for fifteen minutes without you knowing we were here. Emily warned me before we got here but I had to see it to understand. You need to do some grounding. I'm pretty certain some of this is a spillover from your hour with the monk. Dad you were glowing when you left us. Quite a departure it was.”

We stood and looked down at the garden as it stretched away from us. I held Dylan close to my side and grounded us both. You'd never get me to admit it aloud but the boy was right. This was exactly what I needed. Tomek laughed when I scooped him up and kissed him. Leszek got kissed as well. I sprinkled cinnamon on top of some of the whipped cream. The other I left plain. I removed the potatoes and slipped the fruit crisps into the oven.

“So this is what you were up to these last two hours.” Alida said looking at all the food. “Tell me Rohan what is it you have planned for an encore?”

“Encore? You promised me a little nap on the plane.” I protested.

“Good. Glad you are making sense.” Alida said taking my hand and leading me to the table.

The bittersweet energy of leaving friends rose up again. I paid it no mind. We'd be back soon enough. Right now I focused on my last conversation with everybody. While the ladies were setting the crisps on the table I thanked everybody for enriching my life. My Lady sang a Gregorian chant. I sat down quickly and began eating before I got emotional. Our Polish friends told us they could clear up behind us. Alenka wanted another round or two with me. She promised to make certain they did a good job of cleaning the dishes and putting things away. She laughed when Wincenty translated my commented that there were whips in one of the rooms.

“Natalia wants us to stop here on our way back and collect some leftovers.” Donat was telling Dariusz when I stepped over to say my goodbye. “You can wait here or come with for the drive. Whatever you wish. Rohan I might have been mistaken when I said I had a monk to deliver your letter. There seems to be five of us delivering it. A mere three hours each way. No trouble at all. We'll chat soon enough. Pleasant travels Rohan. Many thanks.”

I embraced the other monks quickly. Dariusz promised to keep me posted on the garden at regular intervals. He kissed Dylan tenderly right before we got in the car. Alida kissed Dylan when he insisted Emily drive us to the airport. She reminded me she'd seen my departure from the chapter house.

“Miraculous Rohan.” Alida said. “How you kept the car upright and made it home was nothing less than a miracle. Instead of a swinging a sword the monk only had to give you some car keys and you'd have killed yourself soon enough. Get in! We've got a plane to catch.”

Some pompous clerk tried to lecture me about arriving two hours before the flight departed instead of five minutes. I pulled him toward me by his tie and kissed him soundly.

“Are you finished?” I asked. “We have two more minutes before departure. I think I can squeeze in another kiss. Oh these are our boarding passes. Lovely. Come along guys we don't want to keep them waiting. They seem to be touchy about these things.”

“Yes it's me again.” I said to the stewardess. “Do they put you on my flights to punish you? A pity. I like naughty ladies. No it wasn't church business that delayed me. The man at the counter needed help bringing his lecture to an end. Something about arriving much earlier. I listened closely for fifteen seconds. Then I saw the time and kissed him. How else do you make a man shut up?

I'll kiss you as well if you're not careful. Why do I need to fasten my seat belt? Are you expecting us to crash or bump into another plane? Good then I am perfectly fine. Alida if you prepare for disaster you manifest it. Why do you think I always have condoms on me? No, Dylan, it's not because there are so many pricks in the world. Try again. We have plenty of time. See I survived take off unbuckled. Alida being unbuckled around Dylan saves me so much time.

Here's our refreshments. I'll have two whiskey and sodas. This lad will have one. One more for this brave lady. Thank you. Dylan are you chatting up a handsome lad?”

“No Dad I'm blowing bubbles at him.” Dylan said. “You've been naughty so you don't get to chat with him. Besides it's time for your nap. My dad's so old he forgets when it's time to take a nap. Let me tuck you in Dad. Rest well. Phew finally.”

When I awoke Randal was asleep. Dylan was also resting. Alida had rested a bit but she found sleeping on a plane difficult. She'd get in another nap before we landed she told me. There's not much to do on a plane. I meditated. Napped again. Slid a hand under Dylan's blanket to grope him while pretending we were just snuggling. Drank a couple more drinks. Napped for a third time. Landed quite safely without buckling up. Randal laughed when Dylan told me I couldn't kiss the stewardess thank you. He laughed even louder when Alida swatted my butt.

“I should be known Alida.” I said when the customs guy greeted me with my title and name. “These hallways are too well-traveled by me. Nothing to declare. No illicit drugs or even the legal ones. These two people were kind enough to escort me home. They have nothing to declare either. Thank you it's good to be back.”

“Pleasure to meet you Alida.” Leslie said. “Thank you for helping Dylan with Rohan. I know he's quite a handful on the planes. Yes useful at getting through customs. Your mom and J are waiting in a bar. I figured you and Alida would welcome a drink.”

“What about me?” I asked. “I was the one they kept throwing rules and regulations at. You don't see me telling them not to follow the rules or regulations. Speaking of rules and regulations how did you know about his bar?”

“Stephen suggested it as a good place to chat.” Leslie said.

“Chalky you're still as soothing on the eyes as a steel-wool scourer.” I greeted the bartender.

“Rohan if I'd known I'd get to see your ugly mug today I'd have used that scourer on my eyes.” the African American bartender replied. “Trust me son with Rohan a blindfold isn't kinky it's just good sense. What will you have to drink young sir? I do have that and it is a fine choice but I have something even better. Would you like to try it? Goes very well with soda. Pretty lady in the glare of your beauty Rohan's features are softened enough so he won't scare Medusa's snakes to death. The same as this wise young man it shall be. Where's your plastic Rohan or did you smile at it and cause it to melt? Thank you. Don't worry you're buying those three lovely people their drinks as well.”

“Yes it's good being home.” I declared tossing my wallet at Chalky. “Cash or card it's your call. Whatever it costs this drink is worth it. I see you learned something from me.”

“Huh, I just stay away from the stuff I know you drink.” Chalky said. “Serving this to you will hopefully jog your memory about the good stuff and bring you back into the fold of the righteous. Now go chat with those patient folk.”

Sophie soon had Dylan seated in her lap and her arms wrapped around him. Dylan told her he was just a little sad because he missed Dariusz. He brightened when I reminded him it was only eight o'clock and we could call Dariusz from the apartment in an hour. I'd like to know my letter got there safely.

“Rohan if you are checking on the delivery it's an important letter.” J said with a smile. “Another surprise? Alida there has only been one instance when I can recall Rohan wasn't nice in the months I've been back in his life. That lasted an hour and Rohan still beats himself up over it. You'll be meeting Clifton soon so I can tell you it was when he got badly beaten. Then Rohan extended help to the people who beat Clifton.”

“Never mind me. Alida's spent more than enough time with me.” I said quickly. “What's happening here? Did you guys accept Emily's offer to work for her?”

“Yes we did and you were right about the college students being happy to get some practical experience running a business.” Sophie said. “The twenty percent of the net profits we give the college is nothing in comparison to what we make helping Emily. Dylan her clients are like your dad. They simply cannot imagine the concept of a budget. Yes being around Rohan has been very helpful for us in dealing with these folk. Emily insisted on giving us twenty percent to split between us so on a $20 000 project I make $2 000. Alida that has been the low-end of the scale. Around fifty is the norm. One a month is plenty but we've already done one and got another for next week.”

Leslie watched closely as we chatted and got caught up. We paused between rounds to take our tincture. Dylan told Chalky he really enjoyed the drink and would love another. I asked Alida if she wouldn't mind spending a couple of days with us before we headed to the cabin. She told me her schedule was open after her week with Clifton so starting her work with him two or three days later wouldn't be any trouble. She was looking forward to meeting Lao. I thanked her and offered to put her up in a nice hotel. Leslie let me know that Dr. Deidre had offered her spare room to Alida. J pointed out it was across the street so my reunion with the boys wouldn't keep her awake. Leslie reminded us the gang was waiting for a reunion.

When Chalky brought my wallet and the slip to sign Dylan intercepted it. I told him he could sign. He opened my wallet and took out a $100 which he placed on the little tray. Chalky thanked him profusely. He told me it was criminal such a nice boy spent so much time with a hoodlum like me. That's why I keep a trained therapist close at hand I explained. Chalky told me it was the least I could do. We gathered our bags. Chalky took a hug from Dylan.

“Good seeing you again my friend.” I said hugging Chalky.

“Always good to see you Rohan.” Chalky said when I released him. “Of course I meant it Dylan. Any day I see Rohan my wife becomes a lot prettier. Alida normally she's so ugly she scares the black plague away. The other day she farted while naked and her folds of fat jiggled for an hour.”

Dylan pointed out some of the sights to Alida on the way to the apartment. J suggested leaving her bag in the car for now. When we approached the door to my apartment J took my bag from me. Sophie took Dylan's bag. Dylan wisely told me he'd follow a few steps behind me. Tim launched himself into my arms from an impressive distance. I wasn't sure if the applause was for the leap or the kiss which went on for a few minutes.

“Hello my Love.” Tim said simply before kissing me again.

I carried him further inside the apartment so the others could get around us. Tim warned that letting me put him down so the others could greet me was just a temporary reprieve. Amidst the greetings we got a Skype call from Tracy. She wanted to let me know Lao had us booked for two hours on Tuesday morning. He also wanted a little time with me tomorrow afternoon. Sophie told me they'd have me back at three-thirty so I suggested we meet at four. Tracy promised to ask Lao to arrive a little earlier to meet Alida.

“Thanks Boss. Now I must dash and check that Terrence is asleep.” Tracy said. “That boy would stay up until after midnight and be up at four working on things if I didn't check on him. Adam if I start moving him towards his bed at nine he might actually be asleep at eleven. I'm leaving two nuns in charge of his schedule. Tomorrow a couple of paddles will arrive for them. Rohan you need to have a chat with him. This isn't good for him.”

“Yes Tracy I know it isn't but before I do have the head Hospitaller look at him and run some blood tests.” I said. “I'll chat with him on Friday. No sense in spoiling the nuns' fun. A week won't hurt him too much. Juliet, I have to think of more than just Terrence's well-being. The nuns need some exercise as well. Yes Tracy tomorrow night is British night. I'll cook you whatever you want. Bangers and mash with cauliflower in cheese sauce. Dylan and Alida say mushy peas will be fine even though we had some today. What about some Banoffee pie for dessert or do you want Tipsy? Yes we'll do Tipsy together on Tuesday. Yes we will find a new tipsy ingredient at the liquor store after our session with Lao. Good night.”

“My Love are you spoiling Tracy before me?” Tim asked with a smile. “That's despoiling my Love. True I will have a week with you at the love nest. We have some doctors on hand who are very eager to get their claws into you and Dylan.”

“We'll wait until after lunch.” Dr. Phyllis said. “Rohan I expected you'd be busy so I plan on staying for dinner as well. Yes it just so happens that will give me more time to observe you and Dylan.”

“You might want to chat with Leslie and compare notes.” I suggested. “She's been doing it since she met us at the airport. Leslie you know I don't mind if it's to help Dylan. Uh-oh.”

“How are you?” Belinda said kneeling and hugging Dylan. “You're sure? You aren't just saying that to make me less grumpy with your dad? I haven't decided if I ought to spank him or kiss him.”

“Dad's been so incredible through it all I think you should kiss him, spank him and kiss him again.” Dylan said. “I'm about to call Dariusz. Why don't you go upstairs or to the balcony and call Donat? Ask him about this morning. Before you greet Dad please. I'll let you hug and kiss me again. No not a word to Dad. I'll keep Dariusz on the line until you return or we'll call him tomorrow.”

“Now I'm too curious not to do it.” Belinda said hugging and kissing the scoundrel. “Upstairs in the spare room will be safer. Thank you Tim for letting us use your laptop. Donat has one of his own now. Yes we'll show him how to get Skype running if he needs help. Come along Stephen. Hug and kiss Dylan quickly.”

“I miss you as well Dariusz but this gang also wants to meet you.” Dylan said while I greeted Richard, Lawrence, Eddie and Jocelyn in the kitchen.

J helped us set up a table and transfer the all the different lasagnas to slow cookers to keep warm. We slipped some ready-to-bake garlic bread in the oven. Jocelyn held me close and told me no more murderous attacks allowed. I promised to avoid any more. Before I made it safely out the kitchen Leif and Petersen arrived. They brought blackberry pies for our dessert. Leif told me Eddie was becoming an accomplished baker.

We slipped out to join the chat with Dariusz. Alida was telling Dariusz I was the naughtiest kid on the plane. She told him Belinda was contemplating spanking me so she'd hold off for a bit. Dylan shared how I'd silenced the guy at the counter, debated the metaphysical implications of buckling my safety belt and tried to kiss the stewardess thank you while getting off the plane. Alida did concede she was a very pretty stewardess but not as pretty as my housekeeper who had an arm wrapped around me.

“Thank you, Alida.” my housekeeper said. “Rohan it's good to know you haven't changed a bit. Please don't change even the tiniest bit. Yes your shenanigans are exasperating and try my patience to beyond the limit but that's the Rohan I've grown to love. A few of the others here might also be in love with that same Rohan.”

“Seems there has been a change or it might be a one-off experience.” Belinda said joining us. “I'll need to speak to Lao before I know but for now I'll grant Rohan a temporary reprieve. Now where's my hug and kiss.”

“Belinda you shouldn't make Dariusz see things like that.” I said when she let me free. “The kiss was bad enough without grabbing my butt. I'm glad you think it is worth grabbing. Dariusz has one worth grabbing Dylan tells me. Surely you don't think I'd be so forward?”

“I'll pretend you didn't bother to ask that question.” Belinda said. “Halo Dariusz with the cutest butt in Poland. We all know of Rohan's addiction to cute butts. Thank you for making Dylan so much happier. I was worried he'd become a grouch like his dad. I know it's getting late there so if you don't mind we'll call you tomorrow at around five so we can see your garden. Donat tells me the bench is stunning.”

“You'll get to see the second tomorrow.” Dariusz said. “Maciej is bringing Leszek over to help us build it. I'll make certain it's finished. Are you certain it's no trouble to wake up at eight? I guess we do need some light to see the garden.”

“Don't worry Tim we'll record the chat so you can see it at a decent hour.” Adam said kindly.

“Can we start lunch before we get interrupted again?” I asked when we'd said goodbye to Dariusz. “Instead of worrying about seat belts the airlines ought to pay attention to feeding their starving passengers. What they serve is only a meal if you're younger than five.”

I complimented Eddie and Jocelyn on the lunch. Eddie told me he was doing a lot of work getting the audio set-up at political meetings. Thanks to the college there was more business flowing through the studio. Jocelyn made him blush when she told us he'd cooked her a romantic dinner from scratch including an apple pie for dessert. She promised to drag me to the balcony to look at their crop the moment we finished lunch.

“Tell me Rohan when are you planning on sparring with me? I mean a proper sparring bout.” Belinda asked between courses.

“I suppose you intend to remain seated on my lap until we set a time and a date.” I said with a sigh. “Speak to Tracy when she gets back. Between her and Tim they'll figure something out. Belinda I don't have anything that cannot be shifted around a bit except working with Alida and Clifton.”

“That's good enough for now.” Belinda said. “No, Tim, I haven't spoken to Rohan in a few weeks. We're having a meeting with him this afternoon once the doctors get through with him. Dylan kindly gave permission to share his lab results with the Order for training purposes. Why would we ask you when it's expected that the GM will share all his medical stuff with Order members training to become Hospitallers? No we're not going to revise that now that video calls are reducing your level of privacy. Do you really want to know how many monks and nuns thanked Garth for arranging to get you examined on camera? I thought not.”

Stephen asked Lawrence about his planned trip. Those public appearances with the queen will seem worth it now Leslie predicted. Richard pointed out when the news of the purchase and reasons for it became known lots of orphanages will find themselves being inspected. A lot of good will come out of the initial bad publicity Abby predicted. We agreed with Morgan that Charles would be glad he hired Nancy as his secretary. This led to my upcoming luncheon with the mayor of Sunderland.

“Tim has been so patient and forgiving we are getting his English venture and the cellphone thing sorted before any fancy luncheon.” I said. “You can expect me to be gone for some time when we head to the cabin. I might be back for a day or two but no more en route to England. Then we may need to visit Terrence to get one of Tim's other venture started. No, my Love, I haven't forgotten about Frederick's involvement. Tomorrow I am calling him to make plans to train a replacement while he is in Poland with his family.”

“We're working on getting me a knighthood by the time I turn thirty.” Tim explained. “I'm using Europe as a test subject. Leslie any disaster will be easier to contain if I keep it to Europe before expanding across the globe. Catherine my world order must be the equal of Rohan's empire. I'm having a little trouble convincing him to buy a castle. Think of the fun we could have throwing rocks at each other's fortress?”

“That would be so cool.” Morgan said. “Catapult and trebuchet at one thousand yards with Order members fighting between the castles. I'll help you find a valley with two castles or a castle and a building site. Rohan think of the educational opportunities in building a castle from the ground up? We'll take care of all the details and unleash you to have fun.”

“Dad you have way too much fun wreaking havoc without a full-scale construction project.” Dylan said. “We all want to see you when you've got an entire castle building operation going on. Add Bram to the mix and the results will be truly spectacular.”

“This will be an expensive project so better turn your attention to some more money-making enterprises Rohan.” my housekeeper said with a smile. “I think it will be good for you. Yes boys we can go shopping for castles. Charles will help us. A real earl must know where the castles are. Tracy has plenty on her plate so we'll be in charge of this adventure. The only thing is I don't want to build a castle just to put dents in it.”

“Pumpkins.” Eddie suggested. “They'll look spectacular when they explode against the wall and won't do any damage.”

“Inject them with some food coloring for added effect.” Jocelyn suggested. “This is one project I'm very interested in.”

“We have the coolest dad ever.” Adam declared kissing me. “Thanks Dad.”

“What are the rest of you grinning about?” I asked looking around the table. “Seems you're all okay with me being bullied again. Well it will cost you a slice of blackberry pie with ice-cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. Who's paying the bill?”

“I can't believe you would demand so much from us just for a simple little old castle.” Dylan said taking my bowl. “You guys owe me big time for settling this tab.”

“Think how much fun we can have calling realtors and asking if they have any castles for sale.” Adam said. “We can practice our British accents.”

“That's another monster unleashed.” I said tucking in to my dessert. “Eat up there are doctors waiting to examine us and a meeting to attend.”

“Dad you're the only one still eating.” Adam said. “We're all stuffed.”

Leslie went upstairs with Dylan and the two doctors when I suggested they start with him while I finished my dessert. My housekeeper told Belinda it didn't appear I had changed too much. I chatted with the others about their work. Bryce had returned home for the weekend. Petersen told me he would soon be ready to go back and help Frank in the kitchen. They were waiting for Frank to let them know if he wanted Bryce to be an assistant or continue training until he could run the kitchen. Stephen told me the monks were meeting with some stubborn resistance on the Quest game. I promised to take a look soon.

“Yes you scurvy knaves can play Smurf Racer.” I said as I headed off for my examination.

The spare room became our meeting room. Tim joined us because he was doing the sleuthing. Everybody else present was a member of the Order. First up was a report on the extent of the embezzlement. Tim and William were hacking into the embezzlers' accounts and taking back our money. Some of it was being left in the account as proof of wrong-doing but Stephen thought it best to get most of it back before letting them know we were on to them. The audits had brought a stop to further embezzlement and gave us time to steal back our money. Tim and William took great delight in imaging the howls of frustration as they pounced on each new account the embezzlers tried to shift the money to for safekeeping. They'd move money from one account that was being hacked to a new account and within hours one of our guys would hack it. Stephen apologized to Tim for having to bring their fun to an end soon. Belinda told him it was his own fault for getting the money back so quickly.

Fitness and weapons skills got discussed next. Stephen told me small groups of special fitness and weapons experts were being formed on each continent. A thorough assessment of the fitness of our Members was underway across the globe. Include psychological testing I told them. Obviously the monk who attacked me shouldn't be training with weapons I explained. Belinda made a note to send out an order. She said it really ought to come directly from me.

“I agree.” I said calmly. “There are some things I need to set right and only I have the clout to do it.”

“Holy crap he agrees.” Belinda said startled. “And you were just waiting to chat with us before putting your plan in motion? I love the Andes. Tim the last time I was there was almost five years ago. The morning is so beautiful with the mist and the mountain tops poking through. Yes Rohan there are some very special places up there I'd love to revisit.”

“Good then you can investigate which of them can accommodate a meeting of our bigwigs.” I said calmly. “Every head of a continent plus a few deserving honorary guests will be attending. The meeting will last a week. Tack on two days before we start and two at the end of our conference for socializing. Belinda let me know when you've chosen a venue. My husband will need to stock up on his winter woolies. The middle or latter half of February is when I want to have the meeting. Four months should be enough notice.

Let me know if you run into any resistance and I'll pull rank. Stephen if any of them has more important stuff to do they will be released from the Order so they can attend to it while their replacement attends the conference. Attendance is mandatory. A sudden onset of sickness will be seen as a sign from the Almighty that a change is needed. I've seen what Terrence achieved. The monks working with the farmers near Katowice have worked miracles in creating a thriving little economy. This conglomerate of ours can help a lot of people prosper and live better lives if we don't get lazy. I'll set the pace and if you can't keep up I will find somebody who can.”

Tim updated us on the current status of Mr. McGoo. He then outlined some of the ideas they had for setting up front companies and dealing with the press. When our conference ended every continent head will have all the information they need to get their front company up and running within a month he promised. Mr. McGoo and his staff would be on hand to help if anybody ran into difficulties.

The only other thing I wanted to mention was that regular audits will continue behind the scenes. Detailed reports on the maintenance that got delayed by the embezzlers and what was being done to catch up of necessary projects would be prepared and submitted to me in two months. The next update will be in my hands a month before the conference. During the conference I will be meeting with each of the head guys in person. The welfare of the monks and nuns had become my number one priority. This included comfortable living conditions with plenty of good food. I failed in Poland but I won't let any more monks or nuns down again I promised.

“Dad, you're in trouble again.” Adam said with a huge grin when we joined the others. “Belinda he made Nancy cry. We've been chatting to her because she insisted on waiting. Dad she won't tell us what you did.”

“I wrote her a letter of support.” I said. “Really Belinda that's all I did. Nancy the co-sponsorship falls under support. Well even an old grouch like me can see how much of a bond has formed between her and Lance. I let her know I was aware of it.”

“Stop dancing around and spit it out.” my housekeeper told me.

“Allow me.” Nancy said. “Rohan wrote to tell me he would support me in any way he could if I chose to adopt Lance. He included a lovely letter as a reference and promised to establish a fund with sufficient funds to take care of Lance's needs. I don't think we'll quite need all of the five million you offered though.”

“I didn't want to have to write another letter with a larger amount.” I said quickly. “There's also his college education to consider. The prices they charge are becoming ridiculous.”

“Before you give Rohan too much of a hard time Charles insists on being a sponsor as well.” Nancy said. “Griogair told me even Lance would have trouble getting through five million dollars worth of hot chocolate. I agree Leslie it is unlikely I'll run into any difficulties if Charles comes out in support of me along with a cardinal. Leslie I'd adopt Lance in a heartbeat but I want him to know we will care for him even if he doesn't want me to adopt him. How do I explain that to him?”

“You tell him it is a legal requirement so he can stay with you.” Lawrence said. “You make certain he knows he is free to choose to return to the orphanage or live anywhere else. Then you tell him how happy he would make you if he allowed you to care for and guide him until he is legally able to live on his own. I'll be arriving early tomorrow morning and would gladly sit in on the conversation.”

“I'll be happy to join in on Skype if you want.” Leslie said. “Garth is a very sensible and skilled therapist. You'll be fine though if you just speak from your heart.”

“Rohan I want you to know if all this happiness impacts my secretary's work performance you will pay her unemployment.” Charles said with a smile. “I might even bill you for the cost of the cottage as well. I'd been wondering how to broach this subject since I saw how much these two loved each other. So glad you wrote the note and got blamed for making her cry. Now everybody thinks of you as the softy and not me.”

“Nancy we will all be waiting to hear what happens when you chat.” Tim said. “Why would I be upset about Rohan giving Lance all that money when I'd gladly double it? You better know that I am right behind you in the line to adopt that hot chocolate guzzling scallywag. Rohan hasn't had any hot chocolate. We'll make certain he gets some right after we finish chatting.”

“Thank you, Rohan. We'll never forget this.” Nancy said. “Which one of you lovely ladies is Juliet? I was wondering if you'd allow me to mail the money to you to cover the cost of a thank you spanking for Rohan. Garth suggested it when I asked how I could thank him. He said you'd make certain Rohan got thanked properly.”

“Nancy my fee is the cost of tea with you and Lance when I next visit the U.K.” Juliet said. “Do we have a deal? Good. I'll take care of it this afternoon before we say goodbye to Lawrence. Yes Rohan I'm well aware Lawrence has to leave in an hour. Tim, Adam and Morgan will take you upstairs and get you ready now. They'll clean up and take care of you afterward. Those are details I don't need to know so you boys work it out. Now say good night to Nancy and scoot!”

The boys wasted no time leading me upstairs and getting me naked. Then they disappeared to the bedroom to plan their strategy for the aftermath. I had barely gotten started with my grounding when Juliet returned. The boys joined us seven swats into the warm up. Juliet had asked me to hang some cuffs to grab hold of. She had me leaning slightly forward as she thrashed me. I laughed when she had told it would be a hard, quick spanking so be ready for a fast start. Just like the start to my workouts with Catherine she told me.

“Done with the warm up already?” Morgan asked as they stepped into the room. “Oh, this is it. Better Rohan than me.”

“And me.” Tim added. “That's quite a glow already.”

“No I'm not making this an epic spanking.” Juliet said without missing a beat or her mark. “A good solid thank you though. How does it feel, Rohan?”

“Nice.” I said between smacks. “For a warm up.”

Sliding my hands through the cuffs I let them loop around my biceps and reached up to grab the cuffs close to the ceiling. Then I began to work through every trick I knew to relax. Juliet could be trusted to take care of my end on her end. My breathing matched the timing of the swats. I caught my breath slightly when she moved from warming me to thanking me properly. Clenching and unclenching my cheeks between blows helped me get my breathing synchronized with her strikes.

Swinging the paddle in a circular motion and striking from slightly beneath my cheeks Juliet lifted me up on my toes. The sound of the paddle striking my flesh filled the room. Changing her grip caused the paddle to strike my flesh from all sorts of angles. When she changed her swing as well you couldn't anticipate or brace yourself. I trusted Juliet so it hardly mattered to me.

“Hmm, that feels so good.” I answered Juliet with a smile. “Nancy and I both trust your judgment. Harder or softer is your call.”

Harder was the call but only for a quick flurry of twelve blows. Then Juliet brought me down from the high by gradually reducing the force of the blows. Tim walked around to kiss me through the cool down that left me feeling anything but cool. Juliet told the boys I was all theirs but we only had twenty minutes. She left the room as the boys started shedding their clothes. Well two of them did. Tim merely opened the front of his jeans and fed me his cock.

Morgan slid beneath me and took me in his mouth. Moments after that Adam was fucking me. I went with whatever they had in mind. Sucking and being fucked by young boys was always a good experience no matter what position they wanted me in. Both Tim and Adam climaxed quickly. Morgan slid out to replace Adam and Tim took me into his mouth. Still holding the cuffs I hung silently and swayed back and forth under the pummeling of my ass. Smiling I let my body react to the stimulation Tim and Morgan were providing. My orgasm flowed from me. I let the inner contractions caused by my orgasm milk Morgan. He cried out in pleasure and smacked my ass as he pumped his load into me.

“Are you guys quite finished?” I asked looking back over my shoulder. “Can we move on to the shower? That's if you don't mind.”

“I suppose we'll let you up.” Adam said. “You're sporting a nice glow.”

“Rudolph would be so jealous.” Tim said kissing me and squeezing my tender ass.

The boys rushed the shower because they insisted on applying cream. Morgan ran ahead to let them know we were on our way. I thanked Richard and Lawrence for agreeing to help Charles. Richard told me it was too good an opportunity to gossip about me for them to miss. Lawrence told me to pretend I cared to make it more fun for Richard. I laughed and hugged them both together. Abby was driving them to them to the airport.

“Dylan how's that hot chocolate coming along?” Juliet said. “Don't forget the medicine. Thank you. Now scram. Rohan you are cooking dinner with me. You're all mine and the kitchen is all ours.”

“That second mug is for Juliet not you Dad.” Dylan said.

My housekeeper had already been in a grabbed some snacks for the others. When I saw chicken pieces in the fridge I told Juliet we were doing roast chicken with gravy, mashed potatoes, some corn fritters and sautéed broccoli. Juliet was happy to make crepes with fruit filling for dessert. Dylan had spiked our hot chocolate with a double shot of brandy. Juliet hunted down Dylan to give him another kiss.

Tim was happy to make it an early night. Alida and Dylan were holding up surprisingly well I thought until I learned they had both slipped over to nap at Dr. Deidre's apartment while I had my meeting and thank you spanking. They'd made it back in time to see Richard and Lawrence off. I wanted an early night because Tracy and Brother Michael were getting back early tomorrow. They'd be joining us for breakfast and I wanted to make it special.

“This is really sweet but we can take the wine upstairs.” Tim said as we snuggled on the couch. “You've got to be worn out, my Love. I don't mind us snuggling and sharing a glass here. You know I never had a single night when I was on my own here since we returned.”

“Would you like me to check into a hotel?” I asked with a smile.

“Only if you take me with you.” Tim said kissing me.

I lay on top of him as we made love and told him how much I loved him. Let him know I'd missed him. Told him I was glad to admit I couldn't imagine life without him. Tim lapped it all up like a cat and purred through our orgasms. Going to sleep with him pressed against me was perfect.
