“Bryce's sleeping my Love.” Tim said with a concerned look on his face when I arrived back at the apartment.

“Good.” I said taking a moment to breathe deeply and hug him. “You have some decorating to finish here. I'll take care of things. Juliet and Tracy will stay with me.”

“My Love I want you to keep your housekeeper with you as well.” Tim said. “Please promise me you'll keep her with you.”

“Please Dad.” Adam said. “Dr. Deidre is with Bryce. There's nothing more we can do.”

“Okay.” I promised kissing him.

Thank the gods all we could see of Bryce was his face. The black eye and split lip were enough for me. I kissed his forehead before reaching under the bed and drawing out my heavy mace. My housekeeper's lack of protests spoke volumes to Juliet and Tracy. We stopped for a double shot of brandy before leaving the apartment.

My heavy mace entered Nathaniel's office ahead of me. I stepped through the shattered door and delivered my ultimatum.

“You will pack and be out of this city before I return Saturday morning.” I said very quietly. “Putting two thousand miles between us would be better than one thousand. The next time I see you I will hurt you. Badly. Very, very badly.”

“Who the hell do you think you are barging in here and banishing me?” Nathaniel asked standing up.

“I'm a grown man trying very hard not to throw you through that door.” I said leaning back and driving the mace through his desk.

“What about the gallery?” a startled Nathaniel said. “I have millions tied up in it.”

“Tracy call Frederick.” I said. “Then call Brother Michael and tell him I want some muscle here when Frederick delivers the paperwork to Nathaniel on Friday. I'm buying your business Nathaniel. Frederick will look at your financial records and bring in an appraiser. He'll set a fair price. You'll agree to it. You definitely do not want me at that meeting on Friday.

Tracy tell Frederick our corporate security needs to make this gallery secure and they're already an hour late. I don't want Nathaniel tempted to do something stupid and cause himself very grievous bodily harm. Trust me Nathaniel my housekeeper will only keep you safe for an hour. I'm waiting here until security arrives. Nathaniel you don't need anything but the clothes you're wearing and your car keys. Please see this man out Juliet. Now!”

I told my housekeeper I needed her to take the car to a mattress store and get a futon mattress. She nodded when I told her I was taking Bryce to the cabin. Corporate security will arrive in fifteen minutes Tracy announced. The locks will be replaced within thirty-minutes. A locksmith was on the way.

“Good afternoon Lao.” I said when Tracy handed me her phone. “Please call Dr. Deidre and speak to her about Bryce. Then if you can recommend a healer who doesn't mind spending three or four days at the cabin I would be very grateful. My housekeeper is buying a mattress for the trip. I can fetch the healer when I drop Tracy off with you for her lesson. Tracy needs to stay here. She is sorting out some business stuff.”

The security guard grinned when Tracy told them no matter how hard they hit Nathaniel it would be gentler than me or Juliet. Frederick and the people with Frederick or Tracy are the only ones allowed in here I ordered. Nobody else sets foot inside this gallery without my permission. That includes the police. On the way to the car a hooligan saw my mace.

“Wow!” he said tugging his mom to a stop. “Cool!”

“Do you want to hold it?” I asked kneeling next to him.

“I couldn't lift it.” he said as he held the handle with the head on the ground.

“Yes you can.” I said wrapping my hand around the handle above his and lifting him and the mace off the ground. “See how easy that was. Let's do it again. Once more.”

Then we were off. Juliet glanced at the mattress but never said a word. I gave Dr. Deidre a kiss when I saw she'd slipped a hoodie on Bryce. He hardly stirred when I lifted him from the bed. I was struggling to hold back my tears.

“Sorry about the cake Rohan.” Bryce mumbled as he lay in my arms.

“I'm so sorry about the cake I'm taking you to the cabin for some private baking lessons.” I said kissing his cheek.

My housekeeper wasn't leaving my side. She threw some of her backup clothing and toiletries in a bag while Tracy packed my bag. I waited downstairs with Bryce in my arms and apologized to Tim for leaving him so abruptly. Juliet promised to keep me updated on what had happened at the gallery. One of us will call you from the cabin I promised. The boys grinned when Tracy told them she was considering getting herself a heavy mace because they opened doors so nicely.

“We'll order some pizza on the way.” I said. “That way we can get some for the healer.”

Tracy called to ask the healer what she'd like and placed our order. Fortunately the pizza place was on the way to Lao. I insisted on a pizza for Tracy and Lao because she'd been just as busy as us. I kissed my housekeeper when I saw the thick mattress covered with a pile of blankets and pillows. Lao took one look at me, hugged me and introduced me to Innogen. Tracy promised to explain to Jinsong why I would miss my training sessions this week. I pulled over at the picnic spot just outside town so we could eat our pizza. We ate quickly. Spoke little. Got back on the road in fifteen-minutes.

“Medical emergency.” I said when the policeman stood at the door.

When Innogen showed her nursing ID he offered us an escort. I told him we'd be fine if he could call ahead to warn the other highway patrol officers we were in a rush. When we drove away my housekeeper promised to call his superiors. The entire cabin gang was waiting for us. Marikie, Clifton and Hans had cleaning rags and spray bottle in their hands. Ignoring my housekeeper I placed Bryce in the main bedroom instead of the spare room. Innogen smiled when I told her she could sleep next to Bryce. I told her my housekeeper would get her anything she needed and would be in the spare bedroom.

“He isn't joking when he says Bram can build a small hospital if you need it.” Sanne said. “How can we help you? Hot water just off the boil coming right up. Bram can bring up a folding table. Rohan you are receiving a special Lao massage from Elaine. Then you can do whatever you want.”

“Holy crap! No protests.” a startled Elaine said. “Way worse than I thought Innogen.”

The reality was I needed time to think and chat with my Lady. Tempting as it was to get stuck in right away I knew a little time planning things would save time. Elaine asked no questions but got started straight away on my massage. She smiled when I asked her to bring me some tea on the deck. We both knew Innogen had some nasty mix on hand for me. I smiled when she came out with a flask a minute after I sat down. My housekeeper had brewed it while I got my massage.

“Okay you hard-working hooligans I think you deserve some chocolate cake.” I said stepping inside the cabin a few minutes later.

They cheered. Sanne groaned. Bram laughed. I baked. My housekeeper watched me help with the cleaning while the four cakes cooled. Tracy had called Sanne because there was no time to get the regular cleaners out. My housekeeper told me Bryce was awake while I was frosting the cakes. She had told Innogen about the cake at the orphanage and Bryce's comment. Sweet Tim took a break from decorating to make certain I brewed the tea for Bryce properly.

“A tad better than yours Bryce.” I agreed as we ate our cake and drank our tea in the bedroom. “Tim supervised the pot of tea so you owe him a kiss. I don't mind sitting up here with you. That way I only have to share this cake between us.”

“How's Nathaniel?” Bryce asked.

“Busy packing if he's sensible.” I said. “A heavy mace through the office door and his desk ought to have convinced him to accept my offer. I'm buying his gallery so he can move to the other coast. A coast in Europe would be even better.”

“We can trust you to take the phrase hostile takeover literally.” Bryce said. “Sorry Rohan I'm a little sleepy for some reason.”

“Innogen warned me the herbs would make you drowsy.” I said. “I'll leave the rest of the cake here for safekeeping.”

My housekeeper handed me a bag of vegetables and herbs to use in a soup. A little beef was permissible she told me retrieving it from the fridge. Bram was cooking vegetables in the fire pit and warming up some smoked meat to go with them.

“There's no sense in explaining what's in here Innogen.” I said. “I'd forget most of the stuff you shared within two minutes. Everything goes in. I'll taste it and try to make it somewhat palatable for Bryce. Why don't you make us another pot of tea? Bryce is sleeping and Hans has only had two slices of cake.”

Sanne arrived in time to insist Hans share his slice with Clifton. Marikie shared hers with Sanne. Hans thanked me for trying.

“You're remarkably relaxed Rohan.” Sanne said. “That's usually our cue for concern.”

“My Lady told me to wait until after lunch tomorrow before doing any energy work on Bryce.” I said. “He needs some soup and the medicinal herbs inside of him. Rushing us out here was to get me away from Nathaniel.”

“He carried his heavy mace openly and used it to open the office door.” my housekeeper said. “Then he broke Nathaniel's desk to make him more agreeable to selling Rohan his gallery. The poor man missed all the warning signs but the most obvious ones.”

“I was wondering how long it would be before Lawrence arrived.” Sanne said. “He must feel really bad because he recommended Nathaniel to Tim.”

“I suppose I ought to take him for a walk before we have some tea and cake.” I said with a sigh.

“Rohan I need to see him.” Lawrence protested when I drew him close and hugged him.

“He's sleeping, drinking his herbs and eating his soup.” I said not letting go. “Don't you think the fact I am down here and not in his room doing energy work is reason to listen to me? You know if Tim were here he'd insist you have a cuppa. I'll make you one. There's a hooligan approved chocolate cake to go with it. Lawrence you had to come so you could have a visit with my Lady. Bryce won't be up to seeing anybody tomorrow either.”

“Lawrence I promise we will call you just as soon as Bryce feels ready for guests.” my housekeeper said. “Now take a seat while Rohan makes us a proper cuppa. He even called Tim to learn how to make it properly. Innogen is Bryce's healer and nurse. She'll set these lovely flowers in his room. Lawrence if you see him now you will be even more upset than you are. How will that help Bryce? You can have some tea and cake.”

“Thank you Rohan.” Richard said hugging me from behind. “Did you really call Tim to find out about brewing tea? Oh I bet that made his day.”

“I hope so.” my housekeeper said. “Why do you think he called Lawrence? The gang is as worried as you guys. I don't know all the details. All I know is Rohan had Tracy ask Leslie, Philip and Paul to speak with Bryce. There was some bad chocolate cake served at the orphanage which was unlike Bryce and worried Rohan. The next thing we knew Leslie and Abby arrived with Bryce at the apartment. Dr. Deidre examined him and sat with him until Rohan brought him here. Yes Rohan called Lao to ask if he knew of somebody to nurse Bryce. I'm sure Rohan will let you pay half of Bryce's medical and nursing bill.”

My housekeeper went on to tell them about our visit to the gallery. Lawrence knew of some people in the art world who could help give Frederick a hand determining a fair price. I thought if we could have more than one person appraise the gallery it would help. Somebody from New York would be nice since they would appear more neutral. Let's keep the circumstances from them so they aren't influenced by compassion for Bryce I suggested.

“You've got an hour with Lawrence before dinner.” my housekeeper said taking our cups and plates from us. “We'll wait if you need more time.”

“That's plenty of time.” I said. “We'll be at the jetty. Richard I might have to kiss your young man a couple of times. I'd like to say they are all necessary for his healing but one or two mightn't be.”

“I'll consider them part of your service fee if you promise to bill me the same number of kisses.” Richard said. “Well off you go. I'm starving . Please try not to delay dinner too much. Thanks guys. Now Hans what is this Smurf Racer game you keeping telling me about?”

When we sat down on the edge of the jetty I shared what my Lady had to say. She spoke of seeing the bigger picture of not just this lifetime but beyond it. That sometimes a person would sacrifice their life to set up a chain of events that would only be settled generations down the line. My Lady asked us to accept we couldn't grasp all the possible permutations of what would happen because instead of ripples on the surface of a pond this was more like ripples across a sphere. A sphere that touched another sphere that touched another and another. Bryce would live and even now I was changing. Lawrence would have to grow and make changes if he was to find peace. Lawrence and I chuckled when she explained forcing somebody to choose peace was absurd. In a few minutes I would sing a little and create the space where Lawrence could choose to feel at peace if he wished. My Lady told him I could channel a guy if he felt better about accepting help from a male.

“That's okay I'm already too attracted to Rohan for my own good.” Lawrence said. “Please don't make him even more desirable.”

“Thank you for making me blush Lawrence.” I said. “This seems like the perfect time to do a little singing.”

A wonderful feeling of peacefulness settled over us when I sang. Unsurprisingly my Lady knew of a song that told of a guy who died saving others from a shipwreck. The song continued about events after his death to share how the survivors had helped others. How their children had changed the world. My Lady opened my eyes in a way nobody else had ever done. She made the theoretical knowledge that everything happens for a reason something tangible. This was a big “Aha” moment for me. When the song ended I had to give Lawrence a thank you kiss. He had experienced the same “Aha” moment so he gave me a thank you kiss for my Lady. Lawrence kindly let me give him two more kisses so I could kiss Richard three times. Four times would be one too many I told Lawrence.

“We'll need ten-minutes to get dinner on the table.” my housekeeper said when we returned. “I think it will be fine if you spent a few minutes with him Lawrence.”

“Go ahead.” I said. “Looks like we owe the young man a big thank you.”

“Yes we do.” Lawrence said kissing my housekeeper's cheek. “I also owe this lovely lady a big thank you.”

“I'll keep a lid on it.” Richard assured her. “He can be a lot like Rohan. Now how many kisses do I owe you? Only three?”

“I tried for four but he told me that would be one too many.” Lawrence said from the stairs.

Five-minutes later I let go of Richard. We returned to the kitchen to give the others a hand setting the table. I joined Lawrence in a brandy when he came downstairs. Dinner was a delicious mix of smoked chicken turned into a stew with plenty of vegetables. While Bryce slept I called the gang. Innogen gave them her report first. Dr. Deidre explained it to us in layman's terms. Right now Bryce was being treated for shock. The bruising and fractures would heal if we took care of the shock. There was no sign of concussion and Innogen would keep checking for any indication of a delayed concussion.

“We will chat about what to do in response to Bryce's experience later.” Leslie said. “The simple facts are Nathaniel is a Dom who doesn't respect limits, safe words or a simple no. He beat up Bryce before they got to the bondage part. Thankfully Bryce held off and angered him so much Nathaniel revealed his true self before he had Bryce bound. Juliet some people are more adept of hiding their violent side than others. Bryce listed several signs you taught him to look for and told me he didn't spot any of them. I'll have to chat to him about it some more because he thinks he didn't learn the lesson properly.

He managed to escape and make it back to his room but he passed out for a few hours. Despite his black eye he knew the kids didn't have any cake for tea and went in to make some. A little tricky to read measurements properly with only one eye. Fractured ribs don't help either. Getting anything semi-edible baked in that condition was a miracle. Rohan the boys will bake in your new kitchen for the kids. Juliet told me Petersen would be as angry as her so it was best not to ask him to come and help. They will spread the word through the community to warn others about Nathaniel. Thanks to the internet we can get word out to all states and even other countries.”

“Dad is there anybody we can call if we need help?” Adam asked. “Some chef you trained or think is nearly as good as Petersen.”

“Joseph.” I said without thinking and immediately dropped my head in my hands. “You don't want him in the apartment if you're decorating.”

“Thanks for the warning Dad.” Dylan said with a smile giving Adam and Tim a high-five. “I believe we are going to ignore the warning and have him over on Thursday or Friday. Sanne is visiting on Friday to take care of the plants for your apartment with Lao.”

“We'll call him tomorrow and tell him about our visit for Rohan burgers.” Tracy said with a smile. “I hope you can make it back to join us.”

“We need to return on Sunday because Daizan and Mu are joining us.” I said. “Saturday seems doable as well. I will know more Thursday afternoon. My Lady wants Bryce to spend tonight and tomorrow morning getting herbs and soup inside of him. Then I'll do some energy work.”

“We took some pictures before we put him in bed earlier.” Dr. Deidre said. “I didn't want them to think we were exaggerating if it ever came to court. Between Lao's herbs and your energy work there might only be a slight trace of his beating by the weekend.”

“What's for dessert Hans?” Morgan asked with a grin.

“Elaine made some cobbler and we have ice-cream.” Hans said.

“There's leftover chocolate cake and I'll make some custard to go with it.” I said. “Sanne we can't let the cake get dry on us. I'll bake some fresh cake tomorrow. There's something missing from that dessert.”

“Whipped cream.” Adam said. “There has to be whipped cream with ice-cream and custard and cobbler and chocolate cake.”

“You'll need insulin soon afterward.” Dr. Deidre predicted. “Sounds like an epic dessert but I'll deny ever making that comment.”

Sanne talked me into doing custard and chocolate cake for tea tomorrow afternoon. She seemed suspicious about how readily I agreed. I thought it would be good for her to expect something when I had nothing planned. Lawrence promised Hans he'd join them for tea tomorrow afternoon. When Tim asked if we wanted to see the rooms I told him I'd wait and see it in person with him. The others agreed with him the rooms were looking very good. That was enough for me. Innogen came down and let us know Bryce was awake. He was eating soup. I asked the gang to wait until tomorrow night or Thursday morning before speaking to him.

After our call Innogen checked that Bryce was still awake and I led everybody to the room. We all hugged and kissed him before Clifton led us in chanting the healing mantra. Bryce fell asleep while we were chanting so we brought it to an end. Innogen asked Clifton if he'd teach her the chant. He agreed if she gave him five kisses. I confirmed it was the going rate. Elaine explained my sons charged everybody in kisses and Clifton was learning quickly. Innogen agreed to his price. They agreed to get together before dinner tomorrow. Innogen stayed with Bryce while I saw the others home.

When I returned Innogen was in the kitchen brewing some tea for me and Bryce. I thanked her for her help and agreeing to come out here. She told me Lao had promised it would be a very interesting experience. Innogen laughed when I told her he trusted her to make certain I didn't embarrass him. My housekeeper let Innogen know it would be okay to disturb either of us if she needed help at any time. I would either be on the couch or on the deck if I wasn't out for a walk. Innogen assured me she had my number in her phone. I said goodnight to them before they headed upstairs.

Lao called me early the next morning. I was on the deck meditating but went upstairs to check on Bryce and Innogen. They were both asleep. Lao asked me to check on their chi and insisted I start with Innogen. I mentioned she seemed very healthy but there was the faintest sense of weakness in her throat. Nothing visible so I couldn't be certain. Lao told me that if something hadn't settled in it usually showed up in this fashion. Cinnamon, honey and ginger tea was his prescription. I promised to make some for her.

Before I started with Bryce I did some grounding. A lot of grounding. Even combined with the knowledge my Lady had shared seeing the damage to Bryce shook me. Lao gently guided my focus to the core flow of energy which was strong. Slowly and gently Lao had me send just a trickle to Bryce for three minutes. He asked me to do three minutes every hour. No more until he had checked with Innogen or me. When I opened my eyes Innogen was watching me and smiling. I kissed her nose and told her I got to brew her a tea. She smiled and bet her tea tasted better than mine. Lao laughed when I told her it couldn't taste worse.

I handed her my phone so she could chat with Lao while I put the kettle on. About fifteen-minutes later she came down to the kitchen wrapped in a robe. She thanked me for the tea and asked me to do the energy work I was doing for Bryce on her. When I finished the three minutes she told me we were experimenting and would chat to me about it once her coffee kicked in.

“Coffee is a brilliant idea.” I said. “We need two flasks. Elaine and my housekeeper would like some coffee. Always good to keep the ladies who scold you happy Innogen.”

“Very wise.” Innogen said.

She joined me on my walk to Elaine's cottage when I told her it wasn't far. She checked on Bryce while I slipped in to the spare room and placed the tray on the bedside table for my housekeeper. I was busy cooking sausages when my housekeeper crept up behind me and hugged me. The side of whiskey and whipped cream could only have come from me. Innogen confirmed I'd had my tea. She told my housekeeper I'd made her and Bryce tea before starting the coffee. Clifton beamed when I told him he could chant for Bryce while I finished cooking. Innogen took his hand and led him upstairs. Thirty-minutes later my housekeeper slipped upstairs to fetch Innogen and Clifton.

“I'll join you in three-minutes.” I said heading upstairs to do my bit of energy work. “Innogen will explain.”

The gang called to check on Bryce while we were eating. I made certain to check they were enjoying green smoothies. Thanks to my recipe book they had even been able to spice the greens. Morgan held his plate to the camera to show me his serving of sautéed greens. Tim teased me by saying I was lucky he didn't know the healer was so pretty before I left. My housekeeper told him Innogen slept with Bryce last night. Then she added the going rate for playing chaperone was five kisses per night.

“Morgan please tell your mom I haven't forgotten about our plans and will get hold of some people this morning.” I said. “Honestly it will be good for me to have something to occupy my time this morning. All this waiting and going slow is driving me crazy.”

“The more Rohan has to do the better.” Sanne said. “Then he isn't baking treats for Hans. Well not as many as a bored Rohan.”

I walked the hooligans to the car when it was time for them to leave for school. Sanne suggested we take a quick look at the hydroponics crop. I got the feeling the yield was improving. Sanne explained they were getting a bigger yield because she knew what nutrients to add for best growth. They also had a better idea of how much light they needed from the grow lamps. The next harvest will be in two weeks. I thanked her for her hard work. She thanked me for giving her so much fun.

“Sorry Rohan I can't help you much.” Petersen said when I asked about running a chocolate shop.

“Bad time is it?” I asked knowing he was being evasive. “Why don't you call me back later.”

“Leif it's just Rohan asking me to call him back.” Petersen said. “I meant I couldn’t help him now. You know Rohan he never stops opening businesses. I'll find out more details when I call him back in a couple of hours. I have to finish the monthly reports from the restaurants. The staff need their bonuses.”

“Hand me the phone and I'll find out more about it.” Leif said. “This will save us time later. Hello Rohan what are you up to now? You wouldn't call Petersen just about an art gallery. Oh it's a surprise for me is it? Now I'm really intrigued. Who's that laughing in the background? Your housekeeper, Sanne and a healer. Who's sick? Bryce. I know it's serious if you left Tim alone with the decorating. I've got all morning free while Petersen studies the accounts. Let me put a pot of coffee on.”

“Better add some medicinal Scotch and whipped cream to go with it.” I said giving up. “Please call me back on Skype. There are others who want to join in our chat. You might want to tie Petersen down. I put my heavy mace through a closed office door and a man's desk. Coming to the cabin while he packed seemed like a good idea.”

“I'll call you in fifteen-minutes.” Leif said. “Petersen the accounts will have to wait. We have to have shower sex. Now!”

Innogen came upstairs with me. Bryce was awake and very bored. He asked if I would carry him to the living room so he could at least have people around him. I told him we were having a Skype call with Petersen and Leif soon.

“This is your call.” I said. “Petersen has seen worse but I warn you he is not fond of a Dom who won't take no for an answer. Leif is having a quick shower with him before our chat.”

My wonderful housekeeper had prepared us Irish coffees. I agreed with Innogen that Bryce ought to avoid the whipped cream for a day or two. Black with sugar and a single shot of Scotch is best for him today I decided. When the call alert came through I suggested to everybody we put our mugs down.

“Bryce did you go get religious on us like Rohan?” Leif asked when he saw Bryce.

“Sorry Bryce I couldn't help laughing.” Elaine said. “I'll tell you about it in a bit Innogen. Yes Leif the pretty lady to my right is Innogen the healer.”

“Rohan must have really been pissed if he took his mace for some exercise.” Petersen said. “Obviously somebody beat you up. Leif trying to calm me down can only mean this involves some disrespectful, abusive Dom. I'll take my broadsword out for some exercise. The weather is perfect for it.”

“Please Petersen don't get yourself into trouble.” Bryce said. “He isn't worth it. I'm sure Juliet is taking care of things. Please call her first.”

“Speak to Tracy as well.” my housekeeper said. “She's calling Brother Michael to provide muscle for Frederick when he goes to close the sale of the business. Hopefully Friday. Lawrence is flying out somebody to help appraise the art and set a fair price.”

“Rohan will be more than fair.” Petersen said. “I will act as an agent for Rohan with Frederick. He'll take the deal. A pity Rohan will give him protection.”

“This time he hasn't.” my housekeeper said. “He suggested Nathaniel put thousands of miles between them and to run if he ever saw Rohan again.”

“Really? Glad I made this a double.” Leif said. “Steaming mad wouldn't come close to describing it Innogen. Rohan most likely appeared very calm, quiet and businesslike even when smashing the door and desk. A heavy mace is useful at times. How did you manage to calm down so quickly Rohan? You look almost relaxed.”

“Lawrence needed healing last night.” I said. “He recommended we purchase some art from Nathaniel. Tim invited Nathaniel over for dinner where he met Bryce.”

“Oh dear, poor Lawrence.” Leif said. “You did some healing?”

“My Lady explained a view things from a cosmic perspective.” I said. “Then she reinforced it with song. Lawrence still feels very bad about Bryce being hurt but I think his guilt has eased. What my Lady shared helped us both. She's also helping me with Bryce. I am learning to listen to her like I do to my housekeeper.”

“So it only took two ladies like your housekeeper to rein you in.” Sanne said. “Obviously only one could be in the physical form. The world isn't large enough for two of her. A good thing Rohan doesn't have to choose between two of you. He's having enough trouble with one. Anyway back to Bryce.”

“Lao has me doing a little energy work.” I said. “Only three-minutes every hour for now. He will call Innogen later to see how Bryce is doing and may increase the dosage. My Lady suggested I wait until midday today before doing any healing with Bryce. I think she was waiting to see what Lao's approach would be.”

“How badly did he hurt you Bryce?” Petersen said sipping his coffee.

“I'm not certain.” Bryce said. “Obviously my eye and lip. My ribs hurt so I know I have a few fractured ribs. Innogen and Rohan are the people to ask.”

“Lao has me treating him for shock and strengthening his immune system.” Innogen said. “I can only say from my physical exam that I think Bryce is correct. What about you Rohan?”

“On an energy level your core is very strong.” I said. “The rest of you is as bad as that chocolate cake you baked for the kids. A for amazing in terms of effort. A for atrocious in taste. I sent Tracy to the bakery around the corner to buy them something edible. Yes Leif he went in to bake a cake for the kids after his beating. What do you mean he sounds like me? You don't think I'd go to all that trouble for hooligans do you?”

“Funny you just happened to go to visit them that morning all on your own.” my housekeeper said. “We all know you would have done the same for those hooligans. I'm glad you will be spending more time with Bryce. This will be good for both of you.”

“We want to see if you're two peas in a pod or if you are influencing Bryce.” Sanne said.

“When we finish chatting to you we will phone Tracy and Juliet before we do anything.” Leif said. “Now what's this about a business?”

“Before I explain I want you all to know this is a secret until the other people involved announce their decision this weekend.” I said. “None of this leaves the room. Morgan mentioned buying his mom a painting at dinner. Samantha overheard and it caused her pain. Leif she's only ten but Morgan has two business ventures that make him money. I chatted with her mom about what they enjoy doing together. Baking came up. When we got specific it turned out they want to sell chocolates.”

“Oh my gosh I've always wanted to have a chocolate shop.” Leif said bouncing in his seat. “Petersen we are going to help this young lady and her mom create the best and most successful chocolate shop ever. I'm going to buy us a nice broad paddle to help keep us focused and motivated. A nice chocolate-brown leather one. Drinking chocolate, a coffee bar, nice chocolates and chocolate cupcakes for sale. Oh this will be heavenly. We'll need a good location with lots of foot traffic. What about school? We must leave her with plenty of time to do her schoolwork.”

“I don't think she will mind a long day.” my housekeeper said. “She'll love earning her own money and being able to buy nice gifts for her family. I've wondered how she might be affected but we've been very busy. Thank you for noticing Rohan. Leif if you need any help call me. Tracy has enough on her plate. Innogen would you like to help us keep Samantha healthy or do you have a full plate?”

“Right now I just have Bryce to care for so I'd love to help look after Samantha.” Innogen said.

“Frederick will figure out the best way to pay you.” my housekeeper said. “I'll call him the moment they agree to open the shop. We must chat with the British hooligans as well. There will be a good chocolatier or two in London.”

“We'll call them once we've chatted to Lucille.” Leif said. “Petersen we owe Rohan a dinner. I'm very, very happy which means I'm also very, very horny. We'll cook a meal for you and the gang in your new apartment soon Rohan.”

“That's if Petersen survives the next couple of days.” Bryce said. “Thanks for the support guys. This means a lot to me.”

“Get better soon Bryce.” Leif said. “I think I'll go with Petersen when he visits Nathaniel and let him know I'm not happy with him. We'll be able to chat with Lucille and Samantha while we're there. I'm a smidge excited about helping Samantha. Chatting at the milkshake bar is a great idea Rohan.”

“You'll also get a sneak peek at Rohan's new home.” my housekeeper said.

“I don't mind.” I said. “I'll see it with Bryce and my housekeeper.”

“And me.” Elaine said. “I'll be traveling back with you on Saturday. Our hooligans will want to see your new home.”

“Better let Joseph know to make Rohan burgers by the hundreds.” my housekeeper said. “Thanks guys. Be well.”

My housekeeper kindly agreed to call Joseph about the gang visiting. Yes it will be just like the wedding group I heard her say. Glad you can give us the deck again. About forty of us and we're all having Rohan burgers. You're the best. The boys might call you and ask for your help. Let me know how much we owe you for your time and expertise. Innogen decided if Bryce was going with us for Rohan burgers she'd tag along as well.

“I'll chat with Abby about numbers and hire a bus.” my housekeeper said. “Do you need us step outside while you do your energy work Rohan?”

“No it's just three minutes.” I said. “Carry on like normal.”

When Lao called Innogen he had her check Bryce's pulses. Then he had her up the energy work to five-minutes every hour. I baked us scones for morning tea. We were just about to have tea when a car drove up to the gate. Bram got up to let them in.

“Thank you Rohan.” Simone said running towards me and hugging me. “Thank you so much for looking after Bryce. Thank you. Thank you. Is it bad?”

“Looks a lot worse than it is and it is bad.” I said holding her close. “Nothing serious but it will be a while before he's chasing the guys again.”

“I'm sure you and Tim are just dying to kiss it all better.” Simone said wiping at her eyes.

“This is Innogen his healer.” my housekeeper said. “We'll take you in to see him while Rohan greets your driver.”

“Jinsong this is a pleasant surprise.” I said bowing.

“Tracy told me you had a medical emergency and would be away all week.” Jinsong said. “You need your lessons and I needed a bit of a break so Lao suggested I join you. He warned me if we left you alone too long you might end up embarrassing us.”

“We were just about to have some tea.” I said with a smile. “Please join us and I'll introduce you to everybody.”

Sanne and Bram greeted us at the door. Sanne suggested we go on in or the scones would be cold. Bryce greeted Jinsong over Simone's head. I pried her lose from him and handed her over to my housekeeper. Innogen checked Bryce's pulses while I warmed the scones in a low oven. Before we finished our tea Bryce had fallen asleep. Elaine took Simone out to her healing center for a massage. I went for a walk along the lake with Jinsong.

“Thank you for coming.” I said. “Now I am more settled I am pretty certain I'd be getting very bored.”

“No need to worry about being bored.” Jinsong said. “Lots of people are making plans to keep you entertained. Catherine will be visiting tomorrow to give you a workout. She mentioned going for a little run.”

“That is one sweet lady.” I said smiling broadly. “I'll chat to Bram and get something ready at the training center. Jinsong I don't know what healing work I will do on Bryce. I think it's best if we sparred first. We'll collect Bram on the way to the training area.”

My housekeeper had called the maid service who promised to come out early in the morning to clean all our homes. When Sanne protested including her house in the mix I told her she could help the kids clean the church if she needed some housecleaning. The maids would be with us for most of the day so Bram suggested Sanne help him prepare lunch for everybody. My housekeeper took Sanne with her to check on the love nest. Jinsong and Simone would be staying there for the next few days.

“Yes you could have the spare room and my housekeeper could sleep at the love nest but you need to spend time away from Bryce's hospital Simone.” I said. “My housekeeper must stay close in case Innogen needs anything. Simone you are less than a ten-minute walk away. Help Innogen with his lunch and spend some time with him because I'll be doing healing work on him soon. He will most likely sleep for a long time when I get done.”

Jinsong began by refining my techniques. He had me work through everything from the ground up. How to throw a punch. Getting the snap in a kick just right. Elbow strikes, bottom fist strikes and thumb strikes got revised. I smiled when he told me if I got bored I could come practice kicks and punches for hours on the bag. The only sparring we did was rolling hands. Simone told Sanne getting bruises on my face to match Bryce was obviously some sort of male bonding ritual.

Both Jinsong and my Lady suggested I have some burgers before doing the energy work. I was happy to have Jinsong join me and watch. Bram helped me get my lounger ready and turn on the outdoor heater. He agreed it would be nice to do it in sight of the laughing Buddha.

“Rohan you need to clear that space before you bring Bryce out here.” Jinsong said when I stepped inside the cabin. “Let's go have a sing-a-long. I can feel the lingering traces of your meltdown. You did a good job of the meltdown if I can feel it this long after. Clear these traces and seal it. Yes I know the mantras. I visited a little monastery in the mountains of Tibet. May we ask the rest of you to stay inside while we clear the space? I think it best if Rohan speaks the mantra out loud.”

Instead of a song to clear the space my Lady chose a chant. The feeling of her mirth before I began warned me to expect a surprise. Jinsong smiled at me and joined in the chanting. The man had the voice of an angel. He reminded me of Clifton. I almost lost my focus but managed to get through without embarrassing myself. The next chant had a deeper, more grounding sound. Now it was no surprise when Jinsong chanted with me. A third chant completed the clearing. I motioned for him to begin sounding the sealing mantra. Then my Lady helped me change the pitch a fraction so my mantra seemed to support his. Half-an-hour later we stepped back inside the cabin.

“Yes you guys can join us on the deck if you wish.” Jinsong said. “Simone please sit next to me. I am pretty certain you will feel something and want you where I can help you. Innogen has been around Lao long enough to experience lots of chi. Rohan the three wise men and Tracy would like to join us.”

“Would it disturb you if I brought the kids back here?” Bram asked. “I have to go fetch them in an hour. You might still be busy. Yes Jinsong I am fetching Clifton.”

“Good.” Jinsong said.

“By all means bring them back here.” I said. “You could save yourself a drive and have Lawrence fetch them. He's joining us for afternoon tea. Clifton is welcome to join me in a song or any chanting I'm doing. Jinsong please guide him. I doubt I'll be aware of my surroundings.”

“I'd forgotten about Lawrence visiting.” Bram said. “I'll call him now and join you guys. Sanne I might not have much skill at this energy work but if the children spend time around Rohan they will learn about it. I must at least know what they are talking about. Jinsong I am more comfortable with solid stuff I can see and touch. Thank you I would enjoy a little introduction if you have the time.”

“Tomorrow Rohan is going on a little jog.” Jinsong said. “We will have time to work on it. All of you are welcome to join. There is a nice training hall we can use.”

“Holy crap Rohan.” Bryce said when lifting him from the couch woke him. “I have to meet the man who can bruise your face. Oh it was Jinsong. Thanks Jinsong. I don't feel nearly as self-conscious. A couple more on the other side and we can swop places with each other Rohan.”

“My housekeeper might get a little irritated if that happened.” I said carrying him out to the deck.

“Damn that breeze feels good.” Bryce said. “Moving air is such a treat Rohan. Got something special planned for me? Nice to know you can't keep your hands off me even when I try to poison you with chocolate cake.”

“You didn't try you succeeded.” I said pulling the blanket up and tucking it under him. “Ghastly Simone. I shudder to think what those poor kids got fed in the past if they could eat that cake with a smile. Remind me to arrange for Petersen to visit with Patricia to check on the food when he gets to town. Bryce I have no idea what I'm going to do to you in the next hour or two. I could have my Lady explain it if you wish.”

“Maybe tomorrow or Friday.” Bryce said. “The sooner you get started the better.”

My housekeeper had brought the laptop out and got everybody to join us on a Skype call. I didn't worry about who was joining us. My focus was on Bryce. The support group around me would take care of things. I had to trust them. Time to get started.

Boy did we get started fast. We also came to what seemed a screeching halt in comparison not long into the healing session. We started with the chant that Jinsong joined in earlier. Then a spontaneous image of Bryce's energy flow came to mind. Focus on the central channels down the front and up the spine my Lady said. The roots for all the other bits that branch out she explained. A clean color that speaks to you of healing is what you want she continued. A nice sky blue came to mind so I concentrated on seeing Bryce's chi this color as it flowed up the Governor vessel in his back and down the Conception vessel in the front.

Breathing deeply I relaxed a little more with each breath so all the low points in the rest of his body wouldn't upset me. My Lady told me to relax very deeply while keeping my focus on the flow of this blue chi. She promised to let me know when it was time to expand the energy work. Patience is key she told me firmly. Trust the chi to know what to do and how to do it she continued.

“Water, please.” I said with my eyes closed in response to her prompting some time later.

I drank with closed eyes when somebody pressed a glass against my lips. The blue spread from the central channels out to the edges of his body in the next step of the process. Like water washing over and through him the chi flowed smoothly out. In a perfect impersonation of Lao my Lady urged me to go slowly and let it spread in a trickle. Unlike Lao she told me I was doing pretty good. Patience she counseled. Nowhere to go and nothing to do. Breathe. Visualize. Allow. Slower like a soaking rain. Let it seep into him. Be patient she urged. We are working on levels free of the illusion of time. Drink some water. Now tea. Good. Let us continue.

“Greater love hath no man that he should miss his tea with chocolate cake and custard to help another.” Tim said when I opened my eyes. “How are you feeling my Love?”

“No idea.” I said honestly. “Everything feels so far away.”

“I will help you with that when you finish reassuring your sons.” Jinsong said. “They will be happy to know you didn't embarrass them.”

“Phew! That's a load of my mind.” Dylan said.

“That's my brother. Always unloading.” Adam said hugging Dylan. “I can't hug Pater for not embarrassing us so you'll have to do. Why I do believe I'd bugger the old geezer as well if I could get my hands on him. We'll have to wait until after dinner. Once again Pater dragged his heels.”

“This was a marathon spell even for you Rohan.” Morgan said. “Four hours playing with Bryce is very impressive. No wonder the lad fell asleep.”

“A good job my fine husband doesn't mind playing with sleeping lads.” Tim said. “Don't worry my Love I had a cuppa or two for you. We knew you were taking this serious when you kept asking for water. I don't think we'll ever hear you ask for water that many times again.”

“First I get poisoned and now I'm rusting on the inside.” I said. “This healing business is dangerous work. I'd love to stay and chat but I need to let Jinsong help me refocus and then I must eat. Dylan I'm ravenous. A good thing Grace isn't here to see this dinner.”

“Jinsong warned us to cook plenty of food.” Sanne said kissing my cheek. “Let me help you up. Can you manage on your own from here?”

“Let Bryce stay where he is for a while Innogen.” I said. “We'll take him in later. I'll call you guys later. Sorry to be so rude.”

I followed Jinsong through a very grounding Tai Chi sequence. Slowly the excess chi drained from me in to the ground. After thirty-minutes I felt my usual self except for the hunger. I hope they've cooked an epic amount of food I thought as we headed indoors. Simone was waiting for us with beers in hand. She hugged and kissed me before letting me sit at the table. Jinsong and Clifton blessed dinner with a chant.

Despite my hunger I followed my Lady's advice to take it slowly. I made it a point to chat with the kids about their day. Hans told me Lawrence had made certain they got their chocolate cake and custard for tea. I promised Lawrence a thank you kiss later. Richard was quick to let me know he'd brewed the tea. Innogen agreed my workload doubled on me quickly. Bram told me he'd set up a couple of rings for my workout with Catherine and set up a fresh cask of beer in the love nest. The other keg was just about empty so he had brought it down to the cabin. On top of two kisses I had to help finish off a keg of beer. Shocking Innogen agreed handing me another glass of beer. The others had finished eating so I took my plate to the living room.

“My Lady suggested I eat slowly.” I said when Tim teased me for having a plate in hand.

“He's eaten less than his normal amount and taken twice as long.” my housekeeper confirmed.

“The excess chi can overstimulate appetites so you feel hungrier than you are.” Jinsong explained. “When the chi settles Rohan might have eaten less than usual. The chi will replenish his body and won't need as much food. I think for five kisses from each of you Innogen will be happy to check Rohan's pulses.”

“Jinsong a lady as pretty as Innogen should charge twice the going rate.” Morgan said. “I wouldn't sleep easily if it wasn't ten.”

“Take your time agreeing and it could be thirty.” my housekeeper advised.

“Ten from each of them is forty.” Innogen said. “I don't want them to think I'm greedy. Hold out your arm Rohan.”

“Are you guys recording this call?” I asked extending my right arm. “I'd hate to have to repeat myself several times. The healing was lengthy more than difficult. I started by choosing a healing color. Today it was sky-blue. Then my Lady had me imagine sky-blue chi flowing in a circuit down the front and up his back. She called them the Governor channel and Conception vessel. Lao or Jinsong will know more about it. I have no idea how long I did this before she told me to let it seep out and in to the rest of his body. This circuit runs up the spine and down the center of the body in the front Dylan. When my Lady says trickle she means a trickle of a trickle. My patience almost wasn't up to the challenge.”

“Four hours is a long time.” Adam agreed. “Don't worry Pater I won't ask you to spend four hours pleasuring me. Three maybe but not four.”

“Very kind of you.” I said.

“Yes it is isn't it?” Adam agreed. “I think I deserve another round of dessert for this kindness. Thanks Tracy.”

“How is the business appraisal coming along?” I asked. “Did your guy manage to get on a flight today Lawrence?”

“Yes he did.” Lawrence said. “We will meet up with him because he had a quick look around and thinks we need to increase some of the prices. Rohan the artists deserve more. Especially the lady in England. Tim has kindly agreed to let my friend look at the pieces you bought and pay the revised price. I've also put the word out there is a post of gallery manager that needs filling.”

“Now all we need is for Nathaniel to accept the offer.” I said.

“Oh he'll accept the offer.” Leif said stepping into view. “Unlike my boss I'm quite happy to feed him to Petersen. A lot of people have asked for tickets to the show.”

“I'm hoping he tries to bully Frederick.” Juliet said. “Brother Michael is already here. Leif, Petersen and Brother Michael are all the muscle we need.”

“Rohan do you mind if we make our announcement now?” Lucille asked. “We're way too excited to wait until the weekend.”

“This is your announcement.” I said. “Go ahead.”

“Yes Tim this is another case of Rohan being sweet. Pun intended.” Lucille said. “I have spoken to Henry. He has spoken to Samantha. We have worked out a schedule which Petersen thinks will work nicely. Today I am happy to announce Samantha is opening up her own chocolate business called A Chocolate Leaf.”

“Love the name.” Leif said blandly. Three seconds later he was hugging and kissing Lucille and Samantha.

While they opened champagne I carried Bryce up to bed. Innogen checked his pulses and assured me he was doing fine. Jinsong told me to be patient. The most dramatic change wouldn't be visible until the morning he predicted. There was nothing more I could do for now he assured me dragging me from the room. Innogen told me I was as bad as Simone. Innogen had taken Bryce's pulses at regular intervals during the healing session. He had fallen asleep soon after I started and remained asleep.

“You guys are going to drown me in kisses for this are you.” I said. “Do you want me to act surprised now?”

“Thank you Rohan.” Morgan said simply with an arm around his sister. “Darn dust. We need your housekeeper back here.”

“A Chocolate Leaf!” we toasted.

“I haven't made any money yet but as a thank you I'll give you my brother for a night.” Samantha said. “Would you like him gift-wrapped?”

“That would take a lot of paper so let's just stick with a bow.” I suggested.

“Okay.” Samantha said. “Let me know what night you want him.”

“I will.” I promised. “Your announcement was the perfect end to a lovely day. Jinsong tells me we will see the results of my energy work tomorrow morning. We'll call you first thing tomorrow. Tracy please keep me posted on how the gallery sale is going. Thank you guys for your support. All of you over there and here. I want you all to know it was being able to trust you guys to support me that allowed me to relax and do the energy work.”

“Bryce owes you all a very big thank you and I'll be certain to let him know.” Simone said. “Good luck with your business Samantha. Keep in touch because I'm certain we could sell some of your chocolates at the restaurant and the B&B.”

I managed a second helping of dessert. Sanne told Innogen this was less than I usually ate. We watched a murder mystery before walking Jinsong and Simone to the love nest. The rest of us walked Sanne home. My housekeeper told me if I didn't stop hovering around Bryce she'd wrap me in a bow and feed me to Innogen. I decided there was a little too much hunger in the way Innogen looked me up and down so I made a dignified withdrawal from the fray.

“Shall I get the bow or is it a little too late for that?” my housekeeper asked when she came downstairs the next morning.

Innogen was kneeling astride my lap and kissing me very passionately. Instead of fetching a bow my housekeeper took some pictures. Thankfully Innogen had to show my housekeeper how effective the energy work had been. I got to take a breath before I passed out.

“Not too shabby.” my housekeeper said coming back down and taking Innogen's place on my lap.

“Yes all us ladies will be taking turns.” Elaine said. “Innogen had the right idea. You'll be lucky to keep your clothes on when Simone sees him.”

“Really?” Simone said entering the cabin with Jinsong. “Then let me go take a look at that cousin of mine. Why's he still sleeping?”

“The body heals faster during rest.” Jinsong explained. “Innogen and Lao will keep a close watch on him. There is no reason for concern. Now I am curious to see what has them all drowning Rohan in kisses.”

I got to keep my clothes on – for now – because Simone couldn't stop crying in relief. She led me upstairs to see the results. There was still signs of bruising but they were much paler and looked a lot older than they were. The cut in his lip was barely visible. Even more impressive was the look of peace on Bryce's face. I expected him to wake up and get out of bed at any moment. While we were standing there Sanne and the kids joined us. They were equally speechless.

“You won't believe it.” my housekeeper was telling the gang when we returned to the living room. “Tim how do I disconnect this laptop from the TV so I can take it upstairs and show you guys? Rohan you know what to do with coffee, whipped cream and Scotch don't you? Then do it. I'll be back down soon.”

“Maybe next time you'll get all the bruising to heal Pater.” Dylan said a few minutes later. “You missed a spot or two this time.”

“Yes Pater it is laundry where you want to wash, rinse and repeat.” Adam reminded me kindly. “Try to lose the repeat when it comes to healing.”

“I thought you did a very nice job on the cut lip my Love.” Tim said. “Maybe Jinsong or Lao can give you some pointers on dealing with bruises. Innogen how are the ribs?”

“We'll have to wait for Bryce to wake up before we know.” Innogen said. “I'm sure they will be doing just fine.”

“Good because we don't want Rohan needing help with bruises and ribs.” Tim said. “Nicely done Rohan. I can see why Lao thinks there is a glimmer of hope for you. Innogen please let Lao have a look at Bryce soon so he can start helping Rohan. I need an Irish coffee to help me past the bruising.”

“I'll bruise all your behinds when we get back.” my housekeeper said. “Check your phones soon for some ideas on how to respond to Rohan's work.”

“The only reason I'm getting an Irish coffee is to celebrate my conversion to believing in all this chi work.” Dr. Deidre said. “Maybe the boys would be more impressed if I told them they were looking at results in two days that normally would take from four to six weeks.”

“Dr. Deidre we're drinking because it is amazing.” Dylan said. “No matter how Lao explains it I will have trouble making it part of my reality. We all saw Bryce when he came here on Tuesday. I wouldn't believe this change took place in two days if I hadn't been here.”

“We'll focus on enjoying Bryce when he's healed and let dad deal with all the reality shifting required along the way.” Adam said. “I'll be glad to have Bryce back a lot sooner even if I'm not able to live with the how. Considering the change Rohan's energy work made overnight I can't imagine taking care of the remaining bruising will be a challenge. I'm just curious to know if he has to do more energy work or if it is just a matter of giving it another day?”

“I'll wait until I've spoken to Jinsong and Lao before I decide but if Bryce's ribs are a lot better I might wait another day before doing any more energy work.” I said. “This is just a feeling based on how slowly I had to do the other energy work. Innogen will apply some salve on the bruising throughout today. I'm curious to see how far the one dose of energy work will take us. This is already a lot more healing than I expected.”

Sanne came around with plates of breakfast casserole for everybody. We were just about to end the call when there was a knock on the apartment door.

“Simply Divine.” Joseph said stepping inside and kissing Tracy. “You and the apartment my dear. Ooh the kitchen is stunning. Love, love, love the paintings. You must tell me where you got them Tim. You be sure to let me know when the gallery reopens. Hi Rohan. What are doing over there? Playing nurse? Leave it to the pretty ladies sitting next to you. I'd love an Irish coffee Tracy. Nothing else will banish the image of Rohan in a nurse's uniform. Ghastly! The image not the coffee.

Well boys must I beg and grovel for a kiss? Nonsense Tracy there's no such thing as too many kisses. Or too many cakes. Especially for children. We'd better get started soon. Tim I'd love to give you a hand with the decorating while the cakes bake. Come along boys. Bye Rohan. Have fun playing nurse. See you Saturday for burgers.”

“That my friends is Joseph.” I said. “A small man with a heart as big as his mouth. Kindness personified. The best chef within a thousand mile radius.”

We took a break from breakfast to see the kids off to school. Jinsong smiled and showed Clifton the reminder in his phone for their meeting later today. They were going to the chapel. I noticed some cars driving down the road so we waited outside the cabin.

“Sorry we're late Rohan but Dylan texted to say we had to fetch Lawrence and Richard on our way.” Catherine said. “He did mention it was good news.”

“Lawrence why don't you and Richard go up and look in on Bryce.” I said. “He's sleeping but Innogen can answer your questions. I'll have a quick word with the maids and we can have some breakfast together. Sanne would you like them to start with your home? Then the love nest, Elaine's cottage and finally the cabin. I'm sure Bryce will be ready to spend some time outside by then.”

“I've had enough breakfast Rohan.” Sanne said. “I'll show them to the house. Thank you Rohan for treating me to a week without housecleaning.”

My housekeeper laughed delightedly when I stepped inside and into a lingering kiss from Lawrence. The kiss said it all. Richard grinned when she showed him the pictures of Innogen and Elaine kissing me. Lawrence told her he'd be delighted to make a few prints. Teresa and Catherine came downstairs a few minutes later. They told me they'd seen the photographs and couldn't believe it was the same person lying in that bed. Simone gave Charlotte a call right after breakfast with the good news. Jinsong suggested I go for a run with Catherine and Teresa this morning and do my workout after lunch.

“Your housekeeper wants us back in two hours so we'll have to set a quick pace from the start.” Catherine said. “I'm not brave enough to have you back here one minute late.”

“Four hours of energy work and now a two-hour run.” Innogen said. “Has anybody thought of introducing Rohan to the concept of a quickie?”

“His sons keep trying and failing.” my housekeeper said. “They've got him down to an hour. Clocks ticking. Get moving guys.”

I found the run a lovely way to stretch. Working energy through myself in a circuit just as I had done for Bryce gave me a lovely burst of energy. I considered it a victory when Catherine started cursing me. Teresa laughed when I hugged and kissed Catherine.

“We're about an hour from the cabin.” Teresa said when we stopped for a water break.

“Race you back.” I said. “Come along. You've done so well. Keep the momentum going eh wot?! I'll buy you both a beer when we get back. Two beers. Three beers!”

“I wonder if we can turn my gym into a knitting shop.” Catherine said as we took off. “You're right Teresa it's time to get serious.”

“We'll wipe that smile off his face.” Teresa said picking up the pace.

They pushed me hard but they were still pushing me when we passed through the gate. I found one last burst of speed in me to win by about five yards.

“These lovely ladies need their massage before me.” I said when Elaine made to drag me away.

“Is there a second massage table?” Innogen asked. “Then I'll have Simone keep an eye on Bryce while I help with the massages.”

“Wonderful.” I said. “Don't worry I'll bring over some beer in a moment. Then I think I'll go for a swim. Has Bryce woken yet Innogen? Soon I think. We'll wake him if he's still asleep in two hours. Thanks for a lovely little run.”

Elaine kindly let me frolic in the water while she finished her beer. She made me hop under the shower to warm up before she put her hands on me. Innogen brought me a beer and let me know Bryce was awake. Simone was trying to stop him from getting out of bed until they'd checked with Lao. Elaine told her to get help from my housekeeper. When she explained my housekeeper was one of only two people able to keep me in bed Innogen agreed to go find her.

“Worked like a charm.” Innogen said when we entered the cabin. “Lao is calling in ten minutes.”

I grabbed a beer and went to offer a hand with lunch. Sanne asked me to put some salads together. The maids were almost done with the love nest. They'd done Elaine's cottage before heading up so they just had the cabin to clean. I told them Lao was calling soon so their timing was perfect. Elaine helped my housekeeper set up a folding table on the deck. I helped Teresa bring the benches from the garage. We teased Catherine for spending too much time with Tim when she brought out a tablecloth. She threatened me with cloth napkins and napkin rings if I wasn't careful.

“Room for one more?” Bryce asked from the cabin.

“There's always room for you.” I said. “Nice work pretending you're so weak and getting those pretty girls to help you.”

“Don't spoil it for him.” my housekeeper said swatting my ass. “Go get us some beer.”

I kissed Bryce in passing. Innogen led him to a space between Lawrence and Richard. The maids knew about our patient who had been in an accident. Jinsong and my Lady had fun blessing the meal. I thanked the maids for working hard to get all the homes cleaned in one day. They told me they enjoyed it because Elaine made certain they got a good lunch. I kissed Elaine on my way over to set a couple of hot dogs in front of Bryce.

“He ate his soup Innogen.” I said. “I know it's good for you. That's all I got to eat when I was getting my dose of religion. Now we've fed his body with soup we can feed his soul with hot dogs and dessert. No whipped cream Bryce just ice-cream on your cobbler. I'll have your whipped cream so it doesn't go to waste. You must call your mom right after lunch. Dr. Deidre's been keeping a close watch on your progress. She can translate the medical gobbledygook.”

Elaine brought out the cobbler while I got everybody another beer. Bryce promised to thank me properly for feeding him hot dogs, cobbler and beer when he was feeling a little stronger. Any month now Simone promised me. Catherine predicted it would be a week with that sort of incentive. Hours was Sanne's prediction. I'd rushed off on Tuesday, done energy work for four hours and there was nobody to help relieve the pressure.

“Catherine has a lovely workout planned to help me relieve the pressure.” I said. “The jog we went on was a nice way to loosen me up.”

The maids started cleaning upstairs to allow me to bake profiteroles for tea. My housekeeper suggested they finish packing their car right at tea time. They agreed with me she was a very sensible lady. I promised there would be plenty to eat. Bryce called his mom. Simone insisted on a Skype call so she could see how good he looked. Charlotte spotted me in the background and thanked me for taking care of Bryce.

“Shit happens in life Rohan.” Charlotte said. “The best a mom can hope for is her son will have good friends on hand to help him when he needs it. You've proven yourself a very good friend. All of you. I'll chat with Dr. Deidre and Juliet later so I can thank them. Innogen will it be okay if I visited Bryce tomorrow? I have the weekend off and arranged for somebody to cover my shift tomorrow.”

“Arriving at teatime would be good.” Simone said. “Rohan what time is tea?”

“We'll serve tea when Charlotte arrives.” I said. “Don't worry Charlotte I'll bake the cakes.”

“I'll explain tomorrow.” Bryce promised.

“On my way Catherine.” I said. “I need a volunteer to finish these little guys. Thanks Elaine. Where's my workout outfit?”

“You call that an outfit?” Innogen said when my housekeeper tossed some skimpy shorts at me. “I suppose it is relative and he was wearing less for his swim. Charlotte if pressed I'd have to admit my time here hasn't been all bad. Lots of natural splendor.”

This afternoon I was finishing the part I missed from my Tuesday workout. Nobody knew how the healing work would affect me so they had chosen to err on caution. I was glad because Tim would have been really upset if I'd missed tea twice. Jinsong came to watch my workout. When Catherine told him we had finished he stepped up and helped me practice rolling hands. Holding my ground in the resistance band while sparring was tricky. I came away sporting another bruise next to my left eye. Catherine agreed it was better than losing my footing and decorating the door. Simone thought one more sparring bout and people would think I was the one who got hurt.

My housekeeper tossed a towel at me and told me to go rinse off in the lake. She laughed when Innogen snatched the towel from me and insisted on holding it for me while I rinsed. Elaine agreed there was a lot of natural splendor for her to enjoy at the lake while she held my towel.

Clifton and Hans sat on my lap while we had tea. Lawrence and Richard left with the maids after tea. Jinsong invited Hans and Marikie to join him and Clifton in the chapel. I lifted Bryce off the couch and told him we were going to soak in the hot tub for a bit.

“Do you think he's up for it?” Simone asked.

“I don't know about him but I'm up for it.” I said. “I'll make certain he keeps his head above water.”

“One of them anyway.” my housekeeper said. “Be back in an hour for your next round of tea. Bram is cooking chicken. You have to cook the vegetable sides and bake some pies for dessert Rohan. I'll be right behind you with some beer. Innogen there will be beer. Do you want me or Rohan deciding how much?”

“You'll learn.” Elaine said. “You've only known Rohan a few days and been busy helping Bryce.”

My housekeeper brought me two beers and Bryce one beer. I asked her to knock before she brought in the second round. She told me the second round would be waiting in the kitchen. I pouted. Bryce laughed and promised my housekeeper he'd take care of the pout. Gods it felt so good to have a young naked lad sitting on my lap. My cock left neither of us in any doubt about how good it was.

“There's no need to rush.” I said. “I won't last long after three days and all this stress. You gave me a bit of a scare.”

“I gave both of us a scare.” Bryce said. “No idea how I missed the signs.”

“Leslie says you didn't.” I said. “She wouldn't say it if it weren't true. I'm going to leave the counseling to her and Juliet. My job is the energy healing.”

“Are you saying you just want to focus on my body?” Bryce asked. “Well as long as you love me inside and out I don't mind. Any chance of getting inside soon?”

“In a minute or two.” I said. “I have a beer to finish before I start on you.”

I carried Bryce over to the shower and spent several wonderful minutes washing him. Leaning forward he braced himself on the top of the tub so I could rim and lubricate him. How I'd missed the smell and taste of young ass.

“Please Rohan do me before we run out of time.” Bryce begged.

“You're right.” I said lifting and placing him back in the hot tub. “Sooner is better than later.”

Because I wanted to do the work I had Bryce stand and grab the edge of the hot tub. Stepping up behind him I wasted no more time in guiding my cock inside him. Four days of denial were finally at a fucking end. The end I was in and the fuck proved worth the wait. Grabbing his hips I fucked him forcibly. I wasn't going to fuck an invalid. He could take it! He did take it! Sighing and leaning back against me Bryce surrendered.

We both needed this for different reasons. I was horny. Bryce needed the confirmation he was a lot better. Saying it with sex was better than flowers I thought as I thrust deep inside of him. Smooth strokes that relentlessly brought us to our orgasms. The afternoon sunlight coming through the small windows at the top of the wall bathed him in a lovely golden light. I told him how gorgeous he looked. How much I enjoyed being inside him. The courage and caring he'd shown to go in and bake that horrible cake made me so proud of him. Kissing his neck I pumped my hips as fast as I could. Letting his natural tightness squeeze me I surrendered to the pleasure.

“Oh Rohan I'm right there.” Bryce warned me.

I stopped fucking him so we could step up on the seat. Sometimes it's hot to cum in the water but I wanted to enjoy his load. Standing with his cock safely out of the water I pulled him towards me so he was leaning slightly backward. Then I set about bringing this fuck to its messy conclusion. Looking down over his shoulder I watched his cock spit cum up at me. So fucking hot! Too fucking hot! My cock spat its load in his wonderful depths. Turning him around I stepped down so my face was level with that wonderful mess. When I had licked him clean I kissed the bruises on his ribs and stomach. Working my way up I made certain to kiss each of the bruises on his face. A last lingering kiss on his lips and we settled back in the tub. I was holding him close when there was a knock at the door.

“Come in.” I said.

“I thought I'd give you a hand so you wouldn't be tempted to linger.” my housekeeper said picking up a towel.

She dried Bryce while I dried quickly. He wanted to walk back to the cabin so she wrapped an arm around him. I carried the tray. When we got close I made a face in response to the thought of the ghastly tea waiting. Bryce laughed when I explained. My housekeeper smiled. I kissed Innogen's nose as I took the mug from her. Then I knocked it back as quickly as possible. Elaine had a beer waiting when I set the mug down.

“What fruit do we have?” I asked. “Blackberry pies. Peach pies. Wonderful. Better get started if we want to eat in a couple of hours. Thanks for making the pastry Elaine. You're an angel. We'll be ready in no time. Don't worry Innogen I'll remember his soup. Who stole my beer? Elaine that glass was full just a few seconds ago. Keep a closer eye on this one.”

Jinsong wisely stayed out of the kitchen when he saw me kissing anybody foolish enough to get within arm's reach. Clifton sat on a bar stool and shared his lesson. I told him I knew that Jinsong was very clever when it came to songs and chants. Clifton shared some of the new ones he'd learned. He'd made notes about what each of them did. Marikie loved it when I called his notebook his book of magic. There's no magic to stop beer from disappearing around Rohan he told me sadly.

The gang called from the apartment before dinner. Bryce told them he'd found a trip to the hot tub quite restorative. I told the boys I was giving the salve more time to work before doing any energy work. Tomorrow afternoon I would do a little more if I survived my sparring session with Jinsong.

The boys told us they had enjoyed baking with Joseph. Somehow he managed to stay focused on the baking while admiring the kitchen. Nothing had escaped his notice. I was glad to hear he approved of the makeover. The boys had a few recipes they could use now. Bryce was happy to hear there was one for a chocolate cake. He owed me a good chocolate cake. The boys promised to help him bake it.

“That's one less thing for me to do on Sunday.” I said. “Yes you guys will be baking for the feast. I'm also open to suggestions about what to cook. Let me know tomorrow so I can prepare a shopping list. Tim deserves to choose the menu for all his work.”

“Purple chicken.” Adam said. “Is there time? Yes we can get it started. We'll call you when we have the ingredients. We'll need a shopping list.”

“Why don't we make it easy on you and do a repeat of that wonderful day?” Leslie asked. “Irish lamb stew and a good beef stew to go with the purple chicken.”

“That will be the perfect menu.” Tim said after a few quiet words with Morgan.

“Yes we'll get some wine and beers for you scurvy knaves just like the other time.” I said. “Innogen will have to join us if she wants to keep an eye on Bryce because he'll be there to bake the cakes. Elaine needs a weekend away from here. Somewhere she will feel very loved.”

“Nothing says loved like lots of kisses.” Tracy agreed. “This time you'll be sleeping with them as a married couple.”

“That reminds me I have to pencil in a marriage one weekend.” Adam said. “No there isn't any rush. I like the idea of going on honeymoon in our own love nest. Please don't leave it too late. The start of next year is filling up fast for you.”

“We have a few things to discuss about your love nest.” I said. “Early next week we will need to get together with Bram, Brother Murray and Brother Michael to discuss things in more detail. The two things I want you to mull over in the next few days are switching to another state and if you want a green home in Colorado we only have two months at best before snow sets in.”

“I guess you're asking us to consider a different state because you have found something.” Morgan said. “Bigfork, Montana eh. The name is appealing. Send us the link and we'll have a look Rohan. We'll show it to the gang as well.”

“Right now it has three bedrooms and three bathrooms with lots of outbuildings Leslie.” I said. “This is a good starter for them. What I like is the five acres of land it is on. Something to keep in mind is the property taxes are around $250 per month. You can halve this by staying in Colorado or get a lot more land for the same price. Yes there are even more expensive areas in Colorado as well.”

“Thanks for sharing this with us Dad.” Adam said. “We'll chat before the big discussion. Have a good night everybody.”

“We'll chat after the gallery sale has gone through tomorrow morning.” Sophie said. “That will be around tea time Rohan. Good night.”

The next morning was a nerve-wracking time for me. I knew Nathaniel would most likely agree to the sale to avoid any charges being filed against him. He'd also want a new town where word hadn't spread about his actions. Jinsong kindly agreed to having our sparring session after lunch. I baked Chelsea buns for our tea. Sanne agreed to take some with her for their afternoon tea. She was fetching the kids from school and driving to town. She'd ordered the flowers for my apartment and arranged delivery so it wouldn't take her long to get them in place. Bram told me they'd be happy to stay and come back Sunday if I made the feast a lunch. My housekeeper liked the idea of me resting Sunday night.

We were still waiting on the phone call when Charlotte arrived. Simone took her and Bryce out on the deck so they could chat. I called them back in when the call came through. A lot of tension left me when Tracy told me I owned an art gallery. Petersen had deducted the cost of Nathaniel's plane ticket from the sale price and bought it for him so he knew the man would be gone Saturday. Brother Michael and Petersen had merely placed a couple of pictures of Bryce on the table and let him know they were thinking of calling the police if he stayed in town. Tim couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than with a good breakfast blend tea and Chelsea buns.

“Lucille tomorrow morning I'd like you to go choose your picture.” I said. “You can pay us when you want but I don't want the boys picking the one you like. They're choosing one as a gift for Joseph. I'm certain he didn't charge for helping with the baking. He's done lots for us.”

I walked away unscathed from my sparring session. Jinsong wasn't marked either but I considered it a victory. He suggested I visit the hot tub with Bryce before I do any energy work. My Lady told me it would be fine to do the energy work after dinner so he could share a meal with his mom. Tonight we were just going to keep things ticking over. I decided to blow Bryce and enjoy every drop. Kneeling in front of him I lifted his ass so his cock was clear of the water. When I finished swallowing I simply leaned over him and slid inside.

My housekeeper offered Charlotte the spare bed. I told Simone she could have the couch. I was spending the night with my housekeeper at Sanne's house. Once again I did the same energy work. When I finished Jinsong told me my trickle was improving. I might perfect it this lifetime he added. Bryce was glad Innogen was there to protect him because my energy work had a tendency to make him very sleepy. Innogen dosed us with tea before Bryce fell asleep. She wasn't taking a chance on him waking in the morning for his tea.

Bryce was not only awake when we arrived at the cabin he was supervising Simone and Charlotte. They wanted to cook us a thank you breakfast. Jinsong allowed me an Irish coffee before he took me out on the lawn for some Tai Chi. Elaine was getting a lift with us to town and a ride back with Sanne. Simone rode back with Charlotte, Bryce and Innogen so Jinsong didn't have to go out of his way. He thanked me for making it as interesting as Lao had predicted. The boys had already talked him into joining us Sunday.

The gang was waiting downstairs for us. We parked our two cars and boarded the bus. Yes I did think it was a deliberate ploy to stop me from seeing the completed makeover. Tim agreed if I admitted it was sensible and saved me from spending an hour looking at the changes there would be no reason to spank him. Charlotte promised to buy Dr. Deidre a thank you drink for offering her a bed in her apartment. She agreed with Tracy it was good that lunch was on my tab. I was busy hugging and kissing the scurvy knaves. Dylan ended up on my lap. Tim leaned in on my left. Good being back I thought.

Joseph was bustling around arranging and rearranging things on the deck while our friend the waiter stood watching from the side. I stood next to him for a few minutes totally unnoticed by Joseph.

“Must be just right.” Joseph mumbled shifting a fork a sixteenth of an inch to the left. “I hope they like the flowers. Better check on the burgers. Hope the buns are nearly ready. Drinks. Oh my gosh did I chill enough wine. Better go put a few more bottles in the fridge. Eek! Help! Save me!”

“The rescue crew will arrive in fifteen-minutes.” the waiter said calmly. “Good of you to capture Joseph's capture Lawrence. I wonder if he knows how much Rohan loves him. I think I literally saw sparks fly when they kissed.”

“I doubt it.” Lawrence said snapping pictures. “A lot like Rohan not knowing how much he loves his housekeeper. The tables look amazing. Thank you for setting this up.”

“Rohan tips well.” the waiter said blandly. “My name is Reginald. A pleasure to meet you Lawrence.”

“You boys have a gift for me.” Joseph said as I led him to the open space inside the tables. “How very sweet. Really you shouldn't have. Oh my gosh my hair is such a mess. Look what you've done Rohan. No you can't kiss it better. You've kissed me quite enough.”

“We are happy to tell you the gallery is open under new management.” Tim said. “You and Lucille get first pick. We're expecting you there on Monday.”

“I know how hard it is to wait so here's a painting to help you make it through.” Dylan said. “I hope you like it and it matches your décor.”

“You're welcome to exchange it for another on Monday.” Adam said. “This painting is 'Spring Flowers'.”

“Ooh it's by that lovely British girl.” Joseph said. “Gorgeous. Stunning. Way too much. You boys really went too far. Oh it's also a gift from Rohan. What a sweetie. I'll kiss him first because he's right here. Well boys. I'm waiting.”

“There's one more surprise.” Dylan said when the four of them had received their kisses. “I hope you don't mind sharing it with Lucille.”

“Don't be shy Lucille.” Tracy said. “Joseph won't bite you. He might bite Rohan but not you. You need to stand close to them Boss. You're on speakerphone Millie.”

“Hi guys.” Millie said. “I'm told you are big fans of my work. Which paintings did you pick?”

“Waterwheel.” Lucille said. “I loved the pond and the people around it. The sun shining through the clouds lightens things perfectly. Yes Joseph I do have a picture to show you.”

“Oh it's gorgeous.” Joseph said. “Millie you're so talented. I've just been given 'Spring Flowers' and it's perfect. Love the blues and pinks in the flowers. The cathedral in the background is heavenly. Oops pardon the pun. I'll think of Rohan every time I see it. He's a church bigwig of some sort. One day I'll sit down and chat to him about it.”

“Slim chance of Joseph ever sitting down.” Reginald said. “Millie he's like a kitten with a vibrator up its butt.”

“Reginald!” Joseph said blushing. “I've a good mind to promote you.”

“You've promoted me as far as I can go.” Reginald said. “Please Lawrence don't go giving him ideas by mentioning marriage.”

“Thank you Rohan for purchasing three of my paintings.” Millie said. “I also want to thank you for buying the gallery. Is Mason with you today?”

“I don't know.” I said. “I've been away for a few days while the sale went through and just arrived for lunch. Lawrence tells me he's here. Hello Mason. Pleasure to meet you. We must chat soon. I know you have a gallery in New York you need to get back to.”

“My wife is loving running the gallery so I'm not in too much of a rush.” Mason said. “The happier she is when I return the happier I'll be. Good to chat with you again Millie. I warned Millie I was enlisting your help to get exclusive rights to her paintings for the two galleries Rohan.”

“We'll chat more about it on Monday.” I promised.

“Mason tells me you have a large group of friends and family.” Millie said. “He's spoken to me about selling my paintings for a higher price. I've asked him to make a note of the existing prices. This will be the cost to you, your friends and family. Yes Joseph that includes you and your restaurant staff. Thanks to you guys I will be very comfortable this winter. The first winter I'm not a starving artist.”

“Congratulations for hanging in through the lean times.” Leslie said. “That takes commitment and courage.”

“We're glad you had faith in your talent or we'd never have enjoyed these lovely paintings.” Lucille said. “Well done.”

“Can we call you around nine a.m Monday?” I asked. “Thank you. Have a wonderful Sunday. Thanks for staying up late to chat with us today. Yes dear Joseph did name a burger after me. I think it was a marketing ploy because he knew the gang would insist on trying the burger.”

“Rohan you are such a tease.” Joseph said. “See even Millie thinks you're being naughty. Thanks Millie. I'll definitely be popping in to get another painting. Something for my bedroom. Got any Greek gods painted? Ooh really? You'll do one especially for me. Sigh. My own commissioned work. No I don't mind waiting. Shall I send you a deposit? I'm a chef so the thought of you going hungry is terrifying. I'll get your number from Tracy and text you a picture of my bedroom when I get home.

Rohan when you're on your next British soirée you must give her a kiss for me. Oh my. A one-of-a-kind painting. This is too exciting. Well I must dash. I need to check on the bread Millie. Can't have a Rohan burger without buns.”

“You got that right.” Tracy said. “There's always buns around Rohan and they're usually well-toasted.”

“A pleasure to meet you guys.” Millie said. “Enjoy the burgers. Tracy text me to let me know what you think of the Rohan burger. I'm intrigued.”

“I will.” Tracy said. “The boys picked a lovely painting for Joseph.”

Joseph had hurried off without his painting. Reginald took it inside for him. We laughed when he bumped into Joseph coming back for it. Joseph called out the burgers would just be five-minutes longer. I chatted to Mason about having an official gallery opening. He told me I could take a month or two before I officially announced the new ownership and name change. A lot depends on how many pieces of art Millie has ready I explained. We'd need enough pieces for both our galleries. Mason thought it such a brilliant idea he treated me to a drink. Dr. Phyllis came over to tell me she understood why people drank around me. She'd seen pictures of Bryce and even with her time around Lao couldn't believe the change.

“Well I did have a lot of motivation to get him better soon.” I said with a smile. “I had to leave my husband behind to take care of the decorating project we'd just started Mason. Those three days without were very, very long days.”

“Honesty in a healer is very important.” Mason said touching his glass to mine.

“Nice to know you missed me.” Tim said coming over to take my hand. “The first round of burgers is ready my Love.”

“Where do you think you're headed Joseph?” Sophie asked. “Stay right there. Reginald please close those doors so he doesn't escape before we've thanked him. I tried some of your cakes so I know how good a chef you are. Rohan thinks you're even better than him and Petersen. I think they're right. I'll thank you first so I can get back to this delicious burger.”

I let the others thank Joseph before I walked over to a shell-shocked Joseph. He didn't utter a single squawk when I gave him a special kiss. Tracy handed him a double-Scotch on the rocks when I let him go. We smiled when Reginald draped an arm over Joseph's shoulders and led him to the office. I heard Mason telling Bram we didn't hold back when it came to sharing our affection. Bram told him he had no idea how affectionate we could be or how easily we shed our clothes. Sanne told him Bram wasn't joking.

Very, very loving Tracy agreed before she started scolding me. Mason laughed as she let me know her third burger was putting another two ounces on her thighs. Even if she had Brother Michael to help her work off the two ounces it was still work she explained. The boys earned themselves the promise of a tickling by saying they knew of a position or two that needed no work from her. They even offered her a hands-on lesson back at the apartment at a mere five kisses per lesson.

“My burger my fault.” I agreed. “Would deducting a dollar from your Christmas bonus make amends? Good. My housekeeper will see to it.”

“Better make that two dollars Boss.” Tracy said. “I see them approaching with trays of cobbler. Good luck getting her to believe they chose blackberry all on their own. I'll double your tickling boys. Scurvy knaves don't get a Christmas bonus. Oh gods can you imagine the presents you'll get? This is your first Christmas as his sons. You will need your own bottle of medicine to cope. Lucky for you I have medical training.”

“Simone our Tracy is so dedicated to walking the healer path she even including bartender classes in her medical studies.” Dr. Deidre said.

“Oh so she's staggering down that path.” Simone said blandly. “Tracy you stagger and Rohan lurches down that path. The two of you are too exceptional to merely walk it. Innogen tells me the salve she uses is from a recipe of yours and you have less than a month of study for every year of hers.

I spent a couple of nights in the love nest and spoke to Jinsong about the energy work Rohan was doing. He explained channeling only goes so far. The knowledge and guidance may come from his lady but Rohan has to do the physical work. Opening to singing is one thing. Drawing on the chi, holding it and sharing it so delicately is all up to Rohan. That is the blessing of being in the physical form Jinsong told me. You've seen the results so there is no need for me to share any more of what Jinsong said even if I'd love to see Rohan blush.”

“Seems you said enough to get a nice blush going already.” Leslie said. “I'm sure Jinsong will share the rest with us when he is ready.”

“Are we all finished with our meal?” I asked. “Then I'd like the waiters to clear the tables. One last drink before we leave. Reginald please will you bring Joseph out to us when they've cleared our tables.”

A nervous and subdued Joseph came out to join us. I motioned him over to stand next to me. Only when I assured him nobody would be kissing him unless he asked or kissed them first did Joseph come around the tables. Moving my chair back I gave myself enough space to gently pull Joseph on to my lap.

“Have a glass of wine my friend.” I said handing him one I'd had poured earlier. “Please relax and enjoy it. I want to thank you for the light you bring to so many through this restaurant. I want to thank you for all you've done for this gang of ours. You have no need of any physical item now and if you ever do please ask me. This afternoon I'd like you to let me channel a song of thanks for you.”

The song my Lady chose was a lengthy song of thanks sung by a lover expressing his gratitude for his partner. There was enough of the love song to have Joseph sighing and blushing before it ended. Then he kissed my cheek and stayed there until we had both finished our wine. All on his own Joseph went around the tables hugging and kissing or shaking hands with everybody. We let him enter the restaurant alone and headed for the bus directly from the deck. Thank goodness Lawrence got a picture of Reginald dropping Tracy back and kissing her soundly when he saw the tip.

“Whatever I gave wasn't enough for listening to Rohan sing to Joseph.” Tracy said. “I think that is one of those priceless moments in life. I'm very happy we were recording the meal and Tim recorded the song on his phone. Now I wonder what Rohan will do for a light dinner.”

“I'm curious as well.” Simone said. “Lunch was fantastic. This has been an emotional trip but well worth it in the end. We also get to enjoy the kiss you fucketeers will receive for the decorating. I hope we get pictures from lots of angles.”

“The only question I have is how much clothing I will lose during the kiss.” Adam said. “I am still in shock and we finished a couple of days ago. Pater it's magnificent.”

Once again Tracy couldn't resist an overly large tip. This time it was the bus driver who benefited. Tracy assured him she hadn't put in an extra zero accidentally. He gave her his business card to keep handy. The others who had gone ahead were waiting for us outside the door.

I entered with Tim under my right arm and my housekeeper under the other. The kitchen looked just as magnificent. No reason not to kiss Tim again I decided. The dining room had needed very little work but it did pop. Amazing how a little art, an area rug and new dinnerware can transform a room. Oh the new chairs were stunning with their tautly stretched leather seats and golden fleur-de-lis backrests. They took my breath away. Tim insisted we sit on them. The nice thick seat would be useful tomorrow morning I told him.

The biggest transformation was in the living room. I loved the coziness of the space. How the furniture and the curtains worked to wrap themselves around you and embrace you was amazing. I could stretch out on the couch with room to spare. Simply incredible I told Tim from my reclining position. I took him in my arms for a very long kiss before we headed upstairs. The scurvy knaves, Sophie, J and Amanda got soundly kissed as well.

A fresh coat of paint in the playroom and bathroom cleaned the rooms up nicely. There were thicker towels in the bathroom but nothing else really needed changing. Tim pointed out the new light fixtures and a mirror on the wall. Then it was time to see the bedroom. Painted a charcoal gray the gauze drapes on the four-poster bed softened things nicely. There were pictures from our honeymoon shoot but apart from our kiss none of them showed our faces. I complimented Lawrence on his skill in cropping the pictures. Innogen and Simone took a while but the one picture with our faces helped them pick out who was who in the other pictures.

“More natural splendor.” Sanne said with a smile.

Innogen blushed when Sanne explained her comment.

“Teasing the ladies again with your body my Love.” Tim said kissing me. “We don't mind Innogen. Five kisses and you can speak to Lawrence about prints. The shoot is from our wedding night and one of Lawrence's employees used it in her photography class. Somebody will have them on their phone.”

Once again I had to dispense some sound kisses before leaving the room. Innogen hurried to the kitchen to brew us some tea before I started cooking. I told Innogen it was best to take a little break between the energy work I did on Bryce. Every other day seemed right and soon it would be every third day. The entire gang was still feeling full from lunch and knew we had a feast planned for tomorrow so they told me a snack more than a meal would work. I whipped up a chicken pot pie filling but instead of baking it under pastry I served it with a spinach salad. A simple steamed pudding with custard and ice cream rounded off the meal. Sanne, Bram and the kids were staying in the same hotel as Lawrence and Richard. The others had all found a bed with members of our gang.

“I'm just supervising the spanking Simone.” Bryce promised. “Dylan will lead me to the spare room so Tim and Rohan can spend this night together.”

“Naturally I intend to kiss some of Bryce's hurts better Simone but I promise he wont have to lift a finger.” Dylan said hugging her. “Thank you for trusting me.”

A few minutes later the four of us were alone, naked and enjoying a second nightcap in the living room. I stretched out with Tim on the couch. Dylan was lying next to Bryce on the love seat. I didn't want to rush upstairs so I suggested a second mystery show. Tim called me cruel. I told him he did such a good decorating job it was hard to leave the living room.

“Unlike you I didn't have Bryce to relieve the pressure my Love.” Tim said batting his eyes at me.

“I'm sure my sons made very certain to keep you happy.” I said kissing him.

“They did you proud.” Tim said. “Telling you they did a great job relieving my pressure won't get us to the bedroom quicker though so I won't say it.”

“You're very wise.” I said. “Looks like their influence is rubbing off.”

When the show ended Tim hopped up and pulled me from the couch. Dylan told Bryce that was the fastest he'd ever seen Tim move. I had complete faith in Bryce to supervise the spanking so Dylan got to join Tim. I let Dylan choose the spanking implement. He joined us a minute later with tawes in hand. I agreed it had been a while since we enjoyed playing with the tawes.

The two boys bent over and placed their hands on the bench at the foot of the bed. I wasted very little time getting through the warm up. Bryce stretched out on the bed in front of them. Guiding me by the sound and their facial expressions Bryce ensured the boys got a very nice spanking. He even tortured them by extending it an extra twelve strokes. I told him he had judged it perfectly and to ignore the squealing of the two rapscallions.

“Squealing? Us Brits don't squeal Scoundrel.” Tim said. “We howl and beg for mercy. Oh gods Scoundrel please fuck me. I need you to spank me with your cock.”

“Bring that erection of yours closer Dylan.” I said as I placed Tim on the bed.

Tim lay with his ass at the edge of the bed. I knelt on the bench and pulled Tim closer to me. Watching him slide down my cock was such a hot sight. When I was balls deep inside him I swallowed Dylan's cock. Bryce moved down the bed to kneel next to Dylan. Ignoring Bryce's cock wasn't easy but I wanted him to treat Dylan to a good fuck. I let Bryce and Dylan kiss while I helped myself to some cock and ass.

Alas all good things tend to come to an end and soon there was a lot of cum flowing from the ends of three cocks. Bryce had reached down to stroke Tim's cock. He got Tim to unload first and the sight of cum streaming from Tim's cock was all Dylan and me needed to empty our balls. I smiled up at Dylan and Bryce as I withdrew from Tim.

“Stay right there and don't move Tim.” I said firmly. “Don't even twitch.”

Scooping Dylan and Bryce from the bed I carried them to the spare room. No sense in showering before you've had a ride on Bryce's cock I told Dylan. Warning them that Bryce still had to take it easy I gave them a quick kiss and hurried back to Tim. I promised Tim a spanking for letting his cum cool so quickly. Fortunately it still tasted delicious. The rest of him tasted delicious as well as I found out in the shower. I was still making a meal of my husband in the shower when Dylan led Bryce in to the bathroom. They helped speed things along by washing us. I gave them a couple of thank you kisses.

“These towels are incredible.” I said a few minutes later. “Great choice Tim.”

“Joseph showed them to me when I asked how to make the bathroom experience more luxurious.” Tim said. “We're going to take more bubble-baths Scoundrel. Once we've gone shopping for bath salts and soaps.”

“He's too modest so I'll tell you.” Dylan said from the shower. “Tim has bravely ordered every one of our gang these towels. Three each.”

“My Love they've been so good to me.” Tim said. “Yes it will mean a lot of kisses but I couldn't resist. You don't mind do you?”

“Why would I mind you being sweet and spoiling our family?” I asked. “Thank you Tim it is a very nice gesture. Hold still while I kiss you.”

“Please kiss me while you carry me to bed.” Tim said. “I think the spanking and sex caused my resistance to crumble. Suddenly I'm feeling a little overwhelmed.”

I lay with Tim in my arms while he released all the excitement. He thanked me several times for letting him redecorate the apartment. Seeing my joy at the changes had been a relief. Now he truly did feel like he had a home and a family. I was still holding him when he fell asleep. How angelic he looked. My home. My Love.

Early the next morning I went downstairs to meditate on the balcony. An hour later at five I went up to the spare bedroom to wake Bryce and Dylan with under-the-cover blowjobs. Then I carried them through to my bedroom and ordered them to stay there until I told them they could get up. I was downstairs brewing tea and coffee for the guys when the scurvy newlyweds arrived. Adam told me Tim had bought a couple of bed trays. They found one for me and followed as I carried it upstairs. Dylan was demonstrating how I'd woken him on Tim. Bryce made a face but sipped on his tea.

“The two of you newlyweds better be naked when I finish giving Tim his good morning kiss.” I warned.

Three-minutes later I had them both over my knees with their legs trapped beneath my right leg. The tawes soon had their cheeks a nice cherry-red. I had a lot to do this morning so I spanked them hard and fast. They were rubbing at their asses when I laid them on the foot of the bed. Morgan was on top of Adam. I lubed both their asses and began fucking them without so much as a kiss.

No foreplay. No tenderness. No going slow. No gentleness. No holding back.

I emptied myself inside Morgan in double-quick time. The three spectators applauded me for unloading before the newlyweds. A quick licking to clean the two of them and I was carrying them under my arms to the bathroom. By the time they finished washing me I was hard again. This load ended up in Adam's ass. While I dressed in the bedroom I warned the three in my bed not to get up unless it was to use the bathroom. Dylan was in charge of making certain they stayed in bed. Adam and Morgan were helping me with breakfast.

Adam took a fresh pot of tea and a flask of coffee up to the three of them on the other tray. I actually called Phyllis in England to get her advice on how to plan my cooking. Morgan was so shocked he added some Scotch to his coffee. Instead of waffles she suggested I do pancakes. The sausages could cook in the oven next to the potatoes which I could parboil to speed up their cooking. Saute the vegetables and turn them into a scramble with the eggs at the last-minute as people arrived she told me. Start the first round of stews on the stove and let them finish cooking in the slow cookers while the second round of stews was cooking on the stove Phyllis told me. Bread could bake in the bread machines and the boys could prepare their cakes while the stews simmered. Morgan made notes in his phone. I told her she was brilliant.

“Please take this up to my room.” I said holding the bed tray out to my housekeeper. “I'll have your coffee waiting when you get back. Thank you.”

Innogen and Simone were itching to check on Bryce but I made them wait until their eggs were ready so they could join Bryce for breakfast. Breakfast could be informal because it would be balanced by lunch I told Tracy. I could live with everybody being scattered around the apartment this morning. Abby was very impressed by how organized we were. She laughed when Morgan let her know I'd called England. Tracy complimented me for making use of all my resources just like Lao had suggested.

“Rohan I hope you don't mind me joining you for breakfast.” Mason said arriving with Lawrence and Richard. “Lawrence insisted I enjoy as much of your cooking while I'm here.”

“I don't mind at all.” I said. “The breakfast is a little informal but lunch will be more civilized. J and Bram have promised to figure out the seating after breakfast. Would you mind giving them a hand?”

“Happy to help them.” Mason said taking his plate and heading out to join the others.

Leslie promised to go have a word with Tim when she had finished her breakfast. Tracy and my housekeeper relieved Morgan and Adam so they could eat. A few minutes later Abby told me to go eat. She would take my place for the rest of breakfast. Petersen's vote of approval for my breakfast system was the best possible praise.

Leslie went upstairs and returned immediately. She took Lawrence and his camera up. When he returned Lawrence showed us a picture of Innogen and Simone lying between the boys. Tim was the lucky guy lying between the two girls. I thought taking the picture with him sipping tea was perfect. The picture of Dylan leaning in to kiss Simone's cheek while Bryce kissed Innogen's cheek was very sweet. Charlotte wanted prints of both.

The three boys insisted on kissing me when they all came downstairs. Bryce didn't want to stay upstairs on his own. He could just as easily lie on the sofa I agreed. All the doctors, Lao, Jinsong and Mu would be here soon. I explained my plans for lunch to Petersen. He spoke to Bram who promised to set up the slow cookers in an easily accessible area. Petersen agreed to let me do the stews while he helped with the prep. Leif gave him a hand. I set out some glass bowls with all the bread ingredients measured so my housekeeper could bake the bread. She didn't lack for any volunteers to help. Lao told the boys he would go fetch Zumu for lunch but he didn't want her tiring herself by coming over too early. He told me he had gotten permission from the group to kidnap me for the afternoon.

“Different table linens just won't do my Love.” Tim said. “Bram is going shopping for a folding table that meets Lao's suggestions. The fucketeers are going shopping for table linens and napkins. You're certain you can do without the fucketeers for an hour or so? Good. Come along guys. Oh, I almost forgot. Where can we get candles? Thanks Juliet.”

I insisted the three of us could manage the stews and enjoyed my time with Petersen and Leif. Leif agreed it was just like the good old days when we started out. Others started joining us to listen to our reminiscing. The first round of stews made it to the slow cookers right on schedule. I suggested to the other two we take a break on the balcony. We were on our way back to the kitchen when the intrepid shoppers returned.

“We didn't lose Tim.” Dylan said. “He's behind that large load of moving boxes. Well he was when we started up to the apartment.”

“He's still there.” Adam called out from behind Tim. “We nearly lost him to the candle shop. Brace yourself Juliet. He plans on giving you lots of kisses.”

“I'm sure I'll survive with all these doctors and healers on hand.” Juliet said.

Despite our need to get started on the cooking we had to see what Tim had bought. Morgan told Lucille he had talked Tim into leaving three or four candles in the store. Tim had bought so many candles they'd needed to come up with an inventive solution for candle holders. Shallow ceramic plant pots turned upside down was Bram's clever solution. I laughed and kissed Tim when Sophie counted the boxes of candles and calculated Tim had bought two hundred and fifty candles. Tracy agreed with Abby that Tim was becoming more and more like me every day. My housekeeper was curious to know what Tim had spent on the table linens if he was happy to spend a thousand on candles. The table linens and planters had cost slightly less than the candles.

The fucketeers promised they'd be ready to do their baking in an hour. Even without the candles being lit the place looked stunning. Leif told Tim he was a natural at decorating and hosting dinners. Mason couldn't wait to see the room in the candlelight. When it was time for the baking to begin Petersen told the fucketeers to call on him if they needed any help. I went out to the balcony to join Ivan in a beer and a Polish cigarette. Leslie told me Tim would be fine in a couple of days. He just needed a little time to get used to having his own home. I thought that's what it was but wanted him to chat about it.

Petersen got called in once to check on the batter. The boys didn't want things to go wrong. Bryce really wanted to serve me a good chocolate cake. Patricia was joining us to check on Bryce and make certain he wouldn't poison the kids again. The boys would keep baking while Bryce was healing. Naturally she led Bryce to one side for a lengthy scolding. He agreed with me that a spanking would have been more embarrassing. Then he told me Patricia had promised to spank him if he ever tried to prove himself more stubborn than me a second time. A stunned Clifton and Hans were staring at the tables laden with bread. They each had a large piece of hot bread slathered with butter in hand.

“You're housekeeper asked us to taste it and check it is good.” Hans explained. “Try a little. We think it's very good.”

“I think so to.” I said accepting the piece he broke off his slice. “The butter is also pretty tasty.”

“We're going to light the candles soon.” Clifton added. “Tim bought some long lighters so we can reach.”

My housekeeper and Marikie stayed close as they set about their task. We all moved back to the living room so Lawrence could take pictures of the table setting. He also took a picture of me kissing Tim for setting such a lovely table. A fitting tribute for the decorating job he'd done. Zumu kissed him on the way to the table.

“I want to thank everybody for their hard work and supporting Bryce in his healing.” I said when we were all seated. “I'd like Jinsong and Clifton to start the blessing. I don't know what you've taught Clifton but I'm certain my Lady will be able to join in.”

They began with a chant that was so beautiful I waited a few minutes before joining them. When they paused my Lady shifted to another chant. I saw Lao and Daizan's eyes widen in surprise. Jinsong smiled and joined in. Clifton listened to us repeat it twice before he joined in. After the next pause we took it up a notch with another chant. This time Daizan and Lao joined in the chant. Turning to Tim I urged him to try it with a motion of my hand. Gradually the chant spread from person to person.

“There are some chants that we must share with caution because they are very transformative.” I said at the end. “The one you just participated in has been kept secret simply to justify the rank and titles in a religious tradition. My Lady asks us to remember if a person isn't open they will not benefit from chants like these but there's no danger and it will bless the space surrounding us. In essence she is telling Daizan he is right to feel the way he does and to follow his heart in breaking some traditions.

Now that we've had some fun let us enjoy lunch. Thank you Tim for getting us some more serving bowls and platters while you were out. Please go ahead everybody.”

“I asked them to wait earlier Boss.” Tracy said. “J and Bram will help me pour everybody a shot of Genta's Polish mineral water. Hans and Clifton did very well at their practice so I'm sure they'll be fine. Are we all ready? Then I'd like to propose a toast to the new home.”

“The new home!” we said knocking back our shot.

Nobody hesitated to dish up after the toast. The boys were starting with purple chicken. They had wine ready to go with it. I chose to start with the lamb stew. The new cookware had worked better than advertised. Petersen had tried to get me to buy some for years Leif told Tim. I admitted I was afraid of the commitment. Daizan reminded them that I was as much an orphan as Tim. My parents might not have died physically but our separation had been permanent. When Daizan told them being homeless was easier for me on many levels than having a home you could see the understanding dawning.

“So my Love is dear Daizan saying what I think he's saying?” Tim asked. “I really decorated a home for you, me and your sons? Your first home is our first home. We really are setting down roots together aren't we? Tracy where's your medicine bottle? I need a double dose. We'll make it through Leslie. Between Rohan's incredible mind and my incredible good looks we can handle anything. Nobody does what-for like us.”

“That reminds me.” I said. “Thank you Sophie some of the beef stew would be wonderful. Oh yes the what-for. We need a space to practice our sparring. Lao it is very kind of you to offer but we need our own space. There will be times when the emotions of setting up a home get to me.”

“What about the chapel and garden?” Adam asked. “Surely between it and the cabin you will be okay.”

“That would work but I might find the setting a little distracting.” I said. “I have a lot of emotion invested in that space. That was my first project after I chose to leave the streets.”

“Tracy needs to get more into the Order routine.” my housekeeper said quietly but in a tone that drew my attention. “We've been discussing moving in to an apartment together because our leases end soon. Rohan would you mind having Tracy and me as your tenants? Yes I do have to ask.”

“I'll accept only if you agree to pay me what you were budgeting on even if my new property would rent for more.” I said looking her straight in the eye. “Does that make sense?”

“Boss we were planning on getting a place for a $1000.” Tracy said. “Your smart, attractive housekeeper obviously has a property in mind that will allow us to do our sunrise meditation and spar. Are you saying no matter how much the market value for renting such a place is you'll only accept $1000 in rent?”

“Yes Tracy that's exactly what I'm saying.” I said.

“We'll accept if you think the property works for you.” my housekeeper said. “Tracy he didn't try to get us to live there rent free. Would you mind if I took some of the guys to see it while you have your meeting after lunch? I'd like all of you attending the meeting to see it as well. Daizan I hope it won't make your return too late.”

“Lao let us know beforehand about this meeting so we are staying the night at a hotel.” Daizan said. “One that Lawrence and Sanne recommended. I think we will have much to discuss tomorrow but even if we don't I plan on spending another night or two here.”

“I take it the property is pretty close?” I said. “Then I see no problem. I just keep dumping more and more work on our decorators. Do you think we need to look at getting somebody else to help ease the workload? There's the boys love nest as well. Sounds like we have some more visitors. I think I hear the door opening.”

“Stephen we must have gotten off on the wrong floor.” Belinda said. “I can't imagine Rohan finally got the balls to finish decorating this place and make it a home.”

“Never mind the wisecracks just get your cute ass in my lap so I can kiss you.” I said. “You scurvy knaves can wait your turn. This time I get the kisses first. Have another beer.”

“We got done in Toronto a day earlier than expected.” Belinda said between kisses. “We were going to check the on the repairs to the chapter house tomorrow but since we had today free we thought we'd pop in. You don't mind do you?”

“No we don't.” Dylan said. “Hand her over Dad. You've got your five kisses.”

Sophie handed Stephen a plate while J offered some food to Belinda. They were glad to see Petersen, Leif and Brother Michael here. I told Belinda we'd update her when we had finished lunch. Tim blushed when I gave him credit for making my apartment a home. Belinda thought it a good thing I was away when he did it. Once again I waited for Zumu to go to the bathroom before letting people know we'd be serving a small round of desert but there was plenty more. Dr. Deidre told Lao she didn't mind getting their to-go parcels together. Sophie and Amanda offered to help her but Abby told Sophie she'd served the main course so she had to sit this out.

“I think Rohan is having flashbacks to my last chocolate cake and just wants a small slice to test it.” Bryce said. “Tim was praising Rohan's mind a little while ago.”

“There's no bruising on your butt yet.” I warned. “I know because I did energy healing on him this week Belinda. How else would I know?”

“Maybe from getting a glimpse of him in the shower.” Belinda said calmly. “Oh it was a hot tub was it. Thank you for correcting me Innogen. Very important to get the facts right.”

“There was a shower next to the hot tub.” Bryce said. “There's a lot to catch up on Belinda. Excuse me but I have some cakes to frost. Rohan and Tracy insisted on making the custard. They're a little more experienced at it than me.”

I had fun making the custard with Tracy. She loved cooking in the new kitchen so much she had to slip out and kiss Tim. Abby thanked us and took control of the ladle when we finished. There was no comparison between the cakes. This one was superb. Petersen agreed with me that Joseph had no rivals. The best we could hope for was to come close.

“Rohan you're spanking me for poisoning you and now you're spanking me for making you gain an ounce.” Bryce said. “I can't win can I?”

“Sounds like a win-win situation to me.” Adam said.

“And me.” Dylan added. “You don't seem terribly upset.”

“After watching you and Tim last night I'll need a couple of spankings to cure my jealousy.” Bryce said. “Rohan rubbed it in with the newlyweds this morning just to get me really primed. I hope your energy work keeps working this fast Rohan so you can settle up soon.”

“Later today I plan on doing a little more.” I said. “I was hoping to talk Petersen into staying and working his magic on the leftovers later while I did the energy work.”

“We need to stay and chat about A Chocolate Leaf.” Leif said. “I'm not certain if Stephen wants to join you and the healers or if he wants to have meeting with us.”

“I'll let Belinda deal with the religious and healing aspect of our Order while we have our meeting.” Stephen said. “The others are right in saying this dessert is as good as any Rohan could create. Thank you guys for baking all these cakes.”

We all pitched in to get things back together while Lao drove Zumu home. Tim gave Belinda and Stephen a tour of the upstairs while we got the dining room and living room together. They loved the dramatic change in my office. Dylan contemplated chatting to Mason about a commission because all our guests were falling in love with Millie's art. When Tim mentioned that was another story that needed updating Belinda said it sounded like an eventful week.

“Getting caught up on the last week will take at least a day Belinda.” Leslie said. “Two days if you have questions. We're not being evasive but if we tell you a little then it will leave things unanswered. Once you start asking questions we will be here for hours. We'll stick to the essentials when we give you the reason for our meeting. You'll have to live with some unanswered questions for a little while.”

“Naturally Rohan was responsible for a lot that happened but this time he did everything right.” Tracy said. “Brother Michael feels he was too restrained.”

“That's a first.” Stephen said. “We'll listen and see how much we can learn today and tomorrow. I still want to check the chapter house tomorrow. We might linger a day or two to satisfy our curiosity. I'll get ad update fro Belinda tonight. Then I'll have a better idea of how to schedule my week.”

“Tuesday is a lot more open than Monday.” I said. “Here's Lao. I suggest we get started. This lot can't wait to see what my housekeeper is cooking up for me.”

Daizan, Mu, Lao, Jinsong, Tracy, Innogen, Leslie, Dr. Phyllis, Dr, Deidre, Catherine, Teresa and Belinda went up to the spare room with me. We brought in some extra chairs but I ended up sitting on the chest with Tracy. Dr. Deidre passed a folder to Belinda that contained photographs and their initial reports on Bryce. Innogen had printed out her notes from the cabin. Dr. Deidre and Dr. Phyllis had examined Bryce this morning. All Belinda needed to see was the before and after pictures.

“When Lao told me making the trip to cabin would be interesting I don't think even he imagined how interesting.” Jinsong said surprisingly opening the discussion. “I know Rohan will say the credit must go to his Lady but they are a team. Being a channel takes courage and humility. You have to allow another entity to make use of your mind and concede they know more than you. Now that somebody has reminded us it makes perfect sense using the two central channels as the foundation for the healing.

Belinda imagine you have set up ditches to irrigate a field. There are two main irrigation ditches that run down the middle of the field and lots of smaller ditches leading from these two. Suppose there is a heavy storm that fills these smaller ditches with debris. You can go around cleaning the individual ditches or you can slowly increase the amount of water in the two main channels. This increases the water pressure in the smaller channels. You do it slowly because if you sent too much water down too soon it would spill over right at the start of the smaller channel where the debris is blocking it or cause the channel to burst. Doing it with a trickle you give the water time to erode the obstructing material.

Is my explanation making sense? Yes Dr. Deidre there is the risk of losing the crop if you take too long to erode the debris and clear the channel. This is where the skill of controlling the flow of water comes in. That is why I have told Rohan his skill in applying the knowledge shared by his Lady saved Lao from being embarrassed. We also had Innogen and Lao working to keep an eye on Bryce while the energy work settled in. Once the energy or water flow got restored the crop that we call Bryce suddenly started to look a lot better very quickly. Rohan judged the flow of chi perfectly.”

“That's a good analogy.” Dr. Deidre said. “I have seen how quickly one of my plants can recover if I forget to water it for a while. The change in Bryce was just as dramatic. So that's why Rohan's lady suggested waiting. She knew it needed a two-pronged system. Like the farmer clearing some of the debris by hand so the crops would survive long enough for the water to finish the erosion work.”

“That would also explain why Rohan couldn't do energy work every day.” Tracy said. “This would have increased the water pressure too quickly. Lao has told me healing is about relaxing and letting the chi flow without resistance. The herbs and chi combine here like water and manual clean-up to get things flowing again. Is it possible to do healing solely with chi and nothing else?”

“Yes it is possible as one man demonstrated two thousand years ago.” Jinsong said. “However it is important to remember he gave credit to the patient's faith. There are very few patients who would be able to believe chi alone would stop the flow of blood from a serious wound. Healing is about respecting the patient's beliefs at the moment you are treating him. Once you have stitched and bandaged the wound the patient will feel secure enough to allow the chi to help him heal.

Bryce may have been open to the chi because he knew he was drinking a healing tea or he was so badly hurt the energy work Rohan did was able to bypass the doubts of his conscious mind. My feeling is it is a little of both. Instinctively he knew the chi would help him heal so he allowed it in. He also has a lot of faith in Rohan. That could be part of why Rohan's lady chose to wait. You need to assess if the patient is responding to a particular treatment. There is no point in pouring more energy into Bryce if he isn't going to use it. Also you need to see how he responds. A lot easier to add chi than remove it.”

“By being cautious she was following the advice to do no harm.” Innogen said. “Lao we must chat some more about this please.”

“I am still confused.” Belinda said. “How was the chi eroding stuff? I mean a bruise is a sign of damaged cells. Does the chi help them recover faster or does the chi wash away the damaged cells to create a space for healthy cells to fill? Jinsong when you say both are correct you are not doing anything to lessen my confusion.”

“How the chi works is dependent on the beliefs of the patient.” Lao said. “Exceptional people like Jesus or the Buddha may have been able to hold no personal beliefs and observe how chi worked in the pure environment of their body. Speaking for myself I must confess I am still working to dissolve my personal beliefs. Until my personal beliefs are fully dissolved they will shape my experience. Chi is a living thing interacting with us through the filter of our beliefs. Your scientists now realize that in every experiment their participation impacts the results. They might be more open-minded than most but they still have limiting beliefs.”

“So that is why if Tracy uses chi in a workout it will differ from what Rohan experiences.” Teresa said. “We are all unique so all of us use and experience it differently. The common experiences would stem from our shared beliefs. Stuff like water is wet or the seat I am sitting on is solid. All of us can accept chi is healing and can give a person extra strength. Like somebody lifting a car off an accident victim or child. We call it adrenaline.”

“Our inner fields are different.” Tracy said. “We have different beliefs or crops and the damage from past storms or experiences will leave different amounts of debris in each of us. The water nourishes the crops no matter what they are. So this Universal energy or chi or light supports our free will by nourishing whatever beliefs or crops we choose to hold. Oh gods I'm in danger of getting a dose of religion. Where's my medicine bottle?”

“Yes Lao I agree it is unlikely she will ever embarrass us er you.” Jinsong said. “Innogen we could use the wonderful explanation Tracy gave to spend several decades discussing the philosophical implications. Religious orders have spent centuries extrapolating what Tracy just described.”

“Let me give you an idea of what Jinsong means.” Daizan said. “Using Tracy's example my father Genta once asked me if a man seeks guidance on living a spiritual life are those beliefs of past hurts entirely washed away and new crops planted in the emptiness? Could it be possible that instead of washing away the plants the water might just wash away some outer leaves to reveal a beautiful flower?”

“Literally seeing things in a new light.” Dr. Phyllis said. “A flower will look different in sunlight than in a torrential downpour.”

“This has been a fascinating discussion but it has also been a lengthy one.” Leslie said. “I think we should give ourselves some time to mull it over and meet again to discuss Rohan's experiences or ask questions. Can we agree to get together again on Tuesday? I think ten o'clock would be a good time. That way Rohan can still cook us dinner. Tracy please arrange something for lunch.”

“Glad I'm not the only one bursting with curiosity to see what Rohan's housekeeper has in mind.” Catherine said. “We could all do with a break. The next time I might have to bring a medicine bottle with me as well.”

Sanne, Bram and the children had left because the kids had school tomorrow. Stephen told us he had contemplated sending in a rescue team. The boys' excitement was palpable and they kept looking at my housekeeper with awed expressions. My housekeeper suggested we all get ourselves a drink.

“Go on. Out with it Tim.” I said. “You can't hold it in any longer.”

“I'm so glad you get to do this for your housekeepers.” Tim said. “We can't believe your housekeeper has come so far so quickly. You might need to convince Tracy though.”

“I'll take care of it.” Abby said. “Leslie can back me up.”

“We'll have to divide our group between the two elevators.” Tim said. “We'll meet you there. I'll take this lot.”

A few minutes later we were standing in the foyer to the penthouse on the top of my apartment building.

“This will be perfect.” I said hugging my housekeeper. “Poor Tracy has just realized she might have caught a dose of religion and now she has to cope with living in a penthouse. What do you think the chances are of her looking at the penthouse as a benefit of religion?”

“Right now I'd say those chances are slim to none.” my housekeeper said as we watched Abby draw Tracy in to her arms. “Standing out here isn't helping. Come along Tracy it's time to see your new home. Rohan has agreed it is perfect.”

“He hasn't seen it yet.” Tracy protested. “He's the boss. This should be his place.”

“I've just finished decorating the apartment so we're not moving.” Tim said. “We aren't going anywhere for another few years. Tracy would it really bother you if you were a live-in housekeeper for Rohan? You spend so much time with us already you might as well be one. Glad you agree. When Rohan buys this penthouse and you move in it will be as a live-in housekeeper with a $500 monthly pay cut.”

“Tim you are brilliant.” Abby said throwing herself at him and kissing him. “That's a great way of looking at it.”

“Are you certain you weren't listening in to our conversation?” Leslie asked. “Dr. Phyllis mentioned seeing things in a new light. Tracy can practice this now or when she sobers up.”

“That might be long after her lease expires.” Dylan said.

“Let me giver her a hand.” I said taking the key from my housekeeper. “Here's the key to your new apartment Tracy. Care to show us around? You're my successor which means you will be hosting meetings when I am away. You cannot host them in a regular apartment. I'm sorry Tracy but it is time. I'll help you finish it.”

“You are the meanest, stubbornest, bullying, kindest and most-loving Boss in the world.” Tracy announced taking a long pull on her bottle. “Are you going to do that chi thingy on me? Yes I do want. Please.”

“Okay.” I said taking a swig from her bottle. “Tracy if I can channel a choir I can drink and follow my Lady's guidance at the same time. All I'm doing is a repeat of what I did for Bryce except a shorter version. I will do more for you in the morning but this will tide you over. No you don't have to come over. I wouldn't drag you out of bed that early even if Brother Michael wasn't here.”

“Why are you lot standing here in the foyer?” Tracy asked as I drained the last of the vodka. “Come in and see my new place. Tim get your cute butt over here and give me some advice on how to decorate the place. I saw you chatting to Joseph. This is a lovely little place I get to call home. We have a clean slate and my landlord doesn't know the meaning of the word budget. He's asked me to take care of it for him. I'll consult with him about it when we've taken care of the details. He's very busy for the next few weeks.”

I pulled my housekeeper close as we entered the apartment. She smiled when I told her we'd need to work on the entrance so we didn't have to enter her living space on our way to spar. My housekeeper told us the entire roof area came with the penthouse when Lao asked about an addition. He smiled when I told him we'd need a separate entrance to the training area or the boys would stop to kiss my housekeepers and never make it to the training room.

“No privacy outside for weapons training and you don't want an arrow going over the edge of the roof.” Lao said. “One long addition with fold-away beds so you have guest rooms that can become school rooms, offices and one long sparring room. You can use roll-up doors to separate the rooms. Blinds attached to the doors can provide privacy. This will allow you to adjust the size of the sparring area. Tracy can work in one section while the boys or Rohan work out in the other two rooms.”

“I like that a lot.” I said. “Belinda will be glad for me to have a place to practice my archery. Personally I would feel the need for an extra bathroom.”

“We would have to speak to an architect but I think we could have one on each end of the addition.” Lao said. “Rohan I would like you to keep some of your donations to my church and invest in a small healing space here. There are a lot of students in the city who would benefit from such a space. Tracy will need a space soon to keep her herbs and other stuff.”

“You can speak to Frederick and work out something that is fair between you.” I said. “My only concern is how this will impact my housekeeper. She will be living here and I don't want her disturbed by the noise of our sparring or classes. We need to make certain there is a separate entrance and give her privacy. She also needs a private outdoor space.”

“Rohan I'm certain your architect and Sanne can come up with something that will make your tenants here very happy.” my housekeeper said with a smile.

“They had better or I'll spank them both.” I said firmly. “Let them know I will be checking on their designs. They will have to convince me all this traffic and other activity won't disturb you. When deciding what furniture you wish to bring from your apartments remember I'd like to rent this to you fully furnished. I also know there might be a few pieces of furniture you're attached to so let our designers, decorators and gardeners know.”

“What has our illustrious boss been up to while we were gone?” Tracy asked approaching with Tim in hand.

“Planning additions, protecting our privacy and making sure we know the place comes furnished.” my housekeeper said.

“Good to know things are right in the world.” Tracy said calmly. “I'm ready for some dinner. Anybody care to join me? Come along Petersen. I'll give you a hand getting it ready. The boys will keep Leif distracted with kisses.”

“That's an amazing transformation in Tracy.” Abby said as we headed back to the apartment. “I wouldn't have believed it if I hadn't been here to see it. Tracy you are doing so well.”

“I'm not doing all that well.” Tracy admitted. “What I'm doing is trusting Rohan and his Lady to work their chi magic on me before I fall apart. Yes Lao I'm pretty certain you'll have teas and smoothies to replace my medicine bottle. Jinsong the only reason I let go of the medicine bottle was to avoid Rohan giving me one of those spankings you never want to get from him. He told me months ago I'd be giving it up. I think he's waited long enough.”

“We'll chat after dinner Couch-Sister.” Leslie said. “I'm very proud of you. Now you have an idea of what Rohan went through when he shed his absent-minded professor role.”

“You'll want to bring Brother Murray and Sister Celeste back with you Stephen.” Brother Michael said. “They are the best at designing training areas. You might have to pull rank though. They're worried about catching up on the paperwork that backed up while they were gone.”

“They can bring it with them and we'll help them clear it on Tuesday afternoon.” I said. “Catherine I will need to work out at an ungodly hour on Tuesday morning. Tomorrow afternoon Jinsong is pounding some new martial arts wisdom into me. You can let me know the time tomorrow. My ungodly hours don't fill up that often.”

“That's another property to add to your empire Dad.” Dylan said giving me a high-five. “You've been on a roll.”

“Once I find a reason to buy one property several more follow pretty quickly.” I said. “Then things seem to die down when the energy has dissipated.”

“Does it ever dissipate Rohan mon?” Eddie asked. “You've done it from the time we met. This helping others mon. On and on it goes. When you stop to take a breath your friends are buying properties. Benjamin bought two just to give one away. Tim inspired him. Yes Rohan it was the second warehouse. There's more to the story but I think you should find out from them when you speak to your decorators after dinner.”

“Rohan you couldn't torment Tim by keeping him waiting until tomorrow morning to chat about this project.” Jocelyn said. “You'll have him and Tracy working on it before they go to sleep tonight. You haven't taken a breath between these projects.”

“That's okay because Bryce needs something to stop him from getting bored.” I said. “He can help Tim and Tracy find stuff and decide on the furniture. Now excuse me while I take our chefs their drinks.”

The boys helped me prepare some cobblers when Tracy and Petersen finished cooking dinner. We sat down to eat while the cobbler baked. Right at ten we called Emily and Caryn.

“I'm still at home Rohan.” Caryn said in her robe. “Tracy give the two British hooligans a call and have them join us on Skype. I'll get some coffee.”

“I believe Christopher and Garth have some good news for us.” I said when the four of them joined us.

“Benjamin has given us the second warehouse with just a few conditions attached.” Christopher said. “We will use some of the space for sparring and training. The other sixty per cent will be a shelter for street kids and a small medical facility. Naturally there will be gardens and a playground for the kids. I think Benjamin wants a place to play with them as well. He insisted on paying for everything.”

“That piece of good news just made my week.” Caryn said. “So I've got Tim's development, twenty houses in Blyth, six more in Winchester, a warehouse and whatever Rohan is about to add to my plate. Go ahead Rohan. Spill it.”

“I'm sure I could find another decorator if you're so busy.” I said. “This is just a penthouse for my housekeepers.”

“There is no such thing as just a penthouse with you Rohan.” Caryn said. “You did like what your three decorating stooges did to your apartment didn't you? Then nobody else can decorate the penthouse for your housekeepers but the three of us. I can't wait to see Tomek's face when he hears who he is decorating for this time. Who are we working with?”

“Tim and Tracy with help from my housekeeper and Bryce.” I said. “Bryce needs something to keep him from being bored while he recovers from his accident. You won't return to work until the weekend Bryce. The boys will help you bake for the kids. Frederick will buy the penthouse for me tomorrow. Emily please send Tracy the contact details for an architect. We have to add a small addition to the place. I'll let Tracy explain this in a moment.”

“Emily the four of us will go online tomorrow and send you some pictures of what we like.” Tracy promised. “Tim has emailed you the plans for the penthouse as it is now. We are adding on a long addition with roll-up doors to create a sparring area that doubles as guest rooms and offices. I'll include it in my email. Lao also wants a healing space.”

“Daddy dearest wants it super, super, super-insulated from the rest of the apartment.” Adam said. “He'll be on the next flight over with a tawes in hand if he can hear the sound of our sparring from the living room. I want them to know you'll be a little miffed if your housekeeper gets disturbed on her tea break Pater. Wasn't there also something about the entrance that needed to change? That's it. We need a separate entrance to the addition.”

“This time Rohan is right in saying we'd end up in bed with his housekeepers before we made it to the sparing area.” Morgan confessed.

“Emily please make a note of that somewhere.” Caryn said. “Now I'm off to bed for a few more hours. I'm trying to make up for all the early mornings when Rohan was here Leslie. That's a lot of interrupted sleep and sex. Please pass on my regards to Marion when you chat with her in the morning Morgan.”

“I will.” Morgan promised. “Adam why don't we follow Caryn's good example and got catch up on some sleep and sex?”

They weren't the only ones who thought it a good idea. Lao thanked me for not embarrassing him earlier when I did my energy work on Bryce. Tracy promised to have the architect consult with him about the addition and healing space. Innogen took Dylan up on his offer to spend the night in his room so Sophie and J could give her a ride back here in the morning. I promised she would be able to leave early tomorrow and get settled back in her own home. Tracy told her we were paying for a maid service to help her get caught up and to let us know what time worked best for her. Innogen felt embarrassed and confessed her place was a little disorganized so it might be a while before she had the maids over. Tracy told her we'd help her with the organizing as well.

“Bryce is very special to us and others have asked if they could get you a little something as a thank you.” I said holding her hands. “Tomorrow morning in between dosing Bryce with tea and applying salve to his bruises I'd like you to chat with some professional organizers to help you set up a system.”

“There are a couple Emily has us consult on some of our decorating projects for her.” Amanda said. “I have some time tomorrow and will help arrange it with you Innogen. When you are busy helping others it is hard to keep things straight at home. Especially when you're on your own. We'll figure something out. You won't lack for help now. Look at the size of this group. There's always somebody who can spare an hour or two.”

“There you see it won't take very long to get your space in order.” I said. “I'm sure if I promised to make some pasties for dinner tomorrow with a trifle for dessert Leslie will agree to chat with you if you need help with anything. Get a good night's rest. We'll see you at breakfast.”

I decided it was time for Bryce to receive his spanking for poisoning me. Tim agreed there was no reason for Dylan to feel left out. There was a sofa for me to use and a loveseat for him. Hairbrushes from two feet would provide very nice chastisement. A naked Tim hurried upstairs to get us a couple of hairbrushes while I lubricated the two miscreants.

“Are you certain you have enough lubricant in them Scoundrel?” Tim asked after watching for a minute or two.

“There's only one way to know.” I said. “A trial run is in order.”

“No you wouldn't.” Dylan said. “Oh gods you would.”

“Looks like you did a splendid job on Dylan.” Tim said as he drove slowly in and out of Dylan's ass.

“I think Bryce is nicely coated as well.” I said withdrawing from Bryce. “Hold your positions. You've gotten us hard so your spanking gets delayed while we kiss the tension better.”

“What about our tension?” Dylan asked.

“Good question.” I said kneeling in front of Tim. “What about it?”

Dylan tried to explain but I kept right on worshiping Tim's cock. I began by anointing it with kisses. Then opening my mouth I slid down his wonderful erection. My hands immediately cupped Tim's cheeks. His hands were lightly guiding the pace of his blowjob. Tim prolonged his pleasure very nicely. I got to savor the taste and smell of him for several wonderful minutes. He had surrendered and drifted so deep within the pleasure he almost missed warning me. I smacked his ass a couple of times to bring him back. This brought him back and got him off.

Settling in one of the armchairs I looked over Tim's head to the boys. They looked so cute bent forward with their hands on the loveseat. Spreading my legs I slid down a little so Tim could get more of my cock in his mouth. When my balls started to rise I lifted Tim off me for a few kisses. I thanked him for pleasuring me. Almost there I told him. Dylan didn't think now was a good time to break for a nightcap. Reluctantly we agreed with him that we did have an earlyish meeting at the gallery. My son's sigh of relief made us smile at each other. Tim returned to his task. This time he added some stroking to help me work out the tension faster. I clenched my ass and raised my hips under his ministrations. I groaned deeply as the tingling started up my leg. My body jerked as I fed Tim my load in spurts.

“Now where were we Tim?” I asked pulling him on my lap for a kiss or two.

“I think we were about to have a nightcap and go to sleep.” Tim said. “We do have that meeting in the morning. I can't believe you want a spanking this late at night Dylan. You really must ask for it earlier.”

“My housekeeper will be upset at us missing curfew.” I said. “We'd better spank them or else they will keep us awake all night with their whining.”

“You're right my Love but I intend to make it a firm spanking.” Tim said. “A good what-for to remind them to ask us earlier. The cheek of it. Oh look I have two cute cheeks in my lap. They look a little pale. Don't worry Dylan I'll fix that soon enough.”

“Better late than never.” Dylan said. “Ouch! Where's the warm-up? Oh this is it. Ow! Fucking hell that smarts.”

“I think we need to get them to sleep in separate rooms.” Bryce said. “Holy crap! Ouch!”

Glancing across at the loveseat I could see a very nice glow spreading across Dylan's cute ass. I picked up my pace a little because it appeared Bryce was lagging a little behind in the behind tinting. He squirmed very nicely when I pinned his legs beneath mine. The sweet boy knew things were about to get a little hotter. Two things in particular would be radiating some heat. I set about Bryce's ass with a flurry of blows. Pulling him closer to me I pinned my cock against the outside of his thigh. This spanking would continue until I was ready to fuck him.

A good thing both Tim and I were ready to fuck our naughty boys soon. Bryce had almost experienced a meltdown from remembering his last visit with Nathaniel. I got him on his back and my cock inside him before he crumbled. While I fucked him I leaned forward to kiss him and reassure him it was all right. I urged him to stay with me.

“Look into my eyes Bryce.” I said softly. “This is Rohan. You're safe now. I promise. There's just your hot ass and my cock going at it. I love you Bryce. Nobody's going to hurt you now. Relax. Good boy. Well done my fine poisoner.”

“Oh Rohan thank you.” Bryce said. “I'm okay now. You can pick up the pace. Please. Fuck yes! My ass hurts so good.”

“Glad you like it but I'm gladder I like it.” I said obliging him by pounding him harder.

Safely back with us and free of his painful memories for now Bryce urged me on. He knew I was close then I reached down to tug on his meat. The closer I got to unloading the harder I jerked him off. I was really pulling on him hard when I gave in to the pleasure and filled his ass. Three strokes later Bryce's cock spat cum over his chest and stomach. I kept jerking him off even though we had both finished unloading.

“Better not to risk leaving a single drop inside him.” Tim agreed. “See what I mean about his mind Dylan? No I don't mind lying here in your behind. That mess you made is a treat for my husband. He'll be done soon enough. There what did I tell you. Go ahead my Love enjoy some seed of son. I believe you've got it all. Good work. I'm sure you can manage to carry all three of us Scoundrel.”

“You'd have to do a lot of energy work to get me to walk upstairs.” Dylan said. “Thanks for understanding Dad.”

Tim helped me tuck Dylan and Bryce in before we got in our bed. I had to make a detour downstairs to get us a G&T. Tim decided married life suited him when I handed him his drink and snuggled next to him. I told him I was glad because being married to him suited me just fine. Especially when he was in his birthday suit I added.
