The runaways Chapter 10 (Nick Holms) Tanner had his arm around David when he walked back into the room. He had heard about what had happened to Officer Cocren. His feelings about the whole thing is that boys will be boys. He himself use to mess around when he was a kid. He was now happily married with two boys of his own around the same age as the two missing boys. He thought his own sons might even know the boys who were missing. He would have to ask them when he got home. "You ok? That statement was uncalled for. I am going to make a report when I get back to the office." Nick said. "No, it is ok. it will just make things worse if you do." David replied. Nick thought about it, he wasn't going to write it in his report this time, but if anything was said in Trooper Bucks report. He might make an amendment to his report. (Dr.Richard's) He was sitting in the living room with Eric. He had heard what the Trooper had said and he knew Bryce and Eric had also heard what was said. Sure the house was big but sound traveled everywhere. He had heard a rumor about Officer Cocren, But left it as rumors. David was a good man from what he knew of the young Officer. His work here was done and he had the photos he needed. He was going to put them in his report. He was still going to have to come up with a reason he hadn't billed Tanner for the emergency room visit but since he was the chief surgeon he can do what ever he wants. If he wants to bill someone or not was up to him. Truth be told he had only two people he had to report to and one of those just happen to be Willy and Chase's grandfather who technically owned the hospital. As a matter of fact the hospital and three others belonged to Doctor James Stevenson. The good Doctor was blown away, when he heard that the State of Iowa place the two boys under there care instead of their grandfather. It had to be politically motivated. If Tanner did not get involved, the good doctor was going to get Tanner involved one way or another. The young entrepreneur was a diligent and a hard worker. These two boys would bring out the compassion he was still lacking. Dr. Richard felt the boys would be able to help Tanner find the one thing he felt was missing. Sure Tanner was a great EMT but from what he had heard from a few people who have worked with him he lacked compassion. (David) He couldn't believe he broke down like that, and he did it in front of his friend and another police officer. He knew Tanner would understand but he did not know what Officer Holms would think of him. He decided he was going to look into what Trooper Buck had said and would bring up formal charges if he had too. Officer Holms promised to look into what Trooper Buck was doing there. Runaways are normally looked into by the Local and County Police, the State police come in when everything has been exhausted. This investigation was just starting. The boys were only reported missing two days ago. Which he thought was strange since they were reported missing the night they were spotted at Tanners grocery store. To many things just didn't seem right. Officer Holms apologized for the way Trooper Buck acted and said he had to get copies of the hard drives. So Tanner allowed him to download the footage from his computer storage system of the store. Tanner knew they would never be able to recover the store footage. So he had no problem letting the officer have that footage. Officer Cocren had followed them into the office and watched what Officer Holms recorded. Once that was done both officers left. Tanner was hoping this would be the last he would see of the Police. (Tanner) Dr. Richard said his goodbyes and Tanner went to check on the boys. He found them in Eric's closet. Only Eric and Tanner knew there was a safe room behind the wall in the closet. Now the boys knew about it. The room is not to big and only had one monitor that only showed who was at the door. So anyone in the room could see who was at the door. Tanner found the boys shaking and scared. The had recognized the Trooper when he was searching the closet. Both boys had been raped by the man. Yes, raped. the man showed no remorse fucking the two boys. But Tanner did not know that yet. The boys were going to tell him later that day. Eric and Bryce had decided to let Tanner get the boys. They figured it would help them trust Tanner if he was the one to get them. When Tanner opened the door the boys rushed to hug him. They were glad he was there. He held the boys tight in his arms. . He could feel how scared they were. He looked at the state of the boys and realized he needed to get them new clothes. Thankfully he had Bryce and Eric there. He could send them out with the pretense Eric needed new clothes for his stay. Tanner took the boys downstairs to the living room. Eric greeted them at the door. Tanner watched as his nephew gave each boy a hug before they sat down on the couch. Tanner decided he was not ever going to lie to the boys. So he told them what had gone on. He could still see the boys shaking as they talked. He was not sure what had scared them so much but he would find out after Bryce and Eric left to go shopping. Tanner asked the boys what their sizes were and Bryce took note. Eric was the one who asked what kind of style they liked and took his own notes. Tanner trusted Eric's judgement in clothes. It was Eric's style in clothes that he liked when he took photographs. Once all the styles and sizes were taken care of Bryce and Eric were on their way to the store. "You like to take pictures?" Chase said to break the ice. "Can you tell." Tanner said as he looked around the room. "Did you like taking pictures of us?" Willy asked. "Yes, you two guys are beautiful. But those pictures were needed. If I am going to help you boys we needed to take them. If you guys trust me all I want to do is help." Tanner told the boys. It was then that both boys began to break down. Tanner could see the tears begin to flow. It was also then that Willy had made up his mind to tell Tanner about the computer. "Do you really want to help us?" Willy asked. "Yes, I am going to do everything I can to help you boys. Even if I have to go to jail to keep you boys safe." Tanner said with conviction in his voice. Willy leans over and whispers in his brothers ear, then looks at Tanner and then shakes his head confirming what Willy asked him. "If, I mean if I give you something would you, I mean could you use it to help us?" Willy asked Tanner. "If you have something that could help me I would use it any way I can." Tanner told the boys. "Well we have a, ah computer. we kind of took it when we ran away." Willy told Tanner. "Do you have it with you?" Tanner asked. "No, we have it hidden, but we can't go get it." He told Tanner. Tanner understood, he knew anywhere the boys would go they would be recognized. He wondered how he would be able to retrieve it himself. He figured he was being or would be watched if he went into Waterloo. He wondered who he could trust. But right now all he could do was keep the boys safe. The first thing he had to do was get the boys out of the house and get the rest of their story. He knew where he could hide them but did not know if they would like the idea. It would mean they would be by themselves but at least they would be safe. "Where did you hide it?" Tanner asked hoping it was some place safe. Willy looked at Chase before he gave his answer. Then told Tanner it was hidden in the backroom behind the laundry of the apartment building across the street from the grocery store. Damn was all Tanner could think of, why did it have to be across the street. He knew the apartment building but he didn't know about the laundry room. Tanner thought about it for a little while then asked the boys if they would allow him to hear the rest of what had happen to them. But before they talked about it he would like to record and video tape their experience. But he would only do it if the two boys agreed. The boys thought it over and agreed to let Tanner video tape. Tanner helped Chase downstairs to the studio in the basement and set them up next to a brick back ground he like to use when taking pictures of still life. Then started the statements from the boys. They were about and hour into their conversation when they heard the alarm go off. Tanner quickly turn the camera off while Willy and Chase made it up the stairs and to Eric's bedroom to hide in the closet. Before the boys could reach the top of the stairs the door opened and walked in Eric. He smiled when he saw the boys at the top of the stairs. In his hands he had three bags of clothing. Bryce was a few minutes behind his son with four more bags of clothing and snacks. Bryce asked Tanner to help him with the rest of the stuff from the car. Eric took what he had up into his room and began to show the boys what they had bought. Both Willy and Chase looked at the clothes Eric had bought. Soon they were trying on new clothes. Chase and Eric were basically the same size. Eric enjoyed watching the two boys try on their new underwear. he couldn't help but chub up seeing the two boys naked and they did nothing to hide the fact that they were naked. In fact Chase enjoyed showing off to Eric as did Willy. Eric had decided both boys would look better wearing boxer briefs. Both the boys agreed with his decisions. Bryce dropped two more bags of clothes off in Eric's room. (Chase and Willy) The two boys loved Eric's choice in clothes. They loved the style Eric picked out. It was like he had been reading their minds. Chase could see that Eric paid close attention to them when they were undressed. Chase like the look on Eric's face it even turned him on. He remembered earlier when they were taking the pictures, Eric got turned on because he got a hard-on watching him. Of course Chase felt some kind of attraction to Eric too. The fact that he could be Tanner's double help the fact. Willy liked the way Eric was looking at him naked. It was a turn on. Both boys realized the feeling they had for Eric was not like anything they have felt before. It was like how they felt when Tanner looked at them. Eric made them feel loved and cared for, like someone special. Both boys were conflicted. They were convinced they were not gay. At least that is how they felt before losing their parents. But really was that true. Because they never really liked girls. Most of their friends had girl friends and their parents told them if they found someone they liked they could be friends with them. Still neither boy felt the need to date a girl. Tanner called the boys down for them to have supper. Bryce and Tanner made turkey sandwiches with fresh vegetables and fresh cut fruit. Everything growing boys would need. Bryce had called into work to let them know he would be to work on Tuesday. He ran a very successful real estate agency. One of the largest in the tri-state area. It was one of the reasons he like to let Eric stay with his brother during the summer months. He knew his brother was gay and that didn't bother him. He loved the photos Tanner took of Eric whenever he let him stay. Secretly he enjoyed the photos Tanner took of Eric naked. He secretly was a boy lover. Even when he was younger he loved to look at Tanner naked. Their mom and dad would let Tanner run around naked till he was about 6 years old. He wanted to let Eric run around naked and did when his wife wasn't home, but as soon as she drove up the driveway, he would hurry to get him dressed. Bryce is not gay but he does enjoy looking at cute young boys and teens. He even wished Eric would run around naked now, but knew he wouldn't at least not when he was home. The boys dug into the food and by the time they finished there was not anything edible left on the table. After they cleaned up and washed the dishes. Bryce decided to head back to Wilton. He gave Eric a hug and said it was a pleasure to meet the boys and walked out to his car with Tanner following his brother. Out at the car Tanner gave his brother a hug and said. "Thanks for bringing Eric down so early. I really think the boys will enjoy his company. I know I am not going to be around all the time, so it will be nice that Eric will be here for them." Bryce knew Tanner was the right man for these boys. He could see the care in his brothers eyes. If anyone was going to fight for these boys he knew Tanner was the man. "No problem, little brother just take good care of yourself and the boys." Bryce said as he got in the car and drove away.
