"It is Andy, You can call me Andy. I think I have seen enough. It was a
pleasure to meet you and wish you good luck with your marriage. I guess I
am your new case worker for the boys. So, I will be seeing you again.
Have a great day." Andrew said as he left. Both Tanner and Maria looked
at each other in shock. This was the very first time they had ever liked
one of the case workers.

" When does your case come up?" Maria asked.

Just then the court bailiff opened the door and asked the Boyer party to
come in. Maria apologized then went in the court room. They took their
seats where the bailiff told them. The Judge was back in his chambers.
The bailiff then called Mathew David Stevenson to stand then called
Andrew Roberts to join him in the judges chambers. Both Maria and Tanner
looked at each other wondering just what was going on. Andrew past them
and followed the bailiff and Mathew into the judges chamber, they were
not in there very long and they were back.

"All rise for the Honorable Judge Allen Marks." The bailiff said.
Everyone stood until the Judge sat down.

"Be seated."

"Would the couple please come to the front please." The Judge said. Both
Tanner and Maria got up and approached the bench.

"Are their more to your wedding party?" asked the judge.

"Yes your Honor." Our two foster children along with Mathew, My brother
his son and friend and a family friend Dr. Stevenson.

"Could you all come up and join us for this special occasion." The judge
said. While they waited Andrew stepped out of the court room.

"Well, it looks like everyone is here. So, lets get started." the judge
said then went on to preform the ceremony. The judge was just finishing
up when Andrew came back into the court room. Andrew was carrying a few
folders with him. The Judge noticed him waving and asked what he wanted.

"Your honor, may I speak to you for a few minutes in your chambers.."
Andrew asked. The Judge turned to Mathew and said. "Do you remember what
we talked about before? Mathew just shook his head and said he did.

"The court will be in recess for twenty minutes, then we will get back to
continue." The Judge told Tanner and Maria. Then he left to go into his
chambers with The CPS worker, Mr. Roberts. They were gone for more than
twenty minutes and Tanner and Maria were beginning to worry and when the
bailiff was called back from the chambers. A few minutes later the
bailiff came out and called for William and Charles Stevenson to his
chambers. They looked at Tanner and Maria and Tanner told them to go
ahead. Tanner figured the boys would tell them what the judge wanted
after they were finished. Five minutes later, Andrew Roberts came out
from the chambers and sat at the Lawyers desk. Moments later the bailiff
came out leading the boys back over to their seats."

"All rise." The bailiff then announced the Judge returning to his seat.

"Please be seated." the Judge said.

"Now for the next part of our proceedings. Would Tanner and Maria Boyer
please stand and please come forward." Tanner let Maria move forward and
they stood in front of the Judge. "Could Mathew please join us up front
please." They waited for Mathew, he came up and stood next to Tanner.

"It is my understanding that you wish to adopt Mathew David Stevenson?
The Judge asked.

"Yes sir." Tanner answered looking down at Mathew and smiled.

"Well, I am not going to allow it at this time. But I will on one
condition." The Judge said with a serious look on his face. Both Maria
and Tanner were totally shocked. Then the Judge then called Charles and
William Stevenson to come up to the front. Both boys tried not to smile.

"It is my understanding that you two boys are the foster children living
with Mr. Boyer." The Judged asked.

"Yes sir." both boys said looking over at Tanner and Maria.

"Well, I had a chat with Mr. Roberts and he thought it best to keep the
three of you together. So, I have made a decision. The District court is
going to allow the adoption of all three boys. As of today you will be
known as William James Boyer, Charles Saul Boyer and Mathew David Boyer.
Congratulation to the Boyer Family. All I need now is for both Tanner and
Maria to come to my Chambers and sign the paperwork and we will be
finished." Judge Allen Marks said.  Tanner and Maria stood there and
watched as the Judge got up and left the court room.

"Please follow me." the bailiff said. Tanner, Maria and the boys
followed, the bailiff Led the way to Judge Allen Marks Chamber's. Once
inside the Judge had them sign the paperwork and had the boys sign. Then
the Judge had the CPS worker Andrew Roberts come in and signed the
release documents from the State of Iowa. With everything signed the
Judge congratulated them and let them leave as a family. Once out in the
courtroom Bryce, Eric and Scott mobbed them along with Dr. Stevenson.

"Did you know about this?" Tanner asked James.

"No, I had no clue. It is just a big of surprise as it was for you. Dad."
James joked giving a hug to his new son. Okay not his son but he could
just as well be since he now had custody of his son and two grandsons.
Tanner just looked shocked. Then he noticed Andrew walking to the door.

"Hey, Mr. Roberts."

Andrew stopped and looked at Tanner.

"Can I speak to you for a moment." Tanner said. Andrew waited for Tanner
to make his way to him.

"How can I help you Mr. Boyer?"

"Thank you. What you did made some young pre-teen and teens happy today.
I don't ever think they will forget this day ever." Tanner said.

"All I did was sign the papers. I might lose my job by doing it but I
don't think I would mind that right now." Andrew said.

"Well if you ever need a job you can come work for me." Tanner said then

"Well, I got to get going I have to have these papers file before the end
of the day." Andrew said. He was about to leave when Tanner stopped him
again.

"Hey, if you are not doing anything tomorrow we would really like to have
you come to our wedding reception." Tanner said.

"I might just do that." he said and left the courtroom.

 Andrew knew he would be in trouble if someone found out what he did, he
figured if he could get the paperwork processed before anyone figured out
what he did everything would work out for the Boyers. It was a Friday and
the office was quiet. Andrew went to his desk and opened up his computer,
photo copied the documents and enter them into the system. Then sent them
to processing. Andrew hoped no one would notice them before they were
processed. Once that was done there would be nothing anyone could do
about it because it would be to late. He then sat back and wrote a raving
review of the Boyer home knowing full well it would get him a reprimand
but for some reason he did not care. He had read all the reports on the
boys and he knew they were lies. He had also read the court documents on
some of the men. Some of them still in the court system. Once he finished
he sat back in his chair and began to think. He thought back to earlier
in the day, when he first saw Tanner. Andrew had know idea why he thought

was time to go home. On the way he thought about what Tanner had asked

the wedding reception.

Tanner, Maria, Willy, Chase, Mathew, Eric, Scott, and Dr. Stevenson went
out for supper that night. They went to one of the steak houses in

hotel. Bryce made sure he got separate rooms for him and the boys. Dr.
Stevenson went home for the night.  Tanner, his new wife and sons went
home. It was going to be another long day tomorrow. Tanner, Willy and
Chase had to finish working on the new store and Mathew and Maria were
going to go and finish up at the VFW for the reception. They had over 150
guest coming and Maria had to help set up the dining area. Tanner and
Maria stayed up and talked about the day. while the boys headed to bed.
The day would be more exciting than anyone would have thought it would
be.
