The House of Uranus.

Uranus (Οὐρανός, Ouranos [úːranos] meaning "sky" or "heaven") was the primal God, born from Chaos. Uranus is both the son and husband of Gaia, Mother of the Earth.

In the ancient astrology, Uranus associates with intellectual freedom, creativity, and sudden change. Uranus sparks individual genius and innovation, particularly with regard to inventions concerning electricity, all of which are fundamental to the New Age. In modern astrology, the sign of the 11th House is Aquarius, domiciled (or sign ruler) in Uranus.

The Symbol of Uranus.

The symbol is both phallic and primeval, dating to Babylon (2nd millenium BC) and likely much earlier (see Franklin and Guest, Cave Paintings in the Dordogne, page 56-98). The shaft and triagular tip are derived from the penis; however, beyond the obvious similarity, its form has little to do with the modern male sign. Instead, its origins are found in the castration of Uranus by his son, Cronus. The empty scrotum is symbolized by the circle, itself centered on the navel, or omphalos. Omphalos (Gr. navel ), refers to both the center of the world (Delphi) and a stone artifact (where the Oracle issued forth). It is derived from the stone given to Cronus. Interested readers are directed to the Wikipedia entry: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Omphalos .

The Symbol of Uranus appeared on each of the Seven Catamites of Aquarius at approximately seven years old. The mark (stigma) is not a tattoo, birthmark, or other skin pigmentation. While the exact circumstances/causes are unknown, the evidence suggests intense sexual arousal at the time it first appeared. There is considerable variation in hue afterwards, as if the mark corresponds to its owner's psyche. At various times, the Catamites have referred to their initiation marks as a 'Zeus thumbprint', a 'belly-anus', 'hot spot', 'Pilsbury stigmata', and 'Aquarius trademark.'

In Aquarian culture, tatttooing the symbol permanently on a neophyte's belly conveys belonging in the Brotherhood, power, individuality, and immortality. The size of the mark is identical to the erect phallus of the recipient, while its color matches that of the glans or head of the penis. Its role in sexual intercourse is not well understood. It is likely related to spiritual attainment at climax. There are some who believe the Delphi Omphalos allowed direct communication with the gods, and the same is true for Aquarians.

The Importance of Seven.

Astronomically, Uranus orbits the sun every 84 years, spending seven years in each zodiacal sign. Prof. Kirby Hunt (1) notes that seven is the most sacred number in the New Age. For example, there are Seven Catamites. Seven also forms the basis for The Brotherhood, from regulating relationships to establishing progression from neophyte or uninitiated (0-6) to acoltye or attendant to (7-13) to tutor (14-20) to instructor (21-27) to teacher, inspector, priest, and so on to age 84.

The role of seven in sexual intercourse is never revealed to the uninitiated, though research (Franklin, Barber, Lawson, and others) indicates it influences duration—seven-hour unions are considered ideal, there are seven positions for copulation, and even the timing of thrusts follow the rule (like waves breaking on a beach).

Aquarius and Ganymede

Aquarius (water-bearer) and Ganymede (cup-beaer) are closely associated. Zeus placed Ganymede in the constellation of Aquarius after giving him eternal youth.
