Chapter 3

Both boys had a pretty good sleep and both woke up with plenty of time to get ready for school. Dennis actually went early and met Yen in the lobby with the others, just as they were about to head out as well.

“Hey, you made it down early, you coming to school now?” Yen asked happily.

“Yeah, decided to come spend more time with you.”

“Awesome. So, how was your sleep?” Yen asked as they all started heading out. The other two were talking amongst their own couples, leaving the two of them alone for the most part.

“Pretty good actually. I really have to thank you again for the idea of ear plugs.”

“No prob.”

“I told my dad last night that I had a boyfriend.” Dennis said.

“Yeah, and what'd he say to that?”

“He just said congratulations, I'd hoped you'd find yourself the boy you were needing.”

“And what'd you say to that?”

“Just thanks, but I did ask him how long he'd known I was gay. He told me he'd suspected from the time I was five, but knew almost certainly from the time I was eight.”

“And do you feel better?”

“Yeah, actually I do.”

“Good.”

They chatted amiably for the rest of the short walk to school and while they waited for their first class to start. It was lunch time once again when they got a chance to catch up, and they all spent it out in the yard eating their lunch together. That afternoon, they all met up at Yen's place once again and sat and watched a movie until everyone had to go home. The next couple days went in much the same way. Yen and Dennis were enjoying their kissing and cuddling a great deal, yet they had not moved past that. When the weekend came, the boys spent almost the entire time with their dads, since they were home, so it was only fair to spend what little time they had together, well, together. They did catch up a few minutes each day, but that was it.

Dennis was now starting to truly enjoy his diapers. Not once had he even tried to hold his pee and go to the bathroom since Yen first diapered him, and both his dad and Yen had noticed. When asked, he told both of them that he had just decided that there was no point, and at least this way he was able to concentrate far harder in class, because he was not first having to pay attention to his bladder, which actually meant he was doing better in class, not having near as hard a time understanding things. Both said that was good too, and his dad said he would happily buy Dennis anything that he needed, all he had to do was ask.

Sunday night, not long before Dennis was just about to go to bed, there was a knock at the door, so Dennis' dad went and got it, it was Yen. Yen was invited in, and Dennis was called, because he had been in his bedroom getting ready for bed. When he came out, he saw his boyfriend, then saw the look on his face and the fact that he was crying.

“Yen, what's wrong?”

“It's Jill and Julia, they were shot and killed tonight with their dads.”

“Oh god Yen, I'm so sorry.” He said and then as he was bursting into tears as well, he went and grabbed Yen and hugged him tightly.

“They were two of my best friends, and now they're gone.” He cried pitifully.

“I'm so sorry Yen, I liked them, they were so nice, and so smart, they didn't deserve to die. How'd it happen, do you know?”

“The police officer said they were with their dads and a car drove past them and gunned them all down. They don't know a reason, they don't have any idea who did it, the eye witness says he didn't recognize the car or the shooter, but even if he did, he'd never say anything here, because he'd know he was next. Their dads weren't into gangs or drugs, at least they were certain they weren't, and I told the police officer that too, so he thinks it was mistaken identity, but that the girls happened to be with them, so they were killed as well.”

“Did they at least die right away do you know?”

“I don't know, I hope so, I hope they didn't have to suffer. What's worse though is that their killer will never be caught, the police won't even try, not even for kids, we're in the slums, they don't care about us here.” He said, bawling even harder.

“Oh Yen, it's just so terrible. How'd you find out?”

“It's horrible, they've been with me and Zach and Bryce for so many years. Bryce and Zach live just down the hall, so they heard what was happening, and as soon as they found out, they called me, and all three of us went and talked to the police. He seemed nice enough, but like I said, he's not gonna try. He's already written it off in his book, it'll be classified as an unsolved homicide, and they won't even spend any more time on it.” Yen wailed.

It was everything Dennis could do to keep hugging and soothing his boyfriend, he wanted to just collapse and cry too, but he had to stay stronger for his so much stronger boyfriend in his time of need. Yen had lost friends in the past, but never like this, and certainly never ones so close. Dennis had never lost a friend, so it was hard on him, even though he had not even known the girls for long at all.

“Come on boys, come sit on the couch.” Dennis' dad said softly once the boys were very nearly cried out. They were the first words he had said, and it shocked the boys, because they had totally forgot that he was even there.

They did go and sit on the couch though, cuddled into each other, still sniffling quite a bit.

“I'm very sorry to hear of your loss Yen, death is hard enough to deal with at times, but it should never be for such a reason.”

“Thanks Sir. I've had friends die, just never ones so close to me. Living where we do, you have to learn how to let go, because life isn't a guarantee at the best of times, but here it's even lower. It just makes me so mad though that they were murdered and that I know for a fact that nothing will ever be done about it. I could've dealt with them dying naturally, or even a tragic accident, sure it would've been hard, but senseless murder by someone who'll never have to pay for it, that's what's hard on me.”

“Dennis said you were smart, but you're exceptionally bright to have already figured all that out at your age. No, I never wanted for Dennis to have to see a slum like this, but sadly, life dealt us a shitty deal, so here we are. No kid should have to deal with life here, life's already hard enough as it is on kids, but none need this sorta place to add to it.”

“Thanks Sir.”

“Enough with the Sir stuff, just call me Jim like everyone else.”

“Thanks Jim.”

“So, you're my sons boyfriend, it's good to finally meet you, and thanks for getting him into diapers. He wouldn't even let me suggest it, even though I've known for a long time that he desperately needed them.”

“No problem, it wasn't entirely selfless though. I have to wear diapers, I'm gay, and I was hoping to find a diaper wearing boyfriend to share all that with me. I knew he needed them, wasn't hard to miss to tell you the truth, and it wasn't that hard to get him into them, almost as if he was almost to the point of submitting himself.”

“Actually, I was. I never said it, and I probably wouldn't have, but if my dad had've asked me again, I probably would've too, it was getting so bad.” Dennis finally admitted.

“You should've told me. I finally gave up and figured that if and when you were ready, you'd ask for it.”

“Oh. Good thing for Yen then huh.” Dennis smiled softly.

“Yeah. So, how are you now Yen?”

“Still mad as hell to tell you the truth, definitely sad too, but the shock's starting to wear off now, so I'm getting better.”

“That's good. Dennis was just about to head to bed, and it's been a long night for you too, so I think it's time for you to head home.”

“That's not a bad idea. I have to go talk to my dad now.”

“Oh, speaking of whom, from what Dennis tells me, we've determined that your father and I might actually work together, what's his name?”

“His name's Juri.”

“That's what I thought. Yeah, we work together.”

“That's good. Well, I should be heading home, have a good night.” Yen said and gave Dennis a gentle kiss goodbye. Jim could see Dennis blush from getting kissed in front of him, but he thought it was sweet.

As soon as Yen left, Jim smiled to Dennis, who blushed more, and only excused himself to go to bed. He crawled in and fell asleep pretty quickly. Yen got home only a few minutes later and went and talked to his dad for only a few minutes and then headed to bed as well, only he had to change his diaper before doing so.

The next morning both boys did not want to go to school, but they knew that they had to. They managed to trudge their way there, meeting Zach and Bryce in the lobby on their way. Neither of them looked any better, and they hardly talked at all on their way. In fact, they had hardly said more than a few words to each other at all. Class started as usual and they worked hard until lunch time. When they got their lunches, they all headed outside to eat and chat like usual.

“So, how are you guys all doing today?” Dennis asked softly.

“Better.” All three of them said as one.

“That's good. I didn't get to see you two last night, but I'm very sorry. I hardly knew them at all, but I really liked them as well. Like Yen said last night, natural or a freak accident, that would've been easier to handle, but not that.”

“Yeah.” They both said.

“I'm gonna miss them a lot.” Yen said sadly.

“Me too.” All three of the others said.

Just as they were about to continue their conversation, some jerk barged right into them.

“I heard you guys lost your lesbo friends last night, they were gunned down because they and their dads were gay. Ah, too bad, just four more pieces of trash gone.” He said all smug and happy.

Then a side of Yen that none of them had ever seen before appeared. He went ash white, his fists balled up, he coiled up like a mountain lion, and the boy actually took a step back.

“What did you say about my friends you shit for brains fucking retard?” He said so deathly calm, that that scared the boy more than anything.

“What, you gonna hit me?” He said back, trying to regain the situation.

“One more word from you, and hitting will be the last thing you need to worry about, I'll kill you. They may have been gay, their dads may have been bi, but you're far lower on the trash scale than they ever were. Now, back off, if I ever hear you say anything about them again, I will kill you. And if you know anything about the murder, you'd best go to the police.” He whispered now so deadly it was scaring Dennis, Bryce and Zach.

“No, fuck you, you're a little gay baby boy, you're nothing.”

Well, that totally set Yen off, before his friends could even think of grabbing him, he had pounced on the older and much bigger boy and was pounding on him with fists, knees, feet, elbows, even his forehead. The boys nose was broken on impact from Yen's forehead, and that was before he even hit the ground, his left testicle was destroyed nearly instantly from Yen's right knee wailing on it, both eyes were blackened almost instantly, and then they both went down. Yen still did not stop though, he followed the boy down and was hitting him all the way. There was not one section of the boy untouched.

It took at most ten seconds for Dennis, Bryce and Zach to realize what was happening and to react to the situation, and as soon as they were able to, they tried to pry Yen off, but he was having none of that, he was super pissed off at anything and everything to do with the murder of his friends, and he was not about to stop now. It was finally Dennis speaking to him that got him to stop.

“Yen, stop, you're killing him, you're better than that.” He had to yell out.

By then, a whole host of kids had gathered around and were watching with morbid fascination. Never before had they seen such a beating, and never before had they suspected that it could be small, gay, diaper wearing Yen to be able to do it. Yen listened though and stood up, then spat on the boy.

“I thought you were a big tough bully, you were nothing, I was hoping for a better fight, but you never even hit me once. Now, does anyone else have anything bad to say about my best friends being murdered last night, because I'm still very pissed off and am looking to find who did it, and I'd very much enjoy walking through every last one of you pieces of shit that've bullied me in the past.”

Every last person in the crowd took a full step back, not one person caring to go up against Yen at that moment. They had no delusions that he would walk through every last one of them in his anger. Finally a teacher managed to make it out there and surveyed the damage.

“What happened?” He asked as if seeing a kid beaten to a pulp, very nearly bleeding to death was nothing to be concerned with.

“He thought it was funny that my best friends were murdered last night because they were lesbians, I warned him what'd happen if he said one more word, he said one more word, and I never break a promise. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going home.”

“You're going nowhere young man, you're coming with me.”

“Oh really, care to stop me, I'm still very pissed off, and you're the biggest asshole teacher in the entire school, you let the others bully me because I wear diapers and am gay, you just smirk at me when you hear them, so if you even dream of doing anything right now, I promise that you'll be joining this piece of shit in the hospital, or maybe even the morgue. Now, goodbye Sir, and I use that term loosely.” He said icily, the teachers mouth dropping open, even in a slum school he had never felt so afraid for his life before.

Yen just turned on his heals and started walking away. His friends decided that maybe it was a good idea to join him, so they all followed Yen all the way home. Not one of them said a word. As they entered their building, they heard the ambulance arriving, as well as the police. When they made it to Yen's place, Yen just dropped onto the couch as if boneless and burst into tears. The other three dropped down too and started hugging him tightly. It was almost half an hour later that they had cried themselves out.

“Holy shit Yen, what'd you do?” Bryce asked.

“Taught every last bully in the school a lesson. Just because I'm small, wear diapers or am gay, doesn't mean that you can pick a fight with me. I doubt I'll have any more problems.” He grinned through his tears.

“I was afraid you were gonna kill him.” Zach said.

“I was, if you hadn't made me stop, I wouldn't have stopped, so thanks for stopping me.”

“Oh.” All three of them said.

“In case you're wondering, no, it wouldn't have bothered me, it's either them or me, and it sure the fuck won't be me.”

Just as he said that, there was a knock at the door. Yen got up to answer it. When he opened the door, there were a pair of police officers there.

“Are you Jenik?” One of them asked.

“Yes, I assume you need some information.”

“Actually, we have to arrest you.”

“Oh, really, what for?” He asked calmly, the other three boys all jumped up as one though and started yelling. Yen held up his hand and stalled them all.

“For nearly killing a fellow student.”

“Mmmhmm, and is this on order of the teacher on the grounds?”

“He said it was an uncalled for brutal attack.”

“Mmm, really, well then maybe you should be arresting him. Not only did the gay hater not even see anything, he got there after the fact, but he's bullied me just as badly as many of the students have in the past, including the puddle of shit I pounded down.”

“Oh, and do you have proof of this?” The other officer said, much more alert now.

“Proof of the bullying, or of the fight?”

“Both.”

“Actually, yes, I do. Ask the principal of my school, I've placed two formal complaints on that teacher already for not intervening when he very clearly saw and heard me being bullied because I'm gay and have to wear diapers, and we've only been in school for a month. As for the fight today, my friends here should be able to tell you what happened, and there were several students around, but of course, most of them saw nothing, heard nothing, and of course will say nothing, because I'm just a gay, I don't matter. My friends were murdered last night, that puddle said because they were lesbians and their fathers were bi, so maybe you should be asking him some very serious questions, because even in the slums, people murdered for hate crimes, especially children, deserve to have their murderers caught and punished. And if you even think of arresting me, without a proper warrant for arrest by a judge, you're gonna find that I'll be your absolute worst enemy. Now, I may be poor, I may be gay, and I may have to wear diapers, but this is my property, and you are currently trespassing, so if you'd please fuck off, I'm still very angry at everything, and you're not making my day any better.” He said, and then unceremoniously slammed the door in their faces, very nearly breaking officer number ones nose.

“Holy shit, you just told off the police.” Zach giggled.

“Yeah, and it felt good too. They've never helped in the past, so why should I give a damn what they have to say.”

“Aren't you afraid that you'll be arrested though?” Bryce asked.

“Not really, and even if they do, what can they charge me with? I was only protecting myself, and I gave very clear warnings as to what'd happen if he tried me, so it was his fault.”

“I hate to tell you this Baby, but that was attempted murder, they could also charge you with physical assault, and obstruction of justice if they really want.” Dennis pointed out.

“Maybe, but without a warrant, they can't arrest me, I'm a child, and that has to be authorized by a judge at all times, unless caught in the act. It was also only assault because he didn't back down, but I will accept the attempted murder, 'cause I would'a killed him.” He smiled serenely.

“They will be back.” Bryce said.

“I know, and if they do, I'll do what I have to do.”

“Figures, I finally find someone I love, and you go and do something to get your ass thrown in jail. By the time you get out, you won't be a virgin anymore.” Dennis teased.

“How can you joke at a time like this?” Zach asked.

“Because, like Yen, I don't think that he'd even be taken in, let alone spend a minute in jail. He didn't technically do anything wrong, other than not stopping when no brains went down, and when the police talk to the school principal, they'll know the teacher was lying, so only he'll get in trouble.”

“Oh.” Both boys said.

“Exactly. Besides, even if I do go to jail Dennis, I ain't nobody's bitch, they'd all be my bitches, and my bitches don't get to fuck me.” Yen said all tough, then started giggling.

“Geez, he takes on one bully and thinks he's the king of the world.” Bryce snorted.

“Yeah, but did you see how the entire ring of kids backed off when I challenged them, not one of them wanted to tangle with me. It was kinda nice feeling that power for the first time.”

“Yeah, we saw it, but the problem is, that power will bring out the idiots who'd love nothing more than to fight you to prove their strength.”

“If that's the case, then so be it, I just have to be sure to win it if I can't walk away from it.”

“Yeah, walking away works well. Remember Adam last year, tried to walk away from that bully, but the second he had his back turned, the bastard shoved a knife between his ribs, now he's dead and the asshole's in the kiddy pen and probably won't be there too much longer.” Bryce said.

“I remember, all too well. Not a good friend, but a good kid, just one of many that were lost far before their time in this hell hole.” Yen sighed.

“Yeah, too many are lost before their time here, Julia, Jill, Adam, and remember Nicholas and Matthew, and there was Amanda and, oh god, what was his name from grade three. I can't even remember them all, friends or not, good kids, all killed, all before their time.” Zach said sadly.

“Hopefully they're in a better place now is all we can hope for. Whether there's a heaven or hell or not, almost anything or anywhere has to be better than here, at least I sure hope so. Not that I care to find out any time soon mind you.”

“So sad. So, what are we gonna do now anyway?” Dennis asked.

“Not a clue. I need a diaper change though for sure.”

“Come to think of it, so do I.” Dennis said.

“Excuse us for a few guys, we'll be right out.” Yen said, and he and Dennis went to his bedroom to change each others diapers.

This was the first time though that Dennis had ever seen Yen soft, he was so small right then, it was cute. This was certainly one way that Dennis was able to tell that all this had bothered Yen a great deal, even he was not at all sexually aroused, Dennis had never seen that before. Then again, when it was time to trade places, Dennis was not in the least bit hard either, and though Yen had seen him when not hard, even then he had been at least slightly chubby, now he was not. The forewent their clothes once they were finished and headed out to the living room to join their friends.

“So, what now?” Yen asked.

“We may as well cuddle up and watch a movie or two.” Dennis suggested.

So that was what they did. They cuddled up on the couch and watched three movies back to back, only stopping for drinks and or popcorn twice during them. Zach and Bryce excused themselves after the last one, leaving Yen and Dennis alone.

“Why didn't you tell the other two how afraid you are?”

“They're not as strong as I am emotionally, they cry so easily, I was trying to keep strong for them. How'd you even know? My dad can't even see when I'm hurting like that.”

“I've gotten to know you well, and the one thing that tipped me off more than anything was how soft you really were during your diaper change. I can also see it in your eyes. I also know you enough now to know you're not that heartless, no matter what you say, I know that you're hurting from having hurt that boy so much.”

“Yeah, but what's done is done, I'll live, I'm just really mad and sad and hurting.” He smiled sadly.

“Then come here Baby.” Dennis said and pulled Yen to him and started gently stroking his back.

The dam did not take long to burst, and when it did, Yen cried huge pitiful sobs for almost an hour before passing out. Dennis extracted himself from Yen and went to his bedroom and grabbed a diaper, wipes and cream, then went back and changed Yen gently so as not to wake him up. He then went and grabbed a blanket and covered Yen up, kissed his forehead tenderly and let himself out, locking the door as he went.

As soon as he got home, he changed his diaper, then sat down and wrote a note for his dad, letting him know what had happened, but saying that he was too tired to stay awake any longer and was going to bed. And that was where he headed next. He passed out cold only seconds later and slept as well as can be expected.
