This story is a continuation of Eric Murphey's Transitions. He graciously asked me to continue this and working with Tux Edwards, we are bringing you the next set of adventures for the Murphey's - oh, one small change. They're now the Murhphy's so you'll know you're in the new stories. We want to thank Eric for passing on the torch for this story.

If you recall, the family owns a ton of McDonald's and KFC restaurants. Joey is a pop star. Alejandro and Tran are sort of celebrities themselves due to their various activities. In this adventure, the Murphey family has been honored with doing a commercial shoot for McDonald's, but Toto, we're not in Kansas (oh, Indiana, sorry) anymore. Welcome to Hollywierd.

Say hi to us authors. We don't like hearing crickets when we post.

This story may contain sexual contact between adults and children. If you shouldn't read this, don't.

Transitions New Adventures - 4 - Flight to Paradise

Eric

After breakfast, Mr. Prescott comes by our room. "Hi boys, Eric. Have you had fun so far?"

In unison, the boys all say, "Yes."

"Thank you, Mr. Prescott, for your generosity."

"You are most welcome. I have another surprise. I know you wanted a Hollywood vacation while you were here, but I have a surprise lined up for you. I guarantee you will love every minute of it. Are you ready? Or do you want me to take you to the airport so you can go back to Indiana?"

"We are open to whatever you have planned. So far, you have been a gracious and generous host."

"Peter, lead the way. I'll have my assistant pack your bags since we won't be coming back here tonight. Your bags should arrive at our destination in time for bed. Grab anything you need before then." Chandler leaves the room and disappears.

Peter

I open the back service door to the hotel to let the family out, and instead of the stretch Hummer, there's a magnificent bird sitting there.

It's an AW109 Power Grand, waiting for Eric and his three boys. Mr. Prescott is already on board, chatting with the pilot and giving him some suggestions on our route so that the Murphy's will have a nice visual tour along the way. The easiest way to ensure their safety is to take to the skies and travel to the Prescott Estate in Grizzly Valley, California.

As the family arrives, I greet them and help them get settled into the helicopter. I take a moment to explain to the boys the details of the aircraft, telling them about the twin-engine design and the comfortable leather seats they'll be sitting in. I want them to feel excited and safe during the flight. I point out their headphones so that we can all talk and hear each other during the flight.

We take off from the parking lot at Magic Mountain and circle south over Los Angeles for some sightseeing before we begin our journey to the Sierra Nevada Mountains. As we fly over the city, I point out the famous landmarks like the Hollywood Sign and the Griffith Observatory. The boys are fascinated, and I can see the excitement in their eyes.

As we continue on our journey, I tell them about the beauty of the Sierra Nevada Mountains and the sights they'll see once we arrive at the Prescott Estate. The estate is surrounded by lush forests and streams. There is even a nice waterfall. I know they'll love the natural beauty of the area.

My job as a bodyguard is to protect Eric and his family, but moments like these, where I get to share in their excitement and see the world through their eyes, make it all worth it. I feel privileged to be a part of their journey, and I know that this will be a trip they'll never forget.

Joey

I'm sitting in a helicopter with my dad, my brothers Tran and Alejandro, and our bodyguard Peter. Mr. Prescott is up front with the pilot. We're flying from Magic Mountain to a place called Grizzly Valley, California, and I'm totally in awe of Peter. He's so cool and collected, and I can tell he knows everything there is to know about flying.

As we soar over the mountains, Peter points out all the sights below. I hang on every word, eager to learn more about this incredible experience. We all have headsets on, so we can talk. My stomach feels like we are still on a roller coaster as we zoom past towering trees and over mountain tops. We fly into an area that has a lot of green trees, a river, and a few cliffs.

"Look down there, Joey," Peter says, his voice filled with excitement. "See that valley? That's Grizzly Valley, where we're heading."

I peer out the window and see a vast expanse of greenery and mountains stretching out before me. It's breathtaking, and I can't wait to explore it all. I want Peter to show me everything, and I do mean everything.

The Prescott Estate, Grizzly Valley, CA

Chandler

As I look out over the Prescott Estate, I feel a sense of pride and peace wash over me. The property is nestled into the hills, backing up to the Grizzly Valley Preserve, and offers a beautiful refuge from city life.

The estate has everything one could need, from the helipad that allows us to quickly and easily travel to and from the property, to the stables and arena where we can ride our horses and enjoy the great outdoors.

The house itself is magnificent, with ample space for both family and guests, not to mention the full time staff that tend to the property and animals. I am excited at the thought of the Murphy family being the new residents of this beautiful property, and I know they will appreciate all that it has to offer.

Interestingly, I recently found out that the Murphy's currently have a bowling alley in their house. I can't help but smile, knowing that they will feel right at home with the one we have here in the basement.

The estate is also not far from Ethan and Andrew Thomas' place, who are good friends of mine. Before his death, my son, River, was friends with Andrew. They loved to explore the preserve together and ride horses. It's been 12 years since he died at age 16. It's bittersweet to be so close to where he and Andrew used to spend time together, but I take comfort in the fact that his memory lives on in the beauty of this property. Ethan and Andrew have also really grown. With their work at the foundation, their house has become an amazing estate as well, with the purpose of raising funds for the Lincoln Thomas Foundation. Thanks to some generous donations, they have a lodge and some pretty amazing grounds to host parties and events. The Prescott Foundation is proud to work with them, not only helping with the runaways, but also helping teens recover from drug and alcohol addictions. I hope that it will make a difference in at least one young person's life.

Overall, The Prescott Estate has been a special place to me and my family, and I am excited for the Murphy family to experience all that it has to offer. It's a place where they can come together and enjoy all that life has to offer in a peaceful and beautiful setting.

Eric

The helicopter lands at this magnificent resort. Chandler looks at me and says, "Welcome home."

I'm thinking, home? This is his home? Wow. We follow him to the house, which might as well be a fancy resort. I notice that there is a sign like you would find on a ranch. The words form an arch, Prescott Estate. Underneath appears to be their brand. It's a backwards P with an E coming off of the back of the P. I notice that the same brand is showing up throughout this magnificent home as we get a whirlwind tour. Chandler takes me to the most amazing bedroom. It's got an oversize bed with log posts. It's really high, in fact, it has little step stools to get on the bed. The ceilings must be 20 feet high, and the entire house is log lodge style.

"This is your room, Eric." He tells me.

"Wow, really? This is amazing."

"Nothing but the finest for you. You'll find everything you need in the dressers, and the bathroom is over there. Your boys will be in the next room over. They can share or each have their own. Peter will be at the end of the hall, but we don't expect any issues out here."

I'm overwhelmed. The boys come running in. Peter has taken them on a tour too. "Ba, ba, you won't believe it, they have horses! We can ride them!"

"But you don't know how to ride horses."

"Ba, Peter said he would get a local boy to come teach us how."

Chandler tells us all to follow him to the great room. We quickly head out to an amazing room with a fireplace and large windows that look out over the valley. There large comfy couches and over stuffed chairs that form a semi circle around the fireplace. There is a table, made of split logs in the center, with carved grizzly bears as decorative legs holding up the four corner. The fireplace has a mantle that is about head height and looks to be made out of the same stone that the hearth is carved from. Looking out the windows, we can see that the sun is just going down and the shadows are long and dark.

Chandler

"Welcome to the Prescott Estate. This will be your home for as long as you need. Please take time to relax and forget the craziness we just left in Los Angeles. My son, River, and I used to come here a lot. Across the street is the Thomas family. Andrew and River used to hang out together. They would hike down to the falls, ride horses, and just be boys and have fun. It's a simple life here, but everything you need isn't far away."

"Do they have any kids?" Alejandro asks.

"Well, buddy, they have three kids now. There are Josh, Max, and Grayson. I'm sure they will be great friends, but this coming weekend is the kickoff to Grizzly Valley Days, and you will get to meet everyone from the entire valley. You see, the Thomas' host fund raisers for the foundation that Ethan's dad started years ago. They open up their property to everyone. There's even a lodge that is very similar to this house, except it's set up as a hotel for people to stay in during these events. I had my architect work with them to make sure that they had the finest lodge to help the foundation. The rodeo is part of Grizzly Valley Days, as is the county fair. So you will also get to meet a lot of people from out of town."

"What's so special about their estate?" Tran asks me.

"Well, for one, Andrew designs landscaping and water parks for a living. They have a water park in their backyard. They named the lazy river after my son. It's River's Run. You'll love that, but they also have slides, a pool, and lots of other fun things to do."

"It's been a long day so far, but it's not too late for lunch. What would you say to a quick trip into town? I know just the place I want to take you all to show off our cute little town."

Everyone nods their heads, so they follow me out front. I don't have a fancy Hummer limo here, just a few four-wheel-drive trail jeeps. I drive one, and Peter drives the other. Tran and Joey hop in with Peter, and Eric and Alejandro jump in with me. We head into town to Mac's Diner. There's nothing like hometown cooking to fill up a hungry kid. As we pass Jose's Taco's Alejandro's eyes light up. "Do they have good tacos there?"

"They seem to be pretty crowded, son, so we can go there some other time. I know a lot of the boys hang out there when they are in town."

"Their sign is really cool," he says, "Is that Jose leaning on the giant sombrero?"

"I'm not sure, son, we'll have to ask when we go."

We pull into the shopping center, and I park in front of the Tech Tribe. I wave at Jamie, who sees me through windows of the store. It's a typical shopping center and Tech Tribe is very colorful and bright inside, but not as bright as Jamie's smile. He is so cute as he waves back at me. Peter runs in and hands Jamie a box with the Murphy's phones in it. He quickly joins us as we walk over to Mac's Diner. We are quickly seated by an older lady who is just full of charm. She's flirting with each of the boys and suggesting they all get chocolate milk. I'm not sure if the boys actually like it, but they didn't seem to argue. She runs off after seating us to return with the beverages. She takes our order and heads to the kitchen.

This group of boys inhaled their meal. I notice that Joey seems to have a thing for Peter. I hope Peter doesn't mind or break his heart. This boy has a bad case of puppy love. Remind me to get some new suits for him since Joey seems to be wearing out the sleeves by hanging on him.

Joey

I was about to panic when Peter jumps from the Jeep and runs into a store that says Tech Tribe. He hands a box to a boy about Tran's age who stands at the counter waving at Mr. Prescott. I don't like being away from Peter. I need him near me or I feel uneasy and empty. I jump out of the Jeep to chase after him when he steps out of the store. I grab his left arm and he turns us to head to a place called Mac's. I know to only grab his left arm since yesterday he told me that he needed his right arm free in case anything were to happen. I took that as permission to be permanently attached to his left arm. I sit with Peter gripping his arm as tight as I can. I feel safe when I am with him, and I just don't know how to explain my feelings. He keeps pulling on my fingers as if I am hurting his arm.

Eric

This is a nice little downtown area. I noticed that there's an older section of town and a newer section. They've really kept the town up nicely, and there's a big park in the middle that is nicely kept up. The trees are all trimmed, the grass is mowed. It looks like there is a soccer field on the left. Kids are out playing on their bikes, scooters, and skateboards. It's refreshing to see kids being kids and not have any worries.

Lunch just hits the spot after our helicopter adventure this morning. If you ask me, it's good ol' home cooking. Although, being spoiled with a trip to Magic Mountain and now this magnificent estate--I could get used to it. Alejandro is tugging at my side. "Poppi, take me to the bathroom, please." I slide out of the booth, take his hand, and we head to the back of the diner and find the men's room. I open the door, and we go into the big accessible stall and close the door. He looks at me like he's three and nods down to his pants.

"Do you need me to help you? You're a big boy."

"But I like it when you help me, Poppi. It makes me feel loved."

How can I resist? I lean down, unzip his pants, pull the button open, and slide his pants down. I slide the underwear down and point his penis at the toilet. He quickly squirts and says, "Done." I lean down to pull up his pants, and he kisses me on the cheek. "I love you, Poppi." I get his pants all buttoned up, and we head out to wash up before returning to the table. I'm worried that he's reverting to being a little kid, but maybe with all the chaos and attention on Joey, he needs some reassurance.

I go back out to the table, and Peter is missing. "He's gone to the Tech Tribe. He'll be back in a minute." Chandler says. I notice Joey is gone too.

Peter

I need to get the Murphy's phones back from the Tech Tribe. Jamie said it would only be a minute. I have my shadow, Joey, by my side. We walk in, and Jamie greets us. "Here are the new phones. Everything has been transferred, and they are all secure now."

Joey looks at the boy in awe and strikes up a conversation. "Did you fix the phones?"

"Yeah, I did some, but my friends and dad did some too."

"There are kids working here?"

"Yeah, well, kind of. We have a school here too for those of us who don't fit in with the regular school. We have classes, but we also get to learn more about science, technology, art, and other fun things."

"That sounds like it's fun."

"It really is. You're new here. Are you moving to Grizzly Valley?"

"Nah, we're just here on a trip. My brothers and I are here with Mr. Prescott."

"Oh, cool. He's a great man. I hope you have fun, and I hope we get to see you at Grizzly Valley Days!"

Jamie

Oh, my, God! I just had a conversation with Joey Murphy! I know he's younger than me, and I should be into different music now that I'm a teen, but he's just so cute, and his music is fun. Just wait until I tell the others. Mr. Prescott told me not to make a big deal about it, so I played it cool, as if I didn't recognize him at all.

Joey

That Tech Tribe place is nice. I liked Jamie; he was nice and treated me like any other kid. I could tell that he knew who I was, but he kept cool about it and didn't go all fanboy on me. I know he's older, but I think he would be a fun friend to have. I wonder if we have any schools like the ones he's in back home. I'll have to ask Dad later.

We head back to the diner, and everyone is outside, staring into the Jiu-Jitsu studio. There's a group of kids in there, and they're doing some wicked stuff. I see Tran staring intently at a boy who is in a silky white outfit. He's doing freestyle, has a sword, and is jumping and doing twists. I notice that the boy looks very much like Tyler. Then I see him wipe away a tear. I know we have only been gone a few days, but I'm sure he misses Tyler. I walk up to him, put my arm around him, and he drapes his over my shoulder.

"He's hot! He looks a lot like Tyler, doesn't he? Are you missing him?"

"Yeah, I wish I could have brought him with us, but I know we couldn't. I can't wait to get home."

"I know, but we're going to have a fun time at these Grizzly Valley Days, or whatever they're called. I can't wait to ride horses either."

Dad's calling us to have us get back in the Jeeps. We take a long tour of the town. Peter is pointing out sights as we go. We had gone through the old part of town and past the WalMart. We drive back out the long road to the estate and take a turn at a little roadside shop that has food and snacks. As we drive down the road, Peter points out where we will go to see the rodeo. It's already starting to have campers and horse trailers parked around the stables.

Next, we drive a bit further, and he points out a farm that he says the boy from the Jiu-Jitsu place owns.

"He's a kid; how does he own the place?"

"He and a friend of his father's live there. The boy's name is Haydon. He's coming to teach you how to ride horses tomorrow. He won the blue ribbon last year for his goats at the fair. The fair is right after the rodeo."

"How do you know so much about this place?"

"Well, Mr. Prescott let me stay at the estate while I was going through some tough times."

"You had a nightmare the other night. Was that because of those tough times? It sort of scared me at first, but you calmed right down."

Peter got quiet. I see a tear drop from his eye. This is the first time I've seen him cry. He seems as though nothing would bother him. We drove in silence for a while until we hit the end of the road and turned around. On the way back, he pointed out the ranch across from Haydon's. He said that the vet lived there. We continued back to the main road, turned left, and headed back to the estate. As we turned into it, I saw the Thomas Estate on the other side. They have a brand on their archway too; it's a triangle with a T inside of it. The T has a leg on the left, like a backwards L. What's with these strange ways of doing letters here? I'll have to ask.

When we get back to the house, Peter and Mr. Prescott drive us over to the stables. We all hop out, excited to see the horses. I walk into the stable, and my eyes widen at the sight before me. The horses are so big and strong, each one more beautiful than the next. I can hear their soft whinnies and the sound of their hooves as they move about in their stalls.

The first one I notice is a chestnut-colored horse with a long, flowing mane. Its coat is so shiny that I can see my reflection in it. Its eyes are big and brown, and they seem to look right at me. I reach out my hand to touch its nose, and it snorts softly, tickling my fingers.

Next to it is a black horse with a white star on its forehead. It looks so powerful, like it could run forever. Its coat is sleek and shiny, and it shimmers in the light. Its mane and tail are long and flowing, and they seem to dance in the breeze.

In the corner stall is a gray horse with a gentle expression on its face. It looks like it would be so kind and gentle to ride. Its coat is a mix of white and gray, and it seems to shimmer in the light. Its mane and tail are thick and wavy, and they sway gently as it moves.

As I walk through the stable, I can see the individual personalities of each horse. Some are shy and reserved, while others are more outgoing and friendly. But all of them are so beautiful and majestic, and I can't help but feel a sense of awe as I stand among them.

Alejandro

Wow, this stable is big. I see a horse that looks at me with big brown eyes. I approach the horse, and it leans forward, sniffing at my hair. Suddenly, its tongue shoots out and tickles my ear, making me giggle with delight. I reach up and scratch behind its ears, and it nuzzles its head against my shoulder.

Suddenly, the horse licks my head, and I can feel its rough tongue against my scalp. It's a little bit gross, but I don't mind because I'm in love with this horse. It's my favorite, and I claim it as my own in front of my brothers.

As I stand there, surrounded by the other horses, I feel a sense of belonging to this one. It's like we have a special bond that no one else can understand. I whisper to it, telling it all my secrets, and it seems to listen attentively. My brothers are off looking at the other horses, but I stay back.

I spent the rest of the time we were out in the stable with the chestnut horse, brushing its mane and tail, and feeding it carrots that Mr. Prescott gave me to feed him. I can't wait to come back and ride him. I hope we get to do that tomorrow. I heard Poppi and Mr. Prescott talking about getting lessons tomorrow.
