Chapter 17

Sam and the boys woke to the sounds of the crew working right outside their bedroom window the next morning. The amazing thing was that when they looked at the clock, it showed that it was a little after ten already. They were all surprised by that, because they never slept that late, and also because the crew outside had not waken them up earlier, since they were probably there since about seven or eight. Groggily they all slipped out of bed and to the bathroom to wake themselves up, slipped on their robes and headed towards the kitchen.

“Good morning Sam, glad to see you guys finally woke up.” Mike greeted them, he was sitting in one of the kitchen chairs drinking coffee and going over some papers.

“Oh, good morning Mike. Didn't expect to see you here in the kitchen this morning.”

“Hope you don't mind! I needed to get some of this paper work taken care of, and I wanted to talk to you as well.”

“Oh no, not at all. So what did you want to talk about?”

“Nothing much really, I just wanted to make sure that you were still good with taking the boys for homeschooling this year.”

“For sure, we'd be happy to.”

“Good. I got all the paperwork for that all done and I received everything in the mail that we would be needing, so it's all taken care of. So are you starting in September with the schools then?”

“That's good, but no. Technically we already started, but I planned on getting them all started on their school work on Monday. We won't be taking breaks quite like the schools do, and when we do take breaks, they'll only be to go somewhere and learn something else in a different way. My boys already knew about this, but I'm not sure if yours were warned about it, and I forgot to mention it before as well.”

“That's okay, I'm sure they won't mind. So what all do I need to buy for them then?”

“Well, really all they'll need are notebook computers, pretty much everything else we can provide. We still actually have to go and buy a couple more desks, maybe we can do that today, and then we will get the classroom all set up.”

“Okay, that won't be too much of a problem. Would you mind taking my brats with you today, I'll give them my bank card and they can pick out their own notebooks to use, and you can help them. To tell you the truth, I haven't the foggiest idea what the hell to look for in them anyways, and since you've already bought your boys theirs, then you'll at least have a clue as to what to look for.”

“Sure, that won't be too much of a problem at all.”

“Great. Oh shit, what about Roger though, he can't walk around yet?”

“I'll stop by a medical supply place and rent him a wheelchair for the next few days, and I'll pay for it, since it was our trip that injured him.” Sam grinned.

“I'd never hold you responsible for that, and you know I'd pay for it no problem.”

“I know, but I do still feel a little guilty.”

“Yeah, but that's only because you care for them. They told us last night about how they finally got you, it sounded pretty hot.” Mike grinned.

“Yeah, I do, and yes, it was.” Sam grinned as well.

“Well, I'm pretty much done everything that I came in to do today, so I should probably go on out and check out how the guys are doing and if they need anything.”

“Okay, well have fun. Oh, are the boys up and at em yet?”

“No idea. Last I checked almost an hour ago they were still sound asleep. I imagine that they're sleeping in as much as you guys did.”

“I think the only reason we did wake up was because of the guys working outside. Probably for the best though, we're certainly not used to staying in bed that long.”

“Yeah, and my boys should probably be getting up soon as well. I'll take a run over there and drag them out of bed, get them started on breakfast and let them know what's going on today. You can just go and pick them up when you're ready to go.”

“Cool, sounds good to us, see ya later.”

“Bye.” The others all said and Mike headed out.

Mike did have to wake the boys up when he got to the house, he told them what all was happening, they were happy about that, and then he went back to work. Sam and the boys got themselves a nice filling breakfast made and ate, got more of their laundry in to wash and dry, cleaned up what little mess they had, headed for the bathroom to shower, and got themselves ready for the day. Once they were all ready to go, Sam and two of the boys hopped into the truck to get it warmed up, while Tommy just ran next door to get the other two boys ready to go. As soon as the truck was ready to go, Sam hopped over to the next driveway, went into the house to gather Roger up, and brought him out.

“So, how are you feeling this morning Roger?” Sam asked as he made it into the house, the two boys were by then all ready to go.

“Lot's better, thanks. My leg still hurts some, but not so bad as it was. I also feel better cuz I got a really good sleep last night.”

“That's good to hear. How about you Roland?”

“I'm better, I slept good as well, so I'm more awake.”

“That's good.” Sam said, and then picked Roger up to carry him to the truck.

Roger was put into the back seat of the truck, Roland sat beside him, and then once Sam was all belted in as well, they took off. Their first stop was the medical supply store that Sam had told Mike about, and he and Roger just went inside, the others decided to just wait in the truck.

“Hi, do you guys have a wheelchair for this young man here, he's getting a bit big to carry around all over the place?” Sam asked when someone greeted them.

“Sure do. Were you looking to rent or buy though, because in the juvenile size we have nothing left at the moment for rent?”

“We were hoping to rent one, but if you have nothing available right now for rent, then I guess it'll have to be buy.”

“Yeah, sorry about that. There seems to be a rash of broken legs lately, you'd almost think it were summer or something.” The guy grinned.

“Somehow I don't even doubt that wheelchair rentals get busier during the summer when all the crazy kids are free to wreak havoc on all sorts of things. Roger here though found out that when fighting a tree, the tree will almost always win, especially when you roll down a twenty foot, seventy degree incline first before your fight with the tree.”

“Yeah, that's for sure, but is that what happened, that sounds more than a little painful?”

“Yeah, it was, trust me.” Roger grimaced from the memory.

“Yikes.”

“Yeah, for sure. He's lucky that it's only his leg, and that it's only a minor crack, because it could have been much worse.”

“Yeah, that's true, it could always be worse.”

“For sure. So go ahead and show us what you have for sale then please, something that will be nice and comfortable for him, his leg will need to be kept slightly elevated for now, but in a couple more days can be lowered, and he'll need to use it on his own as well.”

“Pretty much every model we carry will fit that very description. Those are pretty much all the standard features of all our chairs. The major differences are manual powered or electric powered, so it sounds like you're wanting manual powered, is that correct?”

“Yes please, we don't need an electric one.”

“Most kids really don't, and certainly not for a simple broken leg. In the manual ones we carry a small assortment of them, and they're pretty much all the same, but I Have a couple that are designed for boys that are made a little sportier looking than the standard, more fun.”

“Cool, show us those please?” Sam grinned.

“Hey, that's pretty cool, the red and black one there.” Roger said, pointing at one of the models the salesman was showing them.

“Ah yes, one of our more popular one amongst the crazier boys.” The man grinned.

“I bet. I like it as well. We'll take that one then please?”

“Sure thing. I have a brand new one in the back, so I'll go and grab it, and then I'll show you how to work it.”

“Thanks, that would be great.”

A few minutes later the guy was back. He pulled the new chair from the box, showed Sam and Roger how to fold it up, unfold it, remove and reattach both the seat and the back for cleaning, how to adjust and move the foot and leg rests, pretty much everything that they would need to know about it. He rang up the sale, Roger gasped at the cost, and Sam paid for it without even thinking of it. Roger had been seated in the chair as soon as it was ready for him, so while Sam was paying, he was playing, rolling around, getting the feel for the chair and how to use it.

“Well sport, you ready to go?”

“Sure.”

“How is it for handling?” The salesman asked.

“Not too bad, but it'll take some getting used to I think.”

“Yeah, that'll be the hardest thing, getting used to it. Just remember to give yourself plenty of room while going through doors or narrow places, pinching your fingers between the wheel hand holds and walls and things really hurt. One of my customers broke a finger last week by doing just that, he had to come back and rent an electric chair until he could use his regular one.”

“Ouch, I'll definitely try and remember that then.” Roger cringed, thinking that another broken bone was not on the top of his list of things to do in the near future.

“No kidding. Well kiddo, would you like me to push you, or do you want to try it alone?”

“I'll try it by myself for now, thanks.”

“Just ask if you need help then.”

“Okay.”

“Bye.” All three of them said at the same time as Sam and Roger headed out of the store.

Roger did pretty good wheeling himself to the truck, but he still needed help getting up and into the truck, so Sam helped him, and then he folded the chair up and set it in the bed of the truck. He too hopped in, and then they headed to the computer store for the boys to buy their computers.

Sam got the wheelchair out and opened up again, got Roger out of the truck and into his seat, and then they all headed into the store.

“That's a pretty cool chair that you guys rented.” Roland said.

“It's not a rental, they had none left, so we just bought that one.” Sam said.

“Why would you buy a wheelchair if it's only going to be used for a short period of time?” The trio asked curiously.

“Look at it this way, I pretty much have five very active boys, we'll be going out into the woods a lot and doing possibly dangerous things, and boys can be clumsy. This way if one of you injures yourself, we already have a wheelchair for you to use. Once you all outgrow it, we'll donate the chair to someone who can use it.”

“Oh, that makes sense, but I for one hope that it never has to get used again.” Timmy said.

“Me too, but you never know.” Sam smiled.

Roger was told to lead the way into the store, so he did, and Roland had to be warned not to push his brother unless he asked for it. Roland of course blushed from this, but apologized. They went in, found the exact same model of computer that the triplets had, so the twins decided that they too would get the same ones. They picked them up and headed up to the cash desk to pay. Roger handed over his dads card to pay, and the sale was put through. They headed back out to the truck and everything and everyone was all loaded up, and then Sam headed to the store that they bought the desks from. He went in himself, leaving the boys to watch over their goods, and bought two new desks and chairs. He and a store helper brought them all out and loaded them into the truck, and then before too long, they were headed back home for the rest of the day.

“Okay boys, we need to get all this into the house and into the classroom, get it all set up, and then get the room reorganized again so that it'll be functional. It will probably take a couple hours, and then we can figure something else out for the rest of the day.”

“Okay.” All the boys said.

They all helped, even Roger, who put the notebook computers on his lap and wheeled into the house. It was quite fortunate that the design of the house was conducive to a wheelchair use with no modification at all, the only place Roger would not be able to go would be upstairs, but that was okay.

It took only a few minutes for them to get everything into the house, and as Sam and the boys not in a wheelchair got the desks and chairs put together, Roger got the computers unpacked and plugged in to charge. He was of course done before the others, but knew that he would not really be able to help all that much, so just sat back and watched the others. Sam was working on one desk by himself, Timmy and Roland were working together on the other desk, and the other two were each working on one of the chairs.

It didn't take them all that long to get the desks and chairs put together, so now their next chore would be to reorganize the room. It actually took them longer to reorganize than it had for them to build the new furniture, because they wanted to be able to have some room to move around. They were all well aware that there would be no further desks being moved in, because they would not be able to fit anything else at all, but eventually they got the room set up so that it was perfect for their needs.

“This looks awesome boys, so now I think that it's lunch time, and then we should hit the mall and see if we can fill the desk drawers with the few things that will be needed.”

“Okay daddy. Can you guys get lunch going, I want to make a call?” Teddy asked.

“Sure, not a problem. Anything I can help with though?”

“No thanks, just want to look into something is all.” Teddy said, and then headed off to make the phone call he wanted to make.

Sam didn't ask, he knew that if the boys needed something that they would ask, and he knew that they were more than capable of taking care of almost anything that was thrown at them. With their upbringing and lack of parental guidance, they had had to learn most of it all on their own as to how to care for themselves, so that had a tendency to make them very independent, so Sam let them have as much freedom as they needed, but was there when they needed him, which was still a lot of course. Sam and the rest of the boys headed off to the kitchen to make them all some lunch while Teddy was gone to the phone.

“Hi Teddy, my secretary tells me that you have some questions that you'd like to ask of me, so ask away?” The boys' lawyer said when he picked up the phone.

“Hello again, yes I do. I was wondering if you would be able to help in any way in the purchase of some crown land up in the mountains.”

“Hmm, no, not really. That sort of thing is usually just handled by Realtors and other lawyers. If you know a Realtor, I can do most of the legal work for you boys though, it's not all that tricky.”

“Hmm, okay. We don't know of any Realtors, do you have any suggestions?”

“Sure do. One of my nephews is a Realtor in the area, he's who I use for all my buying and selling, he's pretty good. I can give you his number if you'd like.”

“Sure, that would be great.” Teddy smiled.

“Okay, got a pen and paper handy?”

“Yep, go for it.” Teddy said, and then wrote down the information he was given. “Thanks a lot, I think I got it all, and I'll just tell him to call you for any of the legal stuff, since he knows you well.”

“Sure, sounds good to me. So, are you buying some land to build another house then?”

“Nope, a vacation place that we can go and camp and hunt in that will always be ours to use.”

“Cool, sounds nice. Well, I should probably be going, I have an appointment in just a few minutes and I think I hear my secretary talking to him now.”

“Then I'll let you get back to the stuff that pays your bills, thanks a lot for the information, and have a good day.”

“Thanks, you too.”

As soon as they hung up, Teddy called the next number and introduced himself to the Realtor, explaining a few things. Teddy was able to give him the exact location of the land that they were looking at buying up in the hills, how much money they wanted to spend to buy it, and to buy as much of that land with as much money as they wanted to spend as he could, they wanted to spend a million. He was surprised by this, but knew his uncle would not give the information if he wasn't sure the kid could pay it. Teddy was told that he would look into it all for him, and Teddy asked him to email all the information, because daddy wasn't to know, yet. He was okay with this and said that he would take at least a few days to get all the required information to them. As soon as Teddy and the Realtor hung up, Teddy headed downstairs to help finish lunch and eat.

“Everything go okay?” Sam asked when Teddy walked in with a happy smile on his face.

“Yep, alls good.” Teddy grinned, the other two did as well.

“So, you're not going to tell me anything, are you?”

“Nope, it's a surprise.” All three boys said.

“You're not going to tell us either, are you?” Roland asked.

“Nope, it's a surprise.” All three boys said.

“Thought so.” All three of the others all said at the same time, but all with grins.

They all finished lunch up within a few more minutes and then sat down to eat. As soon as they were finished eating, they cleaned up and then headed to the mall. For almost an hour they mostly just wandered around and looked at lots of things. Roger did have to ask to be pushed after about half an hour, because he said his arms were starting to get sore from the different movements, but he only took about a ten minute break while Roland pushed him. They all saw a few things that they liked and or wanted, and a few things were even purchased, but the things they came for they went to the store for last and bought, the stationary stuff for the two new desks. Sam and the boys picked out probably everything that they would need, and they even found a few other things that they wanted and or needed as well. After finding all that they had come for and needed, they headed back to the house to get everything all put away.

Once they got home, they took everything into the house and got it all put away. It didn't really take them all that long to get it all put away, and then they were bored.

“Well, what should we do now?” Sam asked.

“I'm sure if we headed up to our bedroom we could figure something out.” The triple threat grinned wickedly.

“Boys, heads and dicks out of the gutter. Roger probably isn't even feeling anywhere near ready for sex, and even if he is, he certainly shouldn't be doing it right now, so it wouldn't be fair. At most he and his brother can give each other a hand later. Why don't we put in a movie and curl up and watch it instead?”

“Aw nuts.”

“To tell you the truth guys, I'm really not even in the mood anyways. Roland and I tried to suck each other last night, and I barely got hard and couldn't stay hard long enough to finish.” Roger shrugged.

“With all the drugs in your system right now, and with how tired you still are, it's not really a surprise, but trust me, in a few days, once all that wears out of your system and you get super horny, it's going to be one hell of an orgasm.” Sam grinned.

“I can't wait.” Roland grinned.

“I bet.” Everyone else in the room said.

“So, movies then?” Sam asked again.

“May as well.” The trio said.

The boys headed to the media room and chose a movie, while Sam headed to the kitchen to get a couple large bowls of popcorn and a few jugs of juice made up. Once he was all ready, he took everything to the media room and found that the boys already had the movie in and paused right at the start of the movie, having skipped past the previews. The boys were all seated, but there was a spot right in between Teddy and Timmy, the other three were on the other couch, so after passing the other boys their drink and snack, he took his with him to the other couch and shared it with the two boys on his couch as they watched the movie.

Mike came in not long before the end of the movie, so joined his sons on the couch they were sharing, Tommy just went and sat in his daddies lap, and they all finished watching the movie together.

“Hey Mike, so how'd it go out there today?” Sam asked once everything was shut down and they could talk with ease.

“Not too bad. We'll be finished tomorrow almost for certain, so pretty good. A day ahead of schedule is always nice. So how was your day?”

“Not too bad, fairly quiet and tame really. Mostly spent the day shopping and then watching the movie.”

“That's probably for the best. So did the boys spend all my hard earned money?”

“Nah, just a couple thousand of it. They bought the same model that we all have, and while it's not the cheapest out there, it's certainly nowhere near the highest end either. I think each one was thirteen hundred dollars or so.”

“That's good to hear. Well, I think that I'm going to take my brats off your hands for the rest of the night, but would you mind if I brought them here tomorrow so that you can watch over them again?”

“Sure, not a problem at all, I'm sure all the boys will have some fun. Not sure what we'll end up doing, but we'll figure something out.”

“Great, thanks for the help.”

“No problem, we're glad to help.”

“Well, you guys have a good night.” Mike said as he was getting Roger into the wheelchair to head home.

“You too guys.” The others all said.

A few minutes later they were gone and the guys decided to get themselves some dinner going, and then they ate up. After dinner they cleaned up the mess and then went for a much needed diaper change, and then went and watched TV for the rest of the night.

The next morning came and with it Mike dropped off the twins, and they spent the morning together doing really a whole lot of nothing. Roger was starting to feel better, feeling less in pain, or groggy from the pain medications. They were all happy to hear this of course. They ate breakfast and lunch together, but other than that, they all sat around just watching TV together. It was a couple hours past lunch when the day finally brightened up.

“Hey guys, guess what, it's finished!” Mike said, coming into the house and finding them.

“Really, cool! Let's go see it then.” Sam said excitedly, shutting off the TV without even bothering to ask the others if they wanted to continue watching or not, he knew they wouldn't.

“Okay.” Mike said and then led the way.

Roger had just been sitting in his wheelchair so he had been ready to go, so he and the others all followed Sam and Mike. Mike led them all out to the pool, through a short corridor from the rear door and into the pool house. They were all amazed by what they found. It was perfect. There was a clear glass roof of all glass, a few of the roof panels could be opened, all the glass on the sides of the house were a dark smoked glass for privacy, and there were a few sliding glass doors in a few strategic locations.

“Wow Mike, thanks so much, this looks absolutely amazing.” Sam said happily.

“Can we go swimming?” All five boys asked as one.

“Gee, how did I know that question was going to be asked?” Sam said dryly.

“You'd have to be brain dead not to know it.” Mike answered back just as dryly.

“Ain't that the truth. Go ahead and strip boys, help Roger out, and then I want for someone to go and grab a trash bag from the kitchen and the waterproof medical tape so that I can get Roger waterproofed.”

“Okay.” The boys all said, and did just that.

Teddy ran into the house once he was naked and grabbed the items his daddy had asked for, while the other three boys helped Roger to get undressed. As soon as Roger was naked and Teddy was back, Sam went about preparing Roger for swimming. Once he was ready to go, Sam stripped as well, picked Roger up and carried him to the pool, and set him in the water gently.

“Oh, this feels awesome.” Roger sighed. “Are you going to come in too daddy?” He called out to his daddy.

“Sure, why not. The guys are all sent home for the day, I have nothing better to do right now, so why not.” Mike said and then started stripping down to join the others.

“I think I'll be able to swim on my own.” Roger said, because Sam was still holding onto him.

“Oh yeah, sorry about that. I would prefer that you stay in the shallow end until you're used to it, okay.”

“Well, if you insist.” Roger grinned.

“Oh, I do.” Sam grinned right back, but swatting at Roger's cute little backside as he was swimming away, Roger let out a little yelp, but continued right on going.

“Thanks a lot Mike, this is so much nicer now, so much more private. It looks great too, but you added a few extras that we hadn't ordered.”

“Hey, with the amount you have and will be doing for me and my boys, it was the least I could do, and it's not like it really cost that much extra, maybe a thousand dollars total cost extra, so I'm not worried about it. Besides, what are friends for.” Mike smiled.

“Thanks none the less.”

Mike and Sam joined the boys in swimming, and other than when one of the boys went to dive off the diving board, they all stayed in the shallow end with Roger to play with him, not that it really bothered them anyways. They all had a lot of fun swimming and playing in the water, free to be as they wanted to be, but the happiest one of them all had to be Roger. In the water he felt almost normal again, he wasn't able to move quite as fluidly as he was used to, but at least he was able to move around with ease.

“Hi guys, I like the new pool house, it's great.” Marty said as he entered, startling the others, none of them realizing just how late it had to have been.

“Thanks. Strip down and join us if you'd like.” Sam called out.

“No thanks. It's getting to be dinner time, so why don't I head over to our place and get some dinner going and then you guys can all come over for dinner.” Marty offered.

“That sounds nice, and now that you mention it, I'm starting to get a little hungry, and I can well imagine that the boys are nearing starvation.” Sam smiled.

“Yep.” All said boys chimed in as one.

“Want me to come home and help you baby?” Mike asked.

“No thanks, I think I can manage. Come on over in about half an hour and you guys can get everything set up, dinner should be ready in about an hour.”

“Okay.” Everyone said.

Marty headed back to their place while the rest of them continued playing for a little over the half an hour specified. As soon as they realized the time, they hopped out, rinsed off, headed into the house and got dried off, diapered, and then dressed, and they headed over to Mike's house.

“Ah, good timing guys, dinner should be ready in about five to ten minutes, so you have just enough time to get the table all set.” Marty said as he heard them all walk into the kitchen, he didn't even bother to turn around. He was standing at the stove wearing nothing but a diaper and an apron.

“Okay.” The others all said, but before doing so, they too stripped down to just their diapers.

A few minutes later they were all seated and eating a wonderful meal.

“Wow, no wonder you're going to go and train to become a chef, you're an amazing cook.” Sam sighed.

“Thanks. I really love to cook, I always wanted to become a chef, and soon I will be.” Marty smiled happily.

They all got up and helped to clean up the kitchen and dining room, and then headed to the living room to sit back, relax and talk. They all sat and talked for nearly two hours, about nothing much really, but all having a good time. Soon though Sam called time to go home, and without even a groan of complaint, the three boys got up and put their clothes on, same as Sam was doing, and then they headed home.
