Every time I looked at this wonderful young man in my bed, my heart was filled with a combination of sorrow and pure joy. My love for Theodore had been so strong that I felt guilty for being happy now. In my deepest heart, I knew that my young lover wanted me to move on and was delighted that Richard was now in my life. Leaning down to kiss my sleeping angel, I carefully crept to the bathroom to relieve myself. As I finished and stood to wash my hands, the message appeared on the mirror. YOU'RE NEXT, YOU KNOW. It filled the entire space of the glass as I stood there too horrified to move or scream. Just when I decided to try to call Richard, the mirror shattered and I fell backwards onto the floor, surrounded by shards of broken glass. Richard heard me yell and almost cut his feet while trying to reach me. Gingerly lifting me up and carrying me to the sitting room, I held him and cried as he rocked me gently. Would this nightmare ever end? What had any of us done to deserve these attacks? WESTBRIDGE SPIRIT: CHAPTER EIGHTEEN (18) PHILLIP Setting me on the edge of on of the sofas, Richard called the front desk and arranged for a doctor to come to the room. They sent the hotel physician up and he examined my cut. I explained that I slipped on the floor in the bathroom and shattered the mirror. He cleaned the wound and gave me four stitches. At his suggestion, I made an appointment to have my tetanus booster the next morning. Bandaging my foot, he called housekeeping to clean the bathroom. As the mess was being cleared, Richard called Walter to let him know what had occurred. He was upset and said he would call Ace or Conrad as soon as he hung up. Ordering some breakfast from room service, we sat in the sitting room listening to the television. The weather was supposed to be perfect for our cruise. Our meal arrived in a short time and we sat talking about the remainder of the weekend. After we were through with our food, Richard and I dressed for our private midday cruise. It was going to take us from Navy Pier all the way to Glencoe and then south to Calumet Harbor before returning to Chicago. My doctor showed up and gave me my booster shot before telling me he wanted to see me in one week. The phone rang to let us know our limo had arrived to drive us to the pier. We dressed in casual clothes and took light jackets against the cool lake breeze. Along with a camera and baseball hats, we got into to the car for the short trip to the boat. Once at the dock, Richard helped me walk as I had my foot in a special medical boot. Crossing over the gang plank, we entered a 60-foot yacht and were greeted by the captain. Dylan Transom had been a Navy sub commander for 20 years before becoming a cruise boat captain. He moved to Chicago to be with his partner of 20 years, Christopher Uldridge. Greeting us as we boarded, he explained the route and made sure we knew we could visit the command deck. He then introduced the head of the service staff, Monty Holstein, and headed for his position at the controls. We were shown to the main deck and provided some iced tea and snacks before the ship set sail. It was a beautiful day and, even with the cool breeze, was comfortable enough to sit on the open lounging area. The captain made his welcome announcement and began moving us away from the dock and towards the open lake. Soft music filled the air as we watched the glorious skyline move along our left side. Monty came around to check on us every few moments to make certain we were satisfied. By the time noon arrived, we both were hungry and relaxed when he announced lunch was ready. Escorting us to a upper level table, he served us some Pinot Grigio and began the meal with a wonderful garden salad with a poppy seed dressing. It was relaxing and fun to eat outside and observe the beautiful sights. Salad was followed by a main course of salmon with rice pilaf. Everything was so delicious and light enough for a summer meal. A light dessert of cinnamon gelato and delicate Madeline cookies completed a thoroughly pleasant lunch. We made our first course turn towards the south when Richard spotted the black haze following the ship. At first, he didn't say anything until he had viewed it in several different positions during the cruise. I could not see it whenever he pointed it out but believed him since that had been the case in the past. Obviously, whatever it was made certain that only he could be tuned in to see it. As we made the turn to return to port, Richard claimed that it stopped appearing. Neither of wanted to let that apparition ruin our day so we ignored its presence. Docking back at Navy Pier, our limo driver returned us to the hotel and had time for a quick nap before our dinner and theater evening. Back in the room, we curled up for a wonderful little 2 hour refreshing nap. When the alarm went off, we ran into the shower and washed other thoroughly before dressing for our special meal. Just as we were finishing dressing, the phone rang with a call from Frank. He was updating us about a search for a cleaner. Ace located someone who could perform an exorcism before we returned to the apartment. I let him know that I'd talk to him when we returned home. The boys were doing fine and missed us terribly. Promising a special surprise for them, we ended the call and headed down to our limo. The driver, Nelson, greeted us and commented on how handsome both of us looked. Richard told me in the car that he suspected the young man might be gay. It was a short ride to Wildfire restaurant, a wonderful steak house we enjoyed from time to time. We arrived in time for our reservation and were seated immediately. Ordering some white wine, Richard and I looked over the menu, deciding on prime rib with baked potatoes and salad. Dessert consisted of a delicate chocolate soufflé with vanilla whipped cream and fresh raspberries. Everything was extremely delicious and the service was impeccable. The next stop of the evening was the Broadway show "The Jersey Boys," a musical about the pop band The Four Seasons. We had been waiting to see it for months and managed to get tickets for one of the last few performances before it left the city on its tour. It was an exciting show and brought back a lot of memories about songs my mother had introduced to me. The Four Seasons was one of her favorite musical groups and she had almost every album they released. Most of the songs were included in the Broadway show and told the story of how they became famous. Sitting in the theater holding hands made Richard and I feel like we were on a first date. It was a wonderfully relaxing performance and made us want to see more shows in the future. After the musical, our driver met us and dropped us back at the hotel. Nelson made arrangements to pick us up the next day and return us home before leaving. When we tried to tip him for his service, he politely refused saying everything had been handled already. We stopped to have a quick galls of champagne before heading up to our room. In the elevator, neither of us could keep our hands of the other. It wasn't like we hadn't been intimate but we were both feeling extra romantic. Behind the room door, I pressed Richard against the wall and kissed him using my tongue. He responded while massaging my ass and pressing his crotch against mine. Walking me backwards, he picked me up in his arms and carried me to the large bed. Removing our coats and shoes, we laid down before starting to strip each other naked. Items of clothing flew in every direction as our passion to be intimate grew. Kissing each other passionately and touching every body part we could reach just added to the fire. Once naked, Richard used the lube to open himself for me while making certain that my cock was slick enough. Raising himself on his knees, he lowered his body slowly onto my dick inch by inch with a loud moan. His eyes were closed and the look of passion on his ace was beautiful. With an animalistic sense of fun, he began to fuck himself up and down causing me to groan and tweak his nipples. I matched his thrusts with my hips and said how much I loved him as we made love. This session reminded me of some of the first times we were together. It made me wish that Oliver would get the wedding organized quickly so we could go on a nice romantic honeymoon. The rhythm became almost frantic as we moved all over the bed. Finally, I managed to push him onto his back and pound him until we both felt our climaxes approaching. One final thrust and we both shot our loads in a mass of screaming and moaning. Collapsing in passion, the two of us were panting heavily as we calmed down. I smiled and teased Richard about his being the hungry bottom. He just kissed me as we took a nice warm shower. Drying off with wonderfully thick towels, we returned to the bedroom and turned on an old movie we both loved. It was "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes," starring Marilyn Monroe and Jayne Russell. The musical was a classic and we both knew all the songs by heart. Curling up in each other's arms under the covers, we settled in to enjoy the film. Just being close to my fiancée made me feel safe even with everything that had happened to my family recently. It was comforting to know that we would always be together. As the movie ended, I drifted off to sleep with a dream about my first love, Theo. He and I were walking through the Lincoln Park Botanical Gardens on a spring day. Everything was beginning to bloom and sprout fresh leaves as we strolled from room to room. Suddenly, an icy wind blew everything away and I was left alone on a vast, white plain shouting for him as I begin to run towards a small wooden cabin that has appeared in the distance. The harder and faster I ran, the farther the cabin seemed to get. I was becoming colder the longer I ran and soon collapsed face down in a large bank. The feel of the snow against my face caused me to awaken shaking and shivering. Richard was concerned and held me until I was able to tell him what I had dreamed. Neither of us noticed the black mist gathered in the far corner of the ceiling, which seemed to throb as if it were laughing. The next morning, we awoke in a very chipper mood as we packed up our clothes and sent the bags down before ordering breakfast. Our last room service meal was a nice feast of cinnamon apple crepes with bacon and tea. It was filling and delicious and we made sure to tip the waiter as well as the bellman even though they tried to refuse. Nelson met us at the front entrance and drove us back to Walter and Oliver's house. Once there, he carried our luggage to the door and we had to force him to take our tip. Thanking him for the wonderful, polite service, we entered the home to be attacked by three boys who missed us, if only for a couple of days. Campbell and Kyle were especially excited since we had promised a surprise for them. It had been decided to take the boys on a lake cruise and then ice cream at a nearby parlor, which allowed us to have some much needed family time. Oliver asked to speak with us once the children had gone to bed that night. I knew it was about the actual ceremony planning but agreed to meet him at that time. OLIVER I was so thrilled when Phillip and Richard asked me to arrange their ceremony. Illinois had recently passed a same-sex marriage equality law and that meant this would be a truly legal event. The young men had been having a difficult time with some supernatural entity plaguing them since Phillip inherited Westbridge Manor. Right after I volunteered to take care of everything, we sent them on a special weekend getaway to relax and forget their recent troubles. When they returned, both men looked relaxed and refreshed until their three boys came rushing down to greet them. Once they took their bags to their room, Richard and Phillip ushered the boys out for a lake cruise and ice cream at their favorite parlor. I managed to get them to agree to meet me later when the boys were in bed. We had a lot of decisions to make if they intended to get married in three months. Showing them a book which contained the options I had selected, we went over many of them before they became sleepy and retired. The post-wedding banquet would be at our restaurant so the menu included all of their favorite items. Victoria had selected a delicate sponge cake with both chocolate and vanilla tiers with alternating fillings. Phillip and Richard felt that two shades of lavender, one light and one dark, were the perfect colors for the event. Their suits would be pewter with matching shirts of the chosen shades. One of our close friends, Frederick Galleon, agreed to help with the flowers since he supplied our business already. That was the last item discussed before everyone retired. As I put away my planning book and headed to my room, my mind went back to the first time I met Walter. OLIVER'S MEMORY I was a first year international business student at the University of Chicago. My course load was packed and extremely stressful, leaving little time for a social life. Since I was about 11 years old, I knew I was attracted to other boys and worried that my parents would disown me. They had very strong religious beliefs even thought they also supported individual freedoms. One Friday evening, I was working on a research paper at the library when a tall young man with amber eyes and sandy blonde hair approached me to inform me of closing time. Looking into that face, I was instantly erect and stammered as I gathered my supplies together. He stood there patiently, smiling, as I fumbled with notebooks and pens. Laughing heartily, he helped me and introduced himself as Walter Khant. I gave him my name, chuckling at the absurdity of the situation. We walked to the doors for that particular floor and out to the elevator. Chatting the entire ride, he asked if I was interested in a late night treat. I asked what he had in mind and he steered me to a local ice cream parlor that stayed open 24 hours on weekends. We each ordered a small Sunday, his was hot fudge and mine was strawberry. Sitting at one of the outdoor tables, the conversation flowed about our classes, families, and even what we thought about world events. He escorted me to my dorm room and we exchanged phone numbers before he left to return to his room. I entered my single room and put away my books. Inside, I kicked myself for not inviting him to my room. Somehow I knew he might be gay but I was so closeted that I didn't want to risk offending him. After a quick, shower and putting some Carpenters music softly, I lay on my bed replaying the events of the evening. Walter was so kind, friendly, and handsome that it made my heart flutter. Not realizing how tired I actually was, I drifted into dreamland after a few minutes. In my mind, I saw myself sitting in front of my pile of research material as Walter approached. He told me the library was closing and helped me pack up my things. Walking with me, I found myself at his single dorm room where he served me a cold iced tea. We sat on his bed discussing my work as the sexual tension grew. Soon, we ran out of words and sat in silence for a few seconds. Surprisingly, he leaned over and kissed me eliciting a gasp and a moan. "I'm sorry," Walter muttered , breaking the physical contact. "I find you very sexy and couldn't resist." Instead of saying anything, I pulled his face to mine and returned the kiss but with much more passion. He smiled and we began to make out in earnest. Laying back on his mattress, he climbed on top of me and I loved the feel of his body next to mine. Using his hands, my shirt was removed exposing my bare, slightly hairy cheat for his approval. Moving his lips down my neck, he slowly kissed his way to my nipples making them hard and quivering. I moaned and squirmed as electricity shot throughout my entire body. Even in this dream, I couldn't help but breathe very heavily and drip precum like a leaky faucet. As Walter teased my pert nubs, he removed his own shirt, revealing a gorgeous ripped six-pack and a light sprinkle of hair of his sculpted pecs. TO BE CONTINUED...
