Part two: The next rounds ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- The usual stuff, you know. Is it legal for you to read about sex with the same gender, not that that is going to stop you. Even if you came here by accident and are offended by the thought of gay sex, be gone. All the characters portrait are at the age of consent in Belgium. If I left something out that's important, mail me. About the story it takes place in Belgium, Flanders to be more specific. The characters and places and some of the situations are based on real events. The story however is a mosaic of my dreams, reality and pure fiction. Most of the names are aliases. This story consists out of three chapters and yes there is sex in it. I've tried to mingle the (too?) soft love stories and the (too?) hard erotica that populate Nifty. Let me know what you think about it, you can mail me about almost everything at the address optionalomen@hotmail.com, thanks. Thanks also to Nifty, my new friend J. and my not so new friend L. for proofreading and just listening and talking to me. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------- Still a year before the present Damn how was I going to muster enough focus to even hit a ball within those lines? Nervously I looked my cute opponent in the eyes as I grabbed my racket. Matthew flashed me a little smile as to say: I know how you feel and boy I can play you any way I like. Feeling a bit too transparent I tried to regain control but my thoughts were not on the game at hand. While we were warming up I was even more preoccupied than before against Mitch. The toss made it my call; I left the serve to him not feeling up to it at that moment. Before I knew the first ball was racing my way and that first game I barely managed to return the serve. Regaining my composure, by focusing on the ball, in the following games I seemed to minimise my unforced errors. At 1-3 down in the first set I broke his serve with long baseline hits towards his backhand. The turning point in the match, I was back in winning mode. Because if there's one thing I can't stand than it's to lose, all my dad's fault but let's not go into that. Feeling the adrenaline pumping down my veins while hitting forcefully two-handed backhands crosscourt or a sweeping forehand winner felt great. It's one of the things I lived for. You wouldn't believe the art of making a brilliant stop volley that drops dead just past the net unless you play yourself. Feeling and skill are necessary tools to be a decent player, though power play these days makes it more and more a bodybuilder's sport. Living a different plain of consciousness I didn't really think about Matthew consciously. Minimizing him to just another opponent worked to focus on the game. Taking the first set with 7-5 and a 4-1 lead in the second it all seemed to be going extremely well. At this point we switched sides and I, only for a moment, looked in these baby blue eyes and my emotions took over. Looking at him walk by in his tennis outfit made me think non-tennis thoughts. Around his slim waist were black Nike shorts, which hung till just above his knees, above the cute butt were his dark blue shirt that elegantly danced up and down while Matthew was serving or hitting the ball. I lost my concentration, this time for good; he broke my serve, and me, in the next game. The next two sets I got creamed 5-7, 2-6. I think I found out the reason why few gay guys make it to the pro-sports. At least I got to touch this young demigod because of course there's the traditional handshake. With a smile that could off melted the artic ice he came right up to me. As he extended his long arm and his hand with long, delicate fingers I did the same and feeling this bodily contact made me want him even more than I did before. "You're good man, why did you get those problems at the end of the second set?" Matthew asked "Well played, Matthew" I said and continued after a slight pause and I finally let go of his hand. "I lost my concentration and your game improved, by the way I always get tired after the first two sets" I smiled "Steve man, that's my luck because you were going on like a bulldozer," he continued with "I don't know what made you loose focus but it must be your weak spot" He laughed and I joined him with my best acting abilities. Matthew didn't know the half of it, not only his forehands had spin, but he had spun me around his finger as well. As much as I liked to slice'em back I was powerlessly undergoing the effects this boy had sent my way. We made it to the same spot where we sat before; as tradition dictated the winner buys the loser a drink, while Matthew went to get us something I had again a perfect view of his backside. It was becoming way too uncomfortable in my boxers. Think neutral thoughts I forced myself. For instance I lost the match, ... yeah but from this very attractive guy. This wasn't working. I let it go as I watched Matthew make his way back towards me and as much as I liked the back the front was even more captivating. Thin lips, flawless skin, cool black hair, perfect eyebrows and of course those innocent blue windows to the soul. The rest of the body, mmmh, well I like some muscles but never did like guys who overdid that. This Matthew wasn't very muscled but so fine, the composition of the body made it very desirably. Nothing out of proportion and he felt comfortable with that you could just sense that. "Here you go," he said. "Thanks" I said with a real, happy smile on my face. He looked me in the eyes and after a second started giving me the same smile. I stopped smiling because something had changed in his look. Wanting to end this awkward moment I quickly asked. "So, who you're playing next round" "Oh I didn't ask, haven't you looked at the competition earlier?" Matthew responded inquisitively "Probably Jack Keynes but I'm not sure, you have a good chance to beat him" I replied After we discussed the best tactics against Jack and finished our drinks Matthew was called to start his match. As luck would it, indeed against Jack. Sitting with a view I would kill for, I couldn't keep my eyes of the boy. After a while of watching beautiful bodies (Jack wasn't ugly either) move on the red surface, I realised something. The odds were very much against me and so I decided to head home. With a last view of the lad that, in my opinion, could get every girl he wanted I wandered off to my car. As the year went by I often made Matthew a part of my fantasies and he was great material for that kind of stuff. Lingering in the back of my mind I couldn't seem to let go of these unfulfilled desires with this black haired boy. A week ago After a pretty successful summer of tennis on the tournaments in the area I was pretty content as I walked towards the reservation book that was needed to reserve a court at our local club. Now and again I played my dad one of our father-son activities you know. I turned over the leaves in order to find the exact date and when I found it I grabbed the available pen. Scribbling my name on one of the courts that weren't occupied I was taken by surprise by a familiar voice that said hi at only a few feet away. I turned and saw the adorable face that had been in so many of my nocturnal scenarios. "Hi Matthew, how ya doing" I asked, feeling a bit awkward "Pretty good, you know I still owe you a chance for a rematch considering last year" He offered "What do you think of Wednesday?" I said postponing my game with dad and grabbing this chance with both hands. "Sure thing, what time?" He asked "Got 6 o'clock here but we could switch to another hour if you'd like," I offered "Nah six is good, I'd love to chat but my folks are waiting with dinner, so see you then" he said giving me a warm smile. I watched him jump on his bike and saw his glorious bod disappear behind the hedges that surround the courts. Excited I made my way back to the car and pulled out of the parking place to return home. Three days ago The entire day was a blur, fleeting hours passed without any recollection of them. This because my mind would gravitate around one event and one event only, even when I tried my mind got pulled back to Matthew and our upcoming encounter. I was already prepared before dinner so as soon as we finished I headed out the door with my racket and bag in hand. While driving the radio played 'Beautiful life' from Ace of Base. Humming with the tune I wondered how it could be that this guy had such an impact on me. Eventually I arrived at the site, early of course, so impatiently I waited for the arrival of the centre of my recent fantasies. The sky was clouded with small blue holes and a chilly breeze made things uncomfortable standing still in only a tennis short and shirt. A bit later Matthew finally appeared on his bike with that patented smile of his and I returned his smile. The way he moved, was already breathtaking such a controlled smooth strides. Measured paces and still supple like a predator stalking its prey. Oh come on get a grip Steve, I thought reprimanding myself. "Hi, I'm not to late I hope" He said apologetically "Nah, It's not even six o'clock," I answered "Good, I had to hurry after dinner" Matthew said as we walked toward the court. God I wanted him so bad, I could barely control myself. Still I was able to make small talk as we approached the bench where we threw our bags. At that moment I felt something wet fall on my forehead, soon I felt raindrops fall onto different parts of my body. "Oh shit," I exclaimed "Should we wait until it passes at the cafeteria," he asked "Good idea" I answered Matthew. Because the rain started to fall more intensely and watching him pick up the pace I could see the outlines of his chest through the slightly wet shirt. The rain cooled me down from my mesmerization for this boy. We weren't the only one's with this idea and the cafeteria was pleasantly filled with a few more duo's and quartet's. Leaving our bags at the entrance we searched a place at the bar not to near to other people. I asked him what he wanted and since we could be here for some time we decided to go with a couple of beers. Outside it started to pour and the sky became pitch dark but someone lit the cosy lighting in this place and it emphasised the outline of Matthew's face. The game of light and shadow made me wonder where the halo was to complete this angelic face. Mean while we arrived to the conclusion that we weren't going to be able to have our match. Lightning and the distant rumble joined the pouring rain. "You know if lightning hits the lights or fence of the courts a person on the court would be electrocuted" Matthew claimed "Really, damn I didn't know that, you're sure about that" I answered "Definitely," He said "same reason why you shouldn't hide under a tree in a storm" He smiled a bit mischievously or was I imagining things. We went somewhat deeper into the subject and as the conversation went its course I wondered how I could get to know this guy somewhat better. Suddenly I noticed he had a different look in his eyes, just for a second anyway before he continued talking. Wishful thinking on my part was my conclusion. So I started a different topic in our talk to, to fill the silence. "So what do you do except play tennis, for fun?" I asked "Oh I love doing nothing, just relaxing or maybe read a book or watch a movie" He said "mainly SF though". "Really, I love SF too, did you see 'The Matrix'?" I asked a bit excited "Yeah wasn't that a cool movie?" Matthew asked "Damn sure, the idea and the style ... it's been a long time since I saw anything that good" I said "You know they say that the Matrix 2 is even better," I said "A pity that I haven't got someone to go see it with" Matthew said Should I ask him if he wants to see it with me? We don't know each other that well and he may get the right idea, and not like it. I looked for a split second in those innocent blue eyes and decided take a chance. "If you'd like you can always come and see it with me in Antwerp" I offered Once the words had left my mouth and they were out there in mid-air with no chance of retracting them, I desperately wanted to turn back time for about 5 seconds. The split second before he reacted seemed to last for ages. I was preparing for the worst but to my surprise he loved the idea and was pretty excited. We agreed on a day and time and I would pick him up with the car. Afterwards we talked about our favourite authors and SF-TV series (who can get passed the early X-files). We also got into tennis, cell phones and the bad sides of our families. Eventually it got pretty late and the storm had subsided to a light rain and we both made our way back home after reminding ourselves about the arrangement. If happiness would make you glow like a lightbulb I would 've been a runwaylight at that point in time. Comments are like always welcomed at optionalomen@hotmail.com
